Creepy smile is creepy. Anyway, I wasn’t able to stick to the request fully but I did my best. Also, in my defence, I like the plot that I gave to Loki as a result. I feel it helps to stick to his character. If anything this is more like a Steve x Reader with Loki being heavily invested also. Plus, STEPHEN STRANGE CAMEO. Hope you all enjoy!

Prompt[s]: Could you write something where the reader is quiet and smart and quite nerdy and Loki slowly starts falling for her. And he has to like work hard to get her because reader isn’t just a push over who instantly has a crush on him when she meets him.

‘Unpredictable’

Iron Man soared through the sky.
“Where are we on those scans?” He asked, awaiting your response.

The headset Tony’d given you was thin and uncomfortable. You adjusted the way it sat on your head and pulled the microphone closer to your mouth. The screen in his lab flickered irritatingly.
“Sorry Mr Stark, but if you want things to move faster, I need better stuff.”
You wanted to bring in your own equipment,” Stark sniffed.

Steve slipped into the base of the building, quiet and unseen, checking the area before speaking.
“Because you wouldn’t let her put that – what do you call it? Software? – Yeah, her software on one of your machines.” Tony sniffed.
“I’m not about to let her install things on my machine until I find out what they can do.”

Title: Hello Again
Character: Danny Rand
A/n: Like I said, I love Danny’s character, he’s such a dork and deserves more love.

Also this’ll have a second part as the request was for them to meet and then end up together as well, so this one will focus on the reunion.

You whistled quietly under your breath as you kicked the door of your shop closed with your foot, your hands preoccupied with a few boxes of books that had just been shipped in. You placed them aside so you could remove your coat and begin opening the shop for the day.

You had several employees and a few assistants your siblings sent over to help with all the hassle, but you liked tonhave total control over the details of your work. So the bulk ended up on you.

Not that you minded, you always preferred to have something to keep yourself busy. Besides, it’s never that much of a sacrifice if you love doing it.

You continued to whistle as you started tearing into the boxes, going through the piles of books and separating them by their respective genres.

Once that was taken care of, you began shelfing them, taking them all by large bulks and putting them where they belonged.

Whenever you had enough put away you decided it was best to unlock the front doors and turn on the lights, people usually began coming in at this time and you didn’t want to keep them.

“Mornin’ (Y/n)!” You turned around to see one of the older girls who worked the morning shifts.

You smiled at her and motioned her over to you. “Good morning,” You greeted as you grabbed one of the last piles of books. “Do me a favor and but these in the back room, they’re for the history section. I can take care of the other pile.”

“I’m on it.” She said, taking them from you and disappearing into the shop.

You sighed and finally took the last set of books that were to be taken the front shelves.

What you didn’t see was that a young, scraggly looking man stopped right infront of the shop window, his hands peering inside and glued to you as he watched you move about.

A sudden knocking noise on the glass caused you to drop the books onto the ground. You looked over to the source of the sound and saw that same man looking at you with a wide smile as he waved frantically.

You titled your head as you looked at his face, you hadn’t seen him in the shop before but something about his smile made him look familiar.

You smiled back at him as you returned his wave, then making a gesture for him to come inside.

Crouching to the ground to gather the books, you found yourself laughing at how scared you were by a simple knock on the window.

•~•

Danny couldn’t believe it, after several failed attempts at talking to the other Meachum siblings he managed to see you walking around inside a bookshop.

Sure it took him a minute to recognize you. The last time he saw you was when you were children, you’re the youngest Meachum child, so you would have been nine when his plane crashed.

But for a brief moment Danny saw your eyes and there was no mistaking who you were.

Then memories of you and him playing imaginary games on his room, and being a much better monopoly player than your brother. He was very fond of you as a child, and from the looks of it not much had changed.

Still, he was surprised with how wealthy your family was, you were dressed in simple clothes, jeans and a loose-fitted blouse weren’t really good business attire.

Without any better way to catch your attention, Danny found himself knocking on the shop window.

He flinched a little when you dropped a thick stack of books, but it was soon forgotten when you returned his smile and pointed to the door.

His heart stopped.

Did you really remember him?

You certainly didn’t need to tell him twice, Danny was inside the shop in seconds.

He was greeted with a large room completely drowned by books, tall shelves lined the walls as well as several tables scattered on the ground. String lights hung from the ceiling and along a banister that lead to a second floor.

“I’ll be with you a moment.” He heard a voice call, and turned to see you climbing up on a tall ladder to a higher shelf.

“No worries.” He said, watching you descend from the ladder before you walked over to him with a smile.

“Hello, is there anything I can help you with?” You asked him while you started to pull your hair back in a bun at the nape of your neck.

Despite the fleeting feelings of disappointment that you didn’t remember him. He could help but stare at you.

The last time he saw you, you had chubby cheeks and glasses that were far too big for your face and would constantly slip down your nose.

But now you were a young woman, with the same pretty eyes and friendly smile.

You were taller, but now Danny still managed to tower above you.

“Sort of,” He started, now becoming very of aware of how disheveled his appearance was. “Look this is going to sound absolutely mental but it’s me, Danny Rand.”

Your smiled dropped just a tad, and you folded your arms. “I’m sorry?”

“Don’t you remember, Danny Rand?” He said as he reached out to you, only for you to retreat. “Oh come on, we used to be partners in crime and always try to get your brother in trouble.”

Your eyes clamped shut as painful memories that you spent a long time repressing came flooding back. “Listen, I don’t known what joke you’re trying to pull but I don’t find it funny.”

Danny wanted to pull at his hair in frustration, why couldn’t people just hear him out?

“I’m not trying to be funny,” He said, reading the hurt expression in your eyes, he stared to think back on things only the two of you would know. “You have to believe me, Cricket.”

Your eyes snapped to meet his, your expression softening a great deal as he said that nickname.

Not even your siblings knew that Danny called you by that, it was a secret code name between the two of you.

You stepped closer to the man, your gaze narrowing as you got a proper look at him. He held your gaze and you noticed he had the same blue eyes.

Without warning, you grabbed into his hand. “Come with me.” You ordered, dragging him into the nearest supply closet you could find.

You flicked on the lightswitch and started to hold onto your head. Even with your eyes closed you knew Danny was about to speak so you hushed him before he got the chance.

“Be quiet,” You inhaled deeply before opening your eyes to meet his. “If you’re really who you say you are, tell me why Danny gave me that nickname.”

Part of you hoped he was lying, that he was some raving lunatic who was just trying to get a rise out you.

But the more you looked at the man in front of you, the more you saw of his mannerisms and expressions, you saw Danny.

