Hometown Weddings | Part 2 | TOM HOLLAND X READER

Description: After Tom promises Jacob that he’ll tell the reader his feeling at the wedding if  he can get proof that she likes him back, Jacob works tirelessly on trying to get a confession out of the reader.

Word Count: 1839

Part 1| Part 3

Jacob’s eyes zeroed in on (Y/N) who was leaning against the lockers talking to Zendaya animatedly. Today they were filming on location at a high school in New York City. Right now, however they were on break between takes.

“Why are you staring at (Y/N) like you’re going to eat her?” Tom asked his friend, looking up from his script for a moment. They were sitting underneath a nearby window reviewing lines for today’s scenes.

“I’m just… thinking,” he replied looking away from his female costars.

Tom raised an eyebrow and put his script down. “About what?”

“How you’re going to tell her that you like her,” Jacob answered, smiling cheekily.

Rolling his eyes, Tom once again picked up his script and went back to reading. “You are absolutely insufferable,” he mumbled with a strong accent.

“If you would just tell me how you’re gonna do it then I would stop pestering you about it,” Jacob said.

Tom sighed. “Jacob, I already told you, I haven’t thought about it because you’re not going to come through with your end of the deal.”

✶ Tailored off shoulder crop top {Similar at F21  ✶  Similar at Etsy  ✶  Similar at ASOS main collection

✶  ASOS Denim mom shorts {also available in pale blue and in black

✶  Birkenstock Madrid sandals

✶  7X chunky round sunglasses

Boohoo circle bag from last year

How do you wear an off shoulder crop top? With denim shorts and confidence, that’s how. If you wear plus sizes, these off shoulder crop top styles can be hard to find, but I’ve got you sorted with several similar options in the widget below! I got this one tailored like I have been with most of my new clothes this summer - custom tailoring isn’t a luxury I’m always going to have at my fingertips, so I’m making the most of it while I’m in Bangalore. I’m still going the retail route for a few essentials however, like these ASOS denim shorts.

Denim shorts used to be a summer staple in my wardrobe, until my last pair got too old and battered to wear on a regular basis - and I’m so happy now to have found the mom short style on ASOS because these are the perfect denim shorts my wardrobe had been missing for way too long! I’ve been wearing these pair constantly since they arrived, and here’s what I love about them: thick, non stretch denim that I always prefer on shorts because my thighs make short work (ha ha) of all other kinds, and an inseam that doesn’t ride all the way into my crotch the moment I sit down or start walking (fellow fats, you know the thing I’m talking about.) I can actually move around and do things in this pair, and that’s a huge plus.

I’m not gonna lie, this outfit is the most skin I’ve bared to the world at large in a long time, and I wasn’t a hundred percent secure about it at first. It’s one thing to be perfectly happy with my body by myself and a very different thing to have to deal with creepy, staring men - a double whammy of fatphobia and misogyny (ugh.) But once I was at the Lal Bagh garden centre (all time favorite place) and shooting with my photographers and distracted by all the pretty plants and pretty photos, it stopped mattering whether anyone was staring or commenting or not. I was doing something I enjoy, and in a place I love and I came back home afterwards with some teeny tiny cacti and succulents. It was a good day. I wore what I wanted to and didn’t compromise, and I had fun in the end. And that’s how things should be!

What’s sweeter than a Friday mid June in California? I’ll wait. Decked out head to toe in Pacsun new releases / Pacsun denim. And not that anyone should start thinking about school yet, but back to school *shopping* is an entirely separate project that starts asap (and honestly never really stops until you graduate college). In this case, “asap” is when Pacsun drops new Back to School Denim on 7/6 (online) and in stores on 7/18. And then we go to town. Happy summer everybody!

Wearing

✶  Tailored skirt and blouse co-ord  ✶  Crossbody satchel  ✶  Clog sandals  ✶ Unique Vintage umbrella {similar, with cats}  ✶  Velvet ribbon  ✶

Today I’m wearing yet another one of my own designs! I got this co-ord tailored last month using two different types of indigo dyed fabric. I’m having a bit of a love affair with indigo dyed cloth at the moment - it’s so vibrant and unique, even though the dye will stain anything it comes in contact with (I learned that the hard way!) This is a more vintage inspired look than I’ve been going for of late, but then I find colder weather to be more conducive to retro looks like this. There’s something a bit 40s about the cut of the skirt and blouse, and with my old Unique Vintage umbrella in tow, I rather feel like singing in the rain!

Although vintage and vintage inspired fashion has forever been my jam, I’ve never been too fond of the styling that typically accompanies 40s and 50s inspired looks. Here’s my top tip for rocking mid century inspired ensembles without going all the way into pin-up territory: keep your styling simple. I’ve styled this co-ord with a minimalist crossbody satchel and equally pared down clog sandals - both timeless, classic pieces that can blend in with any era. And instead of the standard pin-up coiffure, I’ve pulled back my hair with a velvet ribbon and let my natural curls do their thing. So the overall look has a vintage air while remaining timeless and contemporary.

I’ve linked to some of my favourite plus size co-ord sets this season in the widget below. Just swipe through to see my picks!

