Collecting Tree Energy.

Taoist Masters observed that trees are tremendously powerful plants. Not only can they absorb carbon dioxide and transform it into oxygen, but they can also absorb negative forces and transform them into good Energy. Trees strongly root with the Earth, and the more rooted the tree, the higher it can extend to Heaven. Trees stand very still, absorbing the Earth’s Energy and the Universal Force from the Heavens. Trees and all plants have the ability to absorb the Light of the Energies and transform it into food; in fact, they depend on light for most of their nourishment, while water and earth minerals make up about 30% of their nutritional intake. Trees are able to live very long lives.

The Tree as Healer and Friend
Trees are the largest and most Spiritually advanced plants on Earth. They are constantly in Meditation, and Subtle Energy is their Natural Language. As your understanding of this language grows, you can begin to develop a relationship with them. They can help you open your Energy Channels and cultivate calm, presence, and vitality. You can reciprocate by helping them with their own blockages and devitalized areas. It is a mutually beneficial relationship that needs cultivation.

Choosing a Tree to Work With
Throughout history human beings have used all parts of the tree for Healing and Medicine. The best trees for Healing are big trees, especially pines. Pine trees radiate Chi, nourish blood, strengthen nervous systems, and contribute to long lives. They also nurture Souls and Spirits. Pines are the “Immortal Tree.” Early Chinese poetry and painting is full of admiration for pines. Although pine trees are often the best choice, many other trees or plants can be used. The larger trees contain the most Energy. Among the most powerful are trees growing near running water. Some trees feel warmer or hotter than others; some feel cooler or colder than others. Practice distinguishing the varying properties of different trees. You do not need to go far out into the forest to find an appropriate tree to work with. Trees that are used to having people around understand our Energy and are actually more accessible and friendly than those far out in the wilderness. There is a certain size range within which trees are most accessible to human beings. When a tree is too small, it does not have enough Energy to make much of an impression on you. When the tree is too big, you have the opposite problem, so it takes more persistence to get large trees to take an interest in you. As a source of Healing Energy, it is best to choose a large, robust tree from within the accessible size range.

Establishing Communion with a Tree
There are certain methods to approaching, interacting with, retreating from and taking leave of a tree. By following specific steps you create a Ritual of Silent Communion that both you and the tree can understand, and so increase the potential for Harmonious Interaction. The steps were derived from observation of the Natural course of events in Subtle Energy Communion, and apply to communion with just about anything: tree, rock, human, or animal, although the following is concerned specifically with trees. First of all, each tree, like each person, has a personality, desires, and a Life of its own. Trees differ widely in their taste for human contact. Some are very generous and want to give you all the Energy you can take. Others are weak or ill and need your comforting and Healing Energy. Some are just friendly Souls who enjoy human company. You can learn and grow by working with all of them. Trees operate on a longer time scale than do human beings. You can help to bridge this gap by returning again and again to the same tree, so that a relationship develops. Visit regularly so that the tree knows when to expect you and can look forward to seeing you. Spiritual communion with trees resembles love more than any other human activity. Let the tree lead you into the wonders of its own inner life.

The Pathway of the Two Serpents.

Gold Solar Serpent and the Black Lunar Serpent are alchemical opposites with different paths through the alchemical container of the body. When they meet, the Marriage of the Sun and the Moon takes place and this is when there is a possibility of immense energy. When the two serpents reach the crown, they become known as the Uraeus, which anoints the higher brain centres and leads to increased intelligence.

As they ascend, they crisscross one another to form nodes at each chakra, and magnetically energise them, as they go. The chakras spark into life as each one is touched in this alchemical weaving dance. In this way, with the interwoven pattern, the two serpents create what’s called the Central Column or Central Pillar. Eventually the two serpents reach the crown and then the hypothalamus, which is visualised as a Chalice.

Anahata Activation How To

Begin in a comfortable seated position in this case Padmasana (Lotus Pose) although Varjasana (Thunderbolt Pose) is a great option for beginners or those with difficultly sitting cross-legged.  

Take a few deep mindful breaths, breathing all they way down into your belly lengthening your spine fully expanding your lungs.  Gently float your ribcage up and away from your pelvis.  More seasoned Yogis and Yoginis can also add contracting Mula Bandha (Root Energy Lock) as well as Uddiyana Bandha (Abdominal Energy Lock) for even deeper results.  

