After a trying very, cranky weekend of several failed attempts to capture or process a decent 8x10 impossible project double exposure- — after having been among the earliest of adopters and most avid advocates of the film (I’m on the cover of one of the manuals for christ’s sake), here is the only result suitable for public consumption. Unless you like pure white exposures with a silver frame around it. One from a broken shutter. Another from placing the negative the wrong way round in the holder. And those are two of the best of the alternatives. In any case I think this one sums up how we three — muse, photographer, and camera — feel about the whole affair.
i am only publishing this first attempt at tray processing an 8x10 color negative because it is nothing short of a miracle of modern chemicals that an image even exists after the ass backwards butchery I inflicted on this hapless sheet of portra 160 in the dark…and then in the light, long before there was meant to be light.
