“Henry … Humphrey … Higgins?”  = A reference to My Fair Lady?

Bonus exhibit - John asking Sherlock if he was ‘a pretty lady’ in the game:

A rather messy yarn ball of references / associations, but here goes:

“My Fair Lady” has Henry Higgins falling for Eliza Doolittle, and also features a wedding prominently in the plot. I would say that Sherlock is Higgins here, and John is Eliza.

The songs that come to my mind from “My Fair Lady”, filtered through some Johnlock angst would be:

“I could have danced all night."

"I’ve grown accustomed to her face."

Also, this is not the first time in Series 3 when a lady (or woman) has been a stand-in for John - Sherlock was searching for John at the Landmark scored to "Donde Estas, Yolanda"  (x)

Even more on John’s Madonna (x), if you’re so inclined.
