A/N: So I wrote it like Parrish was there when the Darach came the first time.
“Do you need a ride home?” Parrish asked as you walked out from your
dad’s office. You had spent your entire day there, being watched since your
brother thought the Darach would take you, since you were a virgin.
I’ve been seeing some discussion in past few days about how unrealistic it is that Bitty doesn’t hang out with other queer kids at Samwell, which is a valid point, and it reminded me I had a fic languishing in my drafts folder that involved an expanded look at the LGBTQIA group on campus, so I figured maybe the time had come to post it. It’s more about Dex than Bitty, because I started it as a response to the “Dex is homophobic” discourse, so this is from a “Dex has never been straight, he just doesn’t think it’s any of your business” perspective.
(It’s the beginning of a longer fic called “I Abhor You/I Adore You” that’s kind of an exercise in filling in all the gaps between the Nurseydex tweets and fleshing out the non-hockey parts of Samwell, but who knows if I’ll ever finish it.)
~4.5k, pre-slash Nurseydex, mostly Dex POV, guest appearances by Bitty, Holster, and a few OCs from the LGBTQIA group. Location of the IT helpdesk across the hall from the resource center entirely stolen from my own tiny liberal arts school, “the little gay college in the middle of Iowa.”
Dex got a job with the helpdesk
almost as soon as he got to campus. This wasn’t exactly normal for an unknown,
untested, untried, and undeclared first year student, but he had references
from his high school job and there was a constant shortage of people who
actually knew how to do anything with hardware.
Which, of course, was the thing most of the professors actually needed help
with. They weren’t actually receiving a lot of emergency Python coding calls;
they needed someone who could “make the goddamn printer talk to the computer”
without pissing anyone off by being too condescending.
He enjoyed it; compared to having
to do the same thing in a retail environment, this was downright relaxing, and
he at least had some confidence the people he was helping weren’t complete idiots. He could even leave
behind a Post-It of step-by-step instructions of how to fix the problem
themselves next time and have it be followed at least 50% of the time! Not to
mention his work-study hours as a student athlete were actually capped and
enforced so he wouldn’t work himself to death. So relaxing when compared to
high school, when he’d had to juggle IT work, lobster fishing, hockey, and
grades good enough to get some kind of scholarship.
Since he’d gotten to campus early
to start pre-season practice with the hockey team, he’d been able to establish
a work routine before adding in classes, which had been helpful. The CS classes
at Samwell were certainly more demanding, but that was why he was here, wasn’t
it? All in all, he was pretty satisfied with how things were shaping up. (Now
if only his d-partner weren’t such an entitled brat…)
Once the other students got back to
campus, it became clear the helpdesk office wasn’t the only thing housed in the
weird little building at the edge of campus. He was just ending a shift when a
girl stuck her head in the door. “Would it be possible to get some quick help
from anybody? It’s just across the hall.”
“I can do it,” Dex said. “I was
just about to leave anyway.”
“Thank you!” She led the way into
what appeared to be an all-purpose meeting room. The door now had a handmade
rainbow sign taped to it, proclaiming it the Stonewall Resource Center. “We’re
having our first meeting of the year tonight, and of course the one person who
remembers how to work the projector is on study abroad this semester.”
“No problem. You hooking it up to a
Dex walked over to the AV podium at
the front of the room and fished out the giant cluster of cables and dongles.
“Hopefully one of these will work, but we have adapters in the office for just
about anything. Bring it over.” A minute or so later, he had everything
“Thank you so much!”
“Sure. I mean, it’s my job anyway.”
“Do I need to file a ticket or
“Um, you’re welcome to stay for the
meeting if you want…”
“What’s it for? I mean, I can
guess, but your sign wasn’t even up when I came in at the beginning of my
shift, so, you know.”
“Yeah, basically it’s just a beginning
of the year informational meeting for students about LGBTQIA resources on campus
and a way to get those of us who are returning students to get started
organizing other events. So maybe not super interesting.”
“No, it sounds like good
information to have. I’ll stick around.”
She smiled at him. “Great! I’m
“Will. Or Dex. I answer to either.”
“Nice to meet you.”
“So do you think you’ll come back?”
Sam asked after the meeting was over. Dex had stayed to help her turn off the
projector and leave a sticky note with the steps written down. (He was thinking
about getting a set custom-printed with “Helping You Help Yourself!” across the
bottom, though he suspected his boss would find this too snarky.)
“Probably not. I mean, not to
regular meetings or anything—you can totally ask me for help anytime! I’m just
kind of… past the place where I need this kind of group? And I’ve got hockey
practice and CS classes that are kind of the point of my being here, so they
take priority, you know?”
“But you know where to find me!
Seriously, I’m always happy to help. It looks like a great group. But I know I
can’t commit to anything.”
