It is your story and we need to respect that.

This is for all those creators, animators, voice actors and everyone involved with the making of a story that is a show, a book, a comic book, a manga and/or a movie (to name a few)…

Recently, someone took pictures while on a tour in Studio Mir. those pictures belong to DreamWorks and the Voltron Legendary Defender creators. After the poor person, posted them, they went viral within the VLD Community. Soon, they were  being contacted by Studio Mir to take those pictures down, due to legal reasons involving DreamWorks.

And this person did their best. Never in my lifetime have i seen so many people coming together to delete all those pictures from tumblr, twitter instagram etc….

And we got victory.

But of course the victory was short lived.

It started with one person. A person who, claimed they loved the romantic ship of Keith and Lance from Voltron Legendary Defender, and kept on posting those pictures all the while saying to Studio Mir,  ‘I won’t take them down unless you confirm Klance Canon’.

(i.e the ‘ship’ name of Keith and Lance.)

People started to say so many things about this person as in:

“They hate Klance and are making us shippers look bad!”

or: “They aren’t even in the Voltron fandom, they are just here being a troll (aka, nuisance)!”

To be honest, it doesn’t matter who they ship, why they did this or if they even are in the fandom. What matters here most is 1) all the people who have planned out the story of VLD and who are now, getting either, discouraged by how these so called ‘fans’ are acting or are rolling their eyes at us. And 2) The consequences Studio Mir can face due to this once small accident.

And with this one idea from that person ‘blackmailing’ Studio Mir, came copycats. Around thirty other people or so are doing the same. ‘Blackmailing’.  All claiming they just want LGBTQ representation in a very successful show like VLD but not knowing they are jeopardizing the chances of ever getting that in this and possibly many other shows.

Now, onto the show itself.

I fell for Voltron Legendary Defenders because of how it just isn’t a kids show to me. Its very well made, humorous to all ages and all in all one of the best reboots i have seen in awhile (my 32 year old Brother agrees to this too.)

But, again, as someone who too, ships Klance i have never felt more ashamed?

A lot of people who ship LGBTQ relationships in shows and books that aren’t canon are seen as ‘Fetishizing’ these characters.

The romantic relationship of two men or two women or all of the above, should never be considered a fetish. Because it is now the real world. Romance is real and for people to fetishize that, is sick and saddening.

I personally, love the dynamic of Klance. But, i also love and adore the dynamic of Klance not being romantic. Them becoming best friends is more than any person in this fandom could ask for.

To even enter into a romantic relationship, people NEED to become the best of friends first. It’s common sense.

Now, i know the panel for VLD is coming up (?), and whether or not they address this isn’t our business but, what is and will always be our business is how we react.

Our actions speak louder than words.

If Lauren Montgomery and Joaquim Dos Santos, walk onto that stage and say, “Keith and Lance will never enter into a romantic relationship.” it is OUR jobs to know that this wasn’t because of some person on the internet that this was probably true from the start.

But, if they say, “Any and all romantic relations that will take place in this show in the future have been decided on our own and without the pressure of you lovely people of the fandom. We make things canon on our own terms and love the continuation of support from the fandom.”

Still if Klance becomes canon, that does not mean you go and praise the people who tried to ‘blackmail’ these people. If Keith and Allura get together you don’t go bashing and hating on those people who tried to ‘blackmail’ the creators. You sit and watch the show and learn to love it not for its ships, characters, design but for it as a whole.

I am sure that whatever happens the VLD team will see that, hey, we (as in the fandom) all are very happy with how they are going with the show. They recognize they can’t simply say “Yes gay will happen”  but they also know that if they happened to plan out romance before this whole ‘blackmail’ thing happened that they have the right to.

All in all, for those people who ship all the romance between characters, or even just LOVE the show as  a whole (all fans should at least) it’s our job to:
1: STAY POSITIVE
2: To remember, ACTIONS SPEAK LOUDER THAN WORDS
And 3: To love the show for what it is.

Sincerely, Nina June.

Kindness Campaign: @maristoryart

For our second Official Kindness Campaign, we have chosen @maristoryart!

@maristoryart has been going through a lot these last few weeks. And because of the distress of art theft, has regretfully departed from the ML fandom.

We all go through some tough times, and we always feel so much better when someone does something for us, no matter how small the gesture!