You were young when his family plane crashed in the Himalayas, but you still remember the boy who would give you piggy back rides and do stupid puzzles with you.

“You had this book when you were really little, maybe three or four years old,” Danny started, his brows furrowing in the center as he recalled the memories. “It was by Eric Carle, uh, ‘The Very Quiet Cricket’ right?”

He didn’t even need to clarify if you believed him because before he could even speak you tackled him into a hug.

“It is you!” You said, your arms were wrapped around his neck as you pulled him to you.

Danny could’ve cried right then and there.

Finally, someone believed him.

He pulled you in close as well, his nose burrowing itself into the crook of your neck. “It’s me, it’s Danny.”

You pulled back from him as your hands cradled his face. “Hi!”

Danny laughed, leaning into your hold. “Hello.”

“God, I was such a bitch to you before, I’m so sorry, if I had known-” You were saying all of the incredibly fast, and Danny had to cut you off before you talked yourself into a frenzy.

“It’s fine, you believe me and that’s what matters.” He assured you.

“Look at you,” You said, your hands running through his messy beard and his curly hair. “You look so…different now.”

He was about to reply when he remembered where you both were standing. “Aren’t we gonna get in trouble for being in here?”

“What? No, I own this bookshop,” You told him, shutting off the light. “But you’re right, we can go back to my place.”

“Wait what?”

•~•

You let your workers know you were taking the day off, then you drove Danny back to your house.

“I still can’t believe, after all this time,” You said over your shoulder as you entered your front door, throwing your coat onto the rack before disappearing into one of the rooms.

Danny took the opportunity to look around, it was exactly the kind of place he could picture you living. Just like your shop, there were books everywhere, and you had several paintings and decorations hung up on the walls.

You used to always complain about how empty your family house was, for a wealthy family the decor was always a ‘minimalistic nightmare of black and silver’ in your own words.

But your place felt like a home, with bright colors and knickknacks as far as the eye could see.

“Have you spoken to Joy and Ward yet?” You asked him once you sat him down in your living room with a hot mug of tea.

“That’s a funny story,” Danny said as he took a drink from the mug. “They’re not really interested in seeing me right now.”

You sat down in the chair across him. “Why not?”

“They don’t think I’m who I say I am,” He said as he set the tea down and looked at you with a warm smile. “You’re the first person actually.”

“Really?”

“Though I had a feeling if I found you, you’d understand,” He said, leaning his chin in his hand. “You and I understood each other.”

You smiled through your tea mug. “I remember, all those times we’d play hide and seek in the house, I could always find you.”

“I always let you find me,” He corrected, watching you laugh with the same crooked smile you had when you were little. “Look at you now, all grown up.”

The two of you shared a comfortable silence for a few minutes before you spoke up again. “I have to ask though, what are you doing here?”

Danny leaned back in his chair. “I’ve come to get my life back, and you’re the only one who can help me.”

Imagine meeting your son. (Part D)

A/N: Part 5D 😊 “I want a baby now,” says the girl who always said she didn’t want kids. Look what you did, Chris. You can read the related mini-series and the previous parts here: (Mini-series: ‘Perfect’ - Masterlist; Mini-series Spin-off: ‘Fated’ - Masterlist; Chapter 7: ‘Baby Steps’: Part 1/Part 2/Part 3A/3B/Part 4A/4B/4C/4D/Part 5A/5B/5C)

After giving you some time with Jack, the nurses took him to the nursery. There were tests, vaccines, and paperwork to be given and completed, and you also needed your rest. They made sure to tie ID bands around yours and Chris’ wrists, as well as Jack’s ankle before they left with him so your son wouldn’t get lost amongst the other babies- which was an irrational fear of yours. You were sure you could pull your special little guy out from the rest of the ordinary crop, but it didn’t hurt to have a little extra precaution. Surprisingly, Chris stayed with you instead of going with Jack. He sent the grandparents instead, stating “I could use some alone time with my wife.” You appreciated the sweet notion, but you told him you were just going to take a nap and that he was more than welcome to go see Jack. But he shook his head, kissing the back of your hand. “I’m going to be here when you wake up,” he assured you as you drifted off to sleep.

And he was, Chris was still by your side when you woke after forty minutes of undisturbed sleep. It didn’t seem like a lot, but it did wonders for your sanity. “I’m surprised you’re still here,” you smiled at Chris when you saw him smile at you.

“Why’s that?” He asked, rubbing his right eye with the side of his index finger.

“I just thought you’d be with Jack.” You said and glanced at the clock; it was 6:46PM, concluding a long, long twenty-four hours for the both of you. Since yesterday at exactly 6:46PM, you’d been suffering from what you’d thought were Braxton Hicks. You didn’t sleep well, which meant Chris didn’t either. So it was understandable he was now as exhausted as you were, probably needing his own forty minutes of undisturbed sleep. “You waited almost thirty-nine years for him, I figured now that he’s here- you’d be glued to his side.”

“I’m kind of already glued to your side, the girl I waited almost thirty-six years for.” He said and you smiled when he took your hand in his. “I told you, you’re my priority. Nothing, not even Jack’s arrival is going to change that.” He squeezed your hand and you squeezed back. “It’s you and me against the world, kid.”

“Will you stop calling me ‘kid’ now that I have my own kid?”

“No chance, kid,” he winked and you chuckled softly, shaking your head.

“Knock knock,” a familiar voice interrupted the moment you and Chris were having, bringing both your gazes to the door. You both smiled when you saw Robert enter the room with a bouquet of hydrangeas and a teddy bear dressed like Captain America that you couldn’t see because it was hidden behind his back. “Sorry to disturb. I couldn’t help myself after getting Chris’ text, I gotta meet the newest addition to the Marvel family.”

“No, not at all. We’re very happy to see you,” you told him and he smiled, walking over. “The Winter Soldier and his missus might be a little sore knowing you met their godson before them,” you joked, knowing that was exactly what Robert was going to do, “so let’s not boast about it on the group chat.”

“Got it,” Robert winked, making you and Chris laugh as he passed Chris the bouquet; Chris placed the bouquet on your bedside table. “These are from Susan, she sends her regards. She would’ve loved to come along to meet your child, but she’s caught up with our own.”

“Don’t even worry about it, honestly I didn’t even expect you to drive all the way out here,” Chris told him then laughed at Robert’s expression of disbelief. Of course he was going to drive out to meet Chris Evans’ son, he would’ve taken a plane from the other side of the world to meet Jack. “We’ll come down with Jack one day and we can have dinner together.”

