Being in a relationship with Jasper Hale would include:
● Before you get together he’d try to stay away from you.
● He was so scared that he would hurt you so yeah he stayed away.
● Alice befriended you though
● The pixie was annoying at first, but you came to like her
● Alice convinced Jasper to talk to you
● He would always call you ma'am
● he’s such a gentleman tbh
● You get Jasper to open up bc he could feel your emotions and could tell you were distancing yourself from him
● He got you to open up to him
● Not only is he your soulmate, he’s your best friend
● He doesn’t flirt with you or anything, he literally is just being himself and that’s how you fell for him
● His family loves you, although Rosalie is kind of rude bc she thinks you’ll be another Bella
● You aren’t so she started to like you more
● Jasper asked you out in person and it was simple and sweet
● You and Jasper could literally sit in silence and be content as long as you had the other person by your side
● You were fascinated by the stories he told you
● When it came to the time where the decision of your mortality/immortality, Rosalie voted no and you voted yes
● She glared at you and asked why
● “Think of how much it would hurt Jasper if I died. You’ve probably seen what the death of one of the Volturi’s mates did to whoever’s mate she was. He was empty, but still alive, right? His life is miserable. I don’t want that for him.”
● Rosalie was shocked, Bella wanted immortality to stay with Edward, but you wanted immortality so Jasper doesn’t get hurt. Rosalie ended up voting yes
Imagine Chris getting the first flight back to you.
A/N: Part 4! Ughhh, so much angst. Damn you, brain. Whhhhyyyyy? On a brighter note, how cute was Seb and Ava trying to save the day? (Talk about best friends for life.) You can read the previous parts here: (Mini-series - Masterlist; Mini-series Spin-off: ‘Unexpected Reader - Masterlist’, ‘Little Ways Away - Part 1/Part 2/Part 3)
The line cut off and the dial tone droned; Chris stood there stunned with the phone still pressed to his ear. What had just happened? How did things go so wrong, so fast? His hand dropped to his side in defeat as his thumb ended the call on his end. He looked around his vicinity; he watched the strangers on the street, looking for someone- a sign, something- anything to tell him he was dreaming, that you didn’t just break up with him. You didn’t break up with him, you couldn’t have. The two of you had a life to live out together- there was a plan to follow, a destiny to fulfill…This was never part of that plan, he wasn’t meant to lose you. What had he done? Why did he call? Why did he say what he didn’t mean? There were a million questions that he wanted an answer to, but the most prominent one, begging for an immediate answer was “can I get her back?”
“Taxi!” Chris called as he held out an arm. He knew what would happen if he left without saying a word; he knew if he didn’t get back before he was due to film his next scene- Kevin, the Russo brothers, and his cast would have a fit; he knew all that, but he also knew none of it mattered if you were no longer a part of his life. “Hey, taxi!” He yelled again, catching the attention of a passing cabbie who sensed his urgency and pulled up in front of him.
“Chris!” Sebastian caught Chris getting into a cab as he came out of the bar the rest of the cast and crew were in. “Chris!” He called and jogged a few steps, trying to stop the cab that was pulling away from the curb. “Chris, wait!” He yelled and waved into the rear view mirror, but the cab was already on its way to the airport. “Where the hell are you going, man? You’ve still got my phone.” He mumbled to himself, pulling Chris’ phone out of his pocket to see that Chris had texted before he could call. “Y/N broke up with me,” he read under his breath then gasped, “what? I need to go sort things out, I’ll get your phone back to you later,” he continued then sighed. “I don’t care about my phone, just fix your relationship before it’s too late.” He wanted to text that back, but he didn’t knowing Chris was going through enough. He slipped Chris’ phone back into his pocket and returned to the bar to explain his best friend’s situation to the executive producer.
Chris found himself looking at your number, his thumb hovered over the call button. He knew if he called you now- even without his number- you’d just ignore his call; you were going to ignore all calls. He needed to see you in person, he needed to deal with this whole situation in person. He turned off Sebastian’s phone to rid himself of the temptation and just focused on what he was going to say to you when he got back to Los Angeles.
Sebastian’s pocket started buzzing before he could re-enter the bar, he narrowed his eyes as he pulled out Chris’ phone; ‘Ava’ popped up on the screen. Now he knew who Ava was because both you and Chris had told him a few times about your best friend and how she was a huge fan, but this wasn’t his phone. He stared at it for a little while more, then decided to answer hoping he could join forces with your best friend to help bring the two of you back together.
“Chris, oh my God!” Ava started rambling the second Sebastian picked up. “What the fuck just happened?” She asked and he wished he knew. “Y/N just left for work, but I’m pretty sure she’s crying in the stairwell- Are you okay?” He tried to talk, but she continued before he could. “Of course you’re not, she’s not either. I hope you do know you’re not actually broken up, so don’t go hook up with a stranger to spite her because that will actually end the relationship. Are you even there? Can you please say-”
“Not Chris,” Sebastian cut Ava off and her breath hitched in her throat because she recognized his voice. “He borrowed my phone and left his with me. He’s headed for the airport now to go back to LA to talk to Y/N, so I think we can relax.” Ava didn’t know what to say, she was still a little starstruck by Sebastian. Unlike you, this was the first time she’d spoken to a celebrity other than Chris; it made things more difficult because she had a bit of a crush on Sebastian. “Are you still there? Can you please say something?”
“Um- sorry, I’m here.” Ava cleared her throat, strengthening her shaky voice. “He’s on his way back?” She quizzed then smiled when she heard Sebastian noise confirmation. “Oh, thank God. I was freaking out, it’d be such a waste if they didn’t live happily ever after. I’ve never seen two people so happy together, their love is a love worth fighting for.”
“It is,” Sebastian nodded in agreement. “Which is why you’re going to have to keep an eye on Y/N until Chris gets there, make sure she doesn’t do anything she’ll regret. I know she’s not the type, but she’ll definitely attract guys who think she’s a damsel in distress. We don’t want any more misunderstandings and unnecessary complications, things are already messy enough.”
“I keep telling them to talk, but they don’t listen.” Ava sighed. “They always wait until the last minute when things are messy to sort it out. Do you even know how they got together? It was like a freaking movie, had me on the edge of my seat and wanting to rip all my hair out.” Sebastian laughed and Ava smiled, “anyway, it was really nice talking to you. I’m such a huge fan, I’m definitely going to scream into a pillow when I hang up.”
“It was nice talking to you too, Ava,” Sebastian smiled. “You take care of those crazy kids and I’m sure we’ll get to meet at their wedding.” Ava chuckled. “I should go, I gotta go do my job as Cap’s right hand man and save his ass.” Ava laughed then covered her mouth when she realized she was laughing too loudly. “He’s lucky Kevin’s rooting for him and Y/N, otherwise he’s going to be in a lot of trouble.”
“You’re a good friend.”
“So are you,” Sebastian replied then hung up, leaving Ava to do exactly as she’d told him; she screamed into a pillow. She looked up, laughing when she realized she’d scared Dodger. First, her best friend befriends then dates Chris Evans; second, Chris Evans’ adorable dog comes and lives with the two of you; now, she’d spoken to Sebastian Stan. If things weren’t so complicated between said best friend and Chris Evans, she’d be a lot happier.
The door opened and she turned, frowning when she saw you walk in. It’d only been half an hour since you left, so you must’ve changed your mind about going to work. You didn’t even throw a glance her and Dodger’s way as you walked to your bedroom, closing the door behind you. You’d texted Jack telling him you couldn’t make it, and was going to get a cab down to LAX to get a last minute flight out to Atlanta. You couldn’t just let Chris go like that, you needed to apologize and fix things before it was too late. All of it happened because of you, he didn’t do anything wrong; you were the one at fault. You had money, enough for a flight to Atlanta because that was what you’d been saving for with all your extra shifts. The original plan, however, was for you to fly down for to surprise Chris for his birthday- not this.
You stripped yourself from your work clothes and changed into your best red dress- the one you’d worn on your very first date with him. You wiped your tears, applied on some makeup, then fixed your hair. By the time you were done, you didn’t look like a girl who’d just spent half an hour crying in the stairwell. You slipped on your black heels and your trench coat, then stuffed your passport, wallet, and phone into a clutch before you walked back out.
“Whoa,” Ava breathed when she saw you; she was definitely worried about where you were going looking like that. “Um- what are you doing?” She asked, but you ignored her. “Y/N?” She followed you as you made your way to the front door. “Why are you so dressed up? Y/N-” she grabbed your elbow before you could leave and you stopped, but didn’t turn around. “Where are you going?”
“I’m going out, Ava,” you told her in a vague tone. “Don’t worry about me, I’ll be back. Just- in a few days,” you mumbled under your breath and Ava grew incredibly concerned. “Relax,” you told her and she frowned, wondering just how she was meant to do that. “Take care of Dodger until I get back? There are some things I need to sort out before I know where he’s going to stay.”
“He’s not going anywhere because you and Chris-”
“I’ll talk to you later,” you pulled your elbow out of her grip then left before she could say anything else. You knew she would run after you so you rushed down the flight of stairs, hoping she would chase if she couldn’t see you. And she didn’t chase, but she did call after you; she didn’t know if you could hear her, but she had to try.
A/N: I hope you are all having a great monday. Feedback is welcomed and appreciated! <3 <3 I love you all so much!

Gibbs learning about your abusive past? Possibly while you’re both captured by the very people who abused you when you were younger? #Angst
You and Gibbs were chasing a lead. It wasn’t much of one, but a lead was a lead. When you and Gibbs kicked down the door, you were surrounded by masked men. They had their guns pointed at you and the Marine. When you looked at Gibbs for further direction, he held his hands up in surrender.
“Nice to see you again [Y/N],” one of the men spoke. You knew that voice. It brought back terrible memories from your past. It was one of your step-dad’s friends. Your step-dad abused you as a child. This man knew about all of it, yet he never did anything to help you. He was the one who set your mom and your step-dad up. “We’ll have to let the bossman know that you’re here. He’ll want to see you.”
They escorted you and Gibbs to a small room. They locked both of you inside, keeping one of the gunmen outside of the room as security. There was no way out of this small room. Your leaned your back against the wall as you sat down on the floor. You couldn’t help but feel hopeless as you started to cry.
Why are we not talking about this part like seriously she just fucking drunk the black goo and then just got pregnant? Like seriously did she just like drunk that stuff when no one wasn’t around then afterwards everyone found out she was pregnant With children.
When? When will this all end?, A question I always ask to myself. Why does pain has to be like an endless feeling? I envy those who already found their happiness, and the courage to move on from their past. I envy those who are already in their future, forgotten what the past made them. In my condition, even if one day the future comes to me, I can’t forget what the past did to me because it really hurts that it leaves marks on every part of my body. And it will just make me remember every single day how hurt I am. I’m already tired crying every night, drinking away the pain in my chest, and distracting myself by saying to others I’m okay. I’m tired. I really wonder if this pain will all disappear and be forgotten.

