Guess what, this camel is 100% made from date palm, so expect a sweet camel meat. Haha, this camel will also bring record from MURI (Museum Rekor Indonesia) to City of Tomorrow Superblock Mall as the biggest camel made from date palm. Cool, huh ?
I’m introducing Keanu! An 11-months old Himalayan Male Cat. This one is big and strong! The color is seal point, although I’m not sure what it means, but just takes a look at Keanu, he wears a perfect batman mask on his face and black socks in his feet, cool! The former owner doesn’t really know when is Keanu’s birthday, so we just put it as 1-1-2011. Keanu has beautiful eyes and also is a clever cat, hope he likes his new home :)
*Somehow deep in my heart, I miss Chiko. Thinking how sweet it would be to have him growing up to become as big as Keanu :(

Saturday! Today is a lovely day, Me, Phel, Steve and Amin went Aryaduta for swimming along with John and Jet. It was quite fun because we have Amin now as our new bullied target. Haha. Swimming all day is getting me tired now.. After swimming, Steve takes us to eat Tahu Tek Pak Jayen. Tahu tek is one of the special food in Surabaya, this time I order a spicy one, with 5 chillies! It tastes wonderful ! John and Steve ordered the no spicy at all one, with no chilli at all, Jet and Amin with 3 chillies, and phel with 2 chillies and he is already dying! Haha. Pak Jayen is totally a must try when you are in Surabaya, price? IDR 9K.
Today I attended a seminar title “From Local Winner to Global Competitor”. It is a seminar by Mr. Tri the regional marketing manager of Cambridge University Press. The seminar was quite attractive, he shares his bad experience during his first year of university. He finished his senior high school with the top three highest score in Jakarta and applied for scholarship in Singapore Education Minister and got the full scholarship in NUS, everything is covered in the scholarship. The first time he thinks that it will be easy for him to get his degree in NUS because he was the top three students in Jakarta, but thing didn’t turn out to be as what he expected. In the end of first semester, he even got a “F” grade in one of his subject. He said that we always think that we are already a winner, we have the self-ego thinking that we don’t have to study that much, we don’t have to ask our friend, etc. But the reality says that the local winner doesn’t always mean that we will become a global winner also, we need to cope with the changes that we encounter. A good quote he takes from Adam Smith (I don’t know whether I still remember it all) “It is not the most intelligent creature nor the strongest one that will survive, but it is the one that can deal with changes”.
It’s maybe around 4pm today that I was about to leave my dorm and there came the postman, it’s mom package! Ah, what a coincidence! If only I leave the house one minute earlier, then tomorrow I should be going to take the package at the office. How lucky I am, haha!
But that’s still not the best part, the best part is in opening the package! My jaw dropped as I found out that there are lots of tea, herbal drinks, biscuits, candies and lastly a t-shirt + two hongpau! What a birthday gift mom, thanks!
