Undercover - Jughead Jones

Hi! Could I get a Jughead x Reader imagine where the reader and Jughead are best friends, but the reader has feelings for Jughead but doesn’t tell him. One day she goes “undercover” to get info about Jason’s death for Jughead and he sees her undercover and realizes he has feelings for her, and then there’s some rated T action and fluff between them? Thanks!

I kinda twisted the meaning of it but it lead to *high pitched screaming*

Being best friends with Jughead Jones isn’t the easiest thing in the world. He’s not the friendliest person to begin with, but some can easily look past that, like yourself. You and Jughead had been close every since you could remember, but the summer before Sophomore year changed things. Jughead became more reclusive and less in touch with you. It all happened after Jason Blossoms’ death. The day before school started up again, you invited yourself over to his house. Needless to say, Jughead was surprised.

“Y/N?” He asked, the bags under his eyes telling you he must’ve just woken up. Despite the normal summer heat, he was wearing a loose sweater and sweatpants. Just seeing him again, after so long, made your heart flutter. You quickly pushed it down and regained your angry composure. “I haven’t seen you in months, Jug!” You said, obviously breaking him out of his tired state. He quickly pulled you inside his house, and you accidently bumped into his chest. It was so tempting to hug him, but you fought the urge and watched as he closed the door behind you. When he faced you, you saw how intense his gaze was. “I’m sorry about that, Y/N, I am.” He said, his tone serious. “I’ve been working on something,” he said as he walked past you, beckoning you to follow him. He lead you to his room then to his desk where an open laptop rested. Pages of text cluttered the screen and just by skimming through the document the words ‘Summer’, ‘Jason Blossom’, and ‘presumed dead’ caught your eye. You turned to face Jughead who stood, unmoving, next to you. “This is what you were doing?” You asked, turning back to study the words he had typed.

“Yeah, ever since I heard he was missing.” He muttered, but you couldn’t help but be amazed by your friend. His drive and dedication to his writing was eye-opening. You faced him once more with a grin on your features. “Do you need help?”

The three of you were covered in mud from head to toe. This particular hunt had gone a bit south, due to the unexpected rainstorm that had decided to fuck with your mission. Dean protested the entire way home about the state his interior was currently in, constantly pestering both you and Sam to keep your boots off the floor. Although you’d accomplished what you’d sought out to do, all of you were bickering back at forth at one another like children the entire ride home.

A/N: this has been sitting on my drafts for like two weeks and I finally managed to finish it. This will probably be one of my last fics for a while, since my classes start again very soon, so I hope you guys like it <3

The man looked down at the folded piece of paper resting on the wooden table. Around him, the afternoon had already dripped into a cloudy autumn night, the buzzing of people coming in and out of the restaurant sounding muffled to his ears. The odor of the place was pleasant ー perhaps vanilla, with a vague hint of alcohol ー something that combined perfectly with the warm indoors atmosphere. Sitting on the opposite side, Min Yoongi waited with crossed arms, his obsidian hair falling over his attentive eyes.

“Is she any good?” Hoseok questioned, staring back at his companion.

Yoongi paused for a second, but did not look surprised. “The best in the business.”

“I’ve never heard of her,” he said, fingers reaching for his half-empty wine glass. The ruby liquid contrasted against his caramel skin, glowing under the dim lights of the establishment.

“That’s enough indication that she knows what she’s doing,” the other man said promptly, almost as if he was expecting such claim. He raised an eyebrow, signs of impatience gleaming in his irises. “Do you want it or not?”

Resting his glass back on the surface, Jung Hoseok closed his lips, thinking for an instant. He had ran over this subject for a long time now, but it still felt a bit strange to him: not the action itself, but who it would be applied to. It was not as if he was unfamiliar with paid assassins, but he was at least a bit reluctant to send one after his former friend.

Hoseok never thought he’d be victim of blackmail. He was careful, very careful; but, someway, it was not enough. At some point, the empire he had built for himself was being crushed beneath his feet, running like thin san in between his fingers; all that in the form of a wolf who hid inside a sheep’s clothing, who grew close to him just to dive into his secrets. Kim Taehyung, V ー whatever the name he went by, he was not the one to be trusted. And Hoseok learned that in the worst way possible.

Breaking free from his uncharacteristic hesitation, the man reached forward, taking the paper. Instead of unfolding it, he immediately hid it inside the pocket of his dark suit, looking around to be sure no curious eyes were on him. “How does it work?”

Part 1  | Part 2

You woke up in an unfamiliar bed, the bed sheets far too pristine and the frame far too grand for it to be your own.  The rising sun poured in from the large window and invaded your eyes, immediately causing you to blink rapidly until your pupils finally adjusted to the overwhelming brightness. In your sleepy haze you propped yourself up with the large pillow stared dreamily at the blue sky outside.

Even the sky in New York seemed alien and different to the one you were so used to seeing back home. Perhaps it was the hue of blue that was slightly more saturated or the clouds that appeared to be just a little whisper, whatever it was, you weren’t sure if you liked it.  No one liked change you supposed, even if it was only temporary. You couldn’t deny that you were starting to feel homesick. You hated feeling like an outsider and you longed for the familiar winding streets of your home city, the ones you could navigate with ease. Here you felt like a lost lamb, every step and every turn only brought you more confusion.

You looked over to the other side on the bed but saw that it was unoccupied, the side he’d slept on had even been made back up, the white linen sheets perfect and creaseless.

With a short sigh you dropped your head back down onto the mattress and longed for the feeling of his arms woven around your body. Yet when you’d given up all hope of your longing being fulfilled you heard the sound of the bathroom door swinging open and light footsteps making their way across the large hotel room. You smiled without even looking up.

“I was starting to think you’d never wake up, you’ve been sound asleep since about eleven last night,” the voice was calm, every syllable it spoke soothed you and you let out another sigh, this time one of contentment.

“Travelling is tiring,” you said softly, voice still laced with a drowsy quality as the final effects of sleep hadn’t worn off yet.

You heard him kneel down so that he was at eye level with the bed, his hand crept across the mattress until it found it’s way to your own hand. Finally, you turned to your side to face him.

Jimin was made of soft black hair and warm brown eyes, the kind of eyes that sparkled with a certain youthfulness, there was no bitterness in them, only love and gentleness. His smile was like the sun on a hot summer’s day, and yet you often felt you weren’t worthy of that pleasant warmth. Though you tried not to let those sorts of thoughts bother you anymore, they still nagged at you, demanding to be paid attention to.

He was wearing a white shirt and black trousers, the outfit was simple and modest yet he still managed to take your breath away, you couldn’t stop your eyes from scanning over every inch of his body.

“Do you have any plans for today?” he asked quietly, you. You paused to consider your answer for a few moments. You had bought a few travel guides in an attempt to be organised but typically, you’d left them at home.

“I think I’ll just wander around and see where I end up,” you concluded out loud. He bit his lip a little anxiously but eventually nodded.

“Just be careful okay? With your sense of direction, God knows where you could end up,” he teased, you laughed gently and shuffled so that you were closer to him, the duvet wrapping itself even more tightly around your body.

