You were having a shit day. So what was going to make things 100% better?

Homemade french fries.

You got out everything you needed. Potatoes, a peeler, salt, pepper, and a knife. You set your oil to heat up and started peeling potatoes.

Garrett and Marian - Legacy Banters
  • Marian: Well... not quite how I imagined this family reunion going. I was envisioning more hugs and maybe some wine over dinner. Not attempted assassinations
  • Carver: Really? You think this is so abnormal for our family?
  • Marian: Well you got me there
  • ---
  • Bethany: What could our father have to do with this mess? The Carta have had more than enough time to try and find us
  • Garrett: I imagine that having two Champions of Kirkwall with the last name Hawke may have tipped them off
  • Bethany: But it's been three years since you and sis defeated the Arishok. Why wait that long?
  • Marian: Well I don't know about you, but if I was going to go after the people who killed an Arishok then I'd probably want to make a little time for planning, wouldn't you?
  • Carver: Do these morons strike you as the sensible type?
  • Marian: Two points in one day Carver? Don't tell me the Templars are actually drilling some wit into that skull of yours
  • Carver: *laughs* At least /my/ wit makes a point, dear sister
  • Bethany: Ooh, that had to hurt
  • Garrett: Do you need some healing for that one, Marian?
  • Marian: Oh shove off, all of you
  • ---
  • Garrett: And we're back in the Deep Roads
  • Marian: Oh it's not that bad. I mean... Look at all the... Ugh, no, you're right this is terrible. Let's all promise never to go to the Deep Roads after this. Three times is enough
  • Garrett: Three times? When was the second?
  • Marian: Um... well...
  • Carver and Bethany: *sing song voices* Somebody's in trouble
  • ---
  • Bethany: Varric wrote to me the other day
  • Garrett: Telling another of his stories, I bet. Was it the one about the high dragon, because that didn't really-
  • Bethany: No. He was giving me an update. On you, actually. I was... worried, so I wrote to him and asked
  • Garrett: I'm fine Beth. Really
  • Bethany: No you're not. Not yet. But I know you, and if anyone can get past it, you can
  • Garrett: Thank you
  • ---
  • Carver: You might want to be watch yourself, Garrett
  • Garrett: How come?
  • Carver: Ever since you sided with Orsino the other day, there's been... Rumours. Meredith isn't happy with you, and it's only because she allows it that you're still free
  • Garrett: So is she going to have me dragged to the Circle, or is she getting the Brand ready now?
  • Fenris: Don't say that
  • Carver: I would never let it get that far. But I thought I'd warn you, just in case you were thinking about making her mad
  • Garrett: I appreciate you telling me Carver. Don't worry. I'll be careful
  • ---
  • *after completing Malcolm's Will*
  • Marian: So... the stonework down here is... lovely, isn't it?
  • Carver: Not now, Mary
  • Marian: I was only... Alright
  • ---
  • Marian: Are you okay, Gary?
  • Garrett: I'm fine... Just...
  • Marian: He loved you. And Bethany. He'd be so proud of you
  • Garrett: You sound so sure of that
  • Marian: Of course I am. Because it's true. And don't let that nasty shit in your head tell you otherwise - it's a liar, remember
  • Garrett: *chuckles* Alright
  • Bethany: Be careful sister, people might think you've got a heart after all
  • Marian: *dramatically* Oh no! *clutches chest* I think... I think I'm getting feelings! Quick, someone beat them out of me!
  • Carver: *laughs* You be careful what you wish for sister
  • Isabela: I'd rather ride them out of you
  • Garrett: Ah, and there's the dirty line. I was starting to worry something was wrong Bela
  • Isabela: And you're as sweet as ever, Garrett
  • ---
  • Varric: Twenty silvers, that's my final offer. Take it or leave it Elf
  • Marian: What are you betting on, and why am I getting left out of it?
  • Varric: You want in? We're betting on what it'll take to get Junior and Waffles to hug
  • Garrett: *groans* You're not calling me 'Waffles' again, are you?
  • Varric: I have to. Every time I say 'Hawke' all four of you turn around. I'm being considerate
  • Carver: I bet there's /someone/ here who'd like to see him covered in syrup
  • Garrett: Carver!
  • Fenris: *embarrassed noises*