“Cool. I’ll see you around then,
yeah? Oh, hey, if you have any time on Friday, you should come to the softball
game. We’re gonna slay.”
Dex grinned and offered his fist
for a bump of solidarity. “You’ll have to come to a hockey game once the season
A/N: So here it finally is, a Theo Raeken smut based on the request above. Sorry it took me so long to post it. I’m not sure how I feel about this one but I hope you guys like it. Also sorry in advance for any spelling/grammar mistakes, I still have to proofread it.(:
Finally, a part 2! I’d been planning this for a while, but with all the requests i’ve received it’s been hard to do so. But here I am, and maybe this will become a series? I’m not sure, depends if you guys requests so!
Imagine Prompt: can i request a oneshot please? id like one where you and bellamy secretly like each other but you two are really sarcastic and you fight a lot and one day you two were on a mission and they had to sleep next to each other in a cave and bellamy surprise the reader by putting his arms around her in his sleep and spooning her. just this with a lot of sass and sarcasm, please? thank you :)
Warning: none. kind of…
When you woke up, you felt oddly warm. A sense of safety flushed through you and you couldn’t quite figure out why. There was a body next to yours, and as you blinked in the brightness of the sun that surrounded the cave and blinked away the blurriness, you began to try and move only to find you couldn’t.
Strong arms wrapped around your waist, tight and protective to the point you couldn’t move. You furrowed your brows, still slightly asleep as you tried to pin who exactly was with you. You hadn’t had anyone on ground and you definitely wouldn’t sleep with someone on a… one.. night stand.
“You wouldn’t be just a one night stand.”
Bellamy’s words echoed through, the memories of last night flashing through as you became wide awake. You snapped up, forcefully ripping Bellamy’s arms of from around you. You heard him moan in shock as he too woke up. Shy and bashful, you hugged yourself as Bellamy groaned awake and sat up next to you.
What would you say? Everything that had happened last night was something you’d never expected. And despite how hard you tried to push down the secret feelings you’d developed for the boy, they were there and they only increased after the events of last night. But there was no way Bellamy would like you back, which was why you’d never acted on those feelings.
“You wouldn’t be just a one night stand.”
Or would he?
“Uh, good morning.” Bellamy’s deep voice echoed around you and you felt your muscles tense. Was he going to act like none of this had ever happened? But, maybe that would be best. You didn’t think you’d be able to confront him or your feelings, so maybe acting as if none of it happened would be okay.
Standing up, you murmured a good morning. Ignoring the feel of his eyes lingering on you as you walked to the opening of the cave and stepped out. You let your eyes wander over the sunshine that no shun brightly and the warmth you could now bask in. Turning back into the cave you quickly began packing up your things. “The fogs gone, we should head back to camp. People are probably starting to worry.”
Bellamy said nothing but let his gaze linger on you a moment longer, before he too began to pack up. The walk back to camp was silent, and long. Even after an hour, which felt like you should’ve reached camp by now, you were still an hours walk away. And the silence was agonizingly painful as well as awkward. It almost felt as if you were alone, because of the dead silence, if you could miss the awkward stares and bumps of the shoulders.
Eventually, a short half n hour later (so they were only a half n hour away) you’d gotten tired of walking and leaned against a tree. Huffing in tiredness, and rubbing your feet in pain. Normally you wouldn’t be so whiny, but you hadn’t had to walk this long in a long time, seeing as before this you’d never been allowed out of camp.
You heard a huff of annoyance from behind you, but you chose to ignore it. Figuring Bellamy had been just as tired as you, and was annoyed by it. But you were hugely mistaken, when he began speaking. “Really, Y/N?” He snapped.
With narrowed eyes, you looked over at him shaking your head. “Really what?”
“You need to stop right now. We are almost back to camp and the sooner the better.”
Your jaw opened in bafflement and with a huff, you let your foot fall and you slipped back on your shoe. You turned to him, crossing your arms over your chest as you glared at him. “Yeah, I did need to stop. I wasn’t the one who asked you to come on this damn mission, that had been an absolute fail by the way. And i’m tired, and i’m sick of being near you.” Suddenly, all your pent up feelings came pouring out at his complete ignorance to your side of things. You tried to tell yourself to remain calm, and reason things out, but your irrational side got the better of you.
“You should know by now that I take whatever lead I get and that when we go out, we do what needs to be done and get back. There isn’t time for resting!” He practically yelled.
“No, actually, I wouldn’t know.” You reprimanded. “I wouldn’t because ever since we landed down here, you haven’t let me step one foot out of that camp. God knows why.”
He stayed silent for a while, both of you wondering what had started this fight and why it’d become so tense. It was a stupid thing to argue over, and the both of you knew, but for some reason every angry thought came to your mind, whether it had to do with Bellamy or not, and you couldn’t control yourself.
