When you compete for something like a job or a feature in a fan project or idk volunteer camp chaperone or anything like that, and you get a rejection letter that says that “you weren’t picked but don’t take this as a commentary on your skill”
It’s a commentary on your skill.
For recruiters: just say “We’re sorry, you weren’t picked”. It’s all the information you need to relay. Anything more than that is unnecessary, and in this particular case, prompts the rejectee to ask: “if my skill wasn’t an issue as you say, what was the issue?”
And trust me, you don’t want to open that can of worms.
((It may be a while until I have the money to properly start on that head I want to make. So, until then, I might as well play with designs for the rest of the outfit. I’m not sold on purple boots, yet.))
