wonder woman: ends of the earth

I'm gonna summarize the whole DC Multiverse AND NO ONE CAN STOP ME
  • Earth-0: The default universe where the New 52 takes place and stuff
  • Earth-1: You know those graphic novels written by J. Michael Straczynski, Geoff Johns, and Jeff Lemire that made new young versions of Superman, Batman, and the Teen Titans? That's where this is
  • The fact they all have "Earth One" in their titles also might've been a clue
  • Earth-2: It's where Earth 2 took place (hence the name)
  • It got destroyed by Darkseid, but now the Justice Society heroes have a NEW Earth 2
  • It's a whole thing
  • Earth-3: Good is evil, evil is good, and everyone's an asshole
  • Earth-4: Home to Grant Morrison's Watchmen homage starring the Charleton Comics characters. I like it more than the actual Watchmen because it doesn't have the Comedian.
  • Earth-5: Home to Captain Marvel. It's essentially a redone version of the Pre-Crisis Earth-S. Also everything is drawn by Cameron Stewart, and that's always a plus.
  • Earth-6: Home to Stan Lee's "Just Imagine" versions of the DC heroes. Also this Wonder Woman's design is awesome.
  • Earth-7: A reference to the Marvel Ultimate Universe. The Gentry destroyed it at the start of Multiversity, leaving only Thunderer alive. He's basically Aborigines Thor.
  • Earth-8: A reference to the normal Marvel Universe. The Hulk equivalent, Behemoth, is blue and wears a diaper.
  • I don't get it either.
  • Earth-9: Home to the Tangent Universe created by Dan Jurgens. The character's names are familiar, but their powers and appearances are different. For example, Harvey Dent is the Superman, a being of unmatched mental power. Green Lantern raises the dead. That kind of stuff.
  • Earth-10: Kal-L is raised by Hitler and helps conquer the world. Uncle Sam reemerges years later to kick his ass.
  • Earth-11: The gender swapped universe, with Superwoman, Batwoman, and Wonderous Man, who has a very spiffy cape.
  • Earth-12: Remember Batman The Animated Series, Justice League, and Batman Beyond? This is where all of that took place.
  • Earth-13: A universe where magic is the dominant power. The Superman equivalent here is Superdemon, who is basically Etrigan with Superman's powers. Which is awesome.
  • Earth-14: Unknown
  • Earth-15: It USED to be the perfect Earth until Superboy-Prime had a temper tantrum back in Countdown and blew it the f*ck up. Now all that's left is a Green Lantern battery called the Cosmic Grail.
  • Earth-16: Superman basically ended all crime right before he died and left his robot army to guard the planet, so the current generation of heroes are kinda bored.
  • Earth-17: Some dumbass pressed the big red button in 1963, and the world got nuked. Now the Atomic Knights of Justice have to ride their giant dogs around and try not to get killed by Darkseid.
  • Earth-18: A slightly different version of the Justice Riders universe. They have a telegraph Internet.
  • Earth-19: Home to the stories Batman: Gotham by Gaslight and Wonder Woman: Amazonia.
  • Earth-20: Home to Doc Fate and the Secret Society of Superheroes. Also I want to cosplay as Doc Fate or the Mighty Atom. Because they both look cool.
  • Earth-21: Home to the characters from A New Frontier by Darwyn Cooke.
  • Earth-22: Home of the characters from Mark Waid and Alex Ross' Kingdom Come. You should read it, by the way.
  • Earth-23: Where all the heroes are black and Batman's the token white guy. Also Superman is president.
  • Earths 24 and 25 are unknown.
  • Earth-26: Home of Captain Carrot and the Zoo Crew. It operates on cartoon physics.
  • Earth-27 and Earth-28 are unknown.
  • Earth-29: The Bizarroverse. It am not opposite of normal universe at all. It am completely normal.
  • Earth-30: Home of the characters from Superman: Red Son. Which I also recommend.
  • Earth-31: Everyone's a pirate.
  • Earth-32: Home of Aquaflash, Bat-Lantern, Wonderhawk, Black Arrow, and Supermartian.
  • Earth-33: The real world.
  • Earth-34: A reference to Astro City. Also Bruce Wayne was inspired by a stingray in this universe.
  • Earth-35: A reference to Image Comics' Supreme. Also Bruce was inspired by an owl this time.
  • Earth-36: Home to Justice 9, who are homages to Big Bang Comics. This Bruce was inspired by a suit of armor.
  • Earth-37: It starts as Batman: Thrillkiller, but then it gets really weird. I'm not sure what it becomes.
  • Earth-38: Where Superman and Batman: Generations takes place. The characters there age in real time.
  • Earth-39: A reference to T.H.U.N.D.E.R. Agents.
  • Earth-40: The evil version of Earth-20. Also Sinestro wears a very nice suit.
  • Earth-41: A reference to early Image Comics, although thankfully Liefeld isn't involved. Also I really like their Wonder Woman's design.
  • Earth-42: Full of adorable chibi version of the DC heroes and villains who are actually robot minions of the Empty Hand.
  • Earth-43: All the superheroes are vampires. Also this is the only other Earth besides Earth-3 to have an Ultraman instead of Superman.
  • Earth-44: All the heroes are robots.
  • Earth-45: Home of Superdoomsday, who is what happens when a clearly evil corporations turns Superman into an antihero.
  • Earth-46 is unknown.
  • Earth-47: Home to the Love Syndicate of Dreamworld (Sunshine Superman, Magic Lantern, and Speed Freak) Grant Morrison made in Animal Man years ago. Also home to Brother Power the Geek, a Bruce Wayne who was inspired by a shooting star, and Prez.
  • Earth-48: This world is basically every comic book cliche multiplied by a million. They have super-FOOD here, for crying out loud.
  • Earth-49 is unknown.
  • Earth-50: Remember the Justice Lords from that one episode of Justice League? This is where they're from.
  • Earth-51: Where all of Jack Kirby's DC creations live. Kamandi, OMAC, and the New Gods all live here.
  • And that's the multiverse.

Just imagine for a second that this is Diana.

Imagine how many romances she’s has seen starting and ending in the 100 years she’s been roaming Earth. But still, at times, she comes across a couple who looks at each other with so much love that her faith in humanity is restored anew, even though her heart aches a little as she remembers the way Steve once looked at her.

Super Shallurklance

@syeriane @shallurklancentric as promised, some cute Shallurklance, but with a cute cliffhanger ;3

“Is everyone in my apartment building a superhero?”
More like Lance is the normal guy who usually ends up taking care of his neighbors after they go out to fight crime and befriends them all, but has a pining crush on three of his neighbors bc fuck he’s too poly and bi to function-

Anyways, Pidge has plant powers and hacking skills, Hunk is basically an earth bender, Keith is a fucking dragon, Shiro can fly and use super strength, Allura is Wonder Woman but has cats, and Coran is the landlord of the building.

There are Major powers and Minor powers. Those with Major powers are usually in the Hero or Villain business. Those with Minor powers are generally sidekicks or civilians. Lance and Coran have Minor powers. Lance can pull water from the air or from anywhere within ten feet. It’s not very strong but it helps to clean wounds. Coran has the ability to bend metals. Enjoy ;3

"Is everyone in my apartment building a superhero?” Lance groaned, eying the pretty new girl moving in.

"No, not everyone. You aren’t. I think she’s the Hero Altea though. The hair certainly matches.” Lance’s above floor neighbor, Pidge, yawned from her spot leaning against the railing next to him.

“As in the city female favorite, Altea? Great. Let me guess, you guys are gonna show her the best place to patch up after a fight?” Lance asked defeatedly, narrowing cold blue eyes at the grinning superhero girl.

“You know it, Lance! I’m not taking chances! Also, do you have any more tea? I’m out of green leaf and I know you have an extra stock somewhere.” Pidge poked him in the side.

Lance sighed. “Yeah yeah, I bought a new box yesterday. Come on, I’ll make you a cup.”

Hours later, an explosion rocked the city and sure enough, as Lance calmly drank his hot cocoa in front of the TV, the news coverage showed the Voltron team plus Altea herself fighting against a massive metal monster.

The Voltron team, aka Lance’s neighbors in the Lion Apartments.

Black, a powerful hero with indestructibility and the gift of flight, his powers mostly originating in his prosthetic arm.

Olkari, a small hero with the ability to manipulate plants to her will, no matter the size. She could also hack anything, which was what she was currently doing to the monster’s mainframe.

Balmeran, the bulky hero with extreme strength. He was known for using the ground and environment to his advantage.

Red, the original partner of Black’s and gifted with extreme, nearly uncontrollable power. His flames could melt anything, as well as change him into a dragon if he felt like it.