“Sorry for caring.” Bellamy spat.
Your eyes widened and you let out a dry laugh, “care? Since we landed you’ve been treating me as if i’m an annoyance. Why care about a pestering princess right?”
“You are an annoyance!” He yelled, despite himself. And with shock, you took a step back. Not quite expecting such harsh words to come out of his mouth, you opened your mouth to say something but came out empty. You picked up your backpack, not quite sure what to do. “Wait, Y/N…” Bellamy tried but you interrupted him.
“No, uh, it’s okay.” You whispered, staring at the ground. “I get it. I don’t know why I ever thought that… we… no, sorry.” You let the words slip out before you ran off. Your feet carrying you faster than you ever thought they could, and before you knew it you’d ran so far that you didn’t know where you were. You’d never been in these woods before and without a tracker, you found yourself lost. The world spun around you as you tried to figure out where you were.
Bellamy huffed, after walking around searching for you, and not able to find you, he figured you’d gone back home. He was worried and regretted all the words he said, because in the moment he hadn’t meant any of it. He’d just been frustrated that the two of you hadn’t discussed what had happened the night before.
You’d been ignoring his advances and gazes, he’d become frustrated with you to the point he became irrational.
Letting out a deep breath, he signalled to be let in and walked through. His eyes already searching for you, and expecting to see you walk up to him with a stomp to your step. Only you never came, and instead in your place Clarke came up. Seemingly relieved to see Bellamy standing there.
Her eyes searched around him, and he blinked in confusion. “Bellamy! I’m so glad you’re okay!” She said once she reached him, smiling up him. Bellamy smiled at her shortly, his eyes going past her for you. His heart began to race when you never showed up.
“Where’s Y/N?” Immediately, Bellamy snapped his eyes down to Clarke. His heart picking up in fear as he stared baffled down at Clarke.
“What do you mean where is she? She’s not here?” Bellamy asked in a panicked rush.
Clarke furrowed her brows, shaking her head. “No, the last time she was here was when she left with you yesterday.” She explained, her face contorting in concern. “What happened Bellamy? Where is Y/N?”
At the frantic mention of your name, a crowd of your friends had gathered. All staring at Bellamy expectantly as he stared at the ground in pure fear. How could he had been so stupid? Letting you go over a stupid fight like that.
“Bellamy, where’s Y/N?” Jasper piped up, coming to stand next to Bellamy.
“We were out, but then I got in such a stupid fight with her.” He said, his voice deep as he blamed himself. “She ran off, and I searched for her but I figured she’d headed off back here.”
Clarke’s eyes widened with realization. “Bellamy she’s never been out of-”
“Out of camp before.” He finished, nodding. “I know.” Nodding to himself, he grabbed his gun and began marching towards the gates.
I’m never gonna be over homestuck guys, it’s good & I genuinely love it which is fine and all but I need to work in 6 hours and I’m supposed to be going to a pride thing after that and its gonna be a long and busy day and my brain is doing the thing where it likes the thing too much to rest
can’t believe homestuck is ruining my life this way in the year of our lord 2017
So, I won’t be active properly until July. This month I have my final exams for high school (my bac) and I really shouldn’t have procrastinated a whole year lol. Oops. Anyway, I won’t be reblogging or posting anything (I will like things tho mostly from my phone from time to time and answer messages).
It was not the first time he has acted like an asshole for absolutely no reason at all. He used to do that all the time, but most of the times all I did was to ignore it and continue doing my thing. Ever since the band has taken off and started to get pretty significant places in the music industry his Attitude has been slowly changing and going in steps, first his assistants, then most of his managers, going all the way up to some of his family members and in the last two weeks, me.
Of course, I blame his fame, the stress and pressure of social media combined it made his entire personality changed drastically, or how other people would consider the right name for it, the fame got to his head, and it was starting to bother me, not in a soft or good way.
It was completely true that at this point it was starting to turn completely annoying but today was going to be what hopefully would be what fixed his mind and he would be the same Ashton he used to be. His birthday was finally here, and I knew he has been waiting for it for quite a while. 23 years seemed like a lifetime, and he had many good years to go. Everything was already planned out, I’ve been doing it for the past weeks and everything will be just perfect.
The alarm started ringing at 9 o'clock like every morning, and Ashton was annoyed by it the moment he heard it. Not opening his eyes but trying to reach for it with his hand, while I moved on the bed and reached it myself, turning it down and moving a bit closer to him. Giving him a hug.
“Do you really had to turn that thing on today?” He groans, pressing his eyes together even more. “For god’s sake, I’m very hungover (Y/n)”
I frown and ignore his annoyance, cuddling closing to him and hopefully making him feel a little better.
