why do i have such a type why why why

So I remember reading somewhere that Misha getting on this dude’s lap was unscripted.

The dude who he’s sitting on seems slightly mortified like he’s not sure what to do or where to look.

The woman right behind them is staring out of the corner of her eye, but trying not to stare because Misha is apparently still delivering lines and no one has stopped the scene yet.

And then one guy on the left is just full on staring and laughing because WTF Misha?

Idk why but I really want a lowkey kind of comedy about a kid who studies hardcore all the time because she’s sure she’s a Ravenclaw and it’s her favorite house but then she gets sorted into Hufflepuff and is like??? Wtf???

And a kid who is Sure they’re a Hufflepuff because they’re really good at finding things when they go out exploring but then they’re sorted into Ravenclaw and they’re like um no??? I suck at math?? I can’t get into the common room because riddles are mean??

And then the two of them become friends and are just disgruntled together while being completely oblivious as to why they were sorted into their houses and this honestly isn’t even a fun idea I just want to see it for some reason??

“Yeah I just don’t understand why I was sorted into Ravenclaw”

“What’s that on your desk”

“Just my rock collection, I have 67 different types”

And

“I’m Not a Hufflepuff, I studied for eight years to get into Ravenclaw”

“Wow that must’ve been a lot of hard work”

“It was”

Any line from Ed Sheeran's perfect? Drarry, pretty please with a chocolate fudge on top?

Okay, this isn’t strictly part of the list but hell, it’s @antique-moonglade and it’s Sheeran ❤️

A piece of wood in the hearth emits a long, hiss, spitting loudly and startling the tightly wound mound of fur out of its doze. Glaring at the merrily cracking fire, Victoria gets up, stretching long and high, pure white fur standing on end for a moment, before slowly stalking over to the unoccupied armchair, answering Harry’s soft chirp with a sullen meow before hopping up, curling in on herself and settling back down.

Draco’s glasses are perched so far down the bridge of his nose that they threaten to slip right off the upturned tip and into the book in his lap. Not that it matters; he’d stopped reading several minutes ago.

He’s too busy watching his husband over the polished silver rims of his spectacles, biting down on his tongue to keep from smiling to himself like a lunatic.

It’s Friday, nearly 11PM – Warbeck croons in the background, the Wireless making its characteristic whirring sounds between songs. Outside the second snow of the season falls slowly in twirling bits of dazzling white, the edges appearing fuzzy through the window. Large, mismatched mugs of hot chocolate sit under a Stasis on the coffee table, steam curling up steadily.

Draco’s socked feet are in Harry’s lap, being absently massaged as Harry reads the day’s Prophet that’s draped over the back of the sofa. Harry’s already pulled out all of his Weasley jumpers, clad tonight in a rich violet number with a broad, very slightly asymmetrical, yellow H on the front. His hair is still damp from the shower, curling up under his ears and sticking out at the back as usual, the heat from the fireplace slowly setting it in that mess. He frowns lightly as he reads, mouth sometimes moving soundlessly, lopsided glasses slipping down constantly.

Draco feels a hard lump rise in his throat and his heart threatens to explode right out his ribcage.

“What?” Harry asks, looking up suddenly, eyes wide and warm behind his glasses, small smile of adoration curling along his lips. “You’re gawking.”

“You have chocolate on your face,” Draco replies blandly, the warmth in his chest spreading in long tendrils. Harry rolls his eyes, sweeping a sleeve across his face before pinching the side of Draco’s foot, laughing at the indignant squeak that gets him, eyes already back on the newspaper. “You ever think about who you would have liked to end up with had I not snagged you first?”

The completely random question has slipped out before Draco can reel in his thoughts properly. Harry blinks, looking utterly baffled, and Draco chews furiously on his tongue.

“No,” Harry replies slowly, deliberately, “I don’t think it’s ever crossed my mind. Besides, it’s quite pointless.”

“Pointless?”

Harry chuckles softly, folding up the newspaper and tossing it aside. “Yes, pointless. How is it even relevant now? It’s not as if I’d have been even half as happy as I am today,” he adds with an easy shrug.

Draco swallows, pulling off his glasses and folding them carefully. “So you are happy…with me?”

Harry stares impassively. “Over three and a half years since we promised forever togetherness and now you think to ask me this?” He grins then, sudden and blinding, the abject love in his expression making Draco want to sing.

“Well, I figured I’d just confirm,” he retorts, though the snide sting he intended doesn’t quite ring. “So, you never think how it might’ve been had we not…?”

