anonymous asked:

don't know if you watch pd101 but if you do could you pleaaaase write a kang daniel college!au? he has effectively ruined my life 🙃🙃🙃🙃

i do!! ill write a mini one for him ^^

  • major: public health + paramedic certificate because he wants to work as a part of an ER response team
  • sports: dance team, football team
  • is essentially the school sweetheart and everyone knows him as the guy who’d give you the shirt off his back if you asked
  • quite literally,,,,jisung played a joke once and asked daniel if he could borrow his shirt because his next period class was SUPER cold and daniel,,,,,,,,,,literally took off his shirt
  • rumor has it some chick fainted from the sight of his bare shoulders but no one knows if this was confirmed or not (seongwoo claims it totally is true)
  • but like he really does his best to try and help others out,,,especially freshman or younger students in the course who seem to be struggling with adjusting to like college life
  • he’s like the reliable big brother who is smiley and soft and will teach you silly dance moves on the quad
  • but is also super serious about helping people and isn’t scared of anything, from jumping into a fire to save someone in need of medical assistance to carrying people who’ve broken legs,,,,,,,
  • also let’s take a moment to imagine daniel in the paramedic like get up like the uniform,,,,thank u
  • everyone thinks its super adorable that daniel’s first rescue story was saving his cat who got stuck in a tree
  • like how TYPICAL and CORNY but also,,,,,,he’s an angel who walks the earth amiright
  • seongwoo is always like “my bestfriend is going to be the next iron man~ captian,,,,where did you study again my dude??? canada?? captain CANADA”
  • and daniel is like embarrassed but also,,,,,he loves his friends and is happy they support him but seriously captain canada thats worse than when jisung got the football team to refer to him as quarterback cat-lover
  • you’re actually one of the TAs for one of the tests in the paramedic course and there’s a requirement of paramedics being able to carry at least 125 pounds by themselves and you’re supposed to be checking off who can pick up the human dummy and who cant
  • and so you’re going down the list and ur like “next,,,,kang daniel?”
  • and you don’t look up when he steps over you just motion with your hand toward the dummy and you’re like “pick him up and walk three laps around the room”
  • and when you look up you almost drop your clipboard because ,,,, this handsome boy smiles and is like sure!! and uve never seen someone so happy to drag around a plastic human before
  • but there he is,,,,hosting the dummy up like it weighs n o t h i n g
  • and he turns to u and is like “can i try carrying two?” and ur like ,,,,uh,,,,,s,,,sure???
  • and once again he baffles you,,,picking up the other dummy and going on his merry way
  • and in what seems like the shortest period of time than everyone else you tested he does his three circles and stops in front of you
  • carefully setting the dummy’s down and wiping at his forehead,,,,that pretty grin on his face
  • and he’s like “all good??”
  • and ur like,,,,y,,,yes,,,,um,,,,,,,,yes you’re good
  • with a bow he says thanks and leaves the room and you’re like what,,,,,,who,,,,,,,,,,,,,
  • and you look down at his name again and you’re like “kang daniel,,,,,,,are you superhuman/!??!?!”
  • for the next week you can’t get him off your mind,,,and you’re sure it’s because he’s not only strong and cute but because you’ve been a TA for the program for this whole semester and no one has ever just looked that happy to do the tests
  • and one afternoon you’re eating lunch with a friend in the campus cafe when you spot daniel,,,,at a table with his health books stacked up near his tray (which is also stacked with food)
  • ad at some point ur friend is like heY,,, hEY stop staring you’re going to DROOL
  • and ur like !!!!!! WOOPS but they also nudge and are like “kang daniel huh? he’s cuuuuute~ go talk to him!!!” and ur like HA,,,I ,,,,,,,,wasn’tlookingathimiwaslookingathis,,,,,sandwich
  • and ur friend rolls their eyes but when u look back daniel???? is staring back at you
  • and when you make eye contact he perks up and waves and ur like ?????????? looking around and then pointing at urself and he nods and waves u over
  • and u get up and ur friend lets out a whistle as you go to sit beside him and ur like ,,,,hey,,,, and he smiles again and the way his cheeks go up and his teeth show is SO DAMN CUTE
  • and he’s like “not to sound full of myself but i noticed you were looking at me for a while, whats up?”
  • and you,,,,,,almost dIE of embarrassment on the spot because oh frick he saw you
  • but you’re also like o,,,oh i ,,,i was just,,,,,um,,,,,,ur the guy who carried two dummies at the test a week ago??? and i was like oH is that you or not you you kno-
  • but daniel just chuckles and closes his book
  • and he’s like “yep that was me,,,,,but i dont think thats why you were looking.”
  • and you feel ur mouth go dry and you’re like i,,,, um– but daniel just points to your friend with his pen and is like “do you think they’ll be ok with me stealing you away for a little date to the movie tonight?”
  • and ur like!!!!!!!!! ,,,, o,,,oh and u look at ur friend who just shooting hearts and thumbs up at u
  • and daniel is like lol they remind me of jisung but ur also like ,,,, i,,,i think ,,, they’ll be ok with that
  • and daniel winks,,,handing you the pen and rolling up his sleeve
  • and he’s like “here, write your number down and ill call u to set up a time”
  • and u cant believe it as you’re scribbling down ur number,,,,,but it’s true he calls u around 7 and u guys go see a movie and it’s adorable and daniel is a gentleman through and through paying for everything,,,,,telling you he likes the way you look all serious during the dramatic scenes,,,,holding your hand when he takes you back to your dorm
  • even a light kiss on your forehead,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,it’s a dream come true
  • dating college!daniel: he is really good in all his classes but he tends to be LATE so he’s always rushing in the morning but he never fails to send you a ‘good morning, i love you’ text, doesnt really like coffee so u get into the habit of buying him smoothies and he thinks its cute how u remember this about him also those smoothies are really good for his vegetable intake u are so thoughtful, you and daniel adopt the newest paramedic trainee woojin, daniel is suchhhhh a tease he always sneaks up behind you when ur studying to wrap u up in his arms and kiss on your neck, jisung always makes faces when u guys pda but tbh he loVES seeing daniel so happy with you, seongwoo is like “im his original soulmate” but he’s just joking hehe, daniel sends u pics of cats he sees on the street, you guys get matching rings like a month into it because kang daniel goes HARD for love, favorite dates range from laser tag to night fireworks on the beach, thinks its cute when you wear his flannels to class or during finals because u guys are both studying and u cant see him so often but they remind you of him, daniel takes you with him to get his first tattoo and u hold his hand the whole time, he’s kinda bad at realizing he isnt invincible so sometimes ull find scrapes on him and have to bandage him up, did anyone say morning after laughter under the sheets: yeah i did for KANG DANIEL who loves skinship and YOU

First day of kindergarten

“Madre, no quiero ir!” ( Mom I don’t want to go!)

“ Tony…Por que?” Mrs. Padilla looked down at her son with curiosity.

(Tony why?)

“Quiero quedarme contigo Mama!” Tony whined grabbing his mom’s leg as they stopped at the doorway in front of the classroom.   (I want to stay with you, Mama!)

“Sólo intente un día y ver si a ti te gusta?”   (Just try one day and see if you like it?”) Mrs. Padilla grabbed his hand from her leg and clasped it in hers. They slowly entered through the doorway of the brightly colored classroom and was met with a short blonde woman.

“Hello! What’s your name?” She asked gently but excitedly.

Tony looked up at his mom to see her nod in approval and smile down at him. He turned back to face the blonde woman and looked her in the eye.

“Tony.”

As soon as he said his name the blonde woman’s features brightened instantly. “Nice to meet you, Tony! My name is Mrs. Jevvers! I’m going to be your Kindergarten Teacher!”

Tony’s face brightened a little.

“I already set up everything and you’re free to go around the classroom and find your desk! It should have your name on it.” She exclaimed with a bigger smile.

He gave her a small smile and turned back to his mother who gave him a smile.

“See, you’ll be fine hijo.” She said as she gently hugged him.

Tony nodded but, he could feel his throat getting tight and his eyes start to get prickly.

She exited the embrace and gave him a kiss on the forehead.

“Adios Hijo, te amo.” (Bye son, I love you.) She cooed and waved goodbye as she exited through the door.

Tony swallowed a big lump in his throat and wiped his eyes.

Mrs. Jeevers looked down at him, sadness in her eyes.

“Tony are you ok? Your mother will come back don’t worry!”

Tony rubbed his eyes with his sleeves and nodded.

“Why don’t you go find your desk and I’ll start class soon!” She smiled trying to brighten his mood.

“Yes, mam.”

He left the blonde teacher alone and went over to where the desk where on the other side of the room. He glanced for his name as he made his way around the groups of desks. His eye instantly caught the bold red name tag with the letters TONY written in neat handwriting.