Saturday morning, Chris signed the papers releasing you and Jack from the hospital. You were both excited to bring Jack home for the first time, to introduce him to Dodger, and to take him around and familiarize him with where he was going to spend the next few years of his life. You and Chris hadn’t talked about moving to Boston since January, after that slight bout in the car. You were planning to bring it up again now that Jack was actually born; you had to because that was the home you wanted him to grow up in. But you’d decided you’d hold off on it until your son turned one, giving yourself a year; a year to gauge how overwhelming parenthood was going to be and whether or not you could handle it in a new environment miles away from your parents.
Speaking of your parents, they went back to your childhood home and invited Lisa to stay with them so you and Chris and the baby had some time to yourselves to settle in. They were coming back on Sunday, in the afternoon, to do the cooking so you and Chris didn’t have to. You were having a family get together so everyone could meet Jack, praying things wouldn’t be too overwhelming for your little boy. It had been expected that everyone was going to want to meet Jack as soon as possible because he was the son of Chris Evans; a man who had been wanting a child of his own for as long as anyone could remember. Hence why it came as no surprise to hear from his publicist that the birth of your son was already trending all over the internet.
You and Chris didn’t know how, but someone found out about Jack’s birth. That was the mysterious thing about the media, no matter how secretive you tried to be about something- they’d still find out. But you were lucky because that was all they found out, that Chris Evans and Y/N Y/L/N welcomed their first child. All the articles had no specifics because you and Chris had kept everything tightly sealed; there was no gender, or name, or possible hospital location- a huge relief. It was easier because Chris had been on hiatus, there was no chance for him to let any details slip in interviews. It was important for the both of you to keep him a secret for a while, protected from the eyes of the public. You knew you’d eventually have to introduce Jack to the world, but you wanted it to be on your terms. You hadn’t decided if you’d do what Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively did and bring your child into the eye of the public at an event, or do what Jensen Ackles and Danneel Harris did and post a picture on Instagram. You both decided you’d worry about that later and just focus on your little family for now.
Other than Sunday dinner, plans were made to FaceTime Sebastian and Ava- who had placed themselves on a no fly list until their boy was born- so they could meet their godson. You and Chris still laughed every time you thought about the reactions of those around you when you announced Sebastian and Ava were going to be Jack’s godparents. Both the brothers, Donovan and Scott were pretty offended whereas Carly and Shanna graciously accepted the decision. And of course, Robert and Anthony kicked up, saying they were “hurt to hear that we didn’t make the cut.” But despite all the fuss, everyone had seen that decision coming. Since Chris got together with you, and Sebastian got together with Ava- the four of you had been closer than ever; your friendship had become one of those friendships you saw on ‘How I Met Your Mother’ or ‘The Big Bang Theory’, ‘The Office’, or ‘Parks and Recreation’. You and Chris explained to Sebastian and Ava that even though you’d given them the title of godparents, chances were that your families would still take care of Jack if anything were to happen to you and Chris. The reason for giving them the title was so that they knew, and Jack knew they were still going to play a significant part in his life.
There were a few beings who were going to play a significant part in his life, a handsome furry fella was one of them. You’d been away from him since Friday morning and you missed him. You knew he was probably worried and waiting at the door, and that he was going to be so excited to see the two of you that he’d pounce as soon as he did. A pounce would’ve been welcomed if you weren’t holding a baby, but you were which was why Chris was going inside first. He was going to talk to Dodger and let him know that a baby was coming in with you, his brother that he had to be gentle with and protect. The two of you had decided to steal that scene from ‘Marley and Me’, introducing Dodger to Jack like Marley was introduced to Patrick.
Chris’ car pulled up in the driveway and he turned to look at you and Jack in the back seat. “You ready for this?” He asked and you nodded, carefully unbuckling Jack from the car seat and lifting him into your arms. “Give me about five minutes,” he told you then got out of the car.
Dodger heard the keys in the door and immediately jumped up, tail wagging excitedly like he knew who was behind the door. He pounced like Chris had expected him to when Chris walked into the house, jumping then attacking Chris’ face with licks when Chris descended to his knees in front of Dodger to give him a scratch and a hug.
“I missed you too, pal,” Chris chuckled. “Now sit,” he commanded and Dodger quickly as he was told. “We’ve got some things to talk about before our girl comes inside, okay?” Dodger tilted his head then nudged his nose into Chris’ hand. “Alright, bud. You know how it’d been me and you for quite a while before it became me, you, and Y/N? Do you remember how much you liked her when you first met her? How quickly you fell in-love with her?”
Chris paused, giving Dodger a chance to respond in his own way. He smiled when Dodger pawed his thigh, giving his face another lick. “Yeah, me too.” He responded with a chuckle, scratching Dodger’s head. “Well, now we’ve got another little guy joining our clan and I’m going to need you to do the same with him. But the difference here is you can’t pounce on him, or attack him with your sweet kisses. Not for a while anyway because he is very small, so I’m going to need you to be extra gentle.”
Dodger licked Chris again and Chris smiled at him, unable to believe how much he’d grown; he was no longer a puppy, even though you called him ‘puppy’ all the time. “Look pal, I know this is going to be another big change. I just want you to know it’s okay if you’re nervous ‘cause Y/N and I are too, we’re petrified. But you know what?” He scratched Dodger’s head, smiling. “We’re going to do this together, okay? We’re a team, as always. And I know you’re going to do great because you’re a sweet and gentle soul who wouldn’t hurt a fly.” Chris heard movement behind the door as the handle jiggled, “that’s them now. Gentle, okay?” He kissed Dodger’s forehead then caught his collar as he rose to his feet, turning to face the door.
Dodger saw you come through the door and rushed forward, only to be held back by Chris. He barked once then quieted down when you carefully descended to your knees, revealing Jack to him. Chris lowered himself to his knees too, one arm wrapped around Dodger’s body as he curiously eyed Jack. “This is your brother, Dodge. His name is Jack,” you told Dodger, smiling. “You can say hello, bud.” You said and Dodger took a step closer, sniffing Jack. “Look how good he is,” you told Chris, feeling your eyes well with tears at how gentle Dodger was being with his approach. You leaned over and kissed Dodger’s head, whispering, “you’re going to be best buds with him, aren’t you?” Chris patted Dodger’s side as the pup gently placed his paw on Jack, you shared a smile with Chris. “Yeah, definitely the best of buds.”
“But don’t you forget who your original best bud is,” Chris playfully warned him and you laughed as you rose to your feet. “I’m going to go get the rest of the stuff, you take it easy.” He told you and you nodded, making your way over to the couch with Dodger padding alongside you while he headed out to the car.
“Welcome home, sweetheart,” you kissed Jack’s forehead. His eyes looked around, curiously examining the place as Dodger had curiously examined him. He was so perfect, so worth all the pain and discomfort you’d endured over the last nine months. “This is where you’re going to spend the first few years of your life, or until your daddy allows us to move. He’s a little worried moving now will be too much for me, which I understand. I panicked a lot because of you, buddy,” you told him, chuckling. “But that’s not your fault, I’m just a chronic over thinker.”
Chris reentered the house and smiled when he saw you talking to Jack. He didn’t understand what you were so afraid of, you were so good with him. He lowered the bags onto the floor and walked over quietly, not wanting to pull your attention away from your son and ruin the moment. He leaned against the nearest wall and watched the two of you from a distance, chewing on his middle finger.
“You should see the house we have waiting for us in Boston, Jack Jack.” You told your son, smiling. “It is so beautiful and you are going to love it. Don’t get me wrong, this house is beautiful too and I know you’re going to love it here but- I think you’re going to love it more in Boston because that’s where Daddy grew up.” Chris smiled, lowering his hand to his side as he pushed his weight off the wall and onto his feet. “Your grandma Lisa raised him in Boston and he turned out to be an amazing human being, so I’m going to do that with you too.” Chris felt his vision blur when he heard you say that, then stifled his laughter when he heard what came out of your mouth next. “And when you become a Bostonian, Daddy will tell you all about The Patriots and the Boston Red Soxs and- who knows what other teams he supports. I’m not a sports fan, if you can’t already tell.”
“Of course he can tell, you’re wearing a Yankees cap.” Chris quipped as he walked over, and you rolled your eyes as you giggled. “Oh God,” he sighed dramatically as he sat down next to you. You turned to him with furrowed brows when he buried his face in his hands, groaning. “Why must you do this to me?” He murmured into his hands.
“Make me fall deeper in-love with you,” he turned to you with a smile and you laughed. “No, seriously. That little conversation you just had with our son- I mean, you just reminded me of why I took a chance with you, why I went against every instinct and fell in-love with a fan.” Your eyes narrowed and a curious smile surfaced. “When I first-”
“Wait,” you chuckled. “What did you just say?” You asked and he raised his brows, unsure of what you were calling him out for until you said- “Did you just admit to having doubts about dating me because I’m a fan?” He opened his mouth and scrunched his face, trying to feign confusion and innocence. “So all those times when I voiced concerns about being a fan girlfriend and you shot me down, you were actually worried about having a fan girlfriend?”
“What, no,” he blurted and you rolled your eyes, knowing the answer was the opposite. “Y/N, I-” He winced then relaxed slightly when he heard a soft laugh from you. “Look, I’m sorry. It’s just an actor’s instinct, y’know?” He quizzed and you nodded understandingly. “Like I knew you were genuine and you liked me for me, it was pretty obvious in the story you didn’t care about the fame or fortune. But that’s a story and- it was just instinct to question your intentions. If it makes you feel any better, I didn’t question it for long.”
“If I’m being honest, I don’t feel bad about it at all.” You told him then giggled when he laughed. “I just asked because that is the first I’ve heard you say you were concerned about that. I mean- that night we got together, you told me a lot and that didn’t come up once.” You reminded him and he nodded with pursed lips. “Even in your letter, you said you were worried you were in-love with me because of the story, and that you didn’t want to start anything until you were sure you could finish it, but that fan thing- I’ve never heard before.”
“That’s ‘cause I didn’t question for long,” he repeated his earlier statement. “Like it was something I got over before I wrote that letter. We were friends first and it was pretty obvious what your intentions were, so I didn’t tell you because I didn’t see the point. It was irrelevant by the time we started dating. Even more so now that we’re married with a kid,” he chuckled, reaching over to play with Jack’s hand. “I just didn’t want to upset you, I knew you’d pick at it if I told you. You’re a over thinker, even if nothing’s wrong- you’d think something’s wrong.”
“Very true,” you nodded in agreement and he smiled. “Oh well, like you said it’s irrelevant.” You said and he nodded, taking Jack from you. “I’m so happy things worked out the way it did.” You leaned your head against his shoulder; both of you smiled at Jack then Dodger who was looking up at the three of you. “If I could go back in time,” you patted Dodger’s head, playing with his ears. “I’d do the exact same thing.”
