yay for taking the night off from working

Me gusto más cuando estoy contigo.

Pairing: Bucky x Reader

Summary: Modern!AU for @bionic-buckyb ‘s 5K challenge.

Just two douchebags confessing their feelings to each other.

Based on the prompt: “It makes me smile that your voice was the first thing I heard today.”

Warnings: Fluff, for a change. Maybe a pinch of humor.

Words: 4482

A/N: Sooo today is my birthday and I just officially came back (partially, I still have to do some exams the following weeks) so I wanted to write some floof to celebrate. Enjoy!

Although he sighed exasperatedly, you could see how he lifted the corner of his lips discreetly. And, just like yours, his tone came out soothing, with such softness almost incompatible with that imposing, statuesque frame of his.

Things are a little slow, working a full time job definitely takes time away from writing during the week and last week was so crazy I was often too tired to write the 1,667 words each day. But during the weekend I spent as much time as I could (when i wasn’t getting distracted) typing up my Our Souls at Night AU  for this years Nanowrimo.

I’m still behind a good chunk of words, but I’m not completly freaking out yet because I’ve told myself I can catch up this week when I have the whole week off from work! (Yay Thanksgiving Break!)

But the best part about these past few writing days is not only did I reach the 15,000 words milestone BUT I surpassed my word count for my Nanowrimo story last year!

It’s not by much honestly, but last year at around this time I had lost all steam and hope. This year I’m pushing through! Still got some motivation and plenty of ideas, just need to work in some more time and energy.

Thanks for all the encouragement some of you all have sent!

Here’s to another week! Fellow Nanowrimo writers, just keep writing! Everyone else, hope you all have a fantastic week!

Wait, these happened before the other one. Oh well.

-Test batch of little Solas heads to play with rotation angle. Purely for aesthetics, at this scale. Aesthetics liked the build-plane-equals-cheek-plane one.

-My friend texted me that he was down the street and would buy me lunch, which, yes – and the place had pretty red tabletops, and I had the Solases in my pocket, so here are some pictures. They are so pretty!

-If you were friends with me in real life, this is the kind of trauma I’d subject you to. It is lucky for the friend in question that he is…thick skinned? Hard headed? Thank you for the lunch, friend.

-Flush from triumph (also lunch), I tried a Cassandra and Cassandra’s-Hair double-plate. Cass made it. Her hair didn’t. I put down a new buildtak sheet.

-Tested the new surface by printing a more gianter Solas head. He totally worked. Yay! …This is when I started getting bored with taking photos, and also could not be arsed to rid him of his scaffolding, and anyway it looks very architectural this way, no?

-Also, last night I accidentally kicked him off the table and his head split open. Sorry dude.
