A kiss that (maybe) never was

“I wish the Hound were here. The night of the battle, Sandor Clegane had come to her chambers to take her from the city, but Sansa had refused. Sometimes she lay awake at night, wondering if she’d been wise. She had his stained white cloak hidden in a cedar chest beneath her summer silks. She could not say why she’d kept it. […] She knew the secret of his burned face. It was only the fire he feared. That night, the wildfire had set the river itself ablaze, and filled the very air with green flame. Even in the castle, Sansa had been afraid. Outside… she could scarcely imagine it.” Sansa Stark.

Did the Hound ever kiss Sansa, or did she just imagine it?

Okay yes, what happened to Margaery was terrible but if you think about it, Loras had an even worse death than she did. Before his death, he was tortured in the cells of the sept and died confessing to things that he never thought were sins, calling his own lover a traitor, with a tattoo of the seven, bleeding, ashamed and afraid. But above all, he didn’t die as Loras Tyrell of Highgarden, the Knight of Flowers, he gave up all of his titles and names and died as Brother Loras. Something that he never even wanted and THAT breaks my heart.

and you know what? it’s not even that he straight up charges at daniella when she’s standing right next to her hellbeast, it’s everything leading up to that. it’s the conviction behind that action. it’s the expression on jaime’s face when he looks around him and sees his men burning to death. he hears the screams. he sees things turning to dust.

This scene did not portray anything about Daniella using her hellbeast as triumphant or ‘good’.

Little Lion and the Rose - The Wedding of King Tommen and Queen Margaery

Cersei hated the wedding and she hated to give her son to that little bitch from Highgarden.
“I know what a burden you bear. You should let me share the load. There must be some things I could do to help you, mother”, the Tyrell girl said at the feast and Cersei had to stop herself from scratching that pretty face. Take the idiots you call family and leave, she thought.

Her anger only grew, when that Lady from Myr spoke to her in private: “You’re maid is a spy for the Tyrells”, she told. Could Cersei trust her?

When night gathered, Cersei led the wedding guests outside, where the Pyromancers burned down the Tower of the Hand with Wildfire.

“The flames are so pretty. I want to watch them for a while”, she said to her brother.

THE CONSEQUENCES OF DAENERYS’ IGNORANCE (P5)

Part 1  Part 2  Part 3  Part 4  Part 6   Part 7

If I look back, I am lost. - Daenerys Targaryen

Without reflection, we go blindly on our way, creating more unintended consequences, and failing to achieve anything useful.- Margaret J. Wheatly

Warning No. 5: Think twice before using your dragons. Everything has side effects. And remember, don’t use them to melt castles and burn cities, many innocents will be in danger.

Dany’s response: Dany was tempted several times to just fly to the Red Keep and burn Cersei to crisp. Thanks to Tyrion and then Jon’s counsel, she has restrained herself. However, things might not go well once Dany learns that Cersei has cheated. Are Jon and her advisers able to keep her in check forever? Will she just act on her impulse again and fly South to punish Cersei and take the Throne with fire and blood?

Consequences

  • This is just speculation, but I think there’s a high chance Dany will abandon Jon and the North in the midst of the war against the Night King, which I have mentioned in Part 2. Of course, if she does so, she leaves the North (and the realm) open to NK’s attack and put the lives of millions people at stake. But this is not the only consequence.
  • Bran saw a ruined Throne Room covered in snow in his visions and Dany saw the same while she was in the House of Undying. So the destruction of King’s Landing is almost guaranteed. We just don’t know yet when and how.
  • Dany was informed by Tyrion that wildfire is everywhere under the ground of King’s Landing (thanks to her father’s “legacy”).  However, it is not certain whether she really takes this piece of information seriously. Although part of it has been used by Tyrion to destroy Stannis’ fleet during the Battle of Blackwater and by Cersei to blow up the Sept, how much still hidden down under the capital is a mystery. If Dany really attacks KL, the moment she shouts her favorite “Dracarys” on the back of Drogo, she would trigger a big fire that leads to the doom of the city.

If this comes true, then Dany’s declaration is just pure joke.

Do you catch the skepticism on Tyrion’s face when Dany declared so?

If you’re still doubtful that Dany will be ever Queen of the Ashes, I offer you an example.

And this horrific image is just the beginning.

The Kingslayer’ Story

King Aerys saw traitors everywhere. So His Grace commanded his alchemists to place caches of wildfire all over King’s Landing. Beneath Baelor’s Sept and the hovels of Flea Bottom, under stables and storehouses, at all seven gates, even in the cellars of the Red Keep itself.

My Sworn Brothers were all away, you see, but Aerys liked to keep me close. I was my father’s son, so he did not trust me.

“The traitors want my city”, I heard him tell Rossart the alchemist, “But I’ll give them naught but ashes. Let Robert be king over charred bones and cooked meat.”

Aerys thought the fire would transform him … that he would rise again, reborn as a dragon, and turn all his enemies to ash.

Ned Stark was racing south with Robert’s van, but my father’s forces reached the city first.

It fell to me to hold the Red Keep against my own father, but I knew we were lost.

“Bring me your father’s head, if you are no traitor.” Aerys would have no yielding. Lord Rossart was with him. I knew what that meant. King Aerys was about to burn the whole city and every living being within its walls. “Burn them all”, he screamed. Then I slew him.

I drew Cersei Lannister! She’s one of my favorite Game of Thrones characters even though she’s so evil. I really wanted to try out this color palette and have her surrounded by green wildfire. Hope you guys like it. This was fun to draw. You can also purchase this print here on my Etsy shop.