“Do you have to go?” you dared to ask after a few moments, breaking the period of blissful silence.

He squeezed your hand gently and smiled sorrowfully, “You know I have to, if I had it my way I wouldn’t have to work and I’d spend all my time with you but- it just didn’t work out like that. I’m sorry.”

A beam of sunlight illuminated his skin, it’s radiance now so dazzling you swore he was almost iridescent, he sparkled with the brilliance of every colour under the sun. Perhaps that was what often made you so anxious, he didn’t feel like reality sometimes. One day you might just blink and he will have vanished, you feared that soon he would see you for who you really are, he might see through the cracks of your happy facade. He’d leave if he had any sense. And just like that, he’d be gone. Just like that, the dream would be shattered.

“It’s not your fault,” you reassured him, he leaned down and pressed a light, airy kiss against the skin of your cheek, one that made you blush in a ridiculously childish way. You weren’t used to the way he treated you, there was no way to describe it other than he was just so nice to you. It scared you when people were nice to you, because one day you knew they’d stop. They always did.

You Could Have Just Asked

Another Darkiplier fic!
A little fluff, nothing major really. Maybe some angst? Nothing mentioned but hinted?

I felt like I needed to write something for Dark since I haven’t really focused on just him in a while.
Enjoy!

Your home seemed…off.
Something was wrong, Dark could sense that much as he entered your home.
The air felt heavier than normal. Like some selfish entity had soaked out the warmth from the walls.
Dark’s form twitched as he searched the house for you. The silence making him uneasy. A strange sensation for one such as him.
“(Y/N)!” He called out. His lone voice like a thunder-clap through the empty rooms.
He grinded his teeth, trying to distract his mind from the unpleasant thoughts that clawed at his sanity.
“(Y/N)! Are you home?” He asked the still hallways.

No, you should be home. Dark knew your schedule better than you did. He wouldn’t have wasted his time arriving if you weren’t going to be here to welcome him.

Then, somewhere in the house, he heard a floorboard creak.

So quiet, he almost mistook the sound for a trick of his rattling thoughts.
He followed the noise to the room he had failed to search.

Your bedroom.

He was confused to find you unharmed. You sat by your window, your eyes absent and staring. Thoughtful; but Dark could see the gloom playing with your features.
“Why didn’t you answer me?” He asked, reining in his anger.
You glanced at him, your fingers busying themselves with the sleeves of your jumper.
“I…I didn’t feel like it,” You said, as if it clarified everything.
Dark’s features twitched, but he pushed down his anger and moved closer to you.

Why weren’t you smiling? Why were your eyes, once so bright and vibrant, so distant from him?

“What happened?” Dark asked. “Did someone hurt you?”
The grin you formed was emotionless. There to trick than amuse him.
“Nothing happened. I’m just…not feeling well today.”
Dark’s eyes narrowed and he leaned forward. His fingers brushed against your forehead, feeling no heat or sweat, he removed his touch with more questions than answers.
“You’re not ill,” He stated. “What is the matter? Let me help, at least.”
You finally looked up at him. Meeting his gaze with an expression Dark couldn’t make out.

Where was your laughter? That siren song that made his world brighter?

There is no colour in your gaze. What has happened?

You stood and Dark stepped back. Allowing you to move without his interference in your space. You let your gaze drop to the ground. Examining the shine on his shoes for a moment, trying to form some sort of way to tell him why you were so…you didn’t even have a word to describe it yourself.

“Can you do something for me, Dark?” You asked. Your voice was so small, so quiet, Dark felt something inside him twist.
He nodded, “What is it, my dear?”
“Could you lift up your arms and make a circle?” You asked.
Dark tilted his head, confused by the request. But obeyed nonetheless.

You ducked under his intertwined hands and pressed yourself against his chest. As you rested your head on his shoulder, you felt Dark stiffen and hiss quietly.
It was a few seconds before Dark relaxed, and his arms encircled your body, almost crushing you against him.

“You could have just asked,” He purred into your hair. You grinned softly into his suit and he squeezed your waist.
He didn’t understand why, but he could already feel your warmth seeping back into the walls.

It is also 1 out of my 13 entries for @mamapeterson / @mrs-squirrel-chester’s Album Fanfiction Challenge where I chose the album “Smoke and Mirrors” by Imagine Dragons. The song prompt for this fic is: It Comes Back To You

Thanks so much to amazing sweet (yet slightly grumpy) @mysupernaturalfics for betaing angst for me.

You felt as if there was a hole inside of you. The hole was nothing new. It had been there for days, weeks, months, even the depths of it wasn’t new. You had felt the deep dark nothingness inside, that threatened to swallow you once before and it scared the crap out of you. The feeling of being completely and utterly alone had never been more profound though and this time you knew it was true.

You had been the poor girl in the neighborhood growing up. The girl that everyone felt sorry for because her mom was a drunk and her dad was never around. You had never wanted people’s pity. It had infuriated you. You didn’t want people to feel sorry for you. You wanted them to see past your circumstances and see you. You didn’t want them to only give you the time a day because they felt bad for the girl in the holed shoes and size too small clothes that came from a thrift store.

You had been very young when you had decided you never wanted people to feel sorry for you ever again. You wanted a different life for yourself. You wanted a life, a big house, a husband and kids. You wanted all the things you never had growing up and you had fought tooth and nail to get it.

Get Comfortable

Warnings: brief mentions of nudity (nothing explicit)

Word Count: 1585

Request: “Hello! I’ve had this idea for a deanxreader imagine where Dean and the reader accidentally rent a motel room with only one bed and they wind up sharing that one bed because its really late and they just want to get some sleep. I kind of pictured this really awkward scene when they wake up, like something like the reader likes to sleep without a shirt on & wakes up shirtless and all pressed up against Dean”

A/N: YAY! My first oneshot back from my long ass hiatus. Hope you enjoy this one, as I loved getting back into the groove :)

You were tired. You were exhausted. You were just craving sleep in any form of bed.

You and Dean had just finished off a case in a small town in Ohio. The case was only two days long; it was easy enough to track down the whereabouts of the vampires that were cozying up in town as they were all pretty recently turned.

So Dean and yourself raided the nest on the second night, (you didn’t go during the day as their nest was sheltered right in the middle of town). But although they were fairly amateur vamps, they were very quick and their bloodlust for you made them aggressive. The fighting match went down without either of the two of you being injured, but resulted in two very worn-out hunters.

Dean pulled the Impala swiftly into a parking spot out the front of a small motel, waking you from your daze.

“We’ll drive back to the Bunker tomorrow,” Dean said flatly, ending it with a yawn. You nodded with approval, eager to sleep on anything but a car seat.

The pair of you slowly made your way to the motel’s front office to be greeted by a middle-aged man whose attention was directed towards a small TV beside him. Dean gave a small cough which alerted the man that he had company.

“Just one night thanks,” Dean tiredly told the man. He gave a small nod, before reaching to the wall behind him that hung just under a dozen room keys, and grabbing one labelled with a faded number six.