So, why don’t we all take some time out of our days to send some love and best wishes to @maristoryart! Anything would help!

bts as types of furniture

yoongi: a chair. solid and dependable. just like yoongi. can be used for throwing at people. 10/10.

hobi: windows. lets in fresh air and sunlight. which is good. unless you’re a vampire. then it’s not good.

namjoon: a coat rack. tall and skinny. when knocked over, scares the family cat and breaks things. well-dressed.

jin: a mattress. because you all keep sleeping on him and ignoring his amazing talent and hard work and making excuses for why he has so few lines by saying that he’s not as strong of a vocalist or that his voice isn’t well-suited for bts’s music style when he has proven time and time again that he is a talented and versatile singer and performer who somehow manages to shine brightly despite his lacking opportunities and how little attention the fandom gives him. seriously, appreciate jin, you guys.

jimin: a throw pillow. small, compact, firm. can be thrown at people. being hit hurts more than expected.

taehyung: a couch. comfortable and homey. can expand into a bed if there is company. is often found with throw pillows on it.

jungkook: a desk. strong and solid. versatile. used in many different ways (ex: napping, studying, eating, drawing, napping). a desk you can trust.

this gif personally offends me. first of all, that #hella gay blazer has only one button. the sleeves are either rolled up or the shirt was just designed like that so u know the designer was either hecka gay or clork is just fashionable idk. and not only that blazer but the blue shirt underneath is low cut and is showing off that Good Earth Cleavage. don’t even get me started on her jeans.

back up to clorks face we can see a small smile forming there, which is rlly rude cause im gay. and her hair is c l e a n. and that slow little walk is obv just to kill me like honestly this gif is so. fricken. rude. who. made. this.

You know why I love Matthew Daddario so much? Its because he genuinely cares about the fans. He came on Twitter doing a livechat fully knowing the absolute hell going on in the fandom. He addressed the negativity, and kept on spreading positivity. He assured us malec was important, and gave us small sneak peaks into what’s to come. This man is a treasure, and im so glad we have him ❤

I tried to come up with a serious role reversal AU in which Mana and Nea switch places but all I can think of is Nea raising Allen like “why are you so small”
“Idk, maybe because I’m 10 and live on the streets? Why are you so stupid?”
“Excuse me who is feeding you?”
“Not your untalented ass.”
And the two of them just constantly sassing each other.
While Mana - once he turns up in Allen’s head - is very concerned about how his brother raised Allen and also about well his crazed brother kinda like “Allen, are you fine?”
“You’re trying to take over my body how the hell should I be fine?”
“Ah, yeah, I’m sorry. I’m just concerned.”

Why is Otayuri getting so much hate: a possible explanation

Don’t get fooled by my title, also reminder that explanation =/= justification.

I always try to analyze phenomena and their possible causes, that’s the scientist in me I guess. So I started thinking about ant///is and I was like: but why. I just said in a recent post that Otayuri is obviously not the first relationship portrayed in the history of anime with such a (small) age gap, and I found some posts that talk about how some age gaps in older (and even recent) anime are just outrageous (even when one of the parts is a minor), and yet those don’t seem to be getting any hate or discourse.

But why?

• The sheer number of fans.

The first probably obvious reason is that Yuri on Ice has a lot more fans than other similar fandoms, and it gained them within a very short time span. It’s getting more and more fans every day, so it’s a mathematical rule that in a huge fandom there will be all sorts of people (it’s like a huge sample group), and some of these are an///is. The bigger the fandom, the more the a///is.

• The particular moment in history in which YOI came out.

It’s no secret that there’s discourse everywhere now, especially on certain types of social media. A lot of discourse is good discourse, but we also need to realize that not all discourse is good discourse. I think this discourse wave has played a huge role in the way an///is have suddenly decided to become active in hating on people over idiotic reasons. It’s like a marketing thing: they saw a discourse niche that was unoccupied and decided to take it over. Regardless of whether your discourse is right or wrong, writing about it is one easy way to increase your follower count, and who ain’t a slut for that

• The fact that many YOI fans aren’t used to anime and manga content.

This goes together with my next point, but I thought I’d still make it two separate ones. A lot of people who became hardcore YOI fans don’t usually watch anime or read manga (myself included). This without my next point wouldn’t give much info on its own, but keep this in mind because I really think that the majority of an///is fall under this (and the next) category of people.

• The fact that many YOI fans are from the US and aren’t used to content not made in the US.

