Keaton Henson - Healah Dancing

Following the surprise release of Keaton’s first-ever collection of classical compositions, Romantic Works, which he recorded in his small flat in London, this short film for “Healah Dancing” was directed by Keaton and his long-standing collaborators Michael Nunn and William Trevitt, co-artistic directors of BalletBoyz.

The short features a powerful, highly-charged performance from BalletBoyz dancer Matthew Rees: “Healah Dancing suggested to me the heartache and frustration of losing someone you couldn’t live without,” Rees said of his performance. “I didn’t think over the role too much: I just wanted it to be raw in the moment.” The concept for the song, which is fiercely emotive, draws on the idea of someone you love slowly drifting out of your life.