“I wouldn’t,” Chris laughed, “I’d speed up the process.”
“As long as we end up here,” you kissed Chris’ cheek, “I’m good.”
Summary: After months of you and Tom denying the connection you felt after he spent the night cuddled up next to you in bed, you began tired of feeling lonely and agreed to go on a date with Harrison. Little did either you or Tom know, the date was all part of Harrison’s plan…
A/N: I didn’t really think about writing a part two until I got this idea so here ya go
Why am I doing this? He’s not the one I want.
I stared at my reflection in the mirror as I finished getting ready for my date with Harrison. I only agreed since Tom never made a move after the night we spent together.
I looked over at my bed and remembered how amazing it felt to be wrapped up in his strong arms.
Yes, Harrison was an amazing catch, but he would never be Tom.
There was a pit in the bottom of my stomach once I realized that me agreeing to go on this date ended all chances I had of being with Tom. And I also knew Harrison and I would never be able to make it work.
I heard the doorbell ring and felt sick to my stomach as I heard my mom greeting Harrison at the door.
“Y/N! Harrison’s here.” My mom called up.
I wiped the tear that fell from my eye and grabbed my purse before going down the stairs.
Harrison was waiting patiently with a bouquet of flowers in his hand.
“Uh, these are for you…” He awkwardly said as he handed me the flowers.
I thanked him and took them to the kitchen to put them in a vase.
And after that, we were off.
The car ride was filled with an awkward silence.
I hated this.
Harrison was my best friend and now I felt sick just from looking at him.
“Stop the car!” I yelled.
Harrison slammed the breaks and looked over at me with wide eyes.
“Y/N, what’s wrong?”
“I-I think I’m gonna be sick.”
I jumped out of the car and ran to the side of the road and began to breathe heavily.
“Jesus, Y/N!” Harrison said as he held my hair out of my face even though I hadn’t actually thrown up.
“What are we doing, Harrison?” I asked.
He looked at me with confused eyes.
“What do you mean?”
“Why did you ask me out? I know you don’t like me that way.”
“I– I was trying to get Tom to make a move…”
“Ever since that night you two spent together, he hasn’t stopped talking about how in love he is with you. And I kept telling him to ask you out but he would make some excuse like that you would never say yes to him or that he wouldn’t want to put you through dating a celebrity or some other bullshit excuse.”
“Where is he now?”
“He’s at his house… or at the cafe I told him we were going to.”
“Take me to him. Please.”
Harrison helped me back into the car. In a matter of minutes, we were parked outside an unfamiliar house.
I had never actually been to Tom’s house. We were always at either Harrison or I’s considering we lived next door to each other.
“Go on, Y/N. I know you love him too.”
I smiled at my best friend and got out of the car.
I walked up to the door and knocked. A few moments later a smaller version of Tom opened the door.
“Hello, can I help you?”
“I need to see Tom.”
“Oh… wait, how did you get this address? If you’re some crazy fan, I’ll call the police!”
“I’m Y/N, his friend and Harrison’s neighbor.” I said as I gestured to Harrison who was still waiting in his car.
“Oh… OH! You’re the girl Tom never shuts up about! Wait, aren’t you supposed to be dating Harrison? Isn’t that why Tom hasn’t left his room all day?”
“Alright, move.” I said as I pushed the boy out of the way.
“Second door to the right once you get upstairs! I’m Harry by the way!” He called after me.
I paused when I reached Tom’s door. I could hear sniffling coming from the other side which only made my heart break more. I lightly knocked.
“Harry, I said I want to be left alone today!” Tom’s voiced called.
I felt my heart crush as I could hear the sadness in his voice. I opened the door and saw him curled up on his bed staring at the wall.
“Harry! I sai- oh…”
I smiled softly at Tom as he realized I was not his younger brother.
“Hey, can I sit down?”
Tom nodded. I crossed the room and sat down in front of him on the bed. His eyes were red from crying and his curls were all over the place.
“C'mere.” I said as I pulled him to where his head was in my lap.
I ran my fingers through his soft curls as his hands held my other one.
“Aren’t you supposed to be with Harrison right now?”
“And why would I want to be with him when I could be with you?”
“D-Don’t you like him? I can see it on your face. He makes you laugh harder than I ever could. And you guys always cuddle on the couch and hang out like everyday…”
“Harrison is like my brother! I only said yes to him cause you wouldn’t ask me out, Tom. I’ve wanted to be with you since the second I laid my eyes on you. You were so… beautiful.”
By now, Tom was sitting up in front of me.
“I love you.” He blurted out.
His eyes went wide as he realized what he said.
“I-I’m so sorry, Y/N! Shit, I just ruined everything didn’t I… Jesus Christ, I’m such an id-”
I cut him off by crashing his lips onto mine.
“I love you, too you idiot.”
Tom smiled and pulled me back into him and began to kiss me again.
“Bout damn time.” We heard someone mumble.
Tom and I broke apart to see Harry and Harrison standing in the doorway. Harrison with a cocky smirk on his face.
“Yes, it is about damn time. And Harrison, you have 5 seconds to run for going after my girl.” Tom said.
Harrison’s smirk faded as his eyes went wide and he took off down the hallways, Tom hot on his heels.
“My boys.” I said as Harry and I laughed at Harrison’s pleas to get Tom to stop.
A/N: I’m sorry this took quite a bit but I’ve finally come around to write it! I’m aiming to have at least two more chapters because I don’t want to make this too long. Thanks for enjoying this mini series, I appreciate it! Enjoy and feedback is welcomed :) [previous parts]

Rushing amongst the trees as you followed behind Kylo, you narrowed your brows. Why was he suddenly so on edge? Who did he sense out? Was it someone you knew or was it the one person you feared most–that wasn’t Kylo any longer. Trying to match Kylos pace as he had been walking a little too fast, along with the fact that his strides were triple your own, you almost walked ahead until Kylo pulled you back by the waist. “What are you-”
Imagine Chris realizing he’s in-love with you. (Part B)
A/N: Part 4B, yay! This is honestly taking so long, I’m so sorry. The two of them are just insufferable. 😂 (Unexpected Reader - Part 1/Part 2/Part 3A/3B/Part 4A) Enjoy! X
You decided to skip the date with Sam after seeing Chris at your doorstep. You wanted to go, but you couldn’t do it; you couldn’t pretend to be interested in another man. So you left him- looking politely pissed as he was a nice guy and it was fairly obvious you were lying- with the excuse of a family emergency. Sam, compared to the other guys you’d agreed to date before you met Chris, was amazing; he shared your interests, he cared about you, he was funny and good looking and so ridiculously nice. You would’ve been lucky to date him, and you wouldn’t have mind if you had to date him, but that shouldn’t have been how it felt.
Falling in-love shouldn’t have felt like a chore, or like you were settling. You should have felt excitement and passion, but no, you felt nothing. Sam could’ve kissed you and you would’ve felt nothing because your mind would be thinking about Chris and how his lips would feel on yours instead. You knew when you said yes to Sam that you shouldn’t have, now you’d hurt the feelings of the nicest guy in your class because you couldn’t admit the one you were in-love with was Chris.
And now you were too late.
Since you couldn’t go home in fear of running into Chris, you spent your time wandering a mall instead. You bought things you didn’t need to distract yourself because retail therapy was something you always found incredibly effective. You then went to a movie alone, ‘Gifted’ was the movie you decided to watch. Again. This time, however, you entered the theatre feeling more vulnerable than when you watched it the first time. You were lucky there weren’t many people watching a 8:50PM movie on a Thursday night, because you sobbed like a baby and it wasn’t just because of the movie.
The second you saw Chris on screen, you broke down. He was the one and you weren’t going to get the life every being dreamed of when they found their soulmate. There wasn’t going to be a cute proposal, or a wedding. There wasn’t going to be a nice house, or a picket fence, or mini versions of you and him running around. There wasn’t going to be a surprise trips to Rome. There weren’t going to be articles about the two of you being a power couple, or taking home six Oscars with the film you made together. God, you weren’t even going to get to dance with him in your backyard listening to Ed Sheeran’s ‘Perfect’, because life wasn’t perfect and you couldn’t just write a story and expect it to come true.
The movie ended around 11:00PM and you took a cab back to your apartment. In the cab, when you finally turned on your phone- you saw text messages from both Ava and Chris. Ava sent you about five because she was understandably worried and confused by your absence in the apartment. You’d left at 1:30PM for a coffee date, you should’ve been home by 4:00PM at the latest. Ava knew you; you weren’t the type to prolong anything on the first date, especially considering the one you loved wasn’t the one you were with. You sent her a quick ‘I’m okay, on my way home’ text, then replied to Chris’ one which simply asked “are you okay?” Your thumb hovered over the send button as you reread your reply “no, we need to talk.” Were you really going to tell him now? Now that he was in a relationship with someone he undoubtedly could have forever with? Are you honestly that selfish? No, you weren’t. You deleted your four words and responded with a simple one, “perfect.”
The lights were out in the apartment by the time you arrived home, which meant Ava had gone to bed. She’d received and replied to your text; she knew you were okay now, so you’d didn’t blame her for not waiting up even though you could’ve used some company. It was nearly midnight and Ava had classes in the morning, unlike you who didn’t have anything on Fridays. You passed her room on the way to yours and quietly opened her door to leave a bag from Topshop by the foot of her bed; there was a dress you saw that you needed her to have.
“Hey,” you flinched when you heard her voice speak to you in the dark. “You okay?”
“Yeah, I’m good,” you lied with a forced smile that you were glad she couldn’t see and decipher. But she knew, she could hear it in your voice. “I’m sorry I worried and woke you,” you whispered, patting her foot through her blanket. “Go back to sleep, I’ll talk to you in the morning.”
“There’s something for you in your room,” she told you before rolling over to go back to sleep.
You quietly made your way back out, closing the door behind you. Your eyes narrowed as you walked to your room, you pushed open your ajar door and saw the bouquet of roses Chris had said were Ava’s and an envelope sitting on your bed. You lowered your shopping bags onto the ground and sat down on the edge of your bed as you picked the envelope up. It felt heavy, like there was a long, long letter waiting inside for you. You could tell by the handwriting that it was from Chris, you loved the way he’d scrawl everything else but write your name with utter perfection. You stared at it for a little while, contemplating whether or not you should read it. What could it have been? He always spoke to you in person, why did he need a letter now? Was this a letter ending your friendship because he was in a relationship now and the two of you were too close for Scarlett’s liking? You’d never even met the woman before, could she have known? You were terrified to read it, because what if after reading it, Chris was no longer in your life?