And Altea, a woman with super strength, speed, and energy manipulation. Usually sending it out in the form of lightning or beams, usually white or pink, sometimes blue.

The creature went down after a short while, and the camera followed the heroes launching away in different directions.

But Lance knew where they would all end up eventually.

He came back from a quick trip to the supermarket and groaned when he found the lock picked and half open from a cute little vine, seemingly innocent.

“Pidge! What have I told you about breaking into my house through the front door?! The balcony sliding door is always unlocked you know!” The irritated Cuban called as he entered his home, noting the dirty tracks on the carpet.

“And Hunk! I trusted you to keep Keith in line during that fight, and now half the city is rubble! Keith, did you even shower properly before you came here?! Hi Shiro, Miss Altea. Pidge! Get out of the tea cabinet! I just gave you a box yesterday!”

Lance set his bags on the coffee table in front of both Shiro and the startled Altea before marching over to yank Pidge away from his tea storage, a small whip of water putting out a small fire left on Keith’s head.

Lance ushered everyone to a seat on the various couches in the main room. “Okay, who’s first? I got extra gauze this time, and special disinfectant for rust bacteria.”

Lance pulled water from a nearby cup and wrapped it around a particularly nasty burn on Shiro’s arm, the hero Altea looking on in fascination as the water slowly started massaging impurities from the blood and skin.

“So, miss Altea, I’m Lance. I usually patch these guys up after a fight, so I’m guessing they decided to bring you around too?” Said male asked the white haired heroine, raising an eyebrow and using another small water whip to clean up the blood on her cheek.

“Ah, well, Olkari insisted, since you are very trustworthy and she mentioned you keep a wide variety of tea?” Altea admitted, Pidge piping up from her seat trying to wrangle Keith into using an ice pack.

“Call me Pidge! We all live in the same building anyways, and Lance here knows us all on first name basis so we might as well use it ourselves!” The tiny plant hero chirped triumphantly as she managed to headlock Keith and press the ice against the nasty bruise on his back.

“I’m Keith, Shiro’s boyfriend and partner in heroism.” The man wheezed from where his friend was currently crushing his back as she ‘tended’ to him.

Shiro waved with his prosthetic arm. “I’m Shiro, nice to be working with you, Miss Altea.”

Hunk came back from the kitchen, stirring what looked to be a bowl full of chocolate chip cookie dough. “Sorry Lance, I borrowed some stuff for cookies. Also, hi, I’m Hunk and I’m usually the one to feed these people because somehow none of them know how to cook.”

The bulky man leveled a glare at his three teammates, each glancing away with a sheepish smile or a nervous chuckle.

“I kind of know how to cook!” Keith replied defensively, pouting.

“Keith, charred lumps of god knows what does not equal cooking.” Lance deadpanned, finishing his task of bandaging Altea’s arm.

The heroine snorted out a half giggle half wheeze, and Lance had to mentally stomp on the growing attraction in his heart. He already had two impossible crushes, he didn’t need a third…

“Well, my name is Allura. It is nice to meet all of you!” She introduced herself, and the others all grinned back.

“Well now that all the introductions are out of the way, who wants tea? I also have hot chocolate and coffee.” Lance asked, standing up and moving towards the kitchen.

He was sweating from the effort of holding up five separate threads of water. The ones that were currently cooling and healing the burn wounds on the 5 heroes.

Shiro wanted black coffee, Pidge wanted green tea with extra sugar, Hunk wanted a specific amount of sugar and cream in his coffee, Keith demanded chamomile tea, and Allura politely requested juniberry petal tea.

He didn’t notice Keith intently watching him serve their drinks, didn’t see Allura narrow her eyes when Lance swayed slightly, didn’t realize he was collapsing until Shiro practically vaulted over the couch to catch him on his way back to the kitchen.

He did, however, notice the worried voices whispering near him as he slowly woke up to someone stroking his hair. It felt nice, nothing like the stress his job had been putting him through lately or the strain of using his Power too much recently.

He sighed and rolled over to fall back asleep, the stroking in his hair never faltering.

Meanwhile, Allura frowned as she watched Red, Keith, pet Lance’s hair as he kept vigil over the man on the couch.

“It’s strange, normally he doesn’t collapse like that. I always tell him to rest after he uses his Power and take a break now and then, but today must have been a bad day to ask for help.” Shiro murmured, gazing at Lance in concerned fondness.

“For someone who exercises his Power so much, I wouldn’t think something so small as purifying wounds on five people would cause him to collapse. Perhaps he has been working too hard lately?” Allura asked, placing a comforting hand on Shiro’s shoulder.

“He isn’t home as much, actually. I’ve seen him come home real late at night and leave at really early hours.” Keith piped up, quiet so as not to wake Lance up.

Shiro sighed. “He has a communication problem, which is surprising for someone who’s so talkative.”

Allura giggled lightly. “I find it quite endearing. You were right to bring me here and convince me to move into this building. I believe Lance will prove to become a large part of our lives. I just hope he accepts us when the time comes.”

She moved over to crouch next to Keith, her fingers joining the Fire Hero’s tangling through Lance’s soft, silky hair. Keith hummed lightly and tipped his head onto Allura’s shoulder.

Shiro folded his arms over his chest and smiled as his girlfriend and boyfriend watched hopefully over the object of their affections.

After all, it was a secret that Black, Red and Altea were not friends, but instead a trio of polyamorous lovers. Not even Pidge or Hunk knew that Shiro and Keith knew Allura a lot more intimately than they’d acted like today.

One day, Shiro hoped, Lance would make it a group of four.

He wished for that day to come soon.

What do you think? Sequel, maybe? :3

The Harlequin Formula || Peter Parker x Reader

You all know about those short novella like romance novels published under the name Harlequin, right? Well, there’s also many manga artists who often transcribe the written text into a graphic novel form that I just adore reading!

So reading Harlequin comics is like one of the things I do for like, guilty pleasure and stuff because those kinds of comics is super pandering to young women (like me). Sure, a lot of the times the romance seems forced and unlikely to happen, but let me tell you, I read a Harlequin comic last night and the fact that it had a strong heroine who wasn’t afraid of the main love interest AND could read him like a book-

I was hooked.

So this whole story is inspired by the whole “harlequin formula” usually seen in those types of stories and how the ‘reader character’ tries to break them in hopes of finding a genuine type of love.

I hope you readers will enjoy this story ;w; .

When you were younger, you often filled your romantic daydreams with Harlequin novels. You didn’t know what true love felt like and often read these short novellas in order to get a glimpse of how love worked.

It was through these short stories that you learned the following things:

Love is when a demure woman falls for a powerful man.

The powerful man is often a multi-billionaire of some sort who comes off as cold and aloof, but is innately missing something all the same.

And whatever he was missing would always be love, to which the leading lady would offer him almost unconditionally, regardless of how cruel he was to her.

After the end of these novels, you would find yourself with tears in your eyes at just how wonderful the love story was. “That’s what true love has to be about, finding love in unexpected places while following your man to the ends of the earth.”

Each time you would finish a story, you would sigh and fall back against your twin bed, your hair fanning out beneath your head as you clutched the novel to your chest before softly murmuring (as if hoping that the more times you said it, then it would likely come true), “I honestly can’t wait to fall in love.”

Mrs. America-Prologue

Summary- Captain America x y/n Kent - Y/n Kent is the daughter of superman and wonder woman. Her parents send her to another universe because their world is ending. Here she meets fury and he helps her get used to this new world and has been working unofficially as his assistant since she was 20. Then Loki attacks and she has to step up and become a member of the avengers.

Message-There is basically no interaction with any marvel characters in this chapter. This is 100% just background information on the reader. Sorry if this sucks!!!

Word Count-547

“Your name is Y/N Kent.” You said to yourself while looking into your foggy bathroom mirror. “Your parents’ names were Diana and Clark Kent. Their dead. Your whole world is dead. But you’re not. You survived. ” This was your mantra. You said it to yourself every morning. If you didn’t remind yourself of your old life it seemed like a dream-or maybe a nightmare.

You grew up happy. Living in Kansas with your little super family. Your father was Kal-El of Krypton who was known as Superman on your earth. While your mother was Wonder Woman, the God killer, the immortal princess of ‎Themyscira

You had been training to fight alongside them your entire life. But when you were 14 they came, an unstoppable force that not even your parents could defeat. You did not know where they came from or why they came for your home world and you probably never would. You had been on the Watch Tower with your parents and friends when they came and blew the earth to smithereens. The war for the earth had ended before any of the league members knew that it had even started. The next thing you remember is your parents shoving you into a pod. While they were doing that your Uncle Bruce was shoving Dick into the pod on your left and your Uncle Barry was shoving Wally into the pod on your right.  You could still hear your parents telling you how much they loved you. Your father handed you his cape, while your mother handed you her tiara, bracelets and lasso. Then they both kissed your cheek for the last time and then they closed your pod. After this your memory of what happened gets a little hazy. They had opened some sort of portal while your pod filled with some sort of gas. The next thing you remember is waking up and seeing a gun pointed at you.