  • Isabela: Ooh, new friend-fiction idea!
  • Garrett: Don't you even dare!
  • Isabela: Too late, already dared. Can we make camp? I need to make notes
  • ---
  • Varric: Hey, Rivaini, I'm expecting royalties if that friend-fiction of yours gets published
  • Carver: When you didn't even come up with it?
  • Varric: You wouldn't have brought up syrup if I didn't call him Waffles
  • Garrett: Maker save me...
  • Bethany: And me...
  • Marian: Usually I like dirty things... But this is too far, even for me
  • Isabela: Are you saying you wouldn't like it if /I/ were covered in syrup?
  • Marian: Oh I'm sorry. I didn't realise you were my very hairy twin brother, Bela
  • Isabela: Well when you put it that way...
  • ---
  • Isabela: I always thought we were the loud ones, you know
  • Fenris: What?
  • Marian: I know right. Maybe they're just less shy about it now
  • Garrett: Do I want to know?
  • Isabela: You already know. Or did you deafen yourself?
  • Marian: To think, they don't need us shouting encouragement through the wall anymore. I'm so proud
  • Isabela: Our boys are growing up so fast. Maybe next they'll master foreplay
  • Carver: Oh Maker, I do not want to hear this
  • Bethany: Neither do I
  • Garrett: *loudly* And I would be very happy if we could stop talking about this. Right now
  • Isabela: Yeah, see. That kind of loud
  • Fenris: *deadpan* If you're so fascinated by Garrett being loud, then you must not be doing a very good job at making Marian scream, Isabela
  • Marian: Oooooooo
  • Isabela: Oh, you snarky little shit
  • Bethany: *loudly* If we could stop discussing my older brother's and sister's sex lives, I would appreciate it
  • Carver: *loudly* Oh look, more darkspawn. Let's kill them so we can stop talking about this
  • ---
  • Marian: So our choices are the nice, Tainted madman, or the mage who wants to let a darkspawn magister out of his hole in the ground? Why can we never make nice decisions, like what kind of wine to have with dinner?
  • Fenris: I agree. It is the only decision worth making
  • Marian: When you're not throwing it at the walls, I assume?
  • Fenris: That was six years ago
  • Marian: And you never offered me a glass
  • Fenris: You are recycling jokes now? Has the great Marian Hawke's wit finally lost it's edge?
  • Marian: Ooh, you are just asking for it now
  • ---
  • Varric: You okay Garrett? You've been a bit quiet since-
  • Garrett: I'm fine Varric. There's more important things to be worried about right now
  • Varric: It's not easy to realise that someone you looked up to wasn't quite what you imagined. You ever need to talk, you know where my suite is
  • ---
  • Isabela: So... is no one going to bring up the fact that Varric called Garrett by his name earlier?
  • Varric: What are you talking about Rivaini? Waffles and I were just having a friendly chat
  • Isabela: Don't bullshit me. You called him Garrett. I heard you
  • Varric: That doesn't sound like me, Rivaini
  • Marian: He called you by your name when Velasco carted you off to Castillon
  • Isabela: What?! No fair, I didn't get to hear!
  • ---
  • Bethany: Are you sure about this, brother?
  • Garrett: It has to be done
  • Bethany: I could do it. I am a Hawke after all, and a mage. You don't need to-
  • Garrett: No, Bethany
  • Bethany: But-!
  • Garrett: Bethy, if I let you use blood magic, I'd never be able to live with myself
  • Bethany: And if you do it, will you be able to live with it?
  • Garrett: I'd rather it be me than you
  • ---
  • Varric: If he pulls a dragon out of his ass, I'm leaving!
  • Marian: Oh great, and now he's almost certain to pull a dragon out of his arse! Way to go Varric
  • ---
  • Bethany: Here, you didn't get a chance to close that wound earlier
  • Garrett: Thank you
  • Fenris: I just hope it was worth it
  • Marian: Well we /did/ just kill a darkspawn magister. I can't wait to hear how Varric tells this one
  • Varric: Well I doubt I'll have to exaggerate a damn thing, considering how weird this shit is
  • Fenris: That isn't what I meant...
  • Garrett: I'd have avoided it if I could, but someone had to. And if it meant sparing my little sister from that...
  • Fenris: I understand. But... Please, just be more careful from now on
  • Garrett: I will, I promise
  • Isabela: You two are so sappy... It's actually rather cute

