YOI Future!Verse ABO AU, Visual Headcanon Web Charts #01
So I always wanted to make one of these. Turns out my headcanons for the most part are WAY too wordy for these things and uh, they’re a bit of a mess >.>;; BUT I hope nonetheless that they’re somewhat fun to read even if barely legible, it was fun to make ^ ^;
1. Super basic relationship chart of the core members of the lovely poly family in this AU.
2. “Adults Think,” the color of each adult indicates their feelings towards the person to whom the arrow is pointing.
3. “Kids Think,” the color of each OC kid indicates their feelings towards the person to whom the arrow is pointing.
There’s obviously a lot more to it than what could be crammed in the lil text boxes, but a gist and pretty much the first things that immediately popped into my mind regarding their interactions. 2 and 3 also mostly show their thoughts while the kids are younger, which will change a bit as they grow up, to be covered in a future post.
*Recommended you right click view image to see full size bc the text is tiny oops
Because the text is so illegible, text only versions of charts 2 and 3
beneath cut, all elaborated quite a bit because I’m so rambly oops:
IF YOU ARE NEW TO THIS AU: It’s Yuuri-centric polyamory in an ABO
setting, Yuuri’s married to four mates (Victor, Yurio, Phichit, Minami)
and they have OC kids.
few things make me as mad as people pushing the old “vaccines cause autism” nonsense (bonus rage points if they call autism a “sickness”)
and not only because it’s factually inaccurate, which it is, but also because it implies that dying from polio or something is BETTER than being on the spectrum (which, wtf?), and because it means we have to spend time refuting this crap instead of focusing on helping kids with ASD, and because it discourages people from vaccinating and thereby protecting their kids against actual illnesses which can kill you.
anyway, in case you’re wondering: vaccines don’t cause autism.
“Hinata… This big idiot finally understands… The real meaning of the scarf you gave me when you went with Toneri… I know now, from the scarf you painstakingly knitted and took so long to finish, that your love can’t be unraveled so easily… Wait for me… This whole time, you always loved me for the way I am… Now, as a man, there’s something I must tell you… Hinata, I swear I will save you!”
If your pred is mean/difficult/unresponsive: If you can’t talk to your Regional Representatives/Block Leaders: If you have no connections in your prefecture yet: If you’re feeling crappy/culture-shocky:
My ask box is always open and always has Anonymous options turned on, and I’m not gonna judge you. If you chat me through the message feature on Tumblr, I’m gonna respond to you.
If you’re in a situation where you don’t feel right, or good, it is okay. That happens sometimes. And if for some reason you’ve found my blog and you’re lookin’ for a little sympathy, it’s more than okay to reach out.
I mean it’s ALSO really okay to message me to gush about how happy you are, how excited you are, about the good things happening. But I know sometimes the tough things are the ones we have trouble discussing. So y’know. Whatever you wanna do!
“Why would I look up when the brightest star in the galaxy is right in front of me?" (because b'awwwwwwwwww)
This is short and sweet. So frigging sweet it’s honestly kind of disgusting. And I love it.
“There you are.”
Quinn jumped and turned. Mara stood several meters away on
the roof, her eyes glowing in the darkness.
“Forgive me, love; I required air.”
“And solitude and quiet,” she added, eyes
twinkling as she smiled. “I understand. No one celebrates like the Thrasks
celebrate. We have only one more night of this, fortunately.”
He stared, entranced, as she moved toward him. Her white and
silver robes flowed ethereally about her in the evening wind, the fabric
shimmering in the limited light so much that she seemed to be clothed in pure
starlight. Mara was many things - his lord, his lover, the embodiment of all
Quinn held dear and sacred in the Empire. That he could now add
“wife” to that list still shocked him. He presumed that shock would
lessen over time, but he felt certain he would never be able to think of her
thusly without feeling at least a little bit of awe.
“I’m amused that, of all the places for you to go, you
found the stairs leading out here,” she murmured as she slipped her arm
into his, looking out over the pine forests surrounding her estate.
“Why is that?”
“You’re standing in one of my favorite hiding spots
from my childhood,” she said. “I spent many evenings out here,
sometimes meditating or sulking, sometimes just looking at the stars.”
“I hope it does not seem like I am brooding,” he
began, but she silenced him with a hand on his cheek.
