okay so this got out of hand but anyway

Am I the only one that doesn’t care at all that Mon El said that he loved Kara before Sanvers have said it? Like the relationship between Kara and Mon El is messy and lacks development, so I’m not surprised that he said that he loved her so quickly. In all honesty he may not even truly love her, she’s just the first person he’s truly been attached to and not a hook up, which he was doing on Daxam.

BUT Sanvers has been developed and I’m just waiting for that special moment that they actually say it. Not some type of “I’m saying this cause I don’t want to lose you bullshit,” but they say it cause it’s true. Cause they truly can’t live without one another and love each other, ride or die. When they do say it, it will be impactful and not easily forgotten like Mon El’s confession.

I never talked about this enough, but I think sorachi deserves more appreciation for the way he treats females in his manga. I know that it is a basic thing everyone should do, but barely anyone does. In his manga, sorachi respects females. They are projected in a realistic way. As strong, independent and smart beings. Unlike other managaka who only follow fan service or present women as these disturbingly weak creatures who can not stand up on their own without the help of their ultimate saviors, males. Sorachi in countless arcs shows how strong the females he created are.

Honestly, I think it’s something to be proud of that amongst all the false ways females are projected, someone is portraying what’s right. In a very beautiful way. He never fails to show females in a strong picture no matter how old they are or what they’ve been through. So whether it’s the problematic yato child

the perverted ninja

the rotten elite

the scarred moon (my stripper name)

the old hags and everyone’s fave robot (I can’t come up with names anymore)

or mutsu. just mutsu

The gintama ladies are here to kick some ass.

Man, Attack On Titan’s character and thematic writing really is underrated.

I see almost nothing picking the characters apart (outside my bubble of Tumblr, at least), when to me it’s the most interesting part of the story.

I don’t think the horror would work if the characters didn’t have these human reactions. If everyone were a badass like Levi you wouldn’t believe in their threat. It’s really the tragedy element of a character’s human flaws and desires getting the best of them.

Eren’s mother’s death is so effective because she is so human. Because she isn’t a infallible source of hope. She’s just another human being who breaks when her family is taken away. If that weren’t there, I don’t think the scene would be nearly as powerful.

Imagine if Gelgar didn’t really have the drinking problem?

If the Levi squad never admitted their mistake?

If Ymir had no motivation of living for herself or Historia her predicament of having given a false name?

If Mikasa didn’t have everyone she loves constantly taken away?

If Eren and Armin didn’t have their shared dream of freedom or putting an end and giving a meaning to all the deaths that happen?

The characters all have human desires, but within a cruel and unfeeling world.

The world is unfair and our characters fight so it no longer would be unfair, this is why I think I care, at least.

Would you really care if these characters weren’t shown to be feeling these things? It’s not that the Titans are this overwhelming threat that makes this story effective, it’s that they turn a blind eye to feelings. The Titans could be no matter what size or shape, but their threat wouldn’t be real if it didn’t mean anything to the characters and thus the audience. We hate the Titans because they make the world unfair and cold (just as we hate Marley because they make the world unfair and cold).

The idea that rational badass who does nothing wrong = good character is such an annoying thing for AoT for this reason and would absolutely ruin the series.

Voltron as shit my friends and I have said:

Shiro: “I wanna die, but also go outside.”

Hunk: “And I, someone who hates minions, am going to be there crying.”

Lance: “My dinner was popsicles and chocolate milk. Every four-year-old’s dream.”

Pidge: “I coded three AIs in four days, then yelled at my microwave for being inefficient and loud.”

Keith: “Do you guys think this alien sticker makes me look too desperate to be abducted?”

Update:

Allura: “I just wanted to ooh and aah, so I asked a provocative question.”

Coran: “If I had a nickel for every time I didn’t say something I thought you guys would find ridiculous, I would still be poor as shit cause I say it anyway.”