“I’m sorry” I pout and kiss his cheek “it’s your birthday!” I cheer in a soft voice “Happy birthday love”
He turns around and smiles a little, leaning up and pecking my lips “thanks, baby” he says leaning back on the bed “I’m old”
“Yeah, you need to stop growing” I joke “you’re closer and closer to your 30’s everytime” I say “stop it”
he chuckles “i wish i could” he says, rubbing his face with his hand “Okay i’m up now”
“Good” i smile to him and sit on the bed “How do you feel?”
“Old and hungover” he jokes he blindly looks for my hand under the sheets and takes it, so i pull him over a little so he could take a seat beside me “Hey, where’s my birthday kiss?”
i smile and lean a little bit pressing our lips together and giving him a nice morning kiss “Happy birthday” i mumble “I love you”
“Thanks babe, i love you too” he says “You look happy” he comments with a smile
“i am happy” i say with a proud smile “My baby is turning 23, I’m really happy”
he leans over pressing our lips together. “and i like that you are happy” he mumbles.
“It’s gonna be a fun day, i promise” i state. it was definitely going to be an interesting day.
It took me a while to figure it out to find the right outfit for today, also it took me a little bit to figure myself out, i was very very excited with all the surprises i had for him today, i couldn’t wait to see his face when he knew.
I had the entire day already planned for us, he is been working non-stop lately and barely had time for anything during the day, that’s why i decided to take him out to his favorite restaurant and buy him a nice meal to then take him to a really beautiful park i found not long ago and then at night, i had a big and awesome surprise party planned for him, it took some time but everything is going to be perfect and i will make sure nothing goes wrong.
I fix my dress before checking myself in the mirror one last time, i head out of the bedroom and walk downstairs. i hear him on the phone laughing and throwing out a repetitive conversation that he had already had various times today but still he was happy to do it.
“Thanks man! thank you very much” he smiles and turns to look at me, giving me a smile “When is it? oh…” he says, i see him extend his arm, silently telling me to come by his side and i do.
he slides his arm around my waist and pulls me closer to him, making me sit on his lap while he continued his phone call.
“Where?” he asks “oh great” he says after the other person on the phone gives a couple of words “I’ll be here then… oh well, it’s not a problem at all, see you later then” he says
He hangs the call, i look at him with a curious smile and kiss him cheek “What’s up?”
he shakes his head and smiles at me “Nothing much” he smiles “You look beautiful”
i smile “Thanks” i say “Who was it on the phone?” i ask curiously leading hand to his curl and caressing them
“oh it was Jeff, remember him? the one who does comedy stuff…” he says
i nod and smile “of course”
“Well” he starts “he and his girlfriend just told me that they are going to this really awesome festival and they told me I could come along, the guys are coming too! it’s great!”
i gasp and smile, i have never been to a festival, i heard it is really fun “Wow! that’s so cool at what time are we going?” i ask happily
“um, well, It’s kind of me going because…There’s just one ticket”
“Are you serious?” I say on a very quiet and surprised one “Are you fucking serious?” I ask again with a hint of anger in my voice.
“What?” he says like it was nothing “I’m going out with my friends on my birthday, what’s the matter?”
I can not believe him “You are going out with your friends to a festival when i was planning on taking you somewhere really nice” i repeat the situation to myself “you know? i don’t mind the fact you are doing that, but i do mind that you aren’t even going to try to take me with you”
“Ugh (Y/n), don’t be dramatic” he rolls his eyes at me. “it’s not my fault”
“I am not being dramatic! i am just saying, you’re totally excluding me and i am your girlfriend” i fight, now being totally angry “that totally shows how much you want me there for you” i say sarcastically.
“It’s not my fault! i wasn’t the one planning this shit, don’t blame me” he yells and turns around getting up from the couch and moving me aside “you are not the only one who is not going, Mitchy isn’t going either”
“Well, Mitchy has a ton of other things to do lately, it’s obvious he is not going!” i say still not believing any of this “i bet even your freaking ex-girlfriend is going” i groan
“yeah, So what?” he says annoyed
“She’s a bitch!” i yell, it was obvious “She made out with literally 5 guys on the same night! and 2 of them being our friends”
“it’s her business” he says rolling his eyes
“i know, but i don’t want her being all over you” i roll my eyes.
“What does that has to do with anything?” he says being very annoyed at me. “Look if you are really going to act like a brat because there is only one ticket for a festival and i am the one being invited, please at least do it behind my fucking back because i really don’t wanna hear it” he spats at me
my mouth widens and barely any words come out of my mouth. “Excuse me?” i say being very offended “I am not acting like a brat, Ashton, please understand, i don’t care you are going out with your friends! but i had something special planned for you and you are ditching me right now and you don’t even care, I really wanted to spend the day with you”
he rolls his eyes “You know? you don’t have to be around me all the damn time” he says, his words hit me like knives “i have a life and friends, i don’t need a clingy girlfriend”
“Maybe you shouldn’t have one then” i fight being too mad to even think about anything.