“Not at all,” she assured him. “Believe me,
I’m aware of just how overwhelming a Thrask wedding can be.” She kissed
his cheek and turned back to the dark forest and expanse of sky before them,
Kaas’s two moons glowing majestically in a field of stars.
“Besides, I should thank you for pulling me out of
doors on such a night.” She leaned back against him, his arms around her
waist, and craned her neck to look upward. “It’s beautiful.”
The back of her head was nestled into the curve of his neck,
the scent of her filling his nostrils and making his head swim.
“It is beautiful,” he agreed, turning his head
slightly to press a kiss to her ear.
“You know I can tell you’re not looking at the sky,
yes?” she asked.
“Why would I look up when the brightest star in the
galaxy is right here in my arms?”
She turned in his arms to face him and slipped her arms
around his neck, her glowing eyes warm when they met his.
“Marriage has made you sentimental, my captain.”
“I merely speak the truth, my lord,” he answered,
rubbing his nose against hers.
She used her hand on the back of his head to pull him in for a kiss. At length he pulled away slightly.
“We should return,” he murmured.
She nestled against him and his arms tightened around her of
their own accord.
“In a moment,” she said.
He dropped a kiss on the top of her head and stroked her
hair, content to hold her in the moonlight for as long as she wished.
Wanted to ask you this, i see how Kageyama's 'anger' could be explosive af. he doesnt have an approachable first impression and he's doesnt have an overall pleasing personality or socially-liked personality. i think most people who doesnt know him well would tend to see him negative ly. assuming theyre dating, how do you think kageyama and hinata would react if someone told hinata "why him of all? ugh" "you deserve better" or something like that? this gets me up at night ;_; so curious.
Ahhh… this is an interesting one to think about!
Kageyama is an interesting case in terms of the way he presents himself to people. Clearly, he has very little perception of the way he comes across to the outside world. But for the most part, he doesn’t draw a lot of attention to himself – it seems like aside from the fact that he sometimes has an incredibly grumpy resting face at times (generally when he’s trying to think hard about something), he’s mostly pretty quiet and keeps to himself.
So I feel like first impression-wise, people would maybe be a bit surprised at Hinata’s choice of partner, but probably wouldn’t get a dose of Angry Kageyama unless the first time they met the two of them was in the middle of a volleyball game. It seems like this is where most of Kageyama’s really explosive side really comes out, both in general and directed toward Hinata. But outside of games, he kind of tends to hover in a sort of quietly exasperated and reluctantly fond state, when it comes to Hinata (think that time when they went to try and convince Asahi to come back to the team). I’m not sure people would be exposed to his really abrasive side until they’d known the two of them for quite some time, which negates the whole point of not knowing him well…
That being said, if there were a situation in which someone saw that explosive side of him first, and questioned why Hinata was with him, I like to imagine Hinata’s reaction would be somewhere between his Intense Scary Mode and the way he reacted when people (Tsukki, Kindaichi, Kageyama himself) start to get down on Kageyama because of his King tendencies. Which is to say: Hinata just doesn’t put the fuck up with that shit, at all.
This isn’t to say that he supports the unacceptable parts of Kageyama’s behavior (on the contrary, he’s helped curb it), but he sees nothing wrong with the fact that Kageyama expects a lot from him, because Hinata expects just as much from Kageyama in return. Remember, Hinata isn’t not explosive. I would say his intense moments actually peak higher and with more ferocity than Kageyama’s, and more unexpectedly, as well (think that time after they lost to Seijoh when he just straight up slams Tobio to the grass for apologizing to him). They love to fight, and argue with one another. They both take these aspects of each other’s personality in stride, and to insinuate that Hinata can’t handle it would be an insult to him, moreso than it would be to Kageyama.
I think Hinata would be baffled by the sentiment that Kageyama didn’t deserve him, because they deserve each other, but also angered by the assumption that he isn’t perfectly capable of dealing with Kageyama’s temper and any moods that come his way. Hinata’s default way of defending Kageyama has never been to shield or protect him from the things people say, because that’s not what Tobio needs – rather, it’s been to honestly tell Kageyama (and everyone else within earshot) that to him, Kageyama is fine, he’s incredible, just the way he is.
