It’s weird. I usually need music playing in order to write. Sometimes I listen to one song over and over and get lost in my writing. Sometimes I listen to a band or playlist that fits the mood of the section I’m writing.

But then there are other times where I put in my headphones and start typing away. Two pages later I realize that I never turned the music on.

What Makes A Writer?

I keep seeing posts about what makes us writers…but I don’t think there’s a true definition of it.

We all have our own weird quirks and ways of doing things. None of us write exactly the same way or write about the same exact things. We’re all different, and that’s a good thing.

I think the only thing we all truly have in common is our love–or desperate need–of sharing the stories that haunt our minds.