“Grow some fucking balls, Y/N,” you muttered to yourself before carefully ripping the envelope. You were right about it being a long letter, it was at least four pages. You decided to get comfortable before you started reading because you had a feeling it was going to be a bit of a read. Just in case, you grabbed your tissue box and settled it on your lap.
“He wrote a story,” you mumbled to yourself as soon as you caught sight of the first sentence.
She opened the letter wondering what he could possibly have to say to her, wondering why he couldn’t just say it to her in person. She was an irrational person with thoughts beyond herself; an imagination so wild and expectations so high that it both amazed and scared him. He knew when he gave her the letter that her mind would’ve had a hundred thoughts going at full speed before she even read it. She’d think a thousand bad things, and one good, because that was the kind of person she was; she spent her life searching for greatness and striving for perfection that she didn’t believe she deserve. She’d question everything good in her life, like they were just part of a vivid dream that she would wake up from. He was one of those things she questioned, and he didn’t understand it. To him, she was part of the vivid dream he was afraid he’d wake from. To him, he was the lucky one who didn’t deserve a girl like her.
The further she read, the more she realized he was writing her a letter because he felt the same way she did. She knew now why he chose to write instead of speak, because she was the same; she used written words as a way to articulate the constellation of thoughts she couldn’t use spoken words to. She also used her writing as a shield to hide behind so no one could see her cry, or hear how fast her heart was beating. She used writing to make sure she was the only voice one heard, and that was what he needed from her now; to hear him and nothing else.
How was that, Y/N? I’m not as big of a fan as English as you are, but I think I kind of nailed it. I just needed that to capture your attention as well as give you a bit of an introduction to what this letter is going to be about. You’re a writer, an incredibly talented writer, so you should be able to read between the lines of the first two paragraphs and realize that I, too, am in-love with you.
Yes, you read correctly.
I am in-love with you. Read it, read it again. I don’t care how many times you read that line, or this whole letter- I just need you to hear me and understand me. I am in-love with you, Y/N, and I want to be with you. I’m sorry it took me this long to tell you, I just couldn’t until I figure out why I loved you. I didn’t want to start something with you based on an illusion, and I didn’t want to love you because of the series. I wanted to be sure that what I was feeling- what we were feeling was because of who we are when we’re together now, not who were are when we’re in the story. I’m sorry if that doesn’t make sense and I’m sorry if I made you feel like I didn’t want to be with you because I did, and I do. From the moment I saw you at that check in talking to that little boy, Jasper, I wanted to be with you. Then you snapped at me and- God, I knew you were the one. I’m sorry I let fear get in the way, I’m sorry I wasted so much time not being the man you needed. But no more, I’m done being just friends.
I want more, I want a life with you. I’m sorry if I’m being too straight forward, but that is what I want. I know you’re only turning twenty and you’ve got this whole life ahead of you, so I’m not asking you to marry me. Yet. I’m going to marry you, oh- you bet I’m going to marry you. But I don’t have to marry you now, I’m very capable of waiting. I’ve waited almost thirty-six years to meet you, I can wait a little while longer to marry and start a life with you. I want you to go pursue your dreams first, write a screenplay for a big production company and win an Oscar. I’m going to be there with you every step of the way, just as I hope you will be there for me as I continue on my career’s journey.
I wouldn’t normally do something this extreme and futuristic, but you’re not a normal girl. You are the kind of girl who plans her entire life to the tee, you appreciate long term commitments and you don’t do causal well. You’re amazing and I’d be an idiot to let you walk away from me, even my mom said so. You haven’t met her, but she loves you already. If you agree to being with me, you can come with me to Boston on Sunday for the week. I’d love to spend some time with you (as your boyfriend) and have you meet my family before I have to go film Infinity War. I know this is a lot to process in a short amount of time, but I have a feeling you’ve thought about this before so it shouldn’t be hard for you to come up with an answer.
Call me when you’re ready to talk?
You read the last line and nearly fell face first as scrambled to your feet, grabbing your house keys and phone from your bag. There was no way you were going to just call him, you needed to see him in person. The smile on your face since reading the line 'I, too, am in-love with you’ hadn’t faltered. Christopher Robert Evans was in-love with you. It was time to go and do what Ava advised, “just grab that man and kiss him already.”

Kai Parker x Reader word count : 2 265 summary : reader is sick and kai takes care of her … NOTE : to the anon who requested it : i put a little twist , hope you don’t mind ;) *not my gif ____________________
It’s been almost a year now since Y/N started dating Kai , the powerful vampire witch heretic. They had started dating a little before he had turned and had continued dating after. He was charming , funny , hot as hell , his blue eyes were enough to make her knees go weak and his smile made her heart flutter every time. Kai kept calling her every few hours to check up on her. Y/N had gotten a cold and he had been worried sick about her , even tho every time he called she told him its nothing serious - just a fever and a runny nose… He had gone back to Portland for a few days to take care of some family stuff , pick up some grimoars and such and for some reason he felt guilty for leaving her alone so he cut his trip short and rushed back to Mystic Falls. She had been sick for a day and a half when he made it back to town , heading straight for her house. Kai opened one of the windows with magic and sneaked inside her house. He took a few steps inside and found her curled up into a ball on the couch wrapped up in her favorite blanket , a cup of tea on the small table and sighed. He hated the fact there was no way to stop this cold she had caught - there was a spell for pretty much everything but not this. Her nose was reddish and her skin burned to the touch , which meant her fever had returned. Last time they talked barely a few hours ago her fever had disappeared. Kai lifted her up gently bringing her towards his chest, the blanket hanging on the side as he carried her to her bed , tucking her in. Her eyes fluttered open and closed as she was fighting to wake up ,her hand reaching for his face. “Hey..” she said weakly. “Hey beautiful. How are you feeling?” he asked stroking her cheek gently. “Floaty.” she said trying to get up. “H-how did you get in here ?” Her voice were raspy but still the most beautiful sound he had heard. “Not important. I’ll take care of you OK. You just rest and I promise you , by the end of the day you will feel much better.” Kai said smiling. "Is there anything I can get you ? Tea ? Tissues ? Another blanket ?“ Y/N smiled. Kai was so caring and loving , it was unreal how no one else got to see this side of him. She tried to focus her vision but the fever wouldn’t let it happen. “No .. no , nothing.” she said curling up into a ball. “You should go.. I don’t want to get you sick too.” “I don’t get sick , remember?” Kai said softly. Y/N hummed an answer , her hand holding his. “Rest up sweetheart.” he said , leaning in kissing her forehead. A few minutes later she drifted off into sleep again. Kai covered her with another blanket and headed towards the kitchen. He was going to make her his special soup. About an hour and later , a loud noise came from Y/N’s room , as if something being knocked over. Kai rushed towards her room only to find the bed empty , her night stand lamp on the ground. Then he heard a sound again , a different sound this time , coming from the bathroom , the door semi open. He took a few steps towards it , resting against the wall next to it. “Y/N? Are you OK?” he asked. “Can I come in?” “No. No , don’t. Arhg this is gross…” she wiped a few sweat drops from her forehead. “We haven’t been together long enough for you to see gross.” Then came the sound again. He couldn’t take not knowing what was happening , pushed the door open and saw her sitting by the toilet seat. “I hate being sick.” she muttered. “Go away… I don’t want you to see me like this.” “Now , what kind of a boyfriend would I be if I leave you alone in a moment like this?” he said softly. “Come on , sweetheart. You know me better than that. There is nothing you can say that will make me leave.” Kai sat on the edge of the bathtub , stroking her hair. Y/N looked paler , kind of greenish too. “Uh-oh…” she said , turning towards the toilet again. Kai was fast enough to pull her hair back for her , starring anywhere but at her in this moment. Not because it was gross or anything , he didn’t care about that. No , he just couldn’t watch her like this … suffering. His gaze fell on a small box on the sink , he tried to get a better look at it but in that moment she tried to get up and nearly slipped , his hands catching her in mid air. He helped her wash up and get back to her bed. She sat there bringing her knees up and wrapping her arms around them , Kai sitting next to her. “Have you been puking the past few days too ?” he asked. He was starting to get really worried. Colds rarely included puking … more like never , actually. Losing fluids and not having enough food in her system was bad , no wonder she looked so pale. “No , I um … its the first day this had happened.” she said. “Jeez , I legitemately feel better now.” Y/N laughed for a few seconds , laying on the bed and starring at the ceiling. He laughed nervously , taking her hand. “Better enough to come have some of my special soup ?” Y/N’s eyes widened. “You made me your special soup?” she got up so fast , Kai had to pull her back a little. “Not so fast , princess.” he laughed. Kai knew why she was so excited , his special soup was her favorite. “We don’t want you getting stomach sick again , do we?” “Right.” she nodded and got up slowly , only to be swept off her feet bridal style by Kai. He carried her to the kitchen , slowly letting her feet on the ground so she doesn’t get dizzy. Kai’s special soup was reserved for special occasions and emergencies. She had no clue how he had come up with the recipe , just knew there was something magical about it because somehow it always made things better. “You are the best boyfriend ever !” she said smiling , as he left a bowl with soup in front of her , sitting on the chair next to her. Y/N reached for the spoon but Kai wouldn’t let her. “Kai … I’m sick not a baby.” she said with a pouty face. “I am going to feed you and that’s it.” he said completely ignoring the puppy dog eyes she was giving him. “Awh stop being cute.” Kai winked at her. Y/N rolled her eyes , there was no point in arguing with him - he always got what he wanted. “Waiting for the air plane..” she said laughing. “Hilarious.” he said suppressing a laugh , bringing a spoon full of soup towards her mouth. “It’s not too hot is it?” “It’s absolutely perfect ! Just like you..” she said , reaching for the spoon. “Nah-uh …” Kai said moving the spoon out of her reach. “Don’t make me pin your hands with magic to the chair.” Y/N sighed , there was no way he’d try to do that but she wasn’t in the mood to risk it. Instead she reached for his hand , holding it tightly and looking at him thinking how lucky she was to have him. Most people ran the other way when they saw him , thinking he is this dangerous sociopath … and he was capable of being that , but not with her. Somehow she had reached his heart in a way no one before her had been able to. Spoon by spoon the soup disappeared from the bowl and she started feeling better. “Kai ? Could you bring me my blanket please ?” she asked. “Um , yeah sure… since you asked so nicely.” he winked at her and whooshed towards her room , returning a few seconds later with her blanket , covering her shoulders. He took a few steps away from her , starring at the window for a moment before turning back to her. “Hey , um … whats that ?” he said , holding in his hands the small box he had found on the sink earlier. “Pregnancy test ? Why … why do you have that?” Y/N’s eyes widened , it had completely slipped her mind he might see this… then again he had been away for 2 days … “I um … I’m late.” she said. “I bought it a few days ago , but then I got sick with that stupid cold and … forgot about it.” Y/N laughed nervously getting up , taking the few steps separating them , swiftly getting the tiny box from his hands. He looked more nervous than her. “So … so you … haven’t ? Are you ..?” he stared at her , his expression unreadable. He was at a loss for words. Why would she have that ? He was a vampire , he couldn’t procreate … then he remembered a story about the hybrid Klaus and how no one had seen coming him becoming a father. What if him being a witch/vampire hybrid and Y/N being a witch too had the same loophole ? “I’m not cheating , if thats what got you so nervous…” she said taking his hand. “No , of course not.” he said squeezing her hand. “It’s just rooted in my brain , when you are late more than a few days - take a test. It’s why I bought it … I don’t even know why , it’s not like we can - ” Kai lifted her shirt slightly and placed his hand on her stomach. What if … what if it was possible ? Things that seem impossible to regular people happen , specially when it comes to supernatural beings. He smiled nervously. Y/N looked at him with curious eyes … was there something she was missing ? A part of her had been hoping one day she’d become a mother , but she also knew it was impossible to have that with Kai , not that it mattered to her - he was more than enough and they could always adopt a kid. Did he like the idea of becoming a father ? He had never mentioned it … “Take the test.” Kai said reassuringly. “I want to know … What if it’s possible?” “Wait … are you saying that .. that you want this ?” she asked , a nervous smile on her face. Kai leaned in and kissed her in a surprise attack. “You are my family Y/N… I love you with all my heart and soul… and if there is mini you or me growing inside you it just means …our family will grow.” he said smiling. “What if it’s nature’s loophole like with Klaus Mikaelson and that werewolf girl?” Y/N had expected any other reaction but this one. He wanted this , just as much as she did apparently… if the test came out negative both of them would be crushed. “O-kay. I’ll take the test.” “Could you do it now ?” he asked , smiling nervously. “N-now ?” she stuttered and he nodded. Kai practically pushed her towards the bathroom for her to take the test. He sat by the door waiting for her and like 5 minutes later she opened the door. Y/N looked sad or shocked - Kai couldn’t tell because her expression changed every few seconds , she was starring at the floor at first , holding the white stick in her hand her thumb covering the spot where the results show. “W-what … what did it say?” Kai asked with a worried expression. He had been nervous up until the point he had seen her walk out , not looking at him. “Y/N? What did it say ?” Y/N looked up at him smiling and jumped into his arms startling him for a moment , wrapping her legs around his waist. “Loopholes…” she muttered more to herself than to him. She locked eyes with his unable to stop smiling. “Start thinking of baby names , Malachai Parker. You are going to be a father.” “Oh my God !” Kai said smiling , kissing her a second later. “I never thought …” He let her feet down on the ground gently , kneeling in front of her before lifting up her shirt enough to kiss her stomach , his smile never fading away. He got up , wrapped his arms around her and twirled her again , both of them smiling and laughing. “I love you , Y/N !” he said. “I love you , I love you , I love you !” “I love you too Malachai.” she said through laughter , right before Kai kissed her again. He hadn’t realised how much he had wanted this until it had happened and he felt more complete in that moment than ever before.
