Louis Tomlinson is 'ARRESTED for attacking paparazzi'
Louis Tomlinson has been arrested after getting caught in airport bust-up with photographers.

One Direction singer Louis Tomlinson has been arrested and ordered to pay a $20,000 bail fee after getting caught in an airport bust-up with paparazzi.

The 25-year-old engaged in the fiery showdown as he arrived at Los Angeles International Airport with his girlfriend Eleanor Calder.

The heartthrob, who joined the world famous band in 2010, had been returning to Los Angeles after the couple enjoyed a holiday in Las Vegas.

But he became involved in an ‘altercation’ after he asked a paparazzi to stop filming him as he waited to collect his luggage on Friday night.

It ended up with the photographer making a citizen’s arrest and Tomlinson was left 'upset’ following the alleged brawl.

He was taken to LA police station following the incident and his official arrest record indicates that he was apprehended at 11.45pm on Friday and released at 1.32am on Saturday morning.

The document also shows that Tomlinson, originally from Doncaster, South Yorkshire, was ordered to pay a $20,000 bail fee.

It also indicates that the star, who is believed to be worth £40million, is due to appear in court on March 29 later this month.

Miss Calder, 24, is also thought to have got involved in an argument with onlookers who began filming the row.

His lawyer claims three other people were attacking his girlfriend during the incident which finally came to an end when airport security stepped in.

'Louis was really upset. After being filmed he told the snapper to stop, but he didn’t take kindly to the request,’ a source told TMZ about the incident, which reportedly saw the photographer’s head smashed against the floor.

'The row turned into a scuffle causing airport security to pull them apart.’

A female witness also revealed that two other women got involved in the altercation after Louis’ other half Eleanor told them to stop recording the fight on their phones.

Louis’ lawyer Martin Singer offered the following statement to MailOnline on Saturday: 'The paparazzi provoked and caused the altercation that occurred with Louis.

'It’s not the first time that a paparazzi has created an altercation with a celebrity.

'While the altercation was going on with the paparazzi, three other individuals were attacking his girlfriend during this incident and he came to her defence.’

Both the X Factor star and the photographer in question have been booked under citizen’s arrest.

It is not clear whether Louis’ rekindled girlfriend, who he previously dated for four years until March 2015, was arrested.

Tomlinson and Miss Calder rekindled their romance last week when they re-followed each other on Instagram.

The pair went on to enjoy a holiday in Jamaica together which was first revealed by Louis’ younger sister Phoebe.

A fan then took to Instagram to confirm that she had bumped into Tomlinson with his 'girlfriend’ at the airport.

ANDREW Lloyd Webber’s smash musical Joseph And The Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is returning to London’s West End — and he wants One Direction star Liam Payne for the starring role.

The composer, 69, has put the pop star at the top of his hit list for the show’s 50th anniversary when it relaunches this Christmas.

It would be the first time the show has been shown on the West End since 2009 when Lee Mead, 35, won BBC1 show Any Dream Will Do and played the lead role for two years.

A source said: “Andrew has told those involved that his dream signing is Liam. He thinks he can bring so much to the role of Joseph, he’s a natural performer.

“There was talk of other popstars being approached but he wants to keep the bar high and they don’t come much bigger than 1D.”

The musical, based on the “coat of many colors” story of Joseph from the Bible’s Book of Genesis, was first performed as a 15 minute show at Colet Court School in London in 1968 – making next year its 50th anniversary.

Previous Josephs include former Neighbours actor Jason Donovan, 48, and This Morning host Phillip Schofield, 54.

But The Sun understands that the former X Factor star, 23, who is imminently expecting his first child with fellow singer Cheryl, 31, will snub the role if formally approached - with theatre work not in his current plans.

A source close to the singer said: “Liam won’t do this, he is focusing on his debut solo album and this is the opposite of something he would do.“
