Carl Grimes x Reader, Maggie and Glenn x Adopted Daughter Reader

Summary: When you and Carl sneak out of Alexandria to “explore”, you find more than you bargained for in an abandoned house.

Warning: Fluff, drug use (marijuana), mentions of sex, implied smut, language, angry parents lol

“Are we still meeting up tonight?” You ask Carl as you hold Judith, bouncing her up and down on your hip.

“Yeah. We just have to be more careful this time. My dad almost caught me sneaking back in last time.” Carl says, taking Judith from your hands.

You and Carl had been dating ever since you got to Alexandria, and ever since you two got here, you’d sneak out a few times a week to go “exploring” outside of the walls. More often than not, you’d end up just going to the cabin that was a few miles outside of Alexandria to have sex, but occasionally you two actually went exploring around the abandoned neighborhoods. It was sort of a tradition now.

“I’m surprised I haven’t got caught yet. Maggie and Glenn are always up at random hours of the night for god knows why.” You respond. You and your parents were a part of Rick’s group ever since the beginning, but they had gotten killed during the attack of Hershel’s farm. Ever since then, Glenn and Maggie have acted as parents towards you, and you couldn’t be more thankful.

“Probably because they want to wait until you’re asleep to-“

“Ah, stop there.” You put a finger to Carl’s lips, making him laugh. “I don’t want to think about that.”

“If you can’t talk about it, you shouldn’t be having it.” Carl said in a mocking tone, repeating what Maggie had once told the two of you when she had walked in on a rather heated moment.

“Ah, shut up.” You playfully roll your eyes.

You’d thought of Castiel this way before, but you’d had no idea it’s what he wanted as well. And from what you could tell, he wanted it bad.

Sam and Dean had found a case immediately after their werewolf case, a few towns over from where they already were, so they’d just went straight there.

Being With You

You and your boyfriend Woojin had a tradition. Every week, you spend time at his dance studio, him working on a choreography and you working on your drawing, before heading over to grab some street food. It’s a good tradition.
(For anon who requested bf woojin fluff)

“Is it done yet?” Woojin asked quietly, peering over your shoulder curiously, patting a towel on his forehead where sweat had beaded.

“Almost,” you replied, carefully moving your pencil across your page in quick, precise strokes, “thank you again for agreeing to let me draw you.”

“Anything for you,” Woojin replied, pressing a quick kiss to your forehead, “I’m gonna run through the choreo one more time, if it’s okay with you?”

“Yeah, I should be done by then,” you responded with a smile, focusing on the page in front of you.

Ever since before you’d started dating, you and Woojin had a tradition. He’d practice whatever choreography he needed to, and you’d sit in the dance studio, drawing. Most of the time, you’d just work on a sketch that you’d previously started, but this time, you’d decided to do a quick sketch of Woojin dancing.

It gave you two a chance to be with each other, doing something that you loved. It was nice to have the time reserved to just be, enjoying each other’s presence. You realized that your pencil had stilled over the paper, eyes following Woojin’s sharp, powerful movements as he danced to the beat of the song blaring over the speakers.

You turned back to your drawing, carefully shading in Woojin’s hair and putting the final touches on the sketch. You finished up just as Woojin was cooling down, stretching out his muscles so that he wouldn’t cramp. Wordlessly, the two of you followed your weekly routine, you shoving your supplies into your backpack and Woojin putting his sweaty clothes into his gym bag.

“Ready to go?” He asked, holding a hand out.

“Yeah, ready,” you replied, smiling as you took it. “Ah wait, where’s your towel?” Woojin dug around his bag for the towel, producing it proudly, and you took it, carefully wiping the sweat from his forehead. “You’re all sweaty, I don’t want to have people see you like this,” you chuckled, pressing a kiss to his freshly cleaned cheek.

“Thanks, (y/n),” Woojin replied, reaching down to squeeze your hand in his. The two of you trekked to a tteokbokki stall a few blocks away from Woojin’s dance studio, accepting the steaming trays of rice cakes gratefully before taking seats on the park bench by the stall, you curled up into Woojin’s side.

“You know, I’m really glad that we have this time,” you commented, shoving a rice cake into your mouth, “ah, fuck, fuck, that’s hot.” Woojin sighed, spearing a rice cake with a toothpick. He blew on it gently before holding it out to you, letting you chomp down on the cooled rice cake. Moments like that reminded you how perceptive and empathetic Woojin was. “But anyways, really. Life has been getting really crazy lately, and it’s nice to just take time to be with you.”

“I’m happy that you’re happy,” Woojin murmured, pressing his face into the top of your head, planting kisses there as he wrapped his arm comfortably around your shoulder. The two of you remained there for a while longer, just enjoying the tteokbokki and the time you had to spend with each other.

A Wild Night in Vegas -- Part 9

Okay. Well. @outlandishchridhe and I said it would be a while before we’d post a new chapter. We might have fibbed a little. Cause well, here’s a new chapter. We used plotting as a reward for getting homework done, which we totally did. And we had far, FAR too much fun plotting and writing this chapter.

Fraser Bairn Wach: Month 3

Jamie put the finishing touches on the quinoa salad as the door unlocked. Claire hung her keys up and dropped her bag on the floor.

“Why is it so bloody hot here?” she asked, heading to the refrigerator for a bottle of cold water.

While she took a long drink, he went to her bag and pulled out the plastic bag of wet washcloths to rinse and return to the freezer. Claire already had the extra out and pressed against her neck.

“Because it’s July in the desert, Sassenach,” he said with a laugh. “Did ye drink enough water?”

“I did, I promise. What did you make?”

Setting the bowl on the table, he stuck the serving spoon into it and took a deep breath.

“Weel, it’s a quinoa salad wi’ cucumbers and chickpeas, and a light yogurt dill dressing on the side, to use as ye like.”

“That sounds amazing. And it’s cool, oh I do love you Jamie.”

He gave her a soft kiss on her cheek and smiled as she picked up a slice of cucumber from the cutting board. It was true, what they said. Women had a particular glow about them when they were pregnant and his wife was no different.

Claire had gotten through the first couple months of her pregnancy pretty much unscathed as far as morning sickness was concerned. She had heard the horror stories of mornings filled with vomiting and not being able to eat and thought she had made it past the point that it would affect her. She thought that. But sadly, she was wrong.

It came on all of a sudden. Just one bite of the cucumber. One minute she was fine, the next, she was sprinting down the short hallway and into the bathroom to release the food she had just put into her mouth. Jamie, who had been startled from his dinner preparation by her sudden departure, heard the retching coming from behind the closed door and knocked tentatively.

“Sassenach? Are ye alright?”

He heard her gasp before she answered.

“Yes, I’m fine. Don’t come in! I don’t want you to see this.”

The water came on and he listened while she brushed her teeth. A moment later, she came out, her face still a little flushed.

“Are ye sure you’re alright, Sassenach?”

“Yes, I’m just fine. I’m perfectly alright now. Though, I think I might not be able to make myself eat the cucumbers in the salad…”

“Dinna fash. I’ll pick them out for ye and eat them myself. I made them big chunks, aye?”

She filled a glass with water and began to drink it while he fixed her a bowl without cucumbers. The rest of the evening was uneventful. They snuggled in bed, though he was hesitant to let it go further than that.

In the morning, he set aside a portion of the leftovers from the previous night for Claire’s lunch, taking care to pick out the cucumbers. Then he started getting together a small breakfast for her, knowing she had a very full day between her classes and work. He’d just buttered some toast and set it on a plate when she came out of the bedroom.

“Morning,” she said, grinning at him.

“Morning, mo nighean donn. Are ye hungry?”

Steering her away from the plate of eggs he’d fixed, he sat her down at the table.

“We’ll no’ see each other all day and I’ll probably be late wi’ work tonight. Let me feed ye properly, at least.”

Rolling her eyes, she folded her arms and waited. Finished, he filled her plate with the eggs and toast. She took one big bite of the perfectly cooked eggs and her hand went to her mouth. Immediately, he knew she would bolt to the bathroom again by the look on her face. This time he followed her in.

While she gripped the sides of the toilet, he held her hair back and out of her face until she finished retching. The sound of it had him worrying that something was wrong with the bairn. Finally, it was over. She sat back and slumped against the wall, her face covered in sweat.

“Are ye alright?”

“I am now.”

“Do we need to call your doctor? I’m gettin’ worried.”

Shaking her head, she closed her eyes and leaned against the wall.

“Unfortunately, this is completely normal,” she sighed, wiping her mouth and taking his outstretched hand to stand up. “Completely normal. It’s just morning sickness.”

“That doesna really explain you being sick last night though.”

“Well, they call it morning sickness, but really it happens all the time. It can happen any time of day and all through the pregnancy, although I’m really hoping our little one here doesn’t keep making me sick or it’ll be a long 6 months to go.” She smiled as she said this, caressing her very, very small bump. She would throw up every day, and gladly, as long as the baby was safe.

Jamie rubbed her back gently, still worried.

“And you’ll be alright at school? And work?”

“Honestly, I feel perfectly alright now. I’ll take it as easy as I can, I promise. But I’ll be fine.”

She brushed her teeth again and followed him back out. Opting for a bowl of cereal instead of the eggs, she finished and grabbed her lunch bag.

“What’d you pack me today?”

“Leftovers from last night. Wi’out the cucumbers. Picked them all out myself.”

“Such a gentleman you are.”

With a deep bow, he gave her hand a kiss.

“Lord Midnight the Blue, at your service, my lady.”

“I’ll see you tonight, my lord. Try not to break yourself at work?”

“Ye ken I fight the dark forces of Merlin. Sometimes that involves taking a blow. But I’ve got a fine lady of medicine waiting for me at home who’ll tend to my wounds.”

Car keys in hand, she smirked from the doorway.

“Just make sure to sneak her out the back door before I see her.”

He let out a hearty laugh as she left.

Thankfully his show had gone well and he hadn’t left with new injuries. Claire would be pleased. As he pulled out of the employee parking lot, he thought about her struggles with the pregnancy sickness. With a stroke of inspiration, he drove to a grocery store and bought her three red roses.

At home, Claire was bustling around the kitchen.

“You’re home!”

“Aye, I am. Sorry I’m late.”

“It’s alright. You’re here now. Hungry?”

With the roses in one hand, he wrapped his arms around her, presenting the flowers with a flourish.