Listen, I know I’m making a huge assumption here, but I think it’s one that is generally accepted within the fandom: most (if not all) an///is are from the US. It seems obvious to me because the US is one of the few places where (though not even in every state, I think) the age of consent is 18, and all their interactions with us non-an///is seem very US-centric, especially in the way they generally aren’t willing to acknowledge the fact that different countries have different laws and/or traditions and generally a different mindset.

My goal is not to attack the US mentality here, but, again, I feel like what I’m saying is pretty much accepted even by many of my US friends. And what I’m describing is certainly what an///is act like, so I’m just going to keep explaining why I think this is the main issue (and why I think my assumption is generally right).

We’ve seen before how the US (generally speaking) are scared of importing recreational content from other countries and they’d much rather buy the rights to said foreign content and remake it with their own rules to make it more appealing to a US audience (sometimes even inexplicably and with ridiculous and disastrous results). Recent cases of this have been the US buying the rights to the Norwegian teen TV-show Skam and the popular anime Death Note getting remade into a Netflix movie. The US are screaming at the rest of the world: we only want the idea of your content, but we’d rather make it our own than show yours for what it is, never mind that your show reflects what your country is about and how your the customs of your country reflect on your personal (pop) culture. We don’t want your content EXACTLY because it reflects something that might differ from our views, and our viewers won’t like it.

And I guess they never will if you actually don’t show them what the rest of the world looks like.

I went a little bit on a tangent there, but my point is: US audience isn’t used to consuming content that isn’t made in the US. I’m not even talking about language here: TV shows aren’t dubbed or subbed, the US literally remakes them and remakes the content to fit the US views and mentality.

That means that the average US citizen will very likely find anything that is untouched by americanization weird if not completely out of their moral values. Couple this fact with the previous one: many YOI fans aren’t used to any kind of content that isn’t perfected and polished specifically for their tastes.

It’s amazing and it speaks for the quality of YOI that many of them could still get used to a different form of art (anime) and enjoy it and even become hardcore fans (and are now probably getting interested in other anime and manga etc), but out of these amazing people, a (thankfully smaller) group of them still couldn’t wrap their minds around the fact that fans from all over the world, with their own set of morals, ship something that in their minds is controversial (just because of a man-made law that not even every US state follows). They don’t care about what the law in Japan, Russia or Kazakhstan is and they’ve made this loud and clear.

Bottom line:

The key to this (like for many other issues) is just one:

EDUCATION.

There’s little we as a fandom can do in this case, especially we people not living in the US since we always seem to be dismissed. They send us anon hate and if we reply saying that Otayuri is legal in our own country we never hear back from them. There’s not much we can do if they aren’t willing to listen to us.

But all I tried to do here is offer possible reasons why this phenomenon even exists, and maybe by reading this someone will have a brilliant idea on how to fix this. I don’t offer solutions, but understanding why and how something happens is always the key for the next step, whatever the next step might be.

anonymous asked:

I will never understand people who hate Dany and think she's brutal and evil and just out to conquer and burn the world... you mean this little girl, neglected and abused her whole life, who suffered tragedy after tragedy, lost the two people she loved most in her young life (two people who also abused her) and used her magic creatures to fight slavery and injustice because she is so soft hearted she literally cannot walk away from suffering... she's my favorite literary hero, not a mad queen

Hello anon,

I’m glad you sent this ask because I’ve been meaning to address something that has been coming up of late (again), the idea that Dany will turn into a Mad Queen or become some kind of villain.

I had mentioned in a previous ask that one should consider when coming up with a theory how the theory affects the overall story and the character arc, if the theory is about a character. Basically, ask yourself, what is the narrative purpose of your theory. How does the theory fit into the overarching narrative of the story? And can you get here without distorting the parameters of the character and the narrative.

The theory of Dany being the Mad Queen or becoming a villain has been around for a while now. If we were to distill what is at the core of this theory I think we come up with two schools of thought. The first is, “the road to hell is paved with good intentions”. The thinking is that Dany with her slave revolution created a lot of instability in Essos, primarily economic, which some believe is a worst environment then the centuries of slavery that had a stable economy.