He pulled out his chair and sat down next to a bigger brown haired freckled boy.

The boy looked over at him and smiled.

“My name’s Jonathan, what’s yours?”

“Tony.”

“COOOL! Like Tony Stark from Iron Man?!.”

Tony hesitated and nodded.

“WICKED!”

The brunette proceeded to talk about Iron Man as the rest of the kids entered the classroom to get dropped off by their parents.

When all of the parents were gone Mrs. Jeevers clapped her hands to get the classes attention.

“Hello class, I'm Mrs. Jeevers and I’m going to be your teacher for the rest of the year!” She said with a big grin.

The class giggled and grinned.

“I’m going to call each of your names off so I can do attendance and when I do call your name I want you to stand up and tell us something fun you like to do!”

The class whispered and nodded.

“Adrian Hall?” She called.

“That’s me! I like to play with my legos!” A freckled red headed boy raised his hand and smiled showing off his toothy grin.

Mrs. Jeeveres smiled and continued calling names. Tony zoned out until he heard his name get called.

“Tony Padilla?”

He raised his hand.

“And what do you like to do Mr. Padilla?”

Tony thought as hard as he could until he figured it out.

“I like to play with cars!”

Mrs. Jeeveres smiled and checked off his name.

Mrs. Jeevers continued to call off names until she was done.

“Did I forget anyone?” She asked looking around the class.

“Mrs. Jeevers, you forgot me.” A quiet sheepish voice called from behind Tony.

Tony turned around till he was in eye contact with a small brunette boy with blue eyes.

“Whoever said that could you please raise your hand?”

The small brunette boy slowly raised his hand embarrassedly as all eyes in the class were on him.

“What’s your name, young man?” Mrs. Jeevers asked with another one of her bright smiles.

“Clay. Clay Jensen.”

Tony quickly realized he was still staring at the brunette and quickly flashed his eyes somewhere else in the room in embarrassment.

“Nice to meet you, Clay! What do you like to do for fun?” She asked calmly.

Clay hesitated to get the words out of his mouth.

“I like to um…um..watch TV!.” He blurted out.

Everyone in the class except Tony giggled at him.

Clays cheeks slowed turned from a rosy red to a deep scarlet.

The teacher also giggled at him.

“I like to do that too Mr. Jensen.” She beamed as she made a mark on the attendance list.

“Anyone else?”

No one in the class answered.

“Ok that should be everyone!”She replied quickly.

“Could everyone please go sit around the chair? I’m going to read you guys a story!”

The class whooped in excitement and stampeded over to the rocking chair. Tony got up to follow them but stopped when he noticed Clay was standing little ways away from the group of chatty kids. The small hispanic boy quickly took notice of how the other boy fidgeted in his spot and looked over to the group in nervousness and proceeded to stare down at his shoes.

Tony thought about his options. He scratched his head of hair and made up his mind. Tony went away from the group and up to the shorter boy. He stuck out his hand.

“Hi, my name is Tony.” He smiled one of the brightest he could muster.

The other boy smiled bashfully, revealing a set of pearly white teeth with one missing middle tooth.

Tony could feel his heart start to speed up and his cheek start to get hot.

He questioned himself internally on it but, ignored it when the soft-spoken boy whispered out.

“Hi! My name is Clay.”

Daryl Dixon x Reader

Warnings: Drama

Words: 1,000

Hi, could you write an imagine where reader is jealous instead of daryl? :)

You watched Daryl, who was talking to another girl across the room. She ran her hand up and down his arm and giggled at something he said. “Un-fucking-believable.” you thought to yourself. Was Daryl actually interested in her? What the fuck did he see in this bitch? Well, you didn’t exactly ‘know’ her because you just moved to Alexandria, but you didn’t give a shit. Daryl was off limits to anyone except you, in your mind at least.

“Hey Daryl, can I talk to you for a second?” you asked, interrupting their conversation. He was about to answer but he was cut off when the girl said “Um, excuse me? We were in the middle of something.” you honestly didn’t want to start anything, so you turned around. “What do ya need to talk about?” Daryl asked, putting his hand on your shoulder to stop you from walking away. “Don’t even worry about it.” you said, shaking your head slowly. You glanced back at the girl and she had a confident smirk on her face.

“Can ya give me a second?” Daryl asked the girl as he watched you walk over and sit next to Maggie and Glenn. “Stay.” she pleaded and Daryl just shrugged his shoulders and stayed put. Whatever you had to say could wait.

(2 Weeks Later)

“What did ya wanna talk about?” Daryl asked you. “Really? It’s been two weeks and you’re asking me this now?” you answered, slightly annoyed. “M’sorry, just been busy.” he said. “Busy?” you asked with raised eyebrows and he nodded. You knew he was full of shit, but decided not to bring it up. “Alright then, it was nice catching up.” you told him sarcastically. “Hold on”- Daryl began.

“There you are! I’ve been looking everywhere for you.” the girl told Daryl in a cheerful voice. She noticed that you were standing next to him and the smile on her face faded. An idea popped into her head and she decided to give it a go. She wrapped her arms around Daryl’s neck and kissed him. You literally felt your heart drop and tears welled in your eyes. You needed to get out of here so that’s exactly what you did.

****

You got on your motorcycle and drove over to the entrance of Alexandria. “Open the gate.” you told Sasha who noticed your tear stained face. “I’m not going to.” she told you firmly. “Open the fucking gate!” you yelled at her and she still didn’t move. You got off your bike and opened the gate yourself and Sasha just watched you. “Thanks for all the help.” you told her as you remounted your bike and took off.

Wind tousled your hair, sending it it in different directions as you sped up as fast as you could. After a while you pulled over on the side of the road and hid the bike underneath branches. You walked for a little bit, eventually you came across a pond and decided to take a break. You took out your water bottle and took a swig as images of Daryl kissing someone else filled your head.

****

“The fuck are ya doin’?” Daryl asked pushing away and wiping his mouth. “Letting that chick know who you belong too and it clearly worked.” she said grinning and he looked around trying to find you. “I gotta find her.” he said. “Come on, is she really worth all that trouble. You can’t compare her to me. Just forget her and come back home with me.” she purred into his ear and tugged on his shirt.

“Yer right, I can’t compare her to you.” he answered and she smiled widely. “She’s better in every single way and she’s got something that you’ll never have.” he said. “Oh yea? And what’s that?” she replied furiously.

Me.”

****

“Have you seen (Y/N)?” Daryl asked Sasha. “Yep, she took off about an hour ago.” she answered. “And ya didn’t stop ‘er?!” Daryl asked, swinging his arm in front of him. “She’s a big girl Daryl. She can make her own decisions. Who am I to stop her? If (Y/N) wants to leave, she can.” Sasha stated.

Daryl rolled his eyes in disgust and got on his own bike, to go and find you. “I would let her cool down. She was obviously upset about something.” Sasha told him and Daryl ignored her, pulling through the gate.

****

Daryl was driving for a while when he saw a bushel of branches where they didn’t belong. He lifted a branch up and saw that it was your motorcycle that was covered. He hurriedly hid his own bike and started to follow your tracks through the woods.

“The hell do ya think yer doin’? Runnin off like that.” You heard a familiar voice say making you jump.

“What are you doing here?” you asked, not bothering to answer his question. “Someone needed to make sure ya didn’t do anythin’ stupid.” he said. “I don’t need a babysitter Daryl!” you yelled, scrambling to stand up. “I’m pretty sure ya do. Comin’ out here alone, do ya even think?!” he yelled back. “Why do you care? It’s not like I mean anything to you anyway! I could die tomorrow and you wouldn’t give a shit.” you answered. “That’s really what ya think?” Daryl asked, lowering his voice. “That’s what I know.” you replied sharply.

“Fine.” he growled. Daryl stormed over to you, pushing you against the nearest tree. “Get off me you asshole!” you shouted, but didn’t try to get out of his grasp. “Nope.” he said licking up the side of your neck and instantly you fell into a puddle of mush. “I saw the way ya looked at me ya know.” he continued and placed open mouthed kisses on your neck. “I know ya were jealous.” he said, digging his fingertips into your hips. “Was.. Not..” you barely got out. “Mhmm, sure ya weren’t.” he answered. “Screw you Dixon.” you said, smashing your lips against his.

“Now you’re all mine.”

You and Bucky sat at a nearby Starbucks, both staring at your untouched hot drinks. Bucky’s face was pale, his brows were furrowed together in thought. You could only imagine you looked the same. You were now guardians to a child, Nat and Clint’s daughter. You loved Emily, she was a bright child, soon to be a year old. You remembered all the barbecues and parties Nat and Clint used to have. People always gathered in the backyard, sitting on funky chairs that Clint built himself, chatting about life, children, work. Typical parent stuff. You never really fit in with the crowd, always being the single one. You’d seen Bucky at most of the parties too, he was best friends with Clint. Unlike you, he always had a different girl around him every time. Both of you were there when Nat gave birth to little Emily. You remember holding her in your arms, Bucky looking over your shoulder. That’s when Nat suggested you two should go out, have some fun. Never again.

