Hey, just wanted to say that while I'm sad you're no longer updating on ff (I first discovered your work on that site and was then hooked), I will soon go over to ao3 to follow you there. Thank you for writing such amazing stories. Your work frequently takes my breath away and features pairings that I never thought I'd love, and I enjoy every minute of them. Again, thank you so much for being a fantastic person and writer. Sorry if I bothered you. :)

Never a bother! Thank you so much!  💕

‘We eat light, drink it in through our skins. With a little more exposure to light, you feel part of things physically. I like feeling the power of light and space physically because then you can order it materially. Seeing is a very sensuous act-there’s a sweet deliciousness to feeling yourself see something’

💕 Romancing Deacon Mod 💕

While I enjoyed my time in Fallout 4, there was one thing I always felt like I was missing. Deacon is a fantastic character who stands fine on his own with no romance, but if you’re looking to add to that experience with a romance then this is the mod for you! Like the other romanceable companions, he is available for female and male sole survivors.

💕 Download Locations:

The dialogue options and lover’s embrace unlock after you gain Deacon’s loyalty perk. It’s fully voiced, I cut together other parts of his dialogue and I think it sounds pretty good. He doesn’t say much, but what he does say is pretty 😍 I’ve filled in the rest with notes he’ll leave around for your survivor (think of Deacon as an early riser who’s up before the Sole Survivor is).

Note: There is no PS4 support for this mod and unfortunately there never will be. Sony put up some really lame restrictions as to what can be added to their mods - no external files can be included and welp, to do all of this, I had to add some external files. Sorry PS4 players.

Edit: Happy April Fool’s Day! 😂

latest updates:

I was working on a site for a client that was eventually going to sell hand-made crafts, but initially just wanted something to showcase her work.

I produced a really nice page for each of her products, and a gallery side-bar that opened into a slideshow.

Me: Hey! Give me a call and we’ll hash out the fine details and fix anything that’s in error. I’ve added some filler text but we’ll replace that soon enough. I also added the events listing you gave me.

Client: It looks good. I noticed an extra apostrophe somewhere, so maybe fix that. Other than that, I think it’s fine. I’ll give you some updates on the text later.

She then took up the rest of the meeting complaining about non-site related issues. I did some editing, fixed the extra apostrophe, and thought we were golden.

A week and a half later, I got this text:

Client: Do not do anything else to the website. I got booted from a vending spot because you listed the event before the coordinator OKed it and I have people complaining about the FALSE INFORMATION that YOU PUT UP.

Me: You mean… the stuff that you went over and said was fine for now?  That information?

She still owes me hosting fees and is claiming they should be deducted because of “potential income loss.”

ok, here's a question that's been with me for years now: so uh, what exactly is the history of the tfwiki? why is it comedic in nature? im not complaining, its just that the tfwiki is so different from all other fandom wikis that i'm curious how it got that way. did it start as a regular wiki before someone added a funny caption as a joke, and it just went from there? or was it always going to be comedic? who created it? why? forgive me if this has been asked before, but google is useless here.

“Teletraan I, the Transformers Wiki” was originally founded on Wikia (then called “Wikicities”) back in May 2005 by a user named Nova81426, with the intention that he and a friend of his would work on it as a hobby. The week after opening up the site, however, the pair were offered a big job opportunity (to take over the running of a comic book store), so their planned project had to be shelved so they could devote their time to that.

Nothing much happened to the wiki for a while, until April of 2006, when it was discovered by longtime Transformers fan David “@itswalky“ Willis. The editing of Transformers articles on Wikipedia itself had been increasingly troubled for some time thanks to the efforts of one particularly terrible editor, so Willis determined to turn “Teletraan I” into the “proper” Transformers wiki as a way to have a good online resource free of that nonsense. He chose to make it a little humorous, and the first few editors who joined him in working on the site - being from a similar era of fandom as him, and sharing a similar sense of humor from being in the same fandom circle - rolled with it.

And y’know, it might’ve ended there, with the site being somewhere these guys had fun while documenting Transformers, but instead it just kept growing and growing as more people joined up to contribute. And as popular as we are for our tone now, back in the early days, whee-OOOH, there were some folk that HATED it, and were really out to get the site! But as our main talkpage still says, “THE FUNNY STAYS,” and eventually history got on our side. :)

To complete this recap of our history and answer the other big question that’s often asked - “why are there two wikis?” - we’ll jump ahead to 2008, when Wikia was in the process of redesigning itself to look less like Wikipedia, leading to the incorporation of an increasingly ridiculous number of ads. You’ve seen what Wikia (or “Fandom,” as they’re call now) looks like these days, right? This was the move toward that. The Transformers Wiki had no time for the talking auto-play adverts that were being shoved into their page layouts, forcing text and images off the screen, and as the Wikia administrators were not willing to compromise on the issue, it was decided that, in order to preserve itself, the site would go independent, moving to its own server, owned by Willis. That was when we were rechristened “TFWiki,” and where we remain today, while the previous Wikia wiki still exists in a largely-abandoned state.

Bertha Parker Pallan (1907-1978) was a Native American archaeologist, of Abenaki and Seneca descent. Her parents were Behula Tahamont, a Native American actress, and Arthur C. Parker, the first president for the Society of American Archaeology.

Parker discovered and participated in many archaeological sites during her career, but she is best known for her work at the site of Gypsum Cave. Although she was originally hired her as the expedition cook and secretary, she was allowed to explore the cave and was able to reach more inaccessible areas. It is here that she uncovered the first giant ground sloth remains in association with humans, a discovery that received national attention among anthropologists. After her time at Gypsum Cave, she discovered two additional sites: Corn Creek Campsite, and a pueblo site at Scorpion Hill. She worked for over 10 years as an Assistant in Archaeology and Ethnology at the Southwest Museum, where she published a number of archaeological and ethnological papers in the museum journal. In her later years, she acted as a technical advisory and consultant on TV shows and movies depicting American Indians, and hosted her own TV show on Native American history and folklore.

Bertha Parker Pallan was a ground-breaker in many aspects. She is considered the first female Native American archaeologist, and she is one of the first women  recognized for conducting her work at a high level of skill in the field without a university education. Additionally, her role as a consultant for TV and movies influenced how American Indian cultures and their histories were depicted in the media.

Tent House in Waiheke Island

Having won New Zealand’s Best Spatial Design award for Residential Interiors, Chris Tate’s Tent House is a masterpiece of monochrome built with sharp lines and interesting angles. Sleeping below a tent on Waiheke Island, Chris envisioned a home with a similar triangular architectural form - simple, beautiful and playful. This idea sparked a project to build a collapsed tent house frame, and after two years of hard work, Tent House was completed.

Since the inspiration was a triangular form, this posed several engineering and architectural issues, particularly on safety as the walls were not in conventional 90-degree angles. Chris tried around 30 different options during the 2D-drawing stage to ensure the home would work structurally and functionally. “It came down to which shape looks best and what angles worked best on the site to maximize the shape. It was purely visual, followed by dissecting the design into cross-sections so the descending height walls would all fit in seamlessly and be safe for walking up to, despite the slope,” said Chris.