Taylor + Joe

The Beginning

Part 1 - How They Met

On October 12th, 2016, Taylor went with Dakota Johnson, Cara Delevigne, Suki Waterhouse, Lily Donaldson, Martha Hunt, Zoe Kravitz and her boyfriend went to a private show of Kings of Leon, since the lead vocalist is the husband of one of best friends, Lily Aldridge. In the guest list was also Garrett Hedlund (friend of the band members), who brought along his movie colleague Joe Alwyn.

We all walk into the bar and it doesn’t take long until we find Lily. I smile and hug her when I reach her. After me, everyone else approaches her to greet her too.

“I’m gonna get myself a drink before the show starts.” I hear Cara say from behind me. Everyone else follows her to do the same but me and Lily smile at each other and go sit on one of the couches places in the VIP area. “Don’t you want to get a drink too?” She asks me and I know by the tone in her voice that she’s mocking me.

“I’d rather delay my imminent humiliation. You know that tipsy Taylor is too playful so I’ll wait until the after party.” I smile at her. “So, is anyone else coming?”

“As far as I know, Martha is coming with her husband and a friend of Caleb’s is coming too. They should be here any minute.” She explains me. For the next couple of minutes, we talk about her daughter Dixie who stayed at home with the babysitter, until Martha arrives.

“Hey!” She greets us euphorically and her husband gets the hint and leaves us, mumbling something like ‘Women’. “Wow, Lily, is it me or Taylor looks really hot.”

“She does.” Lily gasped.

I roll my eyes at them. “Stop it.”

“Ladies.” The three of us look up and two guys are standing there looking at us. I can recognize the face of one of them. I think he’s an actor but I’m not sure. The other, though, seems a little uncomfortable with his hands in his pockets, so I’m guessing he doesn’t know anyone either.

Lily stands up and greets the guy who just spoke. “Girls, this Garrett. Garrett, these are Martha and Taylor.”

“We’ve met Taylor from at the MET gala.” He says. That’s where I know him from. And now I remember the other guy too, but he had his hair shaved. That’s why I didn’t recognize him.

Garrett puts his arm around the other guy’s shoulder. “This here is Joe. We worked together on our latest movie.”

“Hey.” He grins. For a split second his eyes crossed mine, but moved when Martha spoke.

“I know you. You made this Vogue photoshoot with Gigi didn’t you?”

“Yeah, Joey landed his first role ever and as the main character of a Oscar-winning director.” Garrett pats Joe’s chest as he looks to the ground. “He’s becoming a star so I thought it would be good for him to be among other people in the business.”

Lily begins to talk to Joe and Garrett. Martha gets closer to me and whispers in my ear. “He’s cute.” I instantly turn my head around to glare at her. One of those looks that could kill.

I know what she’s trying to do, but it’s not gonna happen. No boys for me tonight, or any night for all I care. I need a vacation from them and their huge egos.

“And he’s British. You like British guys.”

I open my mouth to answer her, but I’m stopped by Lily, who tells us she’s going to take Garrett backstage to go see Caleb before the show. She asks Joe if he wants to go too but he says he’s fine.

“You’ll thank me later.” Martha whispers and before I can think about it she’s getting up. “I have to go check on my husband.” And just like that she is gone.

