Proclaim

Type & Edit by Jude Dias

I can’t impress this on you too strongly. God is looking over your shoulder. Christ himself is the Judge, with the final say on everyone, living and dead. He is about to break into the open with his rule, so proclaim the Message with intensity; keep on your watch. Challenge, warn, and urge your people. Don’t ever quit. Just keep it simple. - 2 Timothy 4:2

Blessings,

The Creatives Team

God is on our Team

God has never failed in any kind of face-off with someone else and what’s even better for us as Christians is that He is on our side. Take the story of David and Goliath for example. David was a skinny little kid at the time whilst Goliath was a full on giant with all the equipment he needed to finish David off in one blow. However, David had something that Goliath didn’t. David had God on his side. You know how the story ends.

No giant is too big for God and that includes all the giants that we have come across in our course of life. How assuring is it to know that we have a God who can tackle our giants and never leaves us alone in our journey to pursue Him.

Definitely something to be thankful today (and always).

Be the Light

“You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden; or does anyone light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on the lampstand, and it gives light to all who are in the house.… - Matthew 5:14-15

In the verse quoted above, Christ clearly tells us that as Christians, we are to go out and make Him known by living as He did. By living as Christ and walking in His ways, we allow others around us to see Christ work in our lives. Living by example is one of the many ways to show others how amazing and powerful our God is.

Let us live by example and show the world that Christ lives to this day and is powerfully at work in our everyday lives.

In the Aftermath

In that moment of glorious surrender
Was the moment You broke the chains in me
Lifted out of the ashes
I am found in the aftermath

But very early on Sunday morning[a] the women went to the tomb, taking the spices they had prepared. 2 They found that the stone had been rolled away from the entrance. 3 So they went in, but they didn’t find the body of the Lord Jesus.4 As they stood there puzzled, two men suddenly appeared to them, clothed in dazzling robes.

5 The women were terrified and bowed with their faces to the ground. Then the men asked, “Why are you looking among the dead for someone who is alive? 6 He isn’t here! He is risen from the dead! Remember what he told you back in Galilee, 7 that the Son of Man[b] must be betrayed into the hands of sinful men and be crucified, and that he would rise again on the third day.” - Luke 24: 1-7

Wishing you all a Blessed Resurrection Sunday from all of us here at Walk the Same. Jesus is alive indeed! Praying that all things become new and alive in our goals, hopes, dreams - today and in the days to come.

Speak Up (Proverbs 31:8)

So many people exist in our world where their voices are unheard of. They either are unable to speak up for themselves or they are not given the right to speak. As Christians, we are called to be part of community which also includes helping those who need our help in speaking out.

Let us be part of this great movement and speak out in one voice for what is righteous and true in the eyes of God.

It’s all about Faith

What does faith mean to you? If we turn to the Bible we see Christ talking about faith with His disciples on more than one occasion. Clearly this was an important topic of conversation for Him and what that means for us is that it is important for our personal lives too.

As a Christian, faith is something that we need to adopt and embrace in our lives. Without it, chances are that we might go off into the wrong path. Out of His curiosity and wanting to believe, Peter called out to Christ and for His permission to come out to Him (Matthew 14:22-22). Out of sheer faith and His focus on Christ, He did walk on water but it didn’t last very long. Before he knew it, he was drowning and Christ came to him when he called out. That incident would have definitely stuck with Peter for probably the rest of his life and seeing, knowing and understanding how faith took him to a place that he never knew was possible, got him to realize that Christ was not simply just another person. He realized Christ was more than that and until then end of His days, Peter lived for Him. It was His faith that kept him together and kept him stronger for the rest of his life. Can you imagine how differently things would have gone for Peter had he not have had this solid faith?

Faith was not something that Peter had alone, but men and women throughout the ages in the Bible lived and trusted God through faith. So once again I ask, What does faith mean to you in your life?

The Lord is Near

In Luke 7:11-17, we learn the death of a mother’s only son who was been taken out of Nain (the name of the town) to be buried. Considering that the boy was her only son, you could imagine how heart broken the widow must’ve been. However, just as they were exiting the town of Nain, Jesus and His disciples were about to enter the town and happened to see this funeral procession. Jesus being who He was, was filled with compassion and beelined towards the funeral gathering and before anyone knew it, He had raised the boy from the dead.

Coming back to our own lives, we usually feel broken and defeated when something or someone in our lives has died (both literally and figuratively). This could be a loved one and can also be due to a broken dream, an unfulfilled promise and more. But Christ being who He is, never turns a blind eye at our loss, pain and suffering. By inviting Christ into our lives and allowing Him to take control of it all, He raises up all that is dead within us and makes us new beings. With Christ, you can always be assured that He will turn things around for you.

No matter the season you may be in right now, never forget that the Lord is always close to you and He is working in your life in such radical ways. Just believe!

Let us anchor ourselves onto the rock that is God because no matter the storms, He is un-moving and unchanging. We can always place our faith on Him.

True Christianity

Christ showed us all by example what it meant to be a Christian. Regardless of the fact that a whole bunch of people nailed Him to the cross and our sinful nature, He forgave us and gave us redemption and bridged the broken gap that existed between us and the Father. We are where we are right now because of His mercy and forgiveness.

Would you call yourself a Christian?
