Now that “Produce 101 Season 2” has come to an end and the final 11 members have been chosen to debut in Wanna One, it’s time to put the spotlight on some of the underrated trainees who weren’t able to get enough screen time on the show.
Since the list would go on forever if I were to talk about every single underrated contestant, I’ve narrowed it down to those who didn’t make it to the top 35.…
it always makes me laugh, how strangely hard it is for me to write nice things about you. and it’s because you suck.
nah, I’m kidding.
it’s because there is so much about you that I like, and you’re so infuriating, because you give me something new to like just when I think it’s not possible to anymore. I mean, you’re supposed to have a limit of some sort, aren’t you? apparently not, man. but that isn’t altogether surprising, because it’s not like it’s possible to fit you inside of a box. here is you: a dragon, a princess, a farmer, a writer, a musician, a witch woo woo, a big fucking hoe — and so much more. and I can’t even really be mad about it, because you are so fucking inspiring. you are so much. so much, too much, to ever just be one thing. and to tell you the truth, it makes my breath catch all the time.
I could go on forever about your strength; you are resilient, and patient, and possess will and integrity in absurdly excessive amounts. I mean, you’re also a stubborn ass, and that serves as a punchline for many of my jokes, and will continue to do so – but I admire you for it all the same. I know that you are remarkable. just looking at you makes me braver, makes me want to push myself a little harder, gives me a little more gumption to be myself unapologetically.
but what I am awed by just as much, if not more, is that you are not just tenacity and hardiness. you are also exceptionally kind. you are one of the most inherently nurturing people I have ever had the pleasure of knowing, whether it is concerning nature, or animals, or the people in your life. you are so relentlessly wonderful. you just aren’t a pushover in any sense of the word. instead? you are fair, and decent, and considerate. you are somebody who is trustworthy. disciplined. dependable. you don’t believe me when I tell you this, but you are magic. not glittering, or fantastical, or always beautiful; just something a little bit more, you know? a mighty fistful of extraordinariness.