A/N: first of all i am v v v sorry if this isn’t 100% accurate but it was an idea playing around in my head so i just took things from what i know and shows ive watched. i also wrote half of this while i was in a crap mood and the other half when i was v sick so it might not be the greatest but it’s something. also forgot my tags list on this one i’m the worst. and i almost didn’t wannt post this bc i’m a lil iffy on it and don’t want to trigger anyone or upset folk but yolo i guess. it’s not too bad ???

Forgetting thing is always annoying. Whether it’s where you put your keys, plans with friends, if you’d taken your dog out - simple things like that. Trying to search your brain to see if you can figure out if you can remember is never anyone’s favourite thing to do but imagine if you couldn’t remember anything at all.

Nothing.

Never mind where the keys were. Imagine what it must be like to not remember anybody, memories and everything you used to know. Imagine having everything you ever knew ripped away from you.

Love Is On The Radio

Sitting in the study, bent over your work you sighed and threw the pen down. You had been trying to write this stupid essay for nearly two days now and it was winding you up to a point that you never thought it would be finished. Had Seb been home he would have sat with you, not saying anything, just playing on his phone or sitting there, and his presence just seemed to make you more relaxed, at ease which made the whole thing so much easier. But at the moment he was away filming, he had been gone for months and the most contact you had had with him was the odd text or phone call. While proud of him for his work you couldn’t help but feel a little lonely when he was gone.

Having given up for the day you headed down to the kitchen, switching on the radio so that some noise filled the silent apartment as you made something that might resemble food. Seb normally cooked, you chuckled as you remembered him telling you how dangerous you where when it came to cooking. You had dropped a knife and it had nearly got right through his foot.
You weren’t really listening to the radio, it had landed on a random channel, but you didn’t care, you just needed something other than your own thoughts to listen to for a while. Vaguely noting that it was some celebrity interview for a film you set about making your best and only safe dish. Pasta.

“So filming has just wrapped on your latest film, what’s next for you?” the interviewer asked and then you froze.
“Well, hopefully I’ll get some time off before the next job but currently we are working towards the next avengers movie” said the familiar voice.

Forgetting the pasta you ran to the radio, sitting on top of the counter across from it, your attention now solely focused on it. “Oh I love those movies, I can’t wait for it to come out!’ the interview exclaimed. She was female and you could picture just what she looked like. “Can you tell us anything about it, Sebastian?” she asked. The flirtation in her voice was evident and it shook you as you could see the blond hair and red lipstick as she asked your boyfriend questions. “Well of course its all very hush hush at the moment, and I haven’t actually started filming yet, but from what I’m aware of it is going to be the most epic movie we have done to date” he replied. Unlike the interviewer, Seb’s voice was calm and collected, exited about the topic he was discussing, but there was something there that only you would have recognised. He was clearly uncomfortable with the way she was talking to him. “You said that you hoped to have a break first- do you have any plans?” she asked and you scowled at the radio as if it was the one you where getting cross with. “Well of course it will be great to get home, see family and just relax generally-“
“But still working out, after all the winter solider has a very distinctive look” she laughed. Seb chuckled but you could tell it was forced.
“Ha yeah, I guess he does.”
“Do you have anyone special waiting for you at home then?” you huffed, this woman was pushing the boundaries of what was okay to talk about live on air, and you knew Seb hated talking about his personal life. “Actually, I do. And they are amazing” he said, the slightly irritated snap was clear in his voice that anyone might have picked it up. The interviewer was clearly taken aback and coughed lightly. “Well then… um… that was Sebastian Stan discussing his latest movie ‘Lucky Logan’ out this August” she said and the interview ended there.

With a huff you jumped off the counter top, annoyed that Seb hadn’t mentioned a radio interview in his last phone call, you made a mental note to ask him about it later. But you where pleased that he gave the woman whats for, she had stepped way over the line.

Your phone rang and you groaned, desperate for food at this point, and answered not even bothering to check the caller ID. “Hello, depression centre, how can I help?’ you answered in bored tone before snickering at your own joke that if you had been honest wasn’t funny. “Wow, and I though I was calling for support” said a voice that melted your heart.
“Hello you” you grinned instantly perking up. “Nah, just bored, stupid essay that’s all”
“Anything I can help with?” Seb asked and you shook your head
“Nah, its nearly done now. So why do you need support?” you asked
“I’ve just had to do this god awful interview-“
“I know, I heard” you sighed
“Oh God, you didn’t did you?” he groaned and you knew that he was going that cute thing of running his hands through his hair, which was currently in the process of being grown out. “Yeah, accidentally though, I’m trying to cook’ you explained
“Oh god” he cried dramatically “whatever you do don’t burn the house down” he laughed and you grinned back
“I’ll try not to, but I can’t promise anything” you said. “That woman though, how come you didn’t tell me about the interview?” you asked tucking your phone between your ear and shoulder so that you could move around the kitchen while talking. “Because of that exact reason” he huffed “She always flirts and I hate it, I had to put my foot down this time, she just grrrr” he groaned. “Aww what a hard life you lead, with beautiful women throwing themselves at you” you said teasingly and he huffed.
“Maybe I don’t want them to” he replied and your snorted “Seriously! I have you! Why would I want a slaggy Linsey when I can have a perfect Y/N?” he insisted and you grinned.
“Your being cheesy again” you grinned stopping what you where doing to actually talk to him, it wasn’t fair on him to be multitasking right now. “I’m serious Y/N, besides, you know you love it” you couldn’t help but roll you eyes.
“Yeah I do, but you know what I would love more?” you asked and wiggled your eyebrows even though you knew he couldn’t see you. “What’s that?” his voice had gone all husky and deep clearly he was thinking what you where.

A knock at the front door stoped what you where about to say “I want there to be no one at the door, and ice-cream” you huffed. “Who is it?” Sebastian asked and you pulled a face
“Funnily enough my x-ray vision is broken today and I can’t see through doors”
‘Oh bummer, might want to see a doctor tomorrow then” he joked and you grinned back
“I would but there could be a murderer on the other side of the door in which case my laser beam hands will need to be replaced first, otherwise I might starve to death while your gone” you laughed.
“A murderer?” he asked and you could hear the grin in his voice as you moved to the front door.
“Its that or purple aliens, I haven’t decided. Hold on” you said as you opened the door and froze. You nearly dropped your phone in surprise only just managing to catch it. “Not a murder or an Alien, but I do have Ice-cream” Sebastian grinned as he stood in front of you. Your mouth hung open in shock, not believing that it was really him. You reached out and poked his chest causing him to rock on his heels and he laughed. “You really here?” you asked and he nodded
“Where else would I be?” he asked. You shook you head, clearing it of the initial shock of seeing him again.
“Being probed by purple aliens of course” you laughed before rugby tagging him into a large bear hug. You felt his arms wrap around you waist as he breathed in deeply, inhaling the smell of your perfume as you clung to him. “I missed you” you whispered into his neck. You could feel his smile as he hurried his head in you hair. “I know.”

Per Manum Flashback #1

“Well, you need a father, of course. I can get you genetic counseling on finding an anonymous donor, if that’s what you want… unless you already have someone in mind.”
“Yeah… I, uh… I just have to figure out how to ask him.”

This is all happening so fast.

She’d only wanted to know if it would be possible. Someday. Not necessarily right now. She knew that the abduction and experimentation had left her unable to conceive, and for a long time she’d accepted her fate. But lately, since she and Mulder have become intimate, she can’t help thinking more and more about what-if. It’s led her to question the specifics of her infertility: would her body be capable of carrying a pregnancy to term if she used a donor egg, for example. Simple information gathering.

But then yesterday Mulder dropped the bombshell on her about the ova he stole from the Lombard Research Facility, almost three years ago. Actually, “bombshell” is far too sedate a word. He stole her ova, secretly had them tested, never told her when they were deemed inviable, and then kept them hidden in his freezer anyway.

But despite the odds, Dr. Parenti seems to think there’s a chance. And a time window that’s rapidly closing. Which means that “someday” just became “now.” And that means she has to figure out how to ask Mulder the question she thought she might have years to plan, if she ever had to ask it at all.

What if he’s not ready for that? God, she is barely ready, and she wants it so badly she can hardly breathe. What will she do if he says no?

What if this breaks them?

She can’t ask him in person, she realizes. If he turns her down, she won’t be able to hide her disappointment, and she doesn’t want him to feel guilted into saying yes if he truly doesn’t want this. No, he needs time, and privacy, to think it over and make his own decision. She will write him a letter and drop it off at the office.

And now she still has to figure out how in the hell to ask the biggest question of her life.

