—  Queen Ifrica“Black Woman” (2016)

Dear girls who dress scantily for male attention, spends hours and hours obsessing over their fake nails/make-up/hair extension/boob jobs, are ‘do-nothing bitches’ on Instagram who live for the likes and the compliments,

…You are perfect.

Your likes and dislikes are your own. If you thrive on male attention, I hope they are good to you. If you get validation from strangers on the internet liking your posts, I hope it brings you the greatest happiness there is. If your only talent is looking pretty then I want you to know that your prettiness adds colour to the dull world.

I hope your ‘inflated ego’ inflates and inflates to the point where you truly believe yourself to be a goddess, worthy of only the best and available to only those who love you.

Fat bi women are worthy of love and don’t need patronizing ‘help or encouragement’ about their health or weight.

Healthy fat bi women are worthy of love  and don’t need patronizing ‘help or encouragement’ about their health or weight.

Unhealthy bi women are worhty of love  and don’t need patronizing ‘help or encouragement’ about their health or weight.

Fat disabled bi women are worthy of love  and don’t need patronizing ‘help or encouragement’ about their health or weight.

Fat bi WOC  are worthy of love  and don’t need patronizing ‘help or encouragement’ about their health or weight.

Fat bi trans women  are worthy of love  and don’t need patronizing ‘help or encouragement’ about their health or weight.

No fat bi woman needs patronizing ‘help or encouragement’ about their health or weight.

LGB no T.