“No! Why would I even want to?!” Harry seems genuinely confused as he laughs. “There was only ever you for me, babe.”

“What?” Draco breathes.

Harry shrugs again. “You know… Like, we believe there’s someone out there for us, yeah? That one someone, waiting for us.”

“Yeah…?”

“So I realised pretty soon after we got together that you’re that someone for me,” Harry says simply as if it’s the most obvious thing, before peering owlishly at Draco’s blank expression for a bit. “What? You never thought that? Like there’s someone waiting for you?”

Draco nods mutely, looking down at Harry’s hands kneading away expertly at his soles. It’s only after a very long pause during which the fire spits weakly and Victoria contentedly purrs in quiet reflection of the general ambience of Draco’s life, “I just–” His voice cracks and he quickly clears his throat. “I—I’d never have thought… I never knew you were the someone waiting for me.

Harry’s hands go still, and for a while they just stare at each other.

“Well… I am.”

“I’m glad.”

“Yeah, me too.”

It gets colder by the minute outside - inside, pure warmth cocoons their tightly wound forms, no space for the cold, no space for doubt.

shou drawing ritsu is as sweet as I can get I guess

(thank you anon for the request!! its nice to draw pastel happy stuff without it turning into angst. also ritsu isnt as emo as usual which is a nice change too)

you know what else is pastel? the request post. Im not even joking it really is take a look

The two stages of writing:

1: Writes endlessly without distraction, the words flow easily and nothing hurts, final word count is in the thousands, you are a triumphant and radiant master of the pen

2: Spends 4 hours trying to eke out 300 words. Each keystroke is labored, every other word is a typo, you’ve changed tenses three times in the same sentence, grammar and sentence structure begin to deconstruct themselves, you’ve forgotten what an adjective is, you find yourself mindlessly refreshing your dash every 8 minutes just to escape the hellscape of Microsoft word

amatusvanitas  asked:

For the "send me a ship" meme: do you have a favorite KH pairing, and if so, why? 😊

Can I cheat and say more than one? Because more than one.

Sokai: Ah yes the obviously canon pair. With unsatisfactory amount of screen time together and when one of the pair is on the sidelines… With such a fate why would I hardcore ship it the way I do? Because of the characters themselves. I shipped this when I first played the game because it was obvious to 7 year old me, but I began to dig into this couple when I replayed the Remixes and noticed more details. The driving force for me is the fact that this couple is that how fond they are for eachother. Every moment the two has for each other just makes me love them more because of how cute and wholesome they are.

One of my favorite moments is the hug and the endgame for KH2. In the hug, Kairi really puts her heart into that hug because she finally can’t believe that Sora is right before her whom she almost forget even existed. She feels guilty and reassured with this. Sora on the other hand looks guilty because he promised Kairi he’d be back and obviously with Riku… But here he is not with Riku. To add up on it, he made her a wait a year and indirectly “forced” Kairi here in a dangerous place no less to look for him. He’s happy at the sight of her but this reunion wasn’t what Sora wanted for Kairi or deserved. Now flash forward to the end where Sora and Riku finally come back home. In that instance where Sora is running toward Kairi is where the real reunion happened for the both of them. Not only that but here he is, at the islands with Riku. This is their perfect reunion because they know the evil had been defeated (Oh little did they know) and their smiling faces don’t lie about how happy they are to see each other. Now tell me those looks don’t look like love.

Ahhh this is getting long and I kind of lost my train of thought. Basically speaking, their actions and intentions for each other make them a great couple. There is so much you can dig into them and see such support they have for eachother. Sokai is so healthy/cute/amazing and I’m just fangirling at this point. With many more amazing moments for them that it’s hard to describe into words since their actions speak miles.