“Fine” he says shrugging and walking over to the front door, picking up his jacket and belongings on the way.
“Fine” i repeat.
“Fine!” he yells getting out of the house, the door blasting behind him.
Oh shit, was this a breakup? Are we over? What is this?
i am so screwed. i am very screwed.
“Are you sure about this?” i hear Luke’s voice over the phone, the music blasting behind him but sounding muffled by some kind of barrier. “He sounded pretty serious of you guys being over or something, he’s mad”
i sigh. i have been crying like an idiot the entire day because of the events, but it wasn’t time to back up. “I am sure” i speak softly holding my phone close to my ear “Yeah sure we said some things but I’ve been planning this party for weeks and i mean… it’s his birthday” i say shyly
“I don’t know…” he says doubting a little.
“Please Luke” i whine already starting to be desperate “Just convince everyone to come to The Nice guy and call me 5 minutes before you get here, piece of cake”
he chuckles “He is very mad at you, you know?”
i sigh. i didn’t want to remember any of these, it was hard already the fact that i was single but the fact that i still loved him and i was hurt, it’s still his birthday i still want to do something nice to him. “I know” i mumble trying to evict any tears to come out. "I still want him to have a nice birthday though after I got on his nerves, I just… want him to have a little fun tonight"
I swear I could almost hear him thinking from here and all I wanted is to give him a big hug after his words “We’ll be out of in 30” he says “I will call you when we are two block away from the place”
“Oh my god” I breath “thanks, thank you Luke” I say letting out a laugh of joy “thank you, thank you”
“No problem” he says kindly “see you there then” and hangs up the call
No words can explain how happy i was when he finally accepted. At the same time I was a bit scared, even though today’s fight between Ashton and I wasn’t our biggest fight, I ended up bad for us, he claimed to be ‘fine’ with our break up which now makes me wonder If he really meant it or not. I really hope not, it would be so heartbreaking to end things with him, he’s been by my side for a while now.
i walk out of the bathroom and look around trying to find Mitchy somewhere, i dont take long to find him, he was right in the same spot where i told him to wait for me.
“Hey” i say smiling and touching his shoulder.
“Hi, how did it go?” he asks
“it was good, they are coming in about 30 minutes” i say smiling.
he nods “Great, are you nervous?” he asks me curiously
“Very” I say biting on my lip as a nervous habit “What if we are actually not together anymore?” I say being really nervous
He shakes his head “After all of these years? Cmon (Y/n) I don’t think he’s gonna end things with you over a stupid fight” he assures being really confident "now cmon, cheer up a little, don’t think too much, have a drink and relax”
I sigh and nod “thanks Mitch, I really needed a bit of support”
He smiles at me “no problem, that’s what friends are for” he says leaning a bit, kissing my cheek softly and walking back “I’ll get you a drink”
i thank him as he walks away from me. i was truly nervous for this, that fear of actually being single and losing the one i love was killing me inside, but it hurt me more and more everytime i think about it, by this time he could be cheating on me with some chick on that festival not even remembering that i exist, or he could be getting completely drunk and trying to convince one of his friends to let him stay at one of their places to not see me anymore. i really am hoping i am wrong and it is just me over thinking every single thing.
the minutes seem like hours and by the time the 30 minutes have passed i was already done with 3 of my drinks, being a bit tipsy by now. I didn’t want to speak to anyone on the party i was too nervous thinking on what to say when he gets here.
my phone vibrates on my little purse and i instantly pick it up.
“Talk to me” i say on a weird desperate voice.
“We are two blocks away” Luke voice says “Ash is on the other car so he has no idea”
i nod and mumble “Okay” hanging the call-up. running through the crowd making a weird motion with my hand trying to get the DJ’s attention, he already knew what to do.
the guy behind the panel stops the music when he sees and understands what i am trying to say “Alright everyone, the Birthday guy is almost here, turn off the lights and quiet down, this is a surprise party”
I manage to get on the front of the crowd while everyone gathered at the front door waiting for the guys to come from that door. at this moment I was very anxious and my hands were sweating like crazy, also the alcohol in my body was starting to make an effect on me I was hoping it didn’t made me say stupid things later. Before I could even notice, the lights were turned down and the room was completely silent waiting for the birthday boy.
I see people walking to the entrance and crossing the door. I see Luke’s face and then Ashton’s, he looks chill, the moment he crosses the door the lights are turned on and confetti falls off the ceiling while everyone yelled. “SURPRISE!”