Turns out your parents had been more prepared for the end of your world than you thought. You had found a crystal from your father’s fortress in your pod with a message from them. It said that they loved you and their only wish was for you to live a happy life surrounded by people who you loved and who loved you in return. They said that since you were watching this that it couldn’t be them who filled your life with love anymore. The crystal has many more videos but they are for special occasions like birthdays, Christmases, and your wedding day. The crystal also had a video explaining that Dick and Wally had been sent to other universes far away from the one that you had been sent to. They had separated the three of you to keep you guys safe.

Suddenly you heard a knock at your door. You used your super speed to finish getting dressed and then you went and opened your door.

“Today’s the day.” Fury said while leaning on your door frame.

“Please, it’s not like I haven’t been your assistant before. Today it just becomes my official job title.” You said while grinning at him. Fury had found you and took you in when you were 14, scared and alone.

“That’s not what I meant Y/N.” He murmured grimly.

“What do you mean?”  You asked

“I mean today is the day the world meets Super Woman.”

He's Your Ex Husband and Him And Your Daughter Don't Celebrate Christmas With You

Waking up on Christmas morning is inevitably a joyful feeling. It’s the day for giving and receiving, loving and sharing. Although, this Christmas, Y/n woke up feeling a knew level of loneliness. Harry, her ex husband, is celebrating this years holiday at his girlfriends house. Y/n’s daughter, Tracie, is joining them as well, since Harry had begged to celebrate Christmas with her and his girlfriend at once. Y/n couldn’t say no, considering Harry rarely got to see Tracie with the busyness of his job. She took it as she wasn’t invited. Harry’s new girlfriend, Cara, and her had never gotten along. It was a typical ex wife and new girlfriend move, constant and uncontrollable feelings of jealousy the more minutes spent with one another.

Sighing, Y/n hops out of bed. She has no plans for the day, so she immediately heads out for a walk. She’s aware of the bitter cold air, and the ice forming around her, but she figures that maybe, just maybe, something could relate to how she’s felt these last couple of months. Hugging the jacket closer, Y/n shivers at the gusts of white winds blowing against her. Her fragile body becoming even more sensitive, and she quickly partakes in the action of taking out a cigarette. Placing it between her lips, lighting it, she is more calm that she has been.

How did she get so lonely so fast? That’s all she’s been wondering for the past couple of months. She used to be the happiest woman on Earth. Gifted with a beautiful baby girl. Gifted with the perfect husband. Gifted with a roof over her head and love in the air. She doesn’t understand why it ended up with her, walking alone on Christmas morning, burning the pain away.

A part of her blames Harry. The other parts don’t want to, because she’s undoubtably in love with him, and she wants to forgive him for the mistakes he’s made. But that other part of her, that big part of her, knows that this wouldn’t be her new life if he just would have just loved her. A month after Tracie was born, Harry had told Y/n that he had met another woman. He met her at a business meeting, where she was hired to work under his new company. Ever since the day they met, he had loved her. Harry didn’t cheat, per say, but he had fallen out of love with his wife and fallen in love with a client. It surly was enough to file for divorce, where Y/n later gained custody of Tracie.

In the thoughts of her daughter, Y/n begins to wonder what she’s doing. What gifts she’s unwrapping, her reactions to them. What Christmas song they’re listening to, if she knows the words. What food they’re making for her, if she’s devoured every bit of it. She decides to call in. It’s around noon, and she knows without a doubt that they are already done, or nearly done, with her gifts.

Taking a seat on the nearest park bench, Y/n calls Harry. Tracie is opening her last gift when Harry gets the call from Y/n.

“Tracie! It’s mummy!” Harry calls, smiling before answering the call.

“Y/n! Merry Christmas!” He cheers.

“Mummy, mummy, mummy!” Tracie chants, rushing over to her father as she jumps on top of him.

“Merry Christmas! How is everything going?” Y/n asks, discreetly taking a drag of her half-finished cigarette.

“It’s going great! Tracie just opened her last gift. Which I believe was a—”

"A new American Girl Doll! We got matching pajamas and everything!“ Tracie squeals.

"That’s amazing, baby! Mumma misses you very much. You’re going to have to show me your new twin tomorrow, honey!"

"No! No! I want to show you today! Daddy, can we visit mummy? I miss her and I want her to play dolls with me!"

"Baby, Cara wanted us to—"

"But I want mummy.” Tracie pouts, tugging at the hem of his shirt in desperation.

Harry sighs, looking at his daughter with so much care and love. Who could say no to her begs? He doesn’t want to see her sad, especially on her favorite holiday.

“Yeah, yeah, okay. Y/n, we’ll meet you in a bit. Maybe after some lunch at tea?”

Y/n smiles slightly, throwing her now used up cigarette on the concrete before stepping on it with the bottom of her boots.

“That’s fine. I have to clean up the house anyways, if you guys are coming over. How about I make some food, or something?"

"Whatever works for you. We’ll be there in two or so hours. I suppose we can exchange gifts today then?"

"That’s fine. I should start getting to work. See you later, Harry, bye!"

After hanging up, Y/n’s quick to walk back to her house. It wasn’t planned for her to see Tracie or Harry until tomorrow evening. She’s been planning on going through a lonely, sad, long Christmas. But now she’s going to be with the two people she loves with all her heart, and she can’t be more excited.

The first hour and a half have been consisting of constant cleaning and baking. Once everything was complete, she sat down to watch Tracie’s favorite, The Polar Express, to see if her mood would brighten to it’s fullest. It’s in this moment, where she is sitting alone, on Christmas, and having nobody to turn to her time of sadness when she realizes that she misses Harry. Now more than ever, she wishes she could hold him how she had before. She wishes they could love each other the way they used to, that is, if he ever loved her back. It was times like these when she usually had Tracie to pull her back up, but she doesn’t have her now, when she needs her most. And she can’t help but to cry for her pathetic feelings she has for her ex husband, and how much she still relies on him for the sake of her happiness.

Wiping her tears, Y/n hears the front door open without warning.

"Mummy! Mummy!” Tracie calls, clapping her hands in the air in excitement.

“Oh my little angel!” Y/n cheers, lifting her tiny body up until her neck reached her face.

She buried her face in her daughter’s neck, thankful for her to be home when she most needed her.

"Missed you so much. So, so much" Y/n whispers, peppering soft kisses along her neck. “

That tickles, mummy, that tickles!” Tracie laughs, her squeals of sensitivity bouncing off the walls. She places her down on the floor, and Tracie immediately takes off to watch The Polar Express. Y/n laughs to herself, shaking her head before turning to look at Harry. He looks concerned, but he doesn’t say anything. He’s quick to hug her, and she could tell he was trying his best to make her feel better, for whatever the reason she was upset.

“Merry Christmas, Y/n” he smiles.

“Merry Christmas."

It turns silent, and the only thing that they could make out was the movie blaring from the speakers. Y/n wipes her eyes again, remnants of tears still leaving evidence upon her skin.

"Well, shall we join Tracie?"

"Y/n, what’s wrong?"

"I don't—"

"I know you more than anybody. I’ve studied every part of you, I know you too much to know something is wrong."

"Nothing’s wrong! Can we please just watch the movie?” Y/n begs, scared that she’ll end up showing her true emotions.

“Y/n, why don’t you talk to me anymore? You used to always talk to me.” Harry frowns at his words, because he finally realizes that it hurts him that she doesn’t talk to him like she used to. To this day, even despite the fact he is in love with another woman, Y/n will always be the biggest part of him. She was his everything, his everything and all. But not in the way she used to be.

“I don’t have to talk to you anymore.” She cries, “besides, it doesn’t matter. Nothing’s changed. I’m always negative, I’ve always been negative. That’s why you fell out of love with me, right? Lets just watch the movie, okay?"

Harry frowns, but quickly obliges to her suggestion.

They take a seat on the couch, sitting close together, because that’s how Tracie likes it. Half way through the movie, Tracie has drifted ff to sleep. She had woken up too early to stay up all day, but she wouldn’t be missing much to begin with.

 "Y/n?” Harry whispers.

“Mhm?” He fidgets, nervous at what he was about to do.

Harry figures that what he’s about to do needs to be done, to bring some closure for himself. Maybe even to help her. He has never seen Y/n this upset in his life. She just looks so lost, almost disconnected from her surroundings. Tracie has told him that she cries at night, but he never knew why. But he can  see it now. The way she shies away from him, closes all her barriers around him, he can see it  now. He knows it’s him, it’s him that makes her cry, that makes her burn her insides with toxic, and that makes her lose trust in him.