Rikushi: Okay now this is a pairing I can put words for… probably. Now this is a pairing that I liked after seeing 358/2 days. Surprise Surprise a rarepair (Because they are sorely lacking in fanart even though they deserve more). After everything Xion goes through, she really falls back on a certain character in the latter half of the game which is Riku. And I don’t mean to say she values Riku higher than her best friends but that in this instance of serious struggle, Xion feels more security along him while she feels more comfortable with her friends. It’s at this point in time where Xion is treated as less of her own person by those around her, even Axel, and not letting her make decisions for her ownself. Riku, on the other hand, is going on a quest to make sure his best friend wakes up and will take any measures to ensure it. But even despite that, he gives Xion time and more importantly, respect to make a hard choice, even as it’s cutting close to Sora’s time. Xion as well, makes sure not to betray Riku’s trust and respect in her for the same reason that she respects his goal and aim. They also have many great parallels and similar personality traits that they’d be compatible. Hell they could understand each other probably more than the person that they aim to save which are Sora and Roxas. An easy strike against this pairing is that Riku is doing this because he’s reminded of Kairi and Sora within her… which is not wrong but also wrong. In the beginning he does view her as that but the finale of 358/2 days is what convinces me that’s no longer the case. It’s the fact that Riku is still able to remember Xion and more importantly he realizes what she has done. He knows she sacrificed herself for herself, Sora, and Roxas who Xion also knows/believes will go back to Sora. With Xion’s, quite literally, dying words for him to stop Roxas, I believe this strengthens his resolve on bringing back Roxas to Sora. As such he embraces the darkness once more. At the very end, Riku sees Xion for her at the very end as her own person with her own wants and wishes. This in my opinion separates the full comparison of Sora and Kairi the whole time.

-breathes out- Okay that was too lengthy, just know that I love this pair a lot and they would be a great couple. Like people give this love and realize what a great pairing this could be.

RokuNami: Okay where do I go with this couple? Aesthetically HD Pleasing and amazing singing voice actors *cough* okay pairing wise. These two may at first seem like “clones” of Sora and Kairi but they really aren’t and they know that perfectly well for each other. Namine, the moment she stepped into this world, was alone. Not only that but she was controlled as well without having a sense of control for herself. Even in KH2 Namine is still under the control of someone as harsh as DiZ in that small white room. Although she later cherishes Axel and Riku as companions (according to the kh2 novels), Namine knows that she is a witch being kept around walls. And then comes Roxas who perks her curiosity. She sees his memories and relates to him and the feeling of being kept in the dark to which Roxas has suffered intensely from. That is the connection to which Namine feels the “want” to meet Roxas even though she shouldn’t deserve anything since she is a witch as she is constantly been described as. In this, Namine takes more steps for her and also to help Roxas. She also decides that Roxas deserves the truth which is all Roxas ever wanted from the latter half of 358/2 Days. And Namine gave it to him, no sugarcoat at all or bias at all. I believe Roxas greatly senses this within Namine as well and can relate to her in his fleeting summer days. At that point, Roxas knows something is up and that Namine is giving him answers when she really shouldn’t be. It could be fair to say that out of the four he met in the real world(Axel, DiZ, Riku, and Namine) he would choose her first and foremost. These two are honest to god cinnamon rolls and they have similar traits such as being self sacrificing and compassionate. In all honesty, they set out a groundwork for a truly cute (also hurt/comfort) couple. Hopefully we can see more of them in KH3 possibly because they don’t have much screentime. One thing is sure though, they have an unbreakable trust and are super freaking cute and are happy to have each other.

  • “Hey, what’s this? Can I try?”
  • “Wait, where’d the little bottle go?”
  • “Please tell me that’s not what I think it is.”
  • “You mind tasting this… No Wait!”
  • “This is going to end badly, you know?”
  • “Who has time for confessing, this is much faster.”
  • “Are you sure using generic ingredients is the best for this type of thing?”
  • “Did you just taste your own potion?”
  • “Quickly look up and see what happens if you accidentally taste your own love potion please.”
  • “Why is this so complicated?”
  • “I don’t understand why a love potion would even need this kind of ingredient.”
  • “Do you think if you drank your own love potion, you would learn to love yourself?”

  • “You could have just talked to me you know?!”
  • “In my defense, it wasn’t suppose to make you throw up.”
  • “How was I supposed to know you were allergic?!”
  • “So let me get this straight, you accidentally ingested a love potion that you made yourself?”
  • “I like being in love with you!”
  • “I knew they didn’t like me, anyway.”
  • “I’m not sorry.”
  • “I’m sorry.”
  • “You’re such an idiot, you didn’t need a potion to make me love you.”
  • “Love potions don’t work when a person is already in love.”
  • “I love you!”
  • “I didn’t need a potion to see how beautiful you are.”
  • “No potion in the world could match up to the love I already feel for you.”
  • “How can I ever trust you again?”
  • “Leave me and never come back!”
  • “I just wanted to you love me the way that I love you.”

hello my name is luca and i am a v sleepy boye™

I actually wanted to do something completely different, but ended up doing a very small re-animation (or something like that) with this gif:

why? well, I don’t know.

