Can we take a moment to appreciate how much character development is in Will Turner’s “It depends on the one day” line?
Will Turner–who ended up hating his father so much for a while, for his staying away from him and his mother to do pirate stuff… Saying that he’ll be okay with staying away from Elizabeth for decades via his new duty (because they have no other choice, really), just as long as they can have some good days in there. And he won’t even hate himself for it–and think he’s robbing her of anything, either.
IDK. I just think there’s some really good growth there. All of these movies have good growth for Will, honestly.
Especially the first one: In the first one he went from someone who absolutely despised pirates, to being one and realizing that you can be an outlaw and still be good at heart–as TV Tropes puts it.
