About Touka’s choice

I think it’s important to realize that Touka didn’t just choose her baby over Yoriko’s (her best friend’s) survival.

Because, as a matter of fact she did, she tried to stop Kaneki from going, to save him too. Remember in the last chapter?

And in the new chapter…

Touka is not an idiot. They have talked about it before (ch122), so when she saw what he had hidden under his pillow, she realized that he was thinking about going to rescue Yoriko, which means that he was ready to endanger at least himself (if not some of his followers/their friends) to rescue just one person, probably all the more because this person is important to her.

That’s why she didn’t say that she saw the paper about Yoriko’s death sentence, rather telling him that she was pregnant.

Touka learnt her lesson during the Anteiku raid arc…

And she doesn’t even care about this rebellion, because living while you still can is the best she thinks she and others can do in this twisted world.

To be honest, she’s probably never going to forgive herself for what might happen to Yoriko, however in this chapter, trying to stop Kaneki when he simply can’t save everyone (and when he’s so tired) was the most important to her. So she went against her own wishes and told him about the pregnancy, even though she’s aware it might not be viable.

This chapter was sad. Even Kaneki’s wedding “proposal” is him basically apologizing and trying his best because he can’t choose. ;_;

Your myth retellings are gorgeous. Would you tell another please? Maybe something with Hermes?

Pandora is made from earth, shaped by the hands of Hephaestus and made in the image of his beloved wife. Aphrodite gifts her with grace and charisma. Athena teaches her to weave and bestows cleverness upon her.

She stands in front of Hermes, and the god frowns and touches her with a single fingertip on her chin, moving her head one way than the other. “They’ll eat you alive,” he says, and she doesn’t understand.

She tilts her head to the side and smiles a vacant smile. All of the cleverness in the world will do her no good without any context. “We are the same,” she says, pressing a hand to Hermes’s chest. She is made from earth and has the skin to mach. He is a celestial god, and his skin is the same rich shade of brown.

He did not ask to be born any more than his mother asked to bare him. His creation, just like hers, is at the whims of Zeus. All for some little lost fire, all because Prometheus wanted his people to be warm, and, well, he is the god of the thieves after all –

So he gifts her with deceit, with selfishness, with cunning. Her smile leaves her face all at once as she’s filled with self-awareness. “He’ll be angry with you,” she says, “I am not what you were supposed to make.”

“Gods have short memories,” he says, and doesn’t bother to hide the contempt in his voice. “Do not worry about me, gifted child. You have larger problems than my fate.”

He has turned her from something pure into – something more like him. Her face darkens even further as her perfectly crafted mind slots all the pieces together, and he can’t help but find her lovely. It’s how she was made, after all. “I can’t stop it, can I? Whatever they’re planning for me to do?”

“No,” Hermes says, “but now you might be able to survive it.”

“Will I want to?” she asks, and he doesn’t answer. She doesn’t expect him too.

~

She hides from everyone, lives in a cave at the edge of the city. The gods had called her the first woman, but that’s not true, she can see.

There are women. They smile and laugh have work roughened hands. She aches to join them, but she has the beauty of a goddess. They will know. If she joins them, they will know she is not of them, and it will set into motion whatever trap Zeus has planned.

She is not human, not in the same way, molded from clay by a god’s hands. But she is of humans, and not eager to bestow upon them the harm she’s destined to bring them. She bathes in streams where only nymphs reside, steals into the city in the cloak of night and pilfers from the baker’s trash.

“When they said they sent my brother a wife,” a low, amused voice says too close behind her one night, “I had not expected a begger.”

She whirls around, hard bread clenched tight in front of her, an incredibly inefficient shield. Her breath catches in her throat when she sees him, dark and tall and eyes like the night sky. He looks like Hermes. Like her. “Who are you?” she demands. They’re in an alley corner, and of her gifts flight is not among them. She’ll have to fight him to get away.

She’s not afraid of him. Maybe another mortal would be, cornered in the middle of the night by a man she doesn’t know. But she’s no normal mortal woman, and besides – he has something comforting about him, like the hearthfire attended by Hestia. Something warm.

“I am Prometheus,” says the man, and no wonder he reminds her of fire. “What do they call you?”

“You are meant to be in the deepest pits of Hades’s realm,” she snaps, and shifts her grip on the stale bread so that she can throw it at him. He’s the whole reason she’s here to begin with, him and his thievery.

He shrugs and walks closer to her, watching her like one would watch a wild animal. Good. Here, in this dark alley where no one would find a cooling body until morning, it is he that should be afraid. “Gods forget,” he says, “and Hades had grown cold in his place beneath the earth.”

She pauses, considers. “You stole fire for Hades?”

“No,” he corrects, “I stole fire for the people. But Hades benefited as well. Enough that he was willing to forget the terms of my punishment.”

“What do you want?” she asks for the second time. “Why are you here?”

He stops, too close to her, “The question is why are you here?”

She steps into his space now, following him as he backs away from her, “I am here because of you, fire-stealer, because gods may forget but they do not forgive, and I am the punishment they have unleashed upon the world.”

“What a punishment you are,” he says, looking at her lips, and she forgets to hate him only long enough to kiss him.

~

Hermes watches her, watches them. He doesn’t know Zeus’s plan, if this is part of it or not, but he watches her, and he worries. He thinks it is, he can see Aphrodite’s magic clinging to Pandora, but he doesn’t know why.

He would go to his mother, but she’s always difficult to find, Gaea preferring to live in streams and rivers rather than face the man she bore a son for. But his mother’s father, on the other hand, is always in the same place.

“Grandfather,” Hermes greets, touching lightly down onto the earth, “How are you?”

“How am I always, boy?” Atlas grunts out, legs and arms straining as he holds up the sky above the earth. “Tired.”

Hermes lips quirk up the corners. Some days, he thinks he’s more Atlas’s grandson than he’s Zeus’s son. “I need some advice, Grandfather.”

Atlas raises an eyebrow, “I’m listening.”

So Hermes tells him everything, from beginning to end, because he can’t figure out what his father’s plan is, but Atlas might. He’s known the man for longer, at least.

Atlas nods, slow, and says, “A bride of gods, a gifted child. I can think of only one reason to create such a child.” Hermes waits. Atlas sighs and says, “There is a jar, within Olympus, that becomes sealed when it leaves the realm of the gods. After that, only a being neither mortal nor celestial may open it.”

“What are they planning to put inside?” Hermes demands, heart spiking. What are they planning to unleash upon the unsuspecting earth?

His grandfather smirks, “It doesn’t matter. What matters is this – what are you going to put inside?”

“i just want to know why,” she says without looking into his eyes because she knows if she lifts her head and looks into his beautiful brown eyes, she’ll forgive him no matter what he says.
“can you please just tell me why you decided it wasn’t worth fighting for, why we weren’t worth fighting for?” she asks him, yet all he does is remain silent.
‘JUST SAY SOMETHING! TELL ME YOU DON’T LOVE ME ANYMORE, OR THAT YOU’RE TIRED OF ME, JUST SAY SOMETHING!’ she wants to scream at him, but instead, she picks herself up and walks away because sometimes, fighting for something, no matter how hard you fight, isn’t worth it when the other person doesn’t put in any effort.