“Can—can I hold you?”

Y/n’s eyes go wide. What? Why would he ask her that? Why would he do that to her? She’s dying to say no, because he doesn’t love her anymore, but she’s still in love with him, and this will bring her even more pain.

But she needs this. She needs the comfort and the love and the support she’s had lack of. What else was she supposed to do?

Without replying, she moves into his body. His strong arms hold her tightly against him, as in a way to keep her close. This is all he wants, for her to realize that it doesn’t have to be so bad. She doesn’t have to be so sad.

“I care for you, more than anything. I may be in love with Cara, and madly in love with her, but Y/n, you’re you. My first kiss, my first time, my first love. I gave you everything. You gave me everything. I opened up to you in ways I haven’t even opened up to myself. You showed me the God damn world, Y/n. I still love you. I love you so, so much. I always will. You’re always apart of something in me. I just want you to remember that."

Y/n has silent tears running down her face. She’s rubbing his skin with her thumb. She’s upset. Upset because she loves him more than anybody. Upset because she will never be able to let him go. She knows she should, she knows. But she can’t. She will never.

"I just wish it could be how it was before” she sniffles, her gaze blank, falling on the floor.

Harry pushes her back towards him a bit more, maybe for her body to shield his broken heart. Maybe just to try and understand why he couldn’t love her like that anymore. He doesn’t know. But it was instinct to hold her; protect her. Because he’s still protective of her. He doesn’t want her to shatter and break to pieces.

“I wish it could be, too.” he whispers. “I really wish it could be.”

The First Time Ever I saw Your Face...

I thought the Sun rose in your eyes….

…And the Moon and the Stars were the gifts you gave…

… and the first time ever I kissed your mouth, I felt the earth move in my hand…

… Like trembling heart of a captive bird…

… And the first time ever i lay with

… I felt your heart so close to mine…

… And I knew our joy, would fill the earth…

… And last till the end of time, my love….

…. The first time ever I saw, your face…

The First Time I Ever Saw Your Face- Roberta Flack

anonymous asked:

why is shayera one of your favorite characters? ^.^

i’m only seeing this now, sorry! :)

but anyways, i like her because she’s tough and all that but she has a soft side…like the way she interacts with solomon grundy in “the terror beyond” and “wake the dead” was always compelling to me. for whatever reason, she really cares, she understands this ‘monster’ and mourns him (twice actually, cos in “wake the dead” she’s forced to kill him in order to bring him peace)

she’s also a wonderfully compelling character because she essentially betrays the team - remember how she was a thanagarian spy all along and her race (including the man she was engaged to…he was a dick tbh!) ended up invading the earth and a lot of ppl hated her for that including the league at some point

(i always felt that wonder woman was the most hurt by shayera’s action tbh cos she’s an amazon who always took comfort in the trust of other women and shayera broke that trust 1000%)

but she knows she has to fight for redemption, she knows that ppl despise her for what she did and rightfully so - so she reinvents herself

i also like her for a whole lot of other reasons including her relationship with john + the fact that they have a son in the future lol

It’s the weekly graphic novel round-up!

Maiden’s Top 5 WonderBat Comics!

Hello Amazonians and Batpeople alike! As a thank you to our now 100+ followers, I wanted to do a list of my top five favourite WonderBat comic storylines, so you all can go out and buy these titles if you feel like owning a piece of your favourite superhero couple. (To make it easier for your purchase, I made sure to only select recent titles over the last few years) Let’s get started!

#5.) Sensation Comics featuring Wonder Woman #37 a.k.a “I knew there was a reason that I liked you”

This issue isn’t heavily WonderBat-related, since Diana spends her time rescuing a child, confronting Harley Quinn and working with Batgirl (if you want to see Wonder Woman function with someone else in the BatClan, this is the story for you!) The snipit of WonderBat we get at the end is very cute, though. It’s small, but prominent because it highlights their similarities in a way that I don’t think he can relate to anyone else – hero and anti-hero alike.

That’s it. He likes her, his teammate and friend. It may seem unimportant, but remember that she has already been on a mission that day, she was in Gotham working with someone else, yet she was given permission by Batman himself to help him take care of another Scarecrow scheme. (If you remember the original Justice League cartoons, Batman only ever invited Wonder Woman into Gotham and vehemently banned everyone else, the stinker.) Their relationship is highlighted here because they are both always ready to fight crime in a way that feels slightly threatening, doesn’t it? It really is the primary focus of an Amazonian and the extremely warped, incredibly strong Batman to always be prepared to take down any threat they can get their hands on. (Wonder Woman was quite rough with the thugs in this issue too which also would function well with Batfleck’s Batman, wouldn’t you say?)

#4.) Sensation Comics featuring Wonder Woman #12 a.k.a. “Thank you, Bruce”

Dr. Destiny is responsible for draining a bunch of kids of their dreams to gain power, and ultimately turns them into husks of their former selves. Diana, clearly upset, is informed by Batman that the children are in comas and should recover…but that is not enough to lift her spirits. So what does he do?

He tells her about his father and how their family used to leave behind their stresses for a while. Yes, Bruce disclosed information about himself in order to help his friend and then proceeded to get her the address of the very same place the Waynes used to go to in order to get away. Seeing Bruce open up to Diana is a testament to not only her character, but the relationship they have. It is a very short story that involves Solomon Grundy mucking up her getaway, but it gives Diana the reprieve she was looking for. When she does return to the Watch Tower, she gives Batman a short summary of her trip and then thanks him with this famous panel:

That little smile of his afterward is one not often seen. Their relationship is all about subtlety and secret moments and I really think this highlights their closeness, even if it isn’t considered romantic by everyone who reads it.

#3.) Blackest Night: Wonder Woman Chapter 2 / Blackest Night Volume Two a.k.a. “Bruce…”

Though she tried to fight the good fight against the reincarnated Maxwell Lord (I’ll get to him soon!), Diana succumbs to the power of the Black Lantern rings and begins to decimate those who oppose her, specifically poor Mera. She speaks ruthlessly, she is stabbed by a trident but goes on to beat down her friend, all while pleading inside of her mind to be free from the ring’s control. After gaining some semblance of herself, she flies off and encounters (what we learn later to be) hallucinations of Donna Troy, Cassie Sandsmark and even her mother Hipployta, killing them all. At this point in the DC universe, Bruce died before this storyline took place, which is why Diana is so confused to see him suddenly appear to save her. She fights him off but it doesn’t matter when Bruce does this:

(Dang, his thigh is between her legs! That’s an intense kiss for a hallucination!)

Aphrodite – the goddess of Love – quickly appears and helps Diana acquire a ring of violet energy, which represents the Star Sapphires, the Lantern Corps of Love. It turns out that the island was a false location made for Diana to let loose her Black Lantern inclinations before giving her this power, so that she could help Hal and the others save the day. Later when she is tasked with calming a Red Lantern Mera (the power of rage), their powers clash and while Diana sees a vision of Bruce again, Mera sees Arthur (her husband, Aquaman). We also see Superman’s cloak on Diana’s back, but never Kal himself. Interesting, no?

#2.) JLA Issue #90 / JLA Volume 7 a.k.a. “One More Day”

This is one of the biggest moments in WonderBat comic history (aside from the battle-fueled kiss that led up to this moment) because Diana uses J’onn’s Transconsciousness Articulator in order to decipher her feelings for Bruce… Basically, she wants to dig deep into her subconscious and see just what it is she envisions as a potential future with Bruce could be. It is something she feels she needs in order to sort herself out, since the ever illusive Batman can never seem to coordinate schedules with her to talk about the kiss they shared before dying side by side in battle. Diana sees a total of seven potential futures that she could imagine for them, but I believe the first one is the most telling.

(ignore the explosion - it goes into another future!)

It is also the one that the machine repeats at the end of the issue, when Bruce asked her if they had some Greek tragedy and Diana says it was terrible. However, contradicting her, the conversation of ‘one more day’ replays in the very last panel. There was a vision of her as Batwoman in Gotham, one where the Joker kills Batman and ultimately crushes Diana’s soul, one where she petitioned the gods of Olympus to have children with Bruce – I feel as though the tenderness and depth of Bruce’s last day on Earth really highlighted the romance that is WonderBat.

#1.) Who Is Wonder Woman? a.k.a. “They love you, Diana”

This is by far one of the BEST Wonder Woman-centric comics I’ve ever read, and it has so much WonderBat, I could not be happier!