I am so sick of this. The black community has worshipped dick and centered black men in everything since day 1. Now silly handmaidens and black men who ‘identify’ as black women want to speak over actual black women to prop themselves up. How dare you disrespect our existence and use patriarchy in a dress to make yourselves the focal point of female oppression. It’s called SEXISM not genderism for a reason. Being female has been the sole basis of our abuse and you have the nerve to pretend all of that can be redirected to being about your “mentality”. Get the hell outta here. You don’t get to redefine things to suit your agenda. Now you’re out here peddling the lie that “black trans women” face the highest level of violence. Bull fucking shit. Black women have experienced more violence than ANYONE ever, especially if we are dark skinned. Black people have been enslaved by other black people, whites, arabs and Natives, all of whom raped black women . Some even forced us to breed in astronomical numbers and take care of all the children regardless of color because all we were good for was production. Black women have suffered FGM, have been forced into marriages as children, our bodies have been placed in human zoos for people to gawk at our 'unusual’ figures, our bodies have been used against our will to advance science. Present day black women carry those scars with us because trauma against our humanity for daring to exist while black and female is generational. Not only are we missing and trafficked at ridiculous rates but we are also raped, assaulted and killed under the radar. We have become the punchline for black 'entertainers’ and black men everywhere from our skin tone to our character to our mannerisms to our genitalia to our diction. We get cervical cancer more than anyone but we better not say it because “not all women have a cervix.” 😑 We are the poster children for everything wrong in society. When society talks about welfare queens and single motherhood, they’re not thinking of 'trans’ black women. When we get blamed for “destroying the black community with our feminism”, they’re not thinking of 'trans’ black women. When society talks about black women being ugly and ghetto they’re not thinking of 'trans’ black women. When people approriate our culture and style to give themselves an edge, they’re not taking it from 'trans’ black women. Black women have attitude. Black women are fat. Black women are raising thugs. They’re not talking about 'trans’ black women. Day in and out, black women are society’s scapegoat while all you care about is being able to use the bathroom you prefer and being able to date straight men without opposition. That is what we call a First World Problem. Your identity crisis and the elective surgeries you get to appease it do not take precedent over the global and never ending disrespect of black women. We didn’t have to alter ourselves and go out of our way to be oppressed like you. Just by existing as is, the world has told us that is enough reason to take endless craps on us. Stop acting like black men haven’t always found it ok to fight black women like men because our blackness allegedly discounts our womanhood. Stop acting like black men haven’t embedded it in their mind that black women are not human but their mules to take care of them when life is hard, only to be discarded when they become successful. Stop acting like black girls aren’t constantly robbed of our innocence with assault and dubbed 'fast’ so our pain is overlooked and our fault. Stop acting like people haven’t always called black women, men because we are the antithesis of white beauty standards. Stop acting like every woman doesn’t get an ego boost on our backs. We are woman enough to be raped, trafficked, called bitches and hoes but too 'manly’ to reap the finances, protection and reverence patriarchal society’s claim to give women. Stop acting like black women are not abused physically, psychologically, emotionally and financially and haven’t always been by white society, black society and everyone in between. Acting like you have it so hard when we have always been treated like an other just for being born. “The most disrespected and least protected person on the planet is the black woman.” - Malcolm X He said black woman. Not black 'trans’ woman. Cis privilege my ass. You think because you’ve been feeling for the last year what black women have been feeling since FOREVER, that you have it worse? You are only experiencing a sliver of what we get anyway. It’s just that typical fragile masculinity you were born into that has you thinking you are the peak of oppression. You went your whole lives ignoring and/or capitalizing on the degradation of black women because your maleness allowed you to put it on the back burner. Your internal issues with gender did not negate the external privilege you received. But now that you 'identify’ as one of us, we need to make you a priority or you slander us with poor reverse psychology. How narcissistic can you get? Womens rights are only worthy of attention when you are involved? “TERF” is not a thing btw. Stop using racism, sexism and homophobia to make yourself valid. You cannot compare white privilege, male privilege and straight privilege to this nonsense. Women have never had privilege. Or do you just wanna ignore the last thousands of years? You were born on the side of privilege and into the dominant oppressing class. Now you want access to a marginalized group with no questions and throw tantrums when we say no. It’s almost like your male privilege conditioned you to force yourself onto women at any cost and taught you how to play victim when women don’t fall for your shit. You want equal footing in womanhood but won’t hesitate to remind us you “have it worse”. You want to call lesbians bigots if they exclusively like women and vagina… because hey, how dare some women not want penis in any way, shape or form. Blasphemy! You have no concern for women in shelters fleeing abusive men. You invade their spaces and tell them to suck it up if they don’t like your dick and masculine energy. You say nothing when born males use their advantages to dominate female sports. But you’re the victim, right? I will say it again. It’s called SEXISM, not genderism for a reason. You don’t get to keep playing the “being born in the wrong body is not a privilege” card to ignore your advantages and complicity at our expense. Gender identity issues are low priority in comparison to everything else. Every day black women leave our homes, we are subjected to antiblackness and misogyny just for being ourselves. Doesn’t matter how we dress or speak, it is hurled our way just for being in a female body via a black package. It will be a cold day in hell before those born male and their delusions get to define womanhood but those of us born female and our realities that came with it don’t. Yes, we are the arbiters and gatekeepers of womanhood and it pisses you off there’s nothing you can do about it except rally your naive liberal handmaidens and scream TERF. Interestingly enough, there are countless instances of 'trans women’ raping, assaulting and killing women but not ONE woman has done that to you. Yet here you all come… into our spaces IRL and on the internet to force yourselves onto us. Why don’t you go after the men who fuck you in private but don’t want to publicly be seen with you and take your lives with the same gusto? Is it because you have no privilege over them and instead, it’s easier to gang up on the 'weaker sex’? It’s almost like you devalue women so much, you wanna speak over, redefine and attack us all while blaming our words for violence against you… well what do you know, patriarchy strikes again. We will not give into your demands. We don’t negotiate with terrorists. (If misgendering you is 'violence’, well propagating existent violence against us is indeed terrorism.) 😊

Ghostbusters 2016 rant

Re: whether or not a reboot should have been made…

There is a difference between remaking something like Gone With The Wind and Ghostbusters. Comparing a cinematic masterpiece to a cult classic is apples and oranges. Yes, the original Ghostbusters is one of the greatest movies of all time, but you know what else it is? It’s a hero movie. It’s a timeless underdogs-becoming-heroes story, and the fact that so many little boys (and girls) looked up to the old ghostbusters should not be a reason to *not* remake it. To properly reboot a franchise one major question you must answer is “how can we make this different and worthy?” And they answer that question with great dexterity by making the heroes women.