~warning sadness cuteness mentions of death and cussing ~
It’s been several months since Cas’s death. Sam found out something that he tried to tell Dean. About Cas but, every time he tried Dean got distant. It was late at night Sam was outside near the bunker looking at the stars. Staring at the brightest one.
“Cas I know since your death you’ve been watching us. I just wish Dean would listen. Wish he could feel you and maybe he could tell you how he feels about you I know you can hear us.” He sighs and stares at the star so bright so beautiful.
Dean came stumbling out of the bunker about half drunk. He stood by Sam and he too looked up. Dean scratched his head then looked at his little brother.
“Sammy what the hell you doing out here? I mean just staring at the stars, I tried asking Chuck to bring Cas back but i got no answer.” Dean sighed as he closed his eyes.
“ No I’ve been talking to Cas I have been for awhile. He watches over us always. Dean try talking to him he can hear you and if you listen you can hear him too.” Sam said quietly looking at Dean.
“Sammy this is so crazy just so you know. I’m gonna play along though I mean what do I have to lose. I already lost my everything. So what star is it Sammy?” Asked Dean as he still stared at the stars.
Sam points up at a star that was shining really bright. It put all the other stars to shame. It was so beautiful Dean was apeachless for a moment.
“That must be the star.” Dean whispered halfway to himself.
Sam nodded quietly still looking up “talk to him Dean it’ll help.” Sam said rubbing his back.
Dean took a deep breath cleared his throat. He let his mind wonder back to some fun times him and Cas shared. No matter how bad things bad got Cas always seemed to make him happy.
“Cas if you can hear me man. Answer me one damn question. Why’d the fuck did you do it? Why did you fucking leave me. You were the one who liked calling people assbutts. Well damn it Cas you must be the biggest assbutt I know.” Dean stopped for a moment to choke back some tears he didn’t want to cry in front of Sammy.
“Cas I miss you man I really miss you.” Dean said this next part really low in hopes Sam couldn’t hear. “Cas it may be a little too late for me to say this but, I was never good of letting my feelings out. Cas i love you I mean I really love you. Just wish I could have told you when you were alive but i didn’t know how.“Dean tried but he couldn’t stop the tears from pouring out.
Sam hearing every word Dean said just held his brother close. As Dean cried in to his brother he felt a warm feeling shoot through body. Dean heard Cas’s voice inside his head.
“I love you too Dean I’ll be watching over you guys. I’ll try my best to come back to you. I promise I’ll come back to you Dean.” Cas’s voice was calm and soothing.
Dean smiled he knew in his heart Cas would return. It would be hard waiting for that day to come. But at least now he knows he has a guardian angel watching over him. When Cas returns Dean is get him in a bear hug and never let him go.

Chris’ eyes scanned across the array of gelato flavors, making soft sounds with his lips as he tried to decide; a splitting image of Jack when he had to decide over an array of cereals. You wrapped your arm around Chris’, chuckling softly. “You know I thought leaving Jack behind meant not having to go through this, but you are just the same.”
“Okay,” he chuckled. “I don’t see you with gelato,” he retorted, “have you decided?”
“Yeah,” you laughed and pointed at the register where your two scoops were waiting patiently in a cup; you’d decided on ‘Pistachio’ and 'Dark Chocolate’ wanting to stray away from your go-to flavors 'Cookies & Cream’ and 'Salted Caramel’. “And it’s melting, so hurry it up.” You pulled away from him and walked over to the register so you could start eating while Chris decided.
“Your husband hasn’t changed, has he?” Lorenzo, the owner, laughed softly as the two of you watched Chris. You’d met and befriended Lorenzo on your honeymoon four years ago. He’d loved you and Chris, saying the two of you reminded him of him and his late wife when they were young and knee-deep in-love.
“Nope,” you shook your head, smiling.
“Can I try the tiramisu, please?” He asked the attendant then looked over at you, smiling when you chuckled at him. You both already knew what flavors he was going to walk out with; 'Cookies and Cream’ and 'Coffee’. He stuck with what he knew and loved, but he also liked trying everything else first which made the process grueling. “Oh, this is nice. What’s that one in the back like?” He quizzed, getting another small taste test.
You were almost halfway through yours when he finally ordered his usual after tasting another four flavors. He was lucky he was Captain America and the owner was a friend, otherwise they’d kick him out for trying almost every flavor in their display case. After Chris paid for the gelato with a massive tip, you both thanked Lorenzo for his hospitality and made your way out of their store and onto the streets of the beautiful city of Rome which hadn’t changed since your last visit. Rome was always going to hold a special place in both your hearts as it was where you’d spent your honeymoon, and so far- this trip was proving to be just as magical.
“What would you like to do today?” Chris asked, draping an arm around you; he’d squish you every time he tried to spoon ice-cream into his mouth, making you laugh. “Sorry,” he chuckled and you smiled, kissing his jaw. “Anyway, what would you like to do today? We can hit up all the spots we did when we honeymooned, redo Rome?”
“I don’t mind as long as I’m redoing Rome with you.”
“You’re sweeter than my gelato, you know that?” He smiled and kissed the side of your head. “Okay then, I’ll tour guide the trip. First stop…” He trailed off, taking a moment to ponder. “Oh, yes. What do you say we go recreate our kiss photo on the Spanish Steps?”
“That’s really cheesy, Chris,” you made a face, trying not to laugh as you teased him.
“Yeah,” his face fell slightly as he tried to make his case, “but that’s one of my favorite pic-”
“I’m kidding,” you giggled and he smiled, “I’d love to.” You tip-toed and pecked him on the lips.
“Guess I’m not the only one who hasn’t changed,” he chuckled, squishing you again as he nursed his gelato. “You’re still as cheeky as ever.” He scooped the tiniest bit of gelato onto his spoon. “But then again, so am I.” He poked you in the nose with his gelato then pulled away from you, laughing when you scoffed. “You’ve got a bit of-” he choked on his laughter, grabbing his left pec. “Hey, no!” He dodged your attempt to get back at him, still bellowing with laughter as he jogged a small distance away from you.
“I’m going to get you back,” you warned playfully, trying not to smile.
Despite the fact that you’d been together for nine years and were parents now, things between the two of you were still exciting and lively, fun and playful. It didn’t matter how many more years were yet to come, you and Chris both knew that you wouldn’t become one of those boring, old married couples with nothing to do and nothing to talk about. There was a promise made to always keep the romance alive, it didn’t matter how big or small the gesture was- it was the thought and the effort that counted. You’d both lived up to it so far- Chris going above and beyond with this trip- and you’d continue to live up to it as long as you were together.
“Aw, baby,” he cooed, pouting mockingly, “I am sure you will.” You tried not to laugh as you pursed your lips tightly. “C'mere, you messy girl.” He walked back over to you, using the back of his hand to wipe the gelato from your nose. “There we go,” he wiped his hand on his jeans, “back to perfection.”
“But now your jeans are sticky.”
“Yeah, but what’s new around you?” He smirked and you burst into laughter; he laughed as you playfully shoved him. “Wow, that was so crude,” he laughed, wrapping an arm around you as the two of you continued towards the Spanish Steps. “Oh my God, I am so sorry. It’s like I just have a constant stream of bad jokes in my head,” he chuckled.
“I can’t say that was your worst though,” you said; he chuckled when you did. “Aren’t you lucky I married you anyway?” You teased, looking up and smiling at him. Believe it or not, you lived for his terrible jokes; just like he lived for your perfectionism. Those things were part of who you were, part of the reason why one fell for the other. It may have been annoying to others, but it was adorable to you and Chris.
“Incredibly,” he smiled.