Damnit.

I take a deep breath and look up at Joe. He stands there, looking and the stage. He lets his hand go through his long-ish blond hair, and then puts it right back on his pocket.

“Um, Joe.” He turns to look at me and the corner of his lips instantly rises. “You can sit, you know.”

“I’m fine.”

“Oh come on, I don’t bite.”

Maybe he thinks I do. With everything going around in the media he probably thinks it’s better to stay away from me. I don’t judge-

“Okay.”

Oh.

“Sorry if I came across as cold.” He says looking at me and then at his hands. “I didn’t mean to.”

Oh.

“So now you’re not speaking to me?” He asks looking me in the eye.

Oh. Crap.

“I’m sorry.” I clear my throat awkwardly. “I blacked out for a little.”

“It’s okay. It’s happens to me all the time.” He shrugs. He’s still looking at me. And I can see his facial features more easily. I don’t need to tell her, but Martha was right when she said he is cute. The cuteness strikes to full on handsomeness in matter of seconds when he smiles at me.

I raise an eyebrow at him. “Does it?”

“No.” We both start to laugh with his confession.

“I figured.” I shrug with a smile plastered across my face. “So, what’s your deal?” He raises his eyebrow as he leans back on the couch at turns his body at my with his arm behind me. “Look mate,” My british accent is at its best. “I’m trying to start a conversation here.”

“What do you want to know?”

~*~*~**~*~*~

The concert starts and since me and Lily are some of the few people who already knew the songs of the new album, we are the ones chanting the words.

“Just like a reverend, like a reverend on the radio!Your heart will never say so! Your heart will never let goooo!” We sing along to the camera of her phone.

I raise my hands up in the air and catch Joe glancing at me with a smile on the corner of his lips. “My heart will never say so! My heart will never let goooo!” I sing dramatically to cause him to laugh. I wink at him playfully and turn around to approach the girls who are all dancing.

“Are you enjoying it?” I scream over the music.

“I’m loving it!” Dakota screams back.

“So what’s with the new guy?” Zoe asks smirking. “You looked really close when when we got here before the show started.”

“Oh no no. Nothing’s happening.” I shake my head.

“So you weren’t just flirting with him half a minute ago?” Suki tries to hide her smile as she takes a sip of her drink. I roll my eyes and playfully push her.

“So where are we going now?” I ask Garrett as I open the door the car.

“There’s an after party in a club nearby.” He says hopping into the drivers seat. “So…” He puts his seatbelt on. “Taylor huh?”

“What about her?”

I pretend I don’t know what he’s talking about, but I do. Even he has noticed it. I mean, who wouldn’t be struck by her? She’s a fascinating woman and I say that without even knowing her. And beautiful. She’s beautiful.

He chuckles, starting the car. “Just know what you’re getting yourself into.”

“What do you mean?”

“You know her reputation.” He trails off and I know what he means. And it makes me a little pissed and I don’t even know why.

“I don’t think it’s fair to judge a person by the opinion of people who don’t know her. The media only wants clicks regardless of of the veracity of the stories.”

“You’re right.” He nods. “Either way I could see the way you were looking at her. You need to do something about it man.”

I will.

Taylor P.O.V

Right now we’re on the dance floor dancing with each other. I’m grabbing both Martha and Lilly’s hands and spinning them around. “So, who needs a drink?” They both say yes, so we walk to the bar.

When we get there, we ask the bartender for three Vodka Diet-Coke, my personal favorite.

The three of us lean into the bar as we wait for our drinks. “So how did your talk with Joe go?” Martha asks.

“Well, I guess…I got to know him better.”

“Is there something I should know about?” Lily asks puzzled.

I answer right away. “No.”

“Well…” Martha trails off and I glare at her.

Lily notices my reaction and gasps. “Oh, I’m liking this.”

“No, no you’re not. I only talked to the guy.” Alone, about your personal lives… “There’s nothing special about that.” I guess.

