whose baby is that

People always make fun of butch women’s appearance, but some of those big, muscular, “unfeminine” women frequently plant their asses between other women and predatory men. I’m speaking about the butches who have shielded me and my friends from physical harrassment when we were young and drunk and attending gay parties for the first time. I’m speaking about the butches who keep bathrooms a safe zone. I’m speaking about the butches whose lesbian rage is only outshone by their infinite compassion for baby dykes.

Fuck your butch hate.

A West Virginia police officer pulled over a very drunk woman whose baby was covered in feces and vomit in the back seat. The baby was screaming, so the officer bathed him in the barracks sink while waiting for child protective services. That smile though. (Source)

Hiroko Katsuki is good mom. Hiroko Katsuki is best mom.

But let’s talk about Toshiya for a second?

Let’s talk about Toshiya Katsuki who never told his son that it’s not okay to cry.

Toshiya Katsuki, who is literally never not smiling, even though life can’t be easy for the patriarch of a family who owns an inn in a rapidly-declining tourist town.

Toshiya Katsuki, who gets silly drunk and draws a face on his belly and makes his wife giggle like a schoolgirl.

I think there was a point in Toshiya’s life when he realized that neither of his children were going to follow their prescribed roles–Yuuri was not going to take over the inn after his parents got old, and Mari was not going to get married and have children–and indeed that they were switching those roles completely around. Mari is a pragmatist, and good with her hands. She wants to live as quiet and comfortable a life as possible. Yuuri is a romantic. He spends his days with music following him everywhere he goes–with a song in his head and his heart on his sleeve and sometimes that heart breaks.

There was a point in Toshiya’s life when he was faced with his son weeping, just completely losing it over something seemingly inconsequential, and he sat down and held him and told him it was all going to be alright. No bootstrapping, no belittling. Just love.

There was a point in Toshiya’s life when he was faced with his daughter, stoney-faced and stiff upper lipped. Hurting so much that he could feel it in his own bones, but unwilling to show it. And Toshiya sat with her all night and waited to see if she would talk about it. He didn’t force her to talk about it, or tell her to go talk to her mother. He waited.

There is a time in Toshiya’s life when he meets a young man who loves his son so much that it is almost visible. A young man he has practically watched grow up, through television screens and on the pages of magazines. A young man he welcomes into his family as easy as taking a breath because Yuuri loves him, and because he needs a family.

And when that young man comes to him and says How, please, tell me how I show him that he’s everything, Toshiya can only tell him to keep doing what he’s doing. Because Yuuri is a romantic.

There comes a time in Toshiya Katsuki’s life when he is sending his son to Russia, to live with the man he now calls his fiance, and he thinks of the baby he held, and the toddler whose bruises he kissed, and the boy whose heart he saw broken time and time again. And he looks at the man in front of him and knows that his son’s heart is safe.

“I won’t say be careful with him,” Toshiya says to Viktor then. “Because I know you will. So I’ll say…you have my blessing. For whatever comes next. And always remember that you have a home here, in Japan. Both of you.”

And Viktor? Viktor is somewhere in the middle of Yuuri and Mari. He is both emotional and cold at intervals. But Toshiya is confident that he has the tools to be a good father to him, too.

  • Dreaming of a beehive usually relates to the home and family or your business and coworkers. A happy, buzzing hive means a happy, buzzing home. It may foretell incoming abundance, and fruitful times ahead. If the bees are swarming around the hive, rather than working in it, proceed with caution. There is a lack of harmony that is interfering with productivity.
  • A swarm of bees may indicate that you feel that a group of people upon whose cooperation you rely is becoming chaotic and out of control. Perhaps the need to balance your own interactions with your different business and social groups for your own sanity.
  • Beehives bring to mind abundance and prosperity: bees seem to work hard and are rewarded by flowing stores of honey. An empty beehive, then, represents the opposite: lost opportunity and financial misfortune.
  • A beehive can also represent a home. The fullness or emptiness of the beehive may indicate unconscious feelings about family life, marriage, children, or the house itself. Honey may represent your property or belongings.
  • A beehive on fire or burned bees are often interpreted depending on your emotional and physical condition. Burned bees may mean you are overcoming fear and want to take control of life and anger, are you’re progressing through life with more confidence without any fear of obstacles. Burned beehives can also mean you have lost something precious, like money, a relationship, or some valuable information that you’ve forgotten or ignored.
  • If a bee or a swarm of bees is chasing you in dream, it may mean there is some unsettled business or a memory that haunts you. Make sure you let it go from your mind or deal with it in order to avoid these bees.
  • If you dream about getting a bee sting then something may be bothering you, or you have a persistent annoyance in your life. Concerns about your relationship, career, finance, or some unknown issue is bugging your subconscious mind. Find out what it is and sort it out.

