Today’s featured hairstyles are the Sailor Moon-inspired hairstyles on Yoshiki Usui’s models in episode 150, Love Those Minis! The Fashionable Soldiers.

Yoshiki Usui is a famous fashion designer, but he has been going through a slump. He “discovers” Fish Eye walking down the street and begs him to model his clothes, exclaiming that Fish Eye’s gender does not even matter. Still, with Fish Eye as his muse his designs only seem to be getting worse, and he has hurt his partner in the process. After Fish Eye attacks him, he is saved by Sailor Moon and Chibi Moon and is struck by their fashionable appearances. In seeing them, he finally regains some inspiration and creates new designs for his next fashion show.

In his show, the main features are two girls that are done up to look quite a lot like Usagi– both with pigtails, though in slightly unique styles that differ from Usagi’s actual look.

The fact that he designs a wedding dress for Usagi (as is suggested by the fact that she had requested him to earlier, and the wedding dress shown is worn by one of the models done up to look like her) means that Usagi was able to inspire him in both of her forms. By simply exclaiming that she loves his clothes and hopes that he can regain his inspiration as Usagi, and by rescuing him as Sailor Moon, she really helped him to develop new ideas and learn to enjoy his trade once again.