“That sounds good,” Robert nodded. “Anyway, this-” he moved the teddy bear out from behind his back, waving at the both of you with the hand of the bear. You and Chris laughed because that was the last gift you expected from Iron Man himself. “This is from me. I wanted to get an Iron Man one,” he explained as if he could read your minds, “but Susan said no.”

“That’s ‘cause Susan knows I would’ve burned that at the stake,” Chris joked.

“You’re just upset ‘cause you know Jack is going to be on Team Iron Man,” Robert smirked.

“Over my dead body, Stark,” Chris quipped, laughing when Robert did; you rolled your eyes. “Seriously. Thanks for coming, man.” Chris rose to his feet and took the bear Robert held out, then shared a hug with him. “We really appreciate it.” You nodded, smiling at Robert. “Jack’s in the nursery at the moment, you can meet him in a bit.”

Chris sat back down after pulling a chair over for Robert. “We’re all so happy for the both of you, “ Robert said as he sat down, “this is amazing. You’re a dad,” he slapped Chris’ shoulder with a wide grin; Chris mirrored the same grin, chuckling softly. “Finally, man. You must be ecstatic.”

“Ecstatic, yeah, but also nervous.” He admitted then winced when he looked up at you. “Sorry, baby. I know I’m meant to be the rock here, but I am nervous.” He told you and a soft snicker escaped your nostrils because you already knew that. “You’re a dad of many,” he turned back to Robert, “have got any advice for me?”

“Just be yourself,” Robert replied with a shrug. “Don’t try to be the perfect parent because they don’t exist. Just be yourself,” he repeated in a more assertive tone. “Don’t be afraid to make mistakes because that’s how you learn. Every kid is different, there is no handbook. The main idea is to love them and raise them to make good choices and be a decent human being. It’s just- it’s something you just gotta work at it. It’s a lot of try and try again, and taking each day as it comes. You have to believe that things will work out in the end, and it will, trust me.”

“That’s the best you got?” Chris laughed.

“What do you want me to say, Evans?” Robert quizzed, smiling. “Parenthood- it’s both the easiest and the toughest job on the planet. I can’t tell you how to be a dad to Jack, that’s something you’ve got to work out on your own.” Robert told him and Chris managed a small smile, reaching for your hand because you always provided him comfort. “Just relax, Dorito. You’re made for this. And come on, that kid is equal parts you and Y/N,” he smiled at you and you smiled back, “whatever the two of you do or don’t do, he’s going to turn out great anyway.”

“Thank you, that is so sweet,” you cooed, pouting as your eyes welled with tears.

“Just stating facts here,” Robert smiled, reaching for your joined hands to give it a light pat.

Chris drew his hand back and turned to the door when he heard his mom’s voice. He smiled when he realized the grandparents had returned with Jack; your mom was wheeling him in his little baby cot. “Look who’s here,” he glanced at you and tapped Robert’s arm. You smiled, feeling a spark of excitement that ignited a want to hold your little boy. “Is everything okay with him?” He asked your mom as he carefully lifted Jack from his cot, cradling him in his arms. “Hey pal,” he gently rocked Jack, walking over to Robert.

“Everything’s perfect, the two of you should be able to go home tomorrow morning.” Your mom told Chris, then looked over and smiled at you. “I’m proud of you, baby,” she mouthed and you wiped the tears from your eyes, smiling. “Hey Robert, it’s nice of you to join the party.”

“I had to meet the next Captain America,” Robert gently rubbed Jack’s belly with the pads of his fingers, smiling. “Little one, you have no idea how long your dad has waited for you.” He told Jack as Chris passed him over. “He’s beautiful, you guys.” He smiled at both you and Chris before turning back to Jack. “You are going to be so loved by your mom and dad, and all your aunties and uncles at Marvel. So loved,” he asserted, pressing a gentle kiss on Jack’s forehead.

Chris rejoined your side, sitting on the edge of your bed this time. He wrapped an arm around you as you leaned into him, watching Robert interact with Jack. Jack, your son. It still blew your mind that you were a parent now. Were you ready for this? Was Chris? Of course he was, he was a natural with kids. But were you? Were you-

You were thrown off your train of thought when Jack started to cry, your heart both ached and started to beat rapidly against your chest. Your son was crying and Robert was bringing him over to the two of you. Could you even soothe him? What if he didn’t stop crying at your touch? Would that make you a bad mom?

“I think he wants his mom,” Robert told you, transferring Jack into your arms. Chris helped as you took him, your eyes slightly narrowed with stress and anxiety. “Well, look at that. I was right,” Robert commented when Jack stopped crying at your touch, nestling himself in your comfort. “And you said you weren’t a natural,” Robert teased you.

Your facials softened and you let out a breathless chuckle, smiling at Chris before looking back down at your son. Chris smiled and kissed the side of your head, whispering into your ear before he drew back, “looks like Jack is going to be just like his dad, a big ol’ mama’s boy.”

Epilogue

~

It was Coulson’s idea to head to the diner, but Jemma would have probably made the suggestion had he not. A hot meal seemed like the biggest luxury after everything they’d been through as a team, and even if they were being tracked down and would likely be taken into custody within a few hours at the most, a small escape like this sounded like the best thing for them at the moment.

The team was relatively quiet on the drive over with everyone still mulling over Daisy’s speech about Fitz, as well as exhaustion weighing heavily on their shoulders. Jemma sat between Fitz and Daisy in the back row of the van with Fitz noticeably leaning into the side of the vehicle. While Mack drove, Jemma could sense a friendly energy between him and Elena up front, which made her smile contently. She was happy to see them already healing after their time in the Framework, but a small part of her wished it could be that easy for her and Fitz. But she knew that wasn’t the case.

The look they shared a few minutes ago when they promised Fitz they were in this together as a team was all that consumed Jemma’s mind, and she hoped it meant there was still something between the two of them. But they had yet to share any words with each other since they departed, and she was getting antsy not knowing where they stood.

No matter how hard she tried to convince Fitz it wasn’t actually him doing all those…things in the Framework, she knew some part of him would never believe it. And she didn’t know what it was like to now have two sets of memories, to feel like she’d lived two separate lives as two different people. But she did know that what they shared in this world was real and that it mattered and still matters. So starting now, no matter where they were headed next, she planned to do everything in her power to convince him of that. It wasn’t the end of the road for her, so she hoped she could convince him to feel the same.

Before she could change her mind, she turned her head to the side and found him staring out the window nearly in a daze.

“Fitz?” she asked at a half whisper.

“Hmm?” he replied without looking her way.

She hesitated for a moment, still thinking over the idea as if it were this extraordinary request. But then she shook her head slightly and deemed herself ridiculous. It was simple, and even if he said no, it wasn’t the end of the world.