You liked to live by your aesthetics. You went to used book stores downtown, took polaroids of old buildings, went out of your way to a quaint little coffee shop for the feel of it. After you had gone to the bookshop, it was a habit of yours to go to the coffee shop, buy a warm drink, and read your book at a table near the window. You usually made the trip on a rainy day, for the aesthetic. You used old Polaroids as bookmarks and you wrote comments or thoughts in the margins of your book with a pink pen. The light chatter of background noise was soothing as you reread one of the Jane Austen’s. It was your first copy, therefore the most beaten up. You had always been a romantic, probably for the aesthetic. Which came first? Did your aesthetics extend from your romanticism, or did the romanticism stem from your aesthetics? It didn’t matter. All that mattered was that you loved the idea of love.
You were deeply engrossed in your book when you heard the sound of the chair across from you being pulled out. Someone sat down, but you buried your nose in the book. What would Elizabeth do? Would she accept Mr. Darcy’s love? Of course, you knew the answer, but you read the book each time like you had no idea. You just hoped that your guest would get the hint and leave you to read.
“Excuse me, I couldn’t help but notice that you’re reading Pride and Prejudice,” a smooth voice commented, and you glanced up at the boy. Your breath caught when you saw how cute he was with his curls and freckles. You almost shoved your nose into the spine of the book in nervousness. You knew you should probably say something, but you didn’t wanna mess it up. What if you accidentally offended him?
“Um, Yeah?” You managed to squeak out, and the guy smiled. He leaned closer, as if to get a peak at your face, but you were quick to bring the book back up. You fiddled with one of your polaroids to calm yourself.
“I think Mr. Darcy is a pompous prick that nowhere near deserves someone as well thought and versed as Elizabeth,” the boy stated bravely, and your switch flipped. You didn’t know how to talk to strangers about the weather, but you knew how to talk books, especially if you were defending one of your favorite romances.

Klaus x Reader

Requested by Anon

“Is Camille here?” Klaus asked you and the jolt of fear that always followed Klaus shook through you.

“Yeah um… maybe let me check.” You mumbled and hurried to the back.

It took you a moment to gather your thoughts and actually look for Camille. You didn’t want Klaus to find out your secret and you had thought living right under his nose would be the perfect way to hide from him. Or it would be if you could just keep your head long enough to find Camille.

“Klaus is looking for you!” You squeaked and she frowned, nodded as she left you alone with Sophie.

“You have to tell him!” She sighed and you franticly shook your head.

“He can hear you from here!” You reminded her and pointed to your own ears.

Void - part 1

Series summary: Reader has lost her memory and Sam and Dean try to find a way to get her life back.

Summary, part 1: Reader finds herself lost in so many ways…

Characters/pairing: Reader x Dean (eventually), Sam, Crowley, Cas

Word count: ~1800

Warnings: some (mild) angst, mild language

Author’s note: This is the first fanfic I ever wrote. It’s a ten part series. The first part introduces our heroine, so bear with me - the boys will make an appearance in part 2.

I would love to hear what you think, and if you want to be tagged in the series send me a message and I’ll try to figure out how it works. :-)

“Hi honey. What would you like?”

You lifted your eyes to the waitress waiting next to your booth. She looked like someone’s grandma with her hair on a loose bun and a friendly smile. Your mind was totally blank as you shifted your eyes between her and the menu in your hands. You had no idea what you would like. You recognized the words on the menu, knew what they meant, but none of them held any particular charm to you. Nothing made you feel anything.

Her smile faltered slightly when you didn’t say anything. “I could recommend the pancakes, they’re the best in town”, she finally suggested.

You offered her a small smile and nodded. “Okay, that sounds good.”

“And perhaps you would like something to drink? Coffee, maybe?”

You nodded again, not sure what else you could’ve done. The drink options on the menu seemed endless and not one of them sounded better than the others.

The waitress left the table and you turned to look out the window. The street was busy with people going by, minding their business. No one looked familiar and no one paid you much attention. You fidgeted in your seat and glanced around the diner. It was the same - nothing or no one stirred any memories.

You sighed and thought back to the things you did remember. You had woken up alone in a dingy motel down the street, hungry like you hadn’t eaten in days and desperately needing a shower. You had been feeling weird, agitated and lonely, scared even. It had slowly dawned on you that you had no idea how and why you had ended up where you were. You didn’t remember. You had searched the room and found a backpack and a change of clothes your size, but not much else to help you figure it out. After a long debate you had decided to take a shower and head out to find more clues to what was going on. So now you sat here, trying to think of something you could remember, but the only result of wracking your brain was a throbbing behind your eyes.

Warnings: Minor angst, a little fluff, and some fluffy and awkward smut (female receiving oral sex, fingering, losing of virginity by both male and female, brief painful sex.)

—————

You had always been considered a bit of a rebel. You had never really concerned yourself with the opinions of others or what path you were supposed to take.

After high school, everyone else was running off to college to plan their boring careers; while you thought traveling the world, working odd jobs in odd towns seemed more your style.

This week was your 10 year high school reunion. You had thought about skipping it until you saw your former best friend, Cas, was on the list of attendees. He had been one of the good little boys to choose the traditional path and you thought about the day you told him you were skipping the graduation ceremony.

Breaking Trust

You felt the impact send waves through your skull, they reverberated through your brain. Bouncing off the bone. You were falling past the ground, it seemed like the ground faded from under you. Varying shades of grey were around you and sticking out like jagged stone; but as it faded out to white you felt the familiar wrapping of silk around your body. Just as you saw the end of the gleaming fabric, one of the pieces wrapped itself around your leg and dangled you above your point of exit. You stared numbly into the light, you couldn’t see anything beyond it but you could hear something faint. “Miss, I’m going to need you to step back and leave the room! The doctor needs room to work.” It was a woman, she sounded older and frustrated. “No! Please, I need to be here with her! Y/N! Please, wake up!” Another woman said, she seemed much younger than the first and her ton was frantic. Her voice was familiar. “Damn it all! She’s drifting off! Miss L/N, do not fall back asleep!” An older male voice called. You tried to fight the silk and reach out towards the voices but it was no use. The silk raised you up as you struggled and flung you the way you fell. You flew through the air, past the white, past the rocks and into the light you came from.

Your eyes shot open as you gasped for air. You were laying on some kind of couch and you felt the warmth and light from a fire nearby.

“Well, at least you’re finally up.” A female voice said curtly. You looked around to see a woman standing by a door. Her clothes were similar to yours, only her bodice was orange and had longer sleeves. “Honestly, you’re lucky to be alive at all. If Mr. Burr had not seen your horse, you would certainly be dead.” Mr. Burr? Her voice was cold, her hair, skin and eyes all matched that tone. Icy.

“Where am I?” You asked as your frantically sat up. She chuckled at your panic.

“I shall inform Mr. Burr of your current status. Wait here.” She ordered you and walked out of the room. What the hell happened? The last thing I remember… You touched the left side of your face and winced. You felt some sort of bandage along your left temple and although you couldn’t see it, you could feel how bruised your face was. There were footsteps coming toward the door so you stood up, you still felt a bit dizzy but you quickly steady yourself. In walked in a familiar man, dark skin, wearing a deep purple and a pleasant smile.

“I see that you are awake. What was your name? Titania, was it?” He asked.

“M-Mr. Burr, sir! Um, that’s what I am called yes?” Am I lying? He nodded and sensed your confusion about the situation.

“I heard a commotion outside my door at sun rise and saw a horse with gear standing on my lawn. I recognized it as belonging to Mr. Hamilton and decided I should send it back to his estate but it was acting rather strange.  It kept moving away from me whenever I approached and, although it was probably foolish for to think it, it seemed to want to show me something. Low and behold you were not even a twenty meters from my home. I brought you back and called for a doctor, you had a terrible head wound but he said that you would wake up soon. Luckily he was correct, the sun has just only begun to set.” He explained. That’s crazy! Seriously universe? Why do you have to be such a bitch to me?!

“I don’t know what to say… Thank you, Mr. Burr! You really saved my life! I don’t know how I can thank you enough let alone repay you for this!”

“No need for thanks, I couldn’t just leave you out to die now could I? And in terms of repayment, I shall talk with Alexander about that.” Talk with Alex…Fuck… He’s not supposed to know about what happened! And hell I’ve already caused them enough trouble, why do I have to be like this?! He’s going to have to pay money for my idiocy! Ugh! He could read your disappointment as if you were actually saying it to him.

“Is something the matter?” He asked. Fuck.

“No, no, no, no, no! That’s perfectly fine! It’s just… I don’t exactly like having other people pay my debts but I suppose I’ll have to just live with it.” This is going to be bad when they get back… He closed his eyes like he was thinking about something. You couldn’t read his expression at all, which was something that Alex frequently complained about him. He was elusive.