Getting back to Maxwell Lord (for those who may be unfamiliar with him), he was a man who was mentally manipulating Superman to the point that Diana had to take matters into her own hands; she had no choice but to snap his neck and end his life in order to free her friend. Both Clark and Bruce essentially disowned Diana after she killed him though, forcing her to have a bit of an identity crisis. For a year, she was ‘off the map’. When a few of her villains start to appear and call for her to show herself, they refuse to accept Donna as a distraction – who has been donning the mantle of Wonder Woman while Diana is gone – and demand to speak with her directly. This forces her out of retirement and entangles her in the sticky web of a few of her villains, including Cersi the witch and a surprise enemy by the end.

Where is the WonderBat, you ask? Well, Bruce is the one responsible for helping her to get her life back on track by designing her civilian identity (with suggestions from Clark), we learn quite early on in the story; even if he was upset with her for murdering Maxwell Lord, it seems as though he eventually forgave her and understood the struggles she was facing on her own with the impossible decision she had to make that day. He leaves her to her own devices for the majority of the story, but at the end, when she is still feeling uneasy about her return to the role, who else can cheer her on but Batman himself?

Also, why are you so close, Bruce!? If we really wanted to read between the lines, it would be easy to point out that when he is saying that the people ‘always have’ loved her, Bruce could be explaining what it is about Diana that inspires him as well, let alone his forgiveness. He clearly cares very deeply for her no matter what either of them have been through, and he highlights her greatest strength: that love is her power, not her weakness. (If only he could see that loving Diana could make him powerful, too!)

*Special Mention: ??? a.k.a. “She was part of my soul”

I don’t know which issue this is from, but if someone could let me know, I’ll edit this post and add it in!

This is one of the storylines where Donna succumbs to her cursed destiny and is killed. I don’t know where Diana is in this scene (I would assume her apartment in Washington) but Bruce is at her side while she grieves. Having had experience with death in his life, he is by her side as Diana mourns her sister. He embraces her as she cries and it is one of the most tender moments they have ever experienced together. She tries so hard to be strong but the moment she breaks down and cries, Bruce is right there to hold her. It looks as if he arrived in the first panel and was there just in time to give her the support she needed. (Note: Nightwing is there because Donna was his teammate and one of the original Titans with him…some people pair them together, even though they have never been paired together by DC.)

There you are!

My top recommendations for WonderBat comic issues. I know the images of these stories have circulated Tumblr and other sites before, so I felt it was necessary to answer the frustrating question of, “WHERE ARE THESE FROM!?” I’m sure we have all endured that craziness when looking up these two before! Any suggestions for storylines I missed? Feel free to let me know and I’ll be sure to look into them!

Enjoy! ~Maiden

What would you do? You could potentially create world peace, Donald Trump is thrown out of office, wars end, terrorist groups disappear and a new golden age is created. But you had to leave all of your friends and family forever and live on the island of Themyscira where the amazons from wonder woman live. What would you do?

So you’re saying that to end all horrors, I have to move to the gayest island that ever graced earth or any parallel universe whatsoever.

It’s sad that I can’t go into the Gal Gadot tag

Without seeing people bash Israel. Like newsflash, half of Hollywood supports Israel. And everyone is just pissy because three years ago Gal Gadot spoke about her army going into the an area ruled by a terrorist organization (Which uses children as human shields) to stop said terrorist organization, which put their own civilians in harms way. While at the same time Gal made no mention of Palestinians, simply wishing to see the end of Hamas.

Go see the Wonder Woman movie, go see it, and stop whining about something you don’t understand. Gal Gadot from what I can tell is a sweet and kind person and loves her husband and kids and just wants peace on earth.

anonymous asked:

So, the JSA. Best as Kal's contemporaries, mentors, distant predecessors?

I know I’ve mentioned this before in passing, but it bears repeating. DC has made mistakes over the years with individual parts of reboots: with Superman, or with Wonder Woman, or even with wiping a whole narrative device like the multiverse off the table. But in terms of cracking the foundations that the entirety of the shared universe is built on? Nothing but nothing even approaches what an awful, awful idea it was to make the JSA exist on the main Earth publicly preceding the Justice League by decades.

Now look, I like…well, okay, I basically just like Jay Garrick and Ted Knight, and kind of Wildcat since my roommate thinks he’s fun, but the JSA are a perfectly decent superhero team, with enough fun characters and solid narrative hooks that they absolutely merit reasonably continuous publication. If nothing else they’re genuinely historically significant to the genre, and really the medium and pop culture as a whole. But they are not as important as Superman, Batman, and Wonder Woman. They were not built to hold that kind of weight. If they were, they’d be the ones in the movies.

Just on that basic note before going into the universe as a whole: unless you’re going to majorly age up the Trinity, you’re putting the JSA as the Original Superheroes ahead of the actual original superheroes. Superman’s indisputably the guy, but once you throw in the JSA as publicly existing before him, that stops. He might still be the greatest and the example everyone ends up following, but if there were dozens upon dozens of superheroes before him, he isn’t exactly the most important thing that’s ever happened anymore. Him saving a spaceplane or Lois falling out of a helicopter of whatever goes from “Jesus Christ in Heaven above us! A hero from the sky with the strength of a million men who walks on air and kindles fire with a glance! Salvation, salvation! Truly, brothers and sisters, an age of miracles and wonders as come unto us all as gods walk the Earth!” to “Flying guy, neat! Been awhile. Did Hawkman have a kid that doesn’t need wings or something? Ooh, this guy has lasers, cool!” Much as I love him, I do not buy that the world would profoundly venerate Superman to borderline-savior status when there have already been 40 or so nice flying guys in capes before him in living memory. On the main Earth, the JSA is a ‘legacy’ that removes the in-universe significance of what they themselves are all in fact the legacy of. They reduce everything by being ‘the originals’ in a world where they’re not actually the originals. Hell, the entire reason any of this happened in the first place is because they weren’t as good as Superman, Batman, or Wonder Woman; they were cancelled because they couldn’t hang in there through the end of the Golden Age the way the big three could, but for some reason they get to have this scene:

If there was an atom of sense in this world, the follow-up to that moment wouldn’t be Alan Scott going “I have an idea.” It’d be Ted Grant with “Guys, guys, I’m flattered as I’ve ever been in my life. Seriously, you have no idea. But, uh, I’m a nonagenarian ex-boxer in a leather fetish cat outfit, and you’re fucking Superman, what are you even talking about? Is this a Red Kryptonite thing?” Seriously try and make the argument that this is a scene that should be permitted in any version of the DCU. I would sincerely love to know how that train of thought goes.

Even moving past those three, the entire post-Crisis premise of the Justice Society is that they’re the big guns in a world where they may never, ever be permitted to actually be the big guns, but we all have to collectively pretend they’re still important anyway. Yes, they’ve had plenty of good comics to their name, and nothing can undo that. But they’re not the superhero team of their world - that’s the Justice League. Great as he is, in the eyes of the world Jay Garrick isn’t The Original Flash, he’s the Old Flash or the Other Flash if he exists at all, objectively no longer the most important bearer of his own name. So you end up in a position where you get two teams: the original heroes, and the current guys. The current guys are the big, vital ones with the iconic characters who show up in the comics and movies, but aren’t the original, primal heroes, just the current generation. But that puts a team that’s been presented as secondary for decades in the roles of being the originals, the platonic champions by which the heroes we read about every month are measured against, and they just can’t live up to that, because if they could, why would the Justice League even be around? Why don’t these guys fight any of the cool villains, or have Batman, or lack a need to justify their presence the way the League does? Again, the reason the Justice League exists at all is because the JSA wasn’t able to survive, with the League being made up of the actually successful characters from that era, and revamps of the originals that went on to tremendously greater success on absolutely all fronts. And the idea that they should be narratively ‘rewarded’ for that by everyone pretending they’re anywhere near as important as Superman or Batman is flatly ridiculous.

They’re not allowed to be the leads of their universe, and it diminishes everyone involved, making the originals unable to live up to their own hype, and the main guys are presented as not being fully the icons they actually are. It’d maybe be less of a problem if the JL were clearly the direct successors of the JSA - then you’d get something out of them being around in terms of their existence stitching something positive into the fabric of the universe - but outside of Green Lantern and Flash (the former of whom has no connection to his modern counterpart, the latter of whom was just a guy who incidentally went through the same accident as the modern guy for the first decadeish of the setup of them existing in the same world), the legacy of the JSA is limited to the JSA itself. It is its own little corner of things just as much as it ever was on Earth 2, but now it upsets the fabric of the main guys.

