1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18
With the RAISE WORSHIP CONCERT coming up, I can’t help but include my thoughts on the concert’s anchor verse in my sentiments as a Youth for Christ. The anchor verse, in my own opinion, should what every person in this world put their hearts and minds into. We read or hear the news every day and these days, there are a lot of unpleasant things going on around the world. Wouldn’t it be nicer if people are “joyful always” and that they “pray at all times” and are always “thankful in all circumstances”?
As I’ve thought and thought about the verse, 1 Thessalonians 5: 16-18, I’ve come to conclude that joy, prayer and thanksgiving must come together. A prayerful heart is a joyful heart and a joyful heart is a prayerful heart. Without prayer, one struggles to be joyful and thankful because prayer is one of our weapons in protecting ourselves from Satan. Without prayer, we are vulnerable of negativity and evil thoughts and actions then joy disappears and thanksgiving ceases to exist in our hearts. It’s as simple as that.
We should all pray and make it our mission to bring this verse to the hearts of the people and may we also strive as well to be joyful always, to pray at all times and to be thankful in all circumstances.
