you are quite possibly one of the most perfect people in the world

anonymous asked:

I'm sorry to bother you, but do things really get better? I'm 16 right now and everything I know is sadness and exhaustion and anger and then I talk to my parents and they just complain about adult life... is it worth it to go on?

oh gosh, i promise, it’s worth waiting, buddy. i know there are a lot of people who say, oh it gets better. and it does in some ways, but what it really gets is different. the people who are angry and mean and horrible often stay that way. the people who cut you off or who flip you off or who piss you off often are the same people at 16 as at 26.

i think i hated people telling me “it gets better” because what could get better about being a mentally ill queer cuban girl in a world that wanted to eat me. i got spat out. my writing isn’t published because i’ve been rejected so many times i don’t even notice anymore. i was told a few times “make it less obviously homosexual”. what is going to get better about that, i said to myself. the memory of it will never be a nice one.

things got different slowly. like i didn’t realize until i was far on the other side of it. i wasn’t kidding in that last post when i said today i read my writing at 15 and it was painfully obvious how depressed i was. i didn’t have a diagnosis. like you, all i knew was that i was exhausted and angry and sad all the time and when i talked about it, i was told “everyone feels that way sometimes.” i felt that way all the time. in this story, i don’t suddenly wake up after turning 18 and have a magical life where it is all bunnies and flowers and loving. it took me 3 years of trying before i finally managed to quit self-harm completely. my eating disorder and i are still not on speaking terms, luckily. i’m slowly getting a handle on my ocd. i didn’t realize that the biggest thing that was changing was me.

yeah. being out of the house made it easier. away from where people knew me as a certain person. being someone new or being who i was or being in a room full of people who didn’t care how gay i was. being in control made it better. finding real and true friends made it better. being able to make my own plans and choose my own story and do more than just wait until i was old enough to be taken seriously - it got better.

but honestly it’s me. i learned how to shake hands with depression, he and i are such good old buddies i sometimes see him before he’s even coming. and i’ve gotten so good at getting out of his embrace, because practice makes perfect, same as anything. and i’ve learned things about myself i had no idea about at 16. i didn’t even realize i’m funny. i had never been skinny dipping. my only kiss had been sort of an accident. there was a lot i cared about then that i don’t care about now, because in my new world outside of that, the people i surround myself with don’t care either. i’ve worn a dinosaur onesie pajama set to eight parties now when 19 year old me wouldn’t be seen without her makeup. i wear glasses in public even though i’m nervous they make me look like a bug. i have tattoos and new piercings and a bank account (and no money) and i have love. and i don’t mean with a partner, although i’m blessed enough to say i have that as well - i mean. i just found it. i taught myself how to look for it. i figured - listen, i’m here still, so i might as well, like, try to enjoy it. and it wasn’t overnight. it still goes away sometimes. but i love so much and so easily now. i laugh more because of it. i let myself love dogs and movies and silly things. and this love sort of … makes things better. because it reflects off of everything into you. like a mirror.

at sixteen… at sixteen i was very suicidal. i didn’t know that it applied to me, because i thought i was just annoying and lazy. looking back now i always pull a face at how obvious it was, and how close i got to walking myself into a grave. it was more than a close call. death, like, waved. i actually believed i wouldn’t make it past 18. what was the point? what was the point of anything? i think if i’d told myself then, “it gets better”, i would have laughed. “maybe for you!” i would have said, “you have money and a life and you’re not like this.” but it did get better. in inches. stick around to see it. stick around to see everything wonderful that’s waiting in the wings for you. that knows your name. a fate of beautiful moments that are small and precious, like butterflies landing on fingers or snowflakes on tongues, or just sitting with a good book during the rainfall. hell, stick around to write the book, because (trust me), if you believe in your art and yourself - it can be done.

stick around most of all because what gets better is you fall in love with yourself. the world doesn’t become suddenly sickeningly sweet, even if the people around you become better and you’re given more opportunity. that’s wonderful too but… what happens is that over time, the stuff they told you stops sticking. you realize that just because your nose is crooked it doesn’t even matter because it doesn’t stop you from being the best dang ping pong player in your family. you realize you have a family, even if they’re not blood. you realize you are your own family. and you learn to take care of yourself and yes, it gets ugly at times, but you manage. and inside of managing there’s all these wonderful successes like mac and cheese and getting the bills done and the smell of clean laundry and friends that make you laugh so hard you almost pee and an apartment with plants in every corner and a hairless cat in sweaters or a dog with a bowtie or both and watching movies and reading books and seeing art, all of which haven’t been created yet, and possibly you’re the one who makes them. and managing … managing doesn’t have to be big. sometimes it’s just making a small difference. and sometimes the person you make a difference to is yourself. and that’s amazing.

stick around because, trust me, somewhere in there, you meet your younger self in your dreams and you tell her - oh gosh, i promise, it’s worth waiting, buddy.

things i love about my hero academia

(not all of them because then this would turn into a 500 page journal that could be published and sold and no one would buy it because no one is as much of a nerd as i am)

  • our main protagonist is not a traditionally masculine hero. he’s small, he’s weak, he’s a crybaby, he’s sensitive. especially in the shounen genre, this is a pretty rare thing to see, and even as Izuku grows as a person and becomes more confident in himself, he’s still shy and anxious.
  • he’s also a fanboy!! and not in a bad way!! it’s his fanboy nature that allows him to express himself and show how smart, intuitive, and observant he is
  • the character who does get all the traditionally masculine traits is the character everyone in the main cast acknowledges is a total asshole who mercilessly bullied and abused his classmate/childhood playmate
  • it’s also very clearly seen that Izuku has been conditioned (unintentionally) to fear Bakugou because of all of that physical and emotional abuse. just because he’s a hero in training and he’s learning and growing and becoming more confident doesn’t erase all of those years of bullying
  • it’s also acknowledged that they are children and still have room to grow. Bakugou is an asshole, but he’s not totally villainized for his behavior and is given the chance to change and become a better person because he’s only sixteen years old and still has time to change
  • and he does!! he makes an effort to change and try to adjust his behavior to make a more positive impact (even if it is a slow and arduous process, we do see him make great strides throughout the manga)
  • it would have been really easy to just throw Bakugou under the bus and make him a villain, but instead we get to see his growth as a person as he matures and enters the world of adulthood
  • All Might is the no. 1 hero, the Symbol of Peace, the man everyone thinks is invincible, and he has a chronic condition. he’s missing his stomach, he’s had multiple surgeries, he spits up blood, he literally looks like a skeleton, guys. but even after the reveal, people still admire and look up to him as an idol because he’s still All Might and he still protected and saved a lot of lives and was still a hero
  • All Might’s relationship with Izuku just in general. seriously, i could make an entirely different list just based on their relationship and 95% of the fandom has already talked about them, so i won’t gush about their relationship too much here
  • the fact that most of the adults take responsibility when they fuck up. the police force realize they’ve relied too heavily on heroes, specifically All Might, and they make an effort to change that so they can help people. the teachers at UA recognize that they’ve neglected students who need psychological help. Izuku’s mom acknowledges that she should have encouraged his dream in spite of his quirklessness. most stories, even in the west, don’t have nearly as much adult responsibility as this series does
  • the elusive living anime mom
  • okay but seriously, Inko is quite possibly one of the best fictional moms i’ve seen in a long time. she’s loving and encouraging and she tries her hardest, but she’s not perfect. she’s a single mom caring for her son, who wants to go into this incredibly dangerous profession. and when he gets hurt enough times, when her limit is finally met, she puts her foot down and says “no. i love you, but i can’t let you keep getting hurt like this.” like any reasonable parent would. and the only way she relents is when she sees how much Toshinori wants to teach him and nurture him and encourage him and see his dream recognized and she sees how badly Izuku wants to continue down this path, even if it’s under her terms.
  • this series seriously tackles a lot of topics that you wouldn’t expect it to. you know you’re gonna get the usual topics like what makes a hero, what makes a villain, etc. but, it also goes over other subjects like bullying, parental abuse, discrimination, grief, inferiority complexes, how easy it is to create a monster, redemption. this is a manga about teenagers learning to be super heroes, how did it turn out like this
  • it would have been so easy to sexualize any of the girls. this manga, in the hands of a lesser author, would have featured a lot of fan service shots of the girls. Momo especially, considering she wears a very revealing outfit. and yet, none of them are sexualized?? in any way shape or form??? yeah, we see Momo shirtless a lot and some girls wear skin tight outfits. but, you know who else has skin tight outfits and revealing hero costumes? the boys. and when we do see a shirtless girl or boy, it’s not framed in a way where we’re meant to be objectifying their body. there’s a reason why it happened and we move on. it’s so refreshing.
  • (there are only two fan service female characters. one uses her sexuality to get free shit and the other is meant to make you uncomfortable. take it what you will)
  • we get a lot of unique designs for each of the characters. there are no same faces. each character has a unique quirk and a design that belongs to them. they aren’t interchangeable with one another. Izuku looks like Izuku. All Might looks like All Might. they all look unique with different shapes and sizes
  • (admittedly the manga still kind of falls under the trap of the boys get to have weird, strange designs and the girls all kind of look cute, but it’s not nearly as bad as some other shows. and honestly, if that’s my only complaint, that says a lot)
  • fighting doesn’t solve everything! there’s a really incredible few chapters in the manga dedicated to acknowledging that Izuku and Bakugou seriously need to talk to each other about what Bakugou did to him. they’re both incredible people in their own right and they can learn a lot from each other, but only if they stop fighting and actually communicate with each other. one of the chapters is literally titled “a meaningless fight”. because it is meaningless. it’s not going to solve their problems, fix past mistakes, or make them feel better. it’s a fight to get aggression out because Bakugou doesn’t know any other way to deal with his emotions and trauma.
  • kindness is rewarded!!! cruelty is not!!! i’m really sick and tired of TV shows and movies trying to sell this pessimistic outlook that everything sucks and that gives us the right to be assholes to each other just because it’s edgy. My Hero Academia is such a positive manga and it brings me so much joy and happiness and it sends such a wonderful message of anyone can be a hero if you have a good heart and that kindness will be rewarded, even if it takes a really long time.

i love this manga so much and it’s given me so much light and happiness in my life and if that makes me weird because it’s anime, then fine. whatever. i don’t care. i’ll love it for as long as i can, dammit.