Summary: After regaining some of your memories, you and Jungkook finally face the truth.

When Jieun came home, she found you sitting on the floor. Your eyes were red, but your tears had dried long ago. Jieun regarded your blank expression with concern, immediately dropping to the ground to check on you.

“Y/N, what’s wrong?” Jieun asked frantically, looking at your body for injuries. “Did you hurt your leg again? Why are you crying?”

You sighed and closed your eyes, feeling more tired than upset. Jieun’s flittering hands stilled, as if she sensed that something was off.

“Y/N?”

“I remember now, Jieun,” you said. “I remember what happen that night, and what happened after. I know that you and Jungkook were a thing, and that he rejected me right away.”

“I’m sorry I didn’t tell you sooner,” Jieun whispered, her own eyes watering. “I didn’t want to upset you or confuse you. It hurt you so much the first time, I didn’t want to see you go through it again.”

“I just don’t understand,” you replied, your voice strained with frustration. “Did you like him? Do you still like him? Is that why you tried to hide your relationship with him from me?”

“What? No! No, of course not,” Jieun exclaimed, her eyes widening with surprise. “I mean, I did have a bit of a crush on him, but our relationship was just physical. It ended as soon as you two figured out that you’re…you know, soulmates.”

“But I’m still confused,” you said, trying to hold off another wave of tears. “Jungkook said he wanted nothing to do me. But now he’s so sweet. He’s like two different people, and I don’t know which one is the real him.”

“Just talk to him,” Jieun smiled, rubbing your back gently. “He’s not as bad as you remember. I’m sure the person Jungkook is with you now is the person he wishes he was when you first met.”

“Still, why was he so cruel in the beginning?” you asked helplessly. “I don’t know if I can forgive that.”

“Only Jungkook can answer that,” Jieun replied softly. “Promise me you’ll talk to him, okay?”

You nodded, realizing that Jieun knew much more than she let on. She helped you to your feet and led you back to the couch. You decided you wouldn’t press her for more information, because in the end, you would need to talk to Jungkook eventually.

Even though you had decided to talk to Jungkook, you hadn’t been able to muster enough courage to confront him. He had no idea that you had regained your memories, so he was contacting you like usual. But when you picked up your phone to reply, the events of your first encounter flashed before your eyes. Every time that happened, you put your phone down and tried to ignore your heavy heart.

So, to put it simply, you had been ignoring Jungkook for the past week.

You had several unread messages in your inbox from Jungkook. Surely Jungkook was so popular, he wasn’t used to be ignored. The texts started coming less frequently, and you wondered if they would eventually stop all together. You figured–albeit guiltily–that if Jungkook really wanted company, he could find another girl.

One Thursday afternoon, you were reading through some notes sent to you by a classmate when you heard Jungkook’s thoughts whispering in the back of your head. You jumped, growing unaccustomed to your soulmate’s presence after such a long period of silence.

“Why isn’t she talking to me?” Jungkook thought, and although it was quiet in your mind, you could hear the worry in your voice. Your heart panged, and you felt bad for assuming the worst of Jungkook. Clearly, he was still thinking of you. “Did I do something wrong again?”

Again.

No, not again. The first mistake was hurtful enough. But of course, Jungkook had no idea that you remembered what he had done. You wanted to scream at him–make him hurt as much as he had hurt you. But you also just wanted to see him again, because you had grown to love the caring side of Jungkook that he had shown you.

“Maybe her condition got worse,” came Jungkook’s next thought, which sounded even more alarmed than the last. “I should stop by. Yeah–I’ll go after class.”

You jumped to your feet, wavering as you tried to catch your balance. Reaching out for your crutches, you hobbled out of your room and into the living room, where Jieun was playing guitar.

“Jieun!” you screeched, making her jump.

“Oh my god!” Jieun squealed, placing a hand over her heart dramatically. “Why are you screaming at me?”

“Jungkook’s coming here after his class is over,” you hurried to explain, your words overlapping in your haste. Still, Jieun understood what you were trying to say.

“Oh, so do you need me to leave?” Jieun asked, setting aside her guitar. “I can disappear for an hour or two.”

“No, no! Definitely do not leave,” you squeaked desperately. “I’m not ready to see him! I need you to cover for me. Tell him that I’m not home and that I forgot my phone here.”

“What? Y/N, are you avoiding him?” Jieun demanded, her face growing dark. “You promised me that you would talk to him! Ignoring your problems won’t make them go away.”

“I know, I know!” you replied. “And I will talk to him, but I’m just not ready yet. I need time to process everything so that I can face him properly. I don’t want to get upset and ruin things forever.”

Jieun’s face softened at your obvious fear, and she sighed. “I understand why you’re scared, but you should trust Jungkook a little bit too,” she argued. “He’s shown you that he’s a good guy, right? I get why you’re so hesitant, believe me. But I’m also seeing this from Jungkook’s perspective, too.”

“You’re my friend, be on my side!” you whined. Jieun rolled her eyes at you.

“Okay, don’t do that. I’m doing what’s best for you,” Jieun said. “Even though you don’t want to talk to him now, in the long run, you’ll be thanking me for making you two work out your problems.”

“I’ll thank you even more if you cover for me this one time,” you said, on the borderline of begging. “I swear I’ll talk to him after, Jieun! I just need a little more time. I’m really not ready to see Jungkook.”

“Fine,” Jieun sighed, falling back onto the couch in frustration. “I’ll cover for you this one time. You can go hide in your room or whatever.”

“Thank you so much, Jieun!” you cried. “I love you so much! You’re the best.”

“I know,” Jieun laughed. “And I’m assuming you ignored all of Jungkook’s attempts to contact you up until now?”

You looked away guiltily.

When Jungkook knocked on the door, you were hiding in your room. Your bedroom door was left slightly ajar, so if you peeked through, you could see the foyer. Jieun approached it, glaring at you as she did. You sent her a thankful smile.

Jieun opened the door, but you couldn’t see Jungkook.

“Oh, Jieun,” Jungkook said. You missed the sound of his sweet voice–you could admit that. “Is Y/N around? I haven’t heard from her since I saw her last week.”

“No, she’s not around,” Jieun replied easily. “Y/N had to spend the week with her grandparents, because they got really worried when they heard about the accident. And she was dumb enough to leave her phone at home.”

“Oh,” Jungkook said, sounding surprised. It sounded like a valid excuse, and you were a little shocked that Jieun was so good at lying. “I’m surprised she didn’t tell me earlier.”

“It’s because she didn’t know that she would be leaving until her grandparents showed up,” Jieun answered. She continued a bit sheepishly, “Actually, I was supposed to tell you that she would be out of town. I guess I forgot.”

“Yeah, guess you did,” Jungkook replied dryly. Jieun just shrugged and sent him a carefree smile. “When will she be back?”

“Sometime next week,” Jieun said. You gulped, realizing that she was giving you a deadline.