I think we first need to address the proverb of “the road to hell" which doesn’t mean what way too many people think it means. If you  look up the definition in google you get “promises and plans must be put into action, or else they are useless.” nice and concise. Basically, had Dany promoted abolition, and incited a revolution but never actually helped in the revolution and just created chaos that never led to anything but more trouble for the slaves, then yeah, the road to hell would apply. But that’s not what Dany did, did she? She backed up her revolution and put all her resources into fighting slavery. She set her dreams of sailing to Westeros aside so that she could make sure the people of Slaver’s Bay stayed free. Now, plenty of mistakes were made along the way, however, in the end (if we go by show canon) she was able to accomplish her goal and set and keep the slaves free. It was bloody and it was painful but in the end millions of people will benefit from the revolution she started because Dany took action.

Now let’s go back to the other school of thought, that Dany will turn into a Mad Queen because her father was the Mad King. This one I’ve always found really hard to understand. Throughout the course of the books and the show Dany is made aware of who and what her father was. This becomes a theme for her, knowing who her father was she becomes hyper-aware of her actions and scrutinizes them through that lens. She so doesn’t want to be her father (and unconsciously is righting the wrongs of her ancestors as I’ve noted before) that she measures all her action against what she believes her father would have done, and when she comes up short she feels doubts about being the good and just queen she wants to be.

Now, I find it really hard to reconcile the Mad Queen theories with the Dany we know. She’s actively seeking to do the right thing, doesn’t always achieve it, but continues to work on it. She hasn’t given up on this, in fact the last time we saw her on the show, she was taking the sound advice of her Hand, and taking a more measured approach. Why, if we continue to see a person who is constantly self checking, do some fans believe she will change out of the blue. Dany wield an extraordinary amount of people, enough to corrupt most people and yet she continues to seek the council of others and to have people around her who aren’t afraid to tell her the truth.

A Song of Ice and Fire is a coming of age tale and it’s part of Dany’s narrative to confront the past, what her father was, who her ancestors truly were. The Targaryens were a mixed bunch, like any other family. You had the great and you had your horrible, and knowing this drives Dany to do better. This hasn’t changed throughout the story, so why would it change now. What would be the purpose? How would that fit into her narrative? The answer is, it doesn’t fit because there is no purpose. Just a small note but I have to point out the double standard that exist in the fandom. Jon Snow is also a Targaryen but nobody claims he’s going to turn mad.

Sorry I hijacked your ask, I had to get this off my chest.

TTFN

one thing i find concerning is how everyone, even outspoken hux-haters, seems to overestimate hux’s screentime. like, oh, the fandom’s making such a big deal out of him, i can’t remember exactly how long he existed but he must have had a significant amount of time onscreen…right?

various estimates i’ve heard from friends:

  • fifteen minutes
  • twenty minutes
  • six minutes
  • eight to nine minutes
  • “like, i can’t remember, not that long, but his first scene was near the beginning and his last scene was near the end, so… he had the whole movie for screentime opportunities, so it can’t have been less than, like, ten minutes, right?”

the actuality of it is that hux was onscreen for three minutes and fifteen seconds. 3:15. and a large portion of that was him giving that nazi-like speech as his mass-murder weapon slaughtered billions of people instantly, which leaves a very, very small amount of time for him to develop any sort of actual characterization or depth to the extent that he would somehow become the most-loved character in the fandom? i’m sorry, what? like, you do realize why yall like him, right? no matter what you tell yourselves - “oh, he’s a blank slate, we can characterize him as a cinnamon roll if we want uwu” - you are uplifting a white, male character whose central imagery and dialogue is very clearly based on the third reich, while simultaneously demonizing the non-white, non-male characters.

in each of the previous protagonist trios, there have been two white men for yall to ship together; now that there aren’t any, you latched on the the literal only white men in the new franchise, who happen to be vile murders, one of whom is such a minor character he has less screentime than wicket the ewok from rotj, but lol who cares LET’S DRAW A CLEARLY NAZI-CODED CHARACTER IN A FLOWER CROWN!!!

this is why i try to avoid interacting with the majority of the sequels fandom. there are a lot of good people out there, don’t get me wrong, but the majority have bought into this racist shit without even realizing it. no matter what we say, you’re going to come up with some flimsy argument about, oh, well, i’m sure there are other people who only like hux because they’re racist but my personal motivations are entirely different, it’s not like you can see inside my head so you have to accept what i tell you about the reasons i like hux which are totally not racist :).

oh, by the way? half of those “not-racist” reasons are overtly racist anyways. and, to anyone who’s thinking of telling me again i should just shut up and accept that the fandom has been overrun with white male content and that nobody cares about finn, poe, or rey: good luck with the rest of the trilogy, jackasses.