“Starved. But I’ve a wee gift for ye first.”

“Oh Jamie! What’s the occasion?”

“Weel, I figure you’re about three months gone now, aye? Three roses for three months. I canna do the work for ye or take this sickness for ye, but I can bring ye something to say thank you.”

Turning around in his arms, she put her own around his neck and blinked back the tears.

“I think that’s the sweetest thing anyone’s ever done for me. I didn’t think you’d kept such close track.”

“Of course I have, mo nighean donn,” he said, hand over the nearly invisible swell. “This is my child too. I want to keep track of how our bairn’s progress is doing. And to say I love ye more and more every day.”

“I love you too, Jamie.”

Claire set the table and served them both dinner. They ate happily while she regaled him with details from her day, both school and work. Admittedly, he didn’t understand most of the things she said about her classes, but she was happy. That was all he ever wanted.

Dishes in the sink, they cuddled on the couch for a little while. The three red roses sat in a vase on the end table where Claire had put them.

“Ye ken what day it is, Sassenach?”

He tried to keep his smile down, but he couldn’t. Monday was easily his favorite day of the week for one very good reason.

“Ye ken how ye let me take a photograph of yer wee belly on Mondays?”

Heaving a sigh, she slowly stood and started to walk towards the wall he liked to take the picture against.

“Honestly Jamie, I’m not even showing yet. At most, it looks like I’ve a food baby that’s settled there. I don’t know why you want a picture of it. I just look bloated.”

“I want a picture,” he said, turning her slightly after she pulled her shirt up to reveal her belly to him. “Because I want to watch you and the bairn grow.” He kissed her softly then pulled away.

“I want a picture because my beautiful wife is pregnant and glowing with our wee babe inside her.”

“I’m glowing because my skin is so oily and it’s shining in this light,” she retorted, though she smiled at him when he pointed his phone in her direction, unable to keep her hand from touching her near-flat belly.

“Take yer hand off there, Sassenach. I want to see the belly.” He smirked at her over the top of his phone and took another few pictures. She rolled her eyes at him and stuck her tongue out, but let him do as he pleased. Whether she would admit it or not, she also wanted to see her body grow and change, the subtle swell of her belly get larger with their child.

“And ye are glowing. It’s not just yer face, yer whole body seems more alight. Ye look completely beautiful. It’s not just the look of ye either, ken? There’s something all around ye now. I canna explain it, but it’s there.”

He leaned down and took her lips against his, her face shocked but pleased at his assessment of her.

“I do love you something fierce, Jamie Fraser,” she whispered to him between kisses.

“I love you, too, mo nighean donn. Come on. Let’s go to bed.”

About a week later, Jamie was just getting things out to start on dinner when Claire suddenly pushed back from her desk. She’d been studying for an exam all afternoon on her day off and he’d been trying to give her space. He’d been taking careful note about what different foods set off her nausea and had avoided using them at all costs.

Pulling the refrigerator door open roughly, she began digging through the drawers, muttering to herself.

“How do we have no cucumbers in this whole bloody apartment?!”

Frowning, he opened a jar and set it on the counter.

“Cucumber? The last time ye had any, it left ye puking yer guts out! I havena bought any in a week.”

She stood up and closed the door. He glanced at her just in time to see the tears welling in her eyes. Her bottom lip began to tremble as a red flush started up her neck. When her mouth opened, he thought she might yell. What happened was much, much worse.

“I just… Wanted… B-bloody cucumber…”

Then the dam broke and she shook with intense sobs. For a moment, he stood there in complete shock. His mouth hung open while she wept in the middle of the kitchen. He rushed to her and pulled her close, trying to find a way to soothe her.

“Hush lass, dinna cry. If ye want a cucumber, I’ll go and fetch ye one. Dinna cry, mo nighean donn. I’ll fetch ye a whole bushel if ye wish.”

Slowly, her head came up from his chest, her blue eyes amazingly bright from her tears.

“W-would y-you?” she stammered between hiccups.

“Aye, lass. I’ll go right now.”

“Th-thank you, Jamie.”

Considering her emotional state, he bought as many cucumbers as he could fit in the produce bag at the grocery store.

She was on the couch when he got home, no longer crying, thank God. She looked a little sheepish but, as soon as she saw him, she hopped to her feet and began reaching for the bag.

“No, no, a nighean. Let me wash one for ye first.”

He rinsed and brushed a large cucumber off before turning to the cutting board. Claire stood directly behind him, eyes on the vegetable.

“Christ!” he yelped, moving back. “I didna even hear ye get off the couch!”

Her eyes darted from him to the cucumber and back. When she licked her lips, he nearly threw it at her for fear of losing his own fingers.

“Here! Take the damn thing!”

She held it, staring down at it for a moment. Quickly, she picked up the knife Jamie had been about to use and chopped one end off before taking a huge bite. It wasn’t until she’d swallowed the bite that she looked up and met his eyes.

“I’m sorry, Jamie. These hormones are… I don’t even know what to do with myself. I didn’t mean to start crying like that. I’m sorry I frightened you.”

“Dinna fash, lass. Ye didna frighten me. I worried I’d been an arse somehow and hurt ye. If I’d kent ye wanted them, I’d have bought them at the store today.”

“I know, and I didn’t know I wanted them until I got up from the desk. I promise, it wasn’t you at all. Thank you for getting some. It’s quite good.”

Cupping her face in one hand, he smiled fondly at her.

“All I want is for ye to be happy. If ye need me to get ye cucumbers in the middle of the night, I’ll find some way to make it happen.”

She looked up at him seriously for a moment.

“I want you to be happy too. I feel like sometimes… I feel quite selfish. You do all these things for me and…”

Jamie cut her off with a long, slow kiss. He rested his forehead against hers and waited until she met his gaze.

“Ye do plenty for me, Claire. You come home after long days and make us dinner, you always ken when I need ye, when I’m hurting after work and yer willing to rub my shoulders for me, when ye get up before me to make a coffee for me, ye’re doing sae well in classes and working and growing our bairn. Trust me, Sassenach, going to fetch ye a wee cucumber is but a blip on the radar.”

He saw her eyes get teary again and hugged her close.

“Ye are perfect, mo nighean donn. Yer everything I didna know I wanted until I met ye. Dinna think that yer not worth that.”

He heard her soft sniffle against his shirt and ran a soothing hand down the length of her back.

“I love you,” came a watery voice from below his chin.

“I love ye, too, mo nighean donn. Come on. Let’s having something to eat, aye? Aside from yon wee cucumber there.”

That earned him a small laugh and a thump to the chest, but her eyes shone up at him, filled with wonder at this man who could love her so much.

She helped him prepare the rest of their dinner and they ate cuddled up on the couch instead of at the table, needing to just be close to one another.

When they went to bed that night, right before he drifted off to sleep, arms snugly around her, he heard her whisper, “How did I ever get so lucky as to find you?”

He smiled and searched for her mouth with his, giving her a sleepy kiss before bringing her even closer and pulling her into sleep with him, safe and secure in each other’s arms.

Askbox / Masterlist / What I Write

“Hey, Y/N,”

The faint sound of Lin’s voice pulled you out of a deep sleep. You groaned, barely opening your eyes to find him kneeling by your bedside, fully dressed.

“I’m leaving,” he whispered, planting a soft kiss on your forehead. “I’ll be back around three, okay?”

“Don’t go,” you protested, pulling him closer. “Stay in bed with me. You haven’t even been home for twenty-four hours.”

“I have to go to rehearsal.” he insisted, kissing your lips this time. “I’ll be home in a few hours. I promise.”

He kissed you one more time before leaving your bedroom, closing the door behind him.

Lin had returned from seven months in London the previous afternoon, a fact that had you nearly bouncing off the walls with excitement. You picked him up from the airport, had dinner, gone to see Waitress, and headed home only to pass out a few minutes later.

Today was the day of the Tony Awards. While he wasn’t up for any awards this year, he was expected to present the award for Best Musical. Rehearsal started at 7 am, which explained why the sun had barely risen when he kissed you goodbye.

As much as you wanted to stay home with him catch up on all of the physical activity missed while he was gone, you knew he had a responsibility to be there. Instead of hoping, it would be best, you figured, to be productive.

You got up, started the coffee maker and began rifling through his things in an attempt to put them back where they belonged. Clothing that had been washed before he flew home was promptly put away, the dirty clothes placed in the hamper to be washed later.

You managed to get a few loads of laundry done in the basement of your building and put some other household items back in their place. Things Lin could have (and would have) easily done himself, but you were feeling particularly generous due to his return.

When you glanced at the clock after getting a large amount of work done, you realized it was just after three. He was due home any minute.

As if on cue, the front door opened and he stepped in, looking visibly exhausted.

“You look more exhausted now than you did this morning.” you pointed out, greeting him with a brief kiss.

“I’m fine,” he insisted, though you could tell he was clearly lying.

“Why don’t you try to take a nap?” you suggested, slowly nudging him toward the bedroom. “You’re gonna be out late tonight, you could really afford the extra sleep.”

“I should help you.” he insisted, catching sight of the stacks of clean laundry waiting to be put away in the living room.

“I don’t need your help. I need you to take a nap.” you insisted. “I’ll wake you at five.”

Though he still didn’t seem to agree with you, he headed into the bedroom anyway.

When five rolled around, you made your way to the bedroom only to find him already awake, typing away on his phone.

“You didn’t even try to sleep?”

“I got maybe an hour,” he assured you. “I couldn’t go back to sleep so I just started responding to emails.”

“Well, it’s five,” you reminded him. “You should probably start getting ready to leave.”

You could hear the faint sound of the shower running from the bathroom as you relocated the clean clothes to your bedroom. You’d managed to put most of it away by the time he got out, instead focusing on your attention on watching him get dressed up. A fact that he found rather amusing.

“Am I distracting you?” he teased, staring in the mirror as he tied his bowtie.

“A little bit,” you confessed, a small smile on your face. “You clean up nicely.”

“Yeah?” He smirked at you.

“Your hair is a little flat though,” He turned to you as you stood up and adjusted his hair slightly so it rounded a bit more. “There. Better.”

“Is it good?” he asked, glancing at himself in the mirror again.

“Your hair looks fine. You still look really tired though,” you admitted.

He seems slightly defeated by your words. “I guess I can’t fight jet lag.”

