yes that is human skin

Thanks to Critical Role I’ve been hooked on D&D again and decided to revisit and revamp my tiefling rogue Kallista’s design.

Much happier with it now! (not that anyone besides my DM saw the original) Random facts about her:

-She wears everything she steals like a trophy

-She ran away from her clan at a young age and has no idea how to get back. Girly girl has no sense of direction.

-She wears a black feather from her clan at all times.

-Kallista is super vain and a notorious flirt, which makes a deadly combo.

Yes I know her skin should be red or human skin tones but I’d like to think she just has REALLY UNSATURATED red skin. Hair not final. Idk. It feels a little drow-ish?

chudley has been played on akinator 46 times and apparently the majority of people answer “yes” to the question “does your character have human skin”

does he? does he have human skin??? does chudley possess any human skin

Ahh hello I'd love to make my own koi-087.01 oc but I'm wondering if there are any specific "rules" that I need to follow ..?? Anyways i love rosemary!!

so, koi-087.01 is actually a planet (koi for short is good). the society of this planet collapsed two hundred years ago and many humans passed away due to corrupt power, war, and finally famine.

the humans who are still there often travel alone, living in overgrown and abandoned cities, surviving off the land. they’re not extremely lonely (internet’s still up and maintained pffft) but most live their lives out never seeing another human.

the main differences between normal humans and koi humans:

  • fertile skin (and yes, they totally will grow food on themselves)
  • lower saturation skin tones
  • hair tints to yellow and green rather than red
  • multiple eyes and cyclops, eyes are above the waist but theyre not limited to the face
  • freckles, rosacea, vitiligo, pimples, and other skin disorders are common, its very rare for them to have clear skin

Zelo: Would you date a robot? I’m not a robot, I’m just asking for a friend. I have skin.

Daehyun: Is it your own skin, though? As in, you grew it on your own body, from birth?

Zelo: This skin was grown, yes. On a human body. That is mine. I’m not a robot.

Jongup: Okay, okay, I’ll believe you. [holds up captcha] If you can first tell me what this says.

Zelo: I don’t need to prove myself to you! How dare you?! I love breathing oxygen!

  • Chiaki: reblog this if you would date a robot. I'm not a robot, I'm just asking for a friend. I have skin.
  • Nagito: is it your skin though? As in, it grew on your body since birth?
  • Chiaki: This skin was grown yes. On a human body. Which is mine. I'm not a robot.
  • Nagito: Alright, I'll believe you. If you can tell me what this says (Shows her a captcha code)

Fuck.

Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck. Fuck.

Again, that feeling of fight or flight compelled her whole body to make a decision. Claire could stay and face the biggest embarrassment she could think of, or turn on her heels and run away until the ocean opened its arms in front of her. And then, some swimming all the way to Canada. For a second she was about to fall into a fit of hysterical laughter, the same that had gripped her the first time she made an error as a surgical intern, nicking an artery and splashing her sneakers with three pints of blood. But back then she was only 25, and now she was… Older, at least, if not wiser. So she squared her shoulders and forced her face into a neutral mask of indifference.

Jesus, I suck at charades.

Zane had lost half of his face when he tried to help Kai escape (got knocked down by the others in the process by accident, which resulted in speeding up the procedure for turning as he did not know he’s a robot then).
And since the others were not very fond of repairing it properly, yes, it’d remained that way for a long time that the human skin would rapidly just fall off Zane’s face if hit by something over his head or his movement was too rough and too hard for the skin to stay touched.
But after all the mess? …They all have more things to deal with, other than his needed repairing (and the others did make some so called upgrade to his body when not being themselves, which would also need to be removed).
So many things need to be repaired that you don’t even know HOW.

Professor Moriarty:  Did you know that dust is largely composed of human skin?

Sherlock Holmes:  Yes…

Moriarty:  Doesn’t taste the same, though.  You want your skin fresh–just a little crispy.

Sherlock:  Won’t you sit down-

Moriarty:  That’s all people really are, you know?  Dust waiting to be distributed.  And it gets everywhere, doesn’t it?  Every breath you take  Dancing in every sunbeam. All used-up people

born
to the stars,
to the freedom of space
and to the loneliness
too.

radiation bright eyes and
a megawatt smile / a supernova in stasis;
eternally exploding, cascading light across
the horizon, watching darkness recede
as if the hounds of hell bite at its
heels as it runs, tail caught between
trembling legs.

he is a sun in human skin;
bright enough to blind, yes, bright
enough to ravage corneas and hearts alike,
but you have been on fire from the start
and the burning has always been worth it
(will always be worth it).

whomst the fuck decided that aliens are anthropomorphic like some asshole science fiction with no reference to how life would develop on other planets thought “hm yes aliens would look like humans except smaller with grey skin and larger eyes and we can almost be sure if they dont understand human spoken languages they can understand gestures like pointing”

“In some ways, artist Alexa Meade is a traditional figure painter. But she works on an unusual canvas: the actual human body. And she takes a classical concept — trompe l'oeil, the art of making a two-dimensional representation look three-dimensional — and turns it on its head. Her aim is to do the opposite, to collapse depth and make her living models into flat pictures.”

-PBS NewsHour

If these paintings will seem normal to you, watch them better. Yep. You could try to guess what makes these images so extraordinary, but I’m pretty sure you’ll be wrong. At first look, you might think that the style Alexa Meade, artist from Los Angeles, (brushstrokes thick and heavy, intense colors, lights and shadows exaggerated) is quite simple, even traditional.

But only until you realize that his painting breathes for real! Yes, Alexa Meade literally paints people !

The artist uses acrylic paints on human skin and creates his works of body art in such a way that the subject is two-dimensional, flat images against a background expressionist.

Impressive, amazing and astonishing. I love her works! Totally!!