“Alright,” Jungkook said slowly. He sounded like he was getting ready to leave. “Thanks, I guess.”

Jieun began to close the door slowly. You exhaled in relief, feeling your body deflate. I can’t believe that worked, you thought. Jieun should have been an actress.

“What the fuck?” Jungkook’s voice suddenly thundered. Jieun jumped, backing away from the door. Jungkook burst through the foyer. “Why are you lying to me?”

“W-what are you talking about?” Jieun stammered.

“Y/N, where are you?” Jungkook called out, ignoring Jieun completely. “I know you’re here. I can hear you thinking right now.”

Oh shit.

“Yeah, oh shit is right,” Jungkook snorted. He scanned the apartment, finally settling on your bedroom door. He saw your face peeking through, and he smiled slightly and began to approach you.

Accepting your fate, you pulled yourself to your feet and opened the door, clutching the doorframe for support.

“Why are you avoiding me?” Jungkook asked once he stood in front of you, the hurt clear in his downtrodden expression. “Did I do something to upset you?”

“Yeah, you did,” you replied tiredly.

“What was it?” Jungkook questioned, confused. “I’m sorry, I didn’t mean to hurt you, if I did. I thought you had a good time with me last week.”

“I did,” you smiled. “You’ve been really great since the hospital. You helped me a lot, and you’re fun to be around.”

“Then what’s the problem?” Jungkook asked, cocking his head adorably in confusion.

“It’s what happened before then,” you said simply.

Jungkook paled, his mouth opening slightly. His eyes lowered, and you could see his jaw clenching. He stood there quietly for a few moments, but eventually, he tentatively lifted his gaze to meet yours.

“You remember everything,” Jungkook said quietly. It wasn’t a question. He was biting his lip nervously, and you wondered why he was the nervous one when it was you who had been deceived all along.

“Not everything, but I remember enough,” you responded. You broke your eye contact with Jungkook, feeling overwhelmed. “I don’t understand you at all, Jungkook. Why are being so nice now?”

“It’s…it’s a really long story,” Jungkook sighed, rubbing the back of his neck. “I can’t justify what I did, but if it means anything to you, I regret everything that happened that night. I didn’t mean a word I said.”

“Then why did you say what you did?”

“Like I said, it’s a long story,” Jungkook replied. “I can explain it to you if you’re willing to listen. I’ll tell you everything, I promise. And if you don’t want to see me after this, I won’t bother you ever again.”

“How do I know that what you’re saying is the truth?” you asked, looking at Jungkook for any signs of deceit.

“You’ll just have to trust me.”

You almost laughed–how could you trust him so easily again? But you remembered the boy who  had slept by your bedside in the hospital, and the boy who acted like you were the most interesting thing in the world. The boy who had promised to sing to you.

“Fine, I’ll listen,” you breathed.

Why I can forgive Saeran/Ray and NOT RIKA

In the near future I want to write something more in depth about this, but for now I need to just blow off some steam.

Saeran has done some fucked up shit. Let’s be real.

But fucking Rika.

Took a child. Someone under the age of 18. Who was already abused. And locked him the fuck up.

And drugged him

And conditioned him into someone she wanted him to be.

Someone who would have no worth without her

Someone who she made to rely on her. For literally everything.

Made a cult.

Drugged others. and did the same.

Completely fucking aware.

Embracing her ‘Devil’, knowing damn well what she was doing.

She was aware. She is fully fucking lucid. She remembers every fucking thing that has happened through her life, through the game. Everything. She knows.

She made herself pawns. To use in a fucking sick and twisted game. She abused so many people. She literally tortured them. She literally runs a goddamn cult. Her actions are in line of people like Charles Manson and Jim Jones. Who were also obviously mentally ill. That does not excuse their fucking actions.

I hate Rika. She needs a lot of help. More help than V could give. More help than any one person could give. And I am aware of this and agree wholeheartedly. But that does not mean I need to excuse her or forgive her actions.

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I don’t know what this is, it’s not going anywhere. It was just a thought I had after last night and that delightful little tidbit about Julius. This is entirely predictable, sorry.

It’s not until the third time that Grog goes to the brothel in Whitestone that the Madam who runs the house pulls him aside as he’s leaving.

“I paid up, I know I did,” Grog says immediately. “She counted it out for me and everything.”

The Madam - gray hair but not old enough for it to be anything but just the way most of the adult Whitestone residents are - laughs at him. “You’re fine, lad. You treat my girls right and you pay well. I’m not turning you away. I just had a question for you.”

Questions “She obviously doesn’t like your dumbass questions”

anonymous asked:

i really love that post you made about what katara would gain from being with zuko instead of a/ang. i was wondering if you could do one about what zuko would gain from being with katara instead of m@i and do it in a similar structure, directly constrasting between the two relationships?

What Zuko would gain from Zutara

Zuko would gain a partner he can confide in:

Katara: Are you okay?
Zuko: No, I’m not okay. My Uncle hates me, I know it. He loved me and supported me in every way he could and I still turned against him. How can I even face him?
Katara: Zuko, you’re sorry for what you did, right?
Zuko: More sorry than I’ve been about anything in my entire life.
Katara: Then he’ll forgive you. He will.

Rather than someone who shuts him out.

Zuko: I’ve got a lot on my mind. It’s been so long. Over three years since I was home. I wonder what’s changed. I wonder how I’ve changed.
Mαi: (yawns) I just asked if you were cold. I didn’t ask for your whole life story.

Someone who tries to heal his pain:

Zuko: I used to think this scar marked me. The mark of the banished prince, cursed to chase the Avatar forever. But lately, I’ve realized I’m free to determine my own destiny, even if I’ll never be free of my mark.

Katara: Maybe you could be free of it.

Instead of someone who avoids it.

Mαi: Zuko, it’s just a dumb meeting. Who cares?

Zuko: I don’t.
Mai: Well good. You shouldn’t. Why would you even want to go? Just think about how things went to the last war meeting you went to.

Someone who has faith in his judgment:

Katara: What are you doing? She’s playing you. She knows she can’t take us both so she is trying to separate us.

Zuko: I know. But I can take her this time.
Katara: But even you admitted to your Uncle that you would need help facing Azula.
Zuko: There’s something off about her, I can’t explain it but she’s slipping. And this way, no one else has to get hurt.
Katara: [nods]

Rather than someone who distrusts him at the first opportunity.

Someone who shares his friends:

Katara: Get over here, Zuko! Being part of the group means being part of group hugs.

Instead of bashing them behind their backs for no reason.

Someone who gets her hands dirty:

Toph: You guys need some help?

Katara: Toph, help me plug up this drain!

Rather than someone who refuses to.

Mαi: Ughh, disgusting!

Ty Lee: Come on, you heard Azula. We have to follow them.
Mai: She can shoot all the lightning she wants at me, I am not going in that wall sludge juice.

Someone who puts her feelings aside for the greater good:

Aang: Katara?

Katara: I’ll go along with whatever you think is right.

Rather than putting the greater good aside for her feelings.

Someone who would be an amazing mom:

Instead of a terrible one.