“I can help.” you offered with a sly grin.

“Wait how can you—” he stopped mid-sentence as he watched you kneel in front of him. He stepped back, pressed against the wall, watching you reach up and unzip his dress pants.

You smiled up at Lin, meeting his eyes while you pulled him out of his briefs and took him in your hands. You cupped him in your hands, loving the feel of the soft skin, gently running your fingers along the base. You offered him a wicked smile before you licked the tip, swirled your tongue all over the head, and kitten licked up and down his length. You paid special attention to the bundle of nerves right below the head before swallowing him down.

He groaned, running his hands through your hair; not forcing you down, just holding you as you wrapped your tongue around his dick and sucked and licked and—

“Oh god,” he moaned, arching forward, fisting his hands in your hair. You took all of him, swallowed him down to the hilt. You chuckled with him still in your mouth. He breathed heavily, “Fuck, this is so go… good.”

As you bobbed your head back and forth, you could feel him tensing up. You moved your head slower, grazing your tongue slowly along the bottom of his dick.

“I’m close,” he managed through staggered breaths. You glanced up at him again, winking when your eyes met. That sent him over the edge.

With a long groan, you could feel him spill onto the back of your throat. You swallowed with ease, pulling him out of your mouth and licking him once more for good measure.

He was out of breath, wiping a few beads of sweat from his forehead as you stood up.

“Feel better?”

“I uh… I’m awake.”

“I know, you look it.” You tapped him on the shoulder once, kissing him on the cheek. “Alright, go get ‘em.”

He was gone within minutes, off to meet his parents downstairs before heading downtown. After finishing with laundry, you pulled your laptop out and sat in front of the TV, waiting for the awards to start.

It was a while before they started and even longer before he was on to present the final award.

When he did come on the stage you headed to Twitter, where there a large were a number of people discussing Lin and how good looking he was considering he’d flown in from London less than 48 hours before. Some mentioned how young he looked, another person added that he looked rather ‘bouncy’. Even you had to agree they were right, he looked much better on stage than he did after rehearsal a few hours ago.

You were at least partially responsible for that, you figured, which gave you a small sense of pride.

You pulled out your phone, typing a quick text to him knowing he would see it after the show.

Everyone says you look really hot… I guess I saved the finale 😏

I’m taking full credit. My blowjobs are magic

It was a few minutes before you received a response.

That’s probably true, but maybe we should try a few more times just to make sure? 😉

You smirked at your phone and quickly typed up a response.

I hope for your sake you get home before I get to bed

After a few minutes, he responded.

I have never wanted to leave the Tonys so quickly in my life.

Even though it was around three in the morning, he didn’t want to fill his studio full of moans and groans in fear that someone would walk by and hear him. The company building was a bit busier these days, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if someone was walking down the halls.

He felt your hand grab his, bringing it to your head. He looked down at you, watching you bring him out of your mouth with a pop following after. You smiled up at him, sticking your tongue out as you licked his throbbing member.

“Come on, baby. Lead me,” you told him, removing your hand from his before placing his tip in your mouth. You hummed, his body jerking as he shut his eyes.

“Fuck,” he whispered, grabbing a handful of your hair and lowering your head down on him. He pulled your head up by your hair, enjoying the feeling of your tongue running along the back of his cock, the way you hollowed out your cheeks, and the small hums you would make when you were at the tip is what would drive him over the edge. You knew every little thing that would make him go crazy. “Fuck, princess.” He wanted to go slow, but he couldn’t help himself from pushing you further down, bucking his hips up as the sound of your gags filled the studio.

He couldn’t contain himself from fucking the shit out of your pretty, little mouth.

He was so lost in the high of you that he didn’t even stop himself as he bucked himself into your mouth mercilessly as he ejaculated. He didn’t remove himself until you swallowed every last drop of him. He could feel your tongue rise and fall as you swallowed his cum.

“You almost done for the day?” Tony, my new worker, chuckles as he puts on his coat. He smiles at me, humming as he puts his tools away.

“Almost. If I have to look at a car engine one more time,” I start out and he laughs, shaking his head. “Someone’s in a good mood.”

The scars, from what I’ve heard, are painful and can only be removed by your soulmate’s kisses. Your soulmate literally has to kiss the scars away. See what I mean when I say “children’s fairytale”?

“I don’t really know how to explain it to you,” he leans against the doorway, smiling at the memory. “When you meet your ‘soulmate,’ you just know. A wierd sort of fire ignites in you.You want every bit of them and they feel the same way about you. Your scars tingle before simmering down at even her slightest touch. I don’t know.”

“Aw look at you,” I smile widely at him and he blushes. “Get out of here, go home to her.”

“Thanks, boss,” he walks out, tipping his hat to me.

“Have a good one, kid.” I sigh, wiping the grease off my fingers as I turn off the lights and shrug on my coat.

“H-Hello?” A croaky voice comes from the garage door and I immediately perk up. It wasn’t one of my workers, Tony was the last one to leave.

“Who’s there?” I quickly grab a crowbar and tiptoe towards the voice. “Hello?”

“P-p-please,” the man coughs, a thump following. “H-help.”

I run over to the garage door only to find a man in ragged clothing, seemingly passed out on the floor. He barely made it into the garage. I lean down, crowbar placed only a foot away in case this guy was playing me.

I poke him. Nothing. I groan, slightly pushing him over… whoa. He’s beautiful. His dark blond hair is plastered against his bloodied forehead, bruised lips parted as he lays there.

“Damn it,” I sigh and run back to grab my bag and the keys before making my way back over to him. I lean down and pull him up, holding him against my shoulder as I walk out and lock the garage.

I huff, panting and grunting as I bring him over to my place. I trudge him up to my apartment and lean him against the wall, holding him up with my leg as I open the door.

“Come on, big boy,” I pout, pulling him into my bathroom. Using my toe, I push down the toilet seat cover and gently set him on there. I sigh and quickly wash my hands before turning to tend to the bloody yet still somehow beautiful man. I gently run my fingers through his blood spattered hair, stopping when i feel my hands run over some jagged bumps.

“What…?” I push his hair apart and see multiple small scars all over his scalp. I gasp, pained as I notice other scars covering every inch of his bare skin. I cut off his clothing, hoping to clean the blood underneath them before anything gets infected.

As I work my way down, I realize that there is not an inch of him that isn’t covered in some sort of wound or scar. Once I finish cleaning his body, I look up at his hair, still bloody and matted. I grab a towel and some hot water and clean it gently so as not to wake him. I bite my bottom lip, not wanting to think about how much pain he must be in.

Once I finish with his hair, I lift him up, placing one of his arms around my shoulder as I slowly drag him to my room. I lay him down on the bed and grab a pair of boxers, gently lifting them up his legs. I lift the comforter over him and step away, sighing and leaning against the wall. I turn the light off and step out, leaving him to rest.

The Next Day

I wake up early the next day and check my room just to make sure last night wasn’t all some really wierd, sad dream. I open the door and find him still sleeping, light snores leaving his mouth as I back out the door and decide to make pancakes for the handsome stranger. After settling on pancakes and eggs, I get to work. I set up the plates, wash some fruit, finish cooking, and as soon  my work is done, I make my way to the injured man in my bed.

“Hello?” I peek in the doorway, the darkness of the room enveloping me. I walk over to the side of my bed and run my fingers through his soft hair. I smile lightly, sighing as I turn to open the curtains. The sunlight filters through the window, bouncing off the white walls.

“Hm,” I hear a little grunt and turn to face the man in bed. He groans in pain and turns over on his side, pulling his blanket with him, revealing all the scars on his back.

I bite my bottom lip, unsure of what to say as the man winces and groans, still not moving.

“Hello?” I whisper, walking over to the bathroom and grabbing a first aid kit while also trying to engage him in conversation.. “Where are you hurting?”

“E-everywhere,” he whimpers and my heart breaks for him. “Please help me.”

“I-I can try cleaning your wounds again?” I whisper, sitting next to him on the bed as he turns to face me.

“Again?” He responds, his piercing blue eyes studying my face as I try to remain level-headed next to the Greek GOD that was in pain.

“Yeah. Last night, you stopped by my garage all battered and bruised, so I brought you back to my place and cleaned your wounds and–”

“I came to your garage last night?” He looks at me, brows furrowed and bottom lip between his teeth.

“Y-yes, you came to my garage last night,” I whisper, eyes darting between his eyes and his lips.

“So, so you’re Angel?” His eyes widen as a lightbulb goes off in his head, a sigh almost leaving my mouth as he removed his bottom lip from the painful grasp of his teeth.

“H-How did you know my name?” I whisper and furrow my brows, this time it’s my turn to be confused.

“I-I’m your soulmate,” he mumbles, a blush covering his cheeks as the idea settles in my head. “I asked the seer in my district, and he told me–”

“He told you my name? How accurate are these seers exactly?” I stand, picking my guard up as the man looks at me with soft eyes. Panic sets in as I look into the mirror over the dressers and take in my appearance. I look like a mess compared to my… “soulmate”

“Hey, hey,” he whispers, slowly sitting up in pain as he tries to calm me down.

“Don’t move,” I whisper, moving forward and gently pushing him down into the bed. “You-you’re hurting. Stay here.”

“Then stay with me,” he grabs my hand, a spark moving through my hand up my arm to my shoulder and down my back. I quickly pull my hand out of his grasp but don’t move, curious to see what he’d have to say.

“What’s your name? How am I supposed to help you feel better?”

“My name’s Nathaniel Archibald. You can call me Nate if you want, all my friends do,” he looks up at me hopefully as I nod, waiting for him to continue. “To answer your earlier questions, the Seer didn’t tell me your name, no. They’re always right, they’ve got a 100% accuracy rate. All he told me was that you owned a garage in Chicago. I narrowed my search to female mechanics in the city. There weren’t that many, but still. From there, it was up to me. I stopped by every garage on the list until I stumbled upon you. All the other women had either found their soulmates or knew that I wasn’t it for them.”

“How do you know that you weren’t it for them?”

“They either had scars themselves or my scars just didn’t act up,” he shrugs and looks up at me, his blue eyes studying me through those long lashes.

“S-so is that why you were in so much pain last night?” I whisper and look down, unable to hold his stare.

“Yeah, that’s what happens when you find your soulmate,” he gently grabs my hand and this time, I don’t oppose.

