Hey so idk if this seems pushy but quick question, how did you get into writing like I want to start but I don't know how and I feel like I would suck at it, and idk with people asking and stuff like I'm nowhere compare to you and your really good and I want to get where you are so j was just asking if you could give me any advice on where to start and how to get people to send me asks and stuff and how to get more followers

um i actually never was interested in reading or writing until March 2016 when i started reading fanfics. one night i was just laid in bed like “oh it would’ve been cool if this happened to that character” and i about ten minutes later i found myself writing my first ever fic. ummm i still don’t understand why i have so many followers and messages but i would say make sure you’re tagging your work to get noticed, and just be yourself! i’m sorry if i’m not much help :((( real talk i have no idea what i’m doing 900% of the time. but i hope you manage to find your footing on the site!! x x x

2017 is the year of the hustle

Its time to get that education, make more money, budget and SAVE THAT MONEY, and most importantly look good while doing it

the kanamari arc makes sense. just saying. i just think people tend to forget how being a fifteen year old makes you feel.

so kanan met mari when they were kids. kanan must have noticed the difference between them back then: mari had tons of money and she did not. but she probably didn’t care when she was still a kid and money and actual responsabilities and their futures were things that didn’t matter.

mari was offered the abroad thing and i bet that when kanan knew it, she thought this: i won’t ever leave this town. dia will also stay. mari is the only one that has a chance. she needs to take it and be shiny. so she decided that she would do ANYTHING and EVERYTHING for mari to leave the town and be succesful. she had to take the chances she was given (and maybe she was also lowkey jealous).

mari comes back. kanan treats her like that because she’s mad because mari is wasting her chance (a chance kanan could only dream of) and because she isn’t being thankful. kanan wonders why the heck mari is back at the town wasting a chance so many people would instantly take. maybe she also thinks she’s acting spoiled (and that doesn’t help her feel better).

mari slaps her. she waits for kanan to slap her as well. kanan wants to, but then she actually sees everything (mari, one of her best friends ever is waiting for her to slap her) and hugs her like when they were kids because there are some friendship things we won’t ever be able to explain but aren’t less credible or occurring.

no one is abusive. no one is a bad person. they’re just teens. and most of teens like to do what they want: mari wanted to stay and kanan wanted mari to be succesful and happy and didn’t realize mari was happy there. again: people tend to forget how being a teen feels, and how much one can love a friend.

Using The Word "Sinning" Isn't Wrong

I feel like I need to clear something up. I see all these posts like “stop using sinning and saying u need Jesus when talking about gay ships. It’s homophobic” blah blah blah
I know not every shipper sees it the way I do, but I feel many others might, so let me try to explain right quick. We don’t use the word “sinning” to describe these otps because they’re GAY, we use it because the situation that we have put that particular otp in is incredibly sexual and sometimes disgusting. It has 0 to do with the sexuality or gender of the ship. Good lord, I once read a fic of my gay otp where one of them put a banana in the others ass while having sex (years ago, I was reading a lot of weird shit). Calling something sinning or saying “I need Jesus” when referring to a ship has fuck all about them being gay. It’s the incredibly graphic sexual situation we put them in that is the “sinning” part. If I read the stories I do now with straight ships, I’d still comedically call it sinning because of how vivid and graphic the sex is in these fics. If I were to watch a straight couple where one of them paddled the other one on the ass then proceeded to tie them to a bed post and fuck the day lights out of them while they were gagged, I would still end that with “Holy shit, I need Jesus.” Why the fuck do you think pictures or fics about two dudes cuddling is not tagged sinning??
We ship these ships because we love and believe in them. What, do you think we ship them, but then secretly we’re like “yeah these two are a beautiful couple, BUT THEY’RE SUCH SIN OMG THIS IS GROSS AND DISGUSTING I CANT BELIVE THIS.” I can guarantee, that is not the case. The “sinning” term is just our way of trying to convey that what we are reading is intensely graphic, so please stop making it seem like this term has anything to do with sexuality when IT DOESN’T. AT ALL.

March is here!

In my country, we only celebrate the 8th as Women’s Day, but I’ve decided I’m going to dedicate all of this month to reading ONLY women’s books, including books dealing about feminism, or just written by women.

I know this isn’t anything new, Manda’s #readwomen book club was all about this, and there’s also Emma Watson’s book club (which I’m part of but I never participate) and I mostly read books written by women. In fact out of all the 26 books I’ve read this year, only Miss Peregrine’s was written by a man, so I’m already only reading women.

But I’d like to celebrate Women’s Day and Women’s History Month reading books dealing with women’s identity, their struggles, their accomplishments, and I want to make it as intersectional and diverse as I can. So if you have recommendations of books by trans women, by lgtbqa women, by poc women, by all the forgotten women, my askbox is open to all your recommendations.

I’m going to be reading all the genres, so hit me up with all the poetry, non-fiction, fiction, YA, adult or children’s books you can.

Also, if you see me pick up a book that you consider problematic, please let me know, as I’m still learning and I don’t want to offend or hurt anyone.

If you’d like to join me, you’re welcome to! I’m going to be using the hashtag #reading women in march so you’re welcome to use it too, tag me in your posts or discuss with me the books you’ll be picking up.

I’m going to start with Maya Angelou’s I Know Why the Caged Bird Sings.