She leaned in a little to his side so she could speak even softer. “Can I hold your hand?”

He didn’t respond immediately, which didn’t surprise her. She knew he was still processing the last twenty-four hours or so, and she didn’t want to push him in any way that he wasn’t comfortable. But it still made her heart sink knowing the simple gesture of holding her hand required him to think before responding.

It used to be second nature between the two of them once the team was comfortably aware of their relationship. They weren’t too keen on public displays of affection, but handholding was almost sacred. Because it reminded them that the other person was there even if they were in the middle of a crisis. That even if it felt like the world was crumbling around them, and their end was likely near, they were okay for that moment.

Without even a glance from Fitz, Jemma was about to give up and turn her head to face forward. But a few moments later, he looked down from the window and uncrossed his arms from his chest before gently placing his arm against hers, his palm facing up. Jemma let out a soft sigh of relief before slowly intertwining their fingers.

Even though she had held his hand only hours ago when they had shared a painful moment together in the containment pod, silently telling him she would be by his side through this next step of their lives, this moment felt completely different. It felt familiar and effortless, and his warm hand complimented her cold one to reach a balance only the two of them could achieve. As she began to slowly move her thumb across his, he finally looked up to find her eyes. She didn’t know what to expect, but the sight of his content and even hopeful expression gave her some much-needed comfort. She knew he wasn’t okay, that they weren’t okay, but they were trying. And that was enough for now.

Once the van came to a stop outside the diner, Jemma let go of Fitz’s hand and hovered by the door waiting for him after she got out of the vehicle. She didn’t want to pressure him – she assumed he allowed them to hold hands due to the privacy of the dark back row of the van with only Daisy able to witness this small yet significant progression between the two of them. But once he got out himself and came to her side, it only took him a few seconds before he extended his hand out again for her to take. She smiled softly as she intertwined their fingers once again, and then led him forward as they followed the rest of the group into the diner.

With the bar empty, the team took their seats, Fitz picking the one on the far end next to Jemma. As he sat down heavily onto the bar stool, the waitress behind the counter moved forward with her notepad.

“Well, you look like you could use a pot of coffee,” she said, gesturing towards Fitz.

Jemma smiled sweetly at the woman and then at Fitz. She was happy to see him smiling as well, a particular light returning to his eyes.

After giving him a quick wink, she turned back to the waitress. “Two cups of tea would be lovely.”

You stood in the teleport room as the guards put your small amount of luggage on the transporter pads.

“The USS Farragut to the USS Enterprise. This is Lieutenant Greene, come in Enterprise.” You heard Greene say through the intercom.

“The USS Enterprise to the USS Farragut. This is Mr Scott, we are ready to transport your transfer on your signal.” The comm went silent and you turned to you Captain.

“You will be missed Y/Sn.” She nodded her head slightly.

“It had been an honour to serve in the ship Ma'am and I will regretfully leave to a different start. I appreciate all of my years on this vessel.” You smiled and she smirked.

“We’ll all miss you Y/n. You’re a key member of our Med Team but I understand that this is a more promising opportunity for you.” She took your hand. “All the luck in the world I give to you.” She whispered.

“Thank you Ma'am. For I fear I may need it.” You squeezed her hand before stepping on the transporter. The rings of light soon circling you until you couldn’t see your smiling Captain anymore. You saw a new crew and Jim Kirk in front of you. Stepping off the pad you stood up straight in front of Jim.

“Captain.” You nodded your head slightly.

“Lieutenant Y/n. We’re happy to have you on board. Please follow me to your quarters. Your luggage will be transported soon.” Jim turned and you followed him closely.

Your heart still beating too fast to be healthy. So nervous that you’d see Bones around the corner.

Say ‘I do’

You and Kai get married (based on ‘Perfect’ by Ed Sheeran)

I found a love for me
Darling, just dive right in and follow my lead
Well, I found a girl, beautiful and sweet
Oh, I never knew you were someone waiting for me

The day you were waiting for was finally here. You were getting married to Kai, the love of your life. You and Kai met when he came to Mystic Falls, more accurately when he got out of prison world. Even when you found out about his past, when he told you his story, you didn’t judge him. You understood why he became the person he was and right then you were there for him. You immediately felt a connection and a year and a half later, you were getting married to him. On the day you were getting married to Kai, you were really nervous, words couldn’t explain how much, but the main feeling that was in your body was how much love there is in your heart. Love for Kai only.

You woke up in the morning and the first thing you saw was your wedding dress, hanging, waiting to be put on. It was beautiful and it looked exactly how you wanted. Simple yet mesmerizing that fitted your body perfectly. A smile appeared on your face when you saw the dress, knowing the moment you’ve been waiting for was coming closer. You got up and walked towards the doors, but there you saw a white envelope that said ‘From Kai’. You smiled when you saw who sent it and opened it, curious what Kai had to say.

Well I found a woman, stronger than anyone I know
She shares my dreams, I hope that someday I’ll share her home

'I can’t wait to see you and make you mine today. I just wanted to tell you that I love you and that I will be the luckiest man alive when we say I do.’

You put it neatly inside the evelope and put it down on your bed, taking a look at your wedding dress again.

Even though you had a bunch of stuff to do, Kai was always on your mind. Just the thought of him made you smile. Despite when people say it’s bad luck if the groom sees the bride before the wedding, you wanted to see Kai more than anything and tell him you love him. Of course, your friends didn’t let you which you kinda hated, but you knew when the moment comes, your eyes would be on him only.

An hour before the sunset, it was time to get dressed. Time to put on the dress you waited to put on for such a long time. When you looked at yourself in the mirror, tears formed in your eyes, happiness taking over your body. You quickly blinked the tears away and took a deep breath, because it definitely wasn’t the right time to cry. You went downstairs, only to find your dad waiting for you, his face warming up when he saw you. You caught his hand gently, his eyes looking at you.

'You look beautiful.’ He trailed off, tears trying to fall down as you took a deep breath and tried to calm down. Suddenly your breathing was starting to get faster and your heart was beating rapidly. You were scared, even the thought of not walking down the aisle popped in your head but you quickly shook it off even though you were still shaking. You heard the music playing as you knew it was time. You swallowed hard and caught your dad’s arm tighter. You walked through the alluringly decorated doors as you stepped on the path made out of white flowers, the path that led directly to Kai. You kept looking down, trying to calm down your breathing, focusing on walking and stepping carefully, preventing yourself from falling as you walked around the corner and stopped there for a second. You looked up and there you saw Kai standing in a black suit. He looked absolutely perfect and right at that moment when you saw him, all your worries went away.