Imagine

Here’s my meta about the last clip of episode 5.

  • Our intro shot of the karaoke bar introduces our players. I’m especially interested in how we see Mari and Sara twice each (and sharing one shot).
  • May I just say: I am glad my son Eskild is alive and Extra.
  • We have Chris talking to Sara (we don’t see Sara’s face but it’s her jumper) 👀
  • In general we have a big focus on couples (including Evak) and russebussen people. Showing, again, this season’s themes (love and identities/belongings).
  • We have some Chris and Eva talking about wiring money, which seems like foreshadowing to the russebuss contract and payment.
  • Even is about to sing and no one ships Evak more than Magnus.
  • @newlevelofdesperate wrote a great meta about Even singing “Imagine” by John Lennon. I agree with most of it.
I’ll just add that the song is ironic, just like “I’m Not In Love” in s3e5. “Imagine all the people living life in peace.” Sana is feeling the song at the moment. She feels that everything came together, finally. But it’s not true. She wished she could create world peace (if you gave her the power to do so she would, she really would). But she can’t. Some things are beyond her reach and she still hasn’t managed to reconcile her two identities (Norwegian & Muslim).
Also, I think the song is as much an Even song as a Sana one. Once again.
  • We barely see Mikael walk in, and Elias and the gang look around. Yousef seems to be looking in the crowd for Sana.
  • No shot of the squad until we get a shot of Even seeing them. Then Magnus and Jonas turn to see where Even is looking (not Isak or Mahdi) and we get another shot of balloon squad: no Mikael. Adam and Mutta seem unconcerned. Elias though sees Even and is not smiling (but he’s not looking mad either).
He grabs Yousef who was smiling towards Sana and…the smile falters.

OK guys hear me out on this but- I think that the entire TAZ world, or at least the seven red-robes are running on a constant majoras mask/refuge year long loop that resets with the earth being devoured by The Hunger, and that there is a second voidfish that (up until now) kept this a secret

There will be a tl;dr at the end

there’s one ladrien trope/opinion that i see coming back and coming back that just… makes less and less sense the more i think about it

and it’s the ‘broken pedestal’ angst trope

because for one, this requires that both chat and marinette have their respective loves on ‘‘pedestals’‘ (that is to say, blind and/or unwilling to see their faults and weaknesses), and, while i can see it for marinette, i don’t see it for chat.

at all.

because chat ‘she can be so stubborn!’ ‘weren’t you a little harsh?’ ‘don’t you have an apology to make?’ noir absolutely sees ladybug’s faults. he calls her out on them on multiple occasions. he knows she’s hot-headed and stubborn and thoughtless, and his response? is to remind her to be kind, and to take responsibility for her actions, and to apologize.

you can’t do that if you don’t think someone doesn’t have faults and doesn’t make mistakes.

and he didn’t fall for ‘perfect, invincible, flawless ladybug’, you know. he fell for the terrified little girl who thought she wasn’t enough, who took her scraps of courage and her wit and her sense of responsibility, and made something amazing out of them.

he fell for the girl who went from ‘i’m ma— ma-ma-… *clunk* …majorly clumsy’ to coming up with a plan on the spot to defeat this thing that neither of them really knew how to deal with. he fell for the girl who had her face in her hands, convinced that she couldn’t until hawkmoth showed up and she needed to — who then blew everyone out of the water, this tiny little person taking on that thing that had just threatened them all. and winning.

i firmly, firmly believe that chat fell for her bravery first. i’m sure there were a whole cascade of reasons that came afterwards (because seriously, ladybug), but the world gave marinette a chance (and a reason) to shine, and she shone like a supernova.

tell me you wouldn’t be a little bit dazzled after something like that.

and chat is absolutely, visibly dazzled, but he doesn’t stay so dazzled that he can’t or won’t take her for what she is, and that? is not a pedestal.

and on marinette’s end, there is something of a pedestal.

it’s always ‘perfect, perfect adrien’ that she claims that she loves, and that he’s kind seems to be the most she actually knows about his personality for the majority of the show, with the gamer and kung food being the two obvious exceptions.

the gamer is actually pretty pertinent to this rant about why the ‘broken pedestal’ doesn’t make sense, because here, adrien does expose himself. he lets marinette in a little. he mentions his insecurities to her, and marinette isn’t disillusioned.

granted, that would be a pretty strange thing to get disillusioned over (unless she believed he was invincible somehow, which she doesn’t seem to), but she reacts with awkward warmth and support, not rejection.

and, you know, there are ways i could totally see adrien’s pedestal getting broken in a nasty way (because they’re both jealous people, and adrien, at the very least, has been known to spout white lies when they serve him, and those could both lead to very worrying fights), but in all the theories i’ve seen…

the most common is that ladybug/marinette will be disillusioned that adrien is basically chat.

…i mean.

it’s not like she felt a powerful connection with her partner even early on, and it would be ridiculous to think that she might enjoy his puns, or that she would ever value his input or listen to him (despite swallowing her pride and apologizing to people she hates at least twice (volpina and antibug) at his urging), or, you know, trust him implicitly (certainly not to the point of looking at the most damning of evidence and leaping to the conclusion that he’s innocent (copycat and the christmas special)), or ever consider him as a romantic interest in a million years — in fact, she really doesn’t even want him getting close!

(i just spent the last 2 hours looking for any gifset of ladybug checking chat out (which has happened at least twice, one in stormy weather and one in an episode that i can no longer remember the name of that takes place at the tv station) and came up blank, but rest assured that it has happened.)

like, that marinette/ladybug would be disappointed to find that adrien is chat (or particularly chat-like) just doesn’t have canon backing imo, because ladybug, no matter to what degree she’ll admit it. really likes chat.

like, canonically. now.

at finding her crush is a giant dork who really resembles one of her closest friends, would she be disbelieving? probably! more at ease/less fluster-y around adrien? i’d hope so. less likely to take him seriously in everything? quite possibly!

betrayed, uninterested, disillusioned, and/or apathetic?

…let’s try that one again.

tl;dr: angst is great, but there are loads of opportunities for it that don’t change the fundamental aspects of these relationships. chat. for better or worse. adores ladybug (really and truly with very few delusions), and while marinette might not know adrien all that well right now, there’s nothing in the show to suggest she would be dissatisfied with whatever she found in him.

What podcasts I listen to

This is a post that most likely no one cares about since I shitpost whatever I’m into but I wanna get my thoughts about the podcasts I listen to regularly and what I feel about them.

Welcome to Night Vale - This is the one that got me into podcasts although it scared me at first. I managed to listen to 60 episodes in almost a week so I was pretty hooked. This is about a friendly desert community where the sun is hot, the moon is beautiful and mysterious lights pass while we all pretend to sleep. It’s set in a H P Lovecraft style of world where the scariest of things are seen as the most normal of things. Things change when a beautiful stranger comes to town but you’ll fall in love instantly. Episodes come out the 1st and 15th of each month

Alice Isn’t Dead - This is done by the same company that does Night Vale and it’s a lot darker and creepier. It is about a truck driver who drives around the country trying to find her wife Alice while discovering things about the towns she goes past. A warning if you don’t deal with gore or violence very well (also spoilers) someone does get murdered in the first episode and the main character does get attacked in a later episode. This show is only done by Joseph Fink and his style is a little scary at times but it’s still good. I recommend binge listening to the first season before the second one comes out because it’s a little easier to keep up with the story that way. I prefer Night Vale over Alice but that’s just a personal opinion. Episodes will continue when the next season starts.

Wolf 359 - This is one of my favourite podcasts I have ever listened to. Written by Gabriel Urbina, it’s about Doug Eiffel’s life on the Hephaestus Research Station as they orbit the red dwarf star Wolf 359. This a podcast you’ll want more of and you’ll want to know every single plot twist and theory. The characters are loveable and it just makes me really happy. Renee Minkowski is the station’s commander and she makes sure that her boys stay in check (mostly Eiffel). Dr. Hilbert is honestly a little creepy but you can’t hate him and HERA is my computer wife. Every storyline is great and will only keep you guessing. The website also has other cool stuff such as playlists for the characters which are on spotify and there are small little things that are fantastic. The early seasons are very lighthearted and Zach Valenti (@iamzachvalenti) voices both Doug and Hilbert and it’s just fantastic to listen to. Episodes come out every two weeks.

Limetown - Limetown is very different compared to the other podcasts. It’s a news report that follows a reporter, Lia Haddock, as she tries to find out what happened to an entire town of people that just vanished into thin air. The length of the episodes span under 10 minutes to nearly an hour. It’s interesting but Lia is kinda annoying with her methods of obtaining the information she desires but her intentions are in the right place, despite her actions getting innocent people hurt. The podcast kinda stopped in December last year so it’s real easy to listen to but you will want more which is disappointing since you want to know what happens in the next season. It takes a very realistic turn of events so who knows when the next season comes out. If you like realistic podcasts then this is the one for you

The Bright Sessions - Another personal favourite of mine and I no joke want more right now. The only way I can describe the podcast without spoiling it is X-men go to therapy. It’s an actual pleasure to listen to and it keeps you hooked. Lauren Shippen  (@thelaurenshippen)  has created something thats actually beautiful and has created characters who are relatable in every way. Sam is a time traveller with anxiety, Caleb is a high school student who can feel others emotions, Chloe thinks she’s going insane with the voices of angels then there is a mysterious character who I shall not name. It’s defiantly worth a listen and it’s an A++ podcast. The website also has things that are unique to each person. Sam has a blog, Caleb has instagram and playlists of his own and Chloe has tumblr. This is no joke something I want to make in the future so it’s amazing to me. New episode dates will be released with the new episodes.