“Are you still hurting?” I wince as he sits up slowly, unable to look away from the scars that are now in plain view.

“The pain stops when you touch me,” he studies my face, gauging my reaction as I look up at him with wide eyes.

“The scars fade off eventually, I promise! I hope! I won’t always be this hideous,” he chuckles, trying to cover his insecurities but I catch on.

“Hideous?” I raise an eyebrow at him and he nods nervously, unable to meet my eyes. “Hey,” I cup his face slowly, a warm feeling coursing through my body as his scars dim momentarily. “You’re the furthest thing from hideous I’ve ever seen. I promise.”

He takes a deep breath, closing his eyes and growing visibly more relaxed.

“Feeling better?”

“Very much,” he nods, a smile gracing his exquisite features as he opens his eyes. “How about you?”

“I’m okay,” you nod, not able to keep yourself from smiling. “It’s just… are you sure you want me to be your soulmate?”

“What?” Worry settles on his beautiful face and I shake my head quickly, attempting to better explain myself.

“It’s just, I mean,” I sigh, looking away as I explain. “I can help heal you and send you on your way, if you prefer. You’re an actual Greek god. I’m a greasy mechanic. I’m not the–”

“You’re perfect,” he whispers, his breath fanning across my lips as my eyes shoot up to meet his, heart leaping out of my chest as his blue orbs shine so close to my own.

“What? But I–”

“No buts. You’re perfect. I’m sure I want you.”

“Are you sure you–?”

“I’m sure. I swear. I promise. I want you,” his forehead presses against mine and I open my mouth to protest yet again. “If I have to kiss you to make you see, I will!”

“Well,” I blush and bite my bottom lip. “You don’t have to.”

“Oh well,” he nuzzles my nose with his own and slowly presses his lips against mine, a fire igniting deep within me as his hands move to my waist. A gasp erupts from us both as his scars slowly fizz out from under our fingertips. We pull away for a moment, panting as it finally settles in.

Soulmates it is.

Mafia!Jungkook Imagine Pt.4

Imagine your a police officer trying to arrest a mafia boss… A quite special one. In the end, nothing goes like planned… And suddenly he’s your boss.

Mafia!Au, and a little bit of everything?

Part 1// Part 2// Part 3// Part 4

“What the hell are you two doing? Play tagging? Can I play along?”.

The sudden deep voice startled you and you wiggled yourself out of Jungkooks sharp grip. A young man was standing about 5 metres from you, holding a file. Big glasses were laying on his nose. He looked like a scientist. A big, boxy smile made him look really cute.

“No, Taehyung… I told you I have to train her. What are you even doing here, aren’t you supposed to mix drugs or stuff?”

The guy named Taehyung just shrugged his shoulders and kept on smiling. "Yeah, I probably am, but Yoongi asked me to tell you something. I just hope my lab doesn’t explode while I’m here… Anyways, he has a little job for you. So you should visit him when your… training is over.” He flashed you an irritated but bright smile and left in a hurry.

Jungkook seemed like he wanted to say something, but Taehyung was already halfway trough the door. As the door closed loudly, he turned around and faced you. He tried to cover it up, but you could tell he a little bit was confused. However, you didn’t want to ask him about it, he wouldn’t tell you anyways. Especially since he got back to his old self in seconds. Which included his evil smile forming on his lips.

“So… This isn’t working. I mean, you can’t run away in a real fight, so we’ll be doing it differently. I’ll teach you how to attack today and how to defend yourself tomorrow. Alright, sweetie?”

You gulped. Why was he even asking? There was only one answer.

4 hours later you knew some basic punches, mainly karate techniques, as well as a few kicks. It was more than you ever wanted to know and you were basically crawling around from exhaustion, but Jungkook seemed as flawless as ever.

“This one’s called Mawashi Geri. You basically just lift your leg up on the right or left side of your body and swing it to the front. Use your hips for that. I’ll show you.”

You watched Jungkook as he easily kicked in the air, his foot higher than your head. Damn. He was basically fighting like a young god and you couldn’t even lift your leg up to his head. And even if you could, your attacks were so weak they’d only tickle him. But you weren’t complaining, in the end it was your very first training lesson with your own kidnapper. You didn’t expect yourself to fight well or anything, even if the urge to punch him in the face was growing with every single amused expression he made. During the last few hours, the two of you had trained without a break. And you had to admit fighting really helped you to get your mind off of your current situation. However, your muscles were aching and you ’ve never felt that exhausted before. As you watched him you tried to catch your breath, but it was impossible. You really needed a break. Like, a 12- hour- break. Or a 365- days- break.

Jungkook didn’t seem to think so. He finished the kick and looked at you with a summoning expression. Really? Couldn’t he see you were already wobbling like a jelly fish? You weren’t having it. Instead you wiped the sweat off of your forehead and shook your head.

“Come on, do you even know the word break? If you do, I really need one.”, you said breathlessly.

Jungkook raised his eyebrows and- laughed. You were confused. Why was he suddenly laughing? “I was wondering when you’d finally ask. Your official training was over two hours ago, but I thought a little bit of extra training wouldn’t hurt. Especially since you didn’t complain.”

Your chin dropped to the floor. You weren’t sure whether to punch him or to scream in frustration. You ended up just giving at him a death glance, but he just seemed to laugh even more about that.

“Your lucky I can’t really move my arms right now… Don’t think you’ll get away with that.”, you said, even though you knew he was, in fact, going to get away with that. You wanted to sound angry, but you probably sounded like exhaustion itself.

“We’ll see, sweetie.”, Jungkook said grinning.

“Go to Lisas room, I think she’s got something for you. I’ll see you tomorrow morning, (Y/N)."

Before you could answer anything, he already rushed out of the room. Why was everbody in a hurry here? You sat down on the floor, finally relaxing a bit. You remembered Taehyungs words. What did he mean with "job”? Maybe you should’ve followed Jungkook. In the end, you still were a police officer. And if you ever got out of here, you surely were going to need informations to finally get the mafia down. And you weren’t going to tell anybody about your little karate lessons with a Mafia guy, that wouldn’t help anyways. But now wasn’t the time to think about stuff like that, you needed to find Lisa.

Just as you walked out of the room, you bumped into a tall guy. You quickly stepped back, you didn’t want to risk anything. However, you were curious about the other person. You’d only yet seen to people here, who yould it be? You looked up to the guys face, who stared at you.

He had pink hair and narrow, black eyes. He wasn’t smiling but you could still see the dimples on his cheeks. He was wearing a black suit and a white shirt underneath. He definietly was part of the mafia, but… Your eyes widened in shock and your blood froze. Suddenly realization hit you. You knew this man. And judging from his shocked expression  he remembered you too.

He just stared at you silently, so you decided to say something. It was hard to find the right words.

“Namjoon. I always doubted you were dead. But I didn’t expect to meet a former police officer here.”

Namjoon sighed.

“You always knew I had a few problems with the mafia. Faking my death and working for them was my only option. But I see I’m not the only one. Didn’t expect to meet you here either, (Y/N).”

You pressed your lips together. All the time you’d thought he was dead. You were the one telling his family and friends. You’d seen them cry over him, you’d seen their hearts break. You’d visited his grave. And now he was here, standing right in front of you, definietly alive. This man had left everyone who loved him behind. No reason you could think of would excuse this behaviour. But in the end, he must’ve gone though what you were going though right now.

“I was kidnapped, but that’s a long story…”, you just said. You still were too shocked to confront him. The silence was awkward.

“Oh. Eum, well… I have a lot to do, so excuse me, but I need to go.”

You just nodded. But suddenly you remembered that you still needed to find Lisas room.

“Oh, wait! Do you know where room 233 is?”, you quickly asked. Namjoon turned around and furrowed his brows.

“Yeah, sure. Just take the stairs, It’s at the end of the second floor. But what do you want from Lisa?”. Now, that was strange. Why was he that irritated? Lisa said she was a newbie too, so It should be normal that she was in contact with you.

“She’s showing me around and stuff.”, you casually said as you carefully watched Namjoons expression. He seemed confused.

“Oh, ok. Just… Don’t trust her, (Y/N).”

Description: You’re on We Got Married with Taeyong PT. 3

Warning: None

“This is it.” Taeyong said, pointed to a large white house the two of you were approaching. “Right there.”
The two of you had, after you stopped ignoring Taeyong for messing with your panties, went to his dorm to gather his things. True to his word, in the mix of packing, he had flung a pair of his boxers at you, almost collapsing in laughter when you screamed and yelled, throwing the cloth across the room, acting as if it had bit you. That led to you ignoring him and giving him the silent treatment for the rest of the time he took packing and the drive to the honeymoon house, up until he pulled into the driveway of the home you would be staying in for the next few months.

WGM Question Time
Q: How did you feel about your wife giving you the silent treatment the first day?

Taeyong: “Well I know she was just playing, she couldn’t be that upset over clean underwear, could she? Either way, it’s not that bad, she’s quite cute when she pouts.”

WGM Question Time
Q: Was the underwear incident worth giving your husband the silent treatment?

You: “Not really, but I’m going to punish him. I mean, it was one thing to touch my underwear, but to throw his at my face? Who does that?”

“Do you want to go check out the house while I grab the bags?” Taeyong asked once he parked the car, looking at you in the passenger’s seat.
“Sure.” You shrugged, watching his as he dug the key out of his pocket and handing it to you. Taking the key, you left him at the car and trekked up the sidewalk, pausing at the front door. Turning the key in the lock, you gently pushed the door open, and were surprised to see a fully furnished living room, and from what you could see, the kitchen was done as well. Stepping inside, glancing around at the living room, Taeyong entered behind you, dropping some of the bags near the door.
“Looks like they decorated for us.” Taeyong commented, walking further into the house, inspecting the clean bathroom, fully stocked fridge, until you came across the single bedroom, that you two would share…with a card taped to the door. Plucking it from the door and opening it, he read out loud for the two of you.

Dear newlyweds,
Welcome to your honeymoon house.
As you know, you will remain here for the next 4 months.
We(the WGM crew) took it upon ourselves to decorate the house for you, as a gift to the newly wed couple.
We however, did not decorate the bedroom you will be sharing.
Because after all, every couple should design the most relaxing room in the house together.
In this envelope, you will find a credit card, with a fixed amount of money.
Once settled, the two of you should head out and work together to decorate your bedroom.