Okay but all the Batkids get kidnapped at least once as a civilian

The first time it happens was with Dick and Bruce was freaking the fuck out. He had the ransom money all ready to go and he was ready to bust in as Batman when Dick showed back up at the manor with a bloody nose from when he fell to the ground because he was tied up to a chair and Bruce just scoops him up in a hug and doesn’t let him go for approximately eight hours

Barbara was next. She was both the daughter of Jim Gordon and close to Bruce Wayne, so ofc she gets kidnapped for a stupidly high ransom from Bruce and stupid demands from the police department. Bruce and Jim weren’t even able to call them back after the demands were made before Barbara came waltzing into the station with exactly one scrape on her knee

Bruce is panicky with Jason, but they don’t even get him to the hideout. He gets dragged into the truck while he was out with Bruce, and the five minutes it takes for Bruce to call the police and for them to get there Jason has beat up his kidnappers and is driving the truck back. He asks Bruce if he can keep it and Bruce is too surprised to say no and he just sorta nods while hugging him

Tim actually waits for the police to show up, and when they get there he’s sitting on a ridiculously plush couch with a glass of chocolate milk and a laptop and playing minesweeper while his kidnappers cower in the corner, and Jim just sighs before calling Bruce

Steph thinks the entire thing is hilarious and she just goes along with everything they say for shits and giggles. When they call Bruce (whose gotta do that concerned parent thing “is my baby okay?”) and they give her the phone she just “Bruce they took me to a warehouse . A fucking warehouse how cliche can you get–” and at this point she’s fighting them off while talking to Bruce “I’ll be home in 20. Love you”

They drop Cass off. The literary bring her back as Bruce is calling Jim and when she walks through the door she just sits at the kitchen table, looks and Bruce and all she ever says about the kidnapping is “they were a bunch of cowards”

Bruce is super panicky with Damian and when he finally gets the ransom call he demands to speak to Damian and “don’t you dare kill them” “but father” “Damian, no” “can I at least beat them up” “nO” “BUT FATHER” “YOU WILL WAIT UNTIL JIM AND I GET THERE” and when they show up Damian is pouting in the chair that he’s tied to

Batman came to get Duke because it happened while Batman was on patrol, and when he gets there Duke is already halfway out of the complex and “I didn’t think you would come” “what” “you were patrolling and–” and then Bruce hugs him and they have a very serious conversation that Bruce will always come for Duke and it may end in them crying it may not

BONUS

Carrie got like, halfway kidnapped. They were dragging her to the white get away van™ when she kicked all there asses and walked back over to Bruce “what” “are you–” “I’m fine” “are you sure–” “yes oh my god let’s just go get coffee”

BONUS BONUS

Bruce is actually pretty worried and panicked when Terry gets kidnapped. Like, this kid is a pice of shit and he says all the wrong things at the wrong times and that’s exactly what he’s doing now and he just doesn’t seem to notice until he’s like, in serious shit? But he gets out of it anyway because he’s the goddamn Batman and when Terry shows up all banged up and dragging his kidnapper behind him Bruce just sighs and “I’m too old for this shit”

the worst thing about bad cgi movies is that each one has to cram in a forced tearjerker scene ala every pixar movie ever without the rest of the movie having any hint of character or sentimentality, so you know something like boss baby or the emoji movie is going to have this weird out of place scene where the characters lose sight of their goals or end up hurting each other and they walk slowly to sad music before realizing something about themselves or about what they need to do to make things better, except instead of it being genuinely charming characters you relate to, its alec baldwin the dreamworks baby whose bare ass you’ve been forced to look at for at least 20 minutes prior

I was looking for a present for a friend whose baby turned a year old. The first review on this cracked me up.