King Falls AM - This is like Night Vale but less creepy and more paranormal. The main characters are Sammy “Shotgun” Stevens and Ben Arnold who host a  late night call in show. I can only imagine this like Night Vale because of the similar format but they are completely different. King Falls AM is what Night Vale would be if the town normal and unusual things aren’t normal. The characters are really loveable and I just love them so much. There are people you will love to hate and it definitely makes you feel like you are a citizen of the town which is great. It brings a sense of community to the small fandom. I want to say more but it’s very spoilery so I will say no more. It’s worth the listen to and I recommend binge listening to this one, trust me you’ll want to. New episodes come out the 1st and 15th of each month.

EOS 10 - I’ll admit that I haven’t finished this podcast but I don’t think they’ve made new episodes since last year?????? (it was December so I wasn’t wrong). The story follows Ryan Dalias arriving on EOS 10 to check up on the doctor on the ship who has been going through his share of addiction. From what I’ve listened from this, it’s not bad but not my cup of tea. Scifi podcasts don’t work for me but I still enjoy this quite a bit. Warning if you aren’t interested in hearing people do the frick frack then there is a part of episode 3 that you’ll want to skip because it’s a little uncomfortable. The first two seasons are out and god knows when the next season will be available.

Within the Wires - This is another one done by Night Vale presents. Within the Wires is written by Jeffrey Cranor and the story is based through a series of standard relaxation tapes where you soon realise that yours aren’t standard. The woman on the to the main character and you slowly figure out what that connection is. The tapes themselves are a little creepy but they are sort of relaxing at the same time. Season two may be different and possibly might not be relaxation tapes but that’s the exciting thing about it. I personally prefer this podcast to Alice because I can listen to this and not feel scared when I’m trying to sleep. This one just creeps me out opposed to scaring me so I stay awake. I wouldn’t listen to this before bed though. I recommend to listen to this on a really long road trip because that’s the most comfortable I felt when I heard it. New episodes will come out when the new season does.

ars PARADOXICA - Imagine if you had accidentally created time travel and you find yourself in 1942 in the middle of the second world war. That’s what Sally Grisham does and she soon discovers that her time travel only goes back so she attempts to find a way to go back to her own time which is a little difficult with only technology from the early 40′s. I’ll be honest, I did really like this podcast when I first started it but the last 4 episodes make me question if I actually want to continue it. The latest episode makes me think that I could continue it. They do give warnings about gun violence and terrible things happening to kids which made me super uncomfortable but the warning was nice. New episodes come out the 1st of each month

The Orbiting Human Circus (of the Air) - Yet another Night Vale presents project but it’s not written by Joseph or Jeffrey. The story follows the janitor Juilen as he tries to get into the show without getting caught. The podcast is set on top of the Eiffel tower and the most magical things happen such as a bird who can recreate a whole orchestra perfectly and a machine that can make the thoughts of a cricket come to life. There are only four episodes so far but it’s pretty good so far. The janitor is my favourite and he just shares stories about his life that only make me want to get to know him better which is nice. The french accents also make me really happy. New episodes come out every other Wednesday and I high recommend it.

Tom Holland Imagine: Comic Con

Summary: You and Tom meet at Comic Con while you’re both promoting your new movies

A/N: I saw The Lost City of Z today and almost died because it was so good. It’s literally my favorite book of all time and when I found out Tom was going to play Jack is almost cried.

Warnings: none

————————————————

Tom and the rest of the Spider-Man: Homecoming cast were in the middle of an interview when she first caught his eye. She was dressed in a blue floral dress when he saw her. Tom tried to keep his focus on answering the questions but his attention kept diverting to her smile. Her smile was the most enchanting smile he had ever seen and she had the most kind eyes of anyone he had ever met.

She was crouched next to a little girl and appeared to be singing. Although Tom couldn’t hear her, he knew she had to have the voice of an angel.

“So, Tom, got your eye on anyone?”

Tom snapped his head back over to the interviewer who was smiling at him.

Tom stayed quiet for a moment as he looked at Zendaya for help who simply giggled at the boy in distress.

“Um, I-uh… I don’t know. There’s one girl who I recently saw and thought was beautiful. But I haven’t had the chance to introduce myself to her yet…”

Tom could feel his cheeks heating up as the rest of the cast ooo'ed at his response.

Tom looked up to Harrison who was smirking at him.

Tom turned his gaze back to look for her, but she was gone. Tom felt like he was going to have a panic attack if he didn’t find her soon.

Luckily for him, the interview ended and he had 1 hour before their panel started. 1 hour to find the mystery girl.

Tom frantically looked around the mountains of people for the dark haired girl in the light blue floral dress. Tom prayed to whatever god was up there that he would find her and find her soon.

Tom was abducted from his prayers by a familiar voice calling his name.

He turned his head to see friendly blue eyes looking back him.

“Hey, kid. It’s been a while.” Sebastian said as he smiled sweetly at Tom.

Although they joked about having a rivalry, they were actually quite fond of each other.

“Oh, hey Seb. Sorry, I just saw this girl earlier and I’m trying to find her.”

“Oh? What’d she look like?”

“Ummm… dark hair, kind eyes, beautiful smile, she was wearing a light blue dress with yellow, black and white flowers on it.”

“I think I know who you’re talking about. Her name’s Y/N. She’s the voice of the new Disney princess. She’s probably in the break room, honestly. Or maybe try and find her booth?”

Tom nodded and took off towards the break room.

“Okay, bye, I guess…” Sebastian mumbled as he watched the lovesick boy run away from him.

Tom could hear people yelling his name for pictures, but he ignored all of them. He felt horrible for neglecting his fans, but he had to find her.

Tom finally reached the break room and saw the same beautiful smile from before as she read from a book of fairytales.

Everything felt like slow motion for Tom as he approached where she was sitting.

Tom had normally been good at talking to girls, but as soon as her e/c eyes met his, he felt hopeless.

His throat ran dry and he could hear his heart pounding in his chest while his stomach did cartwheels inside of him. He felt like he was no longer in reality, but placed in a fictional world of romance like in the movies his mom always watches.

Tom suddenly become aware of how much time had passed of him staring when he noticed her smile beginning to drop.

“Hi? Can I help you with something?”

And that was it. Hearing her voice. Her voice was as smooth as velvet and as beautiful as a sunset over an ocean.

Tom swallowed the lump in his voice and counted to three before blurting out a hello.

The beautiful smile returned to her face as she greeted him once again.

Tom’s cheeks heated up again.

“I’m Tom. I uh, I saw you earlier and I-I just, um-”

“He thinks you’re really pretty!”

Tom whipped around to see Sebastian standing at the door smirking, obviously enjoying the torture that the poor boy was in.

“Oh… is that true?”

Tom turned back to look at Y/N with wide eyes. He slowly nodded and felt his cheeks grow warmer if that was even possible.

Y/N smiled up at him before grabbing a notepad from the tables and a pen.

“Well, if that’s the case, maybe when you learn how to speak properly, you can give me a call.”

Y/N handed Tom the piece of paper that contained her phone number.

Tom smile brightly at Y/N before he heard them calling for the Spider-Man Cast to head to their panel.

“Maybe after this is over, I can take you to dinner? Would that be okay?”

“That sounds perfect.”

I Hate Christmas - Sherlock x (y/n)

Word count: 1784

Warnings: none

“Sherlock!” Mrs. Hudson called from downstairs. “It’s (y/n)!”

Sherlock hurried down the stairs as quickly as he could. “Ah, (y/n). Finally. John and Mary are preparing dinner upstairs and I’ll be heading out for a bit.”

“Sherlock!” You said, exasperated. “You promised you’d stay. Even if you had a case. It’s Christmas for Christ’s sake.”

“I hate Christmas.” He said with a sneer. “It brings about carolers and holiday cheer.”

“Oh, Sherlock. Promise me you’ll still come home for dinner and presents.”

“Food is for the weak and I told everyone not to get me anything. I also did not get anything for anyone else…” He said trailing off.

“Sherlock…”

“Fine. I promise I’ll be home for dinner and presents.” He said rolling his eyes. “Even if I don’t eat and I don’t have presents.”

“Good boy.” You said smiling brightly. You bounced into the building away from the cold, chilling air of London. Sherlock moved past you and into the freezing air.

“I’m not a boy (y/n). I’m a man. A very smart one at that.” He said quickly, as if in a rush, which to be honest he probably was. He then briskly walked away. Mrs. Hudson gave you a sad smile.

“Sorry about him dear. That’s Sherlock though. Always dashing about. Anyhow, might you come up for a spot of tea? John and Mary’s food smells so delicious.”

You smiled kindly at her, “Of course, Mrs. Hudson. Thank you.”

Time Skip

“Mrs. Hudson!” Sherlock’s loud voice rang from downstairs. “I’m back for Christmas dinner.” He said in a disgusted tone you could tell he wasn’t really trying to hide. He walked upstairs quickly, taking the steps two at a time. He walked past you hastily, using his coat to conceal something that he was carrying. “Mrs. Hudson, John, (y/n) don’t wait up. I’ll be in my room wrapping things up. I’ll be back in a wink.” He said winking at you. You blushed profusely. Trying to cover it up, you said, “Shall we start eating?”

“Of course.” John said with a happy smile.

“Mary, the pie looks delicious.” You said to her.

“Oh, I didn’t make it. John did. He’s a great baker.” She said bragging slightly about her wonderful husband.

“Well then John, it looks simply divine.” You said excited to dig in to the wonderful looking food.

Time Skip – After Dinner

“Oh, the meal was so scrumptious.” Mrs. Hudson commented, a little bit sleepy from the meal.

“It was.” You said, a bit sleepy yourself. “It was too bad Sherlock didn’t eat anything.” You said clearing the last of the plates from the table. As if on cue Sherlock emerged from his room.