“I have a proposition for you then, Miss Titania.” What?

“A proposition?” You asked.

“My wife you see, has fallen quite ill and we are a bit short of staff. I am aware that the Hamiltons are up town for the winter. Perhaps, while they are away, you could lend your services to help around here.” He offered.

“Seriously? Thank you so much, Mr. Burr! I just really don’t want to cause any problems for Alex and I’ll work really hard to make sure my debt is paid-“ He shushed you.

“Talk less.” Wait, what? “I will take that as a yes, however there are some rules you must follow.”

“Oh, um, of course.”

“Things are done very differently around here than at Alexander’s. You are at the Burr estate now and you must behave as such. Based on how you have worked at the Hamilton’s I can tell that your personality is rather… loud. That will not be the case while you are with me. Talk less, smile more. That is how you shall operate. You will be expected to hold a demeanor of calm and collectiveness at all times. I will not tolerate anything less, is that clear?” You were surprised by how serious he was while speaking to you, you were actually taken aback. I suppose not everything could be as accepting as it is with them… Even with the terms being so out of character for you, you knew you had to try. So you agreed to the conditions.

That night you were given back your horse and set out for the estate. You felt slightly uncomfortable with having to ride again after what happened but it was your only option. You were going to be a maid for the Burr’s and would have to leave at dawn every morning to get there on time for work. You got back home, led the horse back to the stables and went inside. You hastily prepared a fire to ward off the chill in your bones. You weren’t sure why but you didn’t have a good feeling about this.

Dear Starlight,

It already feels as though I have been away from you a century, has it truly only been a month and a half since I have seen you? I miss you, I miss our conversations, I miss your lectures, I miss your voice, your spirit, your passion. I miss it all, everything down to the way you hold a teacup as though it could fall apart in your hands. It is very quiet uptown; I do not think I like the quiet though. It feels empty and, dare I say, a bit lonely without you by my side to share your thoughts on this world we live in. Everyone else misses you as well. Father and Mother have been telling Grandfather all about you, he seems to find you quite charming. Angelica says that studying is becoming a bore without you there to give her alternative methods of remembering her work. Even Alexander, James and John seem quite withdrawn; specifically, they long for one of your fairytales. I have no idea what they are talking about but it has something to do with a fruit that can show you everything you desire? Or was it about gaining knowledge from it? It sounds fascinating, then again, everything about you intrigues me. It is surprising to think that it has not even been an entire year since our first meeting, I feel as though I have known you my entire life. Although since we are on a similar subject, I have some rather exciting news. My birthday is next week! I shall be turning sixteen, soon enough I will no longer be considered a boy but instead a young man. However, I only care about that title when it comes to you. Your wit and luminosity may suggest you consider me an equal. Yet, does that mean your heart sees me as such? I wish not to be considered a child in thine eyes, a boy who becomes as red as a blooming rose over his frivolous romanticized fantasies. I do not think the word ‘different’ quite fits how I see you, perhaps extraordinary would be a better term? You are not like any of the other maidens I have encountered; you are bold, utterly silly and stubborn in every wondrous way. You are the brightest star is the sky, the North Star. Others gaze upon you and wonder where you shall lead them, while I can only hope that you will take pity on a soul deprived of your love, a soul left completely helpless. I see your eyes and smile in the night sky, Lord knows that I have prayed. I have prayed that you will leave your celestial heaven and keep beside me. Is it not embarrassing? Even on paper I cannot articulate what I am feeling without becoming muddled. Perhaps it is best if I wait to express myself when I meet you at the end of February. Until then ma cherié, please do not forget to write. I know you must be busy as to not have the time to write but that shall not stop my own writing tendencies, your words bring me more joy than you could possibly imagine.

Sincerely yours,

P. Ham, your sunshine.

Your mind and your heart were telling you two distinctly different things by the time you finished reading Philip’s letter. Why does everything have to be so complicated?! You held your head in your hands, trying to decide what to do next. It’s been two weeks since you started to work for Aaron Burr and to say you hated it would an understatement. You’ve never felt so restricted in your entire life, it was huge reality check for you. Not everything could be all feminism and modern like it was with Alexander. Proper etiquette hangs over your head constantly, you never expected Burr to be as uptight as he is. It isn’t all bad though, Mrs. Burr is actually quite lovely. She tells you many stories of her younger days when she’s well enough to speak cohesively. Honestly, the best times were when she was awake, it always gave you the chance to take a breather from Aaron. He wants to be by her side as often as time allows, he acts like a completely different person around her. He’s happy. That doesn’t last too long though, and Sarah doesn’t help much either. Sarah was the maid that was ‘by your side’ when you awoke at the Burr estate. She’s kind of, maybe, the worst person. She frequently taunts you for the position you’re in and tries to accuse you because of your relationship with the Hamilton’s. “I know what you did, who knew a man would actually defend his whore.” When you asked her what she was trying to imply she said. “I wonder how the son reacted to learn that his whore was also his father’s. I believe I would pay to see such an encounter!” No matter how many times you try to convince her of the truth, she just shuts you down and claims that a prostitute will do anything to hide her sins. First of all, I’ll do what I damn well please with my body! Second of all, I DID NOT have an affair with Alexander! Seriously, I thought this whole situation was over! You didn’t have time to read the letter before you had to leave for work, so you took it with you. You heard footsteps from beyond the door you were behind and quickly hid the letter in your bodice. You stood up from where you were sitting at the dining room table, taking your spare cloth off of your apron and using it to wipe the table. You know, to make it seem like you were working even though there was nothing to clean yet. Sarah, cold looking as ever, came bursting in.

“Good morning, Miss Home Wrecker. I will be taking care of Lady Burr today, which means you will be in charge of everything else for the day. I suggest you be on your best behavior, or else you shall receive quite a tongue lashing from Mr. Burr… Although you probably want that!” She snorted as she left you alone to fester in your anger. Fuck you too, Sarah! Okay Y/N, calm down. It’s only for another five or so weeks. I can do this! Just put on your best smile and suck it up, buttercup! You took a deep breath and left to take your normal rounds. Things were going relatively smoothly, at least until mid-day approached.

You heard a carriage drawing into the ‘driveway’ as you started to call it. Ugh, a visitor… Normally, you wouldn’t mind having to greet a visitor, but you haven’t had to deal with any of Burr’s guest yet. You weren’t excited. Nevertheless, you did what you were taught, you walked over to the door and smiled sweetly. You heard footsteps and you opened the door, closing your eyes to block out the brightness from the light hitting the snow outside.

“Welcome to the Burr estate! What may I do for you today?” You asked in a bubbly voice.

“Well I’ll be damned.” Oh no. Please let it be a hallucination! Please let it be a hallucination! You slowly opened your eyes and to no surprise the first thing you see is a bright color. Magenta. The whole image started to fade in, Thomas Jefferson, in all his horridness, was standing in front of you. On top of that, you had to greet him with a smile and give him hospitality. I’d rather shut the door in his face… You bit your tongue and moved out of the way for him so that he could enter. “Well, well, well, Miss Titania! I would never guess I would find you here. What brings you? I thought Hamilton was away for the winter?” He gave you a mischievous grin as you shut the door behind him.

“Simply working, nothing worthy of noting.” You said through gritted teeth. He chuckled, but before he could retort, Burr’s voice echoed from the nearby staircase.

“Hello Thomas, forgive me but my wife is awake at the moment so I must focus on her. Miss Taylor, please make him some tea.” Can I pour the tea on him?! You nodded to the demand, you couldn’t exactly say no. You turned and began to walk towards the dining room.

“Take a seat, I’ll be back with your tea shortly.” You lashed, obviously annoyed. He smiled, but he didn’t sit down.

“Actually, I would much rather follow you. I hate not having company and personally, I’d say you make some pretty fine company.” He raised his eyebrows up slightly. This bitch… You shot him a thin smile and turned to walk into the kitchen, rolling your eyes as he trailed behind you. You began the tea preparations, hoping that he would at least give you the pleasure of not speaking. You were not granted that pleasure.

“How have you been Miss Titania?” He asked, your back turned to him.

“Fine.” You said insipidly. You began to heat up the water and turned to find Jefferson a few feet away from you.

“That’s a rather noxious injury you’ve got there.” He pointed and traced out in the air the slight crescent shape from the stitching on your left temple. You covered it up with your hand. “May I ask how that happened?” He asked with curiosity in his brown eyes, you spoke as you walked past him to grab the tea box.

“It seems that I am no equestrian, Mr. Jefferson.” You said with dun. He clicked his tongue.

“I see.” After that, things went silent for a moment. You got out the teapot and made the tea, now all that was left was for you to set up the tray and cups, you assumed Burr would join him shortly. You set the tray down, picked out he saucers, the cream and sugar as well. You grabbed one of the tea cups with both hands, careful not to drop it and as you picked up the second one, Thomas spoke up.