I am torn in reviewing this toy.  Here’s why:  The toy is definitely well-made, will not come apart, will not break unless subjected to massive violence.  It definitely builds motor skills, hand-eye-coordination, and even thinking skills–as deciding which colors should be up or down or evenly matched in height requires some intricate choice and physical application.  So, the toy is a great toy!

But …

You are basically giving your child a miniature of Thor’s hammer.  Not a hollow plastic hammer, mind you.  No, no.  This is a toddler weapon the great god of thunder would approve of.  Two solid wooden pieces held together very well.  The head of the hammer is sculpted to allow attacks from many interesting angles.  Great for the toy.  Not so great if your little one might decide to go “a-viking” during a playgroup, family get-together, or school function.

Like the mighty Mjolner, this hammer throws well, flies fast and far, and can kill the mightiest of trolls.  Or televisions.  Or PC’s.  Or Grandma.

So … the only reason I take a star off is because of the deadly weapon that comes with this awesome toy.  Maybe it should have been fastened by a cable to the toy, Melissa & Doug?  It’s not cool that parents have to do this thinking for you.  But we love Grandma.  Having our toddler turned Thor send her to the hospital is not our idea of fun.

If your child is meek and kind and dependably non-violent, go for it.  GREAT TOY!  If your little one may just be a conqueror of lands reincarnated into this tiny body, please beware the hammer!

lmfao!

the other day, walking past a park, i saw a toddler wearing an outfit composed of:

  • a winter coat
  • a shark costume

  • sunglasses

do you ever see a baby whose look is so on point it is both inspiring and profoundly humbling

‘Detroit’ is a horror movie

  • The mark of a memorable horror movie is its villain. We don’t remember The Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the doomed twenty-somethings who die at the hands of a cannibal family — we remember Leatherface, the saw-wielding murderer who hacks them to pieces. Nor do we remember, with any clarity, the assorted teens dispatched at knife-point in the Halloween films. We remember Michael Myers, whose lurching, relentless drive to kill is still etched in our nightmares 40 years later.
  • Detroit, Kathryn Bigelow’s new film about the 1967 Detroit riots, is an unlikely heir to this legacy. In its promotional materials, the movie was marketed as an action-drama set amid the racial unrest, with John Boyega starring as the everyman fighting to navigate the chaos. This is misleading.
  • The film’s centerpiece is a long, borderline-unwatchable interrogation scene at the city’s Algiers Motel, where police officers hold several black men and two white women captive as they beat them, terrorize them into believing they will be killed if they don’t cooperate and, in some cases, actually kill them.
  • Detroit, perhaps accidentally, is at its heart a torture-horror film in the tradition of Hostel and Saw. And its villain is Philip Krauss, a baby-faced policeman whose capacity for cruelty will leave audiences shaken long after the movie ends. Read more. (8/2/2017 10:50 AM)
red.
  • it is february 1980 when they meet at a funeral
  • they are two red-haired women, one pureblood and one muggleborn, but neither of them care because blood does not matter
  • (except that it does. except that this whole stupid war is about blood)
  • they are two red-haired women with the future of the wizarding world growing in their bellies
  • and this is how it goes
  • gideon and fabian prewett go into the ground that day
  • molly, the last remaining prewett, feels like she’s drowning
  • (and although she is now a weasley, she will always be a prewett)
  • arthur’s hand in hers reminds her that she is not alone (far from it, in fact), but it does not ease the pain, the grief of losing all that was left of her family in one fell swoop
  • there is a stream of endless platitudes and consolations, so repetitive and meaningless that they blend into one another
  • (and she feels awful for the ones she has offered in the past)
  • (sometimes words mean so little)
  • she tries to tune it all out. sometimes she mutters, ‘thank you,’ towards her feet, but mostly she is silent
  • ‘when are you due?’
  • it is the only question that cuts through because it is so thoroughly unexpected, especially at a funeral
  • looking up, she meets a pair of brilliant green eyes, softened with sympathy in this moment
  • (but she knows just by looking at her that this woman can be hard, so hard and strong when she wants to be)
  • (and behind the woman stands a tall, bespectacled man with black hair, wilder and messier than hair really has a right to be, and she knows immediately that they are lily and james potter, who gideon and fabian talked about because of how bright and brave and in love they are)
  • when she does not answer, lily tries again, ‘you are pregnant, right? this isn’t some awful, social faux pas where i’ve asked a woman if she’s pregnant when she’s not, right?’
  • james sniggers and lily elbows him in the stomach
  • (and she wonders about these two, clearly so young, too young, for war and for a baby and for merlin knows what else might be coming)
  • (but she sees the way he holds her hand reverently, and the way she looks up at him reproachfully, her eyes betraying her amusement and embarrassment, and how he smiles and she smiles back and molly may as well not be there because they are so in love and damn the war)
  • ‘march,’ she eventually answers and the anxiety in lily’s face melts away
  • then molly casts her eyes downwards and smiles
  • ‘and you?’
  • ‘august,’ she answers, glowing like only a woman who is creating life can
  • lily’s hand skims across her stomach, the instinctual action of a woman whose belly is full of baby
  • (and molly would know, she has patted her own belly too many times to count)
  • ‘well, i guess our children will be going to hogwarts together, then,’ molly muses aloud
  • ‘maybe they’ll be best friends,’ lily smirks
  • and, for a moment, molly feels lighter because it is so reassuring to talk about the future in this way, to think about her children growing up in a world where they’re safe and happy and blood doesn’t matter and they can be whatever they choose to be
  • ‘potter and weasley,’ james is staring dreamily at the sky before dropping his gaze back down and grinning widely
  • ‘hogwarts won’t know what hit it.’
  • she never sees them again
  • her hands shake when she reads about them in the daily prophet
  • and she cries when she thinks about how they were bright and brave and so young
  • (too young and so in love)
  • (and now gone too soon)
  • she never forgets, but the memory does fade, the memory of meeting a vivacious couple on one of the worst days of her life and how they gave her hope for a future when the word future felt like taboo
  • and it doesn’t happen the way any of them had predicted, but it happens
  • because ron writes home in september 1991, talking about how he made friends with harry potter and how he stuffed himself silly on the hogwarts express because harry was generous and cool and being friends with him was easy and natural
  • so she thinks of lily and how she rubbed her belly, green eyes alight with hope
  • and she thinks of james and his cheeky grin and what he said that day
  • ‘potter and weasley. hogwarts won’t know what hit it.’
  • and she smiles

