▪ The Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) warned us about extremist groups that would emerge at the end of time who would call themselves Muslims but they are far from the path of Islam.
▪ Imam Ameerulmumineen (عليه السلام) narrates that the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) said ❝In these days before the end of time, the true spiritual essence of Islam would be lost, and religion, for the most part, would be reduced to a ritualistic compulsion. The clergy would be corrupt and be a source of strife during these times.
There here would appear who would be immature in thought and foolish. They would speak beautiful words but commit the more heinous of deeds. They would engage in so much prayer and fasting that the worship of the Muslims would appear insignificant in comparison. They would call to the Qur’an but would have nothing to do with it in reality. The Qur’an would not go beyond their throats, meaning they wouldn’t understand its essence at all, merely regurgitating it selectively. These people are the worst of creation.❞
▪ Imam Ameerulmumineen (عليه السلام) also narrates that the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) described these people as having long hair and bearing black flags. Their ❝hearts will be as hard as iron❞ and that they would be companions of a state (Ashab al-Dawla. ISIS/Daesh call themselves the Islamic State.
📓 Kitaab al-Fitan
‼ ISIS/Daesh do not represent true Islam, the Islam of the Shi’a: the followers of the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) and the 12 Imams (عليهم السلام) that succeeded him. And yet Daesh make it their mission to try and exterminate the Shi’a but in the words of Imam Sadiq (عليه السلام), ❝Our Shi’a are like gold, the more they are tested, the more they shine.❞
📓 Bihar al-Anwar
May Allah (ﷻ) destroy these heathen Daesh and protect the lands and people of Iraq and Syria.
Please pray for the reappearance of our Mawla Imam Mahdi (عليه السلام). 💜
Verily we are Allah’s and verily unto Him shall we return. (Qur'an 2:156)
Now. the trust has been returned and what had been given has been taken back. As to my grief, it knows no bounds, and as to my nights. they will remain sleepless till Allah chooses for me the house in which you are now residing.
Certainly, your daughter would apprise you of the joining together of your (1) ummah (people) for oppressing her. You ask her in detail and get all the news about the position. This has happened when a long time had not elapsed and your remembrance had not disappeared. My salam (salutation) be on you both, the salam of a grief stricken not a disgusted or hateful person; for if I go away it is not because I am weary (of you), and if I stay it is not due to lack of belief in what Allah has promised the endurers.
Mothers hold a high status in the religion of Islam contrary to the Pre-Islamic days where mothers could be inherited and enslaved by their own children. When the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) began his prophethood, he banned this evil practise and taught his followers that respect begins at home with your own mother.
. Allah (ﷻ) said ❝ We have enjoined on man and woman to be good to his/her parents; show gratitude to Me and to thy parents; to Me is (thy final) Goal.❞
📔 Qur’an 31:14
. The Holy Prophet (ﷺ) said ❝Paradise lies at the feet of your mothers.❞
📔 Sunan an-Nasa’i
. Imam as-Sadiq (عليه السلام) said: ❝Once a person came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and asked him about good treatment to parents. Then, he said ‘Treat kindly your mother, treat kindly your mother, and treat kindly your mother; be kind to your father, be kind to your father, and be kind to your father but begin (that kindness) with your mother before your father’.❞
. Narrated Abu Usaid Saidi: ❝We were sitting with the Messenger of God (ﷺ) when a man came up to him and said ❝Oh Messenger of God, do my parents have rights over me now that they are dead?❞ The Holy Prophet replied ❝Yes you must pray to God so that He may bless them with His forgiveness and mercy, fulfil any promises they made to anyone and respect their relations and friends.❞
📔 Ibn Majah
. Imam Zainulabedin (عليه السلام) said ❝Then the right of your mother is that you should know that she carried you where no one carries anyone, and she fed you with the fruit of her heart - that which no one feeds anyone, and she protected you with her hearing and sight, and her hands and legs, and her hair and skin and all her other organs. She was highly delighted to do so. She was happy and eager, enduring the harm and the pains, and the heaviness and the grief until the Mighty Hand expelled you out of her and delivered you out to the Earth.
She did not care if she went hungry as long as you ate, and if she was naked as long as you were clothed, and if she was thirsty as long as you drank, and if she was in the sun as long as you were in the shade, and if she was miserable as long as you were happy, and if she was deprived of sleeping as long as you were resting. And her abdomen was your abode, and her lap was your seat, and her breast was your supply of drink, and her soul was your fort. She protected you from the heat and the cold of this world. Then you should thank her for all that. You will not be able to show her gratitude unless through God’s help and His granting you success.❞
📔 The Treaty of Rights
. Imam Mahdi (عليه السلام) said “For me there is no better role model or inspiration than my mother Lady Fatima Zahra (سلام الله علیها).”
