you are truly a merciful god

Sometimes God works behind the scenes… sometimes His work is center stage and the star of the show. Regardless of whether you can see Him working in your life or not, He truly is. You are not unnoticed by Jesus. Your prayers do not go unheard. He sees you. He is piecing the puzzle of your life together and the comforting thing about it all, is that He already knows what the whole picture looks like. We can trust Him. :)

Ephesians‬ ‭4:26-27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

“Be angry, and do not sin”:
do not let the sun go down on your wrath, nor give place to the devil.”

—–
Anger happens. Not all anger is sinful. However, don’t let it consume you and fester or continue for long periods of time. This gives the evil one a place to work… instead, seek an opportunity to shine the light of Jesus and His love. It isn’t easy, but nothing truly worthwhile is!

Psalm 16:11 says, “You make known to me the path of life; in Your presence there is fullness of joy; at Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.”
My time spent with God is the best part of my day. This is the time He renews my strength, fills me with His joy and reassures me with the truth in His word and guides me in the path  I need to take. A time where I reflect on His goodness and mercy, His unfailing love for those who put their trust in Him. It truly prepares me to face the challenges that lie ahead that day .
Have you taken time to be in His presence today?

TRULY, TRULY

The answer can be found in John 3:1-8 (ESV),

1 Now there was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews.

2 This man came to Jesus[a] by night and said to him, “Rabbi, we know that you are a teacher come from God, for no one can do these signs that you do unless God is with him.”

3 Jesus answered him, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born again[b] he cannot see the kingdom of God.”

4 Nicodemus said to him, “How can a man be born when he is old? Can he enter a second time into his mother’s womb and be born?”

5 Jesus answered, “Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God.

6 That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.[c]

7 Do not marvel that I said to you, ‘You[d] must be born again.’

8 The wind[e] blows where it wishes, and you hear its sound, but you do not know where it comes from or where it goes. So it is with everyone who is born of the Spirit.”

ange

ange (angel): what’s your opinion on religion? do you believe in anything?

I was baptized a Roman-Catholic Christian, but truly I am an atheist. I do not believe in a god or any greater power behind the things happening. There is only the force of nature (biology mostly) on earth and the forces of physics in space.

Everything has a logical explanation, but sometimes we are just incapable of seeing it.

Is it difficult to pretend to be Odin for hours at a time, my lord?

It is most definitely difficult to be Odin for hours at a time, you have no idea how many Asgardians come in to complain about their problems and praise Odin at the same damn time. ‘Thank you so much, Allfather.’ 'You truly are the most merciful of all, Allfather.’ Like Odin was ever merciful.

Proverbs 16:24
Kind words are like honey—sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
Kind words are sweet and pleasant to the ears. Kind words lift a soul out of darkness and take it towards the light of Christ. Kind words encourage, sooth, comfort, motivate, and show the love, mercy and grace given by God.
I pray as you speak, your words would be those of kindness. I pray the words you use would be as a light to show those who do not know God what God is truly like. I pray hatred will be put aside and that you find a means to restrain and hold against the temptation of lashing out hatefully. May God guide you and bring others to Him because of your own kindness. In Jesus’ Name, Amen!

It might help Jay to be reminded of how much you trust him. Perhaps suggest that you want him to blindfold and restrain you so that you're truly at his mercy. Then try some trust exercises. ( a oneshot of this would be amazing but that's up to you )

*clears throat nervously* That…that might not be a bad idea.

(((OOC: Lol, I am totally going to do that. Either as a straight up one-shot or a fade-to-black scene, depending on what Jay mod wants to do.)))

(((tagging @jaygarrickspeedgrampa just so he’s aware.)))

Today I am reminded of James 4:14, “For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away.”

Life is too short, and everything is temporary. There is nothing on this Earth that lasts forever except for the relationship we have with the Lord, which is eternal. His love truly changes everything. I pray you come to know Jesus’ love… it lasts even into eternity!

O you who believe! Keep from disobedience to God in reverence for Him and piety, and truly believe in His Messenger (Muhammad). He will grant you twofold of His mercy (one for your believing in all the previous Prophets, and one for the Last Prophet), and He will appoint for you a light to move (on the Straight Path in this world, leading to Paradise in the Hereafter), and He will forgive you. God is All-Forgiving, All-Compassionate.
—  Holy Qur'an, al-Hadid 28
Do You Truly Love Christ?