Adrinette Month Day Twenty-Seven

Who’s staying up too late doing Adrinette prompts still? Meee… Why is that? Wedding dresses. I mean, Marinette would probably design her own, but would she go strictly one style or another? I know it’s popular in the fandom for them to have a small wedding with close friends and family, but I also think the rest of her family might come in (or try, but how many people are in the Dupain-Cheng family idk. We know of her Uncle, and mentions of her Grandma in the Special so /shrug). Obviously, I probably just need to work on clothing design in general. At least today is the last day.

I probably could’ve skipped trying to color too… takes too much time for me.

Now… gonna sleep for an hour or something.

Meet Billy and Bobby. Both Billy and Bobby are friends, and both Billy and Bobby equally hate the Joseph/Robert ship.

Bobby hates it so much, in fact, that he sends hate to the artists and comments on their posts about how disgusting he finds the ship and why he believes it is bad.

Billy, instead, though he finds it equally terrible, simply ignores the content, blocking it if it really bothers him and continuing on down the Joseph and/or Robert tags in peace.

Bobby has hurt a lot of people’s feelings this way, while Billy has respected that his opinions may not be shared by others.

Don’t be like Bobby. Be like Billy.

Reasons why the small Twilight fandom of 2017 is great…at least on Tumblr (and like always….TYPOS):
1.). You post anything under the twilightsagaedit tag, it’s going to be seen. It won’t get lost in a ton of other edits. Sure, it may not get hundreds of likes because there aren’t that many active Twi fans on Tumblr to make that happen, but if you get about 30 notes, that means everyone has seen it. All art and edits are appreciated. Your hard work and effort doesn’t go unnoticed.
2.) You basically know everyone?? Like by name….it’s so great.
3.) We can have discussions about literally anything where no one gets butt hurt unlike the old days. We can bring up our opinions on characters, plot, cast, the writing, the movies, parts of canon we don’t like, headcanons, dynamics of the creatures, literally ANYTHING! You pose a question or a discussion, YOU WILL GET AN ANSWER! You don’t get ignored. All opinions and points are seen as valid and are respected. It’s seriously so great.
4.) Team Edward/Jacob still exists, but it’s not intense. You can state your side without being attacked.
5.) We are mature and intelligent enough to recognize the not so good things of Twilight (unhealthy relationships, exploitation of the Quileute tribe, touchy backstories, all vampire are canonically white, etc.) without hating on it and being 100% negative towards the series as a whole. (Check out @panlight and @kyilliki for discussions)
6.) We have poc and lgbt+ edits for like anyone. You say “_____ is trans” no one will argue “No they’re not !1!1!1!” Headcanons will be throw out immediately, along with edits because we aren’t disgusting homophobes. Or if you post something like “Here’s the Cullens as poc” it will get nothing but love cause we aren’t racist idiots. (Check out @alilaro for poc/lgbt+ Volturi art and @midnightsuntrash for lgbt+ funny posts and headcanons)
7.) We have Keeping Up With the Cullens!!! It’s hilarious. We are so blessed. (Check out @keepingupwiththecullens )
8.) All new Twilight blogs are like 100% accepted in and it’s like they’ve always been there. I’ve literally never been so accepted into a fandom so quickly and felt so comfortable. It’s great. Completely toxic free and so inviting. No one cares if you’ve been there since 2005 or if you just became a fan yesterday.
9.) We think the hate people reblog on our posts is funny (well I get super annoyed but others are cool with it)
Check out this post: https://twilight-af.tumblr.com/post/162730479589/nighttimepatrons-thee-plithmus
10.) Our shitposting is honestly so pure and hilarious.
11.) If anyone seriously needs anything like everyone is so quick to help. There’s been countless times where I’ve needed something and immediately I had people in my inbox and replied giving me what I needed. And when people are going through rough times, there’s always love given to them. It’s so sweet and pure and I love it.
12.) We all just love. Twilight. So. Much. So much nostalgia and good memories are shared. We have nothing but love for this series and it shows in everything we do.
13.) We support the cast still today! Yes, some of us don’t like everyone, but everyday I see posts of various members of the cast, not just Kristen, Rob, and Taylor. We even support the directors. I saw some posts from people in the fandom who went to see Beauty and the Beast were just like BILL CONDON!!!!!!! while everyone else was like Emma Watson!! (He directed Breaking Dawn Part 1&2 and BATB) It was so cute.
14.) Side characters are appreciated SO MUCH. The love triangle is not the only focus. Minor characters get so much love. Basically all characters in Twilight are talked about and edited.
15.) We all like collectively hate imprinting and Breaking Dawn in some way. It’s great.
16.) In our edits we don’t whitewash!
17.) Twi hards are still the geeks and fangirls/boys they were many years ago…it’s just more low key.
18.) Editing skills have evolved. Twi fans make some of the most beautiful gifs and images I have ever seen. So much heart goes into them.
19.) We have accounts dedicated just to the atmosphere of the series. This is one of my favorite things. Just scrolling though these blogs makes you feel like you’re in Twilight AHHHHH. And it’s a lot of blogs really, not just atmosphere dedicated blogs, that reblog posts like these. I. Love. Them. !!
20.) Last but not least: We defend Twilight with everything we have. Doesn’t matter if its characters, the plot, cast, etc. We are defensive and protective of what we love. We argue and we attack. No one comes to talk trash about Twilight and it’s characters without being intellectually and respectfully shown why they’re wrong. We own up to the faults of Twilight…we don’t argue these points. We argue those who are wrong and go off basis of opinion/the movies. We protect our beloved series!!!