When I saw you in that dress, looking so beautiful
I don’t deserve this, darling, you look perfect tonight

You couldn’t hide a smile that was showing on your face as you slowly walked towards the altar. Your dad kissed your cheek and smiled at you as he placed your hand in Kai’s. You couldn’t keep your eyes of him. This really was happening, you thought to yourself and took a deep breath.

'You look amazing’ Kai whispered to you and gave you a gentle kiss on your cheek, making you smile.

'Dearly beloved, we are gathered here today to witness the union of these two wonderful people in holy matrimony. If any one can show just cause why they may not be joined together, let them speak now or forever hold their peace. I believe you’ve written your own wovs.’

I found a love, to carry more than just my secrets
To carry love, to carry children of our own
We are still kids, but we’re so in love
Fighting against all odds

'Malachai Parker. You’re the best person I know. You’re always there for me, through all the tough times we’ve been through, you’re still here. I will always believe in you and even though your jokes are sometimes, out of control, I will always be happy to hear them. You mean the world to me and I can live in peace when I know I have you by my side, for the rest of our lives. I love you, Kai Parker.’ You trailed off as Kai smiled at you and took a deep breath before he began.

I know we’ll be alright this time
Darling, just hold my hand
Be my girl, I’ll be your man
I see my future in your eyes

'There are no words in this world that would explain my love for you. I remember the first time I met you, I was mesmerized my you. By your smile, I thought to myself: how can someone be so perfect. You took my breath away and you still do. Even though we’ve been together for a year and a half, I still get nervous when I kiss you. I keep falling in love with you all over again and I’ll keep falling in love with you, no matter what. You’re the light in my life, the strenght that keeps me going, my support. You’re my everything and nothing can change that. You stood by my side through thick and thin, through all our crazy adventures, you even learnt to accept my passion for food.’ You laughed as a single tear streamed down your cheek, your hands resting in Kai’s. 'I love you with all my heart and soul and I need you to know that. You’re my rock and my life would be nothing if there wasn’t for you. I love you.’ Kai said as his eyes were strongly focused on you, your eye color intensifying because of all the tears you had in your eyes. He wiped them away with his thumb, your cheek pressing slightly against his palm, getting a feel of his touch.

'I now pronounce you husband and wife. You may kiss the bride.’ Kai cupped your face and pulled you closer as he kissed your lips gently, all the worry and fear that was in your body disappeared. Everything felt perfect. It was much more perfect than you expected. The kiss was gentle, a bit different from any other kiss you had with Kai. It felt like it lasted forever, like there was no one around, like everyone disappeared but you and Kai.
When Kai broke the kiss, he wrapped his arm around your waist and pulled you as close to his body as he could, letting everyone know you were his only.

'You’re finally mine.’ Kai whispered for only you to hear. You smiled at him and whispered a simple 'yes’ which made him smile and kiss you again, for the second time as a married couple. You walked down the aisle, everyone clapping and cheering.

The room where you went after the ceremony was something else. It looked like a place from a fairytale. Flowers were everywhere, even on the wall, the lightning had a special dim, making it look really romantic. The cake was huge and delicious. Chocolate, which both you and Kai adored more than anything.

'Before I met you I- I was a mess, unable to control myself, but with you, I feel like me again. If there wasn’t for you, I don’t know where I’d end up and that’s just one of the reasons why I love you. I know I’ve said this countless times but, you’re my rock and if we have to start somewhere, then, let’s start with forever. I love you.’ He raised his glass, everyone else following him. You couldn’t hide the same on your face or your watery eyes. Everything he said made your heart melt and love him even more, if that was even possible.

Baby, I’m dancing in the dark with you between my arms
Barefoot on the grass, listening to our favorite song
When you said you looked a mess, I whispered underneath my breath
But you heard it, darling, you look perfect tonight

'Are you happy?’ Kai said, his voice gentle. His arms were wrapped around you as you danced on the dance floor to a slow song, your hands placed on his strong biceps.

'More than you could ever imagine.’ You replied and placed your head on Kai’s chest, listening to his heartbeat. You looked up at him again, only to find his eyes staring deeply into yours.

'Me too. I never thought I would be this lucky and marry the best girl in the whole world. You’re the best and you deserve the best, so-’ he picked you up and spun you around once before placing you down again. 'I want to show you the world. Only you. Have you in my arms every night while we watch stars through the window at some crazy expensive house in Maldives or something.’ You laughed at his comment, his hand reaching out as he placed a small lock of hair behind your ear.

'I don’t need expensive stuff. As long as I am with you, I will always be happy. You are all I need and if you are there, we can spend time at some lake house outside the town, I don’t mind. You are what I wanna see.’

'Always so humble.’

'It’s one of those things you love about me.’

'That’s true, but you know I love everything about you.’ He replied and kissed your forehead gently, his arms strongly wrapped around your body. He looked at you for a few moments without saying a word before he finally spoke up.

'You look beautiful. I can’t stop looking at you because of how perfect you look and I still can’t believe you’re mine.’ Kai trailed off as you smiled at him. He always made you blush when he said those kind of things, but you loved that about him. It only showed you how much he appreciates you and how much he loves you.

'Ready?’ Kai asked, as you said your last goodbyes to your guests, a car waiting for you and Kai. It was time to hop on the plane and travel to wherever Kai was taking you for your honeymoon. He didn’t want to say anything because he loved surprising you so you knew this would be just as perfect as all the other surprises.

'Ready.’ You muttered as Kai kissed your cheek and put all the suitcases in the car, ready to leave. Everyone was waving at you and Kai as Kai opened the doors for you. For some reason you were nervous, but it was a good kind of nervous. You didn’t know how long the flight was going to be only because Kai wouldn’t tell you, but you knew when the moment of arriving comes and when you settle down in a hotel room, Kai was going to take care of you like he never did before, only this time it would be as husband and wife which only brought a big smile on your face, still hard to believe you married Kai. The best man that is out there and he was all yours. You got to call him yours and you knew life with him would be perfect, just like it was before.

I have faith in what I see
Now I know I have met an angel in person
And she looks perfect, I don’t deserve this
You look perfect tonight

Dog Sitter; Chapter 2

The next several hours were a blur. A weird blur.

I was introduced to Mr. Holland and found out where Tom got his jawline from.

Harrison took a selfie and realized he had stickers on his face; since the middle of our last flight.

I called to talk to my mom for a few minutes letting her know I was there. Most of the call was her asking me about the boys we saw and me trying to answer her without seeing super obvious that I was talking about them.