You found the Spanish Steps like you did the last trip, around the corner from Lorenzo’s gelato store. There were many tourists like the two of you taking photos and eating gelato on the steps, it was one of the must-see places when one visited Rome. You and Chris finished your gelato and tossed the paper cups away before you went in search of the spot you’d taken your kiss photo four years ago. It wasn’t that hard to find, Chris had it seared in his mind; it was his favorite photo after all. It was his phone’s background up until the birth of Jack, then he’d changed it to the photo that Jimmy Fallon showed at the interview; the one of the four of you. Chris looked around for someone to help take the photo, American tourists found you first.
“Oh my God, it’s Chris Evans and Y/N Y/L/N,” a girl in her twenties and her friends lit up at the sight of the two of you. “This is amazing! We’re such huge fans!” You and Chris smiled. “Do you want us to help you guys take a photo?”
“That’d be awesome,” Chris nodded and passed them his phone before rejoining you. “What?” He chuckled when you chuckled, burying your face in his chest. “Are you embarrassed?” He teased, poking your side as he wrapped his arms around you like he did the last time.
“Aren’t you, Mr. I-hate-the-limelight?”
“Never when I’m with you,” he told you, smiling. “When you’re around, you’re all I see. Why do you think I do red carpet events so well around you? It’s 'cause you’re the only thing I think about, I focus on you and everything else just fades away.”
“Aw,” you smiled. “Okay then, let’s take this photo and give your fans a story to tell.” He chuckled and looked over at the girls, nodding at them before drawing you in for a passionate kiss. You could hear them squealing as the camera flash went off. You wanted to laugh at their reaction but Chris’ kiss just took you to another dimension, giving the 'everything else just fades away’ experience. “Okay,” you giggled, breaking the kiss. “I think they got it.”
“I don’t think so,” he chuckled, giving you another quick kiss before pulling away to take his phone back from the girls. “Thank you, ladies. Y/N and I really appreciate the help,” he told them and they smiled at him before smiling at you. “Do you want a group photo before we go?” He asked, holding out his hand for you to take.
Chris pulled you to his side, you both shared a smile before turning your attentions to one of the girls’ phones. The camera shutter went off and they thanked both of you before leaving you to your peace. Chris took your hand, leading you away from the Spanish Steps and onto your next destination. You chuckled softly when he entwined his fingers with yours.
“What?” He quizzed, chuckling softly.
“Nothing,” you shook your head. “I’m just wondering how long it’ll take for the guys to call when that photo goes viral,” you told him and he laughed. “They all know you very well, there’s no doubt that they’ll figure out the real reason for this trip.”
“There’s no real reason, there’s just one reason and that’s work.” He said and you laughed. “Work for my job of being the best husband ever,” he added, chuckling. “But what they don’t know won’t hurt them.”
I sighed heavily as I gripped at the manila folder in hand, the anger boiling deep inside me while Graham, yet again as per usual, made an asshole comment toward Zach, our overweight group member.
“You’re so fat, man,” he muttered, making a face in disgust. “So fat…”
I pressed my lips together as I tried to hold back my own snarky comment, but bit my tongue instead. With that he finally dismissed our team for the day.
As I collected the rest of my things and began heading out, I could feel myself deeply regretting the decision to ever come in for an internship at Google for the summer before my graduating year from Stanford. Well, more like I regretted ever agreeing to team up with Graham.
I rolled my eyes as he eyed me up and down the minute I began making my way toward the exit. From the get go, I knew he hadn’t bothered to pick me for his team based on my merit, but merely because of my looks. He made that extremely clear.
“Will I be seeing you later then, beautiful?” he smirked.
“Nope,” I stated simply, slamming the folder right into his chest and making my way out. He huffed out in slight annoyance, but desire.
“Always playing hard to get,” he said through his accent, not bothering to hide his smirk. “I love it.”
Ignoring the comment, I immediately reached down for my purse in attempt to pull out my phone and distract myself a little further while I continued to walk. I huffed out in annoyance as I continued to dig, but couldn’t find it. An audible gasp and small shriek escaped my lips as I ran into someone.
“Whoa, whoa,” an unfamiliar voice cried out, reaching out for my arms and quickly grounding me. “I’m so sorry about that!”
I quickly turned over to look directly into a wrinkled smile and kind blue eyes. Instantly, I was able to recognize one of the older interns Graham was so set on destroying.
“You’re fine,” I breathed out before finally gripping the familiar lump and pulling out my phone from my purse. “Thank you.” With that I lowered my gaze onto the screen and attempted to maneuver my way past the old man.
“Whoa, whoa, hang on there,” he began, his hands pulling me back by the arms. “You’re (Y/N), right? Part of Graham’s team?”
“Yeah,” I nodded, looking up to him, my brows furrowing slightly.
“I’m Nick,” he smiled, dropping his hold on me and extending a hand for me to take.
“Pleasure,” I responded rather curtly as I looked back down to my phone screen.
“Look at you,” he seemed to chuckle. “You remind me of a certain team member of my own. Nose always stuck to that small four-inch screen. Uh, maybe you’ve met him.” He made a gesture and I barely glanced in time to watch him point over to someone in the distance. My eyes followed. “Stuart. Stuart Twombly.”
The minute my gaze landed on the boy, I felt my throat constrict and my cheeks burn up. Of course I knew who Stuart Twombly was. We both had gone to the same high school, graduated the same year, hung around the same crowd of people. He was the same boy I had been crushing on since my freshman year. However, he never knew I even existed.
It was a huge surprise when I came to find out that he had joined the Google internship program as well. That first day, when we were split up into groups, I had hoped to join him, but Graham beat me before I could even approach the boy.
During the first challenge, I would steal glances toward him every now and then. Watch as him and his team mates would frantically write against the clear board trying to figure out the bug in the code. However, the minute he’d take notice that someone was watching, I’d instantly look away. It wasn’t until the second challenge that I tried to interact with him, but as usual, he was glued to his phone. During the second half of Quidditch, I purposely dropped the quaffle in order for Stuart to get a hold of it and score for his own team, earning them the big win. For a brief moment we exchanged smiles that day, but it never went past that.
“I take that as in you do know him?” Nick gave a laugh, snapping me back into reality.
“I—I might have been acquainted with him,” I stammered, lowering my gaze yet again as my face only grew hotter.
“Whoa, wait a minute,” his expression seemed to twist into that of sneaking suspicion. “Do I detect a little something for our little Stewie?”
“N—No. I don’t know what you’re talking about,” I cleared my throat and held my head high, straightening my composure as if to seem uninterested. “You guys are the enemy, according to Graham. The competition. And besides, Google policy is: say no to love. Even if I was interested—which I’m not—it’s not going to happen.”
“Now, now,” he shook his head and chuckled. “I can see straight through the act. There’s no need to pretend you’re even on that asshole’s side. I’m sure you’re a pretty smart girl. Maybe a current student attending UCLA or something—”
“Stanford,” I corrected.
“Even better,” Nick shrugged. “You know that following Graham will only take you so far. And policy or not… You gotta live a little sometimes. I mean take me for instance; I was told I’m not allowed to go after a certain sexy Australian in management, but yet I took a chance and asked her out to dinner some time.” He paused as he looked down to me, pointing a finger. “Now I saw that glint in your eye. It was just enough to tell me everything I need to know.”
“Which is?” I gulped slightly.
“You care about Stu. You’re interested,” he smirked slightly. “And a little birdy once told me… He seems to be pretty interested in you too. Do with that what you will.” He seemed to shrug before walking off. “It was nice meeting you, (Y/N).”
I squinted my gaze as I watched him walk off toward his group, clapping his hand with Stuart in greeting before getting back to their own work. The boy’s eyes flickered over to me briefly, a small awkward smile creeping upon his lips before tentatively waving toward me with two fingers. Could the bump in have been on purpose?
Later that day, I sighed heavily as I slammed the empty tray over the bar counter, my calves burning and my feet throbbing with regret. Much like every other night I took up a shift at the bar, my body begged me to stop wearing heels. However, that seemed to be nearly impossible with the kind of job I had.
Even though Google provided me with a lot of things, I still had bills to pay, and the internship was just that… An internship. Meaning, I had no money whatsoever. With that being said, I took up a part time job as a waitress slash bartender at a local strip club.
Sure, I could have easily taken up a waitressing job at any other restaurant or bar, but Brass Rail was known for its huge tips. In one shift, I could easily pay for my car and phone bill. And the best part about it all, I didn’t have to take my clothes off for the money either. However, policy did state that my appearance had to be presentable. And by presentable, I mean I had to wear promiscuous outfits, especially if I wanted to make great tips for the night.
“Why don’t you take the rest of the night off?” Patty, the bartender for the night, asked as she wiped the bar counter clean. The woman was a few years older, but she had become a really close friend of mine and she most definitely looked out for me. “You’ve been working hard for the past couple of days. And besides, shouldn’t you be back at home working with your team to create that new app or whatever?”
“No, Graham got it all covered,” I said with a roll of my eyes.
“Either way, I think we’ve got it covered. The night’s still young, maybe you should go out and have some fun!” Patty encouraged as her lips curved into a playful smile. “Maybe find yourself a cute boy or something. You’re always too busy with your internship and here that you never have any time for yourself. Find yourself a cutie.” It took me a minute to realize she was nodding toward the entrance. “Kinda like that one.”
My eyes flew over to the door, quickly landing on the familiar boy that stood at the front of his group, nose buried deep into his phone. Instantly, I felt my eyes go wide as I caught sight of his friend and team mate, Nick. He quickly grinned as he noticed me and began reaching out for Stuart, who didn’t bother to acknowledge him.
“Oh no,” I gasped, quickly spinning around and gripping at the counter behind me.
“What?” Patty asked. “What’s the matter, sugar?”
“I—I know him,” I stammered.
The music continued to blare throughout the club, the bass bouncing, while Patty took a moment to herself and gasping.
“Ahhh! I see where this is going!” she shouted over the sound. “You like the boy, don’t cha?”
“Kinda,” I admitted guiltily as I turned back to her feeling myself wanting to panic. “But he’s never noticed me.”
“Then make him notice you,” Patty smirked. I gasped as she suddenly reached over the counter and toward my already see-through romper, ripping at the buttons in order to reveal more of my black laced bralette and stopping just an inch before my belly button. She ran her hands through my hair, adjusting it before turning me back to face the group. “Now grow some ovaries and go to him!”
I stared at the boy with wide eyes for a moment before sucking in a deep breath and starting my way over to them. You could do this. You got this, (Y/N). “By the way! You’re officially off the clock! So whatever you do from here on out won’t be held against you!” Patty shouted after me.
“Show you to your table?” One of the topless girls asked as she approached the group. Her eyes landed on Stuart, about to make a move before I stopped her in her tracks.
“I’ll take care of this one,” I assured her with a small smile. He hadn’t bothered to tear his gaze away from his phone.
“Great big world out there, my friend,” Nick said, his fingers making their way under the boy’s chin. “Just three inches up, I beg you.”
