wings of gold

CASSIAN //
The true depths of strength, of resilience, of honor and loyalty.

I didn’t think the others gave him enough credit—for noticing the shift in someone’s emotional current. To command legions, I supposed, he needed to be able to read that sort of thing, judge when his soldiers or enemies were strong or breaking or broken.

“I’m a warrior. I’ve walked beside Death my entire life. I would be more afraid for her, to have that power. But not afraid of her.” He considered, and added after a heartbeat, “Nothing about Nesta could frighten me.”

Cassian had been born for this—these fields, this chaos and brutality and calculation. I’d never seen anything like it—the skill and precision. It was like a dance. I must have said it aloud because Mor replied,
“For him, that’s what battle is. A symphony.”

Cassian’s own voice broke as he said, “I never got to repay your mother—for her kindness. Let me do it this way. Let me buy you time.”

The signs’ angel wings

Aries: fluorescent bright blue, small, look like shooting stars in the dark

Taurus: pale pink, easily hidden, emit a soft star-like glow

Gemini: one wing is white and one is baby blue, both with silvery tips, little but powerful

Cancer: deep crimson, blazing with beautiful fire (but they aren’t harmful!!… unless you want them to be *wink*) >

Leo: dark green with white flecks, the softest feathers

Virgo: shimmery gold wings that create magic dust, when in flight the shimmery dust floats down softly over only the sweetest people and they are given lovely dreams

Libra: dark purple and extremely delicate with soft blue patterns that look like flowers

Scorpio: jet black with small silver streaks that resemble lightning bolts

Sagittarius: very long, soft white feathers, taper at the bottom, the tips are fairy-like and translucent

Capricorn: opaque silver, look like they’ve been dipped in stardust, long wingspan

Aquarius: the colors of a stormy sky, cold to the touch, they sometimes flash like lightning when in flight (only when it’s dark)

Pisces: lavender, fluffy feathers and very small

So…it’s been a while since I drew anything for Artemis Fowl, and seeing as I’ve found out more about the characters since my last big project (*cough* butlerisnoticeablyasian*cough*), I figured I’d do an updated illustration. Closeup of Arty, for your consideration.

@ me if you’d potentially be interested in buying a print!