Then Mrs. Frost kept asking about the flight and gushing over the fact that she has her son and honorary daughter home.

And Tom didn’t talk.

I watched him scroll through Instagram, glance at me, and then would scroll through again.

Why was he acting so strange? We had just spend the last half day with each other and now this?

When he got to Mrs. Frost’s home is was even more strange.

As soon we get got there I was greeted by Harry, Sam, and Patrick who they call Paddy.

And Tessa.

“Ohh, Tess, Darling!” Tom gushes, finally showing some emotion as he kneels on his lawn, taking her into his arms.

Tessa is a blue Staffy with a short silvery grey coat.

As soon as she squirms from Tom’s arms she wiggles toward Harrison and Harry and Paddy and Mr. Holland and then finally to me.

Her nose is twitching toward the sky as she steps closer to me.

I glance between her brown eyes and Tom’s and he smiling.

“Yeh, go on girl.” Paddy’s small voice comes from beside his eldest brother.

And finally the anxiety began to ease. Because now there’s a dog. And that’s what I’m good at.

“Hey there, cutie!” I kneel on one knee and reach into the side pocket of my backpack to pull out a small brown treat in the shape of a heart.

Tessa’s ears immediately perk up and her timid eyes become excited. She sniffs rapidly at my finger tips, my palm, and then in one single slurp she laps up the single treat, crunching it twice before swallowing.

“What a good girl!” I sit on my knees now and ruffle her ears like I would ruffle the hair of a child.

“I knew she’d love you.” Mrs. Frost smiles as she leans against Mr. Holland who has a bright white smile across his face.

“Boys,” she addresses the two youngest, “will you please make sure Tom’s room is tidy?”

The boys nod and the younger skips to the front door.

“I’m sure you’re exhausted, Angie.”

“I’m tired too, Mum.” Tom pouts and I can tell they he’s only partly joking.

“Yes, you too my darling.” She steps toward Tom and takes his arm. “Now if you’d show Angie to your room. Your father and I have made some changes-“

“To my room?” Tom asks, now being turned toward the front door by his mother.

Tessa is still next to me, watching me closely and I give her another treat.

Once inside I’m almost surprised at how homey everything is since I’m thousand of miles away from my own home.

“Angie, please make yourself at home. I will give you the grand tour after you’ve rested. Dominic has prepared dinner and we will be eating soon, but please,” she steps closer to me and takes my hands, Tom’s smile spreading across her face, “if you just want to sleep, we understand.”

I take in a deep breath, about to say ‘Oh no, that’s okay’, but then I feel the ache in my back and the heaviness in my eyes.

Before I could respond Mrs. Frost squeezes my hands. “I’m just so happy you’re here!” She has my hands and pulls me into a comforting hug and I start to feel my eyes sting.

I look up and can see Tom watching with a soft smile before looking away.

Mrs. Frost loosens her grip and when I come away from the hug I see her eyes just as shiney as mine.

We laugh and she wipes her right eye.

“Son, will you show her to her room?”

I look toward Tom and he stiffens up. “Yeh, let’s bring your…” his voice trails off as he spins looking for my suitcase that was behind him.

“Just let me know if you need anything.” Mrs. Frost smiles and then leaves for her other sons who start to tell her about something interesting, but then I’m alone with Tom.

He smiles quietly and we both can feel how awkward this is.

I follow him into what I assume was his room based on what Mrs. Frost has said and once I enter the door I’m sure it is.

The floor is a light beige carpet, the walls are white. One wall is just a bookcase from carpet to ceiling filled with different sizes and colors of books. A guitar in one corner and a computer desk with a black rolling chair. A large window letting in so much natural light and two twin beds on either side of the room.

I’m snapped out of my daze when Tom drops my suitcase onto the red bed.

“So this is your, well, our room.” He rubs the back of his neck and steps back, his calves meeting the blue bed.

I step forward as I slowly slip my backpack off of my shoulder and next to my suitcase. I glance over my shoulder before sitting down and see that the door is only slightly open.

I take a deep breath and look up at Tom.

“So… you gotta admit, this is fucking weird.”

He immediately laughs and sighs.

“Bloody bizarre.” His shoulders relax.

“Can we just, get it all out?”

His head tilts slightly.

“Like, full transparency.”

He nods once, “Ahhh. Yes. That’s probably best.”

“So…”

We are quiet a few seconds. Both sat on a twin bed now only a few feet apart.

“So…” he copies my tone.

“So you’re Spider-Man…”

He’s quiet a few more seconds. “Yeh.” He smiles and rubs he knees. “And you’re the girl my Mum’s been talking to for months about taking care of Tessa.”

“Yep.” I rub my knees the same way and nod while sucking my lips in.

“And you honestly didn’t know who I was the entire time?”

I laugh. “No clue. My mom and I saw you and Harrison leave behind that crowd in California… I mean I felt like you were familiar… but-“

“Does your Mum know?”

I laugh again. “Yeah.” I scoot back slightly on the bed and sit cross legged. “But if you’re Spider-Man, is Harrison…”

“Just my best mate.” He smiles and holds his hands in his lap. “Same as I told ya on our last flight.”

“This is insane.” I shake my head and look at the floor.

“I mean- I’m just a normal guy,” he holds his hand to his chest. “I might know people that a lot of people know, but I’m also a son, and a brother… just normal.”

His voice is somehow softer and he’s right. He is just… normal. If it hadn’t been for the airport crowds he would’ve been like any other guy. He’s got an accent and he’s pretty cute, but nothing too special.

“Yeah, me too.” I nod making him laugh. “I’ve been in a couple movies too, ya know?”

“Movies, eh?”

“Yeah.” I let one leg fall as I shift on the bed slightly. “There’s one about this little girl. She’s real smart, but kind of clumsy, and she gets this ruby red tricycle for Christmas…”

I am obviously describing a random home video I’ve seen hundreds of times, but Tom is smirking and nodding, playing along.

“So she is trying this bike for the first time, but plot twist!” I raise my hands making Tom jump, “she’s too scared and actually never uses it or learns how to ride any bike for the rest of her life!”

“You don’t know how to ride a bike?” He raises an eyebrow.

“Nope.” I chuckle, but he’s quiet.

“Well, it looks like we’ll be roomies until… well until my next gig. I’ll give you some privacy.” He stands and almost bows making me smile, but then he’s gone and the door is closed.

“What the hell is happening.” I lay onto my back and stare at the ceiling for a minute before sitting up again. As much as I’ve enjoyed talking to him, I am so wiped.

For the next hour or so I unpack some of my stuff, find the bathroom that is fixed between my door and another which for now I’ll guess is the room of one of Tom’s brothers, and wash up some.