His face was blank and at first he seemed confused by all of these people staring at him. He smiles and laughs seeing all of those familiar faces of his friends.
“Oh my god” he says, some of his friends walk up to him and give him hugs “thank you guys, who did all of this? Wow”
Mitch goes and gives him a hug. “All thanks to your girlfriend buddy”
“You did all of this?” He says being very surprised. His mouth being wide open.
I shyly smile looking down “I did” i shrug “it was a real trouble to manage getting the place, food, and everything but I did it!”
I say being excited on my last phrase “surprise” I add and smile to him.
His look soften and he walks up to me, not touching me but holding a straight look at me while I desperately waited for his next words. “You didn’t have to” he said looking around and then looking back at me, he seems to be unsure on if he should take my hands or not but he does anyways. Holding them tightly between his. “I feel really bad- you didn’t have to”
“I-It’s okay I don’t-” I stutter.
“No, (Y/n), Listen” he interrupts me “I feel bad, back at home I acted like a douche and you still managed to do all of this for my birthday-”
“I wanted you to have a birthday party” I say shyly
“I am so sorry” he says in sincere words “What we said bad there, I really don’t want us to break up and I am so sorry I excluded you” he explains “I feel
Awful and I really want to make it up to you, okay?”
I smile a little, those words were music to my ears “thank you” I say smiling and hug him. For the first time in the entire day being able to hold him this close to me “I am sorry too”
“No, love, you don’t have to be sorry” he mumbles kissing my forehead “I am sorry it won’t happen again”
He holds me in his arm and he stay silent for a couple of minutes enjoying each other’s company, no one came over to interrupt us and that was just perfect. After this awful day of overthinking and worrying, he was finally here and we were fine, just fine.
“I really don’t deserve you” he mumbles close to my ear.
I put my hand on his chest and move him back a little. “What?” I say not understanding.
“I don’t deserve you” he repeats “you do all these nice things to me, and I treat you like… like I did before. I really don’t deserve you, you’re too good for me”
I shrug and shake my head “Ashton no..”
“It’s true” he says
“Maybe a little but listen, I love you, okay?, you work a lot and you stress, I know you might have changed because of that, but you are the same Ashton and I love you” I say to him taking his head in my hands and placing a kiss on his lips “I love you”
He smiles a little and kiss me back, I could almost feel how our relationship was getting better and better. That’s all I needed.
“How do you do it?” He ask when we finally separate from the kiss
“Do what?” I ask chuckling a bit.
“Just…Deal with my shit, how do you do that?” He asks shaking his head acting like he could not believe me.
“Ash” I say taking his face in my hands “You are the best human being I have ever meet and I don’t care how many times we fight, I still love you so much” I say speaking very clearly
This is for @ohbelieveyoume, you’re such a good mom! I thought you could take care of Rafi too! I hope you and your little one feel better soon!
It had been a busy morning at work, but you were finally done. Thanking your lucky stars that it was a half day, you walked out of the office. Taking your phone out of your bag, you looked down at the notifications; 5 missed calls from Carmen! You panicked and almost dropped your phone.
Why was Carmen calling you repeatedly?
With shaking hands, you hit the “call back” button and waited anxiously for an answer.
“ADA Barba’s office, Carmen speaking, how may I help you?”
“Oh thank God, you need to come down here right now!” Carmen sounded relieved to hear your voice, not worried, not that this abated your fears.
“Why? What…Is Rafael okay?”
“Right now, it’s not him I’m worried about!”
“What is that supposed to mean?”
“Have you seen him today?”
“It would be great if you could come and take him home.”
“Carmen, do you think you could be a little bit more specific about what is going on?”
“Your boyfriend is sick and is terrorizing everyone in the office. Specific enough for you? He is yelling at the interns, he made one of them cry! The paralegals are nowhere to be seen. And if I catch whatever he has, I’m holding you personally responsible. Now could you please come and deal with this?” Carmen said all of this in a fierce whisper.
'I should have come earlier, but there was this meeting and…’ he sighed. 'Do you need anything?’
'How can I help you, love?’
'Stop talking and lay with me here’ you said and raised the sheets so he could crawl under them. As soon as he was lying next to you, you snuggled up to him. A smile slowly appeared on his face. When your breath became slower and you fell asleep he laid a kiss on your forehead.

Author’s note: First imagine. The fact that I can even put “author’s note” is weird to me. I draw art, I don’t write it. Any who, constructive criticism would be appreciated. This seems like the perfect time for one of my favorite quotes: “Keep in mind that I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my s#!t.” Please be gentle with me on this.