His eyes slowly lifted, growing slightly as he finally noticed who stood before him. I bit my lower lip as I felt a surge of confidence grow from within me.
“Hey,” I greeted simply.
“Hey,” he said breathlessly.
“(Y/N),” he nodded, seeming dazed. “I know.”
Nick’s lips curved into a huge grin as he pushed him toward me.
“Experience the world, Stewie,” he encouraged. “There’s a whole lot more outside that phone screen.” I looked over to Nick, nodding in appreciating before turning back to the dazed boy that stood before me.
“What—what are you doing here?” Stuart asked.
“I work here,” I responded, taking his hand and leading them to their table.
“I’m not a stripper,” I laughed as I turned over my shoulder to look at him. “I’m a waitress slash bartender. I needed something to pay the bills while I’m doing this internship at Google.”
“In that case, you can hook us up right?” Nick asked as he rushed his way forward. I grinned and nodded.
“Shots on me, guys,” I said, coming to a stop and turning over to Stuart. “But only if this one dances with me after.”
He pushed on his glasses and opened his mouth as he turned to his friends, unsure of what to say before Nick and the others nodded in encouragement.
“O—Okay,” Stuart agreed.
Everybody cheered as I made my way over to the table, carrying the large tray containing the fourteen shots of tequila.
“Before we do this, (Y/N), meet Billy, Lyle, Neha, Yo-Yo, and of course you know Stuart,” Nick quickly tried to introduce as he clapped his two hands together. “Now we can all indulge into some good ol’ shots knowing each other’s names! Let’s go!”
“It’s about time this group had a night,” the other man, known as Billy said.
“Let the good times roll!” Nick shouted.
“Bingo!” Billy agreed.
“There’s two for everyone,” I grinned as I placed the tray down and my way over in order to sit next to Stuart.
“Alright, here we go!” Nick cheered, picking up a shot and handing it over to the boy known as Yo-Yo. “Bottoms up, bud!”
“Oh, I—I can’t,” he stammered.
“What? You’re twenty-one right?” Nick asked.
“Yeah, but my mom says alcohol numbs the brain,” Yo-Yo shook his head.
“Look, I’m not saying a shot of tequila’s the first step on the journey to self-respect, but goddamn, maybe it’s a step in the right direction. Maybe?” Nick finished off, handing him the shot as we all took one in our hands. “Your call.”
The boy hesitated for a moment.
“One shot!” Yo-Yo finally said, holding up a finger rather sternly.
“You’re gonna want that other one, dude,” I grinned as I edged myself closer to the table, holding out my shot.
“Anyways, CHEERS!” Billy shouted as we all brought our shot glasses and clanged them together before taking the swig of alcohol.
“To the night you’ll never remember!” Nick cheered.
We all turned to Yo-Yo as he was the last to take his shot. He hesitated for a moment before forcing the liquid down and shutting his eyes tightly. We all waited for a moment as he shot up out of his seat and began screaming.
“YEAH!” He shouted.
“All right!” Everyone cheered.
“One more!” Yo-Yo cried out, reaching out for his other shot glass.
I gripped at Stuart’s hand and intertwined our fingers the minute we finished our last shot and began leading him to a clear opening. Whether it was the new found confidence that began blossoming after Patty or maybe it was the tequila taking over, I felt myself growing comfortable enough to dance.
“Holy shit,” Stuart breathed out as I turned my back to him and wrapped his hands around my waist, moving my hips along with the rhythm. I gave a satisfied smirk as I pressed myself against him, allowing him to move along with me.
We had gotten halfway through the song, grinding against one another before he stopped. Stuart quickly turned me around, keeping his hands over my waist while I wrapped my arms around his neck, enjoying the closeness.
“Can we talk?” He finally asked, gulping slightly.
My smile faded as I looked up to him, letting my hands slide down from his shoulders to his chest.
“Yeah sure,” I nodded. He took up my hand and lead me back to the table, where the rest of the interns had cleared up in order to have their own fun. We both sat down, Stuart instantly dropping his hold on my hand before wiping it against his jeans and looking down.
“Uh. I—I have to confess something,” he stammered.
“What is it?” I asked, my brows furrowing slightly, attempting to scoot closer to him.
He hesitated for a moment, noticing the closing space between us.
“Is it horrible timing to say I’ve liked you since freshman year of high school?” He asked. My smile faded slightly as my eyes widened. “Maybe it’s the tequila talking…”
“N—No. I—I mean, you have?”
He simply nodded.
“I just never thought I’d even get the chance to do this with you,” he admitted, finally finding the courage within himself to turn to me and motioning between the two of us. “I always figured you didn’t know I even existed. I mean, I know I’m not the greatest person ever. I don’t like people and I hide behind snarky comments, so I come off as an asshole, but…” His eyes softened. “I like you. You’ve been the only person I’ve ever really liked.”
I kept my silence as my expression lifted in awe.
“When I saw that you took this internship at Google, you were the only person I wanted to team up with. Especially knowing your background. I mean, you were Valedictorian in high school, so obviously you’re really smart—like, really smart. So, when I saw you walk in through those doors, I thought… maybe this is my second chance, my time to grow some balls and actually talk to you and work with you, but then I saw Graham beat me to it, so I gave up,” he lowered his gaze again as he shrugged. “I grew bitter. Became more of an asshole… I just didn’t want to team up with anybody else.” I pressed my lips together as I felt myself smile.
“I like you too, Stuart,” I finally said, taking up his hand. He looked up to me, surprise lining his features. “If I’m being honest, I’ve liked you since freshman year too. I just didn’t have the courage to talk to you and get to know you better back then.”
His lips curved into a small smirk as looked to me from the corner of his eye, a new sort of confidence about him showing.
“Well, in that case… wanna start over?”
I chuckled and felt my smile turn into a grin.
“I’d like that,” I nodded.
“Drinks?!” I heard a familiar voice shout over the booming music. Quickly turning over, I finally noticed Patty standing around with a tray full of shots, a smirk plastered over her face.
“YEAH!” Yo-Yo cheered as the others came swarming in for their drinks.
After a few more shots and other various drinks, both Stuart and I began to loosen up. Talking and laughing the night away. Just a few feet ahead of us Neha began bouncing up and down, before running up and taking me by the hands and leading me to the dancefloor. I quickly turned back and grabbed a hold of Stuart’s hand, bringing him along.
The beat began to pick up and I moved my body to the rhythm while Neha tried to grind against me. I laughed as Stuart stood back, dancing about rather awkwardly. An idea suddenly sparked as Neha was dragged away by one of the various strippers in order to receive a lap dance. The tequila was definitely taking over this time.
I led Stuart back to the table before tossing him back into the comfortable chairs. His glasses fumbled a bit before he pushed them back with a laugh. I smirked before quickly climbing over him, straddling him and giving into the music. My first official lap dance over the guy I had been crushing on for six years.
My hands ran through his dark hair, his glasses messing up along the process as I drew closer to his face. His own hands made their way down to my hips, moving me along his lap. I smirked as I lowered myself just inches away from his lips.
“Look at what we got cooking here!” Billy laughed as we both continued to move along. “Ready?” I snorted and moved in order to rest my head over Stuart’s shoulder as the giggling took over the minute a flash of light spotted over us and Billy finished taking our picture.
“Exchangeagram moment, bitches!” he cried out, while the two guys high fived.
I threw my head back and laughed as I continued to grind against the boy once Billy left us to our private moment. The tequila was definitely talking for me as I lowered myself once again, my body not bothering to stop. My hands gripped at Stuart’s face as he watched in amazement, slowly lowering them down to his shoulders. I bit the corner of my lip for a moment as I drew closer to him. He stopped, having caught on as one of his hands made their way over to the crook of my neck. Our breaths slowed down as they came out in low shallow huffs. Without further hesitation, we both collided, our lips finally connecting. Whether it was the alcohol or something more, my head swirled and for a moment I could have sworn that sparks flew from all around. The whole place seemed to grow quiet for a moment. It was just the two of us and from deep inside, I felt a surge of emotions begin to pour out into the long awaited kiss. The moment I had been anticipating was finally happening and it completely surpassed any fantasy I had ever had. He was an amazing kisser and the chemistry was beyond what I had ever imagined. The make out session ensued the minute we began to move our lips against one another.
“(Y/N)?!” A familiar voice called out from behind. I quickly pulled away with a gasp, my whole body tensing up. “What the hell are you doing with these losers?!”
“Graham,” I muttered, turning my attention to the boy.
“I’ve been calling you fifty thousand times,” he held out his phone, his brows merging. “Zach said you’d be at work, but I see you’ve been doing far more than just work.”
I quickly climbed off of Stuart and looked down in shame. Even though I hated the guy, I didn’t want to be kicked off the team. It was still a great opportunity to work at Google, even if that meant I had to deal with Graham the entire time. If I was kicked out, there went my chances.
“You’re coming back with me,” he demanded, snatching up my wrist and pulling me with him. “We have work to do!” I tried to yank myself away, but it was useless. Turning back, I noticed the anger flicker over Stuart’s face as I stared back apologetically, stumbling behind Graham. It was bound to happen, being a part of his team, I wasn’t allowed to interact with the competition. Especially Stuart.
“Whoa, whoa, whoa,” Nick held out his hands in the air as he stepped between the exit and Graham. “What seems to be the problem here?”
“It’s not any of your business, old geezers,” he spat out, attempting to maneuver past the two.
“Come on take it easy,” Nick grinned as a few other guys began approaching the scene. Graham’s posse no doubt. “Is this the Jets and the Sharks all of a sudden? Montague and Capulets?” Stuart pushed his way through, finally facing Graham and his grip suddenly tightened around my wrist. He smirked as he pulled my body closer to him, wrapping an arm around my waist. I cringed and tried to push away from him as he lowered his face to mine.
“(Y/N) is part of my team. She’s my girl, isn’t that right, sweetheart?” He drawled out as he tried to kiss my cheek. My brows furrowed and I pushed him back, the anger I felt obvious by now.
“I’m not your girl!” I spat back. This seemed to please him as he gave a laugh.
“She sure loves to play hard to get,” Graham smirked, turning to the others. “Now, if you’ll excuse us. We need to get back on track to beating you guys.” He turned to me, wrapping an arm around my waist. “Come on beautiful.”
I made a face and tried to push away his arm.
“Get off of me—”
“Don’t touch her,” Stuart grumbled, stepping before the two grown men that tried to hold him back, his hands shaking as he balled them into fists. Yo-Yo, Neha, and Lyle soon appeared just behind.
“Oh yeah?” Graham huffed, seeming amused. “What are you going to do about it?”
I gasped as the strobe lights suddenly turned on and the fighting began. Stuart was the first to throw a punch and lock against Graham’s jaw. Indistinct shouts began to echo throughout the place as the others joined in.