Just as I’m putting some of my things out on the counter I hear laughter.

I peek my head out of the bathroom door and look across the cozy home.

“Awe, come on!” A voice shouts, maybe Sam.

“Try again!”

That was definitely Tom.

I put some things back in my room and slip on my shoes before walking toward the back yard.

“Just remember, you’ve got to tuck your head in. Like this.”

I close the sliding glass door and see a large backyard with Tom, Paddy, and Harrison standing on a large blue mat that takes up most of the space.

“Hey, Angela!” Harrison waves which distracts Tom and just the right moment, causing his front flip to come up short.

He goes up and then flat on his back and Harrison and Paddy immediately burst into laughter.

“Oh- oh my gosh, are you okay?”

Tom is coughing and gets on his hands and knees.

“He’s fine.” Harrison smiles and smacks his back.

I slip my shoes off, since the boys are in their socks on the mat, and I step up to join them.

“Fuck off.” Tom laughs through a couple more coughs and then he stands.

I can’t help but smile at their antics and I see Tom’s cheeks flush pink for a second before he turns away to try again, and this time he is successful.

“I’ll never get it.” Paddy is quiet a moment.

“You’ll get it, Pads.” He ruffles Paddy’s curls before glancing at me. “Do you want to try, Angela?”

“Me?”

“Yeh!” He laughs.

“Like, try to front flip?” My stomach feels like it’s already upside-down.

“Yeh, come here.” He gestures for me to come closer.

I look at Paddy and Harrison and they’re both smiling and watching me.

“So the first step is tumbling. So you’ll just get on your knees, tuck in your head, and push!”

And I watch him roll forward.

I take a deep breath and kneel. “Don’t laugh at me.” I say, putting my palms on the blue mat.

“I would never.” He smiles, holding back a laugh already.

I do as he said. I tuck in my head and push. The first time not enough and the second time probably too hard because I tumble but land pretty hard on my back.

I hear laughing from all three of them. When I open my eyes Tom is standing above me and extending his hand.

“You said you wouldn’t lauuuugh.” I groan and roll onto my stomach.

Tom’s hands are suddenly at my waist and he helps me to stand.

“Let’s just get step one down, yeh?”

Who couldn’t resist that smile.

For the next hour or so Tom and I take turns tumbling and each time I feel like I’m smacking on my back.

Harrison and Paddy try a couple tricks themselves across the yard and occasionally Harry and Sam come into the backyard to talk to them.

“Tommm, don’t make me flop again.” I’m on my back, panting.

“You can do it, Angie. Come on. Up up.” He takes my hand and helps me to my feet.

If I was tired before this, but I feel like I could sleep on this mat, right here and now.

“If you just touch your chin to your chest, I promise you’ll get it.”

“You promise?”

He takes my hand and smiles, but then immediately drops it.

“Let’s try once more and then we’ll rest for the night.”

“Who knew… I move to England to take care of a dog and now I’m the one learning the tricks.”

Tom laughs and does his tumble, as easy as ever.

I kneel, my hands on the mat just as it has been the at least hundred times I’ve tried.

“Touch your chin to your chest.”

I do. And I push.

And I land.

“Fuck, yeah! You did it! Angie did it!” He shouts toward where Paddy and Harrison were only to see the rest of the yard was now empty.

I stand and feel tired, but accomplished.

“Thanks for teaching me, Tom… but I am so tired.”

“Oh! Yeah! Of course-“

He quickly steps down from the blue pad and extends his hand, helping me down.

“Th- thanks.” I take my hand away and hold them behind my back.

“You two still out here?” Mrs. Frost pokes her head out of the back door.

“Yeh, Mum. We’re coming.”

Tom follows me inside and it’s quiet.

“You two outlasted even Paddy!”

“Everyone’s asleep?” I ask, still walking toward my… our room.

“Yeh.” Tom smiles. “My family likes to be up early.”

“I hope that’s okay.” Mrs. Frost says from behind me.

“Yeah! Yeah, of course. I mean my sleep schedule is weird right now anyway, so I’ll be able to adapt to whatever you need.”

“Then I’ll see you bright and early.” She smiles and extends her arms.

We hug and my eyes sting again, remember my own mom and how far away she is.

“Goodnight, son.” She then hugs him and kisses his cheek.

“Night, Mum.” He smiles and she leaves.

He extends his arm signaling for me to take the lead.

I walk into our room and flop face first into my bed.

“Me too.” He says.

Over the next hour we take turns in the bathroom; showering, changing, brushing our teeth.

When I’m finished I bring my things back into my room and toss them on my suitcase to be tended to later.

Tom is already under the blue blanket. It’s only up to his waist and he’s on his phone.

I get into my bed and do the same, just a small lamp between us keeping everything visible.

“Is it weird being famous?”

I can hear Tom turn toward me, but I keep my gaze at the ceiling.

“Well. Weird no. But overwhelming sometimes. Yes.”

“Do you have like… a secret Instagram that only your close friends and family have?”

He chuckles. “Yeh.”

“Can I have it?” Still looking at the ceiling.

“I mean, sure.”

“In the morning though…” I wave my hand in the air.

It’s quiet again.

He laughs a little and turns off the lamp.

It’s quiet again, this time for a bit longer.

“Does it suck being in public?”

It’s quiet a moment and then he answers, sounding tired now.

“Sometimes. Sometimes it feels like people forget I get tired too. But I love seeing fans and meeting people. Just sometimes I’m fucking tired.”

I don’t say anything. I’m almost asleep.

“Angela?”

After a moment I answer, “Mhh?”

“Thanks for being so… kind. It’s not often I meet somebody new and enjoy it so much.”

I’m almost asleep, but I smile.

“I’m happy that even if we weren’t on the same flight that we would’ve met anyway.”

I can barely hear him now.

“I hope you like it here.”

It’s so muffled I can barely make out his words.

And then I’m asleep.

And then I’m back home.

Mom is on the porch and there’s such a nice breeze coming through the doors.

“Mom!” I shout and burst into tears.

It’s only been a day, but I feel like it’s been years.

“Mom!” I shout again.

She doesn’t move.

“Mom!!” I yell louder.

Nothing. She sits on a dark wicker chair and looks out over the city.

I take a step closer, and closer, and closer, and I’m not moving. I’m not moving when I step and step and step.

“Mom!”

Then each time I step I feel like I’m walking through mud, but I’m sliding backward and back and back until-

“Mom!” I shout as I sit up, this time actually shouting into the dark silent room.

I’m panting and realize my eyes are wet as Tom turns on the light.

