THANK YOU SIENNA for translating this super long chapter!! <3

Note–> Sae: Should I force you to add a witty note?  Alec: Does it have to be witty? Just add yours! I liked your notes! 😝 Sae: Because it’s cute XD. [actually, it’s because I’m too lazy to write a proper one.] Also, JS! Look what you’ve done to me. T^T

Addicted Web Series - Banned

…and so i decided to post today regarding on what I feel about this issue. Chinese government, why??? Why do you have to ban such a popular series? These actors, actresses and crew members have worked so hard for this show and you won’t even give them some consideration for that? Come on, think about it. The LGBT community does exists and is a part of the community. We are humans just like you: we eat; we sleep; we get hurt; we love; we feel scared; we feel angry; we laugh; we work; we think; we help; we bathe; we do everything what humans do. Yet why do you treat us like we are not human? I’m so disappointed and I know other Addicted/Shangyin fans do also. This show is entirely about how life is, particularly a life of some gay students (i’m saying the word “some” because not all gays are experiencing that kind of life) and I believe this show is good so that this will give all straight people, who have the wrong idea or stereotypes, understanding how and what gay life is. Instead of giving us negative comments, why not watch it and understand. And what’s more disappointing is, off cam, you treat the actors rudely! Imagine that? Separating the actors during a fan meeting? You take everything too serious and that’s not right. You just gave out reasons to the public that the production crew doesn’t have any budget and whatnot plus saying this show is not a good example to young viewers. Well that’s where the parents should come in! If you don’t know how to explain to your kids what gays are, then why don’t you help the society by not letting your kids watch it? Or much better if you educate yourselves and read more about gays so that you have a clearer understanding of what we are so you can stop judging and could explain it better to your kids. This should be a win win situation, but you don’t give yourself a chance. Why not focusing other crimes like killing and robbery than putting too much attention on the LGBT community.

This is really heartbreaking for us fans of Addicted/Shangyin because we are so into this series. We love the actors and we know they put everything to this. We are very disappointed because you treated them badly and you made them suffer when all they wanted is to entertain us. You even spread out rumors and stalk the actors if they are really gay in real life and if they are dating or not. Like WTF can you just mind your own business? It’s their lives and not yours. So what if they are dating in real life or not? It’s just the same as what straight actors do, they also have their own personal lives that we must not meddle with.

I hope you have a change of heart and help them produce the second season again. Let them be. You should be proud because not only the Chinese are watching this show but other people from other countries as well. We are suppose to be praising China for the series, yet you put it down. Furthermore, not only gays are enjoying watching this show but also there are straights that are watching - and don’t even think that it will make them gay if they continue watching it. So just think about it, shows are not there to influence people, it’s a person’s choice in whatever he wants to do with his/her life.

Please bring Addicted/Shangyin back.

Chapter 187: How to REALLY make SOMEONE WORRY!

Note: Thank you to Sienna and Sae for the translation of this chapter! <3 I also dedicate it to the almighty cat/neko. They don’t necessarily have to be a tsundere uke because they are related to the King of Beasts (Lion) and the Lord of the Jungle (Tiger). I’m looking at you Kev! -_-       - Alec