“Well,” Taeyong sighed, tucking the credit card in his pocket and opening the bedroom door, revealing a completely plain room. There were a few items. A simple stand, lamp, dresser, and a large bed. Other than that, the room was completely bare. There wasn’t even pillows on the bed. “I guess we’re going back out?”
“Looks like it.” You groaned, following him out the house, making sure to lock it, and back in the car for a trip to the store.

“What do you think about these?” Taeyong asked, holding up a pair of dark curtains. “I don’t know about you, but I don’t exactly like waking up at the crack of dawn thanks to the sunlight coming through the window.”
“Good idea, put it in the cart, I’ll be back.” You said. “I want to find something.”
“Alright, hurry back.” He turned his attention back to different blankets, sheets, and pillow cases while you disappeared in another isle. Trailing down the clothing isle, glancing at the items on the racks, you spotted pajama sets.
Don’t couples have matching clothes? You wondered, picking up a cute set of His and Her pajamas, and tucking them under your arm. I hope these fit him.
Returning back to his side, Taeyong again asked your opinion on just having all black bedding, saying it was easier to keep unstained.
“That’s fine.” You smiled, burying the pajamas under the curtains, a surprise for him later.
The two of you slowly wandered through the store, picking up oddball nicknacks to decorate your bedroom, a little photo album and instant camera so you could take pictures throughout your marriage, a few candles, bathroom necessities, and a few snacks before checking out. Taeyong stood in front of you, giving you an opportunity to take the pajamas and hide them behind your back while he checked out. As he was bagging our items, you handed the set to the cashier, quickly paying before he could catch you before the two of you loaded the bags into the car, and were on your way back to your new home.
The next couple hours were spent putting your bedroom together, helping Taeyong make the bed, hang the curtains, before unpacking your own possessions that had been left by the door. When the two of you finally finished, the sun was setting as you pretty much collapsed on the newly made bed, out of breath and exhausted.
“Are you hungry?” Taeyong asked, bringing his hand up to wipe a trail of sweat from his forehead.
“Absolutely starving.” You sighed, brushing hair from your face.
“Should we eat and call it a night?”
“Sounds like a plan.”
“Alright, I’m going to wash up before cooking, do you want to shower first?” He asked, turning his gaze towards you.
“No, you go ahead, I’ll shower in the morning.”
“Okay. I won’t take long.” He grumbled when he dragged himself from the comfort of the bed and sluggishly made his way to the bathroom. The second you heard the shower click on, you flew from the bed and ran to grab the pajamas set that you had hidden in a kitchen drawer. Stumbling back into the bedroom, the sound of the shower still going, you hurriedly swapped our your day clothes for the pajamas, and left Taeyong’s on the bed with a little note while you went to cook while he showered.
How nice of the crew to stock up the fridge. You thought, pulling out some meat, some vegetables, and rice, quietly cooking while you listened for when the shower would finish. And that moment came when you were plating the food, setting the plates on the kitchen table. You could hear him pause in the bedroom, the sound of his footsteps halting, obviously spotting the pajamas spread out on the bed.

I picked these up at the store, I thought they’d be nice.
This is what couples do, yes? Have cute matching clothes?
Hopefully fit, please wear them well.
Come to the kitchen, dinner’s done

WGM Question Time
Q: What did you think when you found the present from your wife?

Taeyong: “I was surprised. I don’t know how I missed her buying it. But I think it’s cute, our first day together and she’s already having us match. Cute right?”

WGM Question Time
Q: Why did you cook dinner when your husband said he would?

You: “Tae did a lot of work today. He refused to let me carry any of the bags, I know he’s tired. I wanted to let him rest after such a long day.”

When Taeyong turned the corner, you smiled, seeing him wearing the pajamas with a smile of his own on his lips. Thankfully they fit, for the most part. The pants might be a little too short, stopping short of his ankle, while your pooled around your feet with extra fabric.
“You cooked?” He mused, straying into the kitchen as you placed silverware and glasses on the table.
“Yes, you look exhausted, you shouldn’t have to cook, too.” You explained, settling in a chair, waiting for him to do the same.
He let out a breath of a laugh, placing himself in the chair opposite you, and tucking into the food.
“Ugh, it’s so good.” Taeyong mumbled through a mouthful of food.
“Thank you.” You smiled, happy your husband was pleased.
“I’m happy…” Taeyong whispered, picking at a piece of meat. “I think we’re going to have a good marriage…”
“I think so, too…”

Love at first sight

Summary: Josh spots you entering the venue for their concert and can’t help but watch you walk to your seat which is far away from the stage. During the show Josh keeps gazing in your general direction. During intermission Tyler tells Josh he noticed him staring and want’s Josh to do something about it.

Your Pov:

I was so excited. I was finally seeing my favorite band after months and months of waiting. I had saved up for this concert by working extra shifts at my job, and let  me tell ya it wasn’t easy. But all that matters is that I earned enough money for two tickets. One for me and one for my best friend.

The concert was on a Friday night and I was decked out in Twenty One Pilots merch.

“You look like some crazed fan girl.” My best friend told me as we were waiting in line to enter the venue.

“Oh please,” I scoffed at her. “There are people who are way more decked out then me.” I told her while looking around at all the young teenagers also dressed in merch.

My best friend just nodded her head. “True, true.” She said agreeing with me.

We had about 10 minutes until the doors opened and I felt like I couldn’t wait any longer.

“Why can’t they just open the doors already.” I complained to her.

“Because it’s not time yet, ya big baby.” She said back to me while hitting me playfully on the arm. I just sighed and decided to go on my phone for the next 10 minutes.

I must have been on my phone longer than I thought because all of a sudden my best friend was pushing me to move up a spot.

“Come on.” She said while reaching in her purse and pulling out the two tickets that would get us in.

“I’m still a little bummed out that our seats are in the back.” I told her honestly while moving with the line.

She nodded. “I know, me too but I guess all that matters now is that we get to see them live.” She said handing me my ticket.

I nodded, agreeing with her.

The line was moving pretty fast and before I knew me and her were in the venue and walking to our seats.

“Wait,” I said to her grabbing her arm.

“What?” She asked me.

“Can we go to the merch stand? I wanna buy a t-shirt.” I told her.

She nodded. “Sure, I actually wanna get something too.” She said back to me.

The venue was crowed. There were girls running around everywhere. It took us a while to get to the merch stand since we had to literally push our way through the crowd but we  made it. Once we got there though we had to stand in a long line. The line was moving fast though so I wasn’t worried about missing anything. While we were waiting my best friend and I made small talk.

“What are you going to get?” She asked me while looking around at all the merch. There was tons of stuff.

I shrugged. “I honestly don’t know. I’ll probably just get the original tour t-shirt since I don’t feel like spending even more money.” I replied to her while looking at the shirt.

She nodded. “That’s what I was gonna get too.”

Once we got our merch we made our way too our seats which were in the back. We sat down just as the opening acts were finishing up.

“Thank god we didn’t miss anything yet.” My friend said referring to missing TOP.

I nodded agreeing with her. It was only 8:30 so we still had at least 30 minutes till the show started.

“Wanna take a selfie?” She asked me while holding up her phone.

I smiled at her. “Is that even a question?” I asked her while laughing.

So that’s what we did for the remainder of the 30 minutes.

Josh’s Pov:

It was nearing shot time and I was just hanging out back stage with Mark and Brad just messing around. I was already dressed in my costume for the night and had nothing better to do.

“I dare you to look around the curtain.” Brad said to me.

I shrugged. “That’s easy, What kinda dare is that?” I asked him while laughing. Mark joined in.

I walked up to the little opening in the curtain that showed the crowd. I peeked my out a little and just look at the crowd. There were tons of people. Nobody seemed to notice me looking so I just kept looking.

As I was scoping the crowd out I noticed two girls in the very back taking selfies and laughing. The one on the left that was holing the phone had long brown hair and glasses. Her friend on the right though was really beautiful. She had the most amazing smile and was also decked out in our merch. I swear as soon as I saw her it was love at first sight.

I guess I was staring at the girl on the right for too long because Brad tapped me on the shoulder.

“Bro, what’s taking you so long?” He asked me.

I brought my head back in and looked at them.

“Nothing, I was just looking at something.” I told him.

“Nah,” Mark said while shaking his head. “Our boy was checking out this girl in the way back.” He told Brad while laughing.

“Really?” Brad asked me while joining Mark.

I just blushed and shook my head back and forth.

“I gotta get back to Tyler.” I told them while pushing past them before they could ask me anymore questions about the girl I saw.

As I was walking to go meet Tyler I noticed that I could’t get the girl out of my mind. Maybe I do have a crush on her, I thought to myself. I sighed. It’s never going to happen though. I’m never going to see her again I told myself while opening the door the Ty’s dressing room.

Your Pov:

It’s been about 30 minutes and it was finally time for the concert to start. Once the lights went off in the venue the crowd started to scream. Their opening started to play so me and my friend stood up and started to scream with the crowd. It was an unbelievable feeling.

All of a sudden music started playing. The intro to Fairly Local came on and the crowd went even more nuts.

When it got to the crowds turn to sing their part it was so loud. It was so loud that I thought my ear drums were going to burst.

Once the crowd finished their part the whole venue got quite and the curtain dropped. I swear I felt my breathing stop when it dropped. My friend and I were still screaming and dancing along with the crowd. Wow, I thought to myself this is gonna be a long night.

It was finally intermission so I sat down in my chair to take a break from dancing. My friend plopped down next to me out of breath.

“There doing great so far.” She said to me as she wiped some sweat off of her forehead.

I nodded agreeing with her. “They are.”

“You know what I noticed though.” She told while turning to face my way.

I shook my head no.

“Well I noticed that Josh keeping looking in our direction.”

I sat up straight.

“I have noticed that as well.” I told her agreeing with her yet again.

“It’s probably just a coincidence though.” She said.

Josh’s Pov(Intermission)

It was finally intermission and I could’t wait to get a drink of water. As I was drinking my water I noticed that Tyler started to make his way towards me, sweat dripping down his forehead.

“Great job tonight so far.” He said to me while patting me on the back.

“Thanks.” I said while putting the cap back on my water bottle.

He nodded. “But, I have noticed something.” He said.

I turned my head in confusion.

“What’s that?” I asked curious to know.

“I’ve noticed that you’ve been looking in one particular direction.” He said with a smirk. “It’s near the back on the left side.”