Dean took the key from the man, exchanging it for the credit card that was originally in his pocket. The man looked at the card, and gave a tired smile as he ran it successfully through the machine.

As he returned the card to Dean, he said, “Enjoy your stay Mr. Helsberg.” Dean gave a small nod as the pair of you exited the office. On your way out, you gave Dean a confused look as to why he would call Dean such a name. Dean responded by pointing towards the name printed on ‘his’ credit card, and continued to walk down towards your room.

The pair of you finally made it to your room, which despite being number 6, was the furthest room away from the front office.

Dean put the key into door, as his voice slightly perked up, “Man, I can’t wait to pass out in my very own bed.” You gave a tired nod in reply.

The door opened, after needing a little more of a push, and you reached over to the light switch, flicking it upwards. The room was instantly illuminated with the yellow-toned light that hung down from the ceiling in the center.

But when your eyes tiredly adjusted to what the room had to offer, both Dean’s and your eyes widened.

“There’s only one bed?!” you exclaimed to an unmoving Dean. A few moments went by before Dean took his pack and threw it onto the bed.

“Guess I’ll be having a sleeping buddy,” Dean smirked, giving you a wink. You rubbed your face in exhaustion, just wanting more than anything to have your own bed to sleep in for the night.

Looking at the single bed, you took a further sigh as it was just big enough to fit two people; but only if they slept together quite closely. It wasn’t that Dean was the problem; you just wanted a big bed all to yourself as you knew that was the way you would get the most comfortable sleep, after a few restless nights working on the case.

“You know what Dean?” you said tiredly, before stifling a yawn, “I’m exhausted. You’re exhausted. I don’t have the energy to argue or fight you on this one, so let’s just share and be done with it.” Dean’s eyebrows briefly lifted with excitement.

The both of you started to get ready for bed. You were wearing a flannel shirt, over the top of a singlet, and dirt-tracked jeans. You really didn’t want to sleep in jeans and didn’t overly care that Dean would be able to see your underwear.

It wasn’t the first time, as once on a hunt he turned around in the motel room when you were still changing, and you hadn’t put your pants on yet. That was embarrassing. But tonight it wasn’t a big deal. And to be honest, you were too tired to care.

Dean left his jeans on, as they weren’t too dirty at all, but slid his shirt off with ease, throwing it to the side.

You were turned the other way from the bed, so you couldn’t see Dean, but you heard the springs creak as he jumped onto the bed.

You took your flannel shirt off, so you were left with just your singlet on top. Your hands reached to take that off too, but then you stopped yourself. You were tired but still awake enough to remember Dean was in the room.

Usually, you preferred to sleep topless as it was just a feeling that you enjoyed and made you feel completely relaxed before you would drift to sleep. But that wouldn’t be happening tonight.

Instead you maneuvered your arms around until you had successfully taken off your bra without even lifting your singlet up.

You turned around ready for bed, and saw Dean lying down, looking at you.

“Damn Y/N, that took some serious skill,” Dean admitted before smirking, “As well as being insanely hot.”

You rolled your eyes at the older Winchester brother, before turning a lamp light on and turning the main light switch off.

As you made your way over to the bed, you noticed Dean’s shoulders in the dim light, and the way they looked so toned and muscular and…

You instantly snapped yourself out of it. Your brain clicking you back into the present for the second time that night.

You walked over to the bed and slid yourself under the covers. Both Dean’s and your shoulders were touching, unable to move unless you wanted to fall off the bed.

Dean reached over and turned the lamp off. As soon as the light disappeared, neither of you said a word; the exhaustion catching up to you and forcing you both to sleep.

Your eyes fluttered open.

The sun was gleaming brightly through the dusty blinds, telling you that it was well into the day.

It was then you noticed that your arm was around Dean, who still looked fast asleep. You gave a small smile, knowing that probably the reason you felt so relaxed and comfortable was because you were embracing Dean through the night.

As your eyes began to adjust and gain more focus to the new day, you noticed a difference. A feeling. It was comfortable. But definitely different than when you had fallen asleep.

You slowly looked down to your torso, seeing nothing.

Literally nothing.

Your singlet that you wore to bed from the night before was gone.

All that was left was your completely naked chest, pressed up against Dean’s also uncovered body.

You gave a small shriek in shock at the realisation that you had practically slept naked with Dean. And not just that. You slept naked wrapped around Dean.

“Don’t ruin the moment,” Dean murmured, eyes opening. His voice sound relaxed, but not tired like it should have sounded right after waking up.

“Are you telling me you’ve been awake and you just left me like this?” you exclaimed, your voice raising slightly, while also trying to untangle yourself from Dean’s grasp.

“I’ve been awake for about half an hour or so,” Dean smirked, “And as if I’m going to wake you up to tell you that you must have taken your shirt off in the night. I’m trying to enjoy the feeling of having you pressed up against me.”

Finally out of Dean’s grasp, you pull the cover up to hide your face that was growing redder by the second and gave a loud sigh.

“You must be in love with me Y/N, if you’re that keen to take it all off for me,” he smirked once more.

Because you had had enough, you ran towards the bathroom, attempting to cover your chest as you went there. “I’m having a long shower, alone!” you exclaimed, before closing the door and locking it.

Dean just continued to lay in the bed, listening to the shower turn on as you hopped under the hot running water.

He just smiled to himself, thinking of the way you looked. How beautiful you looked.

It wasn’t the sex appeal of seeing you topless or in your underwear; it was seeing you, and all of you. You had been made completely vulnerable, with not really anywhere to hide. He could just experience the real you.

Dean thought back to the few moments ago when he was lying with you entangled across him. He could feel your warmth. He could feel your heart beating. He could feel your chest rise and fall with each breath. He could see when you formed a faint smile in your sleep, because you were dreaming of something good.

He reached over to your side of the bed, and picked your singlet up off the ground. Dean held it to his chest, still being able to smell you from it, and smiled.

How lucky it was that he booked a room with only one bed.

PART 1  /  PART 2  /  PART 3  /  PART 4  /  PART 5  /  PART 6  /  PART 7

You couldn’t believe you just gave Barry another chance. You swore to yourself you wouldn’t do it, that it was over. But there was something about him, something you didn’t know what it was, that made it impossible for you to say no. Maybe there were his eyes, those green sparkling eyes that never ceased to bright; maybe it was his smile, that one that never left his face, maybe it was just him. He was a nice guy, he was kind and smart. Probably the best guy you had ever liked.

And it scared you.

Actually, it was stupid. You had always been with “bad guys”. You just couldn’t help it and, most of times, they ended up hurting you. Somehow you deserved it, as Thea always told you. And for the first time, you liked a normal guy, a nice one, and you got scared. It made no sense. You wish you could talk to Thea about it, or at least someone, but you didn’t have many friends. You knew some people from college that you liked, but you didn’t get on that much with anyone just yet.