“How has Philip been recently.”

Crack, shatter, puncture, warm.

Some glass fragments from the delicate cup began to trickle from your seizing hands, the pieces digging into your palms. You whipped your head around, shock was etched into his features and it only grew deeper when he saw the burning hatred on your own.

“Don’t ever! You do not have the right to ask me about him after what you did! You made him hate me! Even if it was only for a day, it killed me! You do not deserve the grace of hearing his effulgent name, let alone say it!” You spat, you had had enough. You couldn’t hold back anymore, you were tumultuous. You felt like crying, screaming, and being sick all at the same time. He doesn’t deserve to know how wonderful that family is! He almost ruined them! He threw his hands up to show peace.

“Whoa, perhaps it would be best to calm down.” He said in an oddly soothing voice. You wanted to yell, don’t tell me to calm down! But you realized something.

The cup

You opened your hands and the rest of the glass fell to the floor, there were tiny cuts on your hands and blood prickled out from the ends but that’s not what you cared about. Fuck! You crouched down onto the ground and frantically began to pick up the pieces, gathering them up in your apron cloth to hold them.

“No, no, no, no! Burr’s going to kill me!” You spoke breathlessly and then a voice you really didn’t want to hear.

“Why am I going to kill you?” Burr asked dryly. He looked down at what you were doing, his expression blank. You hated that look, it made you even more fearful than most things. The idea that he could be thinking of anything and you wouldn’t know terrified you enough as it was. But now it was directed at you. You were about to apologize, try to convince him it was an accident and that you were sorry but you were interrupted.

“I dropped my cup, you know me Burr, my senses are never quite right when I’m around a pretty lady! I’ll pay for it, don’t worry about it!” Jefferson laughed. What? What’s he doing? Burr sighed and shook his head, rubbing his temples, which he commonly did when he was stressed.

“Seriously, Thomas? You can’t stop your womanizing for even a second? Well… It’s not the good china so I suppose no harm was done. I came in here to tell you that we shall head to the cabinet in a moment, I just have to get properly dressed first. It’ll only be a moment. Taylor, please clean up this mess.” He said as he turned and left the two of you alone once more. You quickly gathered up the rest of the glass and stood up, making sure it wouldn’t fall out of the sides of your apron, the edges you holding lightly between your fingers. You turned to look at Jefferson.

“Why…? Why did you cover for me?” You were dumbfounded, he took a deep breath.

“I know how Burr can be, it was honestly just better to say that I did it. Besides, I’m not a scoundrel all the time you know?” You disposed of the glass as he stepped closer to you. He was only a foot away from you by the time you noticed, he held out his hand.

“May I see your hands?” He asked calmly. You reluctantly showed him your hands, he held one in each of his and inspected them closely. “Hm, you should be alright. Clean them up, use a cloth to stop the bleeding and if anyone asks, tell them you slipped on the ice outside.” He instructed, you nodded along, still a bit confused.

“Why would you help me? Don’t you hate me or what I stand for or something?” He sighed at your question.

“Listen, I will admit that my accusations were under a false pretense, that I apologize for. I wasn’t asking you about Philip to be antagonizing, I was genuinely curious. I talked to James a while back and he told me about what you said. ‘I don’t care about my name’ All you care about is everyone else’s wellbeing. You could say it put things into perspective for me. Why would a whore care about her ‘lover’ and not have it be about money? Why would Hamilton write an entire pamphlet to protect the dignity of one mistress but incriminate the other? It doesn’t make sense, unless I’m wrong and that you truly had nothing to do with it. It was presumptuous of me, and for that I am very sorry. When it comes to Philip however, I am rather close to Angelica and we have discussed the two of you the recently. So do not worry, I get it.” He let go of your hands and gave you a soft smile, walking past you towards the exit into the dining room. “I should meet with Burr, perhaps I shall meet with you again in the future, Titania? It would be a real shame to not see your pretty face again. Au revoir, mademoiselle.” He waved goodbye to you with that same grin on his face. What just happened? Is he not an asshole 24/7? You were left to stew in your questions for a bit, but you eventually followed the directions he gave you, pushing the questions to the back of your mind. Which then made new questions form.

What am I going to do when they get back?

Take Care Of You Part 2

Lots of fluff, things will get more exciting with the others in the next part! I’ll update my master list in the morning! Also just wondering if I have any male readers? Please let me know, because I have few questions for them!

I tie my hair up in a bun, groaning as I have to change into one of the uniforms in the back. A few curls escape but I’m in too much of a rush to care at the moment. With a pen and a note pad I rush back into the seating area. All the tables are full for some reason today, high schoolers and office workers fill the spots at every low table. I glance at the clock, 4:30, I still have a few hours before I have to get over there. With a big smile I approach my first table, I greet them politely, kneeling next to the table I get each of their orders before heading back to the kitchen to fill it.

I glide through the tea house with my tray in my hand, something I’ve done 1000s of times before, serving, clearing and setting, and repeat. I’m in a flow, helping the other servers with their tables when mine are content, it isn’t until I get my next table that I start to falter. Sitting cross legged at the table is Minseok, and he does not look one bit happy. I briefly consider pawning it off on of the other servers when our eyes lock and I know I have no other option. With my head hung like a child who was caught doing something wrong, I shuffle over to his table and kneel down beside him.

Masterlist / Prompt List

It was obnoxiously stereotypical. Falling in love at a coffee shop. Honest to God, you were annoyed with yourself the first day it happened.

Coffee shop boy. Ridiculously beautiful coffee shop boy. Always-smiling-too-big coffee shop boy. Remembered-your-order coffee shop boy. Make-your-heart-beat-too-quickly coffee shop boy.

Walking into the lecture hall, you were still blushing. He had complimented your earrings.

“Hey! No drive through today?”

“You shrugged, “It was nice out. I figured I’d walk to class.”

“Same as usual?” He asked, already moving to get a cup. Heat surfacing at your cheeks, you nodded.

Please,” you added as he swept around the counter.

“You said class. Are you at Wesleyan?”

“Yeah,” you said quietly, your morning voice already failing you. Clearing your throat, you continued, “I’m getting my masters right now.”

“Sweet!” He said, looking up at you. “I’m studying theater there.”

“You’re an actor?” You asked.

He nodded, still facing you. He was leaning on the counter, “Sort of. Writing too.”

Turning around for a moment, he cursed lightly. “We don’t have any caramel left,” he said, biting his lip slightly.

You coughed awkwardly, “Uh, just don’t add it, I guess.” You said as more of a question.

He shrugged before grinning again. The smile took up his whole face. He shook his head, “Can I make you something different?”

You furrowed your eyebrows before he continued, “Trust me. It’ll be good.” You nodded, giving him all the confirmation he needed before he scrapped the cup of coffee he originally had. He worked briskly, pumping in shots of who knows what but it smelt good before it was even in your hands.

“What is it?” You asked, gratefully accepting the cup.

“Mocha toffee latte with almond milk.” You sighed as you took a first sip, making him grin that same stupid grin.

“This is delicious,” you added.

He laughed, “Don’t ask anyone else for it - they won’t make it as good.”

You nodded, “I won’t.”

“I’ll see you tomorrow, yeah?” He asked, making you nod again. (You had to stop nodding.)

Then you laughed, reaching into your backpack, “I haven’t even paid yet.”

He scoffed, “Please. You insult me.”

This made you smile, “You don’t have to do that.”

Did he ever stop smiling? “I’m happy to.”

You nodded. Again. Taking a step towards the door you thanked him again. It wasn’t until you had turned the corner that you realized you hadn’t even looked at his name tag. His lazy grin too preoccupying.

You took your seat and you shook your head. This was ridiculous; focusing on a boy you didn’t even know. Still, each time you sipped the coffee, your heart was back in your stomach.

You continued to go to that same coffee shop for a week before he finally did it. It had taken a lot of convincing from his good friend, Chris, but he finally did it.

You had learned that his name was Lin and he had figured yours after making you a new latte each morning. You had started to feel guilty - him giving you so many free drinks. So you continued to stuff five dollar bills into the tip jar. He would grin and thank you.

But it was Monday and so when you came strolling through the cafe. You had stopped driving. He was too captivating and you couldn’t watch him work from the car.

“Morning, Y/N!” He chirped, despite the knot in his stomach.

You offered a small smile, leaning over the counter on your forearms.

“What’s on the menu today?” You asked, craning your neck to see what he was up to.

He shrugged, “You’ll see.” He was making his favorite drink for you. And today, Chris had made him promise to get your number. Or give you his. He figured the latter would be easier, and at least that way he wouldn’t have to deal with rejection. Maybe it would sting less if you never called or…

Grabbing a sharpie from his apron, he scribbled his number onto the side of the cup before handing it to you.