I sighed. I can’t believe that I got caught. I was looking at the girl that I saw earlier when I stuck my head around the curtain. The girl with the most amazing smile.

“I have been.” I said agreeing with Tyler. “Before the show started Brad, Mark and I were just hanging out on stage. Brad dared me to peek my head around the curtain and as I did I spotted this girl and her friend. The girls friend was okay but the girl that I was looking was beautiful. She had the most amazing smile and was decked out in our merch. I think I have I crush on her.” I explained to Tyler while smiling just thinking about the mystery girl.

Tyler nodded. “You should say something to her.” He told me seriously.

I shrugged. “Eh, it’s not like I can just go over there during the middle of the show.” I told her.

“I didn’t say you had to do it now. You can do it after the show while everybody’s leaving.” He explained.

“What about the fans?” I asked confused on how I was supposed to do this.

Tyler just looked at me like I was stupid. “Duh, that;s why we have security guards dummy.”

I nodded still a little nervous.

“Maybe I’ll do it.” I told him while getting ready to go back on stage again.

“You better.” He said. “You might never see her again after this.” He told me seriously while also getting ready.

Your Pov:

I couldn’t believe it was over. I was almost in tears because I was so happy.

“That was awesome!” My best friend shouted and we sat in our seats. We decided to sit and wait for the traffic to clear out.

“I know! I can’t believe it actually happened. I’m still in awe.” I told her while smiling.

She nodded agreeing with me.

“Josh kept staring over here again.” She told me.

“Really?” I asked her. “I didn’t see it as much as last time.”

“Oh trust me he did.”

It’s been about 10 minutes now and there were only a couple of people left in the venue.

“Ready to go?” I asked my friend.

She nodded. “Yeah, let’s go, traffic shouldn’t be as bad now.” She told me.

We stood up from our seat and made our way towards the exit. As we were walking up the stairs my friend stopped me.

“Look who it is.” She whispered in my ear while pointed at the top of the stairs.

I looked up at the top of the stairs and I could’t believe my eyes. There standing next to a security guard was Josh Dun. I couldn’t believe it. It felt like I was in a dream.

All of a sudden he came running down and stopped when he got to me. He was smiling so big that I couldn’t even see his eyes anymore.

“Hi.” He said sweetly.

“Hi.” I responded back to him. I was so nervous.

“Great job tonight.” I told him.

“Thanks.” He said. “Can I ask you something?” He said to me while twiddling with his thumbs.

I nodded. “Sure.” I said. What on Earth could he have to ask me? I thought to myself.

“This might sound weird but earlier before the show started I stuck my head from out of the curtain and was just looking through the crowd. I noticed you and I have never seen someone so beautiful. If you haven’t noticed, during the show I kept  looking your way because just couldn’t get you out of my head. During intermission Tyler noticed that something was bothering so I told him about you and he told me that If I didn’t go out and speak to you he would personally do it himself. I guess what I’m trying to say here is can I have your number? I think your really beautiful and I kinda have a crush on you.” He told him. Once he was done he let out a big breath.

“Sorry if I rambled.” He quickly told him.

I was in shock. Did THE Josh Dun just ask me for my number and then continued on saying that he had a crush on me? I asked myself. I couldn’t believe it.

My thoughts were interrupted by my friend shoving me lightly from behind.

“Of c-course you can have my number.” I stuttered, slightly intimated.

He seemed to be over the moon.

“Great.” He said excitedly.

He reached into his pocket and pulled out his phone. After he got a new contact set up he handed it to me.

I put my name and number down in the correct places and handed it back to him.

He looked down to see.

“Y/N.” He muttered to himself. “That’s a beautiful name.” He told me while looking up and stuffing his phone back into his short pocket.

I blushed at that.

“Thanks.” I said shyly.

“Well I gotta go.” He said sadly looking back at the guard who looked inpatient and very annoyed.

I nodded understanding.

“But I’ll make sure to text you sometime tonight or tomorrow.” He said.

“That sounds good. Nice meeting you Josh.” I said to him as we both went our separate ways.

He nodded all smiley. “Nice meeting you too Y/N!” He shouted back at me while turning a corning and disappearing from sight.

When he was gone my best friend turned to me and started screaming out of pure joy and excitement for me.

“What the hell just happened!?” She shouted while we walked out of the venue and started making our way towards the car.

“Josh Dun just admitted that he had a crush on my and asked me for my number.” I told her while laughing at her.

She just shook her head.

“Smart ass.” She said smiling at me.

After about 5 minutes of walking we finally made it to the car. The whole time we were walking she was freaking out about what had happened.

“I just can’t believe that actually happened.” She said while she turned the key in the ignition to start the car.

I just shook my head and sighed in complete bliss and happiness.

“Trust me, I can’t believe it actually happened either.”

“Who would've’ thought that THE Josh Dun would give you his number and say that he has a crush on you and that him and Tyler talked about you and-.” She was interrupted mid rant as my phone went off.

I swiped my finger across the lock screen to open it. Once I opened it I noticed that I had a new text message. I clicked on the i-message app and read the new message.

Hey Y/N, this is Josh! I hope you had a good time tonight:) Text me back and let me know if your free anytime this week. Maybe we can hang out and get to know each other better? Just let me know, anyway have a good night!!

There were some off speed moments and those really brought a new character to the whole dance. Not to mention the music. The music is amazing. It’s slow, but not like classical ballroom style. There is some emotion, a story that speaks for itself.

The birds were loud. The birds were so goddamn loud. They woke me up before I even had a chance to attempt to sleep through my alarm clock, let alone come up with a lie to my wife about why I had to call in “sick” for work today.

Neither would’ve worked anyways; she’s always on my ass about stop being lazy and you have to go to work today! Or sometimes she wouldn’t say anything at all. She would just give me this look that made me both grunt and shiver at the same time. I hated it.

Runner Runner (Brendon Urie - Panic! at the Disco)

Word Count: 1,302

It was hard being the younger sister of the one and only Brendon Urie, yes lead singer of Panic! at the Disco was your big brother who was famous and loved by hundreds. You always felt like your own achievements never matched up to your big brothers success over the last ten years. You were five when he was signed and now at fifteen you still lived in his shadow.

However you got on with him great, you loved his wife Sarah who always spoilt you with shopping trips and the rest of the band treated you like their own little sister and helped you prank your brother. But just for once you wanted someone to take notice of you and tell you well done.

You were a cross country star at your high school, you rarely lost but you never got to share the success with anyone because they always seemed to be busy. You didn’t want to interfere in their famous life’s and beg them to come to just one cross country meet, but it would be nice if they took the hints you’d been dropping for the last two years.

The praise of your sports teachers would have to be enough, they came to every race and celebrated with you when you won. Even the rest of your team supported you more than your family and friends, maybe all you needed was them to support you and see you grow with every meet.

Today was another meet, however this one was different because if you won you were going to receive an award for excellence in the sport. It was a big deal but like usual your parents had an excuse not to come and see you run, it looked like you were going to do this alone.

As you lined up with the forty other students from other high schools around the country you dared one last glance at the growing audience. Your eyes widened as you locked eyes with someone familiar, your brother of all people was standing amongst the crowd blending in. He saw you looking and smiled before giving you a thumbs up. Before you could register the start gun went off and you went into running mode.

You started the twenty laps taking your time to pace yourself as not to use too much energy early on in the race. One by one, lap by lap other runners who had gone all out at the start of the race started to slow down leaving you room to break through and take the lead around lap ten.

Looking over your shoulder your next competitor was a few hundred yards behind you giving you some breathing room. You let the fact that your brother was here to support you spur you on, you needed to win the race not just for you but also for him. He had his success and now you wanted to share yours with him.

As you came to the final corner there was no chance of anyone catching up with you. You went all out and sprinted across the finish line to a huge eruption of cheers from all sides. Standing up you took deep breaths to calm your racing heart down. Your sports teacher came up to you with a bottle of water and you happily gulped it down as you waited for the next girl to cross the finish line. It was another good five minutes until that happened and only then did it dawn on you that you’d come first.

‘Congratulations little sis, I didn’t know how fast you could run.’

Brendon came up behind you and hugged you just as you wiped sweat off you and handed the towel back to your teacher. As happy as you were to see him, you were confused as to why he was here.

‘Brendon what are you doing here? I mean I’m ecstatic that someone’s finally come to one of my races, but why today?’

He pulls away and runs his hand through his hair before looking down at his feet.

‘Yeah about that I’m sorry sis. I didn’t think you wanted any of us here, you never asked anyway. I went to mum and dad’s and they said that you were running, I decided that now was as good as time as any to come and support you. You’ve been there for me over the years and now I need to make up for not seeing you stand in the spotlight.’

You shake your head and drink more water.

‘I got bored of asking and no one ever showing up so I just stopped making a fuss. Running isn’t the same as touring around the world for hundreds of fans. I think mum and dad see this as a hobby I’ll grow old of, but I’m really good at running Brendon.’

Brendon frowns before pulling you into another hug; you wrap your arms around his waist and rest your head on his chest as he strokes your hair.

‘You were amazing out there; no one could come close to beating you. This is your passion like music is mine. Can you forgive me for not supporting you more? I will come to every race you do if you let me know, if it’s important to you then it should be important to me.’

You smile and pull back.

‘I would love if you came to more of my meets.’

‘Excuse me miss but are you y/n Urie?’

You turn around to face a woman who smiles at you; she looks in her late twenties.

‘Err yes I’m y/n Urie.’

Brendon lets you go as you shake her hand.

‘I’ve been watching your career since you started running and I’ve never seen someone with such natural skill and drive to achieve success. I’m Maria Lowe and I’m the coach for the American Olympics Athletics team, mainly the track events.’

Your eyes widen as you take in the information overload. The woman stood in front of you was part of the Olympics coaching team; it had always been a dream of yours to compete one day.

‘I’ve had a word with your high school coach and we both see potential in you. How would you like to come and train and audition for the 2020 Olympic games athletics team Miss Urie?’

You were speechless, this couldn’t be happening to someone like you. Running was just a high school sport you didn’t see yourself doing once you left. But now you had a once in a lifetime opportunity to possibly compete for America in the future Olympics, this was a dream come true and you couldn’t turn it down.

‘Wow thank you so much and my answer is yes, this has always been a dream of mine.’