Someone who makes imprisonment better:

Instead of worse.

Someone with strong convictions:

Katara: Earthbenders! You don’t know me, but I know of you. Every child of my water tribe village was rocked to sleep with stories of the brave Earth Kingdom and the courageous earthbenders who guard its borders.  Some of you may think that the Fire Nation has made you powerless. Yes, they have taken away your ability to bend, but they can’t take away your courage and it is your courage they should truly fear! Because it runs deeper than any mine you’ve been forced to dig, any ocean that keeps you far from home. It is the strength of your hearts that make you who you are, hearts that will remain unbroken when all rock and stone has eroded away. The time to fight back is now! I can tell you the Avatar has returned! So remember your courage, earthbenders, let us fight for our freedom!

As opposed to none.

Mαi: I don’t believe in auras.
Zuko: Yeah, you don’t believe in anything.
Mαi: Oh, well, I’m sorry I can’t be as high-strung and crazy as the rest of you.

Someone who helps Zuko’s family:

Zuko: Get away from us!
Katara: Zuko, I can help!

Instead of endangering them.

Someone who flings ice daggers at the guy who betrayed her …

… Instead of the guy she is dating.

Someone who stands up for the powerless:

Katara: No. I will never, ever, ever turn my back on people who need me!

As opposed to abusing them.

Mαi: You know what will make you feel better? Ordering some servants around! I might be hungry for a whole tray of fruit tarts! And maybe a little palanquin ride around town… Double time!

Someone who apologizes for her mistakes:

Katara: I’m sorry I yelled at you before.
Zuko: It doesn’t matter.
Katara: It’s just that for so long now, whenever I would imagine the face of the enemy, it was your face.
Zuko: My face. I see.
Katara: No, no, that’s not what I meant.

Rather than turning her mistakes back on him.

And who gives everything she has to a relationship …

… instead of only taking.

He would gain someone who has his back:

Rather than someone who stabs it.

Especially when he’s done everything he can for her.

Most of all, he would gain a partner who appreciates his efforts:

Katara: But I am ready to forgive you.

Katara: I think I’m the one who should be thanking you.

Rather than someone who never appreciates anything about him, ever.

Mαi: Orange is such an awful color.

Mαi: Why would I want that?

Mαi: Thanks. This is really … refreshing.

And who doesn’t have to threaten him to stay with her.

Mαi: But don’t ever break up with me again.

I’m sorry… but I will never understand how Zutara is deemed unhealthy, dark, and abusive. I refuse to believe that relationship would’ve been anything other than wholly understanding and loving - and I’ll show you why… with pictures.

At the end of season two and the beginning of season three, we see Zuko struggling with his view of right and wrong. He’s betrayed his uncle, he’s going home, he’s struggling with a whirlwind of emotion and when given the opportunity to open up, by a girl who’s known him his entire life, he readily takes it.

Mai: Aren’t you cold?
Zuko: I’ve got a lot of my mind. It’s been so long… over three years since I was home. I wonder what’s changed. I wonder how I’ve changed.

In any functioning, healthy relationship, you would expect this flood of feelings and thoughts to met with sympathy or input or at the very least… a hand on the shoulder and a comforting hug. Instead, Zuko is basically told to shut up, to put up, to push the feelings away because they aren’t important enough to be bothered with.

Now, you might come at me and say well, Mai really didn’t ask. She just wanted to know if he was cold and that’s fine. I give you this:

Under Ba Sing Se, Zuko interacts with Katara in a calm environment. This is the first time they are together and not fighting and they have a chance to talk. Katara, obviously, takes the opportunity to rant and rage about how terrible Zuko is and he quietly sits there and takes it. He only protests, peacefully stating that she knows nothing about him, when she’s finished her wild stream of thoughts, to which Katara responds as such:

Katara: I don’t? How dare you! You have no idea what this war has put me through. Me personally! The Fire Nation took my mother away from me.
Zuko, sympathetically: I’m sorry. That’s something we have in common.

Now, Zuko could’ve simply said I’m sorry. He could’ve stopped there. But he slips and lets a bit of information about his past hang in the air. In turn, this angry, hurt waterbender - who is raw and emotional after opening up to the enemy - could’ve easily told him to shut up. She would have every right to. He’s hurt her. He’s scared her and chased her all over the world.

But she doesn’t. She’s known him for five minutes, but she quickly turns around and let’s Zuko open up about his life, his scar, the things that bother him. And then she offers to fix one of the things that weighs him down!!!

And these are quiet, peaceful moments between these pairs. There’s no fighting or drama. If you really want to see how these relationships function, let’s look at periods when both parties are upset with the other.

For example, let’s assess two intense interactions between Mai and Zuko in the Boiling Rock and then, Katara and Zuko in the Southern Raiders.

In the Boiling Rock, Mai is angry with Zuko for leaving the Fire Nation, essentially dumping her in the process, and only explaining his motivations and plans through a letter. Now, I get why she says she deserved a face-to-face conversation, but why does she think she deserves one? She shut him down when he last expressed his conflicting decisions, so why does she think he would even feel comfortable explaining his choice to commit treason?

And look at his body language - they’re together again and there is a chance for her to let him express himself in the way she wants, but she’s belittled him. He’s made to feel small and worthless by someone he thought he could trust (hmmm sound familiar *cough* Ozai *cough*). Then that’s it. She decides whatever he’s said is enough and she’s through and she throws the letter at him, promptly storming out.

Then we have the Southern Raiders… Katara feeling the bitter sting of Zuko’s betrayal in Ba Sing Se is given a chance to get an explanation from him.

First of all, Zuko seeks her out. It’s obvious she’s pissed, but they are facing each other, having an eye-level conversation, and Zuko’s expression holds remorse and an earnest drive to fix the problem. Even in the intense, heated moment, Katara shows him a certain amount of respect. She takes him head on. She doesn’t belittle or negate him. She gives valid reasons why she’s upset and he listens and tries to fix it.

In a way, he does fix it - the best he can. Katara is heartbroken (much more than Mai is) and she let’s him take her on this journey with an unknown ending and trusts him with her decision - whatever it is. He doesn’t pressure her, he doesn’t push his thoughts or feelings on her. He let’s her be… until Katara decides she’s through and she forgives him. SHE FORGIVES HIM. She forgives the face of the enemy, the son of the man that terrorized her home, the countryman of the person who killed her mother. She forgives him and it’s like this fucking weight lifts off both of them.

Sure… you can come at me and say Oh, well Mai saved Zuko at the Boiling Rock… Okay fine, I’ll give you that.  It didn’t change anything between them. She came right back at the end of the series and threatened him again. Is she still so incapable of understanding his motivations? Can she not see what his decision brought about? Look around you, Mai! Zuko sacrificed everything and, in turn, saved the world. He wasn’t purposefully being hurtful and vindictive. He wasn’t trying to disappoint you. He was trying to bring about a better future and he fucking succeeded.