But left out the background stuff moving, because that would have took too many frames to move it as slowly and steady as the original (and I’m lazy), also did the ATK points different, obviously. And I now know again, why I never was the animator type - it tooks way to long even for small things, and the result isn’t that great - it just isn’t my time, efford and result ration, if you could call it that way. I mean, the whole quick painting was done more quickly than the steps afterwards (partly because I had to find out how things work best, and due to my lack of experience, but yeah… no)

Spencer Pratt’s track by track reputation review

1. “…Ready for It?”

It’s such a “here we go, boom,” turning the ignition on her Lamborghini or whatever she wants to have. That’s the vibe it has. “In the middle of the night, in my dreams, you should see the things we do, baby” — that right there, even with all the new songs, hits me so hard. I’ve heard it now a thousand times and every time it makes me sing to the clouds. That is poetic, like some shit Robert Frost would have been writing back in the day. Now that I know it’s the first on the album, it’s just even more powerful. It’s showing the swag that she’s gonna bring. Are you ready for it? I wasn’t actually ready for it. And the “let the games begin” — she already knows all the haters are gonna be out here. All the little blogs, all the little posts. Let the games begin. She knows she just brought this heat on so many people.

I’m so torn because I’m such a Kardashian diehard. I’m in such a weird predicament in this situation because she gets me so angry at Kim and Kanye on this album. It’s gonna be weird being a Kim fan post-Reputation. I’ll see how I can handle it. Maybe I’ll just only love Kris Jenner because you can’t blame Kris for anything.

2. “End Game”

Here’s the thing with “End Game.” Future is one of my top 10 all-time, so when I saw the track list leak and I saw Future on it I was so excited. Heidi thinks it’s fine. She thinks I’m way too Swift ganged out, she’s like, “He barely spits eight bars, Spencer.” I’m like, “Yeah, those could have been eight bars of Taylor lyrics.” That’s how deep I am right now in the Taylor gang where I didn’t need either of them on that song. I don’t need to hear Ed Sheeran rapping. When he started singing I was like, “OK, homie’s got pipes.” I’m feeling those singing parts. But him rapping with his Irish accent, I was like, “Come on now.” I don’t need this in my life. I don’t need Taylor to be on any records with anybody, just like I wouldn’t need Michael Jackson to be on a record with somebody. At a certain level you’re only wanting to hear that person because they’re a damn superstar. But I started liking it because my conspiracy mind was like, “Ooo, maybe Future doesn’t like Kanye and there’s more to this.” Like he hit Taylor up like, “Yo fuck Yeezy, let me get on a record with you.” Future’s eight billion times doper than Kanye so it’s kinda like, “I don’t need Kanye West I got Future on my team.” I hope Kanye’s now like, “Damn, Future’s riding with her.” That makes me like it, if there’s a conspiracy that Future wanted to piss off Kanye.

3. “I Did Something Bad”

This should be the next single, one billion percent. I hope she spends $10 million on the damn music video. I don’t know what she did bad, so I think that’s the joke. I feel that. Because I didn’t do anything bad and I got straight up hated on The Hills for somebody lying about their own thing they were lying about and I become the liar and the leaker. I love this because I’m like, “OK, if I did something bad it feels so good because you’re the damn liar.” I’m thinking she’s referencing this whole Snapchat thing, I don’t know. I’m sure the Swiftie YouTubers will break it down better than I will. For me, I relate to it because I didn’t do anything bad and I got hated and I have no idea why people hate on Taylor. Because she wants to have a really good image? Because she didn’t go out like Katy Perry and act like she’s some damn politician in the media? I don’t know wanna know who Taylor votes for. I don’t care. I wanna hear hit damn records out of her and that’s it. I wanna see her go on dates in Rome with frickin’ Tom Hiddleston. That’s what I wanted to see, not her running around with Hillary Clinton. I’m sure people are like, “She could have stopped Trump.” No she couldn’t, people! Hello, Hillary won the popular vote! What, is she gonna switch the electoral college vote? I don’t think so, so everyone needs to move off of, “Oh, I hate Taylor because she didn’t campaign enough.” I hate that shit. She’s a frickin’ pop star.

4. “Don’t Blame Me”

This one’s amazing. This is what I imagine I’m gonna play when I’m feeding my hummingbirds. My hummers are gonna love this one. I also love it because I just had a baby and my baby’s definitely like my drug that I’m straight high off of, snorting his little hair off his head daily, so again I feel like she’s writing for me. I know she’s talking about Joe or whatever. By the way, I need to do more research about Joe because this guy is frickin’ Romeo on steroids. He’s got Taylor so damn sprung it’s overwhelming. I feel like she just made her own Ex Machina robot Ava but Joe. She went to the mountains to live next to the waterfall and had Google make her a boyfriend.

anonymous asked:

How do you create characters? Or do they come find you and tell you their stories?