Great day to post since it’s Teen Wolf Tuesday and Valentine’s Day
It was Wednesday evening and you were
sitting with your boyfriend Isaac on the porch swing in your backyard. A light
breeze came through and blew your hair in the wind. The sky was turning pink
while the sun began setting. Your legs were curled under you while you were
leaning against Isaac. He had his arm wrapped around you while he kept the
porch swing swaying back and forth with his long legs.
You turned to the handsome werewolf next
to you grinning. “What?” Isaac said as he smirked back at you.
“Wanna hear a joke?”
“Not really, but I know you’re going to
tell it to me anyway”
“Yup.” You smiled back at him excitedly.
Your jokes were lame and corny, but that’s what you loved about them. “What do
you call the security guards outside Samsung stores?”
“I don’t know, what?”
“Guardians of the Galaxy!” You said
laughing at your own joke. Isaac just looked at you with a small smile.
can u do one where josh is away on tour but ty calls u because josh is sad and u liek drive out or something to make sure he's ok? thnaks love ur writing <33
JOSH DUN IMAGINE
You groaned as your alarm went off on the bed side table. You slung your arm over lazily, sitting up. You really needed to start going to bed earlier-
Your eyes narrowed in on the clock as it read half past two.
Your alarm wasn’t set to go off for five more hours.
Then you saw the name flashing across your screen. Why the hell was Josh calling you this late? Your throat tightened as you answered cautiously.
“Hello?” your voice was raw from sleeping.
No one responds, and at first you think he’s just pocket-dialed you, but then you hear the choppy breathe and your heart immediately sinks.
“Josh?” you say softly.
“I’m sorry-“ he chokes, his voice a whisper. “I know it’s late, I didn’t mean to wake you up, but-“ he sighs heavily, “It won’t stop, Y/N. It won’t go away.”
You sit up, full panic because you knew.
“Breathe“ you say immediately.
You hear Josh inhale sharply, but his exhale is interrupted by a sob.
“I can’t,” he hiccups, “Y/N, I can’t breathe-“
Tears are immediately falling down your cheeks. Your chest aches for him. You wanted to hold him, tell him it would be okay. You longed to stroke his hair, press his forehead against yours, cry with him until he fell asleep.
But you were hours away. They’d be home in three days. You wished he could’ve held off until then.
You bit your lip sharply, trying to think of something you could say to make it all stop.
“You can, Josh. Just breathe, you can do it,” you instructed.
You contradict yourself and hold your own breath, as you listen to him through the line.
Josh finally gets his breathing under control before sighing, “It’s getting bad, Y/N. I can’t make it stop.”
You squeezed your eyes shut and try to make your voice sound normal. “I know,” it’s deep and unnatural sounding, “I know, it’ll be okay though. It’ll all be fine, I promise.”
“Yeah?” you ask.
“Thank you,” Josh breathes.
You smile slightly. “Anything for you.”
Josh finally falls asleep around 3. You only hang up after his breathing has steadied and you know he’s resting peacefully.
Even with that comfort, you can’t sleep yourself. Your stomach is in knots just thinking of him being in so much pain, so far away. You hurt the rest of the night for him.
The day drags. You’re a walking zombie, exhausted and mentally so far away from reality. You sigh in relief when four o’clock comes and you’re finally free to head home. You imagine your bed. Cozy and warm and ready to be slept in. You’d skip dinner. You didn’t even care. All you needed was sleep.
You pulled your phone out as you walked to your car.
You narrowed your eyes in on the four missed calls from Tyler, all within the hour.
Your tired eyes suddenly didn’t feel so heavy.
You dialed him back quickly.
“Ty?” you say as soon as he picks up.
“Y/N,” he says urgently.
“What’s up?” your voice was full of worry.
“It’s Josh-He’s freaking out.”
“What do you mean “freaking out”?”
“Won’t come out of his bunk- says he doesn’t want to perform anymore. He said it’s too much, said he can’t do it- I don’t know what to do, Y/N, he’s really freaking me out-”
“I’m on my way,” you blurt out, not thinking twice.
“I’m on my way, I can get there in like three hours, okay?”
“Y/N, are you sure?” Tyler asks.
“Yeah, he needs me, I’m coming.”
You didn’t bother stopping at home first. That would only delay you all the more. Instead, you filled up your gas tank and made a straight shot to Detroit, navigating the venue with your GPS.
When you were about half an hour away, you called Tyler up again, reminding him to let security know you were coming. He said he would, before giving you a quick update on Josh. He still hadn’t left the bus. You cringed just imagining how much pain he was in.
You pressed down harder on the gas pedal.
Finally, you found yourself pulling into the already-crowded venue. It was seven o’clock, the show should be starting in an hour. You doubted that would be happening, though.
Security stopped you, of course.
“It’s important-“ you protested.
“I need to see a pass,” the man stated.