You say you love Christ, but you don’t even have the desire or the hunger to know Him through Scriptures. Something is wrong. You can’t have the former without the latter. “Examine yourselves, to see whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Or do you not realize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you?—unless indeed you fail to meet the test!” (2 Cor. 13:5).

It’s easy to love people we like. It’s something we really don’t even have to think about doing. But I think Jesus checks our hearts by the way we love people we don’t like, and let me tell you, that can feel like the ultimate chore. You have to willingly lay down your pride and differences to love people you don’t like - but I truly believe God smiles on us and blesses us when we do.
—  l.f.

The love of Christ is so for you today, tomorrow and forevermore. He did not die that you would be condemned, but accepted and reconciled with God. He is full of compassion, absolutely overflowing with mercy. You may be tired, weary, fearful, broken; we all are and we all need a Saviour. His name is Jesus. The name above every name, The One who rescues and is in His nature the Prince of Peace. No thing can stand against Christ, The Lord of all. If you are in Christ, you are in His righteousness, in His grace, His peace and you are truly inseparable from His love. Take joy in this. Live for the one who gave you life.

It’s scary to know that one day you could be close to Allah (God) and then the next day you could be disobeying Him by giving in to your desires.

But it’s also calming to know that He is The Most Merciful and that He loves to Forgive those who ask for forgiveness, regardless of how much sin they have committed. He is truly The Greatest.

What a shame it would be to go your whole life believing in God, but not following Him. There’s a difference between the two. Jesus doesn’t say, “Believe in me, and you’re good to go to heaven.” Nope! “Then Jesus said to His disciples, ‘If anyone desires to come after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and follow Me.’” (Matthew 16:24). Are you just a believer, or are you truly following Him? God wants more than just your belief. He wants your heart, and He wants to work in your life.

God

“Do you believe in god?” I asked him
“I’m searching for him, I’m still looking. All these books I read, you see, are nothing but a try to find God.” He answered
“All these lectures I listen to, I only do in an attempt to hear His vocie in them, and the places I visit, I go to, seeking Him”

“Have you found him?” He asked me

“I don’t need to. I never needed to.
To me, He is always here, He has always been and always will be”
God to me, is like Air, is like Ether. He occupies everything.
I can feel His existence around me, through me, above me, and within me.
He truly is closer to me than my jugular vein.

I have always felt him looking after me. Answering my wishes and protecting me. I felt his love, and watched as His mercy washed over me.
My God had been my godfather, If I dare say.
His mighty existence is not a question to me. I need no miracles, It is not a place of doubt.
He had found me before I even began searching.“

Going There.

I wanna go there with you.

To that place where lovers go to worship each other. To that place where pleasure and pain become one and the same. Where there is no penance for taking the lord’s name in vain.

I wanna go there.

Can we go to that place where discretion is not necessary? Where temptation is no longer met with frustration and freedom comes from within your lovers arms.

I wanna go there.

But only with you because you’re the only one who I’ll ever truly belong to. And you are mine, have been since the beginning of time. Your love fills me like the sweetest wine.

I wanna go there.

Can we take the time?

Can we make the time?

To make love and intertwine your essence with mine. You know this is how is was meant to be. Me with you and you with me.

I hope that God has mercy on us because I’ll die a thousand deaths if I can no longer feel your sweet breath on the nape of my neck.

I wanna go there with you.

Because you are the only one who I’ll ever truly belong to…

Good news! Someone just died for you!“

Wait… What? I was puzzled. Is it not a bit sarcastic? How is that even a good news?

He continued smiling, “Because now, you have the chance to truly live. You should have been the one who died but you didn’t, somebody else took your place and He rescued you from your sins. Nobody else can die for you like how my Son Jesus did. So embrace my grace, my mercy and the gift of my Salvation through my Son Jesus. Repent and turn away from your evil ways and be ready for my Son’s second coming”.
No other person can save you, only Jesus saves!

To my Muslim sisters, Wear your hijabs proudly & with strength. Don’t let anything shake your faith, the more they try to get rid of Islam, the stronger it becomes. Let the deaths of the Chapel Hill shooting make you firm in your belief that God is the most Merciful and truly from Him we came and to Him we will return. Don’t forget the reason you wear hijab and how beautiful it actually is. Its scary right now but know that when we stand united no one can take away what we believe in.
To my muslim brothers, never stop defending your Muslim sisters. Whether they wear hijab or not, now more than ever your sisters need you on their side. Please, keep them, and the rest of the ummah in your duas.

Stay strong for the ummah, the Lord is watching all the atrocities take place, justice is not far from reach. “Do not be sad, for He is with us.” [9:43]