I’m afraid it varies! It really depends on the situation. It feels too pragmatic to sound creative but too creative to sound pragmatic.

On the creative end, sometimes the characters do come to me. But they usually aren’t presenting their stories outright.

In a literal sense, a character idea will pop in my head, so I’ll write up a little about them—the things I feel to be true—and sometimes give them a piece of flash fiction (or something else short) so I can get a feeling for how they are and if they fit my initial assessment.

I prefer character-driven media, so I focus on what the character is like and figure out what they want. For example, my second NaNoWriMo (National Novel Writing Month) was a story about a writer. (Wow, yes, I know. So original. Writing about a writer. Yeah.) I didn’t know what the writer wanted, but I knew what she was like. I knew her base situation as well. If you know their base situation (where they are at the beginning of the story or slightly prior to it), you can figure out what makes them unhappy about it.

After all, stories are about journeys, whether they are emotional or physically moving to a different place or whatever.

My writer character felt like she didn’t have the life experience to be a good writer. Summer comes, and she chooses to take that time to travel to different places and meet new people. One conflict is that her parents don’t really want her to go, especially by herself, because she was only 17 or so.

I evaluated the character (she was an ambitious writer) and calculated in what she didn’t like about where she was (she was an inexperienced writer). So the plot/story came to me from there: she decides to leave so she can travel and get life experience.

In that sense, they don’t always exactly tell me their stories. I focused on what made the writer who she was and what kind of growth she needed to take, not necessarily the growth she wanted.

The idea was that, by the end, she had gained experience but that she didn’t feel richer for it, so she was going to struggle with trying to realize what she had actually learned by leaving. I never really got there, but that was the idea.

So I didn’t say to myself, “I have a writer character, and I want her to travel.” I said to myself, “I have a concept of a writer who is inexperienced. She wants to travel to get that valuable experience. I guess the story should be about her travels.”

The story fell flat and unfinished, of course, by virtue of how I intended for her to go cross-country when I had not done the same. It felt inauthentic, and I bailed. I jammed out some nonsense so I could say I had “won” NaNoWriMo that year.

My more pragmatic view on characters is that I have a basic concept (like, very basic, as in “I want to write about a character that worships unicorns”) and then go through my personal questionnaires to determine the rest of their traits and what they’re like.

  • Where does this character live (mountains, valley, riverbed, beach, etc.)?
  • What surrounds their home (what kind of buildings, what landmarks, what roads)?
  • What is the climate like?
  • How many moons and suns does that world have?
  • What is the time period?
  • What kind of city/town do they live in?
  • How many people live there? What kinds of people?
  • What plants (fruit, trees, spices, vegetables, etc.) do they produce?
  • What animals/wildlife do they have?
  • What is the character’s role in that place?
  • Why do they have that role?
  • What are their goals? Are they happy with their current role?
  • What is the one thing they most want to change?
  • What are their hobbies? What interests them?
  • What is their family like? Any siblings? Parents alive? What relationships do they have with their family members (MC to father, MC to sister, etc.)? What relationships do the family members have with each other (mother to father, brother to sister, etc.)?
  • Do they have any current love interests? What has their love life been like?
  • What are they good at?
  • Do they have any religious beliefs? If so, what are they? If not, why?
  • Do they perform any rituals (religious or otherwise)?
  • What body type do they have? How do other people perceive their appearance?
  • What is their view on gender roles?

I then check out what I said about their goals and roles.

  • What would they need to do in order to achieve their goals?
  • Is it feasible?
  • Would it be an interesting story? Why or why not?
  • Who would try to stop them?
  • What obstacles are in the way (giant wall, overbearing parents, lack of money, education necessities, etc.)?
  • Why are these goals and roles so important? Who are they most important to?

After all that, it feels like a good time to start plotting the story out. And it’s straight-forward from there! (Usually.) When I start plotting, I generally go with a general idea of where things start and where things end. Then, I can figure out what would happen in between.

Story-plotting is about way more than waiting for the right inspiration. Being a writer is about dedication and writing, even when inspiration is nonexistent. But you have to write to find inspiration. You can inspire yourself simply by working. You can’t let a blank page let you down. You have to create stories and not just wait for them to come to you.

Inspiration, though, is awesome. If you get inspired, run with it—with all of your ability, run with it. But you won’t feel inspiration every single day, so you have to learn how to create characters and stories on your own.

I actually have some resources already on my blog. :) For reasons of convenience, I include them below.