“I don’t have a pass,” you whined, pulling your phone out. You dialed Tyler quickly. “I’m with the band!” you said desperately, before realizing how cliche that sounded.
“Y/N, where are you?” Tyler answered quickly.
“Come get me, security won’t let me through,” you said impatiently.
“Damnit,” he groaned, “I’m on my way.”
Sure enough, moments later, Tyler’s clambering off the tour bus and waving you through.
“Good?” you asked the man.
He nodded, clearly still surveying the whole situation.
You didn’t stick around for him to change his mind. Instead, you bolted towards the tour bus.
“Where is he?” you asked, brushing a loose strand of hair out of your face.
“He’s on the couch out back. Pulled the curtain, he keeps yelling at anyone that tries to go in.”
You nod, cautiously making your way onto the bus. You see the dark curtain drawn and pause. Maybe Josh wanted to be alone. Maybe he’ll find it super invasive that you drove all this way. Maybe he doesn’t want you here.
You swallow your insecurities and slowly pull the fabric around so you can fit through.
Your heart sinks when you see him, curled up on the couch, his back facing you. His head is resting on the leather, his arms crossed tightly across his body.
You walk over instantly, wanting nothing more than to cradle him against your chest like a child and rock all his pain away. But you hesitate.
Josh hears your footsteps and groans. “Go away,”
“Please don’t make me drive all the way home this soon,” you say quietly.
Josh’s head snaps to the side upon hearing your voice.
“Y/N,” is all he says.
“Hey Josh,” you whisper back.
“What’re you doing here?”
“Ty called me,” you explained, “said you were having a hard time.”
He nods slowly, his puffy red eyes never leaving yours.
“Why didn’t you call me again?”
“Didn’t want to bother you,” he says quietly.
“You could never bother me,” you say, “it’s physically impossible.”
His face scrunched suddenly and his eyes start to glisten with tears.
You break the gap between you immediately, folding into his side on the couch and wrapping your arms around him. Josh instantly hugs you back, clinging to you like his life depended on it. A few tears turned into heavy sobs and you couldn’t do anything but hold him.
Your stomach hurt, hearing his cries and knowing that you couldn’t take the pain away. You rested your chin on his shoulder, stroking his back softly and whispering in his ear.
“It’s okay, it’s okay, I’m here. I’m right here.”
“Make it stop-“ Josh says. His voice was all blubbery and full of pain.
You squeezed your eyes shut, wishing more than anything that you could.
But you couldn’t, so you sat with it, listening to the broken sounds of a broken boy.
After Josh’s sobs had finally subsided, he pulled back slightly, “I’m so sorry-“ he hiccuped.
“No-‘ you protested, “No it’s okay, you’re allowed to feel all this, it’s okay-“
He’s shaking his head and wiping his eyes, clearly embarrassed, “I can’t do it- I can’t play tonight, I’m sorry.”
You nod, “That’s okay, Josh. I’ll tell Tyler. You don’t have to play tonight.”
He nods slowly, letting out a sigh of relief. His head falls back against the couch and he closes his eyes.
“I’m gonna go tell him,” you whisper, getting up and leaving the room.
Tyler is waiting outside the tour bus, chewing furiously on his nails.
“What happened?” he asks immediately jumping towards you.
“He can’t play tonight,” you state.
“What?” Tyler asks in disbelief. He’s clearly distressed. “What about the show?”
“Ty-“ you say, “He’s not okay right now. His mental health is way more important than this show.”
Tyler sighs, closing his eyes, tilting his head back and nodding. “You’re right,” he finally says. “I’ll go take care of it. You stay with him, yeah?”
You nod, “Of course.”
Josh is in a deep sleep by the time you’re back. His chin is nuzzled against the crook of his shoulder, his neck bent and looking like it might be sore in the morning if he stayed in that position too long. You sigh a breath of relief though, because at last, his face looks peaceful.
A couple of hours later, you hear movement from the couch, so you look up.
Josh’s eyes are opened and he’s staring at you.
“Hey,” he mumbles, his voice deep.
“Hi,” you say back, putting down your notebook.
“What time is it?” he asks groggily.
“Half past nine.”
Josh squeezes his eyes shut again, sighing, and sounding frustrated.
“I can’t believe I missed a show.”
Your face softens and you stand up, making your way over to the couch. Josh sits up, rubbing his eyes with the palms of his hands before you sit beside him.
You let your head fall softly on his shoulder.
“It’s more important that you take care of yourself,” you say.
He nods. “I know. I don’t know what’s wrong with me,” his voice slightly breaks on the last word.
“Nothing, Josh. Nothing. We’re gonna get you help, it’s all going to be okay.”
He grabs your hand then, intertwining your fingers and squeezing slightly.
You smile softly to yourself, squeezing his hand tightly back. “Anything for you.”
