what “don’t hate on ships” means : don’t harass people who ship unpopular/not well known/ect. ships + send them anon hate for simply shipping two (or more) characters

what “don’t hate on ships” doesn’t mean : pretending as if pedophilic/abusive/ect. are 100% okay and acceptable + that people shouldn’t call you out for shipping something problematic and harmful

listening to the Dear Evan Hansen soundtrack without the context of the show is like listening to the story of a boy who wants to preserve the legacy of his best friend because he cares so much about him and not enough about himself and he ends up having a mental breakdown because he cares too much about everything and it’s really cute and kinda depressing but still heartwarming

bUT

WATCHING DEAR EVAN HANSEN WITH CONTEXT IS LIKE BEING HIT BY A GODDAMN FREIGHT TRAIN AND LEARNING THAT THE SAME BOY IS A COMPLETE ANXIOUS LIAR AND HE BARELY EVEN CARED ABOUT THAT SUPPOSED BEST FRIEND AND HE ENDS UP HAVING A MENTAL BREAKDOWN THROUGH THE WHOLE SHOW BUT SOMEHOW…SOME F*CKING HOW…YOU STILL LOVE HIM AND ITS THE MOST DEPRESSING THING IN THE ENTIRE WORLD

It is essential to be alone with God, waiting at His door, hearkening for His voice, lingering in the Scripture. No number of Christian meetings, no amount of Christian activity, can compensate for the neglect of this still hour.”
The life around us, in this age, is preeminently one of rush and effort. It is the age of the instant this and instant that.” This feverish haste threatens the life of devotion to Christ… We must beware that we do not substitute Christian activities for the authentic relationship with Christ. Mary understood this and chose to be at Jesus’ feet.
There is only one thing worth being concerned about. Mary has discovered it, and it will not be taken away from her.“ Luke 10:42

They say that if a writer falls in love with you, you’ll never die.
But no one talks about what happens when you break a writer’s heart.

How this gift of immortality becomes their curse.
How they keep you alive in their poetry even while it kills them.
How they recreate the crime scene on paper.
Words spread out like map coordinates
Looking for where things went wrong.
Writing down the word ‘forever’ and
Wondering how those three syllables sounded like an eternity when you said it.

Every poem they write is a sketch of your face; as if their pen only knows how to make posters of the people they miss; each full stop a reminder of your freckles; each semicolon an image of your sideways smile and the dimple under your cheek.

Every poem is just ‘I still love you’ written in code.

Every poem is a letter unsent; because if hearts were mailboxes you wouldn’t have one.

Every poem is an attempt to soothe the ache in their left chest; to let inked words bleed instead; to shrink the memories into sentences.

Every poem is the Heimlich maneuver; so they write until the words locked in their throats fly out like freed birds and bruised lungs can finally taste oxygen again.

Every poem is a paper boat called acceptance.

Every poem including this one.

Overgosh Done Went And Did It Again With The Lots of Info - Maps Edition

It’s an origins map! I originally made the overview map as a quick little visual representation of the geographical spread of heroes, but then (as usual) got the itch to make something a little bit bigger. So, I made a breakdown (with words!) and the Overwatch maps. Sublocations inside of the existing maps such as Castillo, Black Forest and Necropolis aren’t included.

Feel free to shoot me feedback/questions/corrections, etc! Note that this was updated as of 11/5/2017, so if you’re sending a new addition in the FUTURE then first check back at the original post to see if I haven’t already updated it. Thanks team!

One of the reasons I love DEH so much is because so many people say how “theatre is an escape from reality” when that’s exactly what DEH is not. It brings you to reality and makes you think of others and why they do the things they do. It makes you want to change your reality for the better. DEH is so genuine in how we think of others and ourselves, I believe it’s one of the most authentic musicals to come to broadway yet.

k but can we talk about how incest and pedophelia have been normalized to the point where a lot of people are scared to have healthy normal feelings of (platonic or familial) love towards people in their family/children? It has gotten to a point where if someone says “yeah my older sister cares a lot about me” someone will wink and turn it into some sick awful joke. It’s gross and makes people fear important, caring and supportive relationships.

Tldr: u can b close with ur family members/care about kids without it being incestuous or pedophilic.

Minnesota, they say, is the land of 10,000 lakes. If we’re being honest (which I suppose we must be), there are 11,842. Divided amongst Minnesota’s 5.457 million people, each citizen gets two ten-thousandths of a percent of a lake. 0.0002%. I imagine that they carry the lakewater around with them in a pitcher, or perhaps a small vial around their necks. On the first day of kindergarten, the children whip out their droplets of lake for show and tell, explaining which lake it comes from — Lake Superior, Beckendorf Pond, Lake Eleventh Crow Wing. I imagine as well that this is why Minnesotans are at the forefront of progressive environmental efforts. They are more attached to their land than I will ever be.

hey just because a 16 year old girl posts a picture of herself in a swimsuit or bikini and its “legal to have sex with 16 year olds” in your state/country, that doesn’t excuse disgusting predatory actions such as commenting about her body and/or sending her sexual messages.
let kids express themselves without nasty grown adults trying to sexualize everything they do. wearing swimsuits does not give anyone the right of way to talk about how “sexy” they think you are. stop making teenagers feel objectified because you couldn’t keep it in your pants.
