A Manifesto of Apocalyptic Witchcraft

1. If the land is poisoned, the witchcraft must respond.

2. It is not our way if life, it is life itself which is under threat

3. Witchcraft is our intimate connection to the web of life.

4. We are the Witchcraft.

5. Our World has forever changed. The trodden paths no longer correspond. Witchcraft thrives in this liminal, lunar, trackless realm.

6. We are storm, fire and flood.

7. We will not be denied.

8. Witchcraft is the recourse of the dispossessed, the powerless, the hungry and the abused. It gives heart and tongue to stones and trees. It wears the rough skin of beasts. It turns on a civilization that knows the price of everything and the value of nothing.

9. If you have no price you cannot be bought. If you do not want you cannot be bribed. If you are not frightened you cannot be controlled.

10. Witchcraft is folk magic, the magic of the people and for the people.

11. We call an end to the pretence of respectability.

12. We will not disarm ourselves.

13. The war is upon us.

14. Choose then to become a Mask.

15. Those with nothing left to lose will dare all.

16. There is one Witchcraft under many names. There is one Grand Sabbat on one mountain. There are many ways to fly. There is no witness present at the Sabbat.

17. Witchcraft is a force, not an order. Witchcraft is rhizomatic, not hierarchic. Witchcraft defies organisation, not meaning. We simply bear the marks.

18. Witchcraft is power and possesses this in ekstasis, sex and ordeal.
Witchcraft is unbridled sexuality.

19. In witchcraft it is the woman who initiates. We challenge man to be the equal of this woman.

20. Witchcraft is the art of inversion.

21. Witchcraft is the beauty which is terror.

22. Witchcraft is a myth, which drawing on the past, clothes itself in the symbols of (its) time.
Witchcraft does not mistake myths for history, it harnesses them to transform the future.
Witchcraft knows the ground upon which it stands.

23. Witchcraft honours the spirits. Witchcraft enchants for the lost. Witchcraft will not forget.

24. Witchcraft embodies our ancestors and saints, they carry us with them.

25. To Her is offered the blood, to use the care of the ask and bones.

26. The example we follow is our own.

27. The practice of witchcraft is one of revolution and of the power of woman.

28. The Goddess who speaks through us is known among men as Babalon.

29. Witchcraft concerns itself with mystery. Through the gates of mystery we come to knowledge. Knowledge enters us through the body. The highest form of this knowledge is Love.

30. Every drop of blood is sacrificed to the grail. Love cannot be bought with any other coin.

31. We seek and drink this wine together.

32. Will is finite, passion infinitely renewed.

33. Witchcraft is present, its is ensanguined and vivified. Witchcraft is prescient, it gazes on the future. Witchcraft is oracular, it will not hold its tongue. Our time has come

Lesson 8: Manifestation

“And when we introduce an intention in the fertile ground of pure potentiality, we put this infinite organising power to work for us.”

- Deepak Chopra

The first subject I intended to work on with you all was Crystals, since they are intimately linked to the path of numerous witches and a potent tool. However, I believe manifestation is a better place to start.

First of all, what is manifestation? Manifestation is, by the dictionary definition, an event, action or object that embodies or shows something abstract. Basically, a manifestation is bringing something that was previously just a wish, a thought, a dream or an idea into reality and grounding it there.

It’s been a powerful tool in working spells for witches. Because for a spell to work, it generally has to manifest itself. May it be a healing spell, a money spell or a love spell.

But manifestation isn’t solely used in spell craft. It’s an everyday things. A thought you think, an idea that blooms, a wish you express, a picture you draw, etc. It is the type of magic, if we can call it magic, that everyone uses unknowingly constantly. Sure, doing it consciously may help it happen, but not necessarily.

From a strictly psychological standpoint, it can be caused by the wish, or the thought going to your subconscious mind and opening it to the opportunities that’ll allow the manifestation to take place. For example, the wish to be happy, or find love, or get a job promotion, whatever you asked for, your subconscious mind is working on it, and allows you to be more attentive to those specific situations and start working towards them.

And depending on your belief, it’s also you working your own magic, sending that signal to the universe, to the deities you worship, to the earth and to the people. You’re basically broadcasting your wish to everyone and everything and from there, manifestation will begin.

The psychology of it doesn’t cancel out the other side, by the way. In my opinion, they’re connected.

I decided to start with manifestation because it is the more important part of witchcraft. Because without an intention driving your spells and sigils, you can’t expect everything to magically happen.

I’ll begin with something familiar.