Luckily for you, the moment you got off the car once you get to the college, you knew who you could call: Felicity. She wouldn’t tell Oliver or Thea if you asked her not to. She could be trusted. So you leaned against your car, after checking you still had time, and dialed the hacker’s number.

“What do I own the honor?” Her voice said on the other side after the second tone. You smiled widely.

“I need some…boys advice” you told her.

“Do you think I’m the best for that?” She laughed.

“Probably not. But I don’t want Oliver or Thea to know about him and I know you won’t tell them” you explained.

“It is about that Barry that didn’t stop calling you?” She asked. She really was good. “I’m going to take your silence as a yes” she laughed. “What’s wrong?”

“I think I like him” you said. Saying it out loud to someone else actually felt good, it was like taking something off your shoulders.

“So…? I kinda put that together when you were here” Felicity replied.

“I’m scared” you shrugged as you looked down at your shoes. “He’s a good guy, really. For once, I’ve found a nice man who likes me back and I’m scared” you chuckled shaking your head. “Does it make sense?”

“Liking someone is always scary” she said. “Maybe it scares you the most because you don’t know how to handle a good boy” she added laughing a little.

“Maybe” you sighed. “I have a date with him tonight and I’m already nervous” you admitted.

“I know it’s probably the first advice in the book but just be yourself (Y/N).” She said. “It’s obvious, but that’s the best thing you can do. I don’t think there’s nothing you can do to shake off the nerves but being yourself with him is your best weapon”

“I guess…” you whispered. “But I’ve been myself the whole time and it hasn’t been working out that much” you told her as you remembered the two times he left you.

“Just give it another shot and if it still doesn’t work then, maybe, he’s not for you” she said.

You frowned and looked up. You hadn’t really thought about that. Maybe you just weren’t meant to be as more than friends.

“You’re right” you nodded. “I’ll give it another shot and we’ll see what happens I guess” you shrugged. “Thank you, Smoak” you smiled.

“Anytime. And don’t worry, I won’t tell your brother or your sister” she assured you.

“And thank you for that” you smiled even more. “I gotta go. Thank you again!” You repeated before hanging up the phone.

After that small talk you definitely felt much better so you took your bag from the car and headed straight to the building where you would be having your first class of the day.

“I can’t believe she agreed” Cisco said laughing.

After running into you, Barry had ran straight to STAR Labs. They still had to catch the Black Siren so he had called in sick at the CCPD so he could work with the team the whole day to catch the meta. Of course, the first thing he did when he got there, was telling Cisco about the encounter he had with you.

“That makes two of us” Barry smiled. “I’m just glad she did” he sighed.

“Just try and don’t screw it up again” Cisco told him.

“Wally will handle it tonight” Barry said. “I’ll talk to him and I’m sure it won’t be a problem” he added.

“Good idea” Cisco nodded. “What if Black Siren shows up?” He asked. Barry sighed looking at his friend.

“Let’s just hope she doesn’t” was all he could say with a shrug.

He knew the possibility was there and he wanted to trust Wally to handle it, but at the back of his mind he knew Iris’ brother was still learning and he didn’t want to leave him alone, even less facing a metahuman from another earth.

Later that day, Barry was a wreck of nerves. He knew this was his last chance to make it right to you and he really didn’t want to mess it up again. He had everything planned, he had made sure nobody interrupted him during your date and was ready to go and pick you up.

“You really should take a shower and change first” Iris said. They were all at STAR Labs and, of course, everyone knew about Barry’s date with you.

“What?” Barry asked, getting out of his thoughts.

“Shower, Barry. You smell” Iris laughed as she walked over to him. “Are you ok?”  She asked with smile.

“I’m nervous” he admitted with a sigh. “I don’t want to mess it up again” he added looking down at his best friend.

“You won’t” she reassured him. “We have everything covered here, I promise. Now go” she told him.

“Okay…just call me if anything comes up” he said before speeding out of the cortex.

“We won’t” Irish laughed.

They all had talked about it. It didn’t matter what happened that night, they wouldn’t call Barry. Wally could handle it by himself perfectly and they knew how important that night was for Barry.

Once again and one last time, you were making your way towards Jitters to meet up with Barry. You didn’t expect much since you didn’t want to get your hopes up once again for nothing. But somehow, a part of you told you this time was going to be different, that things were going to be alright.

When you turned the corner of Jitters, Barry was already waiting at the door. You checked the time on your phone thinking that maybe you were late but no, he was earlier than you were. Good sign. With a small smile, you approached him.

“Hey there runner” you said to catch his attention.

“What?” He frowned looking down at you.

“Easy tiger” you laughed. “It looked like you came running since you arrived even sooner than I did” you explained.

“Oh right” he chuckled nervously. “I got out of work early so…” he shrugged.

“I see” you smiled. “So where to this time?” You asked with your hands in the pockets of your leather jacket.

“Have you ever been at the Central City coast?” He smiled.

“Actually I haven’t” you smiled back. You loved the coast and you loved the beach so if he was taking you there, it was going to be a perfect date. “That’s where we are going?” You asked biting your lip.

“Sort of” he winked and grabbed your hand.

“Don’t play de mysterious now” you laughed, enjoying the feeling of his hand around yours.

“I’m not. It’s just a surprise” he told you.

Then, he stopped in front of a car, unlocked it and opened the passenger door for you. You got in and buckled yourself as you waited for him to get in the car.

“I didn’t know you had a car” you smiled.

“There are many things you don’t know about me” he said with a wink.

“True” you smiled. “And when will I know them?”

“As soon as you start asking” he shrugged.

“I like that” you laughed as he started the engine. “Where are we going?” You asked again in another attempt of finding out.

“Wait and see” he laughed. “Impatient” he added.

“You have no idea” you told him.

You didn’t stop looking out of the window, trying to figure out where he might be taking you but unfortunately, you didn’t know the city, therefore, you didn’t know the streets. So there was no way of telling where he was taking you.

“Are we leaving the city?” You asked with a frown.

“Yes, but we’re not going far” he replied, focused on the road.

That was the first time you turned to look at him since he started driving and you had to admit it was hot. You didn’t know why, but there had always been something about guys driving that drove you crazy. There was something really hot in seeing them with a hand on the wheel as they focused on the road. You just didn’t know what, but you couldn’t help staring.

“Take a photo. It will last longer” he smirked.

You blushed and looked away immediately. You couldn’t be more obvious right? With a low chuckle, you looked back out of the window at the city lights that were now further away than before.

“We’re almost there” he said after a few minutes of silence.

“Good” you said. “I hope you’re taking me to a super-secret restaurant in the middle of nowhere because I’m starving” you told him.

“Don’t worry” he smiled. “I brought food”

“Then you have my heart” you laughed.

“Do I?” He asked with a teasing smile.

“Wait and see” you mocked him, making him laugh.

After a few more minutes, he got off the road and started driving down a path.

“Are you going to murder me?” You joked.

“I don’t think we will take it that far” he joked back. You laughed and looked at him. You really liked how he always had a comeback for your sarcastic comments.

