David’s all running on empty cos he’s sleep deprived, pumped up on adrenaline and hallucinating like fuck, and he’s in Zelena’s old cell but he isn’t even sure how he got here from outside, all he knows is George is in front of him… and he just attacks.
He’s letting all his hurt and pain and frustration out, screaming at him, telling him he’ll never forgive him for what he’s done; what he’s put his family through.
And he’s not registering George’s words, begging him to calm down and think clearly… his pleas won’t save his skin now, there wasn’t even a sorry in his pathetic cries. He doesn’t deserve mercy. This vile man took his brother, his father… he doesn’t deserve to live.
So David delivers that vital blow.
He stabs him. He relishes as the man cries out. He lets the darkness that had been slowly creeping into him take over for that split second, enjoying the twisted agony on his face as he slips down the wall… gloating as he tries to grasp his coat with his hand and hook-
David’s vision begins to clear.
Only it’s not George on the floor, in front of him.
And he’s bleeding out.
Shit. David begins to panic. He tries to stop the bleeding, crying out for someone to help. Ratchett shows up and reluctantly runs to get medics.
But David is scared. Klllian’s losing blood and fast. He’s barely holding on to consciousness. The medics finally arrive and get him on a gurney and wheel him out.
Flashes of Killian on a familiar looking gurney attack his brain and- this is all his fault.

The man in question hummed noncommittally at his wife, much more focused on the mess of wires and metal seated on the table beneath his hands.
His fingers slipped on the slick metal, the wires falling from his hands and connecting in a shower of sparks. Dropping his head into his hands, Jack groaned. Maddie shifted her frying pan between her hands, allowing her to reach over to her husband.
“Jack, honey, give it a rest. You need to take a break.”