I grew up with the original ghostbusters as heroes. We played GB every day on my street, and I looked up to those guys, partially because they were cool role models, but also because there were no women heroes worthy of looking up to. Yes, Annie Potts and Sigourney Weaver’s characters are iconic but they’re not heroes. They’re not heroes of their own story. This new movie could only work as a reboot and it could only work with women. There would be zero reason for a reboot starring men, since the originals are still so popular. And as a lot of grumpy nay-Sayers like to talk about, no it doesn’t work as a sequel with women because a sequel to the originals would mean that these women were riding on the coat tails of men. It would mean that every bit of science they had would have only been possible because men did it first. This reboot gives them a universe of their own where the science is theirs, where the heroics are theirs, and the reward is theirs and theirs alone. You know, like in real life, where women do things without men literally all the time.

These women are the Ghostbusters I needed when I was a kid. It would have been a game changer for me. And what upsets me the most about these butthurt fanboys who can’t shut up about how this movie somehow “ruined their childhood,” is that they completely forget the fact that THEY ALREADY HAD THEIR CHILDHOOD. They HAD their heroes, they HAD their toys, they HAD their fun, and they grew up not knowing what it’s like to never be represented in any way other than an accessory. I will *never* understand why they feel it necessary to try and take this movie away from NEW generations who didn’t and have not had that. Girls who have never seen a group of female action heroes who are smart, and funny, and independent, and so wonderfully bad-ass. Let the girls have this movie. Piggy backing on that- never before have you seen a movie where the action heroes are four women over 30! Three of whom are over 40! And who represent so many different kinds of women! AND THEY’RE SCIENTISTS IN COMFORTABLE CLOTHES! I am always so touched to read posts where women say “I saw myself in this character because…” Representation is important, and if lack of representation doesn’t bother you it means you’re represented enough not to care. If you’re upset that this movie was made for whatever reason I’m here to tell you it doesn’t matter because THIS MOVIE ISN’T FOR YOU. Like Paul Feig tweets all the time, this movie has already made a huge impact on many people, young and old, all different sexes, genders, races, and geographic locations. It’s an unmitigated success on many levels, backed by reports from Sony themselves. When a movie makes nearly $100mil profit in ticket sales (not including merchandise or third party tie-ins) and you consider that the majority of movie goers ARE women, it goes to show that this is what the audience wants. What the audience has been wanting for for a long time.

So thank you to Sony, thank you to the creators of the original for loving and believing in this movie so much, and thank you to the makers and stars of the Ghostbusters reboot because it is important, it is necessary, and it is wonderful. A sequel would show those butthurt fanboys that we don’t need them to get stuff done.

Thank you for your time. End rant.

Warrior Culture : Spartan
Subculture : Spartan Women

Sparta is often viewed historically speaking as the jocks of Ancient Greece. However if you dig just past the surface you discover just how wrong everybody is. Sparta was one of the few ancient civilisations to EVER allow women to own property, divorce, receive an education, or receive battle honors. In fact their historically unusual treatment of women coupled with strong warrior ethos make Spartans and Vikings close spiritual cousins. Considering to my memory they are the only ancient civilizations to do so. Beyond even that though Spartans revered their women believing Spartan men to be the only true men (as witnessed by the phallic symbol spartans put on their shields symbolic of being more manly than the enemy) that ment Spartan women were the only women worthy to give birth to real men. And it goes still further, they loved their wives and women so much that they spread tales and poetry of just how beautiful they were everywhere they went! And it may even been true since Hellen of Troy was a Spartan woman (historians believe their is at least some truth to aspects of the troy saga).

Part One//

Jimin and you have been dating for quite awhile now, almost two years and tonight you were going to finally introduce him to your parents. You were always scared of showing your parents boyfriends that you first started to date because you knew that they would just scold you if it wasn’t meant to be serious. Jimin was always wanted to marry you, he wanted to start a family with you, he knew he wanted this to be serious. He never told you about his fantasies of his future with you because he thought you wouldn’t be interested in a relationship like that. “Jagi do you think your parents will like lilacs or daisies?” He asked as you turned over to smile at him gently.