And I just want to post that image side-by-side with the image of Katara kneeling over him post-lightning scene. Katara watches Zuko - the future Fire Lord, the world’s last chance for a decent ruler in the Fire Nation - throw his life by the way side in favor of hers. He literally tossed aside everything they’d worked for and hoped for - he almost gave it all up to save her life.

Mai - who’s relationship was sacrificed for the greater good - threatens Zuko. Katara - who’s last year has been spent training and building up to this final battle - doesn’t. She understands him. She gets him. She’s grateful for him.

From their very first, real interaction, Katara gets Zuko. She takes the time to learn about him and he takes the time to learn about her. It’s healthy. It’s conducive. And even if you don’t think it’s romantic, it’s certainly some next level friend shit.

If anything, it’s the first relationship shown here that’s unhealthy.

One very important thing that I think about often is the bit in the First Branch of the Mabinogion when Pwyll, the cool prince who has two Welsh vowels in his name, thank you very much, sees this fantastically beautiful woman on a really cool horse, and he says to himself “well, I guess the only logical thing to do would be to get on my own dang horse and chase her,” and he gets some of his buddies together (but just the ones in Pony Club, because the horses are important) and he says to them “right, we’re just going to chase this woman for a bit, is that OK?” and his pals are like “I mean, can you quantify ‘a bit’?” and Pwyll just shrugs and says “until I catch her, I guess,” and then his friends all look at each other and say “yep, that seems like a solid plan, count us in,” and they all get on their horses and they start to chase her and

they keep chasing her without a break

for three days

and every time it looks like they’re catching up with her, time does this weird skippy thing like when you play a bad CD (a scratched CD, I mean, not just Kelly Rowland’s disappointing solo efforts) and they’re suddenly miles behind her again, almost like it’s magic, or possibly a very niche science trick that the men just don’t have the capacity to comprehend in a world without flushing toilets. Gradually, Pwyll’s men just bow out, some gracefully and some probably weeping about piles and missing dinner, and then Pwyll is alone in his pursuit. Exhausted, starving and probably desperate to use one of the aforementioned non-flushing toilets, Pwyll just cries out “I don’t understand! When I saw this woman riding ahead of me, I only had one option, and that was to chase her desperately like the protagonists of La La Land chased a false Hollywood ideal. There’s literally nothing else I can do, but I can’t carry on, and it’s not working,” and then suddenly this idea comes to him and he calls out to the woman “hey, can you stop!”

and she immediately stops

and he catches up to her

and she’s like “fucking hell, I’ve been waiting for you to ask me to stop for three days, I’m absolutely knackered. Also I’m conveniently madly in love with you,” and Pwyll is like “if you’re in love with me, then why didn’t you stop? I just ran about eight triathlons, and by ‘I’ I mean ‘my horse’, who will likely never forgive me,” and the woman (Rhiannon) just shrugs and says “well, you didn’t ask me to stop.”

And either it shows something about the perils of pursuing a goal relentlessly without taking a moment to consider your approach, or it’s a commentary on male expectations of women, or on hubris, but ultimately it’s just really fucking funny.
Some thoughts on Phasma, redemption and the Rey and Kylo connection

I’ve just finished reading Phasma, and I very much enjoyed it. There’s a long lull in the middle where a flashback drags on for far too long and Phasma is easily the least interesting character in the book (newsflash! Phasma is a pitiless badass with no scruples! Who knew!?), but despite those deficiencies it’s an interesting story with some pretty great original characters.

In this piece, I’m going to be focusing on the dynamic between the characters of Cardinal, a high-ranking First Order captain, and Vi Moradi, a Resistance spy. In particular, I’m going to consider its potential implications in relation to the pressing questions of Kylo Ren’s redemption and the connection between Rey and Kylo going forward.

The premise of the book is that Cardinal takes Vi captive and interrogates her for information on Phasma’s background, but to say more than that is to venture into spoiler territory. In other words, dive beneath the cut if you want to read on!

anonymous asked:

I like Mary. I think she's awesome. I don't see why she has to be evil.

Oh, boy, okay.

Listen you can like Mary all you want – I loved her too before the fucked up her entire story arc – but her entire arc was building up to be a villain, and a badass one that was going to go down with a fight.

I’m REALLY not trying to be pedantic here, Nonny, but asks like this force me to pull out receipts, all of which I’m sure you’re not going to read, because who likes to be proved wrong, but I digress. I always end up sounding more harsh than I am when all I want to do is educate you on my perspective and what the narrative is teaching us.

THAT’S Why she’s a villain. When a character kills the title character of a show, they are coded as the bad guy unless they do a redemption arc that actually is a redemption.

Mary had NO redemption arc AT ALL. Even in S4, Mary is STILL manipulating and emotionally abusing Sherlock and John against each other with her fucking creepy-assed DVDs and her belittling of John in T6T. She still runs off to go do her little assassin things and still lied and manipulated everyone. And I know the argument is going to come up, but Mary’s gunshot was NOT a redemption. A redemption arc has the ex-villain doing a good deed and being genuinely sorry for their past actions. Not ONCE Mary has ever apologized for any of the shit she put everyone through. All of it was a plan, especially if she had creepy DVDs made FAIRLY RECENTLY (you can tell because of the hair style) to send out to people. Also:

YOU ARE EVIL IF YOU ACTIVELY OR POSTHUMOUSLY TELL SOMEONE TO GO KILL THEMSELVES.

That and Mary’s entire death scene was RIDICULOUS and completely contradicted EVERY rule that was established in this universe only 2 episodes prior on how characters die.

Nonny, Mary’s character arc is one I have been passionate about for many years, even before I was a Johnlocker, because her character was fascinating to me, and helped me understand the psychology and make sense of events that were happening in my life at the time. Right up until TAB, Mary was being coded as the next Moriarty. For some reason or another, Mofftiss decided to turn her into an “assassin with an heart of gold” and failed spectacularly.

If Mary truly was good, she WOULD HAVE TOLD JOHN FROM THE BEGINNING WHO SHE WAS, OR AT LEAST TOLD SHERLOCK SHE NEEDED HELP. HLV would have not played out as it did. Instead deciding that killing Sherlock was her only option so that she could continue to manipulate John, since she knew he was most malleable when he was grieving Sherlock.

You can read Mary’s character however you want, I could care less… well okay apparently I do because of this reply… But please, seriously consider that what became of her character really made no goddamned sense to the narrative arc the built for her and quite frankly really lazy writing. Just because she is a woman, doesn’t mean that she is nice and sweet and not abusive. Excusing her of her brand of emotional abuse and manipulation is really sexist.

People thought my mother was a nice person, too.