Maria laughed.

‘You’ll make a great addition to the team. Now I better talk to your coach before we make anymore arrangements. It was nice meeting you y/n.’

You waited until she left to start jumping up and down squealing in front of Brendon who looked shocked.

‘My little sister representing America in the Olympics, now that might trump music in our parent’s eyes. Congratulations my little runner.’

Brendon picks you up and spins you around while you still squeal in excitement as to what had just happened to you.

‘I’m so happy you came today Brendon, I wouldn’t have wanted to share this moment with anyone else but you. I love you big brother. Will you come and see me run in the Olympics?’

He nods.

‘I’ll be front row chanting your name. I’ll break out the glitter and make the best banner anyone’s ever seen.’

This day couldn’t get any better for you. It finally looked like everything was falling into place.

Threading the web #7: Character Analysis: Amadeus Cho (part one)

Ah, it’s finally finished!

After countless months of staying in my computer, the first part of the long awaited Amadeus Cho analysis has finally  been finished! Sorry for the breif wait, I had to get to some college related things before I could upload it. -_-

*Wipes sweat away from forehead*

So let’s jump right into it, shall we?

Amadeus Cho first appeared in “Ultimate Spider-Man” in Season 3, episode 14 “The Next Iron Spider”. In the series, as well as the comics, he’s known as the seventh smartest student in the world, despite being only 13 years old at the series’ start. Also, according to Peter, he has “an uncharted IQ, has skipped a few grades, holds several patents, and is banned from all game shows.”

He was recently transferred to, and attends, Midtown High along with Peter. However, his presence is an issue in itself because, before Cho came along to Midtown, Peter was the head honcho of the school in terms of grades, and was number one in every one of his classes. Now, with Cho attending, Peter had to renounce his title as being the smartest person (or #1) and was moved down to #2, much to his dismay and disapproval. Because of this, there had been a sense of rivalry between the two.

When we first meet Cho at Midtown High School’s science fair, Peter shows off Tony Stark’s Iron Spider model and it undoubtedly amazes Cho. However, when both boys spot each other, their reaction to one another is… not the best. They both look at each other in disgust and address the other person’s name while having an epic stare off, proving their sense of rivalry.

But aside from his brilliance, what else do we know about Amadeus Cho? I mean aside from the fact that he was named after one of the most famous composers known to man?

Well we do know that he’s a follower of Tony Stark because, while continuing to ogle the new armor, he proclaims himself to be “Tony Stark’s biggest fan”:

Cho: You know I’m Tony Stark’s biggest fan, right? I even created an arc reactor similar to his. Next gen theoretical stuff.

But we also know that like J. Jonah Jameson, Cho isn’t exactly the biggest fan of Spider-Man. His views on the character have undoubtedly become influenced by the newscaster considering the fact that, after Peter tells Cho that he’s friends with Spider-Man (while showing off), he responds by saying:

“Don’t you keep up with the news? Spider-Man is a menace!”

-Amadeus Cho (Season 3, episode 14)

While this conversation is brief and short, at this point, it’s fairly obvious that Cho’s view on certain aspects, particularly heroes and villains, are very black and white. You’re either with him or against him, and there’s no in-between. How do I know this? Well, two reasons:

First, there’s his backstory:

Amadeus Cho was born the son of Helen and Phil Cho and was raised in Tucson, Arizona. I should also note that due to his parents love for classical music and Methodist beliefs they gave Cho the name Amadeus after the great composer, Amadeus Mozart. Sometime later, Cho appeared on a game show called the “Excello soap company’s “young genius” contest” which he won both first place and $5000 easily. It was also where he was discovered by the show’s host, Pythagoras Dupree, to have powers.

Yeah, Cho “technically” has powers in this version. However, they’re more or less based on intellect rather than strength or forc, eand I’ll get to that in a moment.forc, eand I’ll get to that in a moment.

In the comics, his abilities and/or “powers” (call them what you want) include, and I quote from the wiki, “the natural ability to identify the variables and quantum possibilities in any situation”. This means that given in any circumstance, Cho has the ability to rapidly create mental calculations and set multiple physical reactions in action within his reach.

Now, I’m no scientist in the terms of physics nor calculations, but I’ll sum it up in the best way I can.

Basically, Cho can use his mind to create variables and predict probable outcomes of a situation within a matter of seconds, sort of like someone who can see into the future. In fact, Athena, one of Cho’s allies, claims intelligence is based on what’s known as “pattern recognition”, and that he can see 99.999999993% of patterns better than the average human on Earth can.

I gotta say, if the goddess of wisdom herself says that, then you KNOW you’re smart. 0_0

Sadly, after Dupree realized the boy’s powers, he had Cho’s house blown up, which killed both his parents in the process. As a result, Cho, along with a small little coyote pup named Kirby, leaves on his Vespa scooter on the run for his life. The death of his parents, as well as the need to constantly evade killers, leads him unable to trust anyone he comes across in fear that they would either betray him or get killed in the process (save for the Hulk who Cho strictly sees as a hero). Speaking of Bruce Banner, I should also mention that in the comics, Amadeus Cho is, in fact, not the Iron Spider, but another version of the Hulk. Cho doesn’t even touch the Iron Spider suit or, more or less, even think about it in the comics, so it’s quite a different spin on Amadeus’s character that’s actually fitting considering his brilliance in technology and since he’s a fan of Tony Stark’s inventions.

Now how he became the Hulk is actually a quite interesting story. Due to an incident where the original Hulk (that being Bruce Banner of course) absorbed a dangerous amount of radiation that could’ve possibly killed him and a lot of people, Cho injected special nanites into his body which allowed him to turn into his version of the Hulk and remove the ability to change from Banner’s body.

Now it’s unknown exactly how much of his backstory they’ve managed to convey in the series considering that it’s a show for kids (plus it’s Disney), but even though the show doesn’t outright talk about Cho’s past the hints and clues are still there.

Luckily this leads us to our second reason:

He’s still just a kid.

When you really think about it, for a thirteen-year-old kid, Cho’s been through a lot. When you’re constantly on the run for your life from people who are trying to kill you, it makes sense why trusting others and having an open mind about people is a hard thing to do.

In fact, this brings up a theory I have that involves Midtown High and Nick Fury, believe it or not:

Remember how in the beginning of the “New Iron Spider” episode when Nick was talking to Spider-Man about recruiting Cho? Did you ever notice that they only mentioned that Cho had been transferred and not WHY he was placed there?

My theory is that the main reason Cho is even attending Midtown High is so Fury can keep him safe from anyone who might want to kill him. I mean, think about it, Cho has been on the run from people who want to kill him for a good portion of his life, so it makes sense why Fury would want him to attend Midtown in case one of those people appeared and tried to hurt him. With the school holding some of S.H.E.I.L.D’s best heroes, (particularly Spider-MAn, White Tiger, Power Man, Iron Fist, and Nova) Fury knows that if trouble does manage to show up Cho, at the very least will be protected.

But getting back to his personality, let’s take a look at some of his interests in the show.

Besides being a fan of Stark, we also can tell that he’s a follower of JJJ and the “Daily Bugle” reports. Due to his “past” most likely J. Jonah Jameson has influenced him into thinking, and believing, that those who can easily be ousted as a menace must be hated. While he might be intelligent, it’s impossible not to understand that he’s easily influenced by JJJ’s words.

How do I know this? Observe:

After he states, albeit in a blunt manner must I also add, his thoughts on Spider-Man, notice how he walks away and doesn’t give Peter a chance to respond. Cho’s a very straightforward person and does not change his mind easily. His black and white perspective is something that plays an important role in his character and, while it was touched upon in this episode, it will resurface at a more frequent rate in the future (because it’s a problem that continuously bites him in the ass repeatedly).

Sorry for the language.

But getting back to the episode, later, Taskmaster disguises himself as Stan and tries to steal the Iron Spider suit before Peter (or in this case Spider-Man) calls him out on it. While Spider-Man, with the help of Nova and Power Man, are keeping Taskmaster busy, this gives Cho plenty of time to sneak back and take matters into his own hands by wearing the suit himself. Not surprisingly, with the Iron Spider in Cho’s hands, the kid proves to be a natural at the mechanics and technology that’s used to control it.

(Which, by the way, I have to bring this up but, Sam’s line about the booster seat thing has gotta be one of my favorite lines from this show).

Now fast forward to when Spidey and Cho are on the rooftop and the two boys are fighting, and this is the first step to Cho’s development as a character which corresponds to his feelings for Spider-Man.

Taskmaster breaks the hinges off of a billboard that threatens to fall and hurts innocent civilians. Cho notices that Spider-Man is keeping the civilians safe from harm and, thankfully, turns on Taskmaster.

After the Iron-Spider suit gets hacked, Cho begins fighting against Spider-Man against his will while he’s knocked out inside of the suit.

With the addition of saving the people from the falling billboard, it’s at this point that Cho’s now starting to see what kind of a person that Spider-Man really is. Also, when he wakes up, notice that instead of letting the suit do what he wants, instead, he’s starting to get frightened and repeatedly apologizes to Spider-Man while attacking him. This shows that, while he dislikes Spider-Man, he doesn’t detest him to a point that he’d want to hurt him. In fact, due to what’s currently happening, it wouldn’t be an understatement to call him scared at this point.

Because in this scenario, Cho’s technically the “bad guy” and that’s something that he never wanted to be. If you remember in the beginning of the episode, after he stole the Iron Spider armor, Cho constantly bragged to Spider-Man how he could be a better hero than Peter could and, as I mentioned before, shows off his black and white outlook on things.

And not to mention that karma kinda bit him in the ass.

You know what, Rogers?

But getting back to Cho, this is also the first time that he understands how smart Spider-Man really is, and how well they’re both able to come up with a solution to a problem. Observe:

Peter: Calm down. We need a core interrupt. But you’d have to be able to write a multi-function–.

Cho: Hibernate-suspend program call.

Peter: That’s…exactly it. Get on it!

When they finally manage to get the suit working, Taskmaster activates Iron Spider’s self-destruct motion and sends it into overload thanks to the Bug still hiding in Cho’s armor.

And you all know the drill from there, they stop the clock all’s right with the world.

But let’s take a look at the final conversation that Spider-Man has with Cho before the episode ends.