My attention goes to what’s happening behind Lily. I’m the middle of the crowd, Joe is talking to a brunette.

Clearing my sudden dry throat, I look once again to the girls.“I need to go to the bathroom.” I don’t wait for their response and walk to the restrooms.

I reach the end of the line, not knowing what’s happening and why I’m so affected by whatever Joe’s doing.

I raise my hands to cover my face as I stand in line. Before I put them back down, I feel a hand grab my waist and pull me into a small room. I am pushed against the door as it closes.

This is it. I’m gonna die.

I take a deep breath to gain the courage to open my eyes. When I do, Joe is looking down at me smiling. “Hey.”

“What the fuck?” I whisper/scream at the same time. “You scared me!” I look around and realize we are in some kind of storage. “We shouldn’t be here! Oh my God, what if someone saw us? This isn’t go-”

I’m interrupted when his lips touch mine. His hands cup my face and by instinct I place my hands on his waist. I know I shouldn’t but I start to kiss him back as he presses me against the door.

He pulls away when we both run out of breath. He presses his forehead on mine and one of his hands lowers to my waist. “I really needed to do that.” He whispers.

“You did? I thought you were busy with that girl out there.” I cross my arms over my chest.

He smirks when he sees my reaction. “Glad I wasn’t the only on uncomfortable.”

“What?!”

“You didn’t even notice! Practically half of the guys in this club were staring at you, and let me tell you, it’s kind of annoying.” Well, your annoyed accent is kind of hot, I think to myself.

And he was actually paying attention to me. I don’t know how to feel about that.

“This is wrong on so many levels.” I lower my head into Joe’s chest.

His fingers raise my chin to look him in the eyes. “It doesn’t feel wrong, does it?”

“Do you know what you getting yourself into?”

“Truthfully, I don’t. But I don’t really care.” He shrugs. “There’s something about you Taylor, and letting you go would be the worst decision of my life. I know you feel it too.” He reaches for the back pocket of his jeans and pulls out his phone. “Give me your number. Let me get to know you. No one has to know, just me and you.”

He holds his phone out and I look at it. Should I? I’ve made so many mistakes before, what if this turns out to be another one?

“Please.” He means it. I can see it in his eyes. “Give me a chance.”

I take the phone and save my number in it. And his smile spreads gracefully. “I need to go now.” I reach for the door handle but he stops me just to kiss me once again, this time more softly.

Then, he lets me go and I walk back to my friends.

“What took you so long?” Cara asks handing me a drink.

“Long line.” I mumble as I watch Joe come from the where we were, and walk to Garrett and the rest of the guys. “I need this drink.”

~*~*~**~*~*~

3am

As I lay down in my bed, I hear my phone buzz on the nightstand. I reach for it and there’s a message from Joe. ‘Sleep well, and please don’t forget about me.’

I smile. “See that Mere?” I turn the screen to the unbothered cat laying next to me. “Yeah, I know, I’m so happy too.”

Headcanon time!! When Link and Sidon are out adventuring, link will put on the zoras armor and Sidon will get all flustered, like "You look so good" and "Why don't you wear that all the time!!". Link gets really happy when this happens, most likely Other times Sidon and Link would go fishing and while they're swimming, link runs out of stamina yet the wonderful fish man saves the day (every once in a while)

This is so cute. Sidon has to always keep an eye on Link because that boy doesn’t know when to call it quits not stop swimming.

He’s going to give Sidon grey hair. If he could even grow hair.

Other Parts | Masterlist

“I can’t believe this.”

Luke states and stares at you in shock after you’ve explained everything. “Look at the picture again.” You prompt and he looks down to the picture of Calum and his wife leaving the motel together. Around you Ashton, Michael and Garrett are watching you both with varying degrees of concern.

