you loki

I have a headcanon that once Loki and Steve hugged, & Loki was so comfortable/trusting that he accidentally slipped into his Jotun form - now Steve isn't usually scared of cold/water/ice but being surrounded by the sudden cold reminded him of crashing the plane, and Loki felt really bad afterwards SORRY THIS GOT SAD BUT PROMISE HAPPY ENDING so Loki is afraid to do it ever again but weeks later (it's summer) it's blazing hot and Steve can't take it anymore, so Loki just turns only his hand (1/2)

(2/2) and very gently, slowly places it on Steve’s forehead. From there they slowly work together on overcoming Steve’s PTSD, with Loki turning bits of himself to cold Jotun, and only when Steve is ready. (It’s not that Steve fears the sight of Jotun Loki – just the freezing implications). It takes a while, but Steve eventually warms up (ha) completely to Loki’s Jotun form. Next summer, it’s ridiculously sweltering. Steve hugs Loki and asks Loki to cool him down.

Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaah BLESS YOU ANON. I needed this.

And eeeee I have many thoughts and feels about Steve and Loki’s mutual cold-related trauma, and how that factors into Loki’s feelings toward his Jotun form. And I love this idea of it becoming a kind of exposure therapy tool – something that helps Steve heal instead of hurting him, which in turn allows Loki to be more accepting of that form, recognizing that it isn’t wholly bad and has its good sides. Healing for both of them!!

Also ngl, it’s hot as balls here right now, so I really want nice cool jotun snuggles now. ♥

Swan Song: Loki x Reader - Ch 21

Oh boy, almost to the last chapter I’ve written then I guess I have to work on this one again. Hmm…

Loki’s vehicle arrived at agent Romanoff’s hospital. He exited with a sigh and glanced around. Normally he looked forward to this. He was savoring the pain he would cause on this pathetic human for thinking she had bested him. He would still savor it, but he had a sense of unease, forced to leave you at home and unchecked on.

Tom Hiddleston lifting Ladies not so gently with only one arm

so I’m kind of a sucker for Redemption Equals Death because it’s sad and I’m a sucker for sad. but I also…idk, sometimes I wish it weren’t such an overwhelming trend, not only because All My Faves Wind Up Dead but also because…I want to see more villains actually going through the hard, messy work of redemption, that it can’t just be done and over with, that it’s not as simple as One Good Heroic Act and everything is better.

I want the awkward and painful and difficult aftermath.

like, what I really want is the villain seeking redemption who is genre savvy enough to go for a redemptive death, figuring that’s their best way out - and who survives, and has to live up to what they meant to be their last act.

rather than death as the end of a redemptive arc, near-death as the beginning of one.

Imagine you walk into a bar where Tom Hiddleston is and he sees you and walks up to you like in the gif.

Imagine: you find a beautiful cat, with glossy black fur and green eyes, on the street outside your home. You decide to make friends and let him in. He begins to live in your bedroom with you, and you grow quite attached; then one day, you come home from work, and your cat is gone- instead, a tall, dapper man with black hair and familiar green eyes is sitting on your bed, grinning hungrily at you.

Here’s the link to the one shot I wrote on this.