And something else I think is relevant in how these characters are built is that both Sam and Dean get better - by narrative necessity, sure, but also because that’s what humans do - whatever happened to you, it comes a point where you let go or heal, there’s no other way of doing life - which means that we’ve seen both Sam and Dean being beaten down and depressed and broken and completely fucking guilty over a number of things, but that normally lasts - a few episodes, or a season or something, and then - they move the fuck on. They go back to their lives - they hunt stuff, they watch TV, they sometimes drive two states over to mooch a dinner off Jody, and whatever happened to them, whoever’s died, however they fucked up, sooner or later they manage to stop crying and punching walls about it, because that’s how it is when you need to look after a functioning body, right - sooner or later, you need to start feeding it and washing it, and so they clean things and change their sheets and put their shirts in the washing machine or straight into the bin because, man, werewolf blood is the worst, and finally - finally - they start laughing at skateboarding dogs and smiling at babies in diners and slowly, oh so slowly, they become themselves again. Or a new version of themselves, that is. And it would be miraculous, really, except it’s not - it’s simply humanity at its best, the way we’ve seen them come back from everything - from John dying for Dean, from car accidents and vampires feeding on them, from a demon blood addiction, from torture and dooming the world and saving the world and the death of mostly every friend they ever had. Because they’re human, and we do that. We have to (we were designed that way).

But Cas - Cas is not human. So, you know, as heartbroken and irritated as I am to see him waste away season after season, locked in his own guilt and regret and lack of purpose, shock turning into depression and apathy and then I needed to come back with a win - for you, well - it actually makes sense? Angels, like the gods of old, were never meant to heal (to learn; to pick themselves up and try again). They are mostly fighting bots, mission in, mission over, repeat, and when Cas chose to leave all of that behind, well - that’s the risk he took. That he wouldn’t be able to ever let go of his mistakes, to move beyond his pain, to accept that scars of any kind are just part of life. And you see this all the time in the ancient world - immortal creatures going insane over despair and misery, because they never had to deal with them before and whatever they feel, it’s absolute and eternaland there’s no escape from it. So what I’m conflicted about now is that I always assumed Cas needed to get better - that if he ever chose to become human, he should do so from a position of power, because he wants to and not because it’s his last damn option, but I’m suddenly wondering - can he get better? Gabriel wallowed in his anger and bitterness and sadness for millennia (as did Lucifer), and Hannah couldn’t bear her vessel’s loneliness - the weight of a woman’s lost love - it hurt so much she had to walk away. But we’ve always been told that Cas is special, that he’s different, and maybe that’s why - because that human heart beating inside him is fully his, always was, and one day he’ll choose to give in to it - not to cut himself off his Grace, that is, but to love like we do - unconditionally, perhaps, but also in fits and starts, because we’re mortal and choke-full of hormones and weirdness and a bunch of organs doing their own thing and that’s all we can manage - an imperfect, relentless affection - the kind of forgiveness that should always, always start or end with yourself.

The curse that didn’t break.

I was sharing some thoughts with Shady about what I have been feeling about Emma Swan being still cursed, because she posted something resembled and her views are very much like what I had been thinking, coming to the conclusion that Emma hasn’t broken out of the Dark curse. That explains why she’s selfish. I can’t be convinced otherwise.

If we go back last seasons and check her character we can see her last selfless deed was when she sacrificed for Regina.

Ever after that event Emma hasn’t done anything that wasn’t for her and Hook. All her actions still have the tint of something a Dark One would do to assure their own happy ending at the cost of others (Hook included).

Can’t Help Falling in Love with You Series

Relationship: Tom Holland x Reader

Summary: Tom has to read a script and Tessa keeps trying for him to play with her.

Warnings: Swearing cause I swear IRL and so does Tom so :,)

Word Count: 1,200

A/N: Currently typing this with a killer migraine. I have a IIH so it’s hard for me to type sometimes but I really feel dedicated for posting stuff for you all.

[Reader’s POV]

“Babe can you come grab Tess? she keeps knocking my script out of my hands and her actions finally tore a page out.” Tom whines from the living room.

“Tom you’re sounding an awful like your child..” I say moving the kettle to start the tea.

“Just because Jaxon said  she ate his homework to a teacher does not mean the same thins as what I’m saying love” he defends groaning loudly. Rolling your eyes you place your hand on your hip. Walking to the living room only to see Tom trying to tape his scrip back together. My eyes widening, he really was serious.

“Tess, babe why’d you do that to Daddy’s script?” I ask leaning over picking up a piece of paper that was stuck to her paw. Handing it to Tom I turn back to her. Her tail wags as she looks up at you. You were the good cop and Tom now the bad cop since the two of you got married.

“Tessa Holland, outside now” I say pointing to the sliding door to your back yard. Hopefully she could get whatever out of her system by running around outside. Opening the door you watch her walk out with her tail in between her legs.

“So do you believe me now?” Tom asks holding up his scrip that now had serious tape lines in it.

“I believed a portion of it but I didn’t believe it when Jaxon said she ate his homework…” you laugh kissing your husbands head.

“She’s been acting up lately, she isn’t like this..” Tom sighs running his fingers through his hair. Ruffling Tom’s curls you head back in to the kitchen. Grabbing both of your mugs. You were too tired to get up on a stool to get the tea cups when you would have to put them back later.

“Darling, can you steep mine a while longer please?” he asks you from his seated position. His eyes focused as he mutters his lines to himself.

“Yes love, don’t leave her outside for two long or she’ll smell.. something is in the air that’s clinging to her fur and it’s making me stuffed up” I let out a slight groan at the pressure under my eyes.

After finishing Tom and I’s tea I walk towards the living room. He takes his tea in his left setting his script on his lap. Setting my tea on the coaster next to my chair. I then open the door to let Tessa in. She runs right past me to towards Tom. Before he could set his mug aside, her head hits it causing the liquid to land on top of his script.

“God dammit!” Tom shouts standing up. Tessa whimpering while backing away from Tom. Heading to the kitchen as quick as you can to come back with an ice pack. His hand was red and his clothes soaked. Placing the ice pack on his hand I take his mug away to the kitchen. Hearing thuds ascend the stairs of her probably running up to Jaxon.

“Tessa no, come back..” Tom sighs tilting his head back. He looked frustrated and tired. His shoulders sink in defeat.

“babeeeeee what do I do, Tess is probably upset with me..” His head tilts in your direction. Lower lip pouting out like a child’s would. Why is your husband low-key a child? Man child? Yeah that sounds about right..

“Maybe in her own little dog world she was trying to lend a helping hand?” my voice coming out more like a question.

“How could she lend a helping hand? she’s a dog!” he laughs walking over to you.

“A lending paw?” you try and reason with him.

“Darling, how do I fix things with our dog child?” He asks pulling you close to his body. Placing your hands on his cheeks you rub them with your thumbs. The gesture making him smile. Turning his face he kisses both of your palms.

“You know when you go after Jax when he interrupted a call? What did you do after when you raised your voice at him?” I ask rubbing the stubble adorning his jaw.

“I apologized to him and took him out for ice cream cause I felt bad” He responds after thinking of the memory you shared.

“Now I just bought her new treats, they’re in the cupboards so Jax doesn’t give them to her too often” i explain pointing towards the one you were talking about in the kitchen. Tom follows you into the kitchen, his arms still wrapped around your waist.

“Tom grab a T-R-E-A-T and call her down here now” I say sliding over the jar to him. Popping the lid open he grabs one closing the jar after. Giving you a peck on the cheek he walks towards the living room.