One Direction split was painful... but it was Harry wanted, says Louis Tomlinson

WHEN ONE DIRECTION began an extended hiatus at the end of 2015, much was made of the friendships and alliances within the world’s biggest band.

LOUIS TOMLINSON was the natural leader of 1D and keen for the group to continue their chart-conquering progress.

But his former BFF HARRY STYLES was ready to go on an indefinite break, leading to understandable tensions within the group. In part two of his revealing world-exclusive interview, Louis is brutally honest about that difficult period, shining a light for the first time on how the decision to split was made.

He says: “It was an uncomfortable time more than anything. We’ve always had a level of respect for each other in these meetings and we always said that 100 per cent honesty and openness is so important if you’re going to get on as a band.

It made those situations a little bit difficult because I felt like I really was building up confidence in myself and in my place within the band and as a songwriter in the band.I could feel that potentially it was going to be a break. What was difficult was trying to understand how long that might be. So that process was kind of a little uncomfortable.

You’re asking guys who have grown up being best friends to make selfish decisions, which they should do, based on themselves.“But it doesn’t change the fact that it was difficult for me to accept at first.”

However, 18 months on, with the launch of a promising solo career, Louis’ opinion has changed.

He says: “If you asked me now if I think it’s the wrong decision, I don’t think it was. I think the market and the fans and everyone had had so much of One Direction that regardless of any individual ventures, the market could do with a two-, three- or however long break away from us.”

Louis — who yesterday released his new single Back To You with rising star BEBE REXHA,— is honest that he is not as close to Harry as NIALL HORAN or LIAM PAYNE.

He says: “There’s no politics or anything. Inevitably in a band, you’re going to get some people who get on really well and some people who get on quite well. I have forever had a very, very high level of respect for Harry. He’s great in this situation, he’s great on stage, he’s a great musician and artist. It’s just one of those things that happens naturally in a band.”

Louis and Harry’s friendship was also dogged by a ridiculous five-year conspiracy by a group of determined fans known as Larries.

They believe that the pair are in a romantic relationship that was covered up by 1D management, SIMON COWELL and even me (I promise you I’d have been delighted to report that Harry and Louis were an item if that were the case).