“You don’t have to get them flowers” You reminded him, as he shook his head lightly.

“How am I suppose to impress my in-laws then? First impressions are everything” He smiled brightly at the thought of calling your parent’s his in-laws.

“Jimin, you’ll do fine. My parents won’t care about the flowers, they care about the boy that is gonna marry me” You smiled brightly, accepting the thought of Jimin’s thought of marriage.

“So is that a yes? So we could possibly marry?” Jimin excitedly asked as you laughed softly.

“Maybe” You smiled brightly, “let’s see where tonight takes us and then I’ll think about it.”

Dinner was awkward at first, Jimin and you were holding hands as your parents gave disapproving looks. “Y/n, honey, I want you to know that we have nothing against you and Jimin it’s just you can’t marry him” Your mother explained softly, as you held Jimin’s hand tighter.

“Why not? He’s everything you’ve ever wanted in a son, smart and he has a good stable life” You explained, as Jimin gave a tiny smile.

“Yes he is a very good secure boy…but he’s just not for you, Jimin is not fit to marry you.” She explained as you started to get more and more frustrated.

“So if Jimin can’t marry me then who else do you see fit to fill the role?” You asked, as your mother smiled.

“Taehyung, Kim Taehyung” She smirked, as Jimin’s eyes widened.

“Y/n, who’s that?” Jimin asked a sharp pang of jealousy hit him.

“I’m not even sure who that is, so you’re telling me you’d rather I marry a stranger than my very own boyfriend?” You asked, shocked with your parents.

“He’s no stranger, he’s that little boy who used to come over to play with you in the gardens.” Your mother smiled, thinking of the times when you were just a child and you depended on your mother the most. “Oh, how I miss those days.”

“Mom you can’t suggest I marry someone who I haven’t talked to in years, it’s been seventeen years!” You raised your voice.

“Y/n! Don’t raise your voice to your mother” Your father’s voice rumbled, as you let out a huff.

“Mr. L/n, Mrs. L/n? If I might say something, I love your daughter with all my heart and I hope this doesn’t sound weird but I want to marry your daughter and I was hoping if this thing with Taehyung could you know, stop?” He asked, as your father focused his eyes at Jimin, making Jimin cower back into his seat.

“A man who interrupts the family discussion of the women he loves is not worthy to marry my daughter.” Your father harshly yelled as you stood up hands on the table.

“So a stranger that I’ve only talked to once is worthy to marry me?” You fought back.

“Y/n, I know his father if you two marry we would have a wonderful business proposition” Your father explained, as you scoffed.

“So I’m just an investment to your shitty company?” You clicked your tongue.

“Y/n! Language!” Your mother scolded, as your father sat back down.

“That “shitty” company is what has kept you fed and clothed for twenty-two years of birth.” Your father replied.

“Whatever, I don’t care because if you won’t let me marry Jimin then I’ll run away.” You boldly yelled, as your mother gasped.

“Y/n! Don’t think of such things.” Your mother scolded.

“And what money will you live off of? You don’t have a stable job, last time I checked I am the one paying your schooling!” Your father fought back, as you bit your lip in lost of words. “Y/n don’t be stupid, and just dump your boyfriend.”

“You know I’m still here right?” Jimin asked, as he felt his heart break, his first time meeting your parents and your parents were already trying to marry you to a different man.

“I love Jimin” You cried, as you held tightly on Jimin’s hand for comfort.

“I’m sorry dear, but you guys can’t be together.” Your father softly explained, his temper now cooled down.

“We’ll talk about this tomorrow, now say goodbye to your now ex boyfriend.” Your mother said, as you took Jimin by the hand and walked him to the door.

“I’m so sorry you had to witness that, you didn’t need to hear that,” You told Jimin as he smiled softly, he grabbed your cheeks pulling you into a kiss.

“It’s okay, I’ll do whatever it takes to keep you with me” Jimin smiled, as he finally let go “I’ll see you tomorrow, okay?”