Now that I’ve crapped all over them, I gotta say I do think they still need to be around for the reasons I said at the beginning, just either on Earth 2 or radically altered. On Earth 2, they can be the head of the table in the way they were built to be, with their elder statesmen Wonder Woman and Green Lantern and Superman and whatnot, and current guys directly descended from them who are Earth’s new Greatest Heroes but still walk in their footsteps. They can still cross over with the Justice League guys plenty just like they used to, with the two truly on equal terms (and on that note, Barry Allen being inspired by Jay Garrick is so much better when he’s from another world. It’s the difference between me being a fan of a celebrity, growing up to become a celebrity myself, and then meeting them, and becoming real-life Superman, then travelling to another universe to learn Superman is real and then we team up). Or, if you want them in the main world, make them a secret group like on Smallville, or the society of pulp heroes in the first issue of Planetary. It gives them mystique and importance and ties them even more directly into the development of the superhero as a concept by hearkening back to the 20s/30s characters they were inspired by, while maintaining the place of Superman as the first superhero, and of the lead characters of the DCU as the actual most important characters in it.

My thanks and appreciation and love to everyone who was apart of Skam...

I can’t believe that today is the last day of Skam. It feels like just yesterday I was logging onto Tumblr and seeing my feed full of countless gifs of the two precious boys who would come to change my life (and take it over!) making out spiderman style and sharing smokes with each other. I remember reblogging one of those gifs and thinking to myself “they look so cute together and they look so gone for each other, what is this show?” and thus, my downward spiral (really it was totally positive though!!) into the abyss that is called Skam began. I remember figuring out that those gifs were from season 3 and that they were already on the fifth episode of it and I went back and watched all of season 3, found season 1 and 2 and watched those, and then watched season 3 again until I was caught up. I think I’ve watched season 3 about 10 times by now and I’ve seen seasons 1 and 2 several times more as well! That’s how much I love this show, I can rewatch it so many times and still never get sick of it! I really can’t believe that we’ve reached the end- it feels so surreal. I’m so grateful for everything Skam has done for me. It has taught me so many things about some many different topics, I’ve made some great friends because of it, I’ve gotten to learn a new language and appreciate different cultures, I have so many new mottos to live by now as well. God, this show was just so good. It was so real, which is way different from most of the shows I watch. As an American, our television shows love drama and love to drop bombs for “shock value” and they love to use actors who are like 27 to portray someone who’s supposed to be 17, so the fact that Skam had actors that were really 17 playing 17 year olds and that all of the conflicts were realistic and weren’t just there to create more drama but actually had a purpose was so so refreshing and it just drew me in even more. I have loved every second of Skam and deciding to check this show out was probably the best decision of my life. This show, these actors, Julie- all of it has changed my life for the better and I know I’m never going to find something as amazing as this. I will forever cherish this show and everything it has done for me.

To Julie, thank you from the bottom of my heart for everything you have done for this show. You’ve created so many amazing characters that all represent something different and are all so genuine which allows us to see ourselves in them- they’re not perfect, they make mistakes, but they learn from those mistakes and the lessons these characters have taught us are lessons I will never ever forget. You also managed to give so much representation for so many different groups- religion, sexuality, mental illness, gender, race, abuse victims, and so many others that I have not seen before, and that in itself is truly amazing. You chose the perfect actors to be apart of your creation as well, every single one of them seems so down to earth and so genuinely good, and they are all immensely talented and work so well together. The storylines, as well, are masterpieces. Every single problem these characters faced were real problems that people face all over the world and every person that watched this show could identify with at least one of these problems. I especially enjoyed how everything was relevant and how you used parallels and symbolism so so well. This show has not only taught me so much and helped me become more aware of things, but it brought me closer to so many people around the world. I’ve made so many new friends through this show and for that I am forever grateful. Not to mention, this show has sparked an interest of languages in me, and I even started learning Norwegian! It’s such a beautiful language! You are an incredibly talented human being and I have never been more happy to have found this show. I stumbled upon a true gem when I found this one ❤

To Tarjei, god where do I even start? I started watching this show about halfway through Isak’ s season and I knew from the second I started watching that I would absolutely fall in love with you. I was totally right. I was captivated from the start. You are such an amazing actor, I literally cannot put into words how talented I think you are. Your ability to do so much and portray so many different emotions with your facial expressions and just the tiny details of each expression, it blows my mind. You’re only eleven days older than me and you’ve got more talent that I could ever imagine having. I know you’re going to go on to do the most amazing things- who are we kidding, you’ve already gone and landed yourself some wonderful roles (Grease!! My favorite musical!! I’m so excited for you!!) that I know you’ll beyond succeed in! I’ve really enjoyed watching you grow both as a person and as an actor (and as Isak, especially as Isak, that character development is wow, too good!). Throughout the years you’ve only gotten more talented and more amazing, and I am so glad that I was able to be here to witness that! You put so much passion into everything you do and I could totally see that with Isak. The way you played him was phenomenal and the way you handled his struggles and the ways he dealt with things (or didn’t) was so well done. Once again, I am at a loss for words for how insanely proud I am of you, Tarjei. I love you with all my being. Never stop being you. ❤

To Henrik, you wonderful, bright star of a human being. I’ve only “known” you since November but it feels like it’s been years. You are single handedly one of the absolute most talented people I have ever had the honor and pleasure of watching. In one of your interviews at the Skam party you said that you didn’t want to make Even a stereotypical character and that you wanted to portray mental illness in a respectful, believable way and can I just say you were beyond successful in this. Anyone that ever has to play someone with a mental illness should absolutely take notes from you! You did Even so much justice and you made him so believable and genuine and you were so very respectful about it all. Mental illnesses are not easy, and you definitely portrayed that. Your portrayal of Even taught me so so much about mental illnesses and I will forever be grateful for that. I know that you resonated with so many people through this role and you should be incredibly proud of yourself. You definitely made history with Even seeing as he not only represented living with bipolar, but also identifying as pansexual, something I don’t think I’ve ever seen before. You are a role model for so many people, myself included, and I’m so glad that Julie picked up that phone and called you. I’m still so upset that we didn’t get to see more of Even and learn more about his story and his background and explore all of his complex layers- he had such an amazing story to tell and so so much potential. Part of the reason why he had so much potential, I think, is because of you Henrik. You breathed so much life into that character and I could tell how passionate you were about that role. Every single time you came on screen I was just so captivated with how much effort you put into Even. I’m truly impressed and so so proud, I can’t even properly express it all. I’m not ready to let go of Even, that’s for sure! I’ll miss him so so much, but I know he will always live on in my heart and mind, and I know he will in yours as well. (And hey, I know a ton of people, myself included, would totally be 100% on board with and in support of you just making Even his own season- I bet you could get some of the other cast to get on board as well, if they’re not already) I know you’re going to do great things, whatever projects you have next are so lucky to have you and I can’t wait to hear all about them. Not only are you incredibly genuine when you play Even, but you’re also so genuine in real life as well. You seem like you’re the nicest human being ever and I am so glad that I had the opportunity to exist in the same lifetime as you. You’re insanely talented and charming and so down to earth and sweet, I’m sure this won’t be the last we see of you! I love you with all my heart, Henrik! ❤❤

To Iman, I’m so incredibly proud of you for everything you have done in Skam. You are a truly wonderful person and an amazing actress. To hear that you’ll be joining the army- I am incredibly proud of you, and Norway is incredibly lucky, their army is gaining such a strong, wonderful woman. Your portrayal of Sana has been amazing, you brought her to life, embodied her sass and her strength and gave her your everything. I learned so much from both Sana and you about so many different things- about Islam and religion, about friendship, about being selfless and always looking out for those you love. Sana was such a loyal character and I admire that so very much. She always stood up for her friends and defended them and would go to the ends of the earth for them. Her heart is so big and so golden and I love her so so much. Her friendship with Isak was one of my favorite things to watch, their banter was lovely and they were so pure. I wish we could’ve seen more of Sana and Even interacting, I feel like they would have been amazing friends. Your portrayal of Sana was a gift to us all, and Sana’s nickname may be Sanasol, but Iman, you really are the sun here, shining so very bright and leaving us all in awe. You are a beautiful soul, inside and out and I’m going to miss you and Sana so very much. ❤

To Ulrikke, you. are. absolutely. stunning. You have a heart of pure gold and I admire you in every single way possible. You are such an empowering, strong, beautiful woman and I consider you to be one of my role models. Every time I see you post something on Instagram, I always smile because I know that whatever it is you posted is going to inspire so many people, girls and boys, young and old, everyone. Your portrayal of Vilde was amazing. Vilde was such a complex character and she struggled with so much, and I’m so disappointed that we didn’t get to see her have her own season- I know she deserved it- but what we did get to see of her was so so wonderful, and that’s all because of you and your incredible talent. Vilde could definitely be problematic, but you couldn’t help but love her. Despite her ignorance’s, she really did mean well and she seemed like a lovely person to have in your life and a great friend. You really brought her to life and I’m so glad I got to be here for this! I cannot wait to see what you do next- whatever it is I know you’ll do such an amazing job at it! ❤