"I guess it looks a little bit like her…“ With that Luke visibly crumbles in front of you. A sob leaves his mouth and his hands go up to his face as tears stream down. “I’m so sorry, Lukie.” You sit down next to him, feeling unnerved yourself. You’re aware of the three boys looking over you so gesture to them to leave the room. “You guys should start eating without us.” You whisper and receive sympathetic glances. Upon leaving the room Michael gives your shoulder a reassuring squeeze.

Your eyes flicker back over to Luke and bulge with concern. He’s shaking and the water residue from his tears has fallen past his hands and landed rather unfortunately on his lap causing a damp mark to spread across his crotch. You slide an arm over his shoulder and give him a tight squeeze.

"It’ll be okay. Everything always fixes itself in the end, this is just gonna take a little longer because it’s so messed up.“ You try comforting him but sympathy hasn’t ever been your strength. “How can it? You’re not getting this, my wife was screwing my best friend.” He exclaims angrily and sits back, shrugging your hand off his back.

"No, I understand it just as well as you do! My husband was screwing my best friend. It’s the same situation just reversed.“ You say slowly, trying to get him more together. He only shakes his head sadly and pull you in for a hug. “I can’t believe either of them, they knew how much it would hurt us but they still did it. What kind of people do that?” His voice cracks as you rub his back soothingly. The back of your running shirt becomes wet as his silent tears dribble down.

"It seems like we both made mistakes in our choice of partner. Maybe I should’ve just married you!“ You joke and his head snaps up. As his blue eyes meet yours, it’s as if electricity has just zapped into your body. His eyes are the most beautiful shade of blue you’ve ever seen in your life. The breath hitches in the back of your throat as you anticipate his next words. “Maybe you should have."

"If you lovebirds are finished, the pasta’s going cold!” Garrett yells through from the kitchen and you both leap apart, Luke clearing his throat and you averting your eyes. Something about the conversation you just had seems…wrong that makes you feel slightly guilty.

"You’ve got a little.“ Luke points just under your right eye and you realise it’s probably mascara. Your fingers lightly scrub just under your eye but the tall boy in front of you just shakes his head. "I’ll get it."

His slightly calloused fingertips dance along your soft skin and you find yourself inadvertently looking him up and down, taking in the black skinny jean and flannel that make him look so Luke-like. When you were with Calum you would never admit it but now you have no trouble. Dayum, he looks hot.

"Why thank you, you look good too.” You flush and his finger leave your face. “All better.” He takes your wrist and brings you through to the kitchen. Even at 36 he still has the same flirtatious attitude you were so fond of.

"And they make an appearance. Are you both okay?“ Michael asks as you take your seat next to him and start spooning pasta into your bowl. "Yeah I think we’re getting there. Where’s Kirsten?” You notice the absence of your daughter and Garrett clicks his tongue. “She wanted to go somewhere for a sleepover or something. Bethany’s? I thought she needed some sort of distraction so I let her go. Was that alright?” You nod meekly and dig into your pasta.

"Oh shit!“ Luke shouts suddenly after a few moments of silence. Various what’s are heard in response as he whips out his phone and calls someone. "Noah? Could you pack some stuff and come to Uncle Michael’s? I’ll explain later just don’t tell Rachael where you’re going. If you could grab some of my stuff as well I’d really appreciate it.” The way his face falls as he’s forced to say his lover’s name solidifies the fact he’s hurting.

"Thanks lad, I’ll explain everything when you get here. Bye!“ Luke throws his phone onto the table but it overshoots. As if in slow motion the electronic lands with a splash on your untouched pasta, causing sauce to spray out and cover your front. You sit there for a second, not wanting to believe it but as you look down you grimace slightly. Geez, how much sauce did Garrett have to make?!

"I’m going to change.” You say in a controlled voice before bolting. You can’t take anymore human interaction today. You storm upstairs and lock the door to the bathroom before taking a long, fiery shower. You take the time to mull things over in the hot water and sort your feelings out.

You’re clearly hurt by Calum. You’re unsure of how to get around the situation without talking to him so decide to seek him out and talk to him about divorce.