Chances are, you’ve probably all heard people talk about looking at the clock when it strikes 11:11, and to make a wish when you do. But some may not be entirely sure why. Hopefully I’ll be able to help you understand.

Let me explain the numerological side of things.

For anyone who is unaware, numerology is, according to wikipedia, the belief in the divine, mystical relationship between a number and one or more coinciding events. It is also the study of the numerical value of the letters in words, names and ideas. It is often associated with the paranormal, alongside astrology and similar divinatory arts.

It’s a rather popular form of divination, and is generally interesting to study. Minor tangent here, but if you have the opportunity to look into the numerological meaning of both your birth name and chosen name, if you have one, it’s really worth it!

The 11 symbolizes the potential to push the limitations of the human experience into the stratosphere of the highest spiritual perception; the link between the mortal and the immortal; between man and spirit; between darkness and light; ignorance and enlightenment. Some even say it’s a gateway, which is why it is such an important number for manifestation.

It’s also often said that 11:11 is a “wake up” call to your soul. Either way, it’s an important thing to keep in mind.

Now that we’ve covered that, let’s get witchy! As I said at the beginning, manifestation is an important part of witchcraft. I’d even dare to say, one of the most important, because no matter what your path is, for magic to work, it more often than not has to manifest itself, in whatever way it will. Or logically, it doesn’t really work. I’m uncomfortable saying things are absolute, but logic would confirm what I’m saying. For a spell to work, well, it has to work!

While everyone has their own way of using manifestation both in every day life and in spells. But I’m going to lay out a few “rules” if you will, that very little people will disagree on, if any.

  • The formulation should always be positive. Not “I am no longer poor.” but “Prosperity comes to me.” By mentioning what you don’t want, your subconscious mind has a bad habit of taking exactly that. “I am no longer poor.” What your subconscious takes from it is “I am Poor.” Congrats, you’ve just emitted the wish to be poor. Basically, your subconscious is that annoying genie that twists your words a lot if you’re not careful. Simply, put in what you DO want, without mentioning what you don’t want.
  • Always in the present. Not “Prosperity will come to me.” but “Prosperity comes to me.” Because once again, annoying subconscious genie will take it literally, and will put off granting you your wish indefinitely. On a side note, precise dates can work. Saying, “Tomorrow” or the 11th of November should help manifestation, but “Now” is always more powerful.
  • Believe in it. Believing in it adds a lot of power to it. Believe in your spell, in your sigil, in your wish, in your magic. You ARE Magical. Not, a maybe. It’s definite. Belief is a great way to fuel your magic and you deserve to believe in yourself. If you don’t put your heart into it, with the knowledge that it’s going to work, it eventually will. Same goes for every day life, put some oomph into those wishes you make.
  • Unless you’re working a darker form of magic, don’t put fear or negativity into it. It just lowers both your vibration and that of the wish. Vibration is key. Buy putting fear into what you’re asking for, it could result in a twisted version of what you wanted or not working at all. That’s why putting yourself in a calm state or an emotional state that serves what you’re doing is an important part of witchcraft and life in general. You can’t get much good done if you’re shaking in anger or fear, that’s just logical.
  • Be careful what you wish for. That’s basically life 101. Be careful what you wish for because you just might get it. Become mindful. I was taught that you’ll never reach anything if your life is a bunch of bursts of energy, thought, emotions and actions, without any thought or consciousness behind it.
  • Don’t give up! Just because it didn’t work the first time or the first hundred times, doesn’t mean it won’t. Persevere. That’s also witchcraft 101. Fake it till you make it. Believe until it happens and let belief become knowledge. Next time, you KNOW it’ll happen. There’s a difference between “I know” and “I believe”. “I know dogs exist.” “I believe dogs exist.” Either way, don’t give up. Sometimes things are immediate. Sometimes things take time.

As for manifestation itself, there are hundreds of ways of doing it. And everyone has their own. Even a thought starts the process, though adding something more makes the wish more powerful. And no, not every little thought you have will necessarily come true, though it’s a good idea to remain conscious of your own thoughts, since they have power.

Now, I’m going to give you a non-comprehensive list of ways to aid manifestation.