It didn’t take much longer before he stopped the car. There was absolutely nothing around you, which kind of confused you. Where had he taken you? When he got out of the car, you unbuckled the seatbelt and opened the door just when he was waiting for you to help you out.

“Where are we?” You asked. You couldn’t really see his face since it was so dark around you.

“Wait here, I’m going to take the food and some stuff we need. We’re going to have to walk a bit but not much” he informed you.

You nodded and watched his shadow walk to the back of the car. You heard how he opened the trunk and then closed it again before going back to you.

“Grab my hand and don’t let go” he said.

You did as he told you just before he started walking. You wish you knew where you were setting your feet but you had no idea. What if you stepped on a snake or something like that? Luckily, you didn’t have to walk too much.

“Here it is. You can look up” he said with a low chuckle.

You looked up at him but then looked around in awe. You were on a cliff from where you could see the whole city with all the lights on, along with the shore and the sea. It was beautiful! You felt Barry letting go of your hand but you didn’t even move since you were too shocked by the views.

“Earth to (Y/N)”, Barry said after a while, standing in front of you and blocking your amazing view.

“This is beautiful” you told him looking up.

“Yeah…” he smiled looking around as well. “I thought you said you were hungry” he said pointing to his side.

“Oh!” You exclaimed when you saw the bonfire he had started. “When did you do that?” You asked with a confused frown.

“When you were all E.T. there for a moment” he smiled.

“Shut up!” You laughed. “We don’t have these views in Star City” you shrugged.

“I know” he smiled taking your hand again and leading you to the bonfire. He had also put a blanket on the ground so you sat down with a sigh.

“Have you ever been to Star City?” You asked turning to look at him after you warmed up your hands.

“A couple of times to visit a friend” he nodded with a smile. “Which one do you prefer? Starling or Central?” He asked taking out a few sandwiches from the basket he had been carrying.

“Tough one” you smiled. “And it’s Star, by the way”

“I know, but I prefer Starling” he shrugged.

“Me too” you admitted with a nod. “And I don’t know… I grew up in Star City. It’s my home. But it hasn’t felt like home lately to be honest” you told him as you took the sandwich he offered. “It’s like Central City is warmer somehow but I don’t think I can chose” you finally said.

“Fair enough” he said with a nod.

“Have you always been here?” You asked and took a bite.

“Born and raised here” he nodded. “What about you? Have you ever lived somewhere else?” he asked.

“No” you shook your head. “My parents had their jobs there in Star City so they couldn’t leave and none of us really wanted to” you shrugged.

“You never talk about your family” he commented.

“There’s not much to say” you said quickly.

It wasn’t something you wanted to talk about. Your name was always linked to tragedy and you weren’t that far away from home. You were sure if you said who you were, Barry would know, he would know who Oliver is, what happened to your mother and to your father, and he would start asking questions you didn’t want to answer. You had done it for so many time already. So lying was easier.

“My parents died in a car accident” you told him. “I was 17 years old when it happened so it was me, my brother and my sister to take care of each other”

“I’m so sorry” he frowned.

“Thank you” you smiled a little. “I’m happy with them. They’re the best I have but it was time to move forward and staying in Star City wasn’t the way to do it so…here I am” you said looking at him. He smiled a little and wrapped an arm around you.

“I’m glad you decided to come here” he said smiling down at you.

“Me too” you agreed. He chuckled as he looked into your eyes as you looked into his.

Those damn eyes you could never ever forget from now own. You looked down at his mouth before looking away. You really wanted to kiss him but maybe it was too soon. You looked back at him just to see that he was still looking straight at you, making you nervous.

“There’s something I want to do” he said smiling a little. “That maybe will make you go away or will make you stay for a long time with me” he added looking down at your lips.

You could literally feel your heart pounding in your ears and you were thankful for the small amount if light that kept him from seeing your red cheeks.

“You should give it a try” you said, feeling your throat completely dry.

“You think so?” He asked with a small smile as he leaned in a bit closer. “Are you sure?”

“Stop teasing” you chuckled nervously.

“Oh I’m not teasing” he whispered. “I’m just making sure this is what you want” he smirked. Bastard. He was going to make you kiss him.

But he didn’t want you were a Queen and a Queen never backs away. So you narrowed your eyes at him and placed a hand on his cheek, breaking the distance between you two and kissing him slowly. His free hand went to your cheek as he moved the other one down to your hips, kissing you back immediately, still smiling against your lips. Slowly, he laid you down on the blanket, laying on the top of you as he deepened the kiss.

Both of you wanted to take it to the next level but you also knew it was too soon and it wasn’t the place. So he was the one breaking the kiss but didn’t get off you. He looked at you with a growing smile on his lips as you smiled back. Then, out of nowhere, you two just started laughing, filling the silent night with laughter.

TalesFromRetail: You can't void a sale!?!?!

Reading a couple of these stories reminds me of another experience I had with my great management at my retail job at that cheap shoe store (ahem).

It was within my first couple weeks of working there, and being 18 and never really working in a retail setting before, I had no prior experience of working at point of sale (ie, I didn’t know how to work the damn cash register computer). No one really let me use it, just kind of showed me things here and there while they used it.

One of these early days, I was in the store alone with my assistant manager. At one point she tells me, “I’m taking my lunch in the back, if something happens and you need me, come get me.”

And then I was alone. Which wasn’t a big deal, I thought, this is a dead-ass store and probably no one will even come in.

After a few minutes a customer come in– the obnoxious kind, that have no manners. She picks up multiple boxes of shoes, talks loudly on her phone, etc. She comes to the counter, and I think here it is, my chance to shine!

I begin ringing her out- I enter my employee ID, ring up the shoes, and as my finger is reaching for the “Total” button, customer holds a coupon out in my face: “I want to use this.”

I read the coupon, which looks like it’s been xeroxed from somewhere else, and see that the coupon has expired. I let her know and she tells me “then I don’t want this pair.”

Ooooook, I look around the cash register, trying to figure out what to do. I don’t see a “cancel item” button, and this customer is impatient (“It’s just one pair of shoes, I still want the rest of them…”). The only thing I could find in the moment was “Void Transaction.” Okay, great, I’ll just cancel it and start again. I check this woman out (correctly), hand her her receipt and she’s on her way.

Once the store was empty again, I walked to the back of the store (where my assistant manager was still sitting, reading a magazine at this point), and I decide to tell her: “Oh, by the way, a customer came in and changed her mind about a pair of shoes so I voided the transaction and started over. Is that okay?”

Instead of teaching me where the “cancel item” button was, which is what I thought was going to happen, she raged out: “NO YOU NEVER VOID A TRANSACTION THAT COULD GET US AUDITED WHY WOULD YOU DO THAT?!”

I felt so stupid and so small for the rest of my shift.

But audited? What?

