yay-presents

Six: Today has the makings of a lovely day!

River: Really?

Six: Mm, we could, you know, go for a walk along the beach later…

River: We could…

Six: And I spy a little store selling ices at the end of the pier!

River: Oh yes!

Six: We could, um, dream… a little…

I’m not okay with how adorable these two were in The Diary of River Song, not in the slightest. What did I do to deserve a scene where Six and River have tea together and he bashfully proposes a date inside her dreams? What did I do to deserve any of the Six/River scenes? (I know they had to save the world ‘n all… I kinda wish they had been able to dream together I’m so schmaltzy…)

This is a semi long fuck managers. I work at a 31 flavors and where im at, it’s a franchise instead of corporate. And the owners I work for are a family. Mom, dad, and daughter.

The mom is the one that hires us, interviews us, and scares the living sh*t out of every employee that every worked here. The daughter is suppose to train us and is like the manager. The dad’s a sweet heart, so I’m not gonna mention him (like, he sings to us and gives free stuff to people passing if he wants.)

When I was hired, I was hired for a cake decorating position. The mom said I’d get a raise with it, about $0.50 more an hour. This was my first job so yay!

Fast forward to present, and I’m now a main opener (every single person that worked here before me quit in the span of a year as well as new hires) and the main cake person.

I had waited a couple of checks to ask them about my raise, seeing if it would automatically go in. It didn’t. When I asked the mom she replied with the fact in the state I live in the minium wage was going up anyways, so I didn’t need it. I told her if I wasn’t getting what I was promised, I would look for another job, she was okay with this.

A couple weeks ago (were doing renovations and so the daughters here all the time double guessing the guys and making sure she likes it) she makes a comment about how hard it’ll be to change the prices on the menu boards now. I say “we’ll find out in January.” (Cause minium wage is going up then again) She looks at me and says “were not changing prices then.”

Me “why not? Don’t you usually do that when wage goes up?”

Her “oh no. Were not raising our wages.”

Turns out there’s this fine print part that says if they have less then 20 employees, they don’t have to honor the new wages until next year.

So, me and the 4 others who have worked her for a while and are actually trained well are looking for another job.

PS, that fine print is there, we’ve looked into it. But it’s for small business owners. Not for families who are so cheap on their work but have regular cleaning staff, are planning on moving a houses foundation, and buys cars for fun.

DURING MY PRESENTATION ABOUT REBECCA SUGAR TODAY

WHILE WE WERE SHOWING HER SHORT “SINGLES” TO THE CLASS WE DIDN’T REALIZE HOW LOUD THE VOLUME WAS SO WHEN THE GUY GOT HIT AND BUMPED INTO THE WALL THE REACTION NOISE/SOUND EFFECT WAS R E A L L Y LOUD AND THE CLASS BURST INTO TEARS

I did a quick Khoshekh on my computer. Digital art is a totally different medium than traditional, and it’s taken me some time to make pieces that I feel are deserving of this site. Anyway, this was a test of a new art program I got. Enjoy.