To Lisa, the amazing, beautiful girl who started it all. Our very first ever main character of Skam! When I discovered this show and then went back to watch season 1, I fell in love with it in an instant. I loved everything about Eva’s season and I think it was a brilliant start to a brilliant show. Eva is one of my favorite characters on the show, I absolutely love her. At first, she was very shy and insecure, but as time progressed you could see her coming out of her shell and really finding out who she was and I think you managed to capture all of this so well. You can truly see the difference in her, can see her character development and her growth and that’s so impressive! Eva is so fun-loving and sweet and I absolutely adore her. I loved her friendship with Isak and I’m so happy that Jonas and Eva were endgame because I love them together. You are such an amazing actress and I’m so glad you got cast in this show! I’m going to miss you and Eva so so much but I know both will go on to do wonderful things! I love you! ❤

To Ina, what a fun-loving, big-hearted, beautiful spirit! It is truly a travesty that we didn’t get to see more of Chris, I loved her so much. She was always so funny and always put a smile on my face every time I saw her. Chris was such an underrated character and she totally is one of my favorites! You did such a good job as Chris, I love everything about her and everything about how you portrayed her. My absolute favorite Chris clip was the solo one she got in the last week of Skam. We got to see a different side of her, and it really made me feel for her. Her insecurity about her friendships, the “am I good enough?” feeling is so relatable. Her talk with Dr. Skrulle and the smile that she gets at the end and then how she goes out and sends everybody such sweet messages, I fell in love with her all over again! Chris Berg is the purest soul! She is really an amazing friend and I would love to have her as one of my friends! You really did a wonderful job playing Chris, Ina! I’m going to miss the both of you immensely! And of course, you will do such amazing things in your future! I love you! ❤

To Josefine, Noora is one of the first characters I fell in love with! I absolutely loved her strong, independent vibe in season 1. She was such an empowering character, and she stands up for such amazing things, and has such solid, good beliefs. I wasn’t the biggest fan of her relationship with William, but I knew that Noora’s a strong girl and would be able to take care of herself, something she proved time and time again. Not only is she strong, but she is also one hell of a friend. She stands up for her friends, she helps her friends through tough times, she’s loyal. Josefine, you portrayed Noora so fantastically, there is no one who could have done it better. Listening to your voice is always fun, I think your voice is just so nice to listen to. You always seem to have a smile on your face as well, which I love. Also, you’re absolutely stunning in every way possible. You made watching Noora so enjoyable and I’m going to miss you as Noora! You’re going to do wonderful things in the future and whatever project you work on next is going to be so lucky to have you! I love you, Josefine! ❤

To Marlon, the eyebrow king of the world. Okay, I actually love you so much it’s crazy. Both you and Jonas are so likeable and I just want to be both of your best friends! From the first episode in season 1 I fell in love with Jonas. He’s such a strong character, so opinionated (in the good way!) and wise, and just so genuinely cool, like, god I really do just want to be his best friend. I love how season 1 opened with Jonas’s anti-capitalism speech and I love how season 4 ends with Jonas giving a speech again, it really feels full circle. Marlon, your acting as Jonas was spectacular and I enjoyed every second of it! Jonas was such a loyal friend and when he loves someone, you can really see it and you managed to capture all of that so so well! I especially enjoyed the wide mouthed laugh thing you do in the episode where Isak texts Even to figure his shit out after Isak announces that Even is at his door is my actual favorite thing ever, it’s absolutely precious, and your little “ahh” in the first episode of season 4 is also just great. I wish we would’ve seen more Jonas in season 4, he’s such a great character- I wish he would have had his own season as well, I think that would have been so cool to get to see things through Jonas’s perspective! But Jonas is such a good friend to Isak, so supportive and chill and the scene where Isak comes out to Jonas is by far one of my favorite Jonas scenes. You are truly such a talented guy and you seem like such a cool dude as well. Like I said before, I would love to have you as a best friend, Marlon! I especially enjoy how you would draw stick figure Isak and Even in the places of your home that they used during filming and I also loved the lowkey shade you would throw about your character and whatnot with all of the Instagram posts you liked. Thank you for everything you’ve done with Jonas, he was one of my favorites! I’m sad to see Jonas go, but I know this won’t be the last we see of Marlon! I can’t wait to see what adventures you go on next! Marlon Langeland, I love you so much! ❤

To David, oh my god I love you I love you I love you! Magnus was one of my absolute favorites! He was insanely funny and boy squad always gave him so much shit and teased him a ton (all of it lovingly of course!). He definitely had some moments where I would facepalm and be like oh my god Magnus why? but he always came back from those and he always meant well! I wish we got to see even more Magnus he was a true gem and such a pure soul (despite his dirty mind and desperate need to get laid haha). You truly brought Magnus to life, David, and I am so happy that you were the one to play him! You hit the nail on the head and portrayed his slightly cluelessness and desperation perfectly. He may have been somewhat ignorant at times, but hey he learned from his mistakes and like I said before, he totally meant well! David, I just want to give you the biggest hug, especially after watching Magnus hug Even so many times- those hugs always looked so good and cozy! Magnus’s obsession with Even is actually the purest thing in the world and I adore it so much. He definitely looks up to Even and the way he treats Even just makes me love him that much more. I really really loved the scene where Magnus talks to Isak about Even and bipolar disorder and shares about his experience with it via his mom. That scene showed a different side to Magnus and made me fall in love with him even more because he really loves everyone with his whole heart and sees the good in everyone. David, you are truly talented and I can’t wait to see what’s next in store for you! I think one of my favorite things about you is your laugh as well. It’s so bright and it never fails to make me smile and laugh right along. I feel like you would be such an amazing friend, you seem like the nicest soul ever! I love you with all my heart! ❤

To Sacha, you are a gift to us all! I’m really sad that we don’t get to see much of Mahdi onscreen and that he doesn’t have more speaking lines, but what we do see of him he is truly wonderful! He seems like a solid friend, always seems to have good advice, is totally loyal, incredibly pure, has amazing values, and his love for waffles rivals Leslie Knope’s! The advice Mahdi gives Isak is wonderful, and I really liked how open-minded Mahdi is. In the scene where Isak comes out to Magnus and Mahdi, I love everything about Mahdi in it. He isn’t holding a grudge towards Isak about Isak shoving him, he’s completely chill about it. He gets offended when Magnus thinks it’s funny that people thought he and Isak fought because he’s homophobic (which he makes very clear is not the case!). He suggests that maybe Isak and Even are pansexual. Everything about that scene, I love. You portrayed Mahdi as such a ball of sunshine and as such a great friend and I love everything about him! You’re incredibly talented and I hope to see more of you in the future! I love you! ❤

To Carl, the one and only guru angel. Carl, Eskild was such a fun character because of you! Everything about Eskild, I loved. He was so supportive and so sweet and so energetic and uplifitng and funny and just an all around angel. He was very much like a father figure to Isak and every time I think about how he found Isak all alone, drunk off his ass at some gay bar and how he decided to help him and take him in and all of the support he’s given Isak and how he’s constantly there and in Isak’s corner ready to give him advice or make him smile again, gah it just makes me so emotional! Eskild is a gift to this world and so are you Carl! Your portrayal of Eskild was absolutely amazing! You really brought him to life and made him fun and vivacious and loveable! His numerous nicknames for Isak, his constant support for everyone close to him, his perky personality, all of it was so wonderful because of you! There are so many favorite Eskild moments I have, but I especially enjoyed the speech Eskild gives Isak when he makes the ignorant comment and puts himself above gay pride- you did an amazing job with that scene, the emotion you have while giving that little speech is so raw and it’s so moving. Another one of my all time favorites is the Eskild and Linn clip from season 4 that we just got! That scene legitimately made me cry. Eskild is such a good person and such a great friend and he loves with his whole heart. To see him reassure Linn that they will always have each other made me so emotional. Carl, you are so talented and I cannot thank you enough for your portrayal of Eskild. I love you and I can’t wait to see what you will do next! ❤

To Rakel, a beautiful warrior-princess. You did an absolutely outstanding job at playing Linn. I wish Linn had more screen time, I would have loved to see more of her, especially more of an interaction between her and Even. I feel like they would have gotten along swimmingly and would have been fast friends. Even could have even helped Linn out with her depression maybe, and they could have talked about a lot of deep stuff together. Linn was totally relatable in some ways and I really liked her. You’re incredibly talented and absolutely beautiful inside and out! I can’t wait to see what you’ll do next, I’m sure it will be wonderful! I love you Rakel!❤