You woke up, stretching your arms as you let out a yawn. You finished washing your face as you headed downstairs to hear the sound of chatter, you froze looking at the calendar only to be struck with confusion. Today wasn’t a Friday so your mom wasn’t having tea with her friends, today was a Saturday where she would go to visit the temples to pray. You walked back to your room, changing into a blue dress that went down to your knees and the sleeves that stopped just about your elbows. Coming through your hair, you walked down to see your mother, as she smiled to you, thanking the heavens that you didn’t walk down with your pj’s and messy bun.

“Ah this is my daughter Y/n, as you can tell she works very hard to not look like a slob every day” Your mother joked, as you laughed lightly as well.

“Oh that’s wonderful, your daughter is very beautiful” The lady complimented, as you thanked her. You heard a knock on the door as one of your maids went to go get the door, she came back with a boy around your age with light blonde hair that was clearly dyed, as he gave a little smirk and a wink to your direction. “Ah and this is my son, why don’t you introduce yourself sweetie.”

“I would love to” He smiles, his voice deep, but still very sweet “My name is Taehyung, Kim Taehyung” Your eyes widen, as you drop your phone.

we have a problem (a slam poem)

we have a problem
when girls from the age of ten
are being told that they shouldn’t wear shorts out in public
for fear that they’ll be given looks
by older men
men old enough to be their fathers
men that despite their physical maturity
cannot seem to apply this to their dicks
if you can control your arm
or your leg
or your facial expressions
why are you incapable of controlling simply another body part
when it is faced with a stimulus
that is fresh faced yet was barely in the world
when you were already your own person?

we have a problem
when rape victims are told
that because of the way their hair
falls daintily over their breasts
or the delicate arch of their back
or the length of their sleeves
they were basically asking to be violated
because, of course,
it is a privilege for a woman to be looked at by a man
and a right for men to take what they want from women they deem worthy of this attention.
we have a problem when authorities
those who are paid to protect us
look away from this as a matter of principle
because ‘boys will be boys’ and you need to take the precautions.
when a public figure
is deemed as less guilty
because of their popularity and their skill
an athlete did not make a mistake
they are a criminal who can swim.

we have a problem
when a woman’s attempt to be seen as acceptable by a sexist society
is seen as ‘false advertising’ and ‘wasting a man’s time’
I’m sorry, I didn’t realise that my body was a product
a DVD player or a bar of soap that still can’t wash away the stink of your misogynistic narcissism
my only purpose to cleanse the sins of your twisted beliefs.

we have a problem when abortion is the only medical procedure
that you are denied because of how you got in the situation
when a drunk driver that killed a child can get an organ transplant at the tip of a hat
yet a woman who was violated cannot have this man’s production taken out of her own body because “YOU GOT YOURSELF INTO THIS AND YOU HAVE TO DEAL WITH THE CONSEQUENCES”
when a sixteen year old is denied an abortion because they are old enough to deal with it
but cannot adopt because they are not mature enough to handle a child.

If I am too young to be wearing these clothes then I am too young to have my body sexualised.
If my right to report a crime is lessened because of my vagina and the visibility of my underwear
then stop saying my body is a temple because if the God of it does not have rights then what’s the point of having one in the first place?
If I do not have control over my body and what happens to it then why should I exist? For your pleasure? No.

We have a problem
when women are shown to have no right over their bodies
when their only purpose is to be pleasurable for a man to look at
we have a problem
when women as seen as lesser than a man
and we have a problem
when women are seen as nothing.

Money is the pretense on which ppl understand black women to b worthy of support celebration attention etc like don’t get me wrong, highly celebrated black women deserve all the attention and respect and celebration they get and much much more but I hope everyone re blogging shit about these ethereal black female celebrities support the black women in their lives just as much and recognize that even tho it doesn’t happen in like the publics eye/ isn’t broadcasted that the blatant injustices/ hatred/disrespect and dismissal we see these women face also happens to black girls like… every day….. like fuck… I love black girls so much we deserve better…