Produce 101 Scandals

I’m so sick of seeing the trainees being bashed for simple mistakes. Some trainees didn’t even do anything wrong but still get bashed because some people hate on everything unless their fave is doing well and even then they still do it.

Scandals started even before the first episode aired, Maroo Entertainment’s Han Jongyeon got shit on for his past actions. I honestly didn’t have a problem with him leaving the competition because he deserved consequences for what he did, but what we forget sometimes is that it’s not our place to judge or say anything on the matter. Whether he did something or not we don’t know the full story so why stick your nose in a place where it doesn’t belong. I’m not saying you can’t have an opinion but don’t “take matters I to your own hands” and hate on a trainee when all the information you know came out of an allkpop article. It is not your business, you aren’t involved in anyway, so why are you over there making a fool out of yourself by cussing out a trainee that might never see your comments.

Kang Daniel got shit on for his actions, I understand that he did make a terrible decision and should have thought it through but it’s a simple mistake. He apologized and got dealt with by the Produce 101 staff so why do you think that your two cents are needed? The kid gets hated on and will continue to get hated on regardless of what he chooses to do because of a simple mistake. Get off your high horse, realize that you too have made mistakes and leave him alone. What do you get out of hating on a 22 year old that is just trying to make his dreams come true? at the end of the day he’s doing something with his life and you’re sitting at home using foul language because you lack the intelligence to voice your opinion in a civilized manner.

Lee Daehwi, better known as “the kid that did absolutely nothing to you”. What did he do exactly? “He’s arrogant” acknowledging your skills and having your best be enough to be one of the best is arrogance? He got hated on for being the center because apparently you can be an absolute mess on stage and be worshipped as long as you’re handsome. Beauty is subjective so I’m not going to fight you on your opinion, even if I’m my eyes Daehwi has a cute lil face that is idol worthy, but you know to each their own. The hate that he gets got so bad that he felt that he couldn’t be disappointed for being ranked lower than he had hoped for, it got so bad that he didn’t volunteer to be center for playing with fire, it got so bad that he felt that he had to say “I know I’m ugly but please vote for me” during his “it’s meringue time” video. Daehwi is beyond talented, I do believe that he is a force to be reckoned with and so do you because if you didn’t you wouldn’t bash him to make your faves look better.

Im Youngmin has to be the most heartbreaking for me. How would you feel if you got hated on because you were with someone you love? I don’t expect you to think about that why would you? You’ve proven that you’re about as selfish and petty as it can get, so why would you put yourself in somebody else’s place? All of those comments scolding him for dating someone are completely unnecessary, frustrating, and well stupid. It’s not his or his girlfriend’s fault that you feel entitled to a 22 year old just because he’s on the path of becoming a public figure. Princess he’s not yours to do with as you please, he’s not here to do as you say, he’s human and him and every idol out there should be treated as such. Idols, soon to be idols, and/or trainees do not give up their humanity when they decide on this lifestyle. YOU DO NOT GET TO TELL THEM WHAT TO DO. YOU DO NOT GET TO DESTROY THEIR FRIENDSHIPS OR RELATIONSHIPS BECAUSE YOU ARE DELUSIONAL. But you do, you do it anyways, you hurt the people you say you love because you are a spoiled brat that can’t handle not getting what they want. I hope Youngmin and his girlfriend get through this and live happily ever after just to spite you all. I hope that they shove their relationship down your throat so we can see you foaming at the mouth in the corner, but that’s the thing. You see you don’t really care, it’s all temporary. One day you love this celebrity and say that you’ll be in love forever and the next you find somebody new to obsess over (god help them). For you it’s temporary, for them it’s there forever, that situation is a part of their life. Maybe you ruined a relationship that meant the world to them, maybe you ruined their chances of being successful, maybe you damaged their mental health. You’re not paying for your actions, they are, but you don’t care. If your fave isn’t in love with you then he can’t be in love with anybody? Please rethink your psychotic mentality and stop being a waste of oxygen for the rest of us.