“Stop!” I cried out, trying to pull Stuart away from Graham.
“AHHHHH!!!!” Yo-Yo ferociously yelled as he climbed over a table and jumped on someone’s back. I shrieked and stepped back as Graham fell over on his back, Stuart punching furiously.
“STOP!” I shouted again.
“Stay away from MY girl!” Stuart cried out, his hands gripping at Graham’s collar before raising him for a second and slamming him right back down. My eyes widened slightly as I stared in both shock and awe. He had called me his girl.
“My mother hits harder than you!” Yo-Yo shouted, instantly snapping me back into reality.
“YEAH! Down goes Frazier! Whoo!” Neha cheered as she kicked someone’s groin. “What’s up—oh, shit!”
My eyes widened as the security guards all began rushing in, picking up the girl and attempting to escort her out.
“See you again! I’ll kill you!” she shouted as she struggled against them. “Hide your kids! Hide your wife!”
One of the bigger ones finally managed to yank Stuart away from Graham.
“That’s how you party!” Stuart shouted in pride before being escorted out. I pressed my lips together as I fought back my laugh before attempting to follow after.
“(Y/N)! Where the hell do you think you’re going?!” The boy cried out, his body still laid out as he tried to raise himself on his elbows. “Get back here!”
I stopped and turned to him, my expression hardening. Maybe I would regret my decision later, but I had had enough of Graham for one night.
“No,” I responded. “Find yourself another team member. I quit!”
“You can’t quit! You’re mine!”
“No,” I shook my head. “I’m Stuart’s now.”
Just a few steps ahead, the boy stopped and looked to me in awe as I turned to him with a smile. Stuart suddenly grunted as the security guard kneed him and pushed on to get them out. My eyes widened and I quickly rushed over to help.
“We’re too hot to party!” Yo-Yo shouted as a security guard yanked on his collar. “That’s why they got to kick us out! Cause they’re gonna call the fire department! Why don’t you bring it outside the party?!”
“WHOOO!” Lyle cheered on.
“No more fun, c’mon,” Nick sighed as he grabbed a hold of the two boys and led them out.
Stuart and I sat back on one of the picnic tables by the Golden Gate Bridge, one of the few spots made to take in the beauty of it all. The boy groaned slightly as I lightly tried to clean up his wounds. I made a face and chuckled as he lightly pushed my hand away, not being able to stand the pain.
“You really took a beating back there,” I muttered.
“Well, I couldn’t stand around and let that asshole disrespect you like that,” he grumbled, his eyes glued onto the bridge.
“Would you look at that view?” Nick sighed out as he made his way closer to us, clapping a hand on Stuart’s back and causing him to wince in pain. “Buddy, you were an animal out there tonight!”
“Right,” Stuart scoffed, resting his elbows over his knees and looking down.
“No, you were!” Nick shook his head. “I’m sure (Y/N) agrees with me!”
I simply nodded.
“Thanks for standing up for me,” I smiled, keeping my gaze on him. Reaching out for his hand, he turned to me for a moment as we intertwined our fingers and I scoot my way closer to him, resting my head over his shoulder.
“Awe, would you look at that? Looks like you two really hit it off,” Nick grinned. “Glad my plan worked!”
“You set this whole thing up?” Stuart asked, his eyes squinted as he turned to the man in disbelief. He gave a shrug as he stuffed his hands into his jean pockets.
“I had a hunch you two had a little somethin’ somethin’ so I thought why not?” Nick chuckled. “It sure got you to loosen up, Stewie. Plus, I figured it’d give me some brownie points so you’d warm up to me.” Stuart fought back a smile before turning to me as I nuzzled myself closer to him.
“Thanks man,” he said, turning back to Nick.
“What up with it, hot thing,” Lyle continued to sing along, making his way over to us as he texted away. “Hot thing, hot thing…”
“Lyle!” Nick called out. “Looks like you also hit it off tonight. Saffron, right?”
“Yeah, I’m texting her that I love her and I’m sending her this picture I just took of little Lyle when he made pee in the bushes,” he slurred. “Look, he’s winking!”
“No, Lyle. Lyle, Lyle, that’s a horrible idea,” Nick shook his head. “Please don’t do that. You’re drunk off your ass.”
“I appreciate your concern, but I’m flying, baby,” Lyle responded with a high pitched chuckle.
“Okay, Lyle, you’re not flying,” Billy joined in, shaking his head. “What’s seventeen squared?”
“Two eighty-nine. Why?” Lyle asked.
“Give me a harder question that that,” Billy sighed as he turned to us. “You know where I’m driving with this.”
“Try, uh, maybe square root of seventeen,” Stuart suggested.
“Like, four point twenty-three? Maybe?” Lyle answered uncertainly, his expression becoming puzzled for a moment.
“That’s the app,” Nick gasped. “That’s the app we should do right there!”
“What?” Billy asked. My brows furrowed slightly as I sat up straighter, not bothering to drop my hold on Stuart.
“Some quiz questions you gotta answer before you can send a drunk text or a drunk email or phone call. Something to protect you from yourself,” Nick continued.
“Wait, you guys still haven’t come up with an app yet?” I asked.
“No,” Stuart shook his head.
“Well, that’s actually a pretty good idea,” I nodded.
“Can we do that?” Billy asked.
“Hells yeah, we could do that,” Neha scoffed out with a nod.
“Are you shitting me? I could program the shit out of that bitch on the bus ride home,” Yo-Yo slurred as he kept his laid down position.
“I could help with the customization and settings,” I suggested, my eyes landing on the drunk boy. “Considering the condition of the main operator.”
“Wait… You’re going to help us?” Billy asked, his expression twisting into that of confusion. “I thought you were with Graham.”
I grimaced as I looked down and tried to force a smile.
“Actually, I don’t belong to any team now, so there goes my internship,” I shrugged. “Which means you guys aren’t the competition anymore, so I could definitely help.”
Nick and Billy turned to one another while the others looked amongst each other. Their expressions lit up as they finally looked to me.
“(Y/N), how would you like to be one of our fellow Nooglers?” Nick offered. My eyes widened and I felt myself grin.
“Are you serious?”
“Yeah, can’t leave Stewie’s girlfriend behind now, can we?” Nick chuckled.
“I’m in!” I huffed out in excitement.
“C’mon then!” Billy began standing up.
“Let’s roll!” Nick announced. “Let’s get back to HQ!”
“Hey, wait, wait,” Stuart stopped everyone. “Let’s—let’s stay, like, five minutes, you know?” His eyes flickered over to me. “Just enjoy the view a little more.”
“Yeah, all right,” Nick agreed.
“Okay!” Billy sighed out and sat back.
Stuart hesitated for a moment as he looked directly into my eyes, his face slowly inching closer to mine. Before I knew it, he took up the crook of my neck and our lips gently met for a moment. From all around, I could hear the rest of the group start to cheer, causing us to laugh through the kiss and ultimately break away. I rested my head over Stuart’s shoulder as he pulled me closer, our eyes landing back to the rising sun over the ocean. What a way to end the night.
(A/N Crystal): Okay I know this blog is supposed to be Teen Wolf related but omg I had to because Stuart is just ugh. Beautiful. Anyways. I’m so sorry for the quality. I’ve been locked out from my computer so had to post through phone. Sorry for any mistakes! Hope you guys enjoyed!
Can you do a Jax imagine where you were born and raised around Jax and
Opie but they’ve never really liked you and be hateful towards you until
you leave and come back after a few years?
I grew up surrounded by the roaring of
motorcycles, hanging around the crew. Proud little Delaney, the crew members
liked me, I was just another kid at the end but Jackson and Harry hated my
guts. I had no idea why but all they did was to annoy me and work their ways
into my mind to make me feel bad at the end of the day while nobody was
I never told mom or dad because I knew it
was just kids messing around but I wanted to know the reason behind their
constant games, the only one that respected me was Thomas, he played with me
and kept me company making Jax and Opie stay away from me even if it was just
for a little while. His death was devastating to all of us but it only made
things worse for me, the boys wouldn’t leave me alone not even when we were
somehow a lot more grown and we went through high school and they both
prospected, the comments and nasty looks were still there. I asked my mom if I
could move to southern California with an aunt, I used a stupid excuse of
wanting to explore further from Charming and she accepted, when I told my dad I
saw a glint in his eyes and he just nodded before sipping on his beer once
Years passed, I build myself a good life
away from all the things the Outlaw life brought, away from the porn industry
and the mess that was harder to clean up than to leave standing until I got a
heartbreaking news, my dad, Otto Delaney had been condoned to 25 years in prison.
I cried and I screamed before heading back to Charming that moment, I found my
mother at the TM that served as a playground all those years before this
moment. She was a crying mess on Gemma’s arms, her blue eyes looking at me with
so much sadness, I knew this time was for real, there was no way of him coming
out of this like he did many times before.
“Mom” I said, my eyes filled with tears that
exact moment, she just nodded kissing my head and crying over my hair, I was
hugging her tightly like I did so many times while I was young. A few minutes
passed and I heard motorcycles approach, I knew the club had hired multiple
lawyers and were working on trying to get dad out. I saw Chibs and Tig first
who hugged me tightly before going to talk to my mother, Clay gave me a sad
smile and immediately took off to my mother and Gemma. I saw Jax and Opie
approach us and I immediately changed my endeavor moving back to my mom’s side
with the excuse of looking for support on her embrace. Jackson approached me
first, and I accepted the gesture of him putting his hand on my shoulder before
Opie did the same, I just nodded with a short smile and heard Clay’s
explanation of what went wrong.
After that moment the club did everything
in their power to honor Otto’s family and take care of us, they gave us
protection and helped us get through the pain. I visited my dad every chance I
got but he begged me to stay away from Stockton. He told me about some shit
going on inside the prison and it making it dangerous for me and my mother, I
ignored his pleads and kept coming, I was a Delaney and being stubborn and
strong was my greatest and worst characteristic.
I was home one day alone, my mom went to
visit my grandmother and I was happy about having some time for myself. I made
some tea and worked for a bit on my computer until I heard glass breaking, I
took my gun quickly and put my slippers on before heading towards the back
door, pistol in hand, someone took me from behind and hit me with the back of
their gun making me feel a little dizzy but I still manage to hit him before
pointing my gun at him but suddenly someone else kicked me on the back of my
knees making me fall and put himself on top of me to try and take my gun away
from me. He did and I tried to fight him but it was no use anymore, he tried to
pick me up but I screamed loudly before fighting him with all my strength.
“HELP!” I screamed praying one of the prospects
was outside “HELP PLEASE” I screamed
once again but it was no use, the man covered my mouth with his gloved hand
while the other put restrains on my hands. Suddenly I heard gunshots and the man on my
back fell to the ground, I let go of a soft cry before looking through my blurry
vision at the pair of boots coming quickly inside my house and taking the man