“Tessa, come here please love” Tom calls out to the household. A thud sounds from the second floor. Tessa’s tags jingle as she heads down the stairs. Her grey figure comes down the stairs to sit at the bottom in front of Tom. Tess’s head is tilted down not looking at Tom.

Nudging Tom he stumbles forward a bit, looking back at you. Giving him a thumbs up he looks back at her.  His finger tilting her chin up to look at him. She looked so sad looking at him.

“Now Tessa, I don’t know if you can hear me but Daddy is very sorry for raising his voice at you… Mumma made me realize you were lending a helping paw but I guess things just kind of backfired huh? Mistakes happen love and we can grow from them.. I want to say I’m sorry love, please forgive meeee” Tom pleads holding the treat as an offering of love.

He didn’t know but you were recording the whole thing. You wanted evidence of him being such a dog dad. Tessa barks happily taking the treat out of his hand. Once she finishes chewing she jumps on him making him fall backwards. Laughter coming from Tom as he pulls her close.

“See I told you it would work” I say smugly turning off the video.

“You’re such a mom that’s why” he looks over at you as he gets slobbered on.

“Yes I am, gotta keep all the Hollands in check in this household” A grin comes to your lips at your statement. Hands going up to your hips. You were such a mom but you loved it, every minute of it.

“Not even yourself love?” Tom gets up heading towards you. His arms engulfing you into a warm hug.

“I married into the name so I just have to watch out for the rest of you guys, that’s what mom’s do and what wives do Thomas Stanley Holland” You smirk up at him causing a chuckle to come out of him.Tom’s lips press against your forehead repeatedly. A moment of silence fills the air. It was these moments you loved with your husband. Peaceful moments when he wasn’t tied up with work.

“I love you darling” His accent soothing you.You loved everything about this man with your entire soul.

“I love you most” I whisper resting my head against his chest. Swaying together in the kitchen as he hums ‘Can’t Help Falling in Love with You.’

And one day they are so sad and drink a LOT and call her in the phone apologizing and ask her to come back? Sorry if this is confusing, my english isn't so good. Thank u

RFA + Saeran Breakup

YOOSUNG

  • “You know what Yoosung I’m fed up with you comparing me to Rika all the time, it hurts you know, do you even know that?! You probably don’t care. I love you.. but I guess you only need Rika. Y-you know what I’m done, we’re over”
  • The words echo through Yoosung’s mind as he chugs another beer down
  • He loves her, he hell is sure of it but he made a grave mistake
  • He knows she loathed being compared to Rika but he still is a fool to keep doing it
  • Yoosung remembers all the times she made him happy, all the times they laughed, cooked together, held hands, held her waist as she sits on his lap while he plays LOLOL
  • He misses it all
  • Wet tears burned his eyes and he didn’t even try to stop them, he was too tired
  • He felt his phone around his pocket and absentmindedly called MC, wanting to hear her voice, wanting to feel her presence even if it was just her voice
  • “Hello?”
  • “Oh God you picked up, I’m- I’m so sorry MC! I love you I really do, I was stupid I was so so stupid MC I need you. I need you, my princess please MC I love you”
  • “Yoosung are you drunk right now”
  • Her voice made him smile but the reality of what he’s doing right now made him feel embarassed
  • “I’m sorry…”
  • MC sighed
  • “I’m sorry for hurting your feelings yoosung, tell you what get yourself sobered, come over here and let’s have a talk, I-I miss you”
  • “Y-yes! yes MC i’ll do just that! I’ll do everything just to have you in my arms again, I love you so much”

ZEN

  • Zen did it, he knows the weight of the situation and he blew it, god was he really this stupid?
  • “Zen I know you have a career to take care of and you know I support you but can’t you atleast give me some of your time! You barely even look at me nowadays and you’ve been smoking and drinking nonstop. Take care of yourself!”
  • “Look MC I’m tired, can’t you just sleep already”
  • “No! Zen I love you, if you keep being like this to me and to yourself you’ll break us apart”
  • “I’m the one breaking us apart? You’re the one here being all clingy and shit. If you truly do support me then do me a favor and just not talk to me for a while”
  • “And for how long? a day? a month? Why don’t we just call this off. You don’t even care about me”
  • Zen punched the wall as he felt something red and dripping running along his knuckles
  • He couldn’t even feel it, he was just so numb
  • How could he treat his girl this way??
  • How could he be such an awful man to her when all she ever done was support him and give him all the love she can give to anyone
  • He was a person of mistakes, an ugly, horrible person and he knows it, his parents know it
  • Situations like this makes him remember the way she complimets him and cheers him on, telling him that he’s the most beautiful guy in the world, both in and out
  • God did he miss her
  • It wasn’t a surprise that by the next minute he’s ringing her
  • “Zen look I don’t really feel like talki-”
  • “Please MC hear me out..”
  • “I love you okay? I love you so godamn much and I know what I did was wrong. I know you only wanted the best for me and I know my career has been taking its toll on you. You’ve made that sacrifice for me from the beginning and I was stupid to take it for granted! I-I’m so stupid MC….. I promise I will be the best for you, i promise to give you the attention you deserve. I’ll even quit my career for you! I can work it out with my director, I’ll tell them that it’s time for me to stop and-”
  • “NO” MC shouted through the phone
  • “Zen you don’t have to, acting is your life. Let’s talk this out in person and when you’re sober okay?”
  • “How do you know i’m drunk?”
  • “I know my love enough, let’s meet tomorrow”
  • “Yes please”

JAEHEE

  • “Are you kidding me? are you actually kidding me right now Jaehee? You’re disgusting! I never would beliieve you’d do something like this. i thought you were different!”
  • Jahee also honestly couldnt believe she would do such a thing
  • She had just cheated on MC.
  • A coworker of hers, her lips locked around her own and MC stepped right straight into the scene
  • she tried to cover it up but it was too late, she had been caught
  • “MC I-”
  • “Save it Jaehee, we’re over”
  • God what have I done
  • Jaehee felt so disgusted with herself, so mad that she submitted a full resignation
  • Even Jumin was surprised and disappointed of her actions
  • Jaehee then decided to drink, trying to reminisce the last remaining laughter she and MC sharing, sobbing really really loudly
  • She then decided to call MC, wanting her back even though she knows the answer
  • She atleast need to her an apology, Mc deserved an apology and she deserved someone better for her
  • “Jaehee?”
  • “MC I’m so sorry. I’m so disgusting and you were right. I love you so much and I just need you back MC”
  • “Jaehee you know what you’ve done”
  • “I know and ugh im stupid to even ask for you to be mine again but I tried didnt I? You always told me to try. I just wanted to say that I’m sorry, you deserved an apology”
  • “Yes and I forgive you, just know that I can’t anymore, not after what you did”
  • “I understand…. I hope you find someone who will treat you right, MC. Just know that i will always love you”
  • Goodbye