“Time for presents.” He said lazily, as if bored with the whole affair and idea of Christmas. Little did you know, inside he was having a silent panic attack. He secretly slipped something under the tree.

“Ok.” You said giddily, smiling like a child. “I’m excited to see what you got me Mr. Holmes.” You said nudging him in the side.

“Nothing.” He responded. “I told you earlier that I didn’t get anyone anything.”

You looked down, slightly saddened by this sentence. Your Christmas cheer was being ruined by Sherlock.

“You know you don’t have to be such a spoilsport.”

“I actually do.”

“Why, Sherlock?”

“The idea of buying people presents gives some people anxiety. Anxiety about not getting the right thing. In fact, it is scientifically proven that people have more stress around the holidays.” He said with a completely straight face.

“Really Sherlock? You don’t buy people presents because you’re afraid you’ll get the wrong thing?”

“That is what I said, yes.” He said rolling his eyes.

“Sherlock… We’re your friends. We’ll be happy with anything you give us.”

“Really?” He said raising an eyebrow. “Last Christmas John said he loved my gift. He lied. I read his body language. He was not at all pleased with my gift. I was given a mental talent for reading people and it is a blessing and a curse. Let me ask you something, (y/n). Do you sometimes wish I were a normal person? That I’m unable to read people like a book?”

Without missing a heartbeat, you answered his question honestly, “No. You are perfect. If you weren’t the way you were you would never have met me. You never would have been ‘The Great Sherlock Holmes’, and I never would have come to you with my case.”

He clasped his hands together, thinking deeply. “Hmm… You’re right.”

“As I always am.” You said.

“Not always.” He corrected quickly.

You laughed. John and Mary came out of the kitchen. “What’s so funny?” John asked.

“Nothing, nothing.” You said. “Let’s go. I can’t possibly wait any longer. I can feel the presents calling to me.”

“Presents don’t talk.” Sherlock mentioned quietly.

“They do in my mind palace.” You said, teasing him.

He sighed tiredly, “Let’s just get on with the presents.”

John cleared his throat. “Ok then. Let’s see, first present.” He picked up a box with green wrapping. He said out loud, “For Mary and John, from (y/n).” You smiled as they unwrapped it together. They pulled out a small onesie.

“It’s for the baby.” You said smiling brightly. “Do you guys like it?”

Mary turned to you. “Oh, (y/n). We love it!” She came over to hug you.

John said, “Thank you (y/n). It’s a wonderful gift.”

You picked the next box. “For Sherlock, from John and Mary.” You smiled at the couple as you unwrapped the present for Sherlock. You pulled out a hat. You laughed. Sherlock rolled his eyes and looked at the hat in disgust. You smiled at Mary, “Thanks guys.” You looked at John and mouthed, “I’ll make him wear it.” The next present was for Mrs. Hudson, from John and Mary. It was a nice pink shawl. John and Mary had given you a nice coat that matched Sherlock’s. The presents from John and Mary were all wonderful. Next, it was your turn to give everyone presents. You had already given John and Mary their present so you gave Mrs. Hudson hers. Sher pulled out a blouse, a skirt, and a pair of heels all matching the same royal blue color. “Thank you, dear.” She said smiling at you.

“Of course, Mrs. Hudson.” You said, matching her smile. Then you handed Sherlock his present. He opened it and was surprised to see a brand new blue scarf.

“Thank you very much, (y/n).” He said looking over at you.

You smiled at him, “Anything for you, Sherlock.”

Mrs. Hudson seemed to be ready to bounce out of her seat. Sher quickly handed everyone their presents. Your gift was a nice jumper. “Mrs. Hudson, did you knit this all by yourself?” You inquired.

“Yes I did.” She said quite proudly. Sherlock’s was a fancy suit.

“Mrs. Hudson, where did you get this?” He asked.

“Oh, it was from a real fancy shop. I know you have a lot of suits, but this one just seemed to pop to me. It would look perfect on you. I mean you have all black suits; you never wear blue. I thought it would look real nice on you.”

“Thank you. I like it.” He said cautiously, as if his words might offend her. Everyone looked around. There were no more presents to be opened. Everyone looked expectantly at Sherlock. They didn’t seem surprised, however. They soon all packed up and left, save for Mrs. Hudson, who had gone upstairs. You started to clean up the trash on the ground from the presents. Sherlock watched you carefully, studying you. You had finished clearing all of the wrapping paper from around the tree when a little twinkle from under the tree caught your eye. You reached a hand under the tree and felt a box. You pulled it out. It was a small box covered with shiny silver wrapping paper. Carefully you turned it over, ‘To my dear (y/n), from your Sherlock,’ it said in fancy writing on the wrapping paper. You turned to Sherlock and he gave you a smile. “I didn’t want you to open it in front of everyone.” He said smirking at your surprised face.

“Here, I thought you were a pompous jackass who was too good to get anyone anything.” You commented, joking lightly. Sherlock only rolled his eyes.

“Open it.” He said. “Before I change my mind and return it.”

“Now I know what you meant when you said you were in your room, ‘wrapping things up’. You meant it literally, that you actually were ‘wrapping something up’. Gosh, you are clever.”

“I know.” He said, sarcastically. “Now open it.”

You excitedly ripped off the wrapping paper. Inside was a black square velvet box. You gasped in surprise. It was from Tiffany’s. You traced your fingers along the velvet on the outside of the box. “What is it?” You asked Sherlock, looking over at him. He only smiled mysteriously.

“Open it and see.”

You opened the box to see the diamond necklace you had been drooling over for a long time every time you passed the window of Tiffany’s. “Sherlock! You didn’t have to get me this.”

“I actually did. Did you think I wouldn’t notice how every day when we walked past the store you looked longingly and lovingly at this necklace. I read John, I can read you too.”

“Sherlock! This is just too much. I-I” You were at a loss for words. You looked down at the box and noticed there was another, much smaller, box inside. You picked it up. “Sherlock… What’s this?”

He stayed silent. So you took the box carefully in your hands and opened it up. Inside was a beautiful diamond ring. You gasped. “Oh my. Oh my gosh.” You looked up at Sherlock. He smiled mysteriously.

“I see no need to get on one knee and all so I’ll just say it. Will you (y/n) (y/l/n) the most beautiful and clever and kind and funny person I have ever met and also my favorite human being in this entire wretched world, agree to be my wife?”

“Yes, Sherlock. Yes of course I’ll be your wife.” You stood up to hug him and as you hugged you noticed a small green plant hanging on top of Sherlock’s head. You smiled. As you pulled apart from the hug you pecked Sherlock on the lips.

“What was that for?” He questioned.

“Tradition.” You responded with a smirk.

“I hate tradition.”

“Is there anything you don’t hate?”

“I don’t hate you.”

You smiled softly. “Hey, don’t get soft on me now Mr. Holmes.”

“I won’t Mrs. Holmes.”

The End

The Signs In A Relationship - Extended

Aries: Aries partners are very straight forward, they don’t like playing games, psychologically speaking. When it comes to being playful in the relationship, Aries’ love it! Whether it’s board games, video games, play wrestling that ends in kissing, Aries. Has. To. Win. If they don’t win first time round I can guarantee there will be a round two. Being the first sign, a fire sign no less, debates can get heated but if it’s a debate about something stupid it’s more or less going to end up in an aggressive make out session. Their fiery personality can make them both hard to handle at times and amusingly challenging at others. They love to challenge you, they feel it’s a practical way to help you’s two bond and secure your relationship. Despite the fact that they come across quite headstrong, Aries’ are easy to get riled up which can leave them vulnerable in a way. When angry, Aries’ temper flashes wildly, without warning and is gone as quick as it came. Empathy is not their strong suit but they’ll try their very best when it’s someone they love. They might get a little uncomfortable if you cry in front of them but only because it breaks their heart to see it. Aries’ are all about passion and they love to make their partner smile and laugh. If you’re not giving them the amount of attention or affection they want they can get grouchy until you notice it. All in all, Aries lovers can be hard to handle but an amazing companion to someone who can either cool down their fire or match it.

Taurus: Taurean partners are one of the most steady partners you can get. They like a stable, easy flowing relationship and will do what they can to achieve one. They are incredibly determined and will do what they can to make their relationship as harmonious as possible. Commitment in very important to them and they are very cautious about who they give it to, I mean REALLY cautious about it. Being one of the most sensual signs of the zodiac, Taurus’ fall quickly in lust, even quicker when it’s with someone they truly love. Ruled by Venus, Taurus’ are suckers for romance, whether they show it or not. Candles, romantic dinners, massages etc. appeal to their senses and can break down their emotional barriers. Because they are so committed and ensnared in their relationship, they can get jealous and possessive quite easily. They might not realise it, but it’s because they’re so emotionally invested in their relationships that instincts kick in and they do what they can to keep what’s theirs. When upset, their rage is often compared to that of a bull, their animal. It builds up over time and when released can be lethal. Do. Not. Betray. Their. Trust. They will never let it go and they might find it difficult to trust you again.

Gemini: Gemini’s, like the other air signs desire intellectual stimulation and is quite witty in their charm. Flirting is a game to them and they always win. They can be quite extroverted in their relationship and likes to make it know that you’re together, they’ll take any opportunity to tell their loved ones about you. They can sometimes be caught between being in a good and bad mood, and further more if there is actually something wrong they’ll mostly try to avoid talking about it. Air signs generally find feelings icky and do there best to keep their distance. It’s not anything personal, it’s just one of their principles whether they’re aware of it or not. If you get onto the topic of feelings and emotions, Gems will normally try to talk their way into a different topic or try to make the situation lighter by adding humour or sarcasm, depending on the partner this could be problematic. Gemini’s get bored quite easily and need a partner that’s willing to try new things with them and can give them a constant sense of excitement of some sort. A partner who can intellectually challenge Gemini appeals to them a lot, because they fall in love with peoples minds. They can be quite cunning when it comes to getting what they want, they may not even notice it because it’s their nature but they need someone who can handle this and keep their ass in check before people get hurt. Overall, very much like Aries, Gems can be a handful but they can open doors for you and make you think about things and question yourself, leading to personal development.