On the next exhalation (Rechaka) bring your hands to Anahata Charkra (Heart Center) for Anjali Mudra (Prayer Pose)

  • On the inhalation (Puraka) sweep your hands apart blossoming your chest forward, letting your shoulders melt down your back.  Lift the chin up and away from the shoulders.  
  • On the exhalation sweep the hands forward until they are parallel reaching towards the front of your mat, curving the spine bringing your chin to your chest.
  • repeat.

This asana can be done at slowly with long breath cycles or at a faster pace. Allow your body to speak to you and you will find the rhythm of your flow.

Caution this may cause activation of the Anahata Chakra which can lead to universal love and compassion for all beings and nature.

Meditation - My personal mental workout

Ever wanted to try meditation but never been sure how to go about it? Follow this simple mental ‘workout’ to relax yourself when you’re stressed, help your mind wind down after a busy day, or send yourself off to sleep.

Really take your time with this. Set aside at least twenty minutes - if you find it’s over too quickly, you’re just going through the motions! Really focus on the images your mind creates, and let your body relax at a gentle, natural pace.

R E L A X

  • Lie down on your bed or sit cross-legged with your back against something solid and comfortable.
  • Start by taking long, deep breaths. Focus on your breathing, driving all other thoughts out of your head. If you feel your mind start to wander, gently return its attention to your breathing.
  • One breath at a time, relax the muscles in your body, starting with your head and working your way down. I prefer to lie down as then I can feel myself gently sinking into the bed, but do whichever is more relaxing for you. Really take your time with this - spend at least two or three minutes consciously relaxing your individual body parts, all the way down to each finger and toe.
  • Simply enjoy the weightless feeling of having let the stress out of your body for a few minutes. Meditation is about inner peace - enjoy the moment simply because you can.
  • With your eyes closed, visualise yourself standing under a waterfall of soft, blue light. With your mind’s eye, watch as it falls over your body, caressing it, enveloping it, and feel your muscles relax even more as it wraps around them. Really focus on the image of the light touching and surrounding each body part in turn, so that when it reaches your feet, you are surrounded in a safe, relaxed, beautiful blue aura.
  • Imagine that aura is real. You are actually glowing, on your bed or your floor or your chair. You are peaceful, and beautiful.

C H A K R A S

  • Gently allow the blue aura to fade into your skin, soaking it in like soil drinks up rain.
  • You are now going to visualise the chakra colours. Chakras are energy sources in your body, and they each need to be looked after and noticed, cleansed through tantric meditation.
  • Start with your head, which is white. You can either imagine a circle of colour that covers the body part, or actually imagine that body part turning that colour. Do whatever works best for you. Imagine the white for your head, and really focus on relaxing the muscles in your face. Stop clenching your jaw, loosen up that frown, stop squeezing your eyes shut. Your face is white, your face is smooth.
  • Next, your third eye, which is purple. This is in the centre of your forehead, but also concerns your brain. Feel your mind slowing as you visualise this dot of purple on your forehead, a portal to let all your stresses and worries pour out of.
  • Your throat is blue. Let your neck fall into a natural, unstrained position. Feel your breath coming up your throat in clear, slow breezes. If you suffer from neck pain, spend more time on this one.
  • Your chest is green, or light pink (whichever you prefer). Feel it rise and fall, feel your healthy heart beating within it. Let your shoulders sag and your spine relax. If you have breathing problems or chest pain, or heart burn, focus more on this chakra.
  • Your abdomen is yellow. Unclench the muscles there - if you work out a lot, focus on this one in particular for a few minutes.
  • Your stomach is orange. If you suffer from bad digestion, focus on this one. Imagine that orange light infusing into your digestive system, promoting a smooth and painless transition.
  • Your core (around your groin area) is red. Feel your hips and sexual organs turning that colour, feel the natural burn and throb, and then let the colour seep inwards, dulling the throb and letting peace wash over. If you struggle with your sexual health, focus on your core chakra.
  • Your hands and feet are white. Let the colour roll through your joints, loosening them up and smoothing out the knots.

M E R G E

  • Now visualise all your chakra colours merging together in your body. Watch as they swim together in a beautiful pallet, like acrylic paints mixing together. Take your time with this and enjoy the show.
  • The colours will now gradually become lighter and lighter, until eventually your whole body is glowing a perfect, pure, brilliant white. Bask in this purity as long as you like.
  • When you feel ready, let the light fade a bit at a time, seeping into your body and filling your veins with its purity. When the light is completely gone, simply enjoy how relaxed you feel, until you feel ready to finish the meditation.