JUMIN

  • Jumin was currently at the restaurant MC was working at
  • A wine bottle or five strewn across his table
  • But MC didn’t see him, she was quite far to be honest
  • And Jumin requested that he be seated the farthest where he can only observe
  • “Ugh MC why are you this clumsy? You ruined a deal with my business partner”
  • “I’m so sorry Jumin I was only trying to help”
  • “Help? By spilling coffee all over my suit? Outrageous!”
  • “I’m so sorry”
  • “Why am I with someone who turns me into a fool infront of work”
  • “Jumin I am so so sorry”
  • “Sorry won’t cut it, I need to be alone”
  • MC had only been giving Jumin his coffee when she accidentally spilled it on him, landing him a decline in his proposal
  • He was enraged but not as much as MC left the next day, leaving his penhouse dark and empty, MC had taken all of her belongings with her
  • Something in Jumin broke as he began to shout at himself that echoes throughout his home, or what used to be. MC was his home
  • He was feeling lonely yet numb at the same time, he was feeling a whirl of bad emotions as he observes MC laughing with a male co-worker of hers
  • mine
  • He brought out his phone as he shamelessly dialed MC’s number
  • “Hello?”
  • Jumin’s word caught in his throat as he found it completely foolish to be scolding her at this time
  • His hard gaze turned sad as he felt his tears against his cheeks
  • “I’m sorry”
  • “Jumin..”
  • Their eyes locked and MC gasped at the sight before her
  • “What are you doing here? How much did you drink”
  • “It doesn’t matter, I’m sorry”
  • “Your intentions were pure, instead, I took it harshly and I have never felt so much hatred for myself. You are my light MC and without you I am nothing. Without you I am just this emotionless shell of a corporate heir. You brought out these feelings in me and I have never treasured anyone as I have treasured you. You are my home, you are my family and I will forever hold this in my guilt. I love you”
  • “Jumin I’m sorry too”
  • “Now if you would be willing to come in my arms again you would make me the happiest man”
  • “Of course”
  • MC ran straight at him and gave him the tightest hug
  • “I am still correct though. You do turn me into a fool”
  • “Hm?”
  • “A fool in love with you”

SEVEN

  • Seven couldn’t concentrate, he couldn’t at all
  • Why would he, when he had just cheated on his most precious girl
  • But he was under a powerful drug
  • His agency thought it would be a good punishment to have him aroused towards a different girl for making a mistake in his work
  • But he felt so so guilty. It made him hate himself more
  • So when MC found out, she left and he couldn’t utter the words he wanted to say
  • He wanted to say he loves her and that it was a mistake. A horrible horrible mistake
  • And that it wasn’t his fault, he wanted to tell her that he was sorry but he couldn’t
  • No words came out of his mouth, only silent pleas to stay that never really caught MC’s ears
  • Maybe at that time he was thinking of how much he didn’t deserve MC and that it was a good opportunity for her to leave him. To be free so that she wouldn’t experience the pain of being with him
  • But Seven regrets it
  • He regrets it all
  • He needed MC back. She was the one who brought him life, happiness. She was all he needed and he let her slip away from his fingers
  • He felt his growing stupidity as he clutched at his chest, trying to make the pain go away as he watched a CCTV footage of MC at her home.
  • He had installed a camera in her living room for safety purposes and he didn’t want to barge in her privacy but he needed her. He needed to see that she was safe. He needed to see an evidence of her existing
  • With shaky hands, Saeyoung reached for his phone and called MC
  • Seeing MC grab hers, his heart was already at his throat
  • And when she answered the call, the first thing she heard were professions of love
  • “MC I love you I love you I love you I love you”
  • “I… don’t know Saeyoung, after what you’ve done I don’t think I can believe that anymore”
  • He can see her shivering as she silently cried
  • “No no you don’t understand it was because of the agency! I was forced! please hear me out I… i don’t want to lose you. I will fight. I will fight for your love and I will do whatever it takes for you to come back to me please I love you too much. My heart is just about to burst from all this love so please.. please hear me out”
  • “Only just about?”
  • “Huh?”
  • “Your heart is only just about to burst? Mine already did for you”
  • MC chuckled
  • She fricking chuckled
  • Saeyoung could feel tears or relief as he felt his chest unclogging
  • “I’ll head over straight there and we’ll talk okay?”
  • “I’ll be waiting, Saeyoung”
  • He kissed his computer with her footage as he readied his car

SAERAN

  • Saeran had said some hurtful things
  • Very hurtful things
  • He was so mad, so so mad at himself
  • MC, the girl who’s always by his side, the girl who was willing to go through his recovery now left him
  • He felt so broken and was shaking
  • Saeyoung was trying to calm him down but he couldn’t, not when he just felt the light being sucked out of his life
  • And his comforting didn’t feel like MC’s, not at all
  • Hers was gentle and delicate and her scent was intoxicating, enough to put him into a calm oblivion
  • But she’s not here anymore, there was no one to calm him through the rage of his night terrors, no one to hold him close as she whispers soothing words into his ear
  • No body to grasp unto when he couldn’t breathe and couldn’t stop the tears from flowing
  • Her hugs were the best, so kind, so comforting, so loving
  • But she’s gone
  • “I messed up Saeyoung, I messed up this one thing that keeps me going”
  • “Call her, go to her. I can’t stand seeing you like this”
  • “She wouldn’t want to be with me anymore, I messed up I messed up”
  • Saeran was now rocking back and forth as he hugs his body closer
  • Feel her warmth, feel her warmth
  • “Yes hello MC, yes he’s here. Alright I’ll give the phone to him”
  • Saeran’s eyes snapped to his brother as he gave him the hardest look he could muster.
  • But he still took the phone anyways
  • “I’ll be right there Saeran wait for me! I’ll be there”
  • He heard MC panting and he was dumbfounded
  • She’ll come back? Doesn’t she hate him?
  • “MC… I love you”
  • “I love you too… so so much. Wait for me a little longer okay?”
  • The twins heard the door open as they found MC on her phone, still panting
  • She went straight into Saeran’s arms as she stroked his hair and kissed his forehead
  • “I’m so sorry MC”
  • “I”m sorry too Saeran
  • “Don’t ever leave me”
  • “I’ll always be with you”

[[forgiveness]]

a morning CS drabble, spec for 6x13 (or whenever Killian tells Emma)

“Our family is… complicated,” Emma sighed, wrapping her arms around Killian’s waist and drawing him near.

“That’s one word for it.” She could hear the self-loathing in his tone. He wanted her to get angry, she thought. He wanted her to lash out, punish him, maybe kick him out of his own home. But why would she do a thing like that when she knew he was suffering over this?

“It sucks. I know it does. I won’t pretend that Dad won’t be pissed about it for a while. But he’ll forgive you.”

“How can you be so sure?”

“Because I know my family. And we are there for each other. Forgiveness is kinda our thing. Or have you forgotten about how we’ve all accepted Regina into this family after everything she did?” He still looked conflicted, logic warring with his guilt and heartache. “How many times do I need to tell you that you aren’t the same man you were? You’re good, Killian. And you’re an important part of this family.”

“You would love the man who murdered your grandfather?”

She shook her head, leaning forward to rest her head on his chest, half because she needed the physical connection, half to offer him privacy as his eyes glazed over.

“No. I love the man who regrets it.”