Cancer: Cancer’s are naturally the mothers of the zodiac so it’s no surprise that they are one of the most nurturing partners you could have. They will make you chicken soup when your sick and fail at serenading you when you’re sad (probably because you’ll probably end up laughing). This is the sign that will put everything else on hold to care for and ensure the safety of their loved one. They are incredibly intuitive, being able to tell if a person is upset from the slightest gesture. Relationships are very important to Cancer’s and if there’s any disruption it can cause a knock on affect in other areas of their lives. They’re quite sentimental and nostalgic, the type of partners that would keep memorabilia from a first date and cherish it. Cancer’s often find themselves overwhelmed by emotions and can find it almost impossible to make an intellectual decision without letting emotions come into play. This can be problematic and dangerous to both involved in the relationship. Cancerians can be manipulative when they need to be. They are fully aware of their innocent disposition and can use it to their ability when needed. This sign can encourage emotional growth in their partner but needs someone to keep them grounded and help them snap out of it when needed.

Leo: Leo’s are very proud in their relationships and will take any opportunity they can get to show their partner off. One of the most playful signs in the zodiac, these partners guarantee an enthusiastic and spontaneous relationship, they love to surprise. Leo’s look at the world with excitement and love, and just by being in their company, they can show you the most beautiful aspects of the simplest thing. Their optimism and persistence can bring the relationship a long way. They loves to be adored, whether they admit it or not, it lies deep in their soul simply because they have an air of self belief. When alone with their partner, Leo’s are very warm hearted and affectionate. They show you amazing parts of yourself you didn’t even consider because they have an eye for things like that. They recover quickly from set backs so this can be helpful in a compromise based relationship. Leo’s are generally attracted to people with strong personalities, Sometimes Leo’s can be overbearing with their emotions which can leave their partner feeling a little tired but when with someone’s who’s personality can match theirs, they can be handled. Leo’s very rarely change their minds, once they’re set on something - that’s that, but if you can appeal to their emotional side, persuasion is possible, yet still very hard to do. They can sometimes fall victim to false praise in the desire to look good in front of others. With a partner who can match their fire and not take advantage of them, Leo’s love and energy can be harnessed in a positive way.

Virgo: Virgos are one of the most intellectual signs in the zodiac so relationships without mental stimulus won’t last very long. They’re incredibly witty and sarcastic and they use this to be playful with you. A partner who can connect with them intellectually is one that Virgo’s never get bored off. They like to pick peoples brains and to know why you like certain things. Possibly the most organised of the signs, Virgo is able to keep the relationship moving at a steady pace that suits both partners. Virgo’s have a very powerful sex drive although they tend to keep it hidden to those they’re not intimate with and like the other earth signs can be quite sensual. They can be quite tricky when it comes to feeling and emotions. Virgos don’t like feelings because they find them quite messy and often this causes them to feel torn in a relationship, making falling in love bitter sweet for them. They’re very detail oriented and can sometimes nit pick their partner. They can over analyse the relationship and get themselves into a worried state and make them uncomfortable. They don’t like to open up much because if they talk about their feelings it makes them more real after they’ve spent a big amount of time analysing them out of existence. If they open up to you, tread carefully and try not to get too much out of them, they’re opening up to you for a specific reason and if you try to get more, they’ll shut down again and they may never open up to you again. Virgo’s need someone who will connect with them intellectually, provide them with stability, give them space when they need, be there when they want to open up but not push them into it.

Libra: Probably the most idealistic signs when it comes to romantic relationships, Libra’s can sometimes expect too much rom-com scenarios in their relationships but only with the intention of deepening the bond between them and their lover. Libra’s personality was in some way created for love, it is the sign of balance, partnership and judgement. Librans strive to be fair and just in their relationship and desire harmony in their romantic affairs. Libra’s are great at negotiating and can maintain a harmonious atmosphere in the relationship. They are natural flirters but aren’t as crude about it as some of the other signs. They love the idea of love and falling into it which can sometimes leave them vulnerable to those who might play them. Emotionally, like other air signs, they like to step back from feelings apart from when it comes to romantic love. They’re emotions can get intense when dealing with love and although Librans are generally not jealous people, any sort of threat to their relationship can arouse feelings of inadequacy and insecurity. They can sometimes get selfish in their relationship, wanting it to be perfect for them. With the right partner that can roll with their ideas and can be 100% devoted/loyal to them, Libra’s can provide others with a fair, amorous relationship that never gets unromantic.

Scorpio: Scorpio’s are easily the most secretive signs in the zodiac and can be hard to get to know. In public they don’t show much affection other than hand or waist holding, but behind closed doors they can be completely different. Scorpio’s can often feel torn because even though they need an outlet, needing a partner makes Scorpio feel vulnerable and they like to see themselves as emotionally self-sufficient. Dominance and power in a big thing with this sign, they like to be in control of the situation at all times. They never wear their heart on their sleeves. When in a committed relationship they show just how passionate and erotic they are behind their enigmatic exterior. They feel things so deeply in their souls but you may never know unless they choose to let you in - if they do, you should be honoured. They will empathise with your problems internally, normally not letting you know they sometimes feel the same. They expect absolute utmost loyalty and faithfulness as they provide you with nothing less. If you betray or stray from a Scorpio, good luck getting them to trust you again. They never forget or forgive, even if they pretend they do, and it takes forever, if at all, to get their trust back. They can always see into your heart so don’t bother trying to lie to them. Scorpio’s are best know for their out lash - and rightly so! It’s in their nature to use attack as their defence, their partner needs to understand this and be patient with them. They normally lash out because they feel vulnerable on some level. With a partner that can understand their complex emotions and be patient and stable while they figure themselves out, Scorpios can be one of them most of the most compassionate and encouraging partners in the zodiac.

Sagittarius: Sagittarian’s are one of the most freedom-loving signs in the zodiac and can sometimes become uneasy when it comes to settling down. They love new things so sometimes the thought of commitment can be unappealing however, when in love Sagittarius can bring the spice of life to their partner. They love to flirt, and they’re great at it too. While Aries is passionate in their flirting and Leo is playful, Sagittarius’ are incredibly fiery, the type that will challenge you for the hell of it. Travel is a big keyword with Sagittarius’, they can get bored easily and need something (or someone) to keep them on their feet. A very independent sign, they will not take any shit from anyone and will call you out if you’re acting up. They will not tolerate time wasters. Sagittarius’ don’t enjoy thinking about emotions and much less feeling them. They feel that they’re emotions can hinder their ambition and likes to leave them untouched so don’t expect them to frequently get deep into their emotions because chances are they will change the subject on a lighter note. They tend to lie without really noticing it and can sometimes make promises they don’t keep. It’s not that they disregard them purposely, it’s just they might forget in their pursuit of even more new experiences. For this reason, their partner might need to be able to take the things they say with a pinch of salt. With a partner that can keep up the pace and adapt to Sagittarius’ ever changing interests, not drag them down or put pressure on them to commit too soon, Sagittarius’ can show them the world in a whole new light with wondrous opportunity’s.

Capricorn: Like the other earthy signs, Capricorn’s are normally quite reserved in public when with their partner but when alone (varying on how close they are) they can really let loose. They have an unusual sense of humour which can come across as dark to some. When you know them extremely well, you might get the chance to see how much of a wild card Caps can really be. This sign is one of the most reliable in the zodiac and possess incredible strength of character which can handle strong personalities. They’re often described as the “rock” in the relationship, they can keep the other partner grounded without crushing their spirit. They’re very patient when it comes to other and respect their partners wishes as they’d like to be respected in turn. Their relationships tend to last very long and they take their responsibility in the relationship seriously. They have a very cool demeanour until aroused sexually. They tend to be very lusty rather than love-y, because they’re very careful about love. Capricorns panic when they’re not in control of a situation and somewhat lacks the ability to express their emotions properly. When a Capricorn opens up to you, the things they’ll tell you will break your heart and you must treat that information as carefully as you can because it has taken a lot for the Cap to tell you. With a partner that won’t smother them but at the same time commit to the relationship as much as they do, Capricorns can provide a harmonious, steady and fruitful relationship.

Aquarius: Aquarian partners can be very eccentric and hyper when with their partner - in both private and public! This sign will seek equality in the relationship, to be together as a team. They are the sign known for change and growth, this will be the sign that can easily get their relationship to evolve at a healthy pace. This sign values companionship in their romantic relationship, they enjoy the company of those who they can sit with and question society and existence one minute and do the most random, pointless activity with the next simply because it makes them happy. Like the other air signs, Aquarians can some times be idealistic and will try to sneakily get their own way. Although they may seem detached and not very feeling, below the surface lies conflicting, chaotic emotions. For that reason they need stability, especially in a relationship. Intimacy can be awkward for them sometimes because they’re so independent and they find it hard to express the complex emotions they feel despite their verbal intelligence. However they will sit with you and listen to your woes and try to find a solution, they probably won’t delve into their own problems that often and when they do they’ll finish with “but anyway” and then change the subject so to not dwell on them. With an optimistic partner that can respect Aqua’s need for space, can listen to their opinions and not base the whole relationship off of intimacy and physical attraction, Aquarius’ can learn to express themselves and their ideas better and can give their partner a mind opening experience.