Instantly, you asked, “What’s this?”

“Dark roast with -“

“No, this.” You smiled, pointing to the numbers on the side of the cup.

He could feel his heart drop, “It’s um… M-my number. I’m so sorry, I don’t know what I was thinking. I just thought you - no I have no idea what I was doing. Why did I do that? I’m so sorry -“ he reached for the cup, but you took a step away.

“You could’ve just asked for my number,” you giggled, sipping the coffee. Shit, this was good. Maybe your favorite.

He looked deadpan, “Wait, what?”

“Your coffee is good, but it’s not the reason I come here every morning,” you giggled. This wasn’t like you. You never flirted quite so liberally, let alone with someone you barely knew.

Still, the instant that stupid grin broke out on his face, you couldn’t help but feel warm all over. Maybe it was the coffee. (It wasn’t the coffee.)

“I’ll call you, yeah?” You said, stepping towards the door. He looked overwhelmed, but joyful.

Nodding quickly, he waved. “Yeah, I’ll um, see you. Have a good one, Y/N.” He grinned.

You walked outside, holding the coffee tight to your chest. You were burning. Everything about you felt fluttery.

And you did. Call him, that is. First it was texting; simple, trivial, mindless. But then you saw him the next morning at he wasn’t wearing his apron or behind the counters, he was rushing in behind you.

“Y/N,” he beamed. Then his face dropped, “I’m very late.”

You laughed, “I noticed.”

“Can I make it up to you?”

“More free coffee?”

He scoffed, the grin still on his face, “Maybe something other than coffee to drink?” At this point, Lin was running down a hill - his words moving faster than his brain could tell them to stop.

You nodded. You were always nodding around him.

“Friday?” He asked.

You nodded.

He called you that night. It started out as plans, but it quickly became something different.

“Where are you taking me, Mr. Miranda?”

You could hear him smiling, “There is a band performing at Joe’s. I figured we could dance and then get ice cream?”

You nodded before realizing he couldn’t see you, “I like that.”

“Then it’s settled. Now tell me: how’d the chem test go?”

The two of you talked for too long. Well, with him it really wasn’t too long. You could talk for hours with him, and he could too. Lin talked circles around you. Lazy, comforting circles. And God, did you listen. Everything about him was so captivating that you couldn’t help but just listen

“Am I boring you?” He asked softly at midnight.

You smiled into the phone, “I love listening to you.”

He laughed, “Go to sleep.”

You sighed this time, “Call me tomorrow?”

“It’ll be like I never hung up.”

Friday took too long to get there. But when it did, you were thrilled. Everything about you burned as you walked down the stairs of the apartment complex to get to him.

Lin was striking. At first, he looked harder outside of the cafe. Maybe it was the lack of warm black sweaters and green apron. Regardless, the second he saw you, the smile on his face broke free, and Lin looked like himself again.

Clad in a low cut blue dress, you felt slightly self conscience. He was animated and stunning. The dress was elaborate, and to be completely honest you weren’t sure you could pull it off. His grin erased any doubt you had.

Taking in a sharp breath, he shook his head, “I swear, you get more beautiful every time I see you.” He was fidgeting, like he was looking for an excuse to touch you. Blushing, you rolled your eyes, brushing your hand against his as you walked along side of him. He took your hand before you even made it through the door.

“Who’s playing at Joe’s?” You asked.

Lin shrugged, turning to face you. God, he was handsome. You had to remind your roommate how handsome he was later.

“A buddy of mine’s band is playing. It might be awful,” he added.

You squeezed his hand as you laughed, “The Wiggles could be playing. I’m just happy to spend time with you outside of Starbucks.”

Lin turned away as red painted his cheeks. He pulled you closer so that your arms brushed as you walked side by side. He kept stealing glances at you. You pretended not to notice. Maybe for his sake, but probably because if you looked at him, that same dumb grin would make you drop.

The band was good. Not great, but you didn’t mind. Honestly, you were happy to be sitting along side Lin. After the show, he had taken you to a frozen yogurt shop, arguing with you as to whether or not it was actually ice cream.

Sitting down, he explained that Starbucks wasn’t his only job. You knew he was a writer, but he also substituted for and English class in Washington Heights.

“Is that what you want to do?” You asked. “Teach?”

He shook his head, “I thought for a while that maybe I did, but then writing kind of became my think. And music just made it so much better.”

“What do you mean?”

“Musicals,” he responded sheepishly.

Begging him to explain, Lin finally told you about the musical he was writing.

“You’re going to think it’s stupid.”

You scoffed, “Everything that has come out of your mouth has been brilliant. I highly doubt this will be anything less.”

“I’m writing a rap/hip hop musical about the first Secretary of Treasure, Alexander Hamilton.”

It had started out as just the plot of it, but had turned into a full blown synopsis as he continued. You sat on every last word, assuring him that you were anything but bored. As he explained the final part, you couldn’t help yourself.

“You’re a fucking genius,” you blurted out. You screwed your eyes shut, embarrassed.

Lin scratched the back of his neck, “Says the girl getting who her masters in every science known to man.”

You laughed, placing your hand on his knee. “Fine, we’re both brilliant.” His smile broke out, always too big for his face. You almost wanted to make it stop, because if anyone else saw that smile, they could take him from you. Almost. Because then there was his eyes, so full yet unbelievably warm.

Checking your phone, you sighed. “I should probably head home.”

He scrapped the last of his ice cream up before nodding. “Let me call you a cab.”

You laughed, “I can walk.” He shook his head, making you roll your eyes.

“Nah.” He smiled. A stupid, lopsided, too big smile, and your insides fluttered.

You sighed, but nodded. He whistled for a cab, standing so close you could almost feel his breath. His air was hot - but then again, so was everything about him.

He took your hand before you got in the cab, “Can we do this again?”

You giggled, “Every day coffee isn’t enough?”

Lin threw his head back, but the smile on his face was contempt. “24 hours with you isn’t enough.”

You could quite literally feel your stomach disintegrate. Everything about him happened in your stomach. Or maybe your heart. But then again, that was in your stomach too after the first time you had met him.

“When can I see you again?” Lin was bouncing on the balls of his feet, like he couldn’t stay still.

“How about Monday?”

“Lunch?” He grinned. You nodded. (Of course.)

As you turned towards the cab, he reached for your hand. Pressing his lips to your knuckles, he grinned. You couldn’t tell if it was the smile or the kiss that made you feel so warm. Maybe both. Probably both. Definitely both.

“Until next time,” he said, your hand falling to your side.

“Until next time,” you agreed. You hadn’t moved into the cab, still. Your entire body was in motion, yet you couldn’t bring yourself to move.

Lin was bouncing still, biting his bottom lip. His eyes flicked from your eyes to your lips. He opened his mouth to say something, but the cab honked before he had a chance, breaking both of your stillness.

Blushing, you cupped his face, kissing the side of his cheek.

“Until next time,” you said again, climbing into the cab. Lin waved, the same stupid smile on his face. God, that smile could stop wars.

Lin took you to an aquarium a week later. He took an excessive amount of photos, each one making you giggle.

“Lin!” You laughed, “Stop taking photos!”

He shrugged, snapping another photo of you in front of the beluga whales. His silly grin was light on his lips. “I can’t help it. You’re so beautiful.”

You felt a blush cover the bridge of your nose. He couldn’t just say things like this. It wasn’t fair.

“Hey,” Lin hummed, tugging your hand lightly. Your head went up to him. His eyes were soft. You took a breath, the left of your lip curling into a smile.

His eyes flickered down to your lips and you felt yours flutter. You let out a shaky breath as he pulled you a little closer.

A little boy ran between your legs, breaking the two of you apart. He was giggling and pointing to a whale as it swam past. His mother came quickly, lightly scolding him for running so quickly.

Lin looked down at his feet, screwing his eyes shut. You could just about feel the embarrassed. Regardless, he pulled you close, wrapping an arm around your shoulder, still holding your hand.

Dios mio,” he sighed, pressing his lips to your hair as he steered you towards the penguins.

Three days later, you met for lunch. He took you for soup and sandwiches, but both of you ended up getting cheeseburgers. He stole your fries while you told him everything he wanted to hear.

Lin asked about your parents, your school, your friends, hell - he asked about your shitty job.

Everything was easy with him. Not that it wasn’t a complex relationship - God, everything he said was brilliant. Just… It was so comfortable. He was comfortable. And you would bathe in that comfort.

You ate some of your burger as he told you about something his sister used to say. You had to bite back a laugh as your mouth was full. You reached for your napkin, to wipe your mouth. Before you could, however, Lin already had his thumb on the corner of your lips, brushing away a stray crumb.

You swore your heart stopped. You turned away to hide the blush that spread across your cheeks. Lin chuckled at this, taking another bite of his burger.