Flower Girl and Star Boy

pairing: john laurens x reader!

word count: 2880

warnings: bad fluff, there might be a swear or two in there somewhere idk

summary: john laurens moves into the house next to your uncles and you grow up together, getting to know each other every sunday after church. he loves drawing, stars, and his turtle, Washington. you couldn’t help but become enamored with this boy; you just hope he feels the same way about you…

a/n: basically this was an idea that came to me after seeing all that wonderful fanart of John bein made of stars!!! i also hc john as a serious #artist for whatever reason, so that’s where that part of this came in. i hope this okay, it’s not really hamilton-related but it has ya boy in it!this is also probably bad, sorry - also sorry if something like this has been done before…

After church every Sunday, your family went to your uncle’s estate, where you then stayed until after it got dark to spend time with the relatives you wouldn’t see often otherwise. You didn’t really like it there – you felt so small and insignificant in a house full of adults and your older, taller siblings. But there was one thing you liked about it – in the backyard of your uncle’s house, there was a field of flowers of all different kinds, sprouting up from the soil. Every Sunday after dinner, before you left to go home, you would go into the back and admire the flora stretching out in front of you, a sea of scattered pastels and greens and whites.

Except one day, it was different.

The house to the right of your uncle’s had been on sale for as long as you could remember, which was surprising, because you didn’t understand how anyone could pass up this view. For whatever reason, no one was biting. However, you noticed two months ago that it had finally been bought, by a family your uncle said was ‘nice.’ You hadn’t seen anyone from the family yet, adults or otherwise, but on this early evening day in late May, there was a young boy, sitting in a lawn chair, sketchbook in his hand and a straw hat resting atop a mountain of curls. He looked around your age. Stepping tentatively through the grass, not to disturb any flowers, you walked over to him.

“Hi,” you said softly. “Are you one of the kids who just moved in here?”

The boy looked up at you, and the first thing you noticed was that he had the most beautiful collection of freckles spread across his rosy cheeks and nose. “Yeah,” he answered. “I’m John Laurens.”

When Hoseok first told you of his condition, you had laughed him off, pinning it down on the fact that he’s downed one too many shots and had an imagination that couldn’t compare. However, the sobriety in his voice, the plea in his eyes were enough for your laughter to die in your throat.

“You can’t be serious.” You blinked, a nervous chuckle slipping past your lips to hide your trembling fingers in front of you.

Hoseok’s eyes had dropped to your hand holding the cup, before his gaze flicked back up to you as he licked his lips. You froze in your seat and he realized at the same time what the action had implied. “I won’t hurt you.”

“I don’t know that.”

“I’ve been with you for a year now. You know I would never hurt you.”

“This is a joke.” You gulped, tightening your hold around the glass in your hand. “I’m going to wake up and a hangover will be the death of me and this will all be a nightmare.”

A flicker of hurt passed through his eyes. “I wish it was.”

Disclaimer: As always, the gifs are not mine and belong to their rightful owners!

Your day was spent with weak attempts at shaking the dream. The early morning shower to wash away the lingering feeling of hands spreading your thighs and dog teeth puncturing holes below your breasts with soapy hands and nails. Most of all, you tried to rid your body of the ecstasy it brought you every time you remembered it, leaving your fingers to delve between your folds and come underneath the spray of water from the showerhead.

Your reflection in the mirror all dark circles and heavy lids as you brushed your teeth mumbling curses against its bristles. You knew your friends were sure to mention it.

When you bent down to spit out the water downed paste, a scream left you launching you back from the sink. The face of the unknown man staring back at you, shirtless, with hands bracing himself against its edges.

Fluffy fluff <3

“Don’t be nervous,” V spoke in that calm way of his.

It was easy for him to say. He wasn’t the one about to be put on display for everyone to see. Months ago he had asked if you would be his sole subject for an upcoming gallery. It was his big comeback after getting the eye surgery, and the only thing he said he wanted to shoot-was you. How he talked you into this, you’ll never know. Well…you did know. It’s because he looked at you like you were the most beautiful thing in the world, and the way he talked had you believe it yourself for the first time. But staring at your reflection in the mirror now, thinking about all those people who had been anxiously waiting for his return and packed in to the space like sardines gawking at the photos, your stomach was doing flips. What if they didn’t like them? V hadn’t even let you see the pictures, he said he ‘wanted it to be a surprise.’ You were standing in front of the bathroom mirror taking deep breaths to calm yourself and fumbling with the stupid clip of your necklace.

V moved your hair to the side and took the clasp from your hands, kissing your neck softly after securing it. He rested his chin on your shoulder, wrapping his arms around your waist to hug you from behind. He smelled of his cologne.

     “Ready?” he hummed excitedly.

     “No,” you pouted.

“It’s going to be alright,” he chuckled, “have faith in me.”

Just as you expected, the space was packed. An uproarious applause incited by your arrival lasted for what seemed like an hour, and your cheeks were feeling hot. A few faces stuck out in the crowd of strangers. People you’d had dinners with or photographers friends of V’s. The room was buzzing and you were feeling sick.

“I need a glass of champagne,” you squeezed his hand.

“Alright, love. Wait right here, I’ll be back,” he replied before disappearing.

You had tried to avoid looking at the pictures but you supposed you had no choice now. The memory attached to each photo replayed in your mind while looking at them. That close up of your face. He had pulled the camera up and snapped that picture in the middle of a conversation, “your eyes are sparkling so brightly right now,” he’s said.

And that angled photograph on you among tall trees looking towards the sky. You’d both been out on a nature hike that day and you stopped to admire the sun shining through the leaves.

And the black and white portrait of you nude on the bed, body parts peeking out through the silk sheet. You almost choked. That was taken one night after you’d just finished having sex. He’d rolled out of the bed and reached for his camera.

“V, no…” you had put your hands over your face.

“Please…you’ve never looked more beautiful. I’d love to capture this for the gallery. The flush of your cheeks and your messy hair framing your face…you look sexy and elegant and confident. Please, would you let me?”

“Well…alright…but keep the compliments going,” you laughed.

You had forgotten about that one. Oh god, where was that champagne? Looking around you caught soundbites and snippets of conversation.

“This really is his best work yet.”

     “What a comeback!”

“These are really inspiring, I’ve already chosen the one I’d like to purchase.”

“This whole collection is so beautiful and raw, I’m in love!”

It was almost too much to take in. People were liking photos of…you? Buying photos of you? It was like being in the twilight zone. How many times had you cried in a dressing room when something didn’t fit right, or looked at yourself in the mirror after a shower with disgust? And now here you were, body on display for the world to see, and they were enamored with you? At some point in your trail of thoughts a smile had spread on your lips. Perhaps you hadn’t given V enough credit…

“That’s you, correct? You’re the girl in these?” a tall man had taken a spot next to you.

“Oh…um, yes. I am,” you nodded and blushed.

“These are excellent. I am particularly interested in this one here,” he gestured to a photo of you smiling with his cocktail, “what modeling agency are you with? I think I have a few opportunities for you. Would you like to go to dinner maybe, talk things over?” he took a confident sip of his drink.

“Careful, buddy. Don’t steal her away from me now,” V appeared with your champagne glass and handed it to you, chuckling and slipping his free hand around your waist.

“V! My apologies, I didn’t realize… Well, can’t blame me for trying, right?” he shrugged, “excuse me, then,” he took a few steps and mingled himself into another group.

