Nobody has to agree with me on this since I understand everyone has their own opinion and such, but assuming that all Western artists have ulterior motives when it comes to their interactions with BTS at/after the BBMAs is kind of … unnecessary?
Sure, I get that is how the industry works and making connections is the way to gain a bigger audience worldwide. But literally claiming every snapchat or collaboration or mention of BTS by another Western artist as the artist being obsequious in order to weasel their way into Eastern culture and reach a wider following makes it come across that you only think BTS are worth the interactions for their money and status. Remember that these Western artists are musicians too, and so, of course, they are going to pay their respects and perhaps try to learn more about BTS, the first Korean pop group in history to make it as nominees, nonetheless win an award on the Billboard Music Awards. That does not mean that they are prying for an opportunity to take advantage of the boys’ fame for their own sake.
Let BTS have their moment. Let them be respected by the artists that we all know they respect without having to assume every little detail. They deserve this time to shine and make an even greater name for themselves in the Western world!
You know what really gets to me? Kara Danvers has such a strong, loving relationship with Lena Luthor, they regularly hang out and have long conversations…all while Kara has only revealed half of herself. They have so much in common just in the context of Earth. Kara even spends more time with Lena and sometimes appears to be closer to her than even some of the people who DO know her secret, which is why a) I can’t believe Kara hasn’t told her yet and b) I refuse to accept that Lena doesn’t at least suspect at this point.
Ok, that’s a lie, I can actually understand Kara’s reluctance. She met Lena as Kara Danvers and that’s who really got to know her. Her decision to keep her identity secret may be out of a desire to maintain a relationship with someone who sees Kara Danvers as a hero before even knowing she’s the girl of steel. Or perhaps out of fear that Lena will distance herself if she knows.
But jeez…if we think Lena Luthor has amazing chemistry with Kara Danvers, just imagine how much she’ll have with Kara Zor-el. Lena finally being able to talk about losing her entire family to their own catastrophic, misguided decisions with someone who knows exactly what that feels like. Kara telling Lena all about life on Krypton, filling her head with all sorts of ideas when she mentions tech they used to have, frustrating her a bit when Kara doesn’t know enough specifics to help her replicate different devices she’s casually mentioned.
Like it blows my mind because even without all of this their relationship is fucking beautiful, yet there’s still SO MUCH POTENTIAL.
…Can Lena please just look directly into the camera and say “yeah I’ve known like the whole time” so we can skip ahead to the scenes I actually want to see?

Mass Effect 1, out of all the Mass Effect titles, has the most varying models for NPC’s. With each game, you see less and less (this goes for all Alien species in the games). By the time you get to Mass Effect 3, only one or two models exist and only vary through colour palette. Hanar, Elcor, Quarian, Vorcha and Volus dip out the most in terms of a unique model. But in Mass Effect 1, there were several very unique models for Aliens, especially the Salarians. Dr Saleon (last row, 3 across) to me was incredibly unique considering he has next to no screen time. Several models for Turians existed too (male only). Some had slight mandible and fringe changes (short, long, bent) as well as a more expansive colour variety and face tattoos.
In Mass Effect: Andromeda, every Salarian is Kallo Jath’s model with a different colour or face paint slapped on top. Turians are all the same and all Asari have Dr Lexi’s face. Many features of the Salarian’s have been left out such as their upward blinking and large pupils and now they tower over Krogan.
Andromeda has less variation than Mass Effect 3, cruder animations and is just as glitchy as the first release of the first game.