Do you know why Abal Fadel Al-Abbas was called (سبع القنطرة) The Bridge Beast?
When he was 14years old the fitnah of the khawarij happened where they murdered Imam Ali’s friend Abdallah Ibn Khabab and his wife taking out her unborn baby from the womb and beheading it on her body Imam Ali(as) was very upset upon hearing this that he called out Only me and my sons will take vengeance for this So they went to find them and it seemed that these murderous Khawarij had taken refuge in a barrack with 3 gates and a bridge So Imam Ali(as) took the main gate and told imam Hassan to take the west gate and Imam Hussein to take the east one As they were heading there Imam Ali heard someone behind him It was Al-Abbas He asked him: my son what are you doing here He replied: who did u send out O'Ameerul Mu'mineen? The Imam said: I sent your brothers Al-Abbas said: you assigned gates for them but where is my gate The Imam said: you are still young my son Al-Abbas replied: O’ Ameerul Mu'mineen did you not fight for The Prophet of Allah when you were my age Imam Ali(as) said: but there is only that small bridge left all the gates are taken Al-Abbas replied: It is mine and I am for it At this point Imam Ali(as) broke the main gate and roared like a lion making the khawarij run in fear to the east gate where Imam Hussein called out “Where are you running to when I am the son of Ameerul Mu'mineen?” So they ran to the west gate and Imam Hassan called out “Where to when I am the son of the leader of the resplendent and pure” So the Khawarij said we must go to the bridge otherwise Ali and his sons will destroy us They get to the bridge and find a child sitting with a sword in his hand he looks at them and says “I am the son of the red death” When Imam Ali catches up he finds Al-Abbas(as) sitting on the bridge surrounded by all the khawarijs’ heads So The Imam(as) kisses him on his forehead.
The responsibility of the husband towards the wife in Islam 💟💍
🌸 The wife in Islam occupies the highest of roles. A husband is expected to care for and provide for his wife in all things and on the Day of Judgement, he will be asked about his treatment of her. If he treated her with the kindness and respect that she deserved, then she will be his ticket to Jannah inshallah. But if he has mistreated her, hurt her or denied her her rights, then he will be punished.
🌸 Imam Ameerulmumineen (عليه السلام) states ❝When the eyes of a female cry over the man who has oppressed her, the angels curse that man with every step that he takes.❞
📔 Bihar al-Anwar
🌸 Imam Zainulabedin (عليه السلام) said ❝As for the right of your subject through mar-riage [i.e., your wife] is that you should know that Allah (ﷻ) has made her for you a tranquility and comfort [in worry] and a friend and shield [against sins]. And, likewise, it is incumbent upon either of you to thank Allah for his/her spouse, and to know that the other is a favour of God upon you. And it is obligatory to have good fellowship with this favour of Allah [i.e., your wife] , and to respect her and be kind to her although your [i.e., the husband’s] rights upon her are greater and her obedience to you is more binding in all your likes and dislikes so long as it is not a sin. So she has the right of love and fellowship, and a place of repose [i.e., a house] so that natural desires may be fulfilled, and this in itself is a great [duty]. And there is no power, save in Allah.❞
📔 The Treaty of Rights
🌸 The Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) said to Imam Ali (عليه السلام), ❝O father of al-Hassan (عليه السلام)! Listen to me. I will not tell you anything but what my Lord has ordered me to. Allah (ﷻ) will establish the reward of as many years of fasting in the daytime and staying up at night to pray, as there are hairs on ones body for helping his wife with the housework. The reward will be similar to what He granted to the patient ones: Prophet David (عليه السلام), Prophet Jacob (عليه السلام) and Prophet Jesus (عليه السلام).❞
📔 Jame as-Sa’adat
The Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) also said to Imam Ali (عليه السلام),
❝Oh Ali (عليه السلام)! Allah (ﷻ) will record in the book of martyrs the name of whoever serves his wife at home and does not feel bad about it. Allah will establish the reward of one thousand martyrs for each day and night and will grant him the reward of the pilgrimage to the Holy House of Allah (in Makkah) for every step he takes in this regard. Allah will reward him with a city in Heaven that is as extensive as all the veins in his body are.❞
📔 Jame as-Sa’adat
🌸 Finally, the Holy Prophet (صلى الله عليه وآله) said ❝O Ali (عليه السلام)! Serving the wife is considered to be expiation for major sins. It will quench the Lord’s wrath and be considered as the nuptial gift for the Houris. It will be the cause of raised ranks, and increased, recorded good deeds.❞