Sadly, Louis admits the pressure from Larry conspiracy theorists was a factor in their friendship struggling, especially given the serious relationship he has with girlfriend Eleanor Calder.

He says: “I’ve never actually been asked about it directly. It’s a funny thing. It kind of happened naturally for me and Harry because a certain amount of the fans drew up this conspiracy.

When it first came around I was with Eleanor, and it actually felt a little bit disrespectful to Eleanor, who is my girlfriend now. I’m so protective over things like that, about the people I love.

So it created this atmosphere between the two of us where everyone was looking into everything we did. It took away the vibe you get off anyone. It made everything, I think on both fences, a little bit more unapproachable. I think it shows that it was never anything real, if I can use that word.”

In recent months I’ve asked Liam, Niall and Harry whether 1D could re-form without Harry or with former bandmate ZAYN MALIK.

Louis is clearly surprised by the question and takes a long time to think before replying: “When Zayn left, it still felt like One Direction, but we still didn’t feel like the whole. So then to even take maybe Harry out as well — it’s something that I can’t ever imagine, really. I feel like it’s got to be for the fans, and not for the three that want to get back together.”.

Louis is clearly keen for the band to get back together, but he understands that Harry — currently promoting his big-screen debut in the film Dunkirk — has not yet made a decision.

He says: “Harry is actually an inspiring person to watch as a businessman, as a musician. He doesn’t really lose, Harry. He’s a very, very hard worker and his potential is massive in so many different fields.

So I don’t know the answer, but if I’m Harry . . . I don’t know yet. Honestly, I just think it’s too difficult to say, especially with someone like Harry, who’s got so much potential. It’s just kind of a confusing place for him to be as an individual, to be like, ‘OK, what is next?’ ”

1D fans are asking exactly the same thing . . .

THE end of 1D was hard on all the boys – and now Louis has revealed how upsetting it was after their final concert in Sheffield.

He said: “I’ve got this video from the last show. There’s a minute of me and Niall hugging, just kind of sobbing like, ‘This is f***ing crazy.’

”Louis was always close to Niall, but being apart hasn’t dampened their friendship.

He added: “Niall’s the best. We just get so excited about each other’s s**t.” Cute.

Holding on to Si

HE was discovered on The X Factor, and it was on that stage that One Direction gave their final performance in December 2015.

But Louis has admitted he felt frustrated last summer when he wasn’t given a judging role following lengthy discussions about replacing NICK GRIMSHAW.

He said: “It was something that I would have liked to have done. But it’s business. That’s how it works. It was kind of surprising to see me essentially being replaced by LOUIS WALSH.”

But the Just Hold On singer held no grudge against show boss SIMON COWELL. He is the only 1D member to sign with Cowell’s Syco label after the pop guru masterminded the group’s success.

Louis said: “Simon has always been willing to listen. It was a no-brainer to me.”

It has certainly worked well so far.

———————————————————————————————————

FROM London to LA, Louis has lived around the globe since 1D began. But he still cherishes his home town Doncaster, where he shot the video for his new single.

He said: “I love it. I feel like I owe people from Doncaster. But I just get this feeling . . . I want to push Doncaster on everyone.”

Louis, whose baby son Freddie Reign lives in LA with his ex Briana Jungwirth, added: “LA’s very different to Doncaster. The people are chalk and cheese. I obviously cherish my time with my son and it’s fantastic for work and the weather is great, but I do cherish my time back home.”

—————————————————————————————————————————–

LIAM PAYNE and CHERYL are one of the most loved-up couples in pop, but even Louis didn’t quite believe they were together at first.

Asked if he thought his bandmate was joking when he confided in him about his relationship, Louis said: “I’m not going to lie, I wasn’t 100 per cent. I’m not saying I didn’t buy it – of course I did. It was just a little bit surprising for me at first.”

He knew about the couple’s secret romance in February last year at the Brit Awards but kept his lips sealed.

Louis continued: “I remember being outside and sharing a cigarette with them and him being excited and trying to play it cool. But I’m really happy for him. I think it’s important that Liam has someone around him who’s going to really look after him. I don’t know Cheryl too well. I’ve always thought she’s lovely, so hopefully she looks after our Liam.”

Bless.