I’m so sick and tired of trainees/idols being bashed for nothing. They deserve to be happy just like you and me. You say you love them, how about you stop saying it and start showing it?

i can’t believe my team leader is a meme: the new series on mtv

It’s like, over the last year and a bit, some Harries have forgotten that Niall KNOWS Harry. It’s like, in their vain attempt to pretend like 1D was never a thing, they’ve forgotten that it very much was and that not only did Niall live through it and in it, HARRY did too.

It’s like they’ve forgotten that Niall and Harry spent nearly every day for five years together – living with each other, travelling with each other, knowing each other. And now, whenever Niall says something about 1D – or *gasp* about Harry – they act like Niall doesn’t even know him. They act like Niall is just some random, like he’s an outsider who doesn’t know what he’s talking about.

And you know what? Maybe he doesn’t. Maybe 1D will actually never get back together, ever – and maybe he is talking complete shit. But how do THEY know that? (They don’t.)

How do they know that all four of them didn’t come to an agreement to revisit talking about it when they decided on the hiatus? How do they know that Niall and Harry (and Louis and Liam) never talked about how wild and crazy it was to have been in 1D and how success like that will probably never happen for them again? (Hence his latest comment. Psst, don’t hate him because he speaks the truth.)

These boys spent FIVE YEARS together, riding out their successfulness together – and here Harries are, acting like they know the boys have never talked about it? Acting like Niall’s just talking to hear himself talk? (And so what if he were? Why does it matter to them if they’re oh-so confident?)

Acting like Niall is some sort of evil mastermind who’s only purpose in life now is to bring Harry down by talking about 1D? LMAO. Come on. (But, hey- Maybe they’re right. Maybe Niall’s little leather bound book isn’t for his songs at all… Maybe it’s actually for plotting to ruin Harry’s career. Step One: This Town. Step Two: Slow Hands. Step Three: Works domination. [That would make quite the fic, y'all.])

Anyway, @ these Harries, here’s a tidbit of advice:

Niall is not the outsider here. YOU are. Stop acting like you know Harry better than anyone else, especially Niall. Because, as Niall has said, people may think that they know them, but he actually does. (And, yes, that includes Harry.)

you: killuas love for gon is unrequited

me, an intellectual: that’s where you’re wrong. killua loves gon, that’s for sure. killua loves him so much he’d do anything to save him and when he realizes he can’t be with him all the time and save him every single time gon gets himself in trouble, he has a mental breakdown. but that’s only killua. gon loves killua too. in the zoldyck family arc, gon goes through a series of inconveniences, just to save killua from his own abusive family. would he go through that trouble for someone he didn’t care about? no. during the gi arc, gon even says MULTIPLE times how killua is his best friend, and he cherishes their time spent together. and at the end of the chimera ant arc when gon is bashing pitous goddamn face in, he speaks to killua after his arm gets cut off. he says “it doesn’t hurt,” as if reassuring that he was okay and not to worry about him. what I see in this scene is gon assuredly screwing up, but also taking into account killuas concern. would he even bother to tell killua that if he didn’t care at all about him? the answer is again, no. gon then proceeds to use jajanken one last time, looking over at killua with tears in his eyes, so say once again that killua has an unrequited love I could go all night

“When I take something from a man - his ship, his money, his life - I don’t hide behind a clerk. I don’t hide behind the law. I don’t hide behind anything. I look him in his eye and I give him every chance to deny me. That is legitimate.”

Fuck cishets my haircut is cute as hell

We were good together, weren’t we?
Yes.

1036. Lily and James' first time was in the Room of Requirement. They didn't mean to spend the night there and didn't even know the room existed until then- it just happened. When they came back to the dorm they found banners that said "it’s about bloody time" and all their friends clapping. Sirius even came and shook their hands. Lily didn't know where to bury herself but James enjoyed every second. He felt like he just won but not at Quidditch- he won something much more important, Lily.