Pisces: Pisceans can be tricky when it comes to love, they fall in love with the idea of love like Libras but are wary of it like Scorpios. Incredibly intuitive, they can always tell when their partner is feeling off just by the way they come into the room. They are probably the most understanding sign in the zodiac and won’t push you into talking if you don’t want to (even if it frustrates them a little). When you do decide to talk about it, Pisces’ are excellent listeners and will provide empathy and validation for your feelings. They know how much emotions can affect people, having felt their own so very deeply and make it their priority to take care of their partners emotional needs. Like the air signs, they tend to be infatuated by intellectual stimulus as long as the other person isn’t being snobbish about it. Though they might not show it, words can hurt them a lot and they tend to take things to heart, even if they know it wasn’t intentional. This sign can be prone to guilt and can be manipulated easily enough. However, they’re just as willing to play the game and can manipulate just as well. They adapt to their surroundings a lot so their emotional state in terms of romance can be a reflection on the state of the relationship itself. They tend to drift between merging with their partner and flirting with other possibilities. With a partner who can be patient with them, understand their emotional complexity and keep them grounded whenever they get second thoughts, Pisces’ can lead their partner to inner contentment and show them that if you look hard enough there’s still good left in the world.

so...a Victuuri version of that Adam Scott, Mark Hamill clip needs to happen y/y?

“38.7 million views in 24 hours. Do you know what that means? You beat Adele. You beat the Avengers. You beat that Psy video where he wears harem pants and pushes people off treadmills. You are in a very exclusive club, my friend.”

The audience laughs, and Yuuri should laugh too, but Kerry Washington’s skin is perfect and he can’t stop staring. And her teeth are so white that they don’t even look like teeth. It’s like when he was writing his thesis and spent so much time staring at the opening sentence of the discussion section that he had to check four times to make sure he spelled “the” right. There’s a name for that sort of brain malfunction, but hell if he knows what it is.

10 Reasons to watch Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency

1) It features an amazing collection of female characters, who pass the Bechtel test while actively supporting and encouraging each other.

There’s Bart, who manages to be the most terrifying badass to ever grace the screen while still somehow retaining her child-like wonder and innocence.

There’s Farah, who isn’t afraid to step up and fight for the people she loves, all while battling acute anxiety and the biggest inferiority complex I have ever seen.

And then there’s Amanda, who is utterly fearless despite a near crippling disease that restricts both her freedom and her independence.

2. None of the above women are ever sexualized/objectified. At no point are they raped. At no point does anyone threaten them with rape. Even when they are placed in scenarios where we would expect rape, the threat never arises. In a world where sexual violence against women is commonplace and used extensively in media, this is both refreshing and strangely uplifting.

3. The male characters are almost completely useless and yet utterly charming.

There’s Dirk, who reluctantly allows the universe to chart his course, this despite the obvious trauma of his childhood and his unbearable loneliness.

There’s Todd, who so thoroughly hates himself he can barely stand to let another call him a friend.

And then there’s Ken, who overcomes overwhelming terror to find his place in the universe.

4. Two of the six main characters are characters of colour. And not only are they well-written, they are also central to the plot.

5. All of the bad guys are idiots. Literally. This isn’t a show where the above heroes need to outwit impossibly smart supervillains. It’s a show where the bad guys have no clue what’s going on and can’t even begin to figure out how they got themselves into this situation. This both simplifies the narrative and provides tons of comedic relief.

6. Pacing. Plot. Continuity.

If you’re looking for a show that holds together start to finish, where every little nuanced scene connects to the bigger picture, then this is the show for you. Try watching it through a second time. It’s seamless.

7. Time Travel.

I just love time travel, okay. Especially when it’s done well.

8. It’s weirdly hilarious. I love a show that doesn’t take itself too seriously. I love a show that throws convention and commonality out the window. I love a show that isn’t afraid to be weird. Especially when they’re adapting Douglas Adams.

9. It’s filmed in Vancouver! Wondering why there are so many SPN extras? That would be why. But more importantly, Vancouver is stunning. As a result, so is the show. BC is the perfect backdrop for the show’s vibrant use of colours. It’s really quite lovely to watch.

10. Finally, there are a plethora of ships.

There’s Dirk/Todd, who are utterly adorable in those moments when they do connect. Dirk is the loneliest, neediest person on the planet. Todd is filled with self-loathing. Dirk makes Todd feel worthy of love. Todd offers Dirk a connection. It’s a match made in some weird vortex of time and space.

There’s Bart/Ken, who somehow fit together in ways you’d never anticipate. Bart gives Ken’s life meaning. Ken helps Bart navigate the world outside of killing. They dig on each other like crazy.

There’s Farah/Amanda, who nicely counterbalance each other. Let’s face it, Farah’s a mess, but she’s protective as fuck and Amanda, who actually has her head together, often needs protecting. These two complement each other like crazy.

And then there’s Amanda/Rowdy 3 (yes there are 4 of them), who seem so well matched you’d think they were one soul inside 5 bodies. Plus, these boys would protect her with their lives and yet never once seem to see her as a sexual object.

Don’t like any of the above? How about Amanda/Dirk? Or Todd/Farah? Or Dirk/Farah? Or Dirk/Todd/Farah? Honestly, it’s an open universe, with so much potential and so many possibilities. Heck, I’m even shipping Rapunzel/Shark-Kitten.

But see, you don’t need ten reasons to watch it. You just need one. Dirk Gently’s Holistic Detective Agency is a ton of fun, and it’s available on Netflix. There is literally nothing standing in your way.

Champion, Emperor, and King

So I went on a rambling tangent to a friend of mine and came back to something about the two Black Paladins we’ve encountered, Black Lion herself, and Shiro’s title of Champion.

First and foremost: There’s some implied themes of royalty to the Black Lion, and the paladin that stands by her side. Voltron, when in its strongest form, has five heads, and Black’s stands above the others. She is the head of Voltron, literally and figuratively, and she is, to a degree, symbolically crowned.

The other Lions all have ears that are usually a mix of gray and one other color. Black is the only one who has golden ears- noteworthy, because when Voltron itself is form, those ears transform into horns.

One of the primary stated virtues of the Black Paladin is they are someone who others “follow without question.” This does not merely suggest force of personality and a strong will, but rather, someone who others reflexively turn to. In practice, we see this with both Shiro and Zarkon, with how their respective allies acknowledge them and look to them in situations of doubt. The first time Lance turns to Shiro, no one asks him to do so, and no discussion has been made about who’s in charge. But Lance defers to Shiro. When Shiro was incapacitated on his arrival to Earth, we don’t see a decisive leader between the paladins as much as they collaborate, all piling in their ideas and input as it comes up.

The Top 10 Best Dads in Persona

Hey guys it’s me, Ricetopaz, coming at you with the top 10 best dads in the Persona series as my Father’s Day special.

Let’s get down to business. At number 10, we have…

Kunikazu Okumura from Persona 5!

He may not be the most caring, loving, or nice father, but if there’s one thing he does have, it’s money. Lots of it. He also has a space ship. And a spooky death scene. And that’s all he needs to win the number 10 spot!

At number 9, we have…

Takeharu Kirijo from Persona 3!

I don’t actually know that much about Takeharu, but if I know 3 things about him for certain: 1: He Raised Mitsuru, and Mitsuru turned out pretty alright. 2: He died. And Mitsuru was sad about it so he was probably a good Dad if that happened. And 3: He has a really cool eyepatch and all good dads need an eyepatch. All these factors and more earn him the number 9 spot of best Persona dads!

Coming in at number 8…

Mayoshi Shido from Persona 5!

Objectively speaking, every child’s favorite day is “Bring Your Kid to Work” day, a day where they get to spend the entire day alongside their beloved Mother or Father. However, when you’re MAYOSHI SHIDO’s unwanted child, EVERY DAY is Bring Your Kid to Work day! Even in-between running for Prime Minister and committing constant horrifying illegal acts, he still makes time for his beautiful son!

Some of you may argue that commanding people to be killed makes him a bad Dad, but think about it. He did order the death of one of the lesser Dads on this list, Kunikazu Okumura. So in a way, he’s simply just killing inferior Dads to improve the Dad genepool for generations to come! So shine on you, Shido!

At number 7, we have…

Munehisa Iwai from Persona 5!

In a way, Iwai represents all the traits a good Dad should have: Hardworking, protective, and involved in highly illegal activities. Throughout his Confidant, he proves time and time again just how willing he is to devote himself to his son, and keep him out of harm’s way, even willing to risk his own life to protect his child!

But as our number 6 spot proves, being the greatest Dad of all takes a little more than just being willing to risk your life for your child…

Coming in at number 6…

Makoto and Sae  Niijima’s Dad from Persona 5!

Unlike that sissy Iwai, Mr. Niijima ACTUALLY died, rather than just be WILLING to die, like that coward Iwai is. Really puts him to shame, honestly.

And now at number 5, we have…

Aspects in the Natal Chart Series

Venus Square Pluto: The Prick of a Rose

Ah the attractions you stumble upon are never easy, but what can you do? You cant help it. For you have truly craved the intoxicating taste of what bewitches you. Alas, here explains where you have oozed your sexuality to the world, charming every breathing thing as you exclude your aura around them. You don’t want fake love or something superficial; You want someone real that has depth, and you give loyalty in return (this goes for all venus-pluto aspect). You’re seductive, charming, have a knack for money, and stubborn about your desires. Yet the question is, how does this aspect manifest? You may fear the consequences of love, or you may crave a love so deep, that it’ll leave you breathless. This isn’t some easy aspect, squares and oppositions have a cringe-feeling quality that keeps you wary; keep caution for holding the rose (beauty) as it may please you, but it can prick you. You’re your own enemy, self-sabotaging your relationships and destroying it as you release it. You may drive, not only yourself, but your partner crazy with your suspicious qualities and controlling attitude. Don’t deny it, you may act like the thorn on the rose. You can have deep fears about love, a form of insecurity, and/or perhaps even intimacy. It makes perfect sense, deep transformation connecting to love and sensuality. This is about manifestation because I’m not going to sugar coat it; you can have obsessive undertones, acid splashes of jealousy, and can be dangerously revengeful. It needs to blossom into just letting go, especially emotionally. To find peace and to gain self-growth. Only than can you reach to the heights potential with this aspect; to love deeply, peacefully, intuitively, seductively, but most importantly, healthily.