It’s Time To Begin Isn’t It

Stiles/Derek | PG | ~6k | AO3
Content notes:
Post-canon, S6a compliant, past relationship references, relationship building

Summary: When Stiles finishes his degree at George Washington, he doesn’t hesitate when it comes to enrolling in the FBI academy in Quantico. Eager to start his career in the agency, even more to put his past behind him, he doesn’t put much thought to the memories that he might find in the area. But then he stumbles upon something that brings back something he thought he left far behind… in ways he isn’t expecting.

A/N: My apologies to the fandomwritingchallenge team for the delay in posting (and for going over the word limit). This managed to grow legs under me and turned into something bigger than I expected. And a massive thank you to Jenn for all the cheerleading when I was lost, and for the Beta read!

It’s a few weeks before he’s allowed off base. Half of his class is on the way out before Stiles even gets back to his room on the first afternoon that they get leave. His roommate, Evan, has tossed all his things on the bed, and Stiles only finds an empty room. Another classmate – Sara, from the room across the hall – asked him earlier in the day if he was driving out, and if she could tag along. But when Stiles glances towards her door, he spots her leaving. She gives him a quick wave and then he hears someone call out to her to hurry up.

Once he’s put away his notes and books, he checks his watch. He’s not meant to be calling his dad or Lydia, and Scott’s working late at Deaton’s. The cut-off for being out is midnight, but he knows he’ll have to be up at five for training again, so he wonders if it’s worth it.

He does miss driving Roscoe, though, so he heads down to the parking lot, figuring he’ll at least make sure the Jeep will start. When he got to DC four years ago, he was amazed that they made it, but somehow the tape and rust held Roscoe together. He’s even more amazed now that it’s still in driving condition after years of driving around Washington and even making summer trips back home.

When he has the engine running – after a sigh of relief that there is enough gas in the tank to get to the nearest station – Stiles decides to at least go for a short drive. He barely got to see anything but the dorms and the road to them when he arrived, as once he was there, he wasn’t allowed out for anything but classes and training.

The place is small. Smaller than Beacon Hills. Definitely smaller than Washington. It gives him comfort, somehow, knowing that he’s somewhere that seemingly peaceful, a place that he hopes is unlikely to attract the special kind of hell. Only the regular human kind, which he’s here to learn how to defeat. It’s quiet, too, even though he can see people around, some in uniforms, others in civilian clothes. He takes note of places as he drives – post office, pizza place, stores, mechanic – just so he’s a little less lost the next time. They’ll be allowed to be out for the weekend unless there’s a special training session, and Stiles plans to go explore a little more. He gets back to base early that first night.

June 5, 2017- Selena Gomez’s Outfit #6 of the day went to a sexy little date night ensemble. Selena and Abel were spotted at Rao’s Restaurant in Manhattan, NY last night and all I can say is let me wipe the drool from my mouth as I type this! Selena wore a long silk light grey slip dress with black lace detail by Mimi Wade and sadly its not available.

She’s also wearing Jimmy Choo sandals

For those unaware, Gimp is a free editing program that’s a great alternative to Photoshop for those who don’t have the money to purchase it, or for those who can’t or don’t want to download it illegally. Though it doesn’t have quite as many bells and whistles as its counterpart, it can still be used to create awesome stuff! As a Gimp user myself, I thought it might be helpful to share some of my favorite resources. Nothing here is mine, so be sure to like the original posts if you find them helpful!

Most of us, including me, aren’t really in the mood for silly fashion photos given the current rise of fascism in the US and most of the Western world. You might argue that being all the way over in India, I’m hardly affected by this past month’s events. But some of my closest friends very much are, and I’m terrified for them. The fall of American democracy unfortunately affects us all. In case you wanted to take a few minutes off, however, and indulge in some pretties, here are some photos from last week. I know that for a lot of bloggers (and brands) staying ‘on-brand’ is a priority even at times like these, but as a brown woman and a once-immigrant, I don’t see it as an option.

anonymous asked:

hello, I've seen people saying you can download brushes but how do you actually do it? Would you mind using pictures when explaining. Thank you!

Hello! I am using windows, but there isn’t much difference between Mac or Windows when it comes to FA

There are two methods of using downloaded files: Bitmap and Brush Scripts

To download bitmaps/brush scripts:

“If it is a bitmap brush, usually the brush image will be posted, you should be able to right-click (Ctrl-Click on a Mac?) on the image and from the pop-up context menu select Save Image As, or Save Picture As, to save the brush image.” ~ Obtusity

“If you are using FireAlpaca, you need to download the brush script from somewhere (such as the link in this post), if it is in a zip file you need to copy or extract the files from the zip file (you cannot load the brush directly from inside the zip file). Do NOT copy the file(s) into your brush_script folder, copy it(them) to your desktop or documents folder or downloads folder or somewhere.” ~Obtusity

*Make sure you know where you downloaded your files!!! In FA, you will have to go the folder you saved the files in to open it in FA

Bitmap: To create a bitmap brush:

Brush Script: To open a brush script on FA

((Taken from Obtusity’s post))

I hope this was helpful to you anon!!!!

