Excuse me, we need to have a Sam hair intervention. S8 Sam hair in glorious waves, S6 Soulless!Sam hair blessed by the Lord above to fall perfectly, Sam's hair in a ponytail, Sam's hair in a mess bun, Sam's hair flowing (fluttering) around his head when he shakes his head and falling perfectly just in time for a bitchface. .... I admit, I'm not good at interventions. I just wanted to talk about Sam's hair.

This was not an intervention. You were clearly just trying to jump-start the addiction again!

See, I get that Crowley DID help in a few ways to get Lucifer in the Cage but my issue is that EVERY OTHER CHARACTER aside from Sam gets to talk about their part in it.

ALL I WANT is for this show to acknowledge that SAM did the thing, that Sam was the guy who jumped in the pit, that Sam endured centuries of torture as part of this thing others keep taking credit for.

BECAUSE DAMN.

Sam sure gets blamed for shit but god forbid he actually get credit for amazing shit he actually DID. Please give it to us. Give it to Sam!

SAM: This symbol? I know it. Now, Kevin has it down as, as sort of like a signature, for the Scribe of God. It appears every time Metatron makes one of his, uh, like, editor’s notes.
DEAN: Okay…?
SAM: But I think I’ve seen it before. I mean, it was a long time ago, it was one of my, uh, humanities courses at Stanford.
DEAN: They taught Word of God at Stanford?
SAM: No, uh, it was an overview of Native American art — I think it’s a petroglyph.

Sam hasn’t been in college for like… 8 years? I can hardly remember some of the terms I use in my job on a yearly basis without review, but Sam notices a symbol and recognizes not only where he might recall it from, but what it is????

BRAINY SAM, GUYS

SAM: Nothing says “family” quite like the whole family being dead.
DEAN: I wasn’t dead. [He stands up and walks around SAM.] In fact, I was knee-deep in God’s armpit killing monsters, which, I thought, is what we actually do.
SAM: Yes, Dean. And far as I knew, what we do is the thing that got every single member of my family killed. I had no one – no one. And for the first time in my life, I was completely alone. And, honestly, I-I didn’t exactly have a roadmap. So, yeah, I-I fixed up the Impala, and I just… drove.
DEAN: After you looked for me. [SAM says nothing.] Did you look for me, Sam? [SAM looks away.] Good. That’s good. Now, we – we… always told each other not to look for each other. That’s smart. Good for you. Of course, we always ignored that because of our deep, abiding love for each another, but not this time, right, Sammy?

Here’s a thing though…. Sam thought Dean was dead …. why would he look for him, especially after this agreement was made?

He knows what Dean’s heaven looks like because he’s been there. There  would be no reason NOT to uphold this agreement if that’s where he believes Dean is. Sam yanking Dean out of heaven would have been selfish, something he was doing for his own sake so he wasn’t alone. It sucks that Sam was wrong, that Dean wasn’t at peace, but from this conversation it’s clear that Sam didn’t abandon Dean. He upheld their agreement and let him rest in what he thought was peace.