Venus Square Moon: The Undercurrents in the Soul

The one thing Venus and the Moon have in common are peace and tranquility but a square has none of the smooth corners for such mannerisms to occur easily to the person. Here’s the difference though, the moon is maternal and nurturing. Venus is sensual and flirtatious. Sounds like a nice mix but it’s split. These two elements click deeply to the heart, so for your want of love and to have strong bonds is important to you because you’re probably very sensitive. You fear abandonment or rejection, to not have your emotions reciprocated. Due to this aspect and despite your want, you rather not be in a committed relationship. If you choose to, it might be ones not favorable to you. It’s quite simple you see, your emotional needs don’t match what you’re attracted to. It does not flow together and challenges each other. The funny thing is, you can’t be yourself and let loose despite how emotional you are. These are both feminine energies and more conflicting in a male’s chart, but regardless, the currents of waves are strong and it can never reach what you want. Either someone attracts the outer layer of what you want, but not what you need, or vice-versa. The makeup of your wants and needs , they don’t match. There’s just no harmony obtained, so what works when you want a long-term relationship? Someone who also has Venus square Moon.

Venus Square Saturn: The Broken Mirror and Fallen Petals

Saturn is a very…mature planet. It’s about restrictions and repression, and then wisdom and growth. It’s the life cycle represented in a planet; you fall and get up but rather slowly. Venus is all about love, beauty, and happiness. You see how those two work when harshly affected? These people may feel unloved, unappreciated, unloved, and have hints of insecurity. Yes you are responsible in love, but you’re also sensitive to criticism and rejection, as you’re guarded too. You’re responsible in love, always being a shoulder to lean on but are a little restrictive/strict with your partner with your deep-rooted fears. Due to the nature of this aspect, you might be uncomfortable when others express love and aren’t good in showing the soft-side of you. Two words: You’re guarded. There’s this introverted nature to you, even socially. You have this responsibility of working, “to enjoy the fruits of your labor.” And in love? Be careful not to build strong expectations because you’ll get disappointed a lot. It’s not even the harsh nature you project outside, but even inside. It’s harsh as I said, you’re breaking the mirror with your loud thoughts. The petals have fallen as time have passed, but like Saturn being aided by Venus, something soon enough beautifully manifest. Now there’s a stronger mirror and richer petals canvasing the stem in your hand. You’re naturally frugal with money, ambitious, hard-working, and loyal. With manifestation, you have the self-love requited by no one, but yourself. Truly aging like fine wine.

Mercury Square Uranus: “Eureka,”she says

Electric shocks shoot from your words, your thoughts. Straight to their mind and possibly infiltrating their soul. There’s something unique and bizarre about your thoughts, but different and ground-breaking. Your flavor of thought is one of a kind, but if your Mercury has a serious undertone, your insight can be original. One astrologer explained this as the left brain (Mercury) connecting to the right brain (Uranus), one is expressed to the world and the other isn’t. So this is why it’s so addictive and interesting to know and hear the thoughts of these people. There is also the sweet zest of freedom; to allow one selves and others to voice their freedom. These people do well in expanding their knowledge and to share it to the world. They learn and understand ideas quick, picking up things often at a speedy rate. These people are open-minded and unique. Uranus screams unique and Mercury, well… it speaks. I’m going to quit giving love to Mercury though because if you see my blog, I do that a lot for some odd reason. The square comes with some not-so-fun qualities. With all major Mercury-Uranus aspects, there’s also a sense of being stubborn. Difficulty to speak in harmony at times, to act mentally superior, impatient with people who can’t keep up with your electrifying pace. Although some may value their thoughts, some may shun it away. These individuals need to learn to stop thinking too much. Lady Gaga, Elvis Presley, John F Kennedy, and Winston Churchill are the few who held this aspect.

Mercury Square Neptune: The Depth of My Thoughts

Sneaky little Mercury with the vast oceans of Neptune? There’s a seductive and dreamy undertone with this. Seductive in the most sincere way, your imagination is something else. They have a poetic sense to them which seems to latch people on, and even if you’re reading this you may not realize it a lot. There’s something about them that makes you wander…where are they (even though they’re present)? What are they thinking? How do they know this? It’s this that gives them that introverted and “hard to reach” nature which is hard to deal with. Since Mercury focuses on a precise thought and Neptune swims in the depths and expanse of the ocean, it’s interesting as  how much they pick up. They’re insightful and intuitive, but sensitive. The thing is their thoughts again are like the siren, it sits there but you can’t ever reach it and grab on for good. That’s what makes this aspect hard; people may have a hard time getting the real them. They don’t take criticism well and they’re prone to be misunderstood, there’s complexity in them and they don’t always take self-boundaries well. Boundaries in a sense of mental rapport, they don’t like facts or to have restrictions. They’re gifted with intuition though; to read minds of others and to fit their surroundings. Sadly they have to refrain from drowning in confusion and fear, their depth can consume them which is really hard to deal with. In basic words, their thoughts can drown them.

Mercury Square Moon: Heart versus Mind

These planets together are quite, intriguing. With hard Mercury-Moon aspects, these two join in a volatile way. They over think and then it works them emotionally, and vice-versa. It makes me think of anxiety, to over think to the point your emotions are swirling everywhere. It’s the fine point where your mind and heart meet at the border. There is a sense of difficulty in expressing emotions and to have people value them the way they want. Even though the mind and heart are facing each other and are fatally bonded, they’re not happily married and are constantly having opposing opinions. “I think we should do this.” “No, but I feel like we should do this” and with the constant bickering, the inner-confusion begins. They also deal with the affair of being emotionally biased and sensitive with their opinions. There’s also this sense of gossiping or over-talking that astrologers bring up with this aspect, which makes sense because your emotions are spilling out with your voice.

anonymous asked:

Hi I noticed you're really into astrology so do you mind giving a rundown of all the rising signs and your experiences with them maybe? Thx

I would love to! I don’t have personal experience with all of them (that I know of) but I’ll try my best.

Aries rising: The only person I know with this placement is my aunt and she is undoubtedly the most energetic person in a room. It’s impossible to ignore her; she just lives life as if she’s in her 20s when in reality she’s almost 60. Like she has a fiery energy and it’s just unmistakable. She can be quick to anger, definitely though. If things don’t go her way then she most likely will hold a grudge until the other person apologizes. Nonetheless, I appreciate Aries risings’ childlike enthusiasm and willingness to start something new.

Taurus rising: I have yet to encounter any taurus rising, however, I do know many taurus suns and I’m sure there are a few things the two have in common. I’ve read that taurus risings are some of the most elegant, smooth people you know, and that they generally are easy to identify in a crowd. They’re probably more prone to wanting the life of luxury and give off a very comforting vibe. They’re not too out there yet they’re not extremely closed off either. Even though they may not be the loudest ones in a room, they don’t need to be because their presence speaks for itself.

Gemini rising: One of my good friends is one and this might be harder for me to answer. One thing I noticed was that she was, in my opinion, the easiest person to approach. I never felt the need hold back my expressions because I felt she was understanding enough to let me speak my mind. I would definitely say she observes much more than she speaks. This is one thing that stumped me. When I first found out she was one I almost couldn’t believe it because of how social and energetic they are often described. Not only that, but she generally is one of the first to go silent. I think she does appeal to the clever and open-mindedness that gemini risings offer, though. So even though she may not be under my definition, a standard gemini rising, I think they can be hard to pin down to one image considering their duality. I think many gemini risings could actually seem a tad bit intimidating, but generally a priority of theirs is to communicate. Like aries, they give off a very youthful impression.

Cancer rising: I have not met any in real life but once again I know quite a few cancer suns and I do find similarities in the two. Cancer risings most likely give off a very familiar vibe. They are most likely more quiet than most other risings and prefer to stay in their lane of comfort. Generally, they’re very sentimental. Their feelings can easily be expressed through facial expressions and they prefer to have security than to jump into new situations. They definitely give off a nurturing vibe and can easily feel the changing of their surroundings. Cancer risings have a hard shell and a very soft core.

Leo rising: Once again their presence is undeniable. They instantly make an impression and stand out due to their star-like qualities. Not all will be as outgoing, but they are definitely ambitious. They steer toward a very enthusiastic disposition and may also look for other people like them. They usually appear confident in themselves and may seem even a little bit entitled, but they are some of the most warm and big-hearted people around. They also may seem needy and overly self-conscious about how they appear to others, but overall their brightness is unmatchable.

Virgo rising: I know MANY virgo risings. All of them have shown a great amount of work ethic and may even become anxious if things aren’t picture-perfect. To many they seem quiet and critical, and perhaps a bit too opinionated, but they are genuinely some of the most caring. They live to serve others and they appear professional which is something quite admirable. They’re organized and very humble people. Their stress can be very worrisome, though. Their tendencies to pick on every little thing doesn’t only agitate the people around them, but themselves too. Virgo is ruled by mercury and like gemini communication is important, but virgo risings prefer looking at the details of situations rather than the big picture.

Libra rising: I do not know any libra risings, but as a libra sun, I can recognize the similarities. They radiate a sort of gentle aura. They are by far the most polite of the risings and value relationships the most. Like leo risings, libra risings can be very attached to their perceived image. Libra risings avoid conflict normally, and are very charming. They love to be around other people and love socializing but can get tired of the constant change in their personalities. They struggle with understanding their identity which is why they look to others. A lot may consider them shallow or fake upon first meetings, but this isn’t because a libra rising doesn’t have more in depth thoughts, it’s just not something they like to pay attention to. Libras are about harmony, and deep subjects can throw off the light, playful conversation libras enjoy most. They do not change themselves on purpose, necessarily. They just adapt to each new environment because it’s what makes them feel the most comfortable. They value the comfort of others the most, so when everyone else is comfortable, they are as well.