I have a love-hate relationship with Pinterest. I love all the fashion, DIY and home inspiration I find there, I hate how 85% of the site is basically images of skinny, white women. When I started blogging, it was with the intention of creating fashion imagery in a similar dreamy, wistful aesthetic but as a fat, brown woman instead. For today’s look, I’ve drawn inspiration from a select set of imagery that’s had my attention on Pinterest all summer. It started with the Rennes Veritecoeur dress which I kept seeing everywhere early this summer but which was hopelessly out of my reach. Around midsummer there was this serendipitous moment where I was obsessing over black and white gingham and my tailor got in a bolt of gingham fabric which was just right, so I got my perfect flowy billowy gingham dress tailored. Although I’ve been wearing it constantly the past couple of months, I wanted to wait until I had all the components of my ultimate summer vacation outfit together before photographing it for the blog.

Next up was the hat. I’d been perfectly content with my trusty Olney boater all these years, until I realised that a flat straw hat is what I really really wanted after seeing this image of Imade Ogbewi from the Kinfolk summer issue. And this obsession was further cemented by everything from the Jacquemus Spring 17 collection. But even Jacquemus sized hats are way out of my budget, retailing at £200 on average, so I kept hunting until I found my handmade flat straw hat from Portugal for less than £25! Even though I draw a lot of fashion inspiration from Pinterest, my budget for translating that inspiration isn’t much, so I have to get creative. I switched the original ribbon the hat came with for a velvet one because hat ribbons in my wardrobe have to be velvet. And yes, someday I will have an outrageously massive wide brimmed straw hat, and I’ll handle it like a baby and also wear it for gardening, but in the meantime, working with a limited budget helps me harness my ingenuity a lot more than I would have if I could just buy everything I saw off Pinterest.

The bag needs no introduction to anyone who’s been following Summer 17 fashion trends, because these bags have been everywhere! It started with the Rachel Comey Baan bag and soon enough, traditional Indonesian Ata bags were hanging from almost every single fashion blogging shoulder on the internet. I actually had to wait and save up for my rattan Ata bag - at $75 plus shipping, it’s the most expensive thing my wardrobe has seen in a while. And it’s such a beautiful, delicate, unique piece, I’m utterly besotted with it! I so wish summer wasn’t coming to an end soon so I could keep styling this bag with every single outfit, but there’s always next summer and many more summers to come. And what August holiday outfit would be complete without a pair of Birkenstocks? Ever since I got my first pair last summer, I knew I wanted more of these unbelievably comfy sandals, which are the only things I can actually walk in thanks to my fallen arches. My pink Birkenstock Arizonas are currently sold out, but Birkenstock has a similar pair in the very reasonably priced Eva range. The Mediterranean inspired setting of Rural Blues on the outskirts of Bangalore was the perfect backdrop with just a hint of Santorini (another Pinterest favourite!) to complement the look.

So that was a glimpse into what goes on behind the scenes and in my head while putting together an outfit. A lot of the time, it’s not as easily defined since Pinterest isn’t my only source for fashion inspiration - but I do try and pin bits and pieces I see on my internet journeys so I can collect most of my inspiration in one place. Where do you find your fashion inspiration from? And how do you put outfits together? Let me know in the comments!

Last week was our third anniversary - I can’t believe it’s been three years already! Unlike last year, we were together this time (the pains of long distance relationships across borders!) so I wore something pretty to go out for dinner and drinks with my Moosh. We look some photos in Cubbon Park before the light faded and then strolled over to Social for cocktails and the arguably the best poutine in Bangalore. I felt rather festive in my burgundy velvet skirt and snowflake stockings from Tabbisocks - ‘tis the season after all! The best thing about anniversaries around Christmas is how joyous and festive everything is all around. I might post some photos from our Christmas celebrations later - we managed to dish up a full Christmas dinner with all the trimmings but forgot to get any pics of it! In the meantime, I hope y’all are having a joyous, restful and much needed winter break ♥

“Are you really going to leave without asking me the question you’ve been dying to ask me?”

It was a chilly afternoon, trills of birds from outside having died down much earlier than usual. Todd didn’t mind though as it gave him a reason to hide away in his blankets and write without the fear of someone walking in. Neil had gone to auditions anyway and he probably would’t be back till later that evening. While he did enjoy the silence that settled around him, thoughts of Neil whirled through his brain, begging to be freed onto the pages of his notebook. He loved the silence and the ability to be himself with no one to watch and judge. Though, he also wished to hear Neil’s laugh and dimpled grin, his eyes crinkling at the edges as he bounded across the room as Puck. He wished he could pull Neil close, to feel the warmth radiate off him like the ball of light he was, the feel his soft skin, the warmth of his lips and….Todd stopped himself, shutting the notebook and throwing it across the bed with enough force that it landed on the floor.

“Fuck..” he muttered softly, shrugging himself off the bed and realizing just how long he had been sitting there with the cracks of his joints. Picking up the notebook and turning to walk back to the bed, he heard the pounding of footsteps behind him and then someone calling his name