You’re hurt by your ‘best friend’ Rachael. Not only did she sleep with your husband, she blatantly lied to your face.

You’re developing feelings for Luke that you shouldn’t be developing. It must just be right place right time circumstances making your feelings for him. It’s better to squash the feelings before they develop into anything else because the last thing you want to do is create more hurt.

After the shower you change into pyjamas and use one of Michael’s many hair dryers before sticking one of Garrett’s hoodies over your top half and plodding down the stairs in fluffy socks. “Hi Y/N.” You meet Noah halfway down the stairs as he’s struggling with carrying bags up. He seems about to fall from the weight of the bags so you quickly grab a few and take them up for him.

Noah is Luke’s sixteen year old son. He’s remarkably similar to Luke and sports his father’s blond hair, blue eyed appearances as well as remarkable singing voice.

"Thanks.“ He mumbles bashfully and you clap his shoulder. "No problem Nono.” You tease him with the nickname your crafted sixteen years ago and him shakes his head, laughter around his eyes. “You know I hate that name!” He protests and you start back down the stairs, not after you’ve managed to ruffle his quiffed hair.

"I know you love it really!“ You call back and walk through to the living room. It’s set up so a few of the sofa beds are pulled out, there’s mattresses, duvets and pillows strewn across the floor and the smell of freshly popped popcorn lingers throughout the air. The boys are scattered around in various positions. Michael and Garrett are arguing over the film on Netlix, Ashton is scrolling through something on his phone and Luke is standing directly in front of you. You jump slightly and he opens his mouth to speak.

"I’m so sorry about the pasta and the phone, Y/N. I’m sorry about everything that’s happened really, I somehow manage to mess up everything I touch.” He looks to his fingers as if he’s silently cursing at them. You shake your head and tenderly take his hand before leading him to a sofa bed and pulling him down beside you. “You know that none of what happens is your fault, don’t you?” Concern is evident in your tone of voice as you stare at him sadly. He sighs and cracks his knuckles nervously. “I can’t help but think that if I acted differently or had said something to someone, anybody, all of this might not have happened."

You reach over and rub your hands across his muscular shoulders in a soothing manner. "If this is your fault, it’s just as much my fault.” You retort and readjust your position on the sofa bed. “It’s not your fault.” He replies instantly and you smirk. “It’s not your fault either. It’s theirs. They’re the ones who cheated, not us. We have nothing to feel ashamed or sorry for. They do.” He nods slowly and Michael gets up to dim the lights.

"We went with 22 Jump Street in the end. Ashton, chuck the losers the popcorn and stop hogging the bowl you fat fuck.“ Michael says and Ashton huffs before passing it over to Luke who places it between you both. "You hurt my feelings…” Ashton protests quietly and Michael’s face instantly falls. “I’m sorry Ashie, I love you really.” Michael barrels into the curly haired boy and pulls him into a suffocating hug.

Even grown up these boys are still boys. Immature, lovable idiots. And here’s nothing better than being surrounded by some of your best friends.

You and Luke shift about a bit until you’re both leaning against the soft head of the sofa. The bowl of popcorn is between you both and you’ve moved so your snuggled into Luke’s side.

This is totally the sort of thing friends would do, right?

His arm is draped across your waist and the warmth of his body keeps you toasty hot. “Are you comfortable because I can move if you want.” You whisper up to him and he shakes his head. “There’s no place I’d rather be.” He admits and you smile to yourself.

Friends or not, you’re going to enjoy this moment of closeness for as long as you can. Surrounded by your friends and cuddled up to Luke, all the worries and reality locked away- at least for now. Not a care in the world, just living, breathing and enjoying. This is what it’s like to be alive. And you’re enjoying every second of it.

I want a mind-wiped Ward so badly now

The more I think of him undergoing TAHITI, the more I want this.

We can maybe get the skyward we originally wanted, without the taint of mass murder? And our team Coulson friendships back?

