wow random thought

Anton Walbrook behind the scenes of ‘The Red Shoes’, 1948.

what if diana’s lasso was missing because the warehouse team had bagged it! oh my god. imagine diana stormed her way to the warehouse and demanded them to give her back the lasso. claudia and pete would fangirl over wonder woman I’m sure. maybe myka would dumbstruck a bit ‘cause wow amazon princess is here. (and helena was a bit jealous lol) diana smelled apples, the warehouse liked her.

idk if you do the gross boyfriend tag thing anymore but can you imagine giving harry a lapdance while woman is playing in the background

ummm this ran away from me and the song is hardly mentioned but here’s 1,2k+ of…. something

Ever since Harry finally played you his finished album you’ve had ‘Woman’ stuck playing on loop in your head. He’s finally back home for a little break between promo work and you’ve been waiting for your chance to help him unwind a little. Relax and take his mind off interviews and soundchecks.

You’re curled up together on the couch after dinner, neither of you really paying attention to the movie playing on the TV, running your fingers up and down his thigh from where you’re cuddling up against his side with an arm wrapped around you. Harry’s playing with the sleeve of your t-shirt, nosing into your neck and placing soft kisses there whenever he sees fit.

Feeling ready to move things along you slide a leg over Harry’s waist, moving to straddle him before wrapping your arms around his neck and leaning in. Harry smirks from his spot under you and his hands moving up your thighs and settle on your waist.

“Hi there,” he says grinning up at you.

1) it literally is just so easy to have all your study jams on one playlist, so very convenient 2) really helps you get in a good headspace for studying by having the right music 3) slightly reduces procrastination bc you’re focusing on your study not trying to follow the plot of Stranger Things at the same time (ok let’s be honest I watch Netflix while I’m studying way more than is probably helpful) 4) idk it just makes me feel organised and kinda on top of stuff 5) hopefully you agree by now bc I’m just rambling 6) these aren’t even actual points anymore 😂 7) remember you’re important and very loved! Have a wonderful day, lovelies

It doesn’t make sense to call ourselves ugly, because we don’t really see ourselves. We don’t watch ourselves sleeping in bed, curled upend our chests rising and falling with our own rhythm. We don’t see ourselves reading a book, eyes fluttering and glowing. You don’t see yourself looking at someone with love and care inside your heart. There’s no mirror in the way when you’re laughing and smiling and the happiness is just leaking out of you.You would realise how bright and beautiful you are if you saw yourself in the moments you truly are yourself.
Just a random thought

Every time I do a study challenge I avoid the study playlist because I literally study and bullet journal to super hardcore metal or punk songs. I’m talking listening to Hardwired by Metallica or It’s A Nightmare by The Casualties (look up the songs if you want to) while I am drawing cute shit in my bullet journal lmao.

I think that L underestimated how difficult the Kira case would get in the beginning. If you look at the first few times we see L sitting he’s not in his “trademark pose” however as the story goes on we see he soon changes his position. “I don’t sit like this because I want to, I have to sit like this” and ” if I were to sit normally my deduction skills would be reduced by about 40%”. So that means in the beginning he wasn’t “giving it his all” and most likely thought it would be another easy case. And as the case goes on he changes his position to constantly sitting in his crouching position.

I know we’ve talked about this interview ad nauseum, but as s3 progresses, it gets more and more relevant:

If we did “Girl Meets Love,” it would not be one episode. It would be a sustained series of episodes in an attempt to explain, for this generation, what the perception of love is, versus what love may actually be, versus are we ready for that at all?

That is literally what we’re seeing play out now. Ski Lodge makes it very clear what the girls’ perceptions of love are and that it’s very naive and not remotely close to the real deal. They’re stuck in their perceptions and, frankly, I don’t think either of them would know the real deal if it bit them in the butt at this point. What love may actually be? They’ll likely learn that eventually, but as of ski lodge 1 & 2, they’re not there yet. Don’t mistake for a minute that they are.

Also, an oft forgotten, but equally important part of this quote. “Are we ready for that at all.”

Are we ready for this at all? Seems quite clear based on the outcome of Riley and Maya’s fantasy sequences that they’re not ready, a la the deaths of their relationships with Lucas. Lucaya’s inability to stop arguing long enough to cut the red wire hints very strongly at the idea that lucaya can’t get together before they’re ready (before they’re balanced), otherwise they’re a ticking time bomb. They’ll self destruct. And Ski Lodge made it very clear they’re NOT ready. Rucas isn’t either (for other reasons), but they go for it anyways…Which almost doesn’t matter since apparently they’re doomed whatever they do.

Also, this comes back up in I Do, with something along the lines of:

“Only a person who is truly in love with someone would ask if they’re ready. Only someone who cares enough to ask knows for sure.”

Now, I don’t know where Lucas’ head was at when they got to the Ski Lodge (though I think the maya motifs he’s dressed in are a clever nod) or at the end of triangle (though I lean toward Riley), but if there’s one thing I’m fairly convinced of, it’s that he had major Maya on the brain at the end of upstate, consciously or otherwise. Either way, the fact that he asks Maya what she wants to do, instead of telling her who he chose gives me major shades of the aforementioned “ask if they’re ready”. Lucas could have bulldozed through the conversation. He could have told her his choice anyways.

But he didn’t. He asked her what she wanted to do. And implicit in that (assuming she was his choice at that point in time) was him asking her if she was ready.

She wasn’t. She isn’t. They aren’t. Hopefully, one day they will be, but there’s a lesson in them not being ready, as well.

And one final quote from that interview that is very important to keep in mind:

Josh’s inclusion in Season 3 will really be what we wanted to do in Season 2, which is nothing is easy. Nothing in life that is valuable is an easy road. We’re going to use Josh to just add what we think is texture and growth to the other characters.

Josh is here to teach us that nothing is easy, which is an interesting lesson if the endgame (or even serious relationship) for Maya is him, since he showed up for the first time in months, and by the end of it all is holding Maya’s hand and talking about long games. In the episodes since Ski Lodge, he’s (if I’m not mistaken) only showed up a whopping 1 time and hasn’t been name dropped outside of that. There doesn’t really seem to be any ongoing angst (outside of the episode that he’s present for). And, frankly, that doesn’t sound all that difficult to me. He shows up, they fall into an unofficial official thing and that’s that.

Doesn’t sound like it’s teaching us that nothing is easy…because Josh/Maya’s unofficial coupling was pretty easy once he got past the age thing….Unless the point is that josh isn’t what’s difficult, so much as what Josh is a road block to is what’s difficult (i.e. Lucaya).

Also, please note that Josh is here to “add texture and growth to the other characters”. Josh is not the story. Josh is the texture and the growth, but he isn’t the story.