  • Sigils are a wonderful way to create something. Sigils are based in reality, they’re for everyone to use, and their shapes go straight to the subconscious mind. I’ve covered ways to charge sigils before, but here are a few: Write them on your body, especially sigils that are personal to you such as “I am filled with energy” or “My heart is light.” ; Draw them on your food, with sauce, chocolate, honey, carve them in cookies, draw them at the bottom of your cup with honey, etc. ; Draw them on your clothes/soles of your shoes ; Use the elements. Burn them, draw them on a balloon, bury them, let them dissolve in water, heat them, draw them on the earth, pass them through smoke… ; Place them on a charging device ; Post them on tumblr and make it so that likes charge them and reblogs cast them ; Draw them on a foggy mirror so that they charge when the light hits them ; Use sexual energy during sex or masturbation ; Use blood ; Draw them on yourself while you dance, sing, work out, take a shower ; Focus on them while meditating ; here is a more comprehensive list.
  • Spells; Oh you witches know spells. Well they’re a brilliant way to help things manifest. They are, essentially, trying to make things manifest.
  • Say what you want. Say it out loud. “Peace and joy fills my every day life!” “Today is an eventful day!” “I thank the world for these opportunities.” Your voice is a vibration, those vibration expand indefinitely. They go on and on. They help things come true. Talk to your tools, use the vibrations of your voice to program them, tell crystals what you want from them “Protect me.” “Empower me.” “Be my friends pls I am so lonely.” Same with your water, with everything. Incantations also help and are an amazing tool. Same with vocal sigils. Sing, write poems and read them aloud. Even music, listening to certain music helps putting you in that mindset.
  • Make a wish board. A magical pinterest. A wish box. A wish tree, a book filled with pictures and drawings and poems of what you want to manifest. It’s up to you, but visually representing your wish really imprints itself in your subconscious.
  • Meditate. Meditate on what you want to manifest. This ties into vocally aid manifestation, but use mantras too. Put love into what you want. Use meta to help heal and bring peace and love.
  • Visualise. Visualisation is such an important part of a lot of spells, and there will be a longer, more detailed lesson on visualisation, but visualise what you want. See yourself holding your lost pet, eating a yummy pizza, getting better at swimming, learning French, living comfortably, getting your job, publishing your book. Visualise.
  • Use tools. There are many tools that’ll help materialisation, such as citrine helps materialise wealth, and some herbs promote materialisation, or specific things. Use the tools you have access to.

In conclusion, remember you detain a lot of power. Your words, actions and thoughts are amazing tools. May you be a witch or just a regular chap, you have power. Believe that.

Homework: Manifest something! May it be something tiny or something huge, manifest something via ANY way, sigils, vocally, plants, etc. Even if it doesn’t work, at least try and tell me how it goes!

screaming-pixel  asked:

any good book recommendations? I'm just starting so i have no idea where to really start

Well, that’s a good question. Depending on the sects and areas of witchcraft that you may be interested in, there are plenty of books that many (including myself) might recommend. For instance, here is my Kindle library for witchery thus far (some aren’t shown, and many others I own in tangible paper form):

Out of all of my books, I would recommend the following for starters of basic witchcraft/Wicca (links to Amazon):

Buckland’s Complete Book of Witchcraft

Wicca: A Guide for the Solitary Practitioner

The Book of Dark and Light Shadows

A Spell Crafter’s Compendium

Llewellyn’s 2015 Magical Almanac

Your Book of Shadows

Spellcasting for Beginners

I feel like these are a good foundation or base to set you up for future research and basic spell practice. These are, however, just my recommendations, and I would definitely say to do a little more digging around to find out what books you would more like to follow, as well as other books down the path you might want to take an interest in (like my interest in herbal medicines, for instance!).

anonymous asked:

Hey, I'm just curious but- I thought that the bible was against all forms of witchcraft, Revelation 21:8, Deuteronomy 18:10-13, etc. How can you practice witchcraft in spite of this?? (not against this in any way, just very curious. I'm sorry if this comes off as offensive.)

1: the Bible specifically name necromancy, future telling, and spirit work as no nos I don’t do those:
2: king James wrote a book of discourse called demonologie which touched on subjects of how to handle witches, demons, werewolves, and vampires. When king James had the Bible translated for his version he saw talk of magic and decided that instead of specifics like in the other translations that he would just call it witchcraft because after one bit well received book he considered himself a know it all.
3: the church really enjoyed killing heretics but some people just weren’t doing anything wrong.. so they decided that by use of torture and informant ion from Demonologie and backed by the Bible.. they started accusing innocent people of being heretics.. ridding towns of witches so they could charge a lot of money and nobility in the area could take over land that was basically given to higher ups because it was given over to the town after the heretic was burned.
4: it’s a big bunch of mess started by the man to keep good people down!