And Ward would be so much happier without the memories from his childhood.

Coulson royally fucked up Kara’s recovery and didn’t seem too broken up about it, yet was all about rehabilitating Cal, even though he was never even a SHIELD agent (I’m glad they rehabbed Cal, but I always wondered why nobody helped Kara).

Kara deserved so much more and it’s SHIELD’s fault she went bad. They should have been helping her when she had no idea who she wasn they should have extracted her from HYDRA.

Let’s face it, Coulson could have saved them all a lot of trouble by wiping Ward’s mind when he was in custody. Grant is an amazing agent, so why waste that resource when you can channel it differently?

Obviously, Ward is terrible and you can’t blame his childhood for his current psycho behavior, but deep down I always thought he would have turned out to be a good person without his abusive parents and Garrett. If he’d had Coulson as a role model, he might have ended up more like Tripp.

I’m dying to know what Ward’s personality would be like with a blank slate. We know he’s nurturing, because of how he looked after Kara and his dog, and we know he’s a snarky bitch, but other than that…who the hell knows? All of his anal-retentive tics could have just been military conditioning by Garrett. What if he’s a total slob? What if Grant Ward is shy and doesn’t know how to talk to girls? I’m dying.

It doesn’t excuse what he’s done, but it would be a good way to make him a meaningful member of the cast again without the tedium of a full redemption arc.

Harmless - Garrett Imagine For Anon

Prompt can be found here

“I really don’t think you should go over there, (Y/N).” Scott warned you. You were about to drive over to Garrett’s house to help him prepare for the game tonight, but Scott and Stiles had ambushed you in the school parking lot.

“Why not?” You frowned at them.

Stiles scratched the back of his neck. “We think someone on the lacrosse team is one of the assassins working with the Benefactor.”

You scoffed, throwing up your hands. “Garrett is harmless; he’s just a freshman!”

“I know,” Scott nodded, “but we still think you shouldn’t be around him until we know for sure he’s innocent, okay?”

You rolled your eyes and got into you car before putting the window down and squinting up at the two partners in crime. “I know Garrett just as well as I know the pack. Even if he was an assassin, he wouldn’t hurt me."

With that, you drove off before either of them could stop you. There was no way Garrett was an assassin, it was ridiculous to even think it was a possibility.

As you pulled into his driveway, the thought of Garrett being involved with the Benefactor was the last thing on your mind. Garrett opens the door after your third knock and immediately invites you inside.

"Nervous for the game tonight?” You teased.

He smirked, giving you a once-over. “Not at all.”

“Good. I hope Kira will be okay."

"Yeah,” he said blankly.

“It’s not that she’s not good, it’s just - she’s so tiny, ya know?” You chuckled, going to the fridge for a water. “I’m worried some douchebag will mistake her for a scrawny, little newbie and want to mess with her. Then again, why would Finstock put her on the team if she could get hurt, right?"

Silence filled the air, so you closed the fridge and turned to give Garrett a questioning look. "Eh, you good?” You raised an eyebrow.

His azure eyes snapped up to meet yours. “Yeah.”

Getting the vibe he was no longer interested in the conversation, you shrugged and pulled him upstairs. “Let’s get ready, then!”

Arriving in his room, he began pacing around the room, grabbing his gear that was strewn across the floor. “Be right back, I’m gonna get changed.”

“‘Kay,” you murmured, too focused on your face in the mirror which you were painting half white, half red - the team’s colors. Garrett also had an extra jersey that you had borrowed to wear, just to spice it up a bit.

As you stepped back from the mirror to admire your appearance, you tripped over what felt like a pole and landed on your back. “The hell?” you grumbled as you sat up and noted that you’d slipped on Garrett’s lacrosse stick.

You had also noticed that as you reached to pick it up, your finger pressed down on some sort of button - which released a sharp blade that shot out of the end of the stick and nearly scraped your leg.

“You weren’t supposed to see that.” Garrett sneered from behind you.