To Cengiz, to Yousef, to Simo, to Adam, to Mutta, the balloon boys, the sweetest, purest souls. All of you were so amazing in your respective roles! I wish we would have been able to see more of you guys, and I definitely wish we could have learned more about the balloon boys’s relationship with Even and both how it fell apart as well as how it was repaired. All of you boys seem like such lovely people and are all insanely talented. Cengiz- you were a wonderful Yousef, he was so sweet and such a down-to-earth cutie pie, I loved him with all my heart, just like I love you! Yousef- Mikael was such a sweetheart and I always loved seeing your smile onscreen, it’s absolutely precious! I wish Mikael had a bigger role in this, he seemed like such an interesting character! Simo- Elias Bakkoush was the best big brother in the world. He was so protective of his sister, but in such a good way. Him saying that Yousef would be good for Sana was so sweet and the fact that he genuinely was disappointed when the other boys said Yousef was with Noora. I would’ve loved to see more of him as well! Adam- I would have loved to see more of you and hear you more as well! Adam seemed so fun! Mutta- The same goes for you, it would have been lovely to have you in the show more! ❤

To Herman, to Thomas, you both did amazing in this show! Herman, your portrayal of Perpetrator Chris was funny and you did a really good job at playing a fuck boy, haha. Minus his fuck boy attitude and his playboy “I can do whatever and whoever I want” mentality and his cheating tenancies, I think Chris was a good person, or at least he seemed to be shaping up to be a decent person towards the end. Thomas, I didn’t really like William at all, but you did a really good job with his character. You got the fuck boy attitude down as well, and the onscreen time between William and Noora was sweet at certain times. ❤

To Theresa, to Cecilie, to Kristina, to Ruby, you all had the more “villainous” roles, but in reality you all seem like absolutely sweethearts! You all played your roles exceptionally well and I give you all the kudos for that, those roles always seem hard. I can’t wait to see what each of you will do, I know it’ll all be great! You all are so talented and will go far in life! ❤

To whoever was in charge of picking the music, I just want to give you the biggest kudos in the entire universe. The music of Skam was so so amazing, especially in season 3. God, season 3′s music was the best. Every single song fit the moment perfectly and I will truly never get over that! I’ve found so many new songs and artists because of this show and for that I will forever be grateful! Music is such a big part of my life and getting the opportunity to discover new sounds made me so happy! ❤

To all of the friends I’ve made through Skam, I love you all so so much and I am so glad that we were brought together! It’s been amazing to get to know you guys and I only wish that we don’t stop talking because the show is over! ❤

To all of the incredible fic writers and fanart creators… @shadeandadidas @westiris @bechnaesun @noenoaholi @dahlstrom @isisisak @jydoodles @isaksredscarf @danielhowell @elli-skam @miranhas-art @ravenclawisak @stardefiant @leoniejulie (I know there are many more so if I didn’t tag, don’t worry, it’s just because I’m drawing a blank because there are so many!)… you guys are absolutely amazing! You all have so much talent and I hope that you all will stick around and keep writing/drawing for this amazing fandom! ❤

#Superman #WonderWoman #KingdomCome #Love

We all know on the Kingdom Come earth (22) the fate of Clark and Diana. They marry and have at least 5 children. (that we are aware of) Clark lives past 1000 years. He is a very old man in the 31st century, clearly happy and proud to see his legacy. Diana, it seems, may have passed away after several centuries on this earth. At the end of the story we see Clark is wearing a red cape with a golden pin/broach; the same golden pin/broach we had seen on Diana in Kingdom Come where she had brought his glasses to him. It’s so touching to see confirmation in these details that he had not forgotten his Amazon Princess and she remained in his heart and memory always.

i have decided where the australians go in wonder woman (2017) and also general ludendorff’s plan would have failed (though i feel that was already obvious so it is secondary)

so. i love wonder woman. i’ve seen it twice now, and spent hours ruminating on it, and thinking about the tanks (there are two tanks in the movie. one is german, one is british and a mark IV I believe, that’s the one diana holds over her head. this is irrelevant, even if it was cool).

loved it. loves it. more emotional truth than accuracy, a new look at ancient war. shows indians in the british army. shows POC in the british army. shows the young boys of the british and german armies.

no Australians, Canadians or New Zealanders. technically part of the british army but by 1918 (when the film is set) there’s the separate Canadian Army Corps, the Australian Army Corps, and the New Zealanders are off hanging out with the Welsh, but they’re trying.

so, John Monash, right. Homeboy. side-eye champ 1914 - 1919.

Jewish. First Commander Australian Army Corps. First man knighted in the field since the last one, two hundred years beforehand. Had a mistress, loved his wife, that was okay, it was 1918. Hated war. “Fuck war,” Monash said, upon the war being over. Very creative, thorough, exacting planner. In a war where battles lasted months, he planned the Battle of Hamel - an intricate web of troop and tank and plane movements that was a thorough success, and only ran three minutes overtime. In July 1918. Nice. Not the city, like nice, in the sense of….good. As I said, Hamel.

Smart dude. Sneaky guy. Encouraged initiative in his troops. Australian troops (and Kiwis, but idk much about them and they were, as stated above, chilling with the Welsh) were often more tightly knit and had stronger bonds as the men weren’t swapped and chopped and changed out of their battalions as much as they were in the British (that is, English, Irish, Scottish, Welsh) army.

October 1917, the Russkies have their second revolution and pull out of the war. The Germans (because Austro-Hungary is sort of just -

dead) decide to launch one last MASSIVE attack on the Allied forces, called the Spring Offensive. All the Germans who were on the Eastern front (fighting the-Empire-formerly-known-as-Russia) are shipped over to the Western front in preparation. The Spring Offensive offends greatly. They throw EVERYTHING they have at the Allies and force them back across every inch of land the Allies gained since 1914, and Haig (the main British General in the film) was like, “Shit’s fucked, we need to fight or we will LITERALLY DIE.” So they fought, and halted the German march. And then for most of summer, everyone just chilled in their trenches; the Germans running low on boots, food, supplies, and men, as unrest built back in Germany.

The line the Allies were holding was crooked. Now, Johnny-boy Monash hates a crooked line. He’s an engineer in real life. Hates a crooked line. He’s under orders to chill, to not do anything.

“Boys,” he said, or did not say. “We’re gonna straighten the line.”

“Sir,” they said. “We were told not to straighten it. We were told to chill.”

“Oh right,” said Monash, winking. “Don’t straighten it. Just….peacefully penetrate the Germans, and if that happens to fix the line up, so be it.”

“Ah right, sir, we see,” they said. “Wink.”

So the Australians began, in platoons and small groups, to sneak over to the German side, capture the troops there and consolidate the position. They did it at night. They did it during the day. At one point, a couple of mates noticed that the German line was unusually quiet, snuck over, realised all the troops were asleep in the summer heat, and captured them as they snoozed. And lo, the line was fixed.

“Oh look,” said Monash. “The line is fixed. Now we can try my plan to capture Hamel, in the battle of Hamel. There’s going to be motorbikes and tanks with bells on them. It’s going to be sick.” (It was).

So, the Australians did show initiative. My point is

a) due to the pathetic, tragic condition of the German army following the Spring Offensive of 1918, film!Ludendorff was utterly delusional in his belief they could continue with the war even with a new poison gas. Because what happens if you drop a bunch of gas on London? You have to deal with the fresh American troops pouring through who want a piece of the action.

b) In the scene where the Allies take the town of Velt, the trench troops show initiative and daring when they follow Diana, Steve and the Ragtag Bunch of Misfits ™ across No Man’s Land. They were not ordered by high command to do so. Ergo, to both further demonstrate the international nature of World War I (there’s a reason New Zealand memorials say “from the uttermost ends of the earth”), and reference some of the frontline initiative displayed by the AAC, I wish they’d had that trench full of Aussies.

Today is not so much of a good day for Mel,Earpers.Correction, today is one of those days you’d never want to face in your life. Now more than ever lets try to show her some love, show her she can lean on us too.I didn’t even know her nonna, yet I can’t stop crying,I can’t stop feeling like she was sorta always there, I know it’s because I can see her through Mel,and I m sure she’s one of the reasons our girl is who she s today just from the loving way she spoke about her a few hours ago.We know grandparents are often gonna be the first to unwillingly leave us,but it doesn’t make it any easier. My gramps died the same way and it was a shock to know that just a few hours before he was there talking to us,wanting to go back home from the hospital saying he was much better, talking about coming back home, finally with us, and then he was just…gone. Now more than today we need to give back the love we’re shown.

For Melanie, and for this wonderful woman whose journey on earth has just come to an end,and whom I’ll forever thank because she’s one of the reasons why we’ve Mel.
