“Peace. Land. Victory. I’ll give you Sea Dragon Point and the Stony Shore, black earth and tall trees and stones enough for every younger son to build a hall. We’ll have the northmen too … as friends, to stand with us against the Iron Throne. Your choice is simple. Crown me, for peace and victory. Or crown my uncle, for more war and more defeat. What will you have, ironmen?”

Queen Of The Iron Islands

(Yara x Reader)

Yara was standing at the window when you woke up, she was lost in her thoughts, staring out over the ocean. You got out of bed and walked over without her noticing you. She tensed for a moment when you slung your arms around her neck but relax once she realized it was you.

You kissed her neck and moved your hands down over her breasts, down to her stomach while you smiled to yourself. Yara grabbed your wrist and spun you around, your back pressed against her now. You yelped when she suddenly bit down hard into your shoulder, giving you a sly smirk.

„You surprised me, little girl.“

„You weren’t paying attention, so it’s your fault.“ You reply and laugh quietly while she leaves kisses all over your body.

Yara steps in front of you, her hands on your shoulders as she watches you intensely. Her face is very serious and stressed all of a sudden and you wonder what’s going on.

„Y/N…I can’t be together with you anymore.“

„W-what? Why…why not I thought you…“ Your voice suddenly breaks and tears begin to appear in the corner of your eyes as you look up at her. You didn’t understand, everything had been fine just moments ago and now she didn’t want to see you again.

„It’s not what you think, love. My father died and I’m going to rule the Iron Islands but I’d never be able to make you my queen and you deserve better than to be my mistress.“

„I don’t care! I don’t care as long as I’m able to be with you.“

„No, I don’t want that for you, you deserve to be happy.“

„Yara…please.“

„I’m sorry I should go.“ Yara removes her hands from your shoulders and gives you a kiss on the cheek before she quickly hurries out of the room.

You remain silent, staring at the place where she was standing only seconds ago while the tears run down your face and you quietly begin to sob.

You tried to talk to Yara in the following days but she wouldn’t listen to you, wouldn’t even see you.  You didn’t know what else to do, if she ordered her guards to keep you out there wasn’t much you could do anyway. It wasn’t fair that she just decided on her own without even hearing what you wanted. At first you had been sad and desperate but now you were angry.

It hadn’t been long since you went to bed when your door suddenly flew open and Yara appeared in the door frame. You sat up straight in bed and looked around in confusion.

“We have to go.”

“What’s going on?”

“We have to go! Now! Get your stuff.”

“Yara! You don’t talk to me for days and now we suddenly have to go? Where? Why?”

Yara takes a deep breath to calm down before she speaks again, “I lost the kingsmoot, my uncle is going to kill us if we don’t go now. He will kill you if you stay. Now get everything you need, we don’t have time.”

“Fine.” You say as you jump out of your bed and get dressed. Your anger at her was slowly surging again the longer you were awake. Yara watched you from afar and studied your face. She could see that something was wrong, knowing all too well how you acted when you were angry.

“Now’s not the time but we’ll talk about everything later.” Yara says and pulls you out of the room with her.

26 Favorite Femslash Moments of 2014
20. Jane the Virgin - Luisa and Rose

This was only the second episode, so it might seem unfairly ranked above some of the other moments below, but I just really liked it. At the time, I wasn’t expecting much, I knew a main character’s sister would be a lesbian and the doctor who messed up everything and there’d be an ex in the picture, but that’s it. That ex turned out to be Bridget Regan, though, so interest immediately soared, but I still figured there’d be some bickering and tension at most, but not much screentime for them. I did not expect that in this second episode, we’d get both a shift from ex back to lover and the reveal that Rose was Luisa’s stepmom! Fun.

But really, as the fall season started last year, there was already this general anger and hurt at the spate of recent queer lady TV deaths, so it was lovely to see my dash swept away in a wave of amused and excited surprise (if you’d followed the Legend of the Seeker fandom at all, you’d know just how many people wanted Bridget Regan to kiss a woman) after this scene. And don’t get me wrong, the show was already so great and watchable, I’d have it as favorite new series of the season even without Rose/Luisa, everyone keeps saying that’s just extra toppings on a yummy sundae, and that’s true, but I like that we do get a queer storyline. Yeah, it’s not NECESSARY, but what is? They chose to go with it and in a ridiculous but genre-appropriate way and they get all my support for that.

Okay, Rose, until that point, hadn’t had much to do except have that hair and be played by Bridget Regan but our poor Luisa! She messed up, yeah, big time, no one’s going to disagree, but in the same way that Jane is a certain kind of archetypal romance lead, strong-willed and intelligent and so good of heart, Luisa turns out to be one too, the hapless, adorable, endearing heroine who the suave, beautiful, in-control Rose somehow can’t resist. And even in this short scene, we see there’s actually a lot of depth and history to their relationship, with Rose worried about Luisa’s drinking and apologizing for and knowing she’s hit a nerve. Of course, there are a whole bunch of plot developments to follow (some kind of iffy), but at this point, I’d been eager to see how it’d all play out.

(Extra bonus! This incredibly fun fake trailer for a movie I would pay a lot of money to see.)
