x men: second coming

Skin deep - Wolverine x Abused!Reader (NSFW)

Yes I would. Oh wait, I actually already did. WARNING, NSFW. It’s basically fluff and smut. If you’re uncomfortable with smut, DO NOT READ IT, I have many other SFW work instead ;-), if you don’t mind smut though, read away, and hope you’ll like it, like, hope I wrote things alright and all, BOOOOOM :

Summary : Your body is littered with scars from years of abuse and torture…And you feel very self-conscious about it, highly insecure. Your boyfriend (and also savior), Logan, tries to convince you there’s nothing to be ashamed of.

(My master list, by the way : Right here )

It was always the same nightmare.

You were back in the laboratories, and the people that killed your family were torturing you again. Logan’s lifeless body was pinned on the wall in front of you.

They’d done it again. They killed the one you loved the most…your only chance of salvation, of escape. The one that mended your broken body and soul back together. The one that saved you all those years ago, the one you fell deeply in love with…You wake up with a start and a scream, sweat running down your body.

A hand laying softly on your bare thigh startles you, and you jump out of the bed, ready to fight…when you realize it’s Logan.

He’s used to it by now, just like you were used to soothe him back to sleep after one of his nightmare. You were both quite fucked up…He was used to it by now, and yet…

The look on his face is nothing but worries, and he doesn’t dare making another movement. He just stares at you, waiting for you to come back…if you want to. A lot of times, when you wake up from a nightmare, you just leave for a walk alone, to clear your mind…But not tonight.

Tonight, you need to feel him, to be in his arms…protected, and to make sure he’s still there, alive, safe.

You slip back into bed, and his feature softens a bit, loosing just a small amount of worries. One of your arm snake around his waist, the other goes around his neck, your hand tangling itself in his thick black hair. His own arms wrap around your body, pulling you as close as he can, on of his legs fits itself under yours, while the other one spayed across your thigh…You’re trapped in his embrace, just like you love.

Your head goes to rest where his heart beats, and you sigh, tickling him lightly as your breath moves his chest hair.

-You’re here to stay, right Logan ?

-I don’t intend on leaving you again sweetheart.

-Promised ?

-Promised. I couldn’t anyway.

-…Why ?

-Because I fucking love you and I can’t live without you, that’s why.

-That’s me.

You chuckle, snuggling into him even more, and kiss his chest.

-I love you.

-I love you too (Y/N), now, sleep.

You don’t have any dreams the rest of the night, and that’s how you like it.

Anole Reading List (updated 5/5/2017)

By request from abismash.

As Vic is a tertiary character at best and many of his appearances consist of one-liners or his being complete wallpaper, this is not exactly an exhaustive list. These are just the bits I feel are anywhere near relevant to his character (and even a lot of these are one and two panel appearances).

New Mutants (ongoing) v.2 #7 - First appearance and establishes his indecisiveness in finding a mentor.

New X-Men: Academy X #4 - Establishes Victor as being on Northstar’s squad.

New X-Men Academy X #13 - Reacting to the death of his mentor.

New X-Men Academy X #29 - 36 - No real character moments per se, but enough background speaking roles to possibly be of interest.

X-Men #190 - Brief, painful reunion with the not-as-dead-as-he-seemed Northstar.

New X-Men Academy X #37 - 43 - The Quest for Magik. Dragged into Limbo where he loses his original arm and gains the super-strong one. Also the storyline where he’s confirmed as gay.

X-Men: Messiah Complex TPB - Infiltrates the Purifier HQ looking for baby Hope.

X-Men: Divided We Stand TPB - Suffering from PTSD, Victor runs away from home. Features a very OOC Northstar.

Young X-Men: Book of Revelations TPB - Joins the Young X-Men. Spends most of the book in the background.

New Mutants (ongoing) v.3 #1 - Has a confrontation with Cannonball over Magik’s presence at the school.

Pixie Strikes Back TPB - On the rescue squad that goes to save Pixie.

Nation X #3 - “Big Boy Pants” short. Magik gets away with abusing the younger students again, dropping Vic off in a desert alone for days when he dares say that the X-Men should be doing more for mutant survival than trying to grow crops on a salt-encrusted rock. I hate this story.

X-Men: To Serve and Protect TPB - X-Dudes. One of the rare occasions where Vic gets to be a POV character.

X-Men Legacy: Collision - Accompanies former Alpha Squadron teammate Indra home for moral support during his arranged marriage.

Uncanny X-Men: Quatantine TPB - One of the first infected with a mysterious mutant plague. Still volunteers to help the X-Men even though he’s sick as a dog.

X-Men: Second Coming - Revelations - On the squad to rescue Magik from Limbo.

Avengers Academy #28 - Has a brief heart-to-heart with Striker about being the only gay in the village.