“I’m sorry I took so long. Every step I was getting pulled in for a chat”

“It seems like everyone is raving about your work,” you noted before taking a much needed sip.

“Yes. But what do you think?” he replied in that serious tone, like he was nervous to even ask.

“I…I love it. I’m shocked, but I love it.”

“I can’t tell you how happy it makes me to hear you say that. I know you were hesitant at first. But, I wanted everyone-including you, to see just how beautiful you really are. To see you as I see you. Come on, let’s look at them all together,” he beamed.

It was a night of praises and cheers. It seemed everyone was pining over the photos and praising your looks. Every group had something wonderful to say. ‘You’re a lucky man, V’ ‘What a beautiful couple you two make’ ‘I’d take her photos, too’ ‘Will you be doing a second collection like this one?’

As the evening dwindled down you felt like floating. All of your fears and insecurities seemed so small and insignificant now as V held your hand and kissed your forehead in pure joy at the responses you both had received.

“V, all of the works have sold! I can’t believe it. What a night!,” the woman who ran the gallery was gushing. She might have even been a little buzzed off of champagne in celebration of the success.

“I’m glad to hear that,” he smiled.

“But there is a man who wants to talk to you. It’s about that photo, the one you didn’t want sold?”

“Oh? Alright then, where is he?”

She led you both to a large man in a thick black coat. He was holding a drink in his gloved hand, his eyes transfixed on that black and white portrait of you on the bed.

“Ah, the man of the hour!” he shook V’s hand, “now you can explain to me why this lady here says I can’t buy this piece.”

“I’m glad you like it,” he laughed, “but it’s just as she said. It’s not for sale. I wanted to add it to the gallery, but I’m afraid I can’t part with it.”

“I’m a determined man, V. I’ve been a fan of your work for a long time now. This photo is emotional and brilliant. This woman looks fierce but elegant. It’s truly captivating. I don’t like to take no for an answer. Now, if it’s a matter of money…”

V couldn’t help but smile and nod, all three of you were now gazing at the picture.

“Right you are,” V replied, “but I’m sorry. This one is just for me.”

You couldn’t believe that you were on your own; that your parents had agreed to let you go half way across the world to go to one of the best universities. Your veins were buzzing as you walked down the street, trying to find the house where your uncle lived (that really being the reason they let you go so far, because you had family there to watch you).

You weren’t really paying attention to the men and women, some finely dressed and others not, walking around the street, chatting and going about their normal day as you your letter close, trying to follow the directions scratched on the paper. You were walking down the road and reading at the same time (something your mother frequently warned you about doing) when you bumped into a man, his cigarette flying onto your favorite dress.

“Oh shoot.” You say, your hands flying to get it off before it burns a whole through the lace. The boys friend snickers but you don’t really notice.

“Oh shit, I’m so sorry. I didn’t see you there, it was my fault.”

“No worries, I probably should of been paying more attention.” You say, finally looking up into the cold eyes of the man.

You saw the color drain from Yugyeom’s face before you turned around, beginning to walk back towards the door that led to the stage. Your heart broke into pieces inside of your chest, each piece stabbing you from the inside out.

“(Y/N),” You heard Yugyeom call your name softly, but before he could say another word, you were out the stage door, slamming it behind you.

You knew that your instructor was right; that all the girls fawned over Yugyeom and wanted to date him, but you never thought anyone would attempt to kiss him. Maybe it wasn’t expecting anyone to kiss him— maybe you didn’t expect him to let them kiss him.

A/N: I hope this is what you were wanting when you requested it, anon. Thanks again for requesting!

“(Y/N) (L/N), I presume?” The principal, George Washington, peered down at you from over his desk.

“Yes, sir.” You gulped, his intense stare making you completely uncomfortable.

“Well then, welcome.” His once serious expression changed into a warm one. “We’re very glad to have you here. I will be having one of our top students show you around today. I hope that you enjoy your time here. Do not hesitate to come to me with any problems you have.” He smiled at you, calming your nerves at once.

“Thank you, sir. I really appreciate it.” You smiled back at him, feeling much more relaxed than you had when you first walked in the building. A short knock at the door, caught both yours and Washington’s attention.

“That must be her.” He got up from his desk to open the door to his office. There stood a young girl in a yellow dress. “(Y/N), this is Peggy Schuyler. She’ll be showing you around the school today. Peggy, this is (Y/N) (L/N).”

“Come on, (Y/N)! You’re going to love it here!” Peggy exclaimed, grabbing your hand and pulling you out the door.

“Please, don’t get them into any trouble, Peggy.” Washington sighed, watching the two of you leave.

“I’ll try, G-wash!” Peggy smirked at him before pulling you full force, to the foyer of the school. “Welcome to the best school you will ever attend!”

“Are you sure about that?” You asked, glancing nervously at the enormous amount of people you have never talked to before.

“You’ll love it, trust me. The people here are great…at least most of them.” Peggy reassured you, pulling you through the crowd.

“Where are we going?” You asked, feeling completely lost.

“I’m going to introduce you to my sisters. You can’t survive high school without a couple of good friends, can you?” Peggy smiled.

“I guess not.” You smiled back. First day at a new school and you had already found a group that wanted to be friends with you. This was like a dream come true.

You approached two very pretty girls. One wearing a blue dress and the other was wearing an orange dress. They were talking to a group of four energetic boys that were basically bouncing off the walls. Peggy looked back at you with a thumbs up before finally reaching them.

“Everyone, I would like you to meet (Y/N)!” Peggy announced proudly, presenting you like a prize on a gameshow. “(Y/N), these are my sisters Angelica and Eliza. And these are our friends Alexander, John, Hercules, and Lafayette.” They each waved at you when Peggy introduced them.

“Hi, nice to meet you guys.” You said, looking down at your hands.

“And it’s wonderful to meet you too!” Eliza said warmly.

“This is their first day here and Gwash wants me to show them around. I like them already, so I vote let’s keep them!” Peggy wrapped her arms around you tightly. “I mean, look at them. They’re like an adorable lost puppy!”

“I second the vote!” John yelled, followed by many more shouts of agreement. A bell rang through the school, and slowly all the students began to leave for their classes.

“I got to get (Y/N) to class, but we’ll see you guys at lunch!” Peggy said, the two of you waving to the group as you left.

The classes leading up to lunch, followed the exact same routine. The teacher making you stand in front of the class and introduce yourself as the new student. It was exhausting and completely annoying.

Luckily there was one upside, you were able to find something that caught your eye. Or more like someone. He had big puffy hair and a magenta sweatshirt on. He had been in all of your classes. Every time you had been sent up to the front to introduce yourself, his eyes never strayed from you. Even when his friends would try to make a comment to him, he would just brush them off.

As the bell signaling lunch rang, you silently hoped that Peggy would introduce you to him. Sadly, instead of doing that, Peggy walked quickly past him with a look of disgust. There was obviously something you didn’t know about him.

“Hey Peggy. Who was that guy in the magenta shirt that’s been in all of our classes?” You asked.