His blanket is already off of him exposing his white t-shirt and black shorts.

“What’s wrong, Angie??”

I can’t talk. I’m panting and my mouth is dry.

He jumps from his bed and leaves the room, but is back quickly with a glass of water. He sits at the foot of my bed and I gladly take the water, coughing slightly as I drink most of it.

Breathing between sips helps calm my breathing and he takes the cup back when he realizes I’m done.

He’s quiet, just watching me as I’m still sobbing.

After a few minutes I’m sniffling and I finally start to breath normally.

“Angela. You alright?”

I look up at him and he’s blurry through my tears. I nod, but still do not say anything.

He moves closer. “You sure?”

I nod and use my tank top to wipe my eyes.

“I probably look crazy.”

He doesn’t laugh like I thought he would. Instead he takes my hand.

“You don’t look crazy, Angie. Tired. And sad. But not crazy.”

He’s still holding my hand and the kindness causes me to choke back tears again for a minute or so.

He’s stroking the back of my hand with his thumb when I calm down again.

“I just miss… my mom.” I gasp.

He nods and lets go of my hand.

“It’s hard. It is. We are all here for you and you’ve heard my Mum already say, you are to make yourself at home here.”

I nod.

“Let’s…” his voice trails off and then he stands. “Hey could you stand a minute?”

“Stand?” I sniffle.

“Trust me.” He smiles.

I push the red blanket down and stand.

“Over here.” He points to the foot of my bed next to my suitcase. “Perfect.” He says when I’m standing where he pointed.

Next I watch as he walks between our beds and then grips the bottom of his bed before tugging. He rolls over it and then pushes it further from the wall, now a foot closer to my bed. He does the same to my bed and now they are only maybe a half a foot apart.

To finish he looks through his closet a second before pulling out an old teddy bear. He gets onto the blue bed and places the bear over the place between our pillows.

“Nigel will be here. He likes cuddles. And I’ll be right here. If you need anything.” He points to his bear and then himself.

I smile and my cheeks feel warm making the new tears seem almost cold.

“Oh, Angie.” He stands.

“It’s okay. It’s a good cry. Thank you, Tom.” I crawl into the red bed and lay down before taking a deep breath, my breath still wavering slightly.

“Night, Angie.”

And I’m asleep again before I can respond.

You landed on tall, bright green grass that obviously has never been trimmed. Everything was uneven..and foreign. Although unfamiliar, the land was beautiful. Stars shone boldly, uplifting the concealed night sky. “Hmm,“you smiled cheekily at the thought of adventure.

That was definitely different. Just the night before, you were living in New York City, where it was anything but unlit. The thought left you curious of the land you were standing on.

It was unsafe, but better than living with your inhuman and barbaric ‘father’. He took a sadistic pleasure in tormenting you. He would verbally abuse and occasionally hit you. But you knew that you and your father’s relationship would never be mended back to how it was like before your mother passed away. You were glad to be away from his fiendish ways.

How could someone be so black-hearted to do that to a five year old girl. It was exceedingly precarious that you were in an unknown island, unassisted. Though that way, in only five years of your life, you learned to live independently. You knew to stay cautious of your surroundings, especially the sharp green eyes burning into the back of your neck.

"W-who are you,"your lip quivered.

The boy in the green stepped out from the shadow of the tree that concealed him moments before. He walked up to you, squatting down to your level so you were face to face. He had an innocent looking face, but so did your father.

"Love, there’s no need to worry,"he attempted to take your hand, but you pulled it away quickly. "You’re in Neverland, a place where all the lost are welcome,"you nodded slightly. "My shadow thought it was time for you,"he looked over your shoulder and you followed to where his eyes were wandering off to.

A black figure hovered above the ground, and it was..floating. The figure was intimidating, without a face, like slender man or a dementor from Harry Potter. You were alarmed at the ‘shadow’. You backed away, falling into the green-eyed man’s arms.

"Don’t be afraid love. I won’t let it hurt you,"you trusted him. After all, he was not older than 17, meaning he was not yet a man. You stayed in his arms, longing to close your eyes. "Go to sleep, I’ll bring you to camp,"the boy smiled at you.

"You didn’t answer my question. Who are you,"you repeated trying desperately to sound demanding.

"I’m Peter Pan th-,"were the last words you heard until you fell into a deep slumber.

***

Your eyes peeled open. Light shone through the window of the unfamiliar..treehouse? It was small, but cozy. There was blanket and several pillows draped over the floor, where a boy lay.

You suddenly remember the night before. The boy’s name was Peter Pan; the boy with the green eyes.

You stayed under the covers of your bed, because of the cool breeze coming from the propped open window on the right side of the room. You were fumbling with your fingers, bored and contemplating the night before.

You landed on a mysterious, foreign island. And a boy triple your age found you and has given you the most attention you’ve had since your mother died of a disease. Cancer you think it was. But then again, how would you know? You’re only five.

You heard tossing and turning where Peter Pan was sleeping and found him wide awake and facing you. "How did you sleep love?”

“Um, okay,"you hesitated thinking of sleeping in someone else’s bed.

"No need to be nervous,"he smiled, pushing himself onto his bed. "I’m going to take really good care of you, okay?”

“O-okay,"you stuttered unsure of your decision.

"Now, lets go out and meet the others. But love, you’ve got to get dressed,"he handed you a dress that looked like his tunic. He left the tent, giving you privacy to get changed. The dress fit perfectly, almost as if it was made for you.

You left the tent, finding Peter Pan and other boys surrounding you. You tucked your hair behind your ear.

"Boys, meet (Y/N),"Peter gestured to you.

"H-hi,"you were a mess today. But who wouldn’t be? You were the only girl in a foreign island filled with boys twice your age.

Two months passed since you greeted the lost boys. Pan has been the sweetest of them all, acting like a father, a real father. He cared for you and looked out for you. Peter would always make your day when you were down.

The other boys were no trouble either. They always played with you. Even though you were quite younger than you, you felt like you fit in, like you finally found your place.

"It’s your two month anniversary of being here, love,"Peter sat down next to you. You were watching the campfire and the boys dancing.

"Yeah.”

“Do you like it here?”

“Absolutely, Peter,"you wrapped your arms around him and he returned the hug, playing with your hair.

You sat on his lap for the rest of the night and he cradled you until you fell asleep.

The laughter subsides as the three of you step into the elevator, and you rest your head on Wanda’s shoulder as Pietro presses the button for the 3rd floor.

“Tonight was fun,” Wanda says happily. “I wish we got to go out more often.”

You nod against her shoulder as Pietro agrees, “Going out is fun. Even if the both of you always cockblock me.”