“What?” He laughed, awe coloring his tone. He nudged your knee against his own.

“You make me nervous,” you giggled.

“If I make you nervous, you make me catatonic,” he shot back quickly.

You laughed, “It’s not my fault you’re so hot.”

Lin threw his head back. You shrugged, taking another bite of your burger. He was.

He walked you back to your office. He held you for a moment longer before pulling away slightly.

Smiling at you, his stupid smile, his eyes flickered down to your lips for a moment. Hesitating before looking back, he faltered for a moment.

“Thank you for lunch,” you said, eyes locked with his. This was your third date.

Lin smiled, ducking his head to connect his lips with your cheek.

“Can I see you tomorrow?” He asked, taking a step back. He looked unsure, but you nodded anyways.

“Bye, Lin.”

“I’ll see you soon, Y/N,” he said, starting to walk away backwards. He almost walked into a lamppost, making you giggle. You waved a little before turning towards your building, a little pep in your step.

Two days later he took you out to dinner. It was one of those dinners that made you nervous because you just knew it was going to be ridiculously expensive.

You tried to talk him out of it over the phone as you walked down to see him in the lobby.

“I would be okay with cuddling upstairs on my couch and ordering a pizza,” you said.

You could practically hear his smile in response, “Just trust me. You’re going to love this place.”

Which of course you did. The food was amazing, but it didn’t even compare to the look on his face when he saw you in that dress.

“My eyes are up here,” you quipped at one point with a wink. Lin flushed a cherry shade, sputtering out apologies.

You squeezed his hand, far too proud that you had such an effect on him.

The conversation, per usual, flowed without interruption. Everything he said brought a smile to your face. Plus, the fact that he look so fine in a suit definitely helped.

You almost forgot where you were as you laughed so hard, he had to shush you, despite his own giggles.

You grinned at him, undeniably joyful. This was your former Starbucks barista. And here he was, treating you to a dinner that costed much more than a Starbucks salary could afford. So when the check finally came, you were in the middle of explaining why you were elected class president in fifth grade.

You and Lin reached for it at the same time.

“I’m paying,” you said immediately in unison. Lin laughed and took the check, instantly sliding his card into it before handed it back to the waiter.

“Lin,” you sighed.

He laughed, “Nah.”

You rolled your eyes, “I get the next one.”

He shrugged before repeating, “Nah.”

“No next one?” You teased.

Lin’s eyes went wide and he reached across the table, “Yes next one, nah you’re not paying.”

You scoffed, but still took hold of his hand.

He walked you to your door this time instead of just dropping you off in the lobby. It was the first time he had come up. You were about to invite him in when he abruptly said, “I have to ask you something.”

You took a deep breath. Had you done something? Was he about to cut this off? No - he said he wanted a next time. Maybe he changed his mind?”

“So, uh… We’ve been hanging out a lot and I just I really like you a lot and I think that we should keep hanging out because you mean a lot to me and now I’m rambling but -“

“Lin,” you giggled, making him take a breath.

He sighed, taking a step closer to you. “Will you be my girlfriend?”

You felt like you were back in seventh grade with your heart doing cartwheels. You nodded, “Yes yes yes.“

Lin smiled is stupid, too-big smile and took a step closer, this time only a breath away.

His eyes flashed to your lips. Then, slowing leaning down, he pressed his mouth ever so gently to yours. After a beat, he pulled away, searching your face for who knows what. The air was thick with desperation for another kiss as he grinned, leaning down again to press his lips to yours. He backed you up a step against your front door, hands cupping your face. His tongue tasting yours as he weaved his fingers through your hair. Were lips usually this soft? You could feel his dopey smile against your mouth as he molded his lips to yours. Gripping the lapels of his jacket, you pulled him closer, losing any and all space between you too.

After that night, Lin stopped asking if he would see you tomorrow. It was never, Can I see you tomorrow? Or, What are you doing tomorrow? It was When? and Where?

All your old boyfriends spoke to you in their free time. Lin freed his time to speak to you. And you had never felt so warm.

Months past and Lin had gotten his Hamilton grant. He was in the workshop stages of it but nothing made you smile quite as much as seeing him walking into your apartment humming his favorite song of the day. These days, he spent more time at your place than he did his own.

It was a normal day and you were bringing him coffee. It was humorous, really. He used to be the one making your coffee. Walking into the theater, you found him sitting next to a very pretty girl. An intimidatingly pretty girl.

Karen Olivo, Lin introduced her as.

“His ex,” she said, sticking her hand out.

She clung to him the rest of the day, making you feel like you were third wheeling with your own boyfriend. When he walked through the door, you were pacing the floor.

“You’re making a tread,” he said calmly, hanging his jacket over a chair.

“Were you in love?” You asked, stopping suddenly.

“What?” He asked, cautiously taking a step towards you.

“You and Karen. Were you in love?”

He paused before nodding. “Desperately,” he said, abashed but not ashamed. He ran a had through his hair.

“Oh.” You said.

“But she was another time, another world,” he said, taking your hands. You nodded, looking away. “Y/N,” he sighed. You nodded. You still wouldn’t face him; if you did you were sure you’d start to cry. You couldn’t compete with Karen - God, she was stunning. She was talented. She was his first. What is she was his first too? Even more nauseous at the thought of this, you took your hand back.

“Y/N,” he said again, this time sharper.

Your eyebrows raised. Was he honestly freaking out over this? You had every reason to be upset. She was his past.

He rolled his eyes. Were you honestly freaking out over this? He had every reason to be upset. She is in the past.

“Whatever,” you snapped, crossing your arms over your chest.

“Don’t get so defensive!” He quipped.

Your jaw dropped, “I’m not defensive!”

“You’re screaming at me over nothing!”

“Are you kidding me? I’m freaking out over your ex who clearly wants to be more than that!”

He rolled his eye, standing up, “Call me when you’re done acting like this.” Instantly, he regretted it, his eyes soft the second he opened them. You had already turned away.

“Y/N…” he sighed, closing his eyes and willing the tears to go away.

You scoffed despite the burning you felt, “I’ll call you when I’m done acting like this,” you mocked.

Lin tried to reach for your hand but you snatched it away before he could.

“Don’t,” you said, turning to face him. Bitterness soaks your tone as you continued, “Just leave me alone for a while.” You tried to sound strong, but your voice cracked before you even finished your sentence.

Lin’s nose was red but he nodded and walked towards the door.

“I’ll talk to you soon…” He mumbled, softly shutting the door behind him. The tears streamed down his eyes as he did so. “What did I do?” He groaned, sliding down the wall opposite your door. For the first time in the six months since Lin met you, his stupid smile was wiped from his face. His heart broke a little more with each soft sob he heard from across the hallway.

You stayed on the couch, letting each sob rack your body. You shouldn’t be this involved, it wasn’t like you were engaged. Hell, you two had only been dating for four months or so. Then why did your heart hurt so terribly?

After nearly an hour of wallowing in self pity, you stood up. You were overreacting. He told you they were just friends, so God, just believe him and move on.

You wiped a few stray tears away, sniffling before throwing your hair into a pony tail. You were going to - buzz, buzz. moving towards your pager, you held down the button.

“UPS package for a Ms. Y/N L/N?” You heard through the speaker.

You sighed, “I’ll be down. Thank you.”

You screwed your eyes shut. They were swollen from crying. God, you had to call Lin. You had to apologize and tell them you loved him and -

Opening the door, you saw him. Curled onto the floor with his knees up and his head between them. Your heart fell.

“I’m an idiot,” Lin said as he lifted his head to you. His hair was flopping over he face.

You shook your head, falling into his arms. “I am so ALSDKFJALSDJ sorry,” you breathed into his neck. He held you tight, pressing hot kisses to your hair.

You pulled way to look at him, cupping his face in your hands.

“I am so beyond myself when I am with you,” you said, pulling him closer. He shut in eyes, a smile on his lips. “And I am so in love with you.“

He shook his head slightly, his damn grin making your stomach flip.

“You are everything, and God, I am in love with you.” He said before pressing his lips to yours.

“Well, thank you…for painting them on the walls-” you stood up- “I’m gonna try and get some sleep.”

You started to walk away towards the couch when Dean grabbed your wrist.

“Stay.” he said. You made eye contact and smiled before you climbed up onto the bed. You laid down while Dean shut the lamp off. Moments later you felt his arm wrap around your waist and pull you in close. Your back to his chest.

“I hope this is okay?” he asked you.

You snuggled into him even more, hummed a mhmm, and fell asleep.

When you woke up the next morning, it took you a minute to figure out where you were. You squinted as the sun hit your face. You rolled over to see Dean, snoring away, cuddling a pillow. You sat up, looking to the other bed and finding it empty.

Just as you stood up, the door opened, and in walked Sam, coffee and breakfast in tow.

“Mornin’,” you mumbled.