“His name’s Thomas Jefferson, and he is the worst person you will ever meet! He’s a bully to everyone. Just because he’s a senior and is a high honor roll student, he thinks he can just push everyone around. Trust me (Y/N), you don’t want to get involved with Thomas Rex.” She shuddered at the thought.

“Thomas Rex?” You asked, giggling slightly at the strange nickname.

“Yeah, Alexander came up with it because just like a T-Rex, he destroys everything in his path.” Peggy said, her cold tone making your giggling cease.

“Good to know.” You said, feeling much sadder than you should have been. You didn’t even know the guy. Why were you sad about this?

“I just remembered, I need to go talk to my English teacher. The lunchroom is just at the end of this hall. Will you be fine walking there by yourself?” Peggy asked, looking behind her anxiously where the classroom most likely was.

“I’ll be fine, Pegs.” You smiled at her, despite the fact that you were freaking out inside.

“Okay, sweet! Everyone will probably be sitting at the table in the back right corner. You won’t be able to miss it!” Peggy quickly turned around and almost sprinted to her english classroom.

You took a deep breathe in before continuing your walk to the lunchroom. You didn’t know why, but it completely terrified you having to make this walk alone. You felt so vulnerable and small in the almost empty hallways.

“What did you say? You do know I could beat you to a pulp right?” A voice growled not too far from you.

You gulped, slowly approaching the voice. You could hear grunts of pain and the low chuckles of two people. When you turned the corner, you saw Thomas Jefferson and someone else standing over a freshman’s shaking body. Looking at the small boy  filled you with adrenaline.

“Excuse me, what do you think you’re doing?” You called, quickly approaching the group of boys.

“Well, hello there.” Thomas looked at you and smirked, quickly forgetting the crying boy behind him.

“That didn’t answer my question.” You said, walking past Thomas and approaching the small boy.

“It’s nothing that concerns your pretty mind.” Thomas watched you crouch down next to the boy.

“Are you okay?” You asked the boy softly. “Why’d you do this?” You glared at Thomas, helping the boy slowly rise to his feet.

“I told you, it doesn’t concern you. Look beautiful, I know you’re new here, so I’ll excuse this little mix up if you let me finish what I started.” Thomas said.

“Can you walk to the nurse’s office by yourself?” You asked the boy, who quickly nodded. As he left, you turned back to face Thomas. “You are terrible! What you think you’re all that because you’re a senior? Guess what buddy? Nobody even cares! That gives you no excuse to be a jerk to people for no reason!” You fumed, Thomas’ face began to drop from it’s usual smirk.

“I-” He tried to explain himself, only to be quickly cut off by you.

“I don’t want to hear your excuse! The worst part of this all is that I was really excited to talk to you. You’re stupidly cute, but you turn out to be a complete asshole!” You almost yelled, not even realizing what you had said until you saw Thomas have an amused smile on his face.

“Stupidly cute, eh?” He raised an eyebrow at you.

“Forget I said that. Because in the end, you being a bully and thinking you’re better than everyone else makes you completely unattractive.” You said, trying to hide the blush on your cheeks.

“You’re blushing, sweetheart.” He smirked as you silently cursed your bright face. “If I wasn’t a bully, would you go out with me?” His smirk faded completely.

“Yes, I would.” You said honestly, his face lighting up with a small smile. Without knowing it the two of you had gotten closer and closer, now only inches away from each other’s faces.

“(Y/N)!” Peggy sprinted down the hallway, a look of horror on her face. “Don’t touch her!” She screamed.

“Um, this may be my cue to go.” Thomas said, rubbing the back of his neck awkwardly. “But I’ll keep in mind what you said about bullying.” Thomas turned and walked away quickly towards the friend that had been with him earlier.

“Yeah! You better run, Thomas Rex!” Peggy snarled, grabbing your hand firmly in hers. “Are you okay? Did he hurt you?”

“No, everything was fine. We had a slightly pleasant conversation. I think I may have convinced him to stop bullying.” You said calmly, while Peggy on the other hand looked ready to slap someone.

“Don’t get your hopes up. Thomas, wouldn’t change for anyone. I know he’s dreamy, but he’s a lying snake.” Peggy growled, leading you to the lunch room.

Her words swirled in your brain. He wouldn’t change for anyone. He wasn’t going to change for you.

The following week passed quickly. You still saw Thomas daily, but your newly acquired friends wouldn’t let him come anywhere near you. Peggy had told them of your encounter with him and they all had become extremely protective of you. And the thing to increase their protectiveness was, that the day after you talked to him he had become kind.

No kids had been bullied since and he was kind to almost everyone. That didn’t mean he had gotten rid of his massive ego, but still he seemed a changed man and you were to thank. Just the thought of it gave Alexander a stress ulcer.

It was lunch break on Friday, when you finally got a moment away from your group of friends. You loved them, but their protectiveness had almost made you go insane. You had to stop yourself from punching Hercules in the face a couple times. If Thomas even glanced at you, Hercules would try to go and beat him up. It was getting completely out of hand.

“Hello again, lovely.” A deep voice said from behind you. You spun around to be inches away from Thomas’s face.

“H-Hi.” You stuttered, the close proximity making you extremely nervous.

“I don’t know if you noticed, but I have stopped being a bully…Not completely, but baby steps, ya know?” Thomas smiled at you.

“Trust me, I noticed.” You smiled back, only making his brighter.

“Am I allowed to date you now? I mean, if I’m still stupidly cute and all.” He smirked slightly as your face flushed.

“I guess, that could be okay. As long as you don’t go back to being a jerk.” You said, his face getting closer to yours as you spoke.

“Am I allowed to kiss you?” You could feel his warm breath on your cheeks.

“I don’t think I’d be able to say no.” You said softly, bringing your lips softly to his.

You don’t know why, but this kiss was unlike any you had ever had. His lips molded perfectly to yours. He put his hands on your waist, pulling your bodies closer together. You placed your hands on his chest, clutching his signature maroon sweatshirt. Getting lost in the moment, you didn’t hear the approaching footsteps and whispers.

“(Y/N)?” Angelica yelled, terror laced in her voice.

You pulled away to see your whole group of friends standing there in shock and horror. Thomas still held you closely to his chest, neither of you making a move to step away from your close embrace.

“I like him. Can I keep him?” You asked quietly, imitating the way Peggy had introduced you earlier in the week.

“But-” Alexander tried, glaring at Thomas.

“Please? He’s been good. He’s stopped bullying people and he’s not going to do it again.” You pleaded, showing them your best puppy dog eyes.

“(Y/N), it’s only been a week.” Lafayette protested.

“But Laffy Taffy…” You pouted, seeing his hard expression crack.

“Fine, you can keep him. But if he messes up at all, he has to deal with us.” Eliza said, her voice venomous.

“Yes ma’am!” You smiled, watching them turn around and walk back to the lunchroom.

“So, you get to keep me?” Thomas asked, chuckling at the phrase.

“Oh, shut up.” You groaned, before pulling him in for another memorable kiss like before.