Wolverine and the X-Men v.2 #2 - Cameo appearance as CEO of Worthington Industries after graduating off-panel in the previous series.

X-Men v.4 #13 - 15 - Training to form a retaliation squad with Hellion, Rockslide, and Broo. Back-up story that wraps with Psylocke being an oblivious, condescending ass.

Amazing X-Men #13 - Spotlight story with Northstar and Nightcrawler. Features Victor’s first on-screen kiss with another boy.

Extraordinary X-Men #6 - Has a (canonically inaccurate) bonding session with Iceman when Bobby comes out to him. More or less agrees to mentor Bobby in how to be comfortable with his gay self.

Extraordinary X-Men #8 - 12: Due to time-travel hijinks, Anole winds up stranded in a hellscape future with some of the other kids. He regenerates from extensive injuries, leaving him with a muscular monster body to match his outsized arm. Almost all of this happens off-screen, of course, because who wants to see thrilling adventures of dystopian survival when we can deal with a possessed Colossus yet again? Victor continues to have background cameos throughout the EXM run, but no further character development.

Marvel Reveals Captain America Was ALWAYS Evil. REALLY????

I am outraged right now. I can’t stop thinking about it since I read their last “plot twist” in the ongoing source of anger that is for me the whole “Nazi Cap” story line.

They keep making it worst-first it was revealed that he was a Hydra double agent. Then he was brainwashed. Now he was evil Nazi all along and he just thought that he was good because the Allies had changed the reality. I am pretty sure in the end they are gonna change their mind again and they are gonna tell us that the whole “Steve Rogers was always a Hydra member” was because of yet another reality wrapping but, really, I am tired of their bullshit.

I really love Marvel Comics-they were always a big part of my life. Peter Parker is my favorite fictional character ever and Steve Rogers comes a very close second. The X-men series was my favorite thing to read for like 14 years. But right now I can’t stand the idea of me reading any title from Marvel Comics anymore.

The last years they keep torture their characters. They totally destroyed the X-men and killed almost all of them because they didn’t want to have so many X-men titles anymore. They treated the Fantastic Four series like shit for years before they cancel them. They banished Peter Parker for two years and turn Dr. Octopus into Spiderman. They keep retire characters that people know and love for years for new versions of them just so they can say that they have minorities and female characters instead of actually make new, original minority characters from scrap. Don’t get me wrong, Riri for example is amazing but why she had to be created only in order to replace Tony Stark as Iron Man and not because it would be cool to have her around anyway? And then of course we have the whole Nazi cap fiasco.

Steve Rogers, the symbol of Freedom and Justice, the character that was made from Jewish artists in order to show that there is always hope even in the darkest times, the man who lead the Avengers for ages, the soldier that stood up to his government in the Civil War issues just because it was the right thing to do, the guy who dedicated his whole life to fight for the good, is a Hydra member. Let me rephrase it: The guy that punched Hitler is secretly a Nazi. And he was always one. He just didn’t know it.

I mean thanks Marvel, but I don’t need you to turn the life of one of my favorite characters into a total lie- Stephen Moffat has already done that with the Doctor Who 50th anniversary episode.

That’s it Marvel Comics. I am breaking up with you. I need a break from our toxic relationship in order to think what I want. I am sorry, it’s not me-it’s you. May we meet again when you are stop being an annoying asshole. Until then, get your shit together and leave my Steve alone.

This reading order includes all major appearances, plus some smaller ones I think are important or fun. It also includes reading orders for important crossover events she features in.

Start with her back story:

  • X-23: Target X #1-6
  • Nyx Vol 1: Wannabe - Laura appears on issues #3-7

Then we move on to her time with the X-Men and everything since.

If you think I missed something let me know :)

I just watched X-Men: Apocalypse for the second time and I’ve come to the conclusion that I feel no sympathy to those jerks in Poland who turned Erik in or those idiot cops. Erik saved that guy’s life. He could have stayed hidden and let that guy be crushed, but he saved him. And their response is to talk to the cops? I suppose you could argue that it was their civic duty to go to the cops, but if I had been in that situation, I’d be fucking thanking him and keeping my damn mouth shut. He’d obviously been living there in peace for a long time.

Now those cops. Especially that idiot who accidentally shot Erik’s family. I was watching him more closely this time. He has his bow and arrow drawn and aimed at civilians. And is paying no attention to it whatsoever. He’s staring at a bunch of damn birds. While he has a deadly weapon essentially cocked and ready to fire. At civilians!!

I got so angry at those people and I felt so badly for Erik and his family. They didn’t deserve that. That was a horrible way to die. I’m only sorry Erik didn’t get the chance to exact vengeance on those iron workers. And he killed the one cop too quickly. The one who shot the arrow should have been made to suffer.

I may be taking this a little too seriously. But dammit, Erik has been through enough! Why can’t he just have a happy life (with Charles)??
