womens weight lifting

wonder woman reignited my desire to see a clothing line for muscular women. not athletic attire, but casual and formal clothing designed specifically for women with broad shoulders, wide backs, and big arms. jackets that don’t cut off circulation to your shoulders!! and don’t tear down the back when you hug someone!! fancy dresses that can zip all the way up!!!

I haven’t weighed myself in over a month, but hey sometimes that’s necessary for recovery and not going back to old ways. I never want to have an eating disorder control me again.

I’ve been spending a lot of time enjoying life and less time in the gym. Still getting lots of exercise though, volunteering 2 or 3 times a week with kiddos and lifting/ cardio at the gym like 5 or 6 times a week.

Although I’ve been exhausted I’ve been trying to remember that a shitty workout is better than no workout. #keepgoing

Ten pounds of muscle later and I’m definitely not everyone’s cup of tea.. especially in a world that teaches women to shrink themselves. But part of the reason I lift is to teach young girls that getting stronger will not lessen their femininity.. it will only weed out men who have little man syndrome. So far, so good 😏