some dumb headcanons

Armin:

  • As a kid he used to have short spikey hair because his life goal was becoming Sonic the Hedgehog.
  • He sings only the most girly k-pop songs in the most high-pitched voice possible whenever he is out of his room. Alexy always tells him “Even I am not THAT gay”
  • He doesn’t use internet memes, he uses his own and tries to get people to use them too: most are dumb photos of Rocket or his friends’ derp faces photoshopped into viral memes.
  • He had this super crush on his primary teacher. When she announced that she had to leave because she was pregnant he felt so betrayed he stood up and screamed so hard in the middle of class he peed his pants. Still disappointed.
  • Watches hentai for the character development.
  • Loves shitty ass films
  • After shitting he will call poor Alexy to the bathroom to “come admire his art”

Castiel:

  • He went through the most cringey emo phase. He feels FEAR anytime someone mentions myspace. He has worked REALLY HARD to get out of it and will absolutely KILL anyone who dares to dig up his old past.
  • He met Lys at one of those emo meet-ups.
  • The only thing he is afraid of is blood. He gets light-headed when girls get period stains  Will never admit tho
  • Has a gigantic film collection.
  • Personally offended MCR is still not back together.
  • Was the biggest mama boy till emo phase hit. He still kinda is, but only if the two of them are alone.
  • Loves watching clouds, more so if it’s about to rain.

Lysander:

  • Is really scared of butterflies. Not bugs, just butterflies. Don’t ask why. But he will run for his LIFE if one approaches him.
  • He is not good with animals, specially small ones. He is always scared of hurting them.
  • Messiest person ever. He is just too busy thinking to bother tidying up. His books will eat him while he sleeps one day.
  • Might or might not have kissed some boys during emo phase
  • High libido.
  • HATES kids. Hate is a strong word, but that’s why he uses it. They are stupid, you can’t reason with them, some can’t read, they don’t have existential crisis… they are not even people.
  • Likes jewels and botanical pictures.

sorry they are shit I wanted to contribute to the fandom lol

anonymous asked:

Why do I have a feeling that scenes, where ash falls into Even's eye and Isak is laughing, or the one where Isak is attempting to rap and Even starts laughing, prompting Isak to say "Get it together!" are unscripted? They seem like Tarjei and Henrik, lol.

Yeah, I don’t think you’re completely wrong anon!

I want to preface my speculations by saying that I think Tarjei and Henrik’s acting in all the montages and improvised moments is amazing..

the small subtle things they do,

the way they stay in character beyond dialogue,

and play off each other and reacting to each others cues,

it’s in those quiet scenes I think their acting speak volumes. ❤️

As for the scenes you mentioned…

I think the rap scene is an ad-lib, the two of them in character, but improvising the scene and thus Isak’s genuine reaction when Even can’t maintain the beat.

The entire “hjernen er alene” montage feels like a mix of improvisation with some open direction and the camera just rolling through takes.

Here Fille possibly RUINS THE MAGIC (don’t read if u don’t want that):