Scorpio rising: I know the most scorpio risings out of them all and they have very distinct qualities. They are known to be some of the most intimidating risings, whether they want to appear that way or not. The ones I have known all seemed very quiet to me at first and my first instinct is always to keep talking until they reply which is something they generally do not understand whatsoever considering their demeanor. People may be afraid of scorpio risings or intrigued because of their strong presence. Not all are extremely private, but they appear that way. They really don’t appreciate superficial people and they tend to feel many emotions but don’t like to openly reveal them. Not all are super shy, but when they speak they may want to cut to the chase rather than wasting their time on smalltalk. If a scorpio rising trusts you though there really should be no issue in communication.

Sagittarius rising: OBVIOUS when someone is one. One of my good friends is a sag rising and when I first met her I remember being completely thrown off by her. She was loud, open, and very in your face. She said pretty much everything that came to her mind and didn’t care about the feelings or opinions of others. She always appeared very humorous to me so I never took any of her comments to heart because I realized she treated everyone that way. So yes, sag risings can be extremely blunt, but never with bad intentions. They are very spiritual people and want to connect with something bigger than them generally. Once you understand them you can see that they are just very fun-loving people. They are some of the most optimistic people and they can be very generous and extravagant.

Capricorn rising: I don’t know any and I really am not familiar with many capricorn suns either so this may be difficult. From what I’ve heard, they tend to appear quite serious. Probably some of the most intimidating along with scorpio risings. They most likely seem invested in their work, are fairly organized, and like to achieve. Some people may describe them as quite shy or “awkward.” Some might even think they come off as boring because they generally guard themselves. They’re quite methodical and practical, but also very down-to-earth. They’re very thoughtful people overall.

Aquarius rising: I’m one as well as my sister and my father! Aquarius rising indicates that you are more than likely highly individualistic and appreciate the road not taken. Uniqueness is a large characteristic involving aquarius and generally we observe with impartiality and intellect. Aqua risings are very aware of their surroundings especially considering aquarius takes the community into consideration before themselves. Can be seen as the “weird” person in a group because of the efforts to rebel in any way possible. We’re huge humanitarians, and are known to be some of the most aloof. Aqua risings are regularly considered as the most detached and potentially standoffish. Also, aqua risings can look quite stubborn much like any other fixed sign. I’ve heard this is a placement where one can appear to be a mad scientist as well.

Pisces rising: They appear to be in their own world most of the time. They’re more social than the other water signs and adapt to environments with ease. Their creativity is unmatchable and even if they may come across shy sometimes, they most likely have a lot to say and aren’t reserved whatsoever. They express their thoughts more so with feelings than any other. Similar to libra and gemini, pisces risings do their own form of shape-shifting. So, their duality can confuse many. They are the most sensitive and openly expressive of their emotions. They have a fascination with the outer world and high powers due to pisces being ruled by both neptune and jupiter, both planets for higher power and learning. Pisces tends to be the most selfless, also. A fault of theirs is potentially coming across overly vulnerable or fragile. They’re very empathetic and dreamy people.

7 Seconds To Say Yes

i was very emotional in making this and i tried to capture the overwhelming emotion in this through my writing, so here’s a nice fluffy one shot ;)

summary: the most important 7 seconds of dan’s life caught on camera

warning: g for gay, feels, maybe improper tenses as i usually write past tense and might have messed up whoops

genre: fluff

word count: 1,446

Sometimes people ask me if it’s weird to have so much of my life on the internet for everybody to see. I always say that I don’t mind, as some of my happiest moments have been documented for the internet to see, and I wouldn’t want to ever lose those moments. The internet has done so much for me, it’s only fair that I let people see into my glamorous life for a few minutes. Everybody eats the answer up, and, while it’s mostly true, that isn’t the reason that I don’t mind.

anonymous asked:

Could you explain a little bit more on why you think the JP fandom is focusing on the "look at me~" part of the drama instead of Chihoko stuff (what you mentioned in your ask abt the event). I'm just wondering what you mean about that, or if you could explain that part a bit better than it seems it was in the snippets we got from Twitter? Thank you for all you do :>

Hello! I think it’s a matter of wording… Like, some lines sound more impressive in Japanese. There are some parts I remember very clearly and some where I had forgotten the exact wording, but yesterday I could find a very complete and accurate Japanese report of the drama (to be honest I find it hard to believe that someone could have written such a perfect report by just taking notes on paper, but.. yeah…).

My impression is based on the fanarts/fancomics I’ve seen. Of course, I cannot possibly have seen each and every single fanart about the event, but for example let’s say that I’ve seen about 300 Japanese fanarts and 50 foreign fanarts (numbers are not exact but they are close to what I’ve seen so far). Out of all the Japanese ones, none of them used the line that in English has been translated by some as “I could search all over the world~”, while I’ve seen at least 5-7 foreign fanarts about it. That’s quite a difference. The reason is that this line doesn’t sound as “deep” in Japanese at all, so Japanese people don’t give it so much importance, it’s just Yuuri trying to convince Victor to get down.

Details and partial translations under the cut.

Secret Santa Gift EXCHANGE!

This is my secret santa gift for @pozolegirl

I was so excited when I got my assignment and it was for someone whose work I already knew and admired! I hope you like your gift!!

“So you were right.”

“Was I now?”

“Yes. Ladybug agreed that buying expensive jewelry for a girl you are not dating does, in fact, send mixed signals.” Chat sighed as he dropped down through the skylight and sprawled out against the bedding.

“I told you.” Marinette grinned smugly, not even bothering to look up at him from her desk.

“I can’t believe that you two are ganging up on me!” Chat whined, burying his face into her giant cat pillow.

“I can’t believe you talk about me to Ladybug.” Marinette laughed, her attention already back to whatever project she was currently working on.

“well, she doesn’t like it if I talk too much about my civilian life and you are my only other friend as Chat Noir.”

“I know but… never mind.” She shook her head softly, muttering something under her breath.

“So what sort of present do you want me to get you for Christmas?” Chat asked peering over the loft railing. She froze, her eyebrows furrowing. He grinned in anticipation.

“You already got me a present remember? The absurdly expensive piece of jewelry?” She finally looked up at him with an eyebrow raised challengingly.

“Yeah but you hated it.” He smirked.

“I did not hate it! I just thought a 295 Euro necklace was a little much for a just friends present.”

“Yes you made your feelings on that perfectly clear last time. The point is I need to get you a present that you actually appreciate getting.”

“I do appreciate it! I am literally wearing it right now!”

“That’s just cause you feel guilty. I will get you the perfect present. Just watch.”

Marinette groaned, pulling distractedly on her pigtails.

“Chat you are being ridiculous. You don’t need to get me another present.”

“What do you want?” he asked, grinning wider.

“I want you to not get me another present.”

“Try again. What do you want?”

“I’m not telling you,” she huffed.

“Fine. I have other ways of figuring things out. Just you wait Princess, I will get you the perfect Christmas present.” He stood up, giving her a jaunty salute as he pulled himself back up through the skylight.

“Chat!” She called after him.

He waited silently on her terrace, holding back the bubble of laughter in his chest. He could hear her shuffling around in the room, waiting to see if he would poke his head back in or if he had actually gone.

“Stupid cat,” she muttered finally.

Only then did he disappear into the night.

If you want to unstan...

I’ve seen many of you losing interest or more like beginning to change your stanning experience. When I first began to read things about the industry & stuff, I sort of got this discourage as well. It hurt me to know that my idols’ lives weren’t as real as I had in mind. But now, more woke than I could ever imagine, I realise… After all they’ve gone through, I admire them even more & how lucky, how truly lucky I got when these five ladies entered into my life.

They’re not robots. Yes, they’ve gone through things we would consider extremist & unrealistic but let me tell you something: We fell in love with 5 beautiful humans who grant us access to a little piece of their hearts in every interview, in every performance, in every snap story.

Just because their lives happen to be quite frenetic at times or happen to be quite hard to understand for us fans, doesn’t mean they feel any less, that they are any less normal. Well, in this latter, maybe I’m wrong… You know what? Forgot what I just said, they’re not normal, they’re exceptional.

“Not all heroes wear capes” As cliché as it may sound, it’s nothing else but the truth. The five of them have saved more lives than we could picture. They’ve helped so many souls out there (including mine) to heal whatever wounds we had, wounds crying out desperately for attention. To mend whatever broken piece we had inside, that kept on thickening the cut. They’ve been there every step of that unsteady path. Even if it’s them doing the dumbest video, while watching it you can’t fight that grin. You can’t even try, cause you know damn well won’t resist to those five goofy smiles . Camila was right, some people don’t understand one of the many meanings behind idolisation.

I Need You Close (Cassian Andor x Reader)

He needed someone to love, and so did you.

SPOILER FREE FIC (feat. brief angst but mostly fluffy fluff.)

“Well? Can you reprogram them?”

Cassian stood beside you, staring at a pile of Imperial droids. There were probably only three or four, but the way their gangly limbs tangled limply together made it seem like much more, and it was overwhelming. Cautiously, you approached them, and gave one a light tap with your foot for no reason at all.

“Possibly one. Maybe two. Not all of them. It’s going to take some trial and error to figure out how they tick.”

“Do you know how long it’ll take? This is a time sensitive matter.”

You turned to him and smiled. “It’s always a time sensitive matter, Captain. Give me a few hours to tinker around, and I’ll have a more definite answer by the end of the day.”

It was clear that your response wasn’t what he was looking for, but there was nothing that could be done to change it, and so, he gave you small nod. “I’ll come check up on you later.”

“Alright…and Captain,” you called out as he began to walk away. He stopped in his tracks and peered at you from over his shoulder. “Go to the medic and get that cut taken care of.”

Cassian furrowed his brow in confusion until you lightly tapped your temple. He brought his fingers up to the area on his own head and gingerly touched the wound, wincing slightly upon contact. It wasn’t anything too serious, but it was enough to require some sort of medical attention.

“Getting those droids wasn’t easy,” he replied hesitantly. It was the same tone of voice he used whenever someone was lost during a mission.

“Your efforts won’t go to waste.”

He looked as if he was going to reply, but strode out of the room, instead, leaving you alone with the droids and the guilt of not being upset over whoever it was that died, but rather, glad that it wasn’t him.