Cho, realizing that what he did was wrong, tries to give back the Iron Spider uniform claiming, “You’re right, this isn’t finders keepers. You can take it back, I wasn’t meant to wear it.”

But Spider-Man, or Peter, on the other hand, tells him to keep the uniform and states, “I admit, I couldn’t have done what you did.” much to Cho’s surprise. Peter then tells Cho this:

“I’ve realized two things today. One, being smart is a superpower. And two, being a hero isn’t about power, it’s about good choices and heart. You’ve got the armor, and a solid head start on the other two. So… consider it on loan.”

-(Peter Parker)

From here we can see that Spider-Man has fully gained Cho’s respect and is no longer considered a menace in his book. Also, While Cho’s black and white outlook on him has changed, it still isn’t enough to turn it around in general. How do I know? We’ll get to that in a future episode.

The next time we see Cho is in Season 3 episode 8 entitled, “New Warriors” where Cho, along with Agent Venom, Kazaar and Zabu, are introduced to Spider-Man’s old S.H.E.I.L.D team (which, if you’ve forgotten, consisted of: Iron Fist, White Tiger, Power Man, and Nova) and they begin training. On the field, Cho is paired with Power Man for practice, and the two prove to be a pretty good team together. He even is shown to get along quite well with Flash which, if you compare his attitude now to how Cho behaved from the episode when he was first introduced, you’ll notice how willing he is to actually work with others.

In my opinion, this is a major step forward in terms of development for Cho because, considering how he used to live his life on the run, he’s starting to learn to place his trust in others, or in this case, his comrades.

But, there is a sense that he places a little too much on trust on them, to the point that it might make him a bit reckless. Case in point, this scene from Cloak, Dagger, Vulture, and Taskmaster’s invasion on the Triskelion.

If you recall, after Flash and Cho commenced this attack, they managed to release Scorpion, Beetle, Doc Ock, and the Green Goblin on accident.

So…in the words of Tony Stark:

Sadly, this leads to Cho’s armor being destroyed by the Goblin and the rest of the Web Warriors to retreat in order to create a new plan. As a result, Cho begins to believe that, due to his armor getting torn that now he now has no way to fight back.

“We didn’t just get beat. I lost my armor. I’m a liability.”

Now while this is not entirely true, I think we should take a look at his face when he says this. Notice how upset Cho’s face turns while calling himself a liabilty:

I mean, I would be feeling pretty upset if MY armor got destroyed as well, but really think about it. For a good portion of Cho’s life, he’s been pretty used to being a liability to someone due to his constant need to be on the run. If you really think about it, being a part of SHEILD might’ve been his one chance, or so he believes it to be, at becoming the hero instead of the victim. While the scene doesn’t last long, it is a moment that pokes a bit at Cho’s self-confidence without the armor to help him out.

Another thing scene that I feel we should talk about is when Spider-MAn is about to leave his teammates to go after the Goblin. Notice how while he’s talking and giving orders, Cho looks and sounds unbearably worried. He even blurts this out:

Cho: What do you expect  me to do? I don’t even have armor!”

Peter: It doesn’t matter that you don’t have any armor. You’re the smartest one here!

(He tosses a USB to Cho)

Peter: Get that to a computer, you’ll know what to do.

Once again, another scene that focuses on Cho’s self-confidence in himself. But what really makes this scene notable is the fact that, like the previous scene, he feels little to no self-confidence in his actions. The kid is starting to realize that this isn’t like a classroom where he can figure things out with little to no pressure on him and in the snap of a finger, no, this is a battlefield. And in battle, you have to make split decisions on the turn of a dime. The pressure is on and it’s on high. You’re either fit for this lifestyle or you’re not, and we all know that Cho DEFINITELY is because later, after Spider-Man leaves, he begins taking the reigns as leader.

Heck, He even gets to give Ock the final punch after declaring his team’s name WITH CONFIDENCE (must I also add):

Ock: You’re Children.. You’re nothing. Just more of Sheild’s run-of-the-mill old lackeys!

Cho: We’re not old lackeys. We’re New Warriors!

You tell ‘em, Cho! :D

Now the next time we see the character is in season 3 episode 16 entitled “S.H.I.E.L.D Academy” cheering on Spider-Man’s arrival to their new school.

Much like a lot of intelligent kids his age, we quickly find out that Cho has a bit of a competitive side to him (see the whole top bunk deal).

However, I do feel that it’s necessary to point out that Cho, being the most academically inclined to everyone, is the first to notice that the “school” does not have any books or desks. Of course, Fury explains that “S.H.I.E.L.D Academy” is not like your typical, average high school nor is it a typical classroom.

Now, why would I point this out? Because it shows that Cho is very attentive and observant which makes sense considering his backstory in the comics.

Now, how else do I know that?

Well, aside from asking Fury about the classroom, when they’re actually in the middle of a lesson, notice that he’s the first person to figure out something’s wrong:

Cho: Quit trying to hack my system, Spider-dweeb.

Peter: Hey! I’m not hacking you.

And, because he noticed that an odd transmission has been “pinging his tech”, Cho begins taking matters into his own hands by going through the archive files without permission in order to find out what it is (while, of course, being followed by Spider-Man). On their way, the two find the remains of Arnim Zola and, before they head back to class, Cho might have accidentally caused him to switch on. Things are only made worse when he returns to the archives and the suit turns on, giving away the secret of how he and Peter are in the SHIELD archives, as well as activating Zola full-front.

Y’know, I’d hate to be a hater but, for a super genius, you seem to be lacking a bit in the common sense department, Cho. I’d TOTALLY trust a head in a tv that was kept LOCKED AWAY in a forbidden archive center.

So, Zola gets away which causes Cho to become worried that, if Spider-Man snitches on him to Fury, he’d get kicked out of the Academy. Spidey agrees to keep what happened on the down low until later on while doing some research on the villain and looking for him through the security cams. Cho, not surprisingly, had been tracking down Zola as well and even upgraded his uniform with an interference signal that would override Arnim.

You smart child you!

Now, joined by Power Man, Agent Venom, the team goes through a secluded part of the Academy and find Zola.

And you know the drill from here they fight TV Zola, win, and surprisingly Spider-Man gets in trouble by taking the blame for Cho’s folly (without his knowing). Now what’s funny about this ending is that Cho didn’t even know about how Peter took the fall for him. I mention the episode’s conclusion because, this scene is later brought up and referred to in Season 3 episode 21 entitled, “Attack of the Synthenoids”. Now, in my opinion, this is where Cho really sees just how far Spider-Man will go to keep his friends out of trouble. For example, after being suspected of being another one of Zola’s synthezoids, Spider-Man asks Cho to tell him about Tony Stark’s latest invention, which he replies a typical science filled answer.

However, after Spider-Man believes him then we get this line:

Cho: So Zola’s back huh? Can’t belive Fury found out about it and pardoned that. Must be because he was too busy yelling at you, right?

Peter: I was covering for you! I told Fury I activated Zola  so you wouldn’t get kicked out of school

Cho: What? No way!

Danny: It’s truth. Your actions caused the spider to be punished.

Cho: I…I didn’t know, I’m sorry. Thanks Spidey.

Now, this moment really speaks out to me because I think it might be the first time that someone’s ever taken up for Cho in this manner. (I, of course, could be wrong as I haven’t read any of the comics) But if you remember when the incident first happened, Cho was nervous that he’d be kicked out of the academy. So the fact that someone like Spider-Man, a person who Cho originally thought to be a menace, would take the fall for him instead really speaks out to him and allows Cho to know that Spider-Man is a true ally.

Fastward to the three (that being Danny, Peter, and Cho) all search for Zola, Cho gets caught by a group of synthezoids. But what I find particularly noteworthy about this moment are two things:

First, notice how similar that Cho behaves like a coyote in this situation (which makes sense considering Kirby in the comics). For those of you who don’t understand what I’m saying let me explain:

When coyote’s (or any wild animal for the fact) get caught in traps, it’s common for them to chew their legs off in order to escape and do whatever they can to survive.

In this particular incident, Cho’s instincts are kicking in full-fledged. Similar to Taskmaster’s invasion, he understands that he has, once again, become a liability and is stuck in a situation, or trap, that would slow him and his comrades down. His friends are the rest of the coyote’s body, and he’s the trapped leg. And what does he do? He chops it off.

Well, not literally, but you get my point.

Coincidently this also leads to my second point, Cho’s sense of honor.

Before separating himself from his peers he mumbles this to himself:

“I owe you one Spidey.”

Because of Spider-Man taking the hit for him earlier, obviously, Cho feels a need to pay him back and sacrifices himself in order for the others to get away. He’d rather avoid putting others in danger and would rather put himself at risk the then lives of others.

The last time we see Cho (at least in Season 3) is in part three of Contest of Champions arc where he, Agent Venom, and Spider-Man must battle against the Grandmaster’s league of villains.

Now there’s nothing completely noteworthy about this episode except for one thing… Spider-Man actually reveals his identity to his friends.

Unlike Flash,, who was probably the most flabbergasted at Peter’s revelation, Cho, while undoubtedly surprised about it, actually handles the situation a lot better than his more dumbfounded partner. In fact, if I’m going a bit farther, I think he might’ve had some level of knowledge regarding the fact. He states that he had no idea that Peter was Spider-Man, but listen to the way he says that line. While he is surprised, he’s not downright shocked about the fact, unlike Flash. In fact, if I’m being honest, I think he kind of knew because:

  1. He’s a smart kid. You really think the 7th smartest kid in the world wouldn’t have been able to figure that out or even have the slightest clue about Spider-MAn and PEter Parker being the same person? (though really to be fair, the guy’s voice is kind of a dead giveaway)
  2. It’s pretty hard to surprise Cho at this point. Seriously, Flash actually had a reason considering how he used to bully Peter but Cho? He doesn’t really have any leverage against the character except for the fact that they have a friendly rivalry going on.

And then we get to season 4… in the next part.

I know! I know! More waiting, but this thing was already long enough and I didn’t want the article to be too long! I’m sorry!

I know I’ve said this a million and three times alright, but thank you guys so much for your patience. I realize that it took me forever just to finish this but I’m happy that I finally managed to at least give you guys something before I go back to college in a couple of weeks. Until then, stay tuned for part 2 of this, which I will finish and upload ASAP! I hope you guys liked it as I’m trying to get back into the groove of writing again. It’s been a while.

Thanks and I’ll see you in the next article!
